Hormones Involved In The Endocrine System
The endocrine system is the body system that deals with hormones and controls the body s daily
activities by producing specific chemicals. The endocrine system is also in charge of making sure
that the body s functions are coordinated and working properly. An example of this would be
having the same body temperature at all times and falling asleep and waking up. Hormones play a
major part in the endocrine system. Hormones are the chemical product of an endocrine gland.
There are different hormones that have different jobs. Certain hormones can turn on, turn off, speed
up, or slow down the activities that different organs and tissues take part in. Other hormones can
regulate metabolism, growth, mood, and organ function. All of the organs involved in this body
system work together but are located in different... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The major organs involved in the endocrine system are glands. A gland is an organ that can
produce as well as release chemicals. With this body system, endocrine glands make and distribute
the chemicals into the bloodstream. There are multiple types of glands that have specific jobs
involving the endocrine system. These endocrine glands are: the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid,
parathyroid, adrenal, thymus, pancreas, and finally ovaries in females and testes in males. Together,
these glands make up more than 30 types of hormones. Each gland has its own job in the body. The
hypothalamus, located in the brain, links the nervous system and the endocrine system. It also
controls the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is also located in the brain and it receives
information from the hypothalamus about the body. This gland controls other endocrine glands and
regulates growth, blood pressure, and water balance. The thyroid gland controls the release of
energy from food molecules inside cells. The parathyroid controls and regulates the amount of
calcium in the blood. The adrenal gland

Ethics in action
In the movie, On The WaterFront , I would apply the theory of virtue ethics to the problem that
Terry faced in corrupt union. According to virtue ethics, we know what is morally correct because
it is what the virtuous person or one who has good characters would do (module 7). Virtue ethics is
different than the theory of utilitarianism and deontologism. The action isn t judged by its outcome
or rule but by a person who acts. Virtue ethics looks deeply into a person s soul. It looks for a
person s good characteristics. It claims that no matter what you do as long as your are a virtuous
person, your action is morally correct. For instance, a honest person is put into a situation where
he has to choose either to tell his Mom about his Dad s affair or not to. He loves both of his
parents. He knows his Mom would leave the house if she knew the truth. He nevers wants them
to be separated. His Dad will be in big trouble if his secret gets revealed. But, it wouldn t be fair
for Mom staying home and cooking for the family while Dad is happy with another woman.
Also, he never hides things from his parents before. Therefore, he decides to tell his Mom the
truth despite of the fear of separation and Dad being mad at him. We are not born with innate
good character traits. We develop good potential from time to time as we grow. In order to develop
virtues, we have to keep practicing them until they become a habit.

The Basics Behind Qualitative Research
Fundamentals of Qualitative Research

Dr. Curtis Maybee

Fundamentals of Qualitative Research When a researcher sets out to begin a study, he or she must
begin by asking questions of him or herself. These questions lead to the determination of the type
of research study the researcher is going to conduct. The study may be based on qualitative research
, quantitative research, or both. But, in order to determine the study method and design choice, the
researcher needs to see what is fueling his or her research question. Research questions based on
quantitative research focuses on obtaining data that can be measured, usually in some form or
numerical/statistical manner (Leedy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Leedy amp; Ormrod, 2010, there are three major sources of data for qualitative
studies interviews, observations, and documents (p. 23). If is up to the researcher to determine
what process of research is best for the study he or she is conducting. There are times when only
one method is used, but then there are times when more than one method is used. However, the
researcher may identify his or her primary method (Rubin, 2007). It is also possible to utilize the
internet and worldwide web to collect information for the study also. After the data is collected,
the researcher must be able to analyze the data. The truth is the data analysis is usually
simultaneous with the data collection stage (Rubin, 2007). From the time the first interview takes
place or observation begins, the researcher should already be analyzing what he or she has
learned. By doing so, the researcher can eliminate the possibility of being overwhelmed with
information at the conclusion of the data collection process. While analyzing, the information
collected, the researcher can break up what he or she learns into categories (Leedy amp; Ormrod,
2010). The use of these categories will help identify any patterns of behavior or occurrence that
may exist.

Animals In The Enigma Of Animal Suffering
In The Enigma of Animal Suffering, the author implies that animals may not be so different from
human beings in regards to feeing love and pain. The author mainly focuses on talking about
farm animals since those are the type that are mainly consumed. He uses analogies by comparing
animals to some delicate situations people actually experienced. For example, he compared cows
being inseminated to a person being sexually assaulted. These analogies are difficult to think
about in a different perspective, but it definitely makes you think. He highlights th way these farm
animals are treated before they are slaughtered and defends the fact that they have feelings as
well. Because some of us do not see them as our own or the way our priorities are when it comes
up tp the business industry, we ignore everything else. The way we treat animals in general not just

Although, at times I would disagree with some of the ethical theories it includes, it definitely
strengthened my ability to think about any issue. It is easier for me to be more considerate of
others opinions regardless of what type of ethical theory they identified themselves with.
Sometimes we don t know if we are making the right decision about something or don t know
what we are supposed to follow, but when we identify with one of the theories, it is much easier
to understand. I think that na explanation of all the theories when mentioned in class really
helped me comprehend more. I would usually never let anyones opinions change my own. Now, I
feel like I actually think about issues in a deeper manner than before and at times I have changed
my view of things. The group discussions really helped me understand more even though I did not

Hector And Jason
In Home rs eipic The Illiad , The charcters Achilles, Hector, Medea, and Jason all had some great
characteristics and also had not so great characteristics that eventually led to each of their down
falls. Hector is the great warrior of the Trojan army, he fights with might and vigor, but often lets
his impulsive behavior get in the way of good decision making. Achillesis the leader of the Achean
army, he has glimpse of greatness but often lets his anger get in the way of decisions. Medeais the
princess of Colchis, she uses revenge and her cleverness in order to get things she wants. Jasonis
from Iolcus, his poor decision making could most likely give him the role of a villian. Jason is a
weak man and only does things to further himself in life. Although these characters all have good
qualites about them, the flaws are what lead them to their downfalls.
Hector was the great warrior of the Trojan army. He lead the Trojan army into to battle with the
Achean army. His level of pride was very high after setting fire to the Archean ship, and killing
Patroclus. After this battle his confidence was tremendously boosted, which caused a problem later

marrying her will get him further in in life. He really is using her to make himself better and that
is weak. If he would have never left Medea, she would have never killed his new wife or their
own children. Jason really only thought about himself and what he thought would better him. His

Comparing Crime And Punishment By Albert Camus
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky and The Stranger by Albert Camus both explore
changes in a man as he goes through stages of his life, including committing a crime. These authors
explore what defines a man; the crimes he commits and the punishments that result take their toll on
him. What determines their decency? Dostoevsky and Camus pour their own histories into their
work to examine the souls of mankind, and find that love is the deciding factor in a man s
morality and gives him his source of life.
In Crime and Punishment, Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov is the protagonist. He believes there
are only two types of people in the world: Napoleon type people and the ordinary. The Napoleon
people are the extraordinary. These people, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dostoevsky himself spent time in prison when the Russian government began to suspect him of

He wasn t yet married, but would soon begin a relationship, just like Raskolnikov when he

and wait to be married. This finally adds meaning in Raskolnikov s life. ...for her there was no
longer any doubt that he loved her, loved her infinitely...there already shone the dawn of a
renewed future, of complete resurrection into a new life. They were resurrected by love; the
heart of each held infinite sources of life for the heart of the other. (Dostoevsky 549). Before,
Raskolnikov was saying Pah, how paltry it all is! (Dostoevsky 10), but then he was risen and he
knew it (Dostoevsky 550). Dostoevsky, since he spent time in prison, would not believe that all
criminals are damned. He would think that everyone deserved a second chance, despite his or her

life. He no longer thought about killing himself, rather he was rejuvenated in the fact that he was

Layoff Simulation
Background:
In this simulation exercise I will be discussing about the companies starting layoffs. The situation
below will be highlighting the perspective of employees who are working in an environment
where people are being focused to leave their jobs for company s benefit. Company s inability to
afford the employees, start of new venture or change in management can be the reason behind layoff

Scenario:
The scenario of this simulation concentrates on the employees who are stressed working in an
environment where other employees are being discharged. This is not an easy situation for other
employees being aware that they might be the next victim. There are employees who have worked

In the 2000 film, Cast Away starring Tom Hanks as Chuck Noland, as a FedEx systems engineer
whose ruled by the clock existence abruptly ends when a harrowing plane crash leaves him isolated
on a remote island (Washington Post, 2000). Through analysis of this film, we explore how Chucks

remote island where he discovers his own personal journey has merely and only just begun. By

Another major element of symbolism is the volley ball with the name brand Wilson on it now
becomes his imaginary friend. This helps him to maintain his sanity by giving him some form of
communication that he can have someone to talk to. This is the concept or idea that helps him
survive through these catastrophic times. Additionally, the volley ball could be somewhat as a
visual metaphor that helps the audience better relate to and understand the need for communication
as a method for sanity and survival as well.
On another note, satire is not really used in this film to show the ridiculousness of this dramatized
film. There may be just some minor satire with the communication he has with this volley ball
which he gives him the name Wilson, when Chuck gets frustrated and yells at the ball. Other than
this, no other satire is noticed.
Irony being another literary element of storytelling is used in the film Cast Awayand the element of
situational irony is applied here. According to our text, Film: From Watching to Seeing, authors
Goodykoontz, B., amp; Jacobs, C. P. (2011) states, situational irony occurs when we expect one
thing to happen and something else does (p. 2.4). An example of this occurs in the scene; Welcome

Chuck finds out in this scene that she has married another, whom had been Chuck Noland s old

Revenge In Much Ado About Nothing
Revenge is an act of retaliation at someone who wronged you. In the comedy of Much Ado
About Nothing, by William Shakespeare, the theme of revenge plays a role. Revenge plays a
part in our lives just as it does with the characters in Much Ado About Nothing. Growing up with
a younger sister of similar age, we often fought (we still do). It is now all a big blur on why we
fought, but I can still remember the act of revenge that we took on one another. I remember that it
was around lunch time when we were still around the ages of 8 and 9 and we fought about
something I cannot recall now. I was very mad at my sister and decided that I would take matters
into my own hands. It was around lunch time and we were going out to get something to eat.

Persuasive Essay: Layoffs within a Company
The decision to lay off employees cannot be the easiest for companies. There is a variety of
different reasons why employers layoff their employees, and the laws in many states allow them
to at any time as long as the reason does not contravene state or federal law. Being let go from your
job can happen by firing or layoff, and though neither is, usually, desired, the layoff is typically the
method that carries less of a stigma. Firing occurs with one worker for any reason that, usually,
involves job performance, unethical behavior or personality differences. Meanwhile, a layoff, ...

The more you can provide them with the peace of mind that comes with knowing what is going
on, the more there will be in the office. Involve employees in brainstorming for solutions. Even if
layoffs are inevitable, there will be a ripple effect through the office, including the possibility of
an increased workload for many individuals. Get the employee s input on this process and allow
them to have a say in how those new responsibilities are addressed. The more you make them feel
they have a voice, the more loyal they will be through difficult times (Zatzick, Zhoa, amp; Tingling,
2014).
In an article Layoff: A Four Letter Word in the Economy Martin (1998 2014) states that, It has
been difficult in recent years to find good people. However, sometimes it is better to have a
position vacant than to hire poorly especially in management. One bad manager can take down
tens to thousands with them (Martin, 1998 2014, para.10). Maintain a flexible workforce, hire
contractors for short term needs, and hire temporary or seasonal help for short term work. Hire
part timers who are willing to work only during the peak periods of need. Offer job sharing
options to current employees (para11). Create a contingency plan. It is better to have well thought
out and developed plan over a quickly devised scheme. It is also much better off to have a plan to
review if something bad happens than to have to invent something in the heat of a crisis (Martin,
1998 2014, para.11).

The role of guilds in Medieval Europe played a pivotal part in helping to form part of the
economic and social fabric in the middle ages. The guilds not only created a standard for

order. These organizations performed a number of important services for the people of their town
which created a sense of unity and together ness. Consumers and members of the guild would also

Learning Of Sound Waves Can Benefit From Outside...
Abstract
Under study learning of sound waves can benefit from outside assistance through the making of
gathering learning classroom materials whose advancement and outline depend on unequivocal
examinations concerning understudy understanding. We portray thinking as far as sets of assets,
i.e. assembled building squares of feeling that are normally utilized as a part of a wide range of
settings. Understudies in our college material science classes frequently utilized arrangements of
assets that were not quite the same as the ones we wish them to utilize. By planning educational
modules materials that get some information about the physical science from an alternate
perspective, we realize change in understudy comprehension of sound waves. Our educational
programs alterations are particular to our own classes; however our portrayal of understudy learning
is all the more for the most part helpful for educators. We portray how understudies can utilize
different arrangements of assets in their reasoning, and bring up issues that ought to be considered
by both educators and analysts.

was upset with the British ruling India and how they treated thousands of Indians so harshly. Both
Sun Yat sen and Yuan Shikai held political power and had their own idea of running China. Similar
to Gandhi, Sun Yat sen and Yuan Shikai
had their own beliefs in how Chinashould be ruled in order
to maximize both its economic and educational wealth. Sun Yat sen was born on November 12,
1866 in Zhongshan. He was born into a poor family of farmers and had many siblings. In 1879,
one of his brothers took him to Honolulu where he attended schools and encountered western
influences for the first time. He then left for Hong Kong and his parents arranged his marriage to a
girl. He then went to Hawaii to Guangzhou Hospital Medical School, eventually transferring to
another medical college in Hong Kong (Trueman 2015). Sun had an ambitious personality and was
upset with the traditional values China and the Qing Dynastyhad. He wrote a letter to Li
Hongzhang, a governor general, discussing his ideas of how to improve China but Li simply
responded with improving the agricultural business (this was not what Sun had envisioned). In
1894, Sun travelled once again to Hawaii and established the Revive China Society, a secret
revolutionary group. Many peasants, artisans, and those of the lower classes made up this group.
Sun came back to Hong Kong in 1895 in order to plot a riot in Guangzhou;

Introduction
Tom Davison, the company s new president and CEO, recognized that although the prototype had
served its basic purposes proving the concept was technically viable and that surgeons were eager
to use such an instrument for minimally invasive surgery the prototype design was too costly for a
commercially successful product in an era of managed care and other initiatives aimed at
controlling health care costs. Because of limited cash and external resources and the need to enter
the market as soon as possible with a viable product, Endius outsourced product development to
Product Genesis, a product design consultancy. Now, Davison has to establish a target costto ensure
that the final product will achieve the market acceptance necessary to not only provide needed cash

The City State Of Zamon Dor
Set into the towering side of Mt.Momentum, the city state of Zamon Dor dwarfed the surrounding
duchies and townships. Zamon Dor was the land of inventions and innovations; there was nothing
its tinkerers could not think up, nothing its architects could not build. Clockwork and its
mechanisms made the city what it was; they offered all sorts of comforts that other nations could
only dream of. The city itself was alive with the hustle and bustle of daily life: men could be
heard talking, women laughing, and children playing, all set to the sound of a soft mechanical
whirring as Zamon Dors inventions were alive in all aspects of life. People wore artisanal watches,
others rode on clockwork bicycles, and the city gleamed and sparkled during... Show more content

The garden was small, but this is where the timewalker spent most of her life.
The lush green of the palace gardens offered a much needed juxtaposition against the sea of
machines outside of the garden walls. There were no birds or insects to be seen, as neither
existed in Zamon Dor, and so there was only the sound of the wind as it rustled the leaves of the
great tree in the middle of the garden. This was where Kali, the palace timewalker, came every
day from mid morning to just before dusk. Kali was the definition of serenity, her appearance was
that of an older child, aged anywhere between thirteen to sixteen. Her skin was fair, with jet black
hair and steely eyes that could pierce through even the toughest of men.
Sir Kairos, a member of the consulship and Kali s overseer, was a short, stout man who was half
bald. Despite his aged appearance, he had a silver tongue, with honeyed words dripping with
power. He was one of the few who was given his position, rather than being born into it.
Kali, oh Kali dearest, Kairos said in a singsong voice, poking his head through the garden gate and
cutting the silence, I need to see you, very important business. Orders from the Chief Magistrate
himself! And you know how he gets when he s kept waiting. With that, Kairos departed, surely to
attend to the very important matter of deciding what outfit would best please the Chief Magistrate.

The War Of France And Louis Xiv
The wars in France were one of the main causes to which economic distress arose. France did not
just simply acquire a substantial debt suddenly which led to economic distress but gradually
over time the financial situation in France worsened due to events such as the Seven Years War
1756 1763, American Revolution 1775 1783 and The Nine Years War (1688 1697) which would
lead to long term negative financial implications for France. Louis XIV had extended France s
power into Central Europe and North America. This power came about through wars which
landed France with a self inflicted debt which would cripple its economy. When Louis XIV died
in 1715 the state of the economy was dire and the subsequent fiscal decisions by Louis XV and
Louis XVI aggravated the situation. France was in a constant state of war and debt and the
immunity of taxes on the nobility and clergy deprived France of funds that it so desperately
needed. France s status as superpower was at threat as Russia, Prussia and above all Great
Britain where becoming increasingly powerful, Frances strong desire to retain this power
explains the ill advised and catastrophic foreign policies it had adopted. In the American war of
independence in 1775 to 1783 France directed its forces to assist the Americans. French aid was
pivotal in compelling the British to surrender at Yorktown in 1781. However although the
Americans gained much from France s support it led to no successful tangible results for France but

Billy Wilder Research Paper
Billy Wilder (1906 2002), Austrian born American filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, artist and
journalist, was one of those remarkable and highly talented directors that could create dramas and
comedies with ease, influential and versatile with a career spanning fifty years, Wilder left an
indelible mark during Hollywood s Golden Era of filmmaking. With The Apartment, Wilder
became the first person to win Academy Awards as producer, director and screenwriter for the same

comfortable with cynical humor matched with witty dialogue, that made him perfect for creating
satirical films based on the absurd, and easily blended these with his approach on film noirs. Wilder

Defining Meteorology
Hannah Flanery
ATM SCI 100
Final Project
Spring 2016
1) Defining Climate, Weather, and Meteorology.
The field of meteorology is a science that incorporates distinctive terminology. Unfortunately, some
of these terms meanings have a tendency to be portrayed inaccurately. It could be argued that the
most familiar concepts falsely defined would be the meteorology terms weather and climate. It is
important to provide a distinction between weather, climate, and the field of meteorology.
When discussing atmospheric conditions over a long period of time (e.g. for several years) at a
particular surface area, the climate is being analysed. It is distinct from weather in that climate
focuses on a longer period of time over a specific area while ... Show more content on

Updrafts in a single cell thunderstorm produce precipitation. Surrounding conditions cause this
precipitation to become too heavy for a cloud to carry. The precipitation falls from the cloud which
drops the air temperature and forms a downdraft. The evaporation by this precipitation produces a
cooling effect that infiltrates the updraft when the downdraft and updraft finally interact. With help
from the coolness produced by evaporation, the updraft is eradicated by the downdraft. Ordinary
single cell thunderstorms live a short cycle because of the short time it takes for the updraft and
downdraft to interact. This short cycle also functions to prohibit the growth of severe

Explain Why Cell Biology Embodies All The Principles Of Life
1.Cell biology embodies all the principles of life
2. Cells are small because they are limited by the surface area to volume ratio. The volume of the
cell allows for the total number of chemical activity it carries out during an amount of time. The
surface area of a cell determines the number of substances that go into the cell from the outside of
the cell. It is also determined by the number of waste products that are able to go to the
environment. The cell must be a certain volume in order to allow for a big enough surface area to
volume ratio which lets substances in and out of the cell as well as allowing chemical reactions to
occur.
3.The plasma membrane is important to cells because it is a selectively permeable barrier which

Strawson And Jean Donnellan Summary
Donnellan, in Reference and Definite Description, outlines two uses of definite descriptions. He
argues that definite descriptions can either have an attributive or a referential use. While theories
outlined by Strawson and Russell account for a single use, Donnellan advocates for both. To
explain both the attributive and referential uses, I will review two examples. The first example, put
forth by Donnellan, is for the statement Smith s murderer is insane. There are two ways of
interpreting this statement, based on whether the definite descriptionattributes or refers. In one
situation, the audience does not know who murdered Smith. If this is the case, then the speaker
does not pick someone out. Instead, the speaker s statement uses the definite description
attributively. Here, the definite description itself is what is most significant. Meanwhile, if
someone, whom we will call Jones, has been accused of the murder, the use changes. When the
speaker now makes the statement, the audience picks out Jones as the referent. The definite
description has a referential use. It acts as a tool for picking out a particular one or thing.... Show

Therefore, when we say, Smith s murderer is insane, the implication is not true. The
consequences of this differ based on which use of description the speaker is employing. Under an
attributive usage, there would be no person who we can truly attribute insanity to. Meanwhile,
with a referential usage, the speaker could still successfully refer to Jones. However, the
description, insane murderer would no longer fit Jones. The act of picking out is the key function
for a referential use of a description. Even if the description is wrong, reference is still

Bible
One area in the bible which I have a problem understanding is the story in
the beginning of Job. In this book, God talks to Satan and brags about His
servant Job. He then goes on to bet with Satan, that whatever Job does, he
will not renounce his faith in God. There are a couple of reasons this
strikes me as odd. First of all, why would God, who is all knowing want to
have anything to do with making deals with Satan? Secondly, why would Satan
be interested in making deals with God, if he knows God already has the
future planned out? Lastly, why would God put unnecessary affliction on His
best man if it were only to prove a point to Satan?
Maybe one of the reasons God would take a bet on by Satan in the ... Show more content on

There is no other apparent
justification for what God put on Job. Maybe something has to happen to one
person, to be able to save a thousand.
The other side of the story is seen on the part of the Satan, who unwisely,
decided to challenge God to a contest, which you think he would know he was
unable to win. So why would Satan waste his time making a bet that he knew
he would lose? The only reason I can see is that he truly thought Job would
fall under the circumstances. This exchange between Satan and God seems
like a no win situation. God, on one hand would never have made a bet,
which would result in Him, appearing weaker or him losing. But, Satan was
stupid enough to make a bet with God, which he surely knew wasn t going to
result in a victory.
The last question I presented was, why God would put unnecessary affliction
on his most honorable and blameless man? This part of the story is what I
think of as the most important. Job, just because he was righteous, thought
that he didn t deserve to have anything bad happen to him. God made a point
in the story when he chose Job as the object of His bet. Not only did God
prove something to Satan, but to Job as well. I think Job put it best when
he said With nothing from the ground I came, and with nothing I shall
return.
In conclusion, I think it important to acknowledge how strong Job

Free Time For Students In High School And College
Over half of the students in the United States struggle with grades, thus resulting in an unhappy
experience in high school and college. Patience, effort, and preparation for needs are an essential
key to knowledge and success. Before such steps can be followed, a student must set self goals of
what they desire to achieve in school over a period of time. Not all students are born naturally
gifted with intelligence in this universe, but following the most helpful directions in life will in no
doubt assist any lost student in achieving his or her self desire. The negligence of studying and
completing homeworkis the first and main reason why students continue to struggle with their
grades and life in general. Free time between classes and after school should contribute towards
studying and homework instead of time to associate with friends and/or a significant other. Of
course, students do not have to shelter themselves away from what makes them most happy,
however, free time should be divided up so that a proper amount is spent preparing for tests or
finishing assignments. Just one to two hours a day spent studying can boost a grade from a seventy
percent to a ninety percent, and this will significantly relieve stress and boost confidence.
Not only do some students need to divide up time between a social life and school work, but they
also desire to divide it up between extracurricular activities and/or a job. Most people want to
experience a little bit of everything

and recommend new policies for environmental protection to the president. One of the influences

This is because changes are more likely to be enforced more through associations that are
government regulation. Since the government has the authority to create and pass acts and laws,
there is a higher probability that change will occur. If private organizations or volunteers attempted
to enforce positive environmental changes, it would not be as effective since they do not hold as
much authority as the government. As of result, not as many people would follow the regulations
set by the organizations. It would also take much longer for change to occur if the EPA did not
oversee these additional environmental parameters. Since less people would follow the rules set by
the organizations, it would take longer than if the government enforced and oversaw these
additional regulations. Therefore, it would be more beneficial for the environment if the EPA

Throughout this course so far we have learned of the struggles of man, from slavery and
reconstruction, war, to industrialization and the Great Depression. These were hard times in
America and frankly I m glad I do not have to live through it. From the film Modern Times by
Charlie Chaplin we get an inside look at how one felt and experienced during the 1930 s. I clearly
feel this movie captured the essence of what today people think about today of the 1930 s,
Industrialization and the Great Depression. It is at this time that the hard working class citizen is
highlighted. Let s begin with a brief summary of the film. The film follows a young man who is

The part where the government is taking them away and the screen flashes the saying The law
takes charge of the orphans . This flat out shows how the government feels they own a person
and what happens with them until the government sees fit. Which is also what happens today
with minors, it is understandable but nevertheless it is the government having full control over
what happens to an individual person. Which results in the eldest daughter running away before
they can take her away but ends up catching up to her in the end of the film. The economics is
absolutely terrible during the Great Depression. People are starving in the street every day. The
basic survival needs of life are stripped from many people such as, work, food, and shelter. In the

Case Study on Nurse and Client Relationships
Care provided by a nurse is not limited to physical care. Instead, a therapeutic nurse client
relationship extends beyond physical needs ensuring that a client s psychological and emotional
needs are being met as well (National Council, 2013). In developing a relationship with a newly
pregnant client, it is essential to understand common responses to pregnancy. Newly pregnant
clients are often in a state of shock or disbelief, and any ambivalence detected by a nurse could
simply be the result of the pregnancy not yet being acknowledged as real by the client
(Lowdermilk Perry, 2010). This is especially likely of an unplanned pregnancy in which there are
few signs and symptoms. In developing a relationship with a client, a nurse must being willing to
fully give of his or her self, identifying, empathizing, and addressing specific needs, and providing
truthful and unbiased answers to questions (National Council, 2013).
In this case, a caring nurse must recognize that the client is not exhibiting eagerness for the
pregnancy and respond accordingly. Rather than displaying the enthusiasm that a nurse may show
with other clients, the nurse should maintain professionalism with the client and listen to her
concerns and address each of them (Lowdermilk Perry, 2010). Developing a trusting relationship
with the client fosters an environment in which the client feels comfortable in discussing her health
related issues. This client is experiencing tender breasts and nausea.

Disadvantages Of Masticating Juicers
Masticating juicers are good for juicing vegetables because their masticating action is efficient at
breaking down the vegetable cell walls which tend to be tougher than their fruit counterparts.
Masticating juicers are very capable at juicing most fruits and vegetables, and they will also extract
juice from wheatgrass, spinach, and other leafy greens and herbs.
Juicer
Juicers help you to get a sufficient intake of nutrients and vitamins from both fruits and vegetables

Masticating juicer doesn t use blades and doesn t need high speed to extract juice from the fruits
and vegetables. Masticating juicers are also more versatile than centrifugal juicers because, in
addition to extracting juices, these juicers also homogenize foods to make baby foods, pates,
sauces, nut butters, banana ice creams and fruit sorbets. Masticating juicers are better at
preserving nutrients as they turn slowly and squash the juice out of your fresh produce, this is
what we recommend as it s better for you, but bear in mind the juice will be live ie somewhat
bitty, so your kids may not dig it. Masticating juicers work at lower speeds and are therefore
more adept at juicing a wider range of fruit and vegetables than centrifugal juicers. Masticating
juicers work well for all fruits and vegetables, including wheatgrass and leafy greens. Masticating
juicers are less common, tend to be more expensive, better made and last a lot longer.
Vegetables
Vegetables on the other hand have fibrous, tough cell walls, requiring more aggressive mechanical
juicing action than fruit. Masticating juicers are good for juicing vegetables because their
masticating action is efficient at breaking down the vegetable cell walls which tend to be tougher
than their fruit counterparts.

Google And Bing s Search Tools
Title of Your Report

After analyzing both Google and Bing s search tools, I ve come to the conclusion that Google just
has more to offer. The tool that stands out the most and gave the best results was the Verbatim
option under All results . When using it, Google will only display results specific to the user s
search term or phrase. For example, when I search Gerrymandering , no results containing
synonyms, similar terms, previously used websites, or words from the same stem will appear in my
results. When searching for a phrase such as Gerrymandering in Maryland , the verbatim tool will
only show the user results with that exact phrase. No results containing those words separated
should appear. Another great search tool Google has to offer is the Advanced search , found in
the upper right hand corner under the options button. This tool offers the user many ways to
narrow down their search to find the the exact result their looking for. Some Advanced search
allows users to search by language, region, last updated, file type, usage rights, site or domain

Analysis Of Three Fundamental Assumptions Are Made
Throughout this policy paper, three fundamental assumptions are made:
1.The Murdell Flemming Model is a fundamentally sound method of analysis.
2.A global trend toward liberalization of free trade is both strictly current and strictly relevant to
Chinese economic growth.
3.The power dynamic between host country, home country, and Multinational Corporationis a
driving factor in cross regional mergers and acquisitions and thereby domestic economic growth as
measured by nominal gross domestic product.
The Murdell Flemming Trilemma or Unholy Trinity states that a government can only generate
policy that satisfies two of three general desires; these desires are exchange rate stability, capital
mobility, and domestic monetary autonomy (Cohen, 2010). Concerning the China, the general
international monetary choices should be capital mobility and domestic monetary autonomy. In an
era where multinational corporations are increasingly looking to cross regional mergers and
acquisitions to create value, it is more important than ever for China to retain capital mobility and
domestic monetary autonomy (Cross Regional, 2015). Through an examination of multinational
corporations and domestic monetary policy choices, the need for capital mobility and domestic
monetary autonomy become clear. This need is proven through the effects these policy choices
have on domestic monetary value and the subsequent consequences these effects have on cross
regional mergers and acquisitions. The

Definition Essay On Open Relationships
Have you found yourself asking, What is an open relationship or Are we in an open relationship? If
so, hopefully it isn t because you agreed to such a relationship without understanding what it really
means.
If you and your partner want to have a successful relationship (open or not), it s absolutely critical to
have clarity on your expectations of each other. This is rarely more important than when
committing to a non traditional arrangement.
Okay... back to the question. What exactly does it mean to have a relationship that s open? The
complicated thing is that the term has different meanings to different people, so take a look at some
of these categories and come to a finite agreement with your partner on some open relationship
rules. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A relationship like this may or may not include full disclosure. In some cases, the faithful partner
accepts that there will be outside relationships but doesn t want to discuss it at all.
Swinging
One of the more controversial types of open relationships is the swinger lifestyle. In an open
relationship that includes couples dating others, there is often a focus on togetherness in the affairs.
In some cases, the couple dates other couples; however, there are many cases where the couple
adds a single third party to the relationship. The primary relationship comes first, but both partners
are open to fully disclosed outside relationships. When this is strictly sexual, a third (or fourth or

Frannie s Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Analysis
A thorough analysis of Frannie s indications presents that she is displaying symptoms of
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a condition in which an
individual has reoccurring, obsessions and compulsions (The National Institute of Mental Health,
2017). The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders has recently been updated to
group together Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and trichotillomania
together and redefined the diagnoses of excoriating disorder and hoarding disorder. This new
grouping is intended to help with the proper diagnosis and treatments of these conditions. (Gluck,
2017b) The symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder include the intrusive and obsessive
thoughts. These thoughts can be displayed in a variety of things (Gluck, 2017a). For Frannie, this
is prevalent in her fear of dirt and germs, and her preoccupation with neatness. It is also apparent
in her fear of embarrassing herself and her family ( The Case of Frannie n.d). The symptom of
repetitive rituals such as checking locks, excessive cleaning, also indicates obsessive compulsive
disorder being Frannie s condition. The fact that these thoughts and behaviors consume a... Show

Exposure and response prevention will allow Frannie to be exposed to situations that provoke her
anxiety and compulsive behavior as well as her rituals Gorrindo Parekh, 2017). This form of
therapy allows for her to learn how to stop her rituals, and decrease her anxiety ( Gorrindo
Parekh, 2017). This therapy method will provide benefits to Frannie because it is one that can be
easily recreated. During her sessions, she will, with her therapist, develop guidelines to follow to
prevent her typical responses to the given exposures (Gorrindo Parekh, 2017). Introducing Frannie
to techniques such as yoga, massages, and meditation may also assist in easing her stress and
anxiety. (Gorrindo Parekh

In Act 3, Scene 1 of Shakespeare s Measure for Measure Isabella has just been to see Angelo
about pardoning her brother Claudio, who has been arrested for fornication, and Angelo says he
will only pardon Claudio if Isabella, who is a nun, sleeps with him. Isabella has gone to the
prison to see Claudio in Act 3, Scene 1 to tell him that she cannot sleep with Angelo because it is
better if Claudio dies for his sins than Isabella be eternally damned. Isabella lets Claudio know
that she isn t prepared to give in to Angelo and tells him that he should be prepared for death. This
scene is the first time Claudio and Isabella have interacted and it appears to the audience that
Isabella takes the moral high ground when she says Lest thou a feverous

Essay about Amazing Grace
Amazing Grace is not a good movie, it is a great movie. Films on History can be lengthy and
tedious, but that sure is not the case in this fascinating movie about the famous abolitionist William
Wilberforce, who was responsible for steering anti slave trade legislation through the British
parliament. Contrary to what its title suggests, Amazing Grace isn t really about the inauguration of
the Christian hymn. Set in the 18th century England, it focuses on William s political career to
abolish the slave trade by arguing against it on the floor of the House of Commons, which placed
him at odds with some of the most powerful men of the time. William is a motivated man with one
purpose; endeavoring to terminate slaveryin the empire.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At this point, he is debating whether he should go into the ministry and abandon a political
career altogether. His friend William Pitt tries to convince him not to, and tells Wilberforce of
his magnificent plan to become prime minister and that he wants Wilberforce there with him.
Pitt, still trying to convince Wilberforce to stay in Parliament brings a group of people over to
Wilberforce s house for dinner. While eating, one of the men places a set of chains on the table
and begins to explain how slaves are transported in ships. A former slave, Oloudah Equiano,
explains the process and shows Wilberforce the branding mark on his chest he got when he was
sold. They tell Wilberforce that they need someone to help them to oppose the trade.
John Newton, an elderly priest, served as captain of a slave ship who realized what he was doing
was wrong. He then wrote a song to God to free him from the sin of his wrong doing in his
correlation with the slave trade; this song was called Amazing Grace. Newton acts as indefinite
motivation for Wilberforce to continue his anti slave movement.
Parliament becomes impossible to persuade. There are so many excuses set fourth by the
Parliament explaining what effects the lack of trade will cause to the people of the city, as well as
many industries. Even with the research Wilberforce gathers and presents to the Parliament,
including an autobiography written by his friend/former slave Equiano, but still not one thing
happens.

Ebay Is An American Transnational Corporation
EBay is an American transnational corporation that utilizes an online interface to transmit its
business globally. To become a transnational corporation your business must facilitate its operations
in more than one country. EBay hosts an online marketplace where consumers and merchants can
trade new and used goods for discounted prices. EBayhas made it easier to shop from other
countries through the process of deterritorialization. The website is also a good example of
globalizing culture; which will be discussed later in the paper. EBay has not only transformed the
online marketplace, but has been especially successful doing so. In an interview conducted with
Entrepreneur.com, a former Fortune 500 company IT consultant stated that, EBay became a $10
billion company selling something used cheaper than new, (Girard, 2011.) This emphasizes how
successful this business has become and what the future may hold for EBay as well as companies
alike.
EBay hosts an online marketplace where consumers and merchants can come together to trade
goods in a variety of ways. One way this can occur is through Auction type listings. This process

person to bid the highest wins at the end of the allotted time. There is also a buy it now option

Fear In Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo (2003) is a very touching animated film about a father s journey to find his son.
Marlin, the father, is known as overprotective and wary of all dangers of the sea. Nemo is his
only son, and after a near death experience, Marlin spends his days mostly confined to his sea
anemone home avoiding all possible dangers of the world. Nemo is a very curious and sheltered fish
who wants to experience the world. When this curiosity gets him kidnapped by a sea diver, Marlin
s worst fear is now his reality. Finding Nemois a heartwarming tale with a strong theme of facing
and conquering your fears. The first scene in Finding Nemo, the audience sees Marlin and his
wife admiring their soon to be babies when suddenly the scene turns dark. The music in the film
stops, along with all sounds of ocean life. Dark shadows are created in the film to fill the
audience with fear and dread. The fish are then attacked by a larger hungry fish leaving Marlin s
wife and all but one of their babies dead. The fear and sadness is apparent when Marlin sheds a
tear whilst holding the quivering egg that would soon be his son.... Show more content on

The audience is easily able to identify moments during the film where danger is imminent by
studying the patterns. Before every dangerous scene, there is a pause a stop, of all activity
going on around the characters. The makers of the film tried to create a realistic oceanic scene
while still adding a little fantasy as well. Realism is a natural style of acting used to make the
movie seem 100% possible and real in the eyes of the audience, (Goodykoontz Jacobs, 2014). The
use of underwater sound effects, fish activity, and bright, scientifically accurate color schemes
pulls the audience in and begs them to stretch their imagination to accept this new reality. Before
every scene, all activity ceases, all music ends, and the colors become dull or even dark

Chick-Fil-A Campaign Analysis
1.
The Chick fil a campaign is something that has clearly been successful since the 90s. Good PR
is not just about the over glorified launch. Good PR helps build and sustain a groundswell of
brand support incrementally changing consumer behaviors via a steady stream of relevant and
candid communication to both media and consumers (The 7 Elements of Good PR ,2009). The
Chick fil a campaign has done just that. The brand support has been a big success for the last
decade and has not failed yet. Over the years the changes in the ads have only become timelier to
the age we live in now. No matter what year you look at the campaign there is a cow with the
same style writing throughout. Chick Fil A does a good job making their message... Show more

For marketers it may help their businesses if people click on the ads. But for consumers they
have too much power on their computers. I personally think it is annoying having all these ads
on the side on the screen half of them I could care less about. So it does not seem to make sense
as to why they have all this power over what we browse on the internet. Unfortunately though
internet tracking is dangerous and can go a lot further than using information for ads. CBS News
wrote a story on a woman who was stalked and killed through information that is given out on the
internet. Complicating matters further are criminals who break into Web sites, steal the
information and use it for personal gain, (Sullivan.B, N.D). There should be better security tracking
on the internet if marketers are going to have control to see what we do. It also seems that we are
not always educated either though on what settings we have up on our computers. Most people
have their third party cookies enabled because we are unaware of the privacy issues, which result in
the cookies, (Fighting Internet Surveillance, N.D.).. There s nothing necessarily sinister about this
subterranean data exchange: this is, after all, the advertising ecosystem that supports free online
content (MADRIGAL.A, 2012). It seems like there is a divide in what people believe is right
against wrong. In one sense if they did not track what we did companies would have no ads to use
n the side of our screens. With companies tracking what we do it can also lead to more personal
issues that could later harm

Violent Video Games Do Not Cause Gun Violence
The killings in Marshall County High School, Kentucky. The slaughters in Marjory Stoneman
Douglas High School, Florida. The shootings in Great Mills High School, Maryland. All of these
tragedies are results of gun violence. But gun violence cannot just occur out of nowhere; there has
to be a cause. Many people believe that violent video games are the direct cause of abusing the
power of guns. But research has proven that this is not true; violent video games do not cause the
actual school shootings.
In Japan, statistics show that 90% of all children ages 10 14 have video games in their houses. In
America, the statistics are the same, 90% of all children play video games [PDF]. Similarly, 95%
of all children in France ages 10 14 play video games [PDF]. In fact, Japan even has Call of Duty
and other violent video games in its top 50 most played video games [PDF]. For France, Call of
Duty and other such violent video games have even made it to the top 10 most played video games
of the year [PICTURE]. In 2014, only 6 people in Japan died of gun wounds, compared to the 33,
599 people that died in America [PDF]. So how is Japan and France not breaking out into a killing
spree equivalent to America s? 32, 500, 000 units Call of Duty Black Ops 111 has been sold world

Why Are Value Investors Successful
Value investing is the strategy of purchasing an asset which is trading at a significant discount from
its determined intrinsic value. It has long been regarded as a low risk method of providing
outstanding investment returns (Klarman 2001). The investment strategy was described by
Benjamin Graham and David Doddin their book, Security Analysis (1940, p. 724). Over
subsequent decades the investment approach has evolved utilizing varying fundamental
methodologies but always maintaining the principle of investing when a discount to intrinsic
value exists. Graham and Dodd (1940, p. 368) referred to this principle as the margin of safety .

Focussing on portfolio returns over time horizons of up to 5 years, the researchers offered strong
empirical evidence of the effectiveness of the low P/BV strategy. Specifically average annual
returns of 19.8% were reported. They were also able to surmise that there is no support for the
hypothesis that value strategies are fundamentally riskier. Piotroski (2000) expanded on research
into a low P/BV strategy by only choosing financially strong firms using nine fundamental financial
signals. This refined investment strategy was shown to generate returns above value portfolios
formed solely by the low P/BV screening method. He then improved on this approach by
demonstrating a strategy of short selling the financially weaker low P/BV firms to produce over all
returns of 23% per annum. Piotroski also notes that initial signs of improvement in financial
performance are at first ignored by market participants, with share price reactions only occurring
during subsequent positive quarterly earnings announcements.
Investors and analysts have a tendency to rely too heavily on the record of past earnings growth
(La Porta et al. 1997). According to Lakonishok, Shleifer Vishny (1994) popular strategies like
extrapolating past earnings growth too far into the future or assuming a trend in stock prices ,
overreacting to good or bad news , or simply equating a good investment with a well run company

Therefore Innovation Strategy Development is the germination of new novel ideas and brilliant
business plans implemented mainly for driving growth and success in all aspects. I consider it
as sheer determination of an innovative leader to push forth these goals and objectives to take
shape in the most appropriate manner as per the leader s passion, desired outcome and the
organization s mission, vision, aims, goals and objectives. The article, The Aravind Eye Hospital,
Madurai, India: In Service for Sight, to me, is an example that clearly shows the growth and
development of the hospital, through the goals, aspirations, vision, mission and sheer
determination of its passionate leader and his team. Through innovative strategic plans the
hospital has developed itself to become the world s greatest compassionate business organization
with the clever application and adaptation of these plans, all under one roof by a single
organization in multiple areas such as leadership, strategy development, design thinking, customer
care/ service and operations. The brainchild of Dr. Govindappa Venkataswamy, Aravind Eye
Hospital was shockingly created with zero capital, no business plan or any kind of strategy in

King Lear Stereotypes
Gender Stereotypes in King Lear According to the Bible, man and woman were made by the same
materials, the same process, and the same hands. As time has passed, how these supposedly
similar creations are viewed as a whole, differs to a large extent through the use of premade
judgements. In King Lear, William Shakespeare shows how genderstereotypes are capable of going
from complete accuracy, to an entirely opposable turn. This is seen through the characters, Cordelia,
who follows gender stereotypes, Lear, who wavers between the two facets, and Goneril, who
convoys reverse gender stereotypes. One cannot change preinstalled thoughts, however there is the
ability to diminish them entirely. The act of following gender stereotypes is when one... Show more

In addition, Lear enables reversed stereotypical qualities. These qualities are shown when Lear
sees Cordelia for the first time after he banished her, specifically when he says, You are a spirit, I
know. Where did you die? (4.7.49). In this passage, Lear is crying while calling his daughter an
angel, a quiet and peaceful quality that is not seen very often with men. A large sense of
reversed stereotypes is evident, as most men are afraid to cry because it seems like a sense of
weakness, however here, Lear has his guard and walls completely down. In addition to not liking
to show emotion, men are also known to not want to say anything that could be considered as
mushy, which is the complete opposite of what Lear is doing here. Conceal, don t feel, don t let it
show unfortunately for Lear, whether he knows it or not, his capability to be sensitive is showing.
The above qualities reveal the fact that he follows both gender stereotypes, as well as reversed
gender stereotypes throughout the

It certainly can be argued that for every quality there is a sort of opposite, of course in many
instances there is an overlap. Considering tradition black and white culture, it s obvious that
some of the things we base these cultural values on are stereotypes at very best. However, the
foundation of black culture in America is in slavery, and the opposite in this instance with
reference to the white culture is in ownership of the African slaves, a kind of forced inequality.
Although the Emancipation Proclamation began a long fight for supposed freedom and equality
of all men, there is residual hatred and contempt even now. In the instance of age being a factor,
typically we look at our elders and bestow upon them the wisdom of the experience their years on
earth have granted them. Age can also lock in old or obsolete ideals. The youth of a society
oftentimes is regarded as more open minded and therefore more willing to roll with the punches
and adapt to the changing times. With reference to the older professor, Hughes makes a subtle
implication that the instructor will view the narrator s assignment as different, as he is the only
person of color in the entire class, saying, So will my page be colored that I write? ... Being me, it
will not be white. (Kennedy and Gioia, 980). In the final segment of Mr. Semansky s

  • 2. Hormones Involved In The Endocrine System The endocrine system is the body system that deals with hormones and controls the body s daily activities by producing specific chemicals. The endocrine system is also in charge of making sure that the body s functions are coordinated and working properly. An example of this would be having the same body temperature at all times and falling asleep and waking up. Hormones play a major part in the endocrine system. Hormones are the chemical product of an endocrine gland. There are different hormones that have different jobs. Certain hormones can turn on, turn off, speed up, or slow down the activities that different organs and tissues take part in. Other hormones can regulate metabolism, growth, mood, and organ function. All of the organs involved in this body system work together but are located in different... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The major organs involved in the endocrine system are glands. A gland is an organ that can produce as well as release chemicals. With this body system, endocrine glands make and distribute the chemicals into the bloodstream. There are multiple types of glands that have specific jobs involving the endocrine system. These endocrine glands are: the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, thymus, pancreas, and finally ovaries in females and testes in males. Together, these glands make up more than 30 types of hormones. Each gland has its own job in the body. The hypothalamus, located in the brain, links the nervous system and the endocrine system. It also controls the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is also located in the brain and it receives information from the hypothalamus about the body. This gland controls other endocrine glands and regulates growth, blood pressure, and water balance. The thyroid gland controls the release of energy from food molecules inside cells. The parathyroid controls and regulates the amount of calcium in the blood. The adrenal gland ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Analysis Of On The Waterfront Essay Trang Truong 10/23/16 Philosophy 1030 Professor Teall Ethics in action In the movie, On The WaterFront , I would apply the theory of virtue ethics to the problem that Terry faced in corrupt union. According to virtue ethics, we know what is morally correct because it is what the virtuous person or one who has good characters would do (module 7). Virtue ethics is different than the theory of utilitarianism and deontologism. The action isn t judged by its outcome or rule but by a person who acts. Virtue ethics looks deeply into a person s soul. It looks for a person s good characteristics. It claims that no matter what you do as long as your are a virtuous person, your action is morally correct. For instance, a honest person is put into a situation where he has to choose either to tell his Mom about his Dad s affair or not to. He loves both of his parents. He knows his Mom would leave the house if she knew the truth. He nevers wants them to be separated. His Dad will be in big trouble if his secret gets revealed. But, it wouldn t be fair for Mom staying home and cooking for the family while Dad is happy with another woman. Also, he never hides things from his parents before. Therefore, he decides to tell his Mom the truth despite of the fear of separation and Dad being mad at him. We are not born with innate good character traits. We develop good potential from time to time as we grow. In order to develop virtues, we have to keep practicing them until they become a habit. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Basics Behind Qualitative Research Fundamentals of Qualitative Research Jamye D. Jeter Cameron Submitted to Dr. Curtis Maybee University of Phoenix Fundamentals of Qualitative Research When a researcher sets out to begin a study, he or she must begin by asking questions of him or herself. These questions lead to the determination of the type of research study the researcher is going to conduct. The study may be based on qualitative research , quantitative research, or both. But, in order to determine the study method and design choice, the researcher needs to see what is fueling his or her research question. Research questions based on quantitative research focuses on obtaining data that can be measured, usually in some form or numerical/statistical manner (Leedy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Leedy amp; Ormrod, 2010, there are three major sources of data for qualitative studies interviews, observations, and documents (p. 23). If is up to the researcher to determine what process of research is best for the study he or she is conducting. There are times when only one method is used, but then there are times when more than one method is used. However, the researcher may identify his or her primary method (Rubin, 2007). It is also possible to utilize the internet and worldwide web to collect information for the study also. After the data is collected, the researcher must be able to analyze the data. The truth is the data analysis is usually simultaneous with the data collection stage (Rubin, 2007). From the time the first interview takes place or observation begins, the researcher should already be analyzing what he or she has learned. By doing so, the researcher can eliminate the possibility of being overwhelmed with information at the conclusion of the data collection process. While analyzing, the information collected, the researcher can break up what he or she learns into categories (Leedy amp; Ormrod, 2010). The use of these categories will help identify any patterns of behavior or occurrence that may exist. References Jenkins, L. (2009). The author mainly focuses on talking about farm animals since those are the type that are mainly consumed. He uses analogies by comparing animals to some delicate situations people actually experienced. For example, he compared cows being inseminated to a person being sexually assaulted. These analogies are difficult to think about in a different perspective, but it definitely makes you think. He highlights th way these farm animals are treated before they are slaughtered and defends the fact that they have feelings as well. Another major element of symbolism is the volley ball with the name brand Wilson on it now becomes his imaginary friend. This helps him to maintain his sanity by giving him some form of communication that he can have someone to talk to. This is the concept or idea that helps him survive through these catastrophic times. Additionally, the volley ball could be somewhat as a visual metaphor that helps the audience better relate to and understand the need for communication as a method for sanity and survival as well. On another note, satire is not really used in this film to show the ridiculousness of this dramatized film. There may be just some minor satire with the communication he has with this volley ball which he gives him the name Wilson, when Chuck gets frustrated and yells at the ball. Other than this, no other satire is noticed. Irony being another literary element of storytelling is used in the film Cast Awayand the element of situational irony is applied here. Growing up with a younger sister of similar age, we often fought (we still do). It is now all a big blur on why we fought, but I can still remember the act of revenge that we took on one another. There is a variety of different reasons why employers layoff their employees, and the laws in many states allow them to at any time as long as the reason does not contravene state or federal law. Being let go from your job can happen by firing or layoff, and though neither is, usually, desired, the layoff is typically the method that carries less of a stigma. Abstract Under study learning of sound waves can benefit from outside assistance through the making of gathering learning classroom materials whose advancement and outline depend on unequivocal examinations concerning understudy understanding. We portray thinking as far as sets of assets, i.e. assembled building squares of feeling that are normally utilized as a part of a wide range of settings. Understudies in our college material science classes frequently utilized arrangements of assets that were not quite the same as the ones we wish them to utilize. By planning educational modules materials that get some information about the physical science from an alternate perspective, we realize change in understudy comprehension of sound waves. Our educational programs alterations are particular to our own classes; however our portrayal of understudy learning is all the more for the most part helpful for educators. We portray how understudies can utilize different arrangements of assets in their reasoning, and bring up issues that ought to be considered by both educators and analysts. • 26. The War Of France And Louis Xiv The wars in France were one of the main causes to which economic distress arose. France did not just simply acquire a substantial debt suddenly which led to economic distress but gradually over time the financial situation in France worsened due to events such as the Seven Years War 1756 1763, American Revolution 1775 1783 and The Nine Years War (1688 1697) which would lead to long term negative financial implications for France. Louis XIV had extended France s power into Central Europe and North America. This power came about through wars which landed France with a self inflicted debt which would cripple its economy. When Louis XIV died in 1715 the state of the economy was dire and the subsequent fiscal decisions by Louis XV and Louis XVI aggravated the situation. France was in a constant state of war and debt and the immunity of taxes on the nobility and clergy deprived France of funds that it so desperately needed. France s status as superpower was at threat as Russia, Prussia and above all Great Britain where becoming increasingly powerful, Frances strong desire to retain this power explains the ill advised and catastrophic foreign policies it had adopted. In the American war of independence in 1775 to 1783 France directed its forces to assist the Americans. French aid was pivotal in compelling the British to surrender at Yorktown in 1781. The field of meteorology is a science that incorporates distinctive terminology. Unfortunately, some of these terms meanings have a tendency to be portrayed inaccurately. It could be argued that the most familiar concepts falsely defined would be the meteorology terms weather and climate. It is important to provide a distinction between weather, climate, and the field of meteorology. When discussing atmospheric conditions over a long period of time (e.g. for several years) at a particular surface area, the climate is being analysed. It is distinct from weather in that climate focuses on a longer period of time over a specific area while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The surface area of a cell determines the number of substances that go into the cell from the outside of the cell. • 31. Strawson And Jean Donnellan Summary Donnellan, in Reference and Definite Description, outlines two uses of definite descriptions. He argues that definite descriptions can either have an attributive or a referential use. While theories outlined by Strawson and Russell account for a single use, Donnellan advocates for both. To explain both the attributive and referential uses, I will review two examples. The first example, put forth by Donnellan, is for the statement Smith s murderer is insane. There are two ways of interpreting this statement, based on whether the definite descriptionattributes or refers. In one situation, the audience does not know who murdered Smith. If this is the case, then the speaker does not pick someone out. Instead, the speaker s statement uses the definite description attributively. Here, the definite description itself is what is most significant. Meanwhile, if someone, whom we will call Jones, has been accused of the murder, the use changes. When the speaker now makes the statement, the audience picks out Jones as the referent. The definite description has a referential use. It acts as a tool for picking out a particular one or thing.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, when we say, Smith s murderer is insane, the implication is not true. The consequences of this differ based on which use of description the speaker is employing. Under an attributive usage, there would be no person who we can truly attribute insanity to. Meanwhile, with a referential usage, the speaker could still successfully refer to Jones. However, the description, insane murderer would no longer fit Jones. The act of picking out is the key function for a referential use of a description. Even if the description is wrong, reference is still ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He then goes on to bet with Satan, that whatever Job does, he will not renounce his faith in God. There are a couple of reasons this strikes me as odd. First of all, why would God, who is all knowing want to have anything to do with making deals with Satan? Secondly, why would Satan be interested in making deals with God, if he knows God already has the future planned out? Lastly, why would God put unnecessary affliction on His best man if it were only to prove a point to Satan? Maybe one of the reasons God would take a bet on by Satan in the ... So why would Satan waste his time making a bet that he knew he would lose? The only reason I can see is that he truly thought Job would fall under the circumstances. This exchange between Satan and God seems like a no win situation. God, on one hand would never have made a bet, which would result in Him, appearing weaker or him losing. Patience, effort, and preparation for needs are an essential key to knowledge and success. Before such steps can be followed, a student must set self goals of what they desire to achieve in school over a period of time. Not all students are born naturally gifted with intelligence in this universe, but following the most helpful directions in life will in no doubt assist any lost student in achieving his or her self desire. The negligence of studying and completing homeworkis the first and main reason why students continue to struggle with their grades and life in general. Free time between classes and after school should contribute towards studying and homework instead of time to associate with friends and/or a significant other. Of course, students do not have to shelter themselves away from what makes them most happy, however, free time should be divided up so that a proper amount is spent preparing for tests or finishing assignments. Just one to two hours a day spent studying can boost a grade from a seventy percent to a ninety percent, and this will significantly relieve stress and boost confidence. Instead, a therapeutic nurse client relationship extends beyond physical needs ensuring that a client s psychological and emotional needs are being met as well (National Council, 2013). In developing a relationship with a newly pregnant client, it is essential to understand common responses to pregnancy. Newly pregnant clients are often in a state of shock or disbelief, and any ambivalence detected by a nurse could simply be the result of the pregnancy not yet being acknowledged as real by the client (Lowdermilk Perry, 2010). This is especially likely of an unplanned pregnancy in which there are few signs and symptoms. In developing a relationship with a client, a nurse must being willing to fully give of his or her self, identifying, empathizing, and addressing specific needs, and providing truthful and unbiased answers to questions (National Council, 2013). In this case, a caring nurse must recognize that the client is not exhibiting eagerness for the pregnancy and respond accordingly. Rather than displaying the enthusiasm that a nurse may show with other clients, the nurse should maintain professionalism with the client and listen to her concerns and address each of them (Lowdermilk Perry, 2010). After analyzing both Google and Bing s search tools, I ve come to the conclusion that Google just has more to offer. The tool that stands out the most and gave the best results was the Verbatim option under All results . When using it, Google will only display results specific to the user s search term or phrase. For example, when I search Gerrymandering , no results containing synonyms, similar terms, previously used websites, or words from the same stem will appear in my results. When searching for a phrase such as Gerrymandering in Maryland , the verbatim tool will only show the user results with that exact phrase. No results containing those words separated should appear. Another great search tool Google has to offer is the Advanced search , found in the upper right hand corner under the options button. This tool offers the user many ways to narrow down their search to find the the exact result their looking for. Some Advanced search allows users to search by language, region, last updated, file type, usage rights, site or domain name, where the phrase appears on the site, ranging numbers, and exact words or phrases. The Murdell Flemming Trilemma or Unholy Trinity states that a government can only generate policy that satisfies two of three general desires; these desires are exchange rate stability, capital mobility, and domestic monetary autonomy (Cohen, 2010). Concerning the China, the general international monetary choices should be capital mobility and domestic monetary autonomy. In an era where multinational corporations are increasingly looking to cross regional mergers and acquisitions to create value, it is more important than ever for China to retain capital mobility and domestic monetary autonomy (Cross Regional, 2015). Through an examination of multinational corporations and domestic monetary policy choices, the need for capital mobility and domestic monetary autonomy become clear. This need is proven through the effects these policy choices have on domestic monetary value and the subsequent consequences these effects have on cross regional mergers and acquisitions. The ... Films on History can be lengthy and tedious, but that sure is not the case in this fascinating movie about the famous abolitionist William Wilberforce, who was responsible for steering anti slave trade legislation through the British parliament. Contrary to what its title suggests, Amazing Grace isn t really about the inauguration of the Christian hymn. Set in the 18th century England, it focuses on William s political career to abolish the slave trade by arguing against it on the floor of the House of Commons, which placed him at odds with some of the most powerful men of the time. His friend William Pitt tries to convince him not to, and tells Wilberforce of his magnificent plan to become prime minister and that he wants Wilberforce there with him. Pitt, still trying to convince Wilberforce to stay in Parliament brings a group of people over to Wilberforce s house for dinner. While eating, one of the men places a set of chains on the table and begins to explain how slaves are transported in ships. A former slave, Oloudah Equiano, explains the process and shows Wilberforce the branding mark on his chest he got when he was sold. They tell Wilberforce that they need someone to help them to oppose the trade. John Newton, an elderly priest, served as captain of a slave ship who realized what he was doing was wrong. He then wrote a song to God to free him from the sin of his wrong doing in his correlation with the slave trade; this song was called Amazing Grace. Newton acts as indefinite motivation for Wilberforce to continue his anti slave movement. Parliament becomes impossible to persuade. There are so many excuses set fourth by the Parliament explaining what effects the lack of trade will cause to the people of the city, as well as many industries. Unfortunately though internet tracking is dangerous and can go a lot further than using information for ads. CBS News wrote a story on a woman who was stalked and killed through information that is given out on the internet. Complicating matters further are criminals who break into Web sites, steal the information and use it for personal gain, (Sullivan.B, N.D).
