Destructiveness of the Slave Trade Olaudah Equiano begins the narrative by describing his
home. He paints for his audience a charming, very fruitful picture of his province Essaka. It was
a place where all the neighborhood children would come together and play whilst their parents
were away laboring in the fields. He recalls being taught by his mother how to defend himself.
They would practice shooting and throwing javelins all the ways of their greatest warriors. It
was to his utter dismay however; that he would never again be able to relive those moments, for

Teaching Style Of The Instructor
Each teacher is different no matter what the course subject is. When I find myself in a new
class with a new professor I seem to notice the little details that make up the teaching style of the
instructor. In total I have four classes all of which are part of Chattahoochee technical College.
Two of those classes take place at the Paulding Campus and the other two take place at the North
Metro campus. I take my American Government class at the North Metro Campus every
Tuesdays and Thursdays. Every Monday and Wednesday I go to the Paulding Campus to take
College Algebra. These two professors differ in more ways than just the subject of their course.
My American government teacher is pretty cool. He has a very fun way of teaching. By
cracking jokes and making cheesy remarks on every chapter, he always succeeds at making his
class an interesting one. Every lecture does not even seem like one. I always look forward to
sitting in the front of his class ready to learn everything. However, my college algebra professor
is, with all due respect, a more old schooled instructor. He does crack a few jokes from time to
time but he s mostly serious. He is very focused because in math one flaw, no matter how small,

Class in the United States What is the American Dream? This question is often asked and
argued, having an unclear definition of what it really means. Many believe that it is a collection
of ideals in which freedom gives anyone the opportunity of having job security, owning a home
an obtaining a great education. While others, believe it is a promise that anyone may rise from
poverty to wealth. The concept of having such high aspirations is often related to class structure
and power. These terms are often linked as two abstract ideas that determine the basic framework
of how we live in the United States. Furthermore, they represent the power to confine people into
a socioeconomic status as Sociologist Karl Marx explains through his conflict perspective theory.
Some believe that class structures are becoming more apparent as economic power continues to
rise and the presence of the recent recession, still remains. This idea has made a clear distinction
among social positions as people are classified into upper, middle and working classes. Although,
some may argue that class structure and power can be modified, the social differences built by the
minority in power still continue to be deeply rooted and cannot be adjusted. Social structure is an
institutional framework created by patterns of social relationships and interactions among people.
These patterns often influence and impact the ways people shape their attitudes and perceptions.

Gender Inequality During Latin American Countries
How has gender inequality affected women in Latin American countries? Gender inequality has
affected the women of Latin America in a multitude of ways, but it can be argued that the division
of gender equality is extremely prominent when analyzing reproductive rights and health care
access. Compared to countries such as Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States, Latin
Americais far behind in terms of civil rights and reproductive rights. The lack of rights is not in
question; women s barrier to reproductive health can be seen through anecdotes and statistics. The
question thus becomes, is there a definite answer to why these rights are absent? Factors
concerning the absence of reproductive rights include cultural norms and religion, but the one
that plays the biggest role remains the lack of female political leaders in Latin American
countries. What exactly is it that is keeping Latin America behind other countries in terms of
being progressive regarding reproductive rights? Women s political absence in Latin America has
shaped reproductive rights and health care services immensely. While Latin America s lack of
reproductive rights would seem to be common knowledge, many are unaware of how exactly
women in Latin American countries are affected. In a fairly large number of countries, abortion is
illegal. In regards to this, in 2008, 12 percent of maternal deaths in Latin America and the
Caribbean were due to unsafe abortions. (Mane, 2013) 95% of the abortions
