Good morning friends, family and all those of you who are here today to celebrate the life of a
great man, Victor Chang. Before I begin, I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to the Chang
family for their unfortunate loss. This was a senseless and wasteful murder of such an innocent man.
When I remember Victor, three words come to mind; Compassion, talent and persistence.

again moved overseas, to the USA in 1970, where once again he sought after more education. One

The way Germans and Americans think is totally opposite. Germans think deductively, and take a
scientific approach. On the other hand Americans tend to think inductively, they first form a goal
and figure out the details later. These styles but head because Germans often think of the American
approach as unrealistic. The negative side to the German thinking is that while are German is

A chalkboard caught my eye as a I strolled down the streets of Old Town Flagstaff. Scribbled in
