Nursing Competency Report
It has been a full week of the project being implemented. The issue that I have notice was the wrong
timing of the competency. It was issued together with many other hospital MCstrategies that made
the nurses overwhelmed. As the Jersey City Medical Center is now part of Barnabas Health a lot of
changes and updates are happening including educating all the staff with the new policies and
procedures, introducing new strategies to improve patient safety and satisfaction, and refreshing
staff s knowledge about skills. I spoke to the participants regarding the status of their competency,
one nursetold me that I will finish it by the set date; I am up to date with my MCstrategies .
Another nurse told me that she was doing the competency according to the due date and so far
there are five more before the Leadership Lessons. Three of the day shift new nurses informed me
that they are doing their re issued MCstrategies first because they already know the answers.
Among six nurses only one night nurse started the lesson as per our last conversation. Checklist

This summer I spent my time on South Street, in a store that has a long history there. I came in as
an intern and left a more experienced photographer. In this reflection essay I will discuss the place
in which I interned, the information I researched about my field and what I ultimately learned by

Philadelphia. This store is related to the famous Magic Gardens, a permanent installation of Isaiah

from the artists they met while they served in the Peace Corps. Now they have expanded to

povertycorridor in which certain counties struggle much more than others long I95. Allendale
County stands out even amongst its peers as a county that is struggling to address multigenerational
poverty. This paper deals with Allendale County poverty after offering insight into poverty in
general within South Carolina.
Persistent Poverty in South Carolina
Poverty within the United States is defined as having an income below a federally determined
poverty threshold. Poverty thresholds were developed by the United States government in the 60s
to benchmark levels of subsistence. Over time these thresholds are often adjusted to account for
inflation; it is now typical for the federal government to adjust the poverty threshold levels
annually. Poverty levels represent the government s estimate of the point below which a family
has insufficient resources to meet their basic needs. Any family with less income than the
established poverty amount is officially classified as poor or as living in poverty. Income as
defined by the federal rules can include cash and cash welfare assistance, but excludes any in kind

No one could argue with the statement that when one pays money for something, they expect to
get both what is advertised and also to get their money s worth out of their purchase. It seems,
however, in today s digital media industry, companies are finding ways to get more of people s
money and give them less for it. This sort of, in essence, thievery has become more and more
prevalent in today s media. One of the biggest issues is what is called Digital Rights Management,
or DRM. DRM has been implemented by many, many digital based companies to protect their
products, and on a small scale, are effective and a good way for a company to ensure their
software is protected in one manner or another. The problem comes in when companies get too
overzealous in their attempts to protect their goods to the point where it becomes inconvenient
and downright annoying to those who actually buy their products. Another major issue in
contemporary media is the swaying of reviews. There are a growing number of instances in
which companies who produce either television shows, movies, books, or videogames will pay
well respected reviewers and critics to spin their reviews to be positive, even if the reviewer does
not believe that to be the case, though perhaps the most common instances of this sort are those
