Essay On Having Low Self Esteem Essay On Having Low Self Esteem
Stereotypes In The Achievement Of Desire By Richard Rodriguez
There is this young girl named Katy. She comes from a family with low income, and little to no
educational background. She does not like sharing her background with others. When she does,
people sigh or seem uninterested and do not want to talk to her. Since she receives negative
feedback when sharing things, she decides not to share anything at all. She wants to do things
but feels obligated to do the opposite of what she wants to do because it is what is expected of
her. She is unhappy doing so, she is not herself. Many people are like Katy. In the sense that they
have expectations of others. The way people perceive us make us do or act a certain way. We
need to not let what others think or expect of us control us. The negative stereotypes we are
associated with can make us not be ourselves and be unhappy, causing us to do things because it is
expected of us and sometimes we set these expectations on ourselves.... Show more content on

Most people do not like being associated with stereotypes, especially negative ones. Richard
Rodriguez wrote about in The Achievement of Desire how he did not wat to be associated with
his parents. They were not bad people or anything but they were Mexican and did not go to
school. They did not completer their education and he felt as if others saw his parents and that
they were not educated, he will be perceived as less than what he is. I would not like to feel or be
treated as less because of my parent s lack of education. Rodriguez is not his parents, I am not my
parents, we are our own person. Negative stereotypes of lacking an education can make people try

Essay on intellectual property copyrights

Intellectual Property
Intellectual Property refers to all the intangible creations of the human mind, from scientific
inventions to literary and artistic works; from symbols to names and images used in commerce.
Earlier, Neo classical economics considered land, labour and capital as things of value. But
slowly information and energy are replacing them as wealth creating assets.[1]As , the world gets
more and more mobile , information can be transported instantaneously around the world , and
any advantage gained by a rival company can be discarded effectively overnight. In such a scenario,

Thus, a sustainability report should provide a balanced and reasonable representation of the
sustainability performance of a reporting organization including both positive and negative
contributions. CLP Chairman and CEO statement address this issue in a way that CLP have
already proved to be a sustainable business. However, the needs and expectations of their
stakeholders are evolving more quickly than before. The result is that CLP needs to anticipate,
adapt and act more quickly and effectively than ever if they are to sustain their business.
The Standard Disclosure section of GRI guideline specifies the base content that should appear in a
sustainability report. There are three different types of disclosures:

Analysis Of The Book Bahadur Singh
Everyone turned towards the door through which Bahadur Singh had entered the Darbar. Well,
Shyam, he said authoritatively, What is going on?
We caught this eunuch here in the garden. When he saw us he tried to run away and fought like a
man. What were you doing in the garden? he asked the soldiers harshly.
Her Highness, the Rani Sahiba ordered us to search for anyone who appeared suspicious, Shyam
explained. She ordered us to arrest him and bring him to her. Chandni knew the Rani had been
serious about finding out whom she had met. She was certain that she had guessed from where she
had gone from the dirt on her slippers. And she was committed enough to have sent the men.
Then, Bahadur Singh turned towards Bibi. For a moment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Now, I want them to take him to the lockup and to interrogate him.
Chandni eyes widened with shock and fear. The Rani turned to her and she lowered her gaze to
avoid her gleaming dark resentful eyes. Really, Chandni Jan, you must forgive my distrust, but I
have never heard such fantastic tales. Her knowing glance suggested she had been doing something
wicked.
Chandni could only gape at the ground desperately. In a moment, she realized that the Rani s eyes
were probing her face as if she would hunt out her inmost secrets. I don t apprehend your motives,
Bahadur Singh said impersonally.
Rani Sahiba smiled clandestinely, as though only she could comprehend what was happening.
Why worry? she asked. Let s say my motives are nothing less than my unwavering allegiance to the
treaty we signed with the English.
I am sure your motives are most sacred! Bahadur Singh replied, but we should wait for Raja Sahib
before taking any decision. I don t think he would allow anyone against whom no offense has been
established to be thrown in the prison.
Under these circumstances, the Rani snapped, perchance we should wait for him, and meanwhile I
will inform the English authorities in Delhi that this here this eunuch caught spying.
You may do as you wish, Chandra Singh said coldly, till then; he can be kept in the room reserved
for the guests.
The Rani considered it for a while, and then she yielded.
Chandni needed all her strength to stop the tears that

Classroom Management Strategies For High School Teachers
Six Classroom Management Strategies for High School Teachers
(Without Good Classroom Management a Teacher Loses Control)
One of the biggest keys to being a successful teacher is classroom management. Of course, there are
different needs depending on if you teach kindergartners or high school auto shop students, and
every teacher has his or her own individual style. A constant through out all classrooms is this,
without good classroom management, a teacher loses control. Once you lose control of the
classroom the amount of actual teaching and learning diminishes to almost nothing.
I am by nature not a strong disciplinarian and like to be relaxed and fun with my class. I will
never be known as that mean teacher . I am the teacher students think they can get away with
mischief in class, and in my early years, they did get away with a lot. I will never be up to the
level of one of my colleagues, who has been teaching high school English for almost 40 years. She
is a wonderful woman who can even scare other teachers during staff meetings if they were to talk
or fidget.
I have however, over the years been able to find ways to combine my somewhat easygoing
personality with some constant classroom rules and ideas to maintain a good learning atmosphere.
Here is a simple list of six suggestions I think most teachers will agree with and should use.
1) Over plan each day You need to keep students busy working or listening. If you have a dead time
at the end of your class, it can be

Caribbean Rum Essay
As defined by Fredrick H. Smith in his novel, Caribbean Rum: A Social and Economic History,
rum is the potable alcoholic beverage obtained by distilling sugarcane juice and the waste products
of sugar making (Smith 1). Imported African slaves on the islands of the Caribbean discovered the
distillation of the by product, molasses, into rum. At first, it was thought to be industrial waste;
however, quickly after, it became a global phenomenon, which rapidly amped up the economies of
several islands. Several attributes of rum developed from its ability to provide a temporary respite
from the challenges of everyday life in the region; therefore, contributing to the reconfiguration of
drinking patterns among both the European colonists and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Although it was associated with economic status and spiritual ways of escape, it was also viewed
as means of harm to certain groups. Drinking alcoholic beverages led to drunken vulnerability
among all sectors of society. It temporary lowered innate defenses that exposed individuals to all
sorts of dangers. A theme arose from the excess use of alcohol in the Caribbean: vulnerable while
drunk theme. It was presented throughout several different pieces of Caribbean folklore, which
exposed images of individuals drunken beyond repair. (Smith) The original function of alcohol has
greatly changed over the past few centuries leading to a new drinking culture. However, these types
of drinking habits were not just present throughout the Caribbean, but in fact all over the

Good morning/afternoon. Buying a new product can be stressful at the best of times, but when
the product is a new car worth $70,000, this stress can become overwhelming. When our client,
Mark, came to us to help him decide upon a new vehicle, he had already narrowed down the
selection to either a Mitsubishi Pajero or a Toyota Prado, having had experience with each. He
had also taken the liberty of creating a list of important observations about himself, in order for
us to help him make a quality, informed decision. The criteria are as follows: Mark has a daily
commute of 10km on average per day, so the car must have good fuel economy and comfort.
Aside from his work commute, he will drive his family members to various activities, so the
safety is a priority. Mark has a budget of $70,000 with which to buy the car, so the chosen
models must be under $70,000. Aside from city life, Mark runs a cattle station with rugged
terrain, so the car must also be up to scratch off road. Both the Toyota Prado and Mitsubishi Pajero
fit these criteria, and in order to create the fairest evaluation, the Pajero Exceed, valued at $66,500
and the Toyota Prado GXL (valued at $69,000), thus eliminating price as a contending factor. In

Blindness And Socialism
Blindness
Blindness by Jose Saramago is a piece that shows many examples of political ideologies. The two
most prominent being conservatism and socialism. Now, Jose Saramago being a prominent
believer in the ideas of socialism as a whole, it is no surprise that his book Blindness includes
many scenes that portray, in favor, the fundamental concepts of socialist beliefs. This includes the
variety of the people who were blinded and the cooperation and organization of the main party
involved. But, it is interesting to point out that he also includes examples of the beliefs of
conservatism but also scenes where he criticizes it. This can be shown in scenes like when the food
starts being stolen in quarantine and in the rise in the leadership of the man with the gun.
A concept of socialism is that everyone should be equal and that there should be no class
distinctions based on ownership to promote an equal playing field for all members of society. We
see this concept in action when the wave of blindness affects people of all classes, from a ... Show

Socialists believe that cooperation and groups are preferred over competition and individualism.
This cooperation results in strengthened bonds within the community and this is exactly what we
see throughout this book. An example would be the relationship between the members of the
doctor s ward. This can be seen in the decision of the women to comply with being used as
payment in order to get food. Even if they do not want to, they do it for the collective good. Not
one of them stays behind, and when they return they all shower together and this shows the
growing bond between them. Another example is when they escape the compound and decide to
stick together because they realized there is nothing left for them in their homes and that they are
better off with each other. This relationship goes to show the power they have as a group, and not

Essay On Immigrant Students In Secondary Schools
In this paper, I want to focus on Immigrant Students in Secondary Schools. As a previous high
school immigrant when I first arrived in United States, I have experience numerous difficulties in
school that I would never forget. In addition, I believe immigrant students of secondary school can
face major difficulties in learning English and succeeding in school. Since these students do not
have a lot of time than elementary students to learn English, and they have to pass several test that
require English skill such as the ACT and SAT. Above all, most secondary school texts and
materials require a sufficient English reading ability to understand, which will even make learning

There is one personal story that I have never told anyone, because I feel kind of ashamed if I talk
about it. I actually have no knowledge of American History; even I went to the full four years
public high school in America. That is why I am questioning the education system in the United
States. Instead of spending countless periods in regular History and Biology classes without
understand any materials, why schools do not offer History and Biology classes but just for ESL
student, using simple and easier form of English to understand, so immigrant students can actually
learn more about the subjects. In the addition, schools should also give an instructional program
that give English language learners access to academic concepts and skills. Therefore, I certainly
believe if there were program and curricular alternatives for students with limited English
proficiency, students would not experience a difficult time with their school. Moreover, research
has showed that due to these difficulties that immigrant students have to face, there is a high
dropout rates among language minority secondary school students. For example, Hispanic
students are more likely than White students to leave school during their high school years (10%
versus 4%; National Center for Education Statistics, 1996). In 1994, the number of Hispanic
students aged 16 24 who had not completed high school and were not enrolled was 30%, as

the argument posted. So firstly, what is atheism? Atheism is when you don t believe existence of
God or any other form of creator. While, theism is when you believe in the existenceof God. For the

Balfour Argument
The Balfour Declaration allowed for the establishment of a new Jewish national homeland called
Israel and the striping of land from the native Palestinians. Ironically, this declaration came at a time
when the idea of self determination was beginning to be recognized (Hisham, 1990). During an
address to the United States Senate in 1917, President Woodrow Wilson highlighted that:
No peace can last, or ought to last, which does not recognize and accept the principle that
governments derive all their just powers from the consent of the governed, and that no right
anywhere exists to hand people about from sovereignty to sovereignty as if they were property.
(Hisham, 1990)

area is in constant battle. Currently, the land belonging to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Although many in the US view middle eastern resentment towards them a result of its position for
freedom and democracy, another factor may involve the disagreement with US foreign policy. In a
survey of 2,620 men and women living in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia,
most participants voiced hostility towards the United States because of US policy and position on
the Israeli Palestinian conflict (Munson, 2004). Although the majority of the middle eastern
populations do not wish physical harm to American citizens, their views on US policy are shared
with some of the fanatics in those areas. One Islamic extremist and organizer for the terrorist
attack on 9/11, Osama Bin Laden, cited the suffering of Palestinians as a grave injustice supported
by the United States and one of his reasons for opposition against America (Munson, 2004). Despite
the fact that many other contributors to middle eastern disapproval of US policy exist, the Israeli

Globalisation and China’s Environmental Problems Essay
Is the lifestyle of people in Europe and the USA a major cause of China s environmental problems?
One of China s best successes has in turn been one of its biggest downfalls. One of the main
problems is China s greatest success which has been its phenomenal economic growth. This is one
of the main drivers of the current environmental problems that the country faces. Factories dump
pollutants into the air and water. It is difficult to see the Chinese government making the significant
sacrifices required to improve their environment if it means slowing down their economic growth.
In order to understand why China is in such environmental difficulties we need to understand why
the lifestyles of people in Europe and the US could be to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

These two areas are a result of increased industrialisation to keep up with the rapid growth in
Chinas export. One major external driver is outside influences such as the US, by the demanding
lower products and goods, manufacturers are forced to reduce any environmental safeguards
that they had in place. An example of this is when a textiles mill in southern China was caught
dumping 22,000 tons of contaminated water from its dyeing operation each day turning the
whole river dark red. Another driver behind behaviour such as this is the ever growing discount
clothing chain stores. Prices on fabric and clothing have fallen by 25% since 1995 and the
particular article this was taken from was put together back in 2007. The discount clothing giants
have become even more cut throat and competitive over the last few years. This behaviour is
what has made China a huge export giant but has cost them so much more. The inflated prices you
may pay elsewhere take into consideration the cost of manufacturing and all the other associated
costs in production and safe removal of industrial waste. From China a great deal of the time you
are paying simply for the product or service and not to cover the costs of environmental safeguard.
By 2006 there were 6000 registered environmental groups in China. They are growing in numbers,
influence and assertiveness. These groups are made up of people that are now beginning to
understand the consequences of rapid growth and

Improving Employee Turnover In The Workplace
It has been evident that organizations face challenges of maintaining employees within their firms,
and the challenge has been in place for a considerable period. Turnover in firms has been
associated with different costs that include the process of training new employees, training of the
same employees and their selection which has been seen to seen to exceed 100% of the total cost
on an annual basis which is usually witnessed in filling the existing position. The quit rate in the

Managers that are therefore in a position to obtain a shared understanding of issues to do with
employee turnover can be in a position to retain their employees and hence achieve a competitive
advantage. Turnover is also important for organizations so that they can r4place the old employees
in the process of them carrying out business processes (Glebbeek Bax, 2004). Organizations are in
a position to plan for employee replacement in the most convenient manner without necessarily
disturbing the existing equilibrium. Decisions about turnover made by the employees have also
been seen as an opportunity for employees to carry pout individual improvement. Employees are in
a position to carry out an assessment of the current job and bring into perspective the possible
alternatives that they can go for in the market.

The flavors we are addressing are Java, JavaScript, Java Applets and JavaBeans. We will discuss
their history, features, usage and syntax and finally follow up with a chart providing a comparison
of the different Java architectures.

JavaScript was commonly used to manipulate images and document contents. There were early
issues with JavaScript; security flaws, lack of development tools and often criticized for being
too unlike Java, or too much like Perl. (Champeon, 2001) However, JavaScript took on a life all
its own and in some circles was written off due to its simpleness, its security flaws and to some
extent because it could only be tested within the browser environment.
A Java Applet is a small program written in Java, which can be downloaded to any computer.
The applet is usually embedded in an HTML page on a Web site and can be executed from
within a browser. JavaSoft, the current name of the company which oversees the development of
the Java language, was founded in January of 1996, and a few months later released the Java
Development Kit (JDK) version 1.0. (Youmans, 1997) The concept of an applet came out of the
creation on the Java language. It enabled users to produce programs named applets which could be
transmitted and run over the Internet, a somewhat different end product from what was originally
envisioned back at the beginning of the decade. (Youmans, 1997) Java Applets came about as a
requirement for adding functionalities to HTML documents,

Haunting has affected my writing process as it has forced me to encounter past mistakes I have
made. Prior experiences such as ignoring a part of an assignment, or completely forgetting to do an
assignment have resulted in changes in my writing style and process. Due to prior mistakes of
skimming over essay prompts and writing them with no prior plans or ideas, I have significantly
changed my writing process. Originally I wrote essays with no outlines, and never examined
exactly what the essay prompt was asking. These past mistakes were careless and resulted in me
having to change the process in which I wrote to improve. During the assignment in which I
discussed how developing technology affects our status as human I failed to explain how the texts
used in the essay were related which resulted in unclear aims and confusion. To counter this error, I
made a detailed outline for the third assignment on haunting and examined the essay prompt more
significantly. Time affects my writing through haunting, because it results in me remembering
mistakes I have made haunt me during my writing process. Which in turn results in me trying to fix

Explore the similarities and differences in the presentation of female characters in A Streetcar
Named Desire and The World s wife
In this essay, I will be exploring the similarities and differences of female characters in A
Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams; and The World s Wife by Carol Ann Duffy. Both
texts denote women as somewhat weak and incompetent and as having a predatory attitude towards
the mainly dominant male characters. A Streetcar Named Desire was written in 1945 and it
initially connected with America s new found taste for realism following the Great Depression and
World War II. William s based the character of Blanche on his sister who was diagnosed with
schizophrenia. Williams himself was homosexual, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In A Streetcar Named Desire , the reader is able to see Stella fulfil the role of a protective mother
when agreeing to send Blanche to a mental institution. Despite Blanches shocking accusations,
Stella must ignore her sister for the sake of her child. Eunice says to her you done the right thing,
the only thing you could do. The reader is able to see the role of a female friend. In this case
Eunice supports Stella through the difficult time. This is similar to Queen Herod as in the poem,
Duffy shows her as having a lack of sense when it comes down to her baby daughter. Kill each
mother s son. Do it. Spare not one. Her sheer ruthlessness has been brought to light. In Queen
Herod , Duffy also makes references to friendship and sisterhood. The black Queen scooped out my
breast, this quote shows that women are willing to help each other in their times of need.
The traditional qualities of a wife are subverted in Medusa . Duffy presents Medusa as a woman
who has been engulfed by jealousy, caused by her adulterous husband. My brides breath soured
stank in the grey bags of my lungs. This quote displays that Medusa was once young and
beautiful, but as a result of marriage has become hideous. This contrasts with the character of
Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire , who is a devoted and loving wife despite the way Stanley
behaves towards her. He didn t know what he was doing....He was

The manager allowed for the staff to discuss their responsibilities by clarifying each of their roles
and any training they had recently attended. She discussed their individual roles and reminded
them that they are also part of a team so they should work together to gain the best possible
outcome for the community. She then asked each of them to discuss with the team what they were
currently working on and what projects they may need support with. This was an effective task as
some of the staff admitted to being unsure of what the others were working on and they then
offered their expertise in certain areas. Having regular staff meetings would be beneficial for this
team as having a lot of short term funding means the staff are unsure of what the other staff are
working on. Belbin (2010) states that teams need to spend time together if they are to continue to
be successful, regular team meetings would allow for the team to come together more regularly and
share ideas. I also feel that the manager should put more of an emphasis on staff training as this
would benefit their individual work roles. Although they are not individually registered with a

In certain religions and cultures, cancer is considered taboo and unspoken of, but spirituality is an
important component that serves as a bridge between the religion/culture and cancer. Spirituality is
an important addition to cultural considerations to curating a successive EOLC plan for children
with cancer. The concept of spirituality can be defined as how an individual seeks and expresses
meaning and purpose (Foster et al., 2010). It also involves how they connect to the moment, self,
others, and the sacred (Foster et al., 2010). Spiritual care is important because it can foster an
environment where children and their families can continue to grow even through the illness
experience. Spirituality is often neglected and overlooked by physicians who focus mainly on
eliminating visible symptoms. While health care providers may not necessarily see the benefits of
attending to the spirituality of a cancer patient, spiritual care and EOLC can help make life more
meaningful for the individual. In this population (children with cancer), it is especially important to
involve the patient, this translates to actively asking and listening patient about their values and
feelings. The expression of spirituality is an important developmental milestone in children, because
it centers on the child s understanding of life and death

Former Foster Youth Essay
One of the most pressing issues facing foster youth in America is employment following
emancipation. Former foster youth face many challenges in becoming self sufficient adults due to
the lack of a support system that a traditional family would provide for their children. There is an
insufficient safety net for a particularly vulnerable group and the statistics reflect poor care for
this demographic. By age 24, roughly half of all former foster youth are unemployed; those who
are employed earn a median income of $7,500 annually. In their first four years following their

The Other Family By Himani Bannerji
Individuals should learn to accept themselves for who they are, not what society wants them to
accept. As we continue to evolve, we build up our own characters, and they are typically a mix of
the ethnicity and culture we inherit from our family, various encounters in our life, distinctive
identity and personality we have. Our character and identity is not something that we get easily, it s
an intricate process. The story The Other Familyby Himani Bannerji is based on a motherand a

Canada and teacher is considered as the mainstream, it is a sort of social institution that a hegemony

when she sees a drawing of a white family by her daughter. It was the misperceptions of the kid
that lead to forget her identity or she was too small to identify it. So to examine about the identity
of the marginalized individual the beginning is to focus on the quality of the education. It is
necessary for every school system to teach equality and inclusions of every group status so that the
marginalized group are not left isolated from the society. Secondly, the fear of the marginalized

This movement was the outgrowth of a national condition which can be traced back into
eighteenth century. Decembrism itself was not only a short lived revolutionary idea but it was an
attitude held by at least two generations, a philosophy of political rebellion which came to climax
on December 14, 1825. Though defeated, the Decembrists left an indelible impression upon
Nicholas and throughout his reign, he always considered developments from a viewpoint
determined by his sad memories of December 14. In spite of the fact that it failed to achieve
immediate positive results, the revolt bore healthy seeds and it has been considered as the first

The Length And Vertical Jump Test
Introduction
A vertical jump test is used, both by athletes and the general public, to determine a variety of
functional actions. For example, it is commonly used to determine the development of elastic leg
strength (Mackenzie, B., 2007), jumping ability and it may even be used to asses recovery prior to
or post training (Baggett, K., 2004). In this investigation, the vertical jump test is being used to
determine whether there is any correlation between leg length and vertical jump height. The

covers every aspect of managing change, including essential principles, managing stakeholders,

Introduction
Significant organizational change occurs, for example, when an organization changes its overall
strategy for success, adds or removes a major section or practice, and/or wants to change the very
nature by which it operates. It also occurs when an organization evolves through various life cycles,
just like people must successfully evolve through life cycles. For organizations to develop, they
often must undergo significant change at various points in their development. That s why the topic
of organizational change and development has become widespread in communications about
business, organizations, leadership and management.
Leaders and managers continually make efforts to accomplish successful and significant change it s
inherent in their jobs. Some are very good at this effort (probably more than we realize), while
others continually struggle and fail. That s often the difference between people who thrive in their
roles and those that get shuttled around from job to job, ultimately settling into a role where they re
frustrated and ineffective.

redesign of the part time employee s hours. Currently, Medtronic considers part time as those
who work 32 or less hours per week. According to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), if an employee

We Must Focus On Gay Asian Men
What is gaysian? A gaysian is typically a term used to describe any gay man who is also asian.
This term however does extended to lesbians, but for this essay we will focus on gay asian men.
This topic is very personal to me because I am also a gay asian male. Being gaysian puts one into
two very different minority groups in america, you are both homosexual and asain with each of
their own obstacles and stereotypes attached. With this combination however there are very
specific issues that arise. Gaysain face many challenges and issues in america due to being who
they are. In this paper we will look at the history of these challenges and issues and further analyze
them from what we learned in class.
First off I would like to look at stereotypes which surround gaysians and break them down into
their root parts. As with any group of people, gaysians have their own set of stereotypes that are
attached to their identity. Such stereotypes include being feminine, submissive, haveing small
pinieses and being eternal bottoms. Worst of all there is a common thought that they are always
looking for a white man or sugar daddy. I would first like to analyze and break these stereotypes
down. Such stereotypes are made worse by problematic media representation of gay males from
asian cultural backgrounds .
The stereotype of always being feminine goes hand in hand with the demasculinization of all asian
men. The demasculinization of asian men actually goes back to racial profiling and

Marco Polo
In 1298 Marco Polo of Venice was arrested and put in prison in Genoa. Venice and
Genoa were involved in a civil war and Polo was charged with serving the Venetian
army. He was imprisoned without a trial.
Polo offered a unique defense. He argued that he owed no loyalty to Venice since he
had been gone for over 20 years. Further, he claimed that those 20 years were spent
in China. While in jail he told his story to his cellmate Rusticello who wrote the
story in a book called Description of the World and later, The Travels of Marco Polo.
Even in his time people doubted the stories in the book. They seemed far too
fantastic to the people of Europe. It is important to note, however, that Europe had
not yet seen the Renaissance and

The, An Insidious Parasitic Disease
Schistosomiasis, an insidious parasitic disease, is estimated to affect more than 240 million people
worldwide with 700 million people living in at risk areas. (World Health Organization.) The
prevalence is highest in the paediatric population as they have high exposure to infective water and
low levels of acquired immunity (McGarvey, 2000, p.269) Infection is acquired through contact
exposure to cercariae (larval stage of parasitic blood flukes) from activities such as swimming and
bathing in infected water. This parasitic disease leads to poor general health, delayed growth and
development, decreased cognitive development and reproductive health issues (Terer et al., 2013).
Until recently, treatment guidelines have focused on annual school based deworming programs
with the anthelminthic drug Praziquantel (PZQ.) In 2010, the World Health Organization (WHO)
expanded their treatment guidelines to include preschool aged children (children under the age of
five) in their mass drug administration (MDA) campaigns. This change came about from new
research exploring misconceptions related to epidemiology and immunology of preschool aged
children. Although it was been proven that Praziquantel is safe and effective in this population,
preschool aged children still have difficultly accessing appropriate treatment. This essay will discuss
the challenges and barriers in resolving this health inequity and in particular, the need for a suitable
pediatric Praziquantel formulation. These

Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, immune mediated disease of the central nervous
system (CNS) (Definition of MS). This disease is estimated to affect more than 400,000 people in
the United States alone, and about 2.5 million worldwide. In the United States, about 200 new
cases of MS are discovered weekly (Pietrangelo, Anne and Higuera, Valencia) . In a healthy person,
an insulation covering called myelin, coats the nerve fibers in the CNS (Article from mom). When
one develops MS, the communication between their brainand other parts of his/her body is
disrupted as an abnormal immune mediated response attacks the myelin coating that encloses nerve
fibers in the CNS. This causes a disturbance in communication between the CNS and... Show more

The symptoms are determined by the location of the plaques. Symptoms associated with plaques in
the spinal cord include: numbness or loss of feeling, weakness, bladder difficulties, bowel
difficulties, sexual dysfunction, and disturbances in feeling in the limbs or on the trunk (Rosner

When one has MS, many complications can occur. MS can lead to depression, and other mental
changes such as forgetfulness or moodiness (Mayo Clinic Staff). It also can lead to epilepsy and
paralysis. The loss of function and sensory may occur in the limbs. It also can prompt muscle

Suspense Episode Of The Supernatural
I have not watched the x files before, but from the beginning I realized it s a suspense episode
about the supernatural. The episode started with a teenage son arguing with his mother, she didn
t want him to go somewhere which made me feel something crazy about to happen. A mystery
crime of unusual nature where two FBI special agents Mulder and Scully were in charge of
solving it. I got confused because the story involves aliens and unnatural. I am not a person who
is into fiction and unnatural. I even thought for a while when they talked about Jerry Springer
Show it might be a comedy. I must say it was not like other shows such as, Law and Order where
they have a clear plot and the steps of solving a crimeis easily understood.

Proposal For Employee Training And Support At Guaranteed Rate
MEMORANDUM
TO:Kasey Marty Executive Vice President of Secondary
FROM:Nico Nelson, Secondary Marketing Analyst
DATE:
July 28, 2015
SUBJECT:
Proposal to Enhance Employee Training Support at Guaranteed Rate
Attached is my proposal to change and enhance employee training at Guaranteed Rate for the
mortgage originators. Employee training and continual education is extremely crucial in the
mortgage industry especially for Guaranteed Rate. It is important because it allows all originators
to know all current and changing guidelines for both Federal and State law. It helps them provide
better customer service and it helps them understand the function and role they have with
Guaranteed Rate. Offering continual education is highly important for all loan originators because
they are required to have a minimum of 40 hours of training mandated by state law. Offering
employees continual education and providing support for all new originators would add value to
the firm in many ways.
The two main benefits would be to provide weekly online classes the outlines properly closing
loans, understanding price for the investors that Guaranteed Rate collaborates with as well as
understanding how to calculate their commission caps. This will make for an easy process for
the Secondary team to properly asses their loans, the rate locks as well as approving or fencing
price. The second benefit of weekly employee training will help all originators service the
customers and better,

  • 2. Stereotypes In The Achievement Of Desire By Richard Rodriguez There is this young girl named Katy. She comes from a family with low income, and little to no educational background. She does not like sharing her background with others. When she does, people sigh or seem uninterested and do not want to talk to her. Since she receives negative feedback when sharing things, she decides not to share anything at all. She wants to do things but feels obligated to do the opposite of what she wants to do because it is what is expected of her. She is unhappy doing so, she is not herself. Many people are like Katy. In the sense that they have expectations of others. The way people perceive us make us do or act a certain way. We need to not let what others think or expect of us control us. The negative stereotypes we are associated with can make us not be ourselves and be unhappy, causing us to do things because it is expected of us and sometimes we set these expectations on ourselves.... Classroom Management Strategies For High School Teachers Six Classroom Management Strategies for High School Teachers (Without Good Classroom Management a Teacher Loses Control) One of the biggest keys to being a successful teacher is classroom management. Of course, there are different needs depending on if you teach kindergartners or high school auto shop students, and every teacher has his or her own individual style. A constant through out all classrooms is this, without good classroom management, a teacher loses control. Once you lose control of the classroom the amount of actual teaching and learning diminishes to almost nothing. I am by nature not a strong disciplinarian and like to be relaxed and fun with my class. I will never be known as that mean teacher . I am the teacher students think they can get away with mischief in class, and in my early years, they did get away with a lot. I will never be up to the level of one of my colleagues, who has been teaching high school English for almost 40 years. She is a wonderful woman who can even scare other teachers during staff meetings if they were to talk or fidget. I have however, over the years been able to find ways to combine my somewhat easygoing personality with some constant classroom rules and ideas to maintain a good learning atmosphere. Here is a simple list of six suggestions I think most teachers will agree with and should use. 1) Over plan each day You need to keep students busy working or listening. Smith in his novel, Caribbean Rum: A Social and Economic History, rum is the potable alcoholic beverage obtained by distilling sugarcane juice and the waste products of sugar making (Smith 1). At first, it was thought to be industrial waste; however, quickly after, it became a global phenomenon, which rapidly amped up the economies of several islands. When our client, Mark, came to us to help him decide upon a new vehicle, he had already narrowed down the selection to either a Mitsubishi Pajero or a Toyota Prado, having had experience with each. He had also taken the liberty of creating a list of important observations about himself, in order for us to help him make a quality, informed decision. The criteria are as follows: Mark has a daily commute of 10km on average per day, so the car must have good fuel economy and comfort. Aside from his work commute, he will drive his family members to various activities, so the safety is a priority. Mark has a budget of $70,000 with which to buy the car, so the chosen models must be under $70,000. Now, Jose Saramago being a prominent believer in the ideas of socialism as a whole, it is no surprise that his book Blindness includes many scenes that portray, in favor, the fundamental concepts of socialist beliefs. This includes the variety of the people who were blinded and the cooperation and organization of the main party involved. But, it is interesting to point out that he also includes examples of the beliefs of conservatism but also scenes where he criticizes it. This can be shown in scenes like when the food starts being stolen in quarantine and in the rise in the leadership of the man with the gun. As a previous high school immigrant when I first arrived in United States, I have experience numerous difficulties in school that I would never forget. In addition, I believe immigrant students of secondary school can face major difficulties in learning English and succeeding in school. Since these students do not have a lot of time than elementary students to learn English, and they have to pass several test that require English skill such as the ACT and SAT. Instead of spending countless periods in regular History and Biology classes without understand any materials, why schools do not offer History and Biology classes but just for ESL student, using simple and easier form of English to understand, so immigrant students can actually learn more about the subjects. In the addition, schools should also give an instructional program that give English language learners access to academic concepts and skills. These two areas are a result of increased industrialisation to keep up with the rapid growth in Chinas export. One major external driver is outside influences such as the US, by the demanding lower products and goods, manufacturers are forced to reduce any environmental safeguards that they had in place. An example of this is when a textiles mill in southern China was caught dumping 22,000 tons of contaminated water from its dyeing operation each day turning the whole river dark red. Another driver behind behaviour such as this is the ever growing discount clothing chain stores. Prices on fabric and clothing have fallen by 25% since 1995 and the particular article this was taken from was put together back in 2007. The discount clothing giants have become even more cut throat and competitive over the last few years. This behaviour is what has made China a huge export giant but has cost them so much more. With this combination however there are very specific issues that arise. Gaysain face many challenges and issues in america due to being who they are. In this paper we will look at the history of these challenges and issues and further analyze them from what we learned in class. First off I would like to look at stereotypes which surround gaysians and break them down into their root parts. As with any group of people, gaysians have their own set of stereotypes that are attached to their identity. Such stereotypes include being feminine, submissive, haveing small pinieses and being eternal bottoms. Worst of all there is a common thought that they are always looking for a white man or sugar daddy. I would first like to analyze and break these stereotypes down. Such stereotypes are made worse by problematic media representation of gay males from asian cultural backgrounds . The stereotype of always being feminine goes hand in hand with the demasculinization of all asian men. The demasculinization of asian men actually goes back to racial profiling and ... • 42. Marco Polo In 1298 Marco Polo of Venice was arrested and put in prison in Genoa. Venice and Genoa were involved in a civil war and Polo was charged with serving the Venetian army. He was imprisoned without a trial. Polo offered a unique defense. He argued that he owed no loyalty to Venice since he had been gone for over 20 years. Further, he claimed that those 20 years were spent in China. While in jail he told his story to his cellmate Rusticello who wrote the story in a book called Description of the World and later, The Travels of Marco Polo. Even in his time people doubted the stories in the book. They seemed far too fantastic to the people of Europe. It is important to note, however, that Europe had not yet seen the Renaissance and ... • 43. The, An Insidious Parasitic Disease Schistosomiasis, an insidious parasitic disease, is estimated to affect more than 240 million people worldwide with 700 million people living in at risk areas. (World Health Organization.) The prevalence is highest in the paediatric population as they have high exposure to infective water and low levels of acquired immunity (McGarvey, 2000, p.269) Infection is acquired through contact exposure to cercariae (larval stage of parasitic blood flukes) from activities such as swimming and bathing in infected water. This parasitic disease leads to poor general health, delayed growth and development, decreased cognitive development and reproductive health issues (Terer et al., 2013). Until recently, treatment guidelines have focused on annual school based deworming programs with the anthelminthic drug Praziquantel (PZQ.) In 2010, the World Health Organization (WHO) expanded their treatment guidelines to include preschool aged children (children under the age of five) in their mass drug administration (MDA) campaigns. This change came about from new research exploring misconceptions related to epidemiology and immunology of preschool aged children. Although it was been proven that Praziquantel is safe and effective in this population, preschool aged children still have difficultly accessing appropriate treatment. This essay will discuss the challenges and barriers in resolving this health inequity and in particular, the need for a suitable pediatric Praziquantel formulation. These ... • 44. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, immune mediated disease of the central nervous system (CNS) (Definition of MS). This disease is estimated to affect more than 400,000 people in the United States alone, and about 2.5 million worldwide. In the United States, about 200 new cases of MS are discovered weekly (Pietrangelo, Anne and Higuera, Valencia) . In a healthy person, an insulation covering called myelin, coats the nerve fibers in the CNS (Article from mom). When one develops MS, the communication between their brainand other parts of his/her body is disrupted as an abnormal immune mediated response attacks the myelin coating that encloses nerve fibers in the CNS. • 45. Suspense Episode Of The Supernatural I have not watched the x files before, but from the beginning I realized it s a suspense episode about the supernatural. The episode started with a teenage son arguing with his mother, she didn t want him to go somewhere which made me feel something crazy about to happen. A mystery crime of unusual nature where two FBI special agents Mulder and Scully were in charge of solving it. I got confused because the story involves aliens and unnatural. I am not a person who is into fiction and unnatural. I even thought for a while when they talked about Jerry Springer Show it might be a comedy. I must say it was not like other shows such as, Law and Order where they have a clear plot and the steps of solving a crimeis easily understood. The two FBI ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. Proposal For Employee Training And Support At Guaranteed Rate MEMORANDUM TO:Kasey Marty Executive Vice President of Secondary FROM:Nico Nelson, Secondary Marketing Analyst DATE: July 28, 2015 SUBJECT: Proposal to Enhance Employee Training Support at Guaranteed Rate Attached is my proposal to change and enhance employee training at Guaranteed Rate for the mortgage originators. Employee training and continual education is extremely crucial in the mortgage industry especially for Guaranteed Rate. It is important because it allows all originators to know all current and changing guidelines for both Federal and State law. It helps them provide better customer service and it helps them understand the function and role they have with Guaranteed Rate. Offering continual education is highly important for all loan originators because they are required to have a minimum of 40 hours of training mandated by state law. Offering employees continual education and providing support for all new originators would add value to the firm in many ways. The two main benefits would be to provide weekly online classes the outlines properly closing loans, understanding price for the investors that Guaranteed Rate collaborates with as well as understanding how to calculate their commission caps. This will make for an easy process for the Secondary team to properly asses their loans, the rate locks as well as approving or fencing price.
