Science Of Stress
The Science of Stress is an informative video by National Geographic detailing the body
response to stress. Stress is the body s way of getting itself prepared to face a challenge. It is
constant problem that everyone has to deal with. It was originally meant to aid our survival, but
over time it has become dangerous and lethal to our well being. National Geographic s video
gives us a scientific view of what goes on in our bodies when experiencing stress and its effects
on it. Humans frequently turn on the stress response that was intended to assist our survival in
reaction to the everyday challenges we face. Professor Michael Marmot conducted a study in
England of 28,000 people s health over a course of 40 years. Each person was a British

Antoine Henri Jomini
The eighteenth and nineteenth centuries were turbulent eras generating several changes in the
way how commanders led the war. The world owes a debt to one man for interpreting and
recording his contributions to strategy and the art of war: Antoine Henri Jomini. The purpose of
this paper to explain why the Jomini s theories are a school of thoughts that remain adequate for
explaining warfare in the modern era. The importance of logistics, the acceptance of principles of
war, and the concept of the geometry of battlespace proposed by Jomini s theories are three broad
concepts that are still adequate for explaining in the modern era. Incorporating the logistics in the
planning process is a key task to achieve important militaryoutcomes. Clausewitz... Show more

Mallick argues that The Principles of War are the principles expressing the rules of military
thought and actions that serve as the permanent basis for combat doctrine. Ettrich mentioned
that to have a better understanding of how Jomini developed his principles of war creating a set
of thoughts that have remained relatively unaltered for approximately two centuries, it is
necessary to study his life, his intense studies of war, military career, and the circumstances that
shaped his tactical and strategic thinking. Jomini as the same way of other military philosophers,
tried to articulate his insights about of the art of war presenting his ideas through a list of
maxims or as a list of general truths whose application contributes to success in war, they may be
legitimately viewed, as the prototype of the modern principles of war . Jomini s maxims are the
closest thought to the modern principles of war. Without considering the fact that Jomini never
defined his concepts like general principles of war, nor did he provided precise details of the
fundamental principles he wrote, these have been adopted for many armies in the world. In
chapter six of Peter Paret s Makers of Modern Strategy: From Machiavelli to the Nuclear Age,
John Shy mentioned that many of the nineteenth centuries military leaders accepted Jomini s
maxims as valid principles. Ettrich recalls that historically, the Jomini s concepts of principles of
war were introduced to the United States in 1817 and were used initially at the US Military
Academy; these principles are still valid in the US Army doctrine. Weigley argues that during the
United States Civil War, military leaders from both sides embraced concepts and principles
learned while studying as contemporaries at the Military Academy prior to the rise and secession
of the Confederacy ; as a result, Union and Confederates leaders achieved

Case Study Of General Tire
In 1979 Continental purchased the European tire factories of Uniroyal, the U.S. firm that was
started its retreat from the tire business. As a result Continental obtained a second French factory
and another German plant and factories in Scotland and Belgium. The other profit was the
established marketing position of the Uniroyal brand. The acquisition of Kleber Colombes, a
financially troubled French firm in which Michelinheld a major stake, was discussed, but not
pursued in 1980.
In 1985 Continental purchased the tire division of Semperit, the largest Austrian rubber firm, for
DM 47 million. The expansion and diversification joined with an economic upturn contributed to an
improvement in the firm s finances. The most remarkable step in Continental s transition, via
acquisition, to major international producer came in 1987 with the purchase of General Tire for
US$650 million from GenCorp. Continental obtained the four factories, the brands, the original
equipment contracts, and the marketing network of the fifth largest U.S. tire manufacturer. In
addition, General Tire had owned Mexican and Canadian factories. As a result, Continental then
accounted for 6.6 percent of the world tire market in 1988 and 8.1 percent in 1989, making it the

Suboptimal Subsidiary Management Case Study
The concept of suboptimal subsidiary management (coded as SSM) includes 5 subcategories:
в—ЏSSM ULA: suboptimal subsidiary management because of unbalanced level of autonomy;
Birkinshaw et al. (2000) recognize the issues that arise from the gaps in perception of subsidiaries
roles by the subsidiary managers and the headquarters managers: subsidiaries overestimate their
strategic importance and desire greater level of autonomy while headquarters seek control. These
perception gaps have strong implications on the subsidiary management as the motives of HQ and
subsidiaries grow to conflict as the perception gaps increase. Birkinshaw et al. (2000) also notes
that the subsidiaries that obtain valuable resources or capabilities often have stronger ... Show more

communication;
Ghoshal et al (1994)
в—ЏSSM NOS: suboptimal subsidiary management because of the new organizational structure;
This subcategory was derived from the data since the new organizational structure is specific to the

Cryptocus Neoformans
Cryptococcus neoformans is a fungus that lives in the environment around the world. This fungus
can be found in bird droppings, on rotted wood, or hollowed trees. C. neoformans is mostly
contracted by children, since they play outside around areas where the cohabitate. In order to be
infected with the fungus, one just needs to breath in or around it. However, this fungus is not
harmful to those who are healthy. It is especially harmful to anyone with a weak immune system,
such as those with HIV/AIDS.
Once infected with the fungus, it usually targets the lungs and central nervous system, but may also
affect other parts of the body. The infection is called Cryptococcosis. The infection is not at all
contagious; as a matter of fact one

Physiological And Psychological Benefits Of Sports Massage...
Physiological and psychological benefits of sports massage treatment
Within this section I will be combining the benefits of both physiological and psychological
influences as they both link together within some benefits of sports massage.
Sympathetic and Parasympathetic nervous system benefits (Physiological)
Sports massage also allows us to have beneficial effects on the sympathetic and parasympathetic
nervous system. Massage allows us to increase these responses by stimulating them more allowing
us to increase the athlete s performance rate and also the increase of sufficient the body works.
Within the sympathetic system we are able to increase the stimulation rate before the activity. This
can benefit athletes by making them prepare quicker to the activity ahead of them, allowing them
to increase their performance rate. Within the parasympathetic system we are able to also increase
the sufficiency of this, allowing athletes to recover quicker and reach an anabolic state quicker. For
example, doing a massage on a marathon runner will allow us to increase their sympathetic nervous
system reaction before the race by preparing them before they run, e.g. increased heart rate,
allowing the athlete to increase their performance rate. After the race, the parasympathetic nervous
system will allow the runner to recover and reduce their working rate more sufficiently and faster.
Also stimulating the nerves more, allows us to increase the speed of the action potential being

Self Evaluation Essay On Fettuccine Alfredo
Adult Comment: The fettuccine alfredo was delicious! The lemon juice in this recipe gave the
dish a nice balance between salty, sweet and sour. Also, the nutmeg gave the dish an amazing
depth of flavour. The appearance of the plate was also really well presented. It was simple and
clean with no sauce on the outer parts of the plate. Amanda also prepared this recipe really well.
At the beginning she made sure she had all of her ingredients and right measurements and had all
her equipment needed. The cleanup went really well. She cleaned all the dishes and tools used and
put them back in the drawers. Amanda also wiped down the counters to make everything spotless!
This dish was really delicious!

identified to be Mr. Samaren, the owner and the general manger of AEF. Since the
communication during the OD process will be web based and not a face to face process, the
direct clients were kept limited. During the initial interview, via Skype, with the owner, he
exposed that AEF has been working on a strategic plan with Dr. Ali, a professional consultant and
the director of M DC. Although the outcome of this project may impact the whole organization if
decisions were made accordingly, the relevant clients were identified as the three members who
are the key holders of knowledge about the new strategic plan: the owner, Dr. Ali, and the deputy
general manager, Mr. Akber Ahmad. Hence, a project work plan was emailed to the clients to keep
them on track with the OD process as well as set clear expectations about the study. (Exhibit 1).
Later on, a form of initial diagnosis questions has been sent to Dr. Ali to identify the main

John Winthrop And Sewall Analysis
The Age of the Puritan Writers There are many writers (works) who have contributed to American
Literature with their Puritan ideals. Furthermore, two of the main Puritan standouts of this time
were John Winthrop ( A Model of Christian Charity ) and Samuel Sewall ( The Selling of Joseph
). Although, both writers showed differences in their style of writing, they both try to spread a
greater message: that the world should be unified and just in their dealings with one another,
because this is the only way God would allow for their success. To visualize a clear picture of this
unification and justification, Winthrop and Sewall organized the structure of their works in stating
a thesis/purpose for their writing, proof of evidence using biblical... Show more content on

Sewall used stories from the bible and connected them to worldly situations that were occurring
at this time. For example, he mentions how God hath given the Earth [with all its commodities]
unto the sons of Adam, Psalms 115.16. And hath made of one blood, all nations of men, for to
dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds
of their habitation: That they should seek the lord, forasmuch then as we are the offspring of
God, Acts 17.26,27,29 (Sewall 232). He uses these scriptures to explain to Americans how God
has told them to live their lives on his earth. Everyone is entitled to freedom on his land because
they are all equal (because of the blood of him they all share), and that they should hold to his
unchanging hand because he is their father and will lead them in the right way. John Winthrop
used his scriptures to express how people should become and remain one body of Christ to
prosper in the New World they were starting. Ephesians 4.16 says: Christ, by whom all the body
being knit together by every joint for the furniture thereof, according to the effectual power which
is the measure of every perfection parts, a glorious body without spot or wrinkle, the ligaments
hereof being Christ or his love, for Christ is love [1 John 4.8] (Winthrop 171). Winthrop is saying
that loving each other as Christ loves

The Life Course of a Mass Murderer
On April 16, 2007 one of the most devastating mass murders in U.S history occurred at a Virginia
college. Seung Hui Cho a 23 year old South Korean alone executed the killing of 33 people by
securing colleges doors to prevent escape of any students. Events such as these are truly tragic and
devastating to all involved. By gathering background information about Seung Hui Cho, we can
effectively examine social development theories as they relate to Cho and review my analysis that
this particular occurrence was preventable. Born in South Korea, Seung Hui Cho immigrated to

Cho had a hard childhood and was in the shadows of his very successful sister. Even in college
Cho had no friends and began to look up to other school shooters as martyrs. Although these
individuals were not his friends at all in his situation they were the closest thing to having friends.
In college Cho was accused of stalking women on two different occasions, was caught taking
photos of the legs of female students in class and was separated out of classes. I believe that Cho s
antisocial lifestyle along with the transition any from home eventually lead him to commit the mass
murder. Cho s anti social lifestyle seemed to escalate to criminal behaviors from the time he went
off to college until the time of the Virginia Tech shooting. I believe that this tragedy could have
been prevented if the proper preventative measures and treatment techniques were taken. As a boy
Cho should have been taken in for a mental evaluation but I believe the integration of his family
into the American society prevented that. In high school Cho being bullied and teased could have
been put to a stop by teachers and surrounding students. Also when Cho started writing gruesome
poems short stories and plays he should have been recommended to a counselor. Any counselor that
Cho had encounters with could have been a lot more persistent in getting to the bottom of Cho s
situations. A teacher college teacher doesn t just separate a student from her class. Finally

Construction Project Management and Business Management
Over the past few years, the construction industry has been changing dramatically. One of the most
important stages in the construction management and business management is the planning phase.
They share similar two main levels of planning which are the strategic and operational planning.
However, business management planning to decide in advance what should be done, and how to do
it, when you do and you are done. On the other hand, Construction management strategic planning
is to deal with selection on a high level of overall objective of the project, including the scope,

In addition, management according to Cole (2008) is achievement of the objectives through to the

Construction management and business management share similarity elements of planning such as,
goals, policies, rules and procedures. Nevertheless, they differ in the chart when the standard is the
time. Planning for the construction management regard only to the period required to complete a
construction project. However, business management planning can be divided into long term
planning and short term which aims to give a clear picture of business for the future.
The stages of the construction project management differ from the stage of business management,
in several respects. For example, construction management first stage is the resolution; it is
necessary to identify requirements relating to the project by the owner and choose a consult to
help in completing a preliminary assessment for the project and the feasibility, also the impact of
its presence in the economic and social development areas. However, planning is the first stage on

A Description of the Learning Organisation Within the a E...
The concept of a learning organization knows its roots back to Garratt in 1987, which later on in
the late 90 s was revived by Peter Senge. Senge (1990) focuses on the organization acting as a unit
where innovative ideas are generated and common goals are reached. Collective commitment of the
team is fundamental. Furthermore, according to Senge (1990), the organization must go through 5
domains in order to reach the productivity of a learning organization: systems thinking, personal
mastery, mental models, building shared vision and team learning. Therefore it is clear that
organizational learning goes beyond knowledge. This notion involves the process of action and
reflection (Carroll amp; Edmondson, 2002) or action learning (Revans,... Show more content on

Unfortunately the A amp;E department allocates very little time to cater for open dialogue
sessions. Although there is a great sense of teamwork amongst the multidisciplinary team,
discussions are usually done at the managerial level. Furthermore there are instances where staff
feels threatened to voice their perspective (Sheaff amp; Pilgrim, 2006). In fact as described by
Snell, 2002, a hierarchy could be dangerous to a learning organization. Leaders should be the
gatekeepers of the organization culture making them accessible (Snell, 2002). One issue leaders
of the A amp;E department may not be sensitive to the psychological aspect of nurses. A day full
of heart touching situations can bring a surge of emotions which maybe hard for an individual to
cope with. As suggested by Stinson, et al., 2006, time to smell the roses , is the opportunity where
staff can find time to reflect and enjoy leisure activities together. This is also makes way for a
better relationship between staff members, which in turn gives a quality patient care. Another
troublesome issue concerning the A amp;E is the fact that parts of the A amp;E department are
being used as a ward. This is both creating unsafe nursing practice and is in the way of emergency
nursing care. This issue is attracting media and public criticism that in turn leads to job
dissatisfaction. This all creates a viscous cycle, which ultimately affects the patient care.

Baby Designer Babies
Greetings to all you prospective parents! Please grab a seat, a baby trait catalog and we shall begin

So will it be a boy or a girl? Will you go for brown hair or blonde? How about a redhead? Would
you prefer a taller child? Intelligent and good with his hands? Do you want them to be a slender

My friends what you have just witnessed could be a very real introduction given by a genetic
counsellor or a baby designer company to their clients in the not so distant future. The term
designer babies was popularized in 2000 by Glenn McGee in his book A Perfect Baby: A Pragmatic

The process of designing your own baby would be very expensive, which would prevent
everybody except the extremely wealthy to be able to take advantage of this technology. Even
relatively routine procedures like in vitro fertilization (IVF) can cost up to $20,000 according to
IVF Canada, with PGD adding an additional $10,000 to that total. Since the able to afford this

over people like me and you from the second they are born because not only do they belong to a

life than those who belong to lower classes creates new class system between the genetically
enhanced and the not genetically enhanced which would tear open the rich poor gap that already

Mycenaean Fortifications
Late Helladic fortification walls on the Greek mainland are found surrounding citadels, not the
entire city or site. The citadels seem to have housed central administration and housing for an elite
class of citizens. They were built on hills, presumably as another layer of fortification. I will

design and architecture of their fortifications, as well as, arguments about the purpose of the
fortifications at these sites. I will also explore how some sites were hindered or helped defensively

The site of Midea is near Mycenae and Tiryns. Midea s fortification walls were observable by
19th century travelers (Iakovidis, 1983) and later excavations uncovered the gates from the
walls as well. Like other Late Helladic sites, the fortification walls were built on a natural hill. At
Midea this hill is surrounded by a plain and is significantly taller than the surrounding area at 171
meters and the slopes are hard to climb. This puts the citadel of the site in an easily defensible
position in case of any attack. The hill is so steep in areas that builders did not need to build
fortification walls on the east and south east sides.
The walls at Midea were built using Cyclopean masonry like other fortification walls found from
this time. The walls are also very thick, ranging from 5.50 7 meters in various areas (Iakovidis,
1983). Like other Mycenaean sites, there is also evidence of a palace area inside the fortification
walls. Terracing and other buildings have also been uncovered during excavations, in keeping with
the traditional role of the fortification walls being placed around an administrative or elite center.
Unlike some other Mycenaean sites, Midea s fortification walls entrance gates were relatively
simple and the walls were never expanded. Midea also has examples of L Shaped gates which are
rare on the Greek mainland. L Shaped gates had 90 degree turns, and while it was a defensive

The Realtor points at stereo. Next to it a massive collection of Electric Light Orchestra is seen with

Apart from everything he loved, the thing he loved most, if you could not tell already, was

Analysis Of The Book Halfbreed By Maria Campbell
Summary Maria Campbell s autobiography Halfbreed is a moving story about a young Native
girl s battle to survive, in coming to terms with the past and in discovering a way to build a
brighter future in an atmosphere of social abuse and viciousness. Campbell is the oldest
daughter of seven children, and was born in northern Saskatchewan. Within the book, she points
out the differences between the Native people and the whites, as well as those of status Indians
with non status Native people. Both whites and full blooded Native people rejected her due to
her designation as a non status Native, otherwise known as Metis. Filled with a strong feeling of
resentment and anger, Campbell s search for self identity and her struggle to overcome the
poverty, discrimination, and cruelty experienced by Metis individuals are described within the
novel. When Campbell was twelve, her mother passed away. As a young girl, she was forced to
give up school and take on the role of the mother to her younger siblings. At fifteen years old,
Campbell felt obligated to marry in order to prevent her younger brothers and sisters from being
taken away from her and her father. Unfortunately, her diligent work and good intentions did not
keep her family together. Her spouse, a white, abusive alcoholic, reported her to the welfare
authorities, and her siblings were taken away and placed in foster homes. Her husband chose to
take his family to Vancouver, where he abandoned her and their newly born child.

Skiing Industry Animals
Mark C.J. Stoddart conducted a study about animals presence in skiing industry in his article,

especially mountains and forest; however, that public perception has been overlooked one thing:
animals are also present as the part of nature (Stoddart, 2011). The subject of this article is to

Joaquin †El Chapo’ Guzman
The arrest of Joaquin El Chapo Guzman was a victorious circumstance for the Mexican
government, who have been closing down on his presence for the recent past years. Mexican
authorities began taking down high ranked members of the Sinaloa Cartel including two of
Guzman s main associates. On February 22, 2014, the world s most wanted man had also been
captured. Although the biggest drug lord has been captured, the crime and violence left behind
cannot be forgotten. Joaquin El Chapo Guzman Loera was born on April 4, 1957 in Sinaloa,
Mexico. He was born into a poor family in a rural community. His parents are Emilio Guzman

In the late 1970 s, Guzman worked under the drug lord Hector El Guero Palma by transporting
narcotics near U.S. Mexico border through aircraft. Although Guzman s rank in the cartel was
very minimal, he took his job very seriously. For example, if any of his drug shipments were not
on schedule, he would kill the smuggler himself usually letting them experience a slow and
painful death. Business partners quickly learned that ripping Guzman off or betraying him was
not an option. The way Guzman handled business helped him gain popularity. In the 1980 s, the
dominant Guadalajara Cartel introduced him to Felix Gallardo, one of Mexico s high ranked
drug lords. Guzman began working for Gallardo as a chauffeur then quickly moved up in the
business with the role of coordinating drug shipments from Columbia to Mexico through land,
air, and sea. Palma on the other hand delivered his drugs into the United States. Guzman earned
himself a lot of respect for his work and began working for Gallardo directly. Throughout the late
70 s and early 80 s, Mexico drug traffickers were the middlemen for Columbian drug trafficking
groups. They would simply transport drugs into the U.S. and receive a fee for each kilogram. At
this point Gallardo was the top drug kingpin in Mexico. When Gallardo was arrested, Guzman
reportedly lived in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He owned several houses throughout

Human Motivation In East Of Eden
In his novel, East of Eden, John Steinbeck presents Cathy Ames with human motivations, despite
her character representing pure evil, to emphasize humanity s potential of evil. When Cathy is first
introduced, the narrator calls her a monster, but in chapter seventeen, the narrator begins to doubt
his claim, pitying her waiting for her pregnancy to be over, living on a farm she did not like, with
a man she did not love (138). By including a statement discussing her unhappiness gives Cathy a
human motivation to escape, although her escape is evil. When Cathy leaves, she shoots Adam
because he attempts to stop her, but she does not aim for his head or heart to kill him, only a shot
to the leg, which is enough to stop him, but not enough to kill him. A fatal shot would have been
easy for Cathy, however, she had no reason to, so she only damaged Adam enough to achieve her
goal. Unwanted pregnancies and unhappy marriages are all situations women attempt to escape,
and in some cases, in extreme ways, like shooting their husbands. Humanizing Cathy connects
humanity to evil.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Information Technology And The World Wide Web Creating New...
1. Are information technology and the World Wide Web creating new bases for power and
domination?
There are various levels of domination that are associated with technology. For instance,
employers can use this to create businesses opportunities that span the world. Jobs can be
outsourced allowing for one nation to profit without paying or supplying their workers with fair
wages or safe work environment according to their federal guidelines. They can profit off cheap
labor and unethical standards without repercussions at the same time workers are being controlled
by their employers and can be overseen in a more rigorous way to regulate and ensure productivity.
There is also the issue of accessibility many employers can infringe on the privacy of their
employees. In addition, development in technology have allowed contemporary corporations to
expand their monitoring power and control over their employees page 107 Social Inequality. The
use of cellphone and computers can enable employers to have access to workers beyond the
workplace. Technology has broken down the traditional divide between work and home, the public
and the private spheres (pg. 107 Social Inequality).
Is it the corporate rich who will claim these bases or are new, powerful groups being created by
these technological developments?
Power relationships are shaped by people s mental biases and beliefs about individuals in other
groups (pg. 108 Social Inequality). Despite the creation of new groups,

Paradigm Shifts of Church History
This essay is to discuss the six paradigm s shifts as highlighted by Bosch. The six paradigms are;
primitive Christianity; the patristic period; the Middle Ages; the Reformation; the Enlightenment;
and the Ecumenical era[1]. Bosch s title for the book is Transforming Mission . As described by
Bosch in his foreword he talks about the title as ambiguous. Transforming can be an adjective used
to describe mission . Mission can be understood as not the enterprise that transforms reality, but
something that is itself being transformed. Let s now look at the first paradigm shift.
1. Primitive Christianity

Bosch noted that the Protestant missionary paradigm tended to vary from various extremes.Bosch
shows that although the idea of mission was there among the Protestants, their involvement was
limited. This was due to; (a) their primary task was to reform the church; (b) contact with non
Christians was little (c) they were struggling to survive; (d) denial of the monastic orders meant
they denied themselves access to important services and (e) their own internal struggles. Luther s
reformation made little sense of this world, Calvinism in Holland (developed Luther s doctrine of
justification by faith) and Puritanism in England (the Protestant church regarded the Reformation
of the Church of England as incomplete and sought to simplify and regulate forms of worship)
did. Bosch then refers to Gisbertus Voetius s threefold model of the theology of mission. He sees
these dimensions as; (a) conversion of the Gentiles (b) planting of the church and (c) the glory and
manifestation of divine grace (he saw the churches of old and new standing as equal)[7].
Enlightenment Period
Mission during this period was diverse and multifaceted than ever before. The change from
medieval to enlightenment thinking made the supernatural redundant and the

Comparing Blank Page And The Bloody Chamber
Isak Dinesen s Blank Page (1957) and Angela Carter s The Bloody Chamber (1979) are both
stories centralizing issues on gender by particularly focusing on women, female body and indeed
questioning concepts like gender roles and female identity. Briefly, The Blank Page, is a short story
about how female identity is constructed in which Dinesen questions this identity symbolically
through the story about women and tradition of story telling. On the other hand, Angela Carter s
The Bloody Chamber is a story about young girl who is chasing the happily ever after dream
through getting married. And, shortly, her powerful husband who she seeks happiness is actually
an obsessed man with virgin girls and wants to kill them straight after taking their virginity. In this
essay, I will do a comparative reading to both stories and analyze them in terms of their differences
and similarities. However, considering the fact that there are numerous symbols in these stories I
will mainly focus on the concepts of blood, virginity, curiosity, and narrating style. And, also support

such with dignity and respect. Although America has a hard time showing that we are all equal, I

1900 s Fashion Essay
Fashion for women was lot different in the 1900 s from what we see today and it took lot of
time to reach this stage where a woman could choose what she wants to wear and how. The 1900

For ethical reasons all our results and conclusions will be based on statistics without revealing
who among those we tested is affected or not affected to the public. From the adoption study we
expect Schizophrenia to be more in biological relatives of schizophrenic adoptees than in those
of control adoptees. It will also be of great interest to us to observe if the risk of the adopted
away children to develop Schizophrenia increases if both genetic parents are schizophrenics
compared to if only one of the genetic parents is schizophrenic. Some of the genes may appear to
be associated with the disorder in some ethnic groups and not in others, which would make it
difficult to for us to say that a specific gene is associated with Schizophrenia in general population.
This may be because predisposition for Schizophrenia is created by different combination and/or of
genes in different populations interacting with certain environmental factors. As association studies
always follow linkage studies which identify possible genomic regions or even specific candidate
genes which contribute to the development of a genetically influenced disorder. Results from
linkage studies depend on a variety of factors, including the presumption of the mode of
inheritance, the involvement of genes whose effects are large enough to detect and the extent to
which family members are diagnosed accurately as either affected or unaffected with a disorder in
the schizophrenia spectrum. Since all of these factors are problematic, it is will not be suprising
that results from linkage studies are less conclusive and have yet to identify genes that major

Integrity and competition are key aspects in the business field; they measure the level of ethics and

* Economic development
Despite being the gateway to Africa, South Africa still has some economic challenges. Poor
infrastructure, low tourist attraction, and inadequate capital investment among others, are still big
headache for this country (Grundling and Steynberge 2010). By FIFA accepting to take this major
football event there, FIFA and the South African government were targeting to help spur economic
development in that part of the world.
Challenges
Like any other project, the 2010 FIFA world cupin South Africa faced many challenges. These
challenges, ranging from political to social, interfered with the planning of the event in one way or
another. Racial segregation, poor transport network, security threats and developing economy
challenged the project timeline in varied ways. To understand fully the implication of these
challenges, the report segments them as:
* Insecurity
Security is of prime concern and takes first priority whenever an event is planned and executed.
With the proliferations of the terror advancement throughout the world, the organizers of the 2010

The policy and regulations on the nurses scope of practice in every state varies, where few
states allowed their nurses to practice independently without the physicians supervision (Garner,
2010). But more states ...impede the full utilization of nurses ( Issues for Nursing, 2010, p. 3).
The ACA relies heavily on the concept of the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model
and free preventive care (Anderson, 2014, p. 3), but these models need sufficient primary care
providers to care for the newly insured individuals (Anderson, 2014, p. 3). With the primary care

euthanasia, involves bringing about the patients deathagainst their will or without asking. This
form of euthanasia is usually only brought up in slippery slope arguments and at the level of
social policy. Physician assisted suicide is similar to active euthanasia and usually supported on

physician who kills (6). Before assessing the moralityof such practices, we should take a look at

Reflection Of The Catholic Church
The Roman Catholic Church was the largest Christian church, with more than 1.25 billion members

communion, the sacrament of the Forgiveness, the declaration of principles, the sacrament of
Confirmation, the sacrament of the sick, the sacrament of the Marriage. Also, the Roman Catholic

divine favor and the ways to reach the eternal life or heaven. By studying the epistle to Romains
de St Paul, he is struck by the sentence The just man will live by the faith . By this revelation, he
acquired the conviction that the Man can be saved only by his faith and not by his good deeds. He
noticed that the hierarchy inside the Church was useless; he did not need intermediary between
God and the people because they are all equals. The papacy is thus questioned. So, further to the
affair of the Indulgences where the Pope sold young papers for the repurchase of the sins of the
believers to renovate the basilica St Pierre of Rome, Luther parts definitively from the Roman
Catholic Church. More important was his works on Paul s epistles and his obsession of the salute.
Luther said to himself that the man would have to accept his sinner s state and that he was

The purpose of this paper to explain why the Jomini s theories are a school of thoughts that remain adequate for explaining warfare in the modern era. The importance of logistics, the acceptance of principles of war, and the concept of the geometry of battlespace proposed by Jomini s theories are three broad concepts that are still adequate for explaining in the modern era. Ettrich mentioned that to have a better understanding of how Jomini developed his principles of war creating a set of thoughts that have remained relatively unaltered for approximately two centuries, it is necessary to study his life, his intense studies of war, military career, and the circumstances that shaped his tactical and strategic thinking. Jomini as the same way of other military philosophers, tried to articulate his insights about of the art of war presenting his ideas through a list of maxims or as a list of general truths whose application contributes to success in war, they may be legitimately viewed, as the prototype of the modern principles of war . Jomini s maxims are the closest thought to the modern principles of war. Without considering the fact that Jomini never defined his concepts like general principles of war, nor did he provided precise details of the fundamental principles he wrote, these have been adopted for many armies in the world. In chapter six of Peter Paret s Makers of Modern Strategy: From Machiavelli to the Nuclear Age, John Shy mentioned that many of the nineteenth centuries military leaders accepted Jomini s maxims as valid principles. Ettrich recalls that historically, the Jomini s concepts of principles of war were introduced to the United States in 1817 and were used initially at the US Military Academy; these principles are still valid in the US Army doctrine. Weigley argues that during the United States Civil War, military leaders from both sides embraced concepts and principles learned while studying as contemporaries at the Military Academy prior to the rise and secession of the Confederacy ; as a result, Union and Confederates leaders achieved ... Furthermore, two of the main Puritan standouts of this time were John Winthrop ( A Model of Christian Charity ) and Samuel Sewall ( The Selling of Joseph ). Although, both writers showed differences in their style of writing, they both try to spread a greater message: that the world should be unified and just in their dealings with one another, because this is the only way God would allow for their success. Everyone is entitled to freedom on his land because they are all equal (because of the blood of him they all share), and that they should hold to his unchanging hand because he is their father and will lead them in the right way. The concept of a learning organization knows its roots back to Garratt in 1987, which later on in the late 90 s was revived by Peter Senge. Senge (1990) focuses on the organization acting as a unit where innovative ideas are generated and common goals are reached. Collective commitment of the team is fundamental. Furthermore, according to Senge (1990), the organization must go through 5 domains in order to reach the productivity of a learning organization: systems thinking, personal mastery, mental models, building shared vision and team learning. Therefore it is clear that organizational learning goes beyond knowledge. This notion involves the process of action and reflection (Carroll amp; Edmondson, 2002) or action learning (Revans,... Although there is a great sense of teamwork amongst the multidisciplinary team, discussions are usually done at the managerial level. Furthermore there are instances where staff feels threatened to voice their perspective (Sheaff amp; Pilgrim, 2006). In fact as described by Snell, 2002, a hierarchy could be dangerous to a learning organization. Leaders should be the gatekeepers of the organization culture making them accessible (Snell, 2002). One issue leaders of the A amp;E department may not be sensitive to the psychological aspect of nurses. A day full of heart touching situations can bring a surge of emotions which maybe hard for an individual to cope with. As suggested by Stinson, et al., 2006, time to smell the roses , is the opportunity where staff can find time to reflect and enjoy leisure activities together. This is also makes way for a better relationship between staff members, which in turn gives a quality patient care. Another troublesome issue concerning the A amp;E is the fact that parts of the A amp;E department are being used as a ward. This is both creating unsafe nursing practice and is in the way of emergency nursing care. This issue is attracting media and public criticism that in turn leads to job dissatisfaction. Jobs can be outsourced allowing for one nation to profit without paying or supplying their workers with fair wages or safe work environment according to their federal guidelines. They can profit off cheap labor and unethical standards without repercussions at the same time workers are being controlled by their employers and can be overseen in a more rigorous way to regulate and ensure productivity. There is also the issue of accessibility many employers can infringe on the privacy of their employees. Mission can be understood as not the enterprise that transforms reality, but something that is itself being transformed. Let s now look at the first paradigm shift. 1. Luther s reformation made little sense of this world, Calvinism in Holland (developed Luther s doctrine of justification by faith) and Puritanism in England (the Protestant church regarded the Reformation of the Church of England as incomplete and sought to simplify and regulate forms of worship) did. Bosch then refers to Gisbertus Voetius s threefold model of the theology of mission. He sees these dimensions as; (a) conversion of the Gentiles (b) planting of the church and (c) the glory and manifestation of divine grace (he saw the churches of old and new standing as equal)[7]. Briefly, The Blank Page, is a short story about how female identity is constructed in which Dinesen questions this identity symbolically through the story about women and tradition of story telling. On the other hand, Angela Carter s The Bloody Chamber is a story about young girl who is chasing the happily ever after dream through getting married. And, shortly, her powerful husband who she seeks happiness is actually an obsessed man with virgin girls and wants to kill them straight after taking their virginity. In this essay, I will do a comparative reading to both stories and analyze them in terms of their differences and similarities. The Death Of Euthanasia And Euthanasia Euthanasia has long been a topic of debate and can be characterized as indirectly or directly bringing about the death of another person for that person s sake. Forms of euthanasia that are most commonly brought up include passive euthanasia, which is the legalized practice where someone is allowed to die by not doing something that would prolong life, and active euthanasia, which involves performing an action that directly causes someone to die. Furthermore, they can be further differentiated depending on whether it is voluntary, meaning they were competent and voluntarily requested it, or non voluntary, meaning they are not competent to choose for themselves and have not previously disclosed their preferences. Another form of euthanasia, called involuntary euthanasia, involves bringing about the patients deathagainst their will or without asking. This form of euthanasia is usually only brought up in slippery slope arguments and at the level of social policy. Physician assisted suicide is similar to active euthanasia and usually supported on the same grounds, except in the former, it is the patient who kills , while in the later, it is the physician who kills (6).
