few words that were not in chapter five, the chapter I chose to use as the source for my poem. I
also intended to include Gothic elements which were included in the first few lines when I
wrote: It was a dreary night, Dismal and wet, The rain poured from a black and comfortless sky.
I had worked hard. A dark stormy night is a Gothic element as it exhibits the metonymy of

all of the women mimicked the different movements that they have to do during their work day

though all of these women were making their voices heard, their bodies were still being
disciplined to work for these companies. The main reason these women stay is because they are
single mothers that sadly do not have other job opportunities. They have a lower economic status
due to their class and cannot leave. Although they receive some benefit is it minimal it keeps

I believe that insoluble solid #3 is actually Vermiculite. I believe this mainly because of the
appearance, the color, and reaction to flame. I also did a density test for vermiculite just for
small reference. The color of vermiculite seems to be either tanish or really light orange. The
only other solid that has a tanish/ light orangish color is sand. This insoluble solid cannot be
Sand because when I did the reaction to flame characteristic property test, it was glowing and if

Yes, actually a happy ending is portrayed in both the original myth and movie, but are very
different. In the original myth Hercules died as a result of a poison, and after having burned in the
funeral pyre, he obtained immortality (Greek Mythology). He may have died, but if he did not die

Dance Team Philosophies
Since I have been in this class I have gotten the opportunity to hear about many different directing
styles and team philosophies. This semester I got a chance to listen to Abby Payne, Tracey
Anderson, and Kellie Jackson Jandt. From listening to their experiences and drawing back on my
own experiences I have learned a lot about how I would want to lead my team. Abby Payne at Lake
Travis High Schoolclaims her team is all about the show. They do football, contest, and spring show
but spring show is the team s favorite. One thing that seemed unique about her team is that they
devote an entire group or the Elite team to preparing the dancers who want to dancecollegiately.
This is a great idea when you are in an area like Lake Travis because those dancers work hard in
both academics and dance so they are more likely to attend prestigious schools that have excellent
dance teams. It is a wonderful that Abby is taking steps to set them up for success in their future.
Another thing that is interesting to me is that Abby encourages them to be in other organizations
and to involve themselves in other things besides dance team so they can build their resumes. From
my experience a lot of directors prefer their dancers keep the dance team as the number one priority
and to not make too many other time commitments that take away from their devotion to the team.
It s very generous of Abby to allow the kids to take these opportunities to further prepare them for

opportunities of a benevolent democracy. Jackson s supporters, the Jacksonians, were as diverse as
they were numerous; northern farmers, southern and western yeomen, and even urban immigrants
all joined the ranks of the Champion of the Common Man (OI). During Andrew Jackson s two
terms, the state of Jacksonian Democracy that took form upheld the principles of equality and
majority rule that bound the United States together politically, economically and socially. During
the 1820s and 1830s, Jacksonians served as guardians of the Constitution and equality of economic
opportunity, and functioned as a catalyst for popular sovereignty, but sacrificed some individual
liberties to advance the political democracy in the union. As President, Andrew Jackson strictly
adhered to the guidelines set in the Constitution to uphold the union. In 1830, Andrew Jackson

Let s hope we don t get stuck at the gym. When we look at each other, for that split second, we
both have our heads turned to each other. We only focused on each others wide smiles that

quickly after, to the snow hitting my face and freezing it. I was not where I last remembered,

preconceived ideas and will make erroneous assumptions about others. It is difficult for some to see
through a fictitious exterior that one might fabricate. For example, in Death of a Salesman, the
characters view of Willy Loman drastically changes over the course of the play. In the Death of a
Salesman, Arthur Miller exploits the audiences view of Willy s character throughout the play via his
interactions with others.
To start, Willy is first characterized as a successful, esteemed salesman. Willy would frequently
tell Biff and Happy of the admiration others had for him; for example, Willy informed his boys
of how he met the Mayor of Providence for coffee. When the boys were young Willy would
often mention his success any chance he got. Therefore, as children, Biff and Happy adopted
their father as a notable role model. Because of Willy s remarks, the boys viewed their father as
