The Scaled Quail By Rebecca Robertson
The Scaled Quail
By Rebecca Robertson
3/2/17
Appearance:
This bird has a striking appearance of a series of round feathers that adorn the bird s body, giving
it the illusion of having scales. Their legs are built to run and evade predators, as the grasslands
themselves are open with not a lot of trees or logs to hide. Their wingspan averages 14 15 inches.
Classified Name: Callipepla squamata
Other Names: This bird is found in several other states such as Texas, Kansas, and New Mexico to
name a few. Therefore, this bird goes by other names as well, with popular ones such as cotton top

They will primarily eat seeds and plants, so they affect the amount of seeds in the area. If they
were to decrease in size, the number of insects and grain would rise. Because they are prey, they
must take advantage of the tall grasses to hide from predators such as raccoons, coyotes, foxes, and
even other birds of prey that include some eagles and falcons.
Consumer Type:
Scaled Quails largely live off of seeds and plants such as roots and weeds. They also eat lots of
seeds and some grains. With their diet of both plants and insects, they are an omnivore. They are a
forager for greens (grasses, roots and weeds) as it supports them.
Range:
This type of quail likes desert like environments, so they take to the states of Kansas, Oklahoma,
Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico, states all known for their grasslands and dry climates.
Types of Symbiotic Relationships
Service Mutualism: The scaled quail has many relationships, ranging from it s diet to
environment. The scaled quail will take the seeds and other plants it finds to survive. In turn, the
bird will help spread the seeds, allowing opportunity for new growth for the plant. Overall, this in
itself is a mutualistic relationship, as the birds gets a means of food and helps the plant by
spreading its seeds. Since it helps the plant transport it s seeds, it belongs in the category of service
mutualism. The scaled quail will use any available cover it runs across. Thus, a

Advantages Of Apparel Industry
TheoryDuring 1980s, most global firms focused on quality management in product design and
internal process improvement in order to achieve competitive advantage. Today, the spotlight shines
on transferring value to customers instead (Mentzer Williams 2001). Therefore, logistics has turned
to be the primary marketing instrument for increasing and sustaining competitive excellence. While
comparing to the past, logisticswas only taken as a function regarding the higher productivity
objective (Hutt Speh 2011). According to the study of Mentzer Williams (2001), the approach to
have sustainable competitive advantage may not just adhere to only 4 factors of marketing mix:
product, price, place and promotion, but companies... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The structure starts with fiber producers who can be both agricultural and chemical suppliers.
Natural fibers such as wool and cotton can be provided by various types of firms, but plenty of
low cost suppliers from Asia are the important competitors. Textile mills take the next
responsibility, their duties are spinning fiber into yarn, knitting and weaving operations and
mostly they are fragmented to SMEs (Small and medium sized enterprises). After being
transformed by textile mills, the fabrics are distributed to apparel manufacturers in order to
produce the finished products and they are sold either directly or through wholesalers, to a variety
of retail stores (Kumar 2005). For the complex supply chain activities in apparel industry which is
mentioned above, it is vital to foster the logistics efficiency to be adaptive, flexible and built upon
dependable and predictable supply and demand planning model (Gilbert Malmassari 2015). Hence,
marketing teams in apparel companies are able to perform their tasks in the precise approach by
measuring market share and profitability through popular measurements such as marketing
effectiveness and competitive advantage (Mentzer Williams

Mark Hamill Accomplishments
Before I mentioned that Mark Hamill hasn t had many major on screen roles but he has had a
very successful career as a voice actor and is mainly famous for voicing the Joker in Batman:
The Animated Series and Batman: Arkham video game series. He has been voicing the Joker
for 18 years in nearly every project, as fans get grumpy when somebody else is cast in his stead.
(Forbes.com, 2015). He is adored by fans as the quote by Forbes states, people want him that
much that they are ready to get in touch with the producers of the project and voice their concern
as the feel that Mark Hamill is the only person capable of performing the role of the Jokerto the
standard they want. This strengthens the argument for him being a cult star as there... Show more

Mark Hamill is a cult star because of whom he played in Star Wars. By playing Luke Skywalker
he made his career but at the same time ruined it because everyone knew who he was and he was
known worldwide but not the actor he is. Instead of gaining his own identity of Mark Hamill,
the actor, he was tied to the identity Luke Skywalker for a few different reasons such as facial
scars and not having many other on screen roles compared to his co stars. This directly impacted
him in a few roles because people didn t want Luke Skywalker in their film. He is a cult star
because he has a loyal fan base for both Star Wars and the Animated BatmanSeries as the voice of
the Joker. He is classed as a cult star because of the voice acting, just because it isn t a on screen
role doesn t mean he cant be cult because of it. He has a loyal fan base that loves his voice acting
skills and don t want him to pass the mantle to another voice actor because he is one of the best
Joker voices. Even with his voice acting work he still doesn t have his own identity because
when I was researching about Mark Hamill and the Joker I started talking to someone and I asked
him If he knew who voices the animated Joker? He replied Yeah, its Luke

Essay about Believing in the Paranormal
A ghost, according to the article History of Ghosts on History.com, is a person s spirit once it
has separated itself from the body after death. Also known as specters, ghosts continue existing
even after the heart stops and the corpse is cold, and they fall under the category of paranormal
phenomena. When something is considered paranormal, it simply means that science has no
explanation for it. So if science can t explain it, it can t be real, right? Not necessarily. It just
means that it hasn t been proven a fact, it s all in theory. But Jack Porter makes a valid point in his
article, The Study of Paranormal Phenomenon is a Legitimate Science , when he says, It is
important to remember the Big Bang is a theory, but that is still... Show more content on

Faint whispering and laughing, along with having their blankets yanked from their bed and harsh
slaps and pinches. It wasn t until 1820, when John Bell died, that the events began to die down,
but even to this day the Bell family descendents say that mysterious things happen inside the old
home. There have even been reports of ghosts of historical figures as well. One of the most
frequently reported dates back to the 16th century. Mother of Queen Elizabeth I and wife to King
Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn was executed at the Tower of London in 1536 after being accused of
witchcraft, treason, adultery and incest. There have been sightings of the woman s ghost reported at
the tower and other locations such as her home, Hever Castle in Kent. (History.com) Then there s
the White House in the United States. Considered to be perhaps the most haunted house in America,
there has been several reported phenomenons, many of them believed to be sightings of past
presidents of the United States. Mary Todd Lincoln, wife of Abraham Lincoln, believed strongly in
the occult and often held seances in order to communicate with her sons. She had told friends she
had heard former president Andrew Jackson stomping and swearing through the halls of the
presidential residence. Jackson s bedchamber, also know as the Rose Room, is said to be one of
the most haunted rooms in the White House. But he isn t the only president said to be wandering

Health Disparities Case Study
Health Disparities are unjust and unequal quality of health or health care outcomes which most
often occurs as a result of margin in educational level, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and
demographics. Indeed, equality in health care is far from perfect in America, there are a number
of socio ecological factors educational level, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and demographics
which commonly cause disparities between the healthcare qualities of different peoples, nations,
cultures, and other classifications. In the case of my focus area of HIV, despite deterrence efforts,

Analysis Of The Article Reinventing The Veil
The role of the veil in Persepolis
One of the most controversial topics concerning Muslim women s rights is the idea of the veil.
It is believed by some Muslims that the veil is an Islamic obligation that all Muslim women
must adhere to. But nowadays, the veil can have different meanings that are not necessarily
religious. In her article Reinventing the Veil, Leila Ahmed addresses some of the different
meanings that the veil can have. Marjane Satrapi explores one of those meanings in her
animated autobiography Persepolis (2008). In Persepolis, Marjane tells the story of her rebellion
against the Iranian Islamist regime that takes over Iran, oppresses women, and forces them to
wear the veil. What was interesting to me was seeing Marjane wear the veil without being
oppressed, although she does not believe in it, and is being forced to wear it. In Persepolis,
Marjane Satrapi escapes being a subject to the Iranian Islamist ideology by establishing her
individual identity through transforming the veil from a means of oppression into a means of
feminist rebellion.
In an interview conducted by MovieWeb, Marjane notes that the film isn t political, historical or
sociological. The film simply holds a humanistic message that says that human beings anywhere is
the same, and they have the right to live (Satrapi.) This humanistic message is what we see
Marjane fighting for in the film. She is striving to live a normal life, and one of the things that help
her do that is the veil. She

Diego Eulogy
He did not fit in. Black, straight hair. From the back, a twig, but wild as a monkey. Most would
call him a handful, or a spirited boy. His name, Diego, my first and best friend during preschool.
We were like brothers, but respected each other as peers. Around other boys, Diego was the
opposite of the person I would hang out with everyday. He almost had two personalities. Diego
would tackle or fight almost anyone that was in his way, including vocally with teachers. In one
specific instance, Diego had just learned the phrase, what the heck and was using it to everyone,
excluding me. Throughout my time with him, I would ask, Why are you so kind to me? Diego
would always ignore me on that question. I guess Diego treated me like I was special to him.

not let anyone else play with him and me until I said it was okay. Hearing my mom say, Diego
only wants to play with you. when I ask if I can have playdates with other kids was not
surprising to me. I guess Diego idolized me. I was always liked by everyone because of my
kindness, and Diego wanted to learn how to receive that same type of attention. Instead, he craved
for any attention, even if it were bad. I assume Diego would think, If I want to be like Kaito, I
need to behave better, but he was unstable with his emotions. Mrs. Rodriguez, Diego s mother
would always tell me, Kaito, you are always welcome to our house because Diego somehow
changes into another person. It s like, you re teaching him how to be like you, because he acts in
the best way possible when you re here. Soon, preschool ended, and Diego could not get into the
same private school as myself because he could not behave well in the slightest without me there.

operating expenses are as low as they could possibly be. He has personal control over every
feature of his business, and he possesses sound judgement and a willingness to work harder than

the other trade letters received by the bank bore out this opinion. In addition to the ownership of
his catering supplies business, which was his major source of income, Govan jointly owned,
with his wife, a small holiday cottage. The cottage cost R500 000 to build on in 2009 and was

Bill/Jordan, I am writing to notify you that I am regretfully providing two weeks notice and will

approximately $10,000 annually to accept a role in the office. I had to adjust our budget to
accept this position, but I knew it would pay off in the future. I bet on myself and my work ethic

Ionian Revolt
Threat affects the dependent variable of state behavior. Walt states that powers will either balance
or bandwagon against another state. If a weak state is on good terms with a powerful state, the
weak state will be unlikely to balance against the stronger state. Furthermore, the weaker state is
likely to benefit from the alliance because of added security. However, if the weaker stateperceives
the stronger state as a threat, then the weaker state will balance against the strong state in order to
protect itself. Additionally, if the state is not a good terms with the rival state, it is unable to
bandwagon and will therefore engage in balancing. Balancing can be broken up into internal and
external parts. A state can either build up their... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since balance of threat assumes every state is a black box, it does not look at internal causes of
conflict. Within Ionia, they had a history of tension with the Persians. Since Persia had enacted
tyrants over the Greek city states, they already disliked them and were ready to rebel. This
reason may have been a cause of the Ionian Revolt, which Walt did not account for.
Notwithstanding this criticism, the balance of threat theory provides the best explanation for the
revolt. It is able to explain the initial attempt at bandwagoning and the final decision to balance.
The theory is able to account for aggregate power, geographical proximity, offensive capabilities,
and offensive intent. This allows more than just two factors to influence how a state will react.
Another strength of Walt s theory is focusing on the threat rather than the power. Even if a state
has great power, a rival state may not react to it if it does not possess a threat. Vice versa, a state
with small power, but a great threat, may cause the rival state to react by balancing or
bandwagoning. Together, the theory of balance of threat is able to provide a better explanation for
the Ionian

Similarities In The Opposition. Ideas Do Not Prove Their
Similarities in the Opposition Ideas do not prove their value until they withstand the challenge of
being questioned. On the surface, professor Craig Martin and anthropologist Clifford Geertz
approach analyzing religion with opposing views. Martin dismisses definitions of religion
claiming that no definition can encompass the practical use of the word and instead provides a
step by step approach to explaining beliefs and actions in the perspective of a methodological
atheist. Geertz, however, provides a working definition broken into a five part model to make it a
useful tool. Upon further analysis of these two methods, the once contradicting ideas begin to work
in unison with each other. Martin s functionalist approach and the definition... Show more content

Martin discusses the uses of the hermeneutics of suspicion for his second step in his approach. He
believes it is important to remain suspicious of the cultural element being examined and presume it
is false. Geertz, in the second part of his definition, states that a system of symbols acts to establish
powerful, pervasive and long lasting moods and motivations in men (Geertz, 1993). This statement
is in agreeance with the suspicious mindset provided by Martin, as Geertz also does not confirm
any religious beliefs to be true. He uses the word acts to show that the cultural elements function in
a specific way, not to prove their factual accuracy. His definition demonstrates the unity of
individual components in a culture and how they function. Both methods do not approach religion
with yes or no questions but rather seek the answer to why it functions in particular ways and how
it continues to exist. In life, there are questions that have answers unable to be proven with facts of
science, which leaves a lot of room up for interpretation. As previously stated, neither Martin nor
Geertz tries to prove religious facts but rather explains them in terms of how they function in the
practical world. Martin s last step in the methodological atheist approach is to provide a
functionalist explanation as to why the cultural element persists in societies. In investigating this
function, Martin must analyze all parts of Geertz s definition. The

(Linda Brent, 1861, p. 413) I can truly not know how one person would not know that they are a

that Brent s father s main goal were to buy his children out of the life of slavery is saddening, a

Mothers weaning their babies from nursing early so the mistresses child could feed better is bad,

Taking a Look at the Manhattan Project
Although the Manhattan project was a bomb it was the psychological effects of the two bomb
droppings that did more damage than the actual destruction caused. The projected was started
through United States concern that the Germans were developing a similar weapon. It was kept
a well guarded secret and when it was used for the first time on a city caused a horrible shock.
The decision to use the bomb was not made lightly and had many different reasons behind it. It
was made especially hard after seeing the actual destruction it could cause because unveiling the
technology would lead to others wanting to replicate it. In the end though it was used on Japan and
though it caused less damage than previous air raids it lead to their surrender. While nuclear fission
was believed to be possible in Germany since 1938 it was not put into actionin the United States
until 1943. That year Allied scientists created a plan to use the fission to build an atomic bomb
before the Germans could. In early 1939 word spread like wildfire that Germany had learned hot to
split an atom. The fears this struck in the scientific community encouraged scientist, like Albert
Einstein, who fled Nazi persecution, and Enrico Fermi, who escaped Fascist Italy, to approach the
President. They wanted to express the dangers of the technology and to urge him to start an atomic
research program in the United States. Fermi decided to travel to Washington only to be faced with

Features Of Post Impressionism
Post impressionism was an art movement between the end of 19th century and the beginning of
20th century, started in France. It was a breach of Impressionism. During the period of
Impressionism, some artists started to dissatisfied to the style as Impressionism depended too much
on visual and scientific analysis. They thought Impressionism only focused on the techniques and
effects of light and shadow but neglect the importance of subject matters. Some young artists and
critics demanded a shift in the focus of representational arts. Paul CГ©zanne, Georges Seurat, Paul

Dunshy V. Court Case Summary
A contract is considered a legally binding agreement. A valid contract is an agreement that is
binding and enforceable. A contract is not enforced if one of the parties involved has a lack of
capacity. When lack of capacity is determiend a contract is voidable. A contract signed by a
minor can be avoided because anyone under the age of 18 is a minor and minors are not legally
capable of signing contracts. Since Alex signed the contract at the age of 16, it is not a binding
contract.
Quasi contracts are required by the court to prevent unjust enhancements when there is a dispute
over payment. Technically the courts could hold the Dunphy s responsible for payment. Quasi
contractual liability would not be imposed if the Dunphy s were on vacation in Hawaii and were
unaware that the work was completed. The Dunphy s would not be responsible for the completed
work or payment in this situation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The court could rule that the Dunphy s pay for the services provided, but because Alex is a
minor, this might not apply. Since the roof has been fixed and the job completed, Alex is unable
to give back or return the received product. Alex can disaffirm the contract. A minors right to
disaffirm a contract is not affected even if what has been received has been spent, used, damaged,
or destroyed. Common law rule states, minors can thus refuse to pay for items received under a
contract. (Twomey et al. , 2017). Since the service was completed under a contract signed by a
minor, Alex can refuse to pay for that

Emily Dickinson As A Pre-Romanticist Poet In American Culture
Emily Dickinson is considered a powerful and persistent pre modernist poet in American culture.
Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was born on December 10, 1830 in Amherst, Massachusetts on the
family homestead ( Emily Dickinson ). Her mother and father were Emily and Edward Dickinson:
she had a sister, Lavinia Dickinson, and a brother, William Austin Dickinson. Dickinson began
attending Amherst Academy with her sister in 1840 and graduated in 1847. After graduating, she
began Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in South Hadley. While she attended Mount Holyoke, she
started a pattern that would continue through out her life (Brand 15). She would attach herself to
an older man and confide in him. Sending frequent letters and poems was how she communicated
with him; Dickinson referred to whoever this man was at the time in her life as master or preceptor
. Benjamin Newton, one of her father s law students, visited the Dickinson home frequently. He and
Dickinson met through this habit of his and he became her first master . Benjamin influenced
Dickinson s writing greatly; he introduced her to Ralph Waldo Emerson and encouraged her to
write. After only a year at Mount Holyoke, she left the school. The reasons for her departure have
been never agreed upon. Dickinson slowly submerged herself in a life of seclusion after her school
years communicating mostly through letters. She traveled with her father and sister to Washington,

Canada s Role In Ww2
In the final two years of the Second World War, Canadian operations was astonishing from the
simple growth and expansion of the RCN, working alongside Britain to engage in and manage
convoy protection. Canada s naval contribution was essential over U Boat attacks on shipping, and
because of such undertakings, Canadian naval officers conducted an ultimately successful
campaign to have Canadas efforts in the Battle of the Atlantic acknowledged by the creation of an
independent Canadian command in the northwest Atlantic. In December 1942, Canada successfully
won an administrative battle to gain responsibility for the distribution of all intelligence concerning
convoys under Canadian control, and because of complex additions to the Enigma machines... Show

Moving forward, it is also highly unlikely that Britain would have survived after the Battle of
Britain had the Royal Canadian Navy not been assisting merchant convoys crossing the Atlantic
from the US and Canada. The air effort presented similar trends as the RCN in May 1945, there
were 784 aircraft in Coastal command, with 511 used against submarines and the rest for enemy
attacks. Approximately 153,000 flight personnel were trained out of a total of 239,761 that
were engaged in British and Commonwealth flying operations, a pivotal choice in gaining air
superiority victory over the sky would never have happened so quickly without Canada s
involvement. The RCAF famously worked with the RCN throughout the Battle of Britain, the
attempt by the German war machine to destroy Britain s Royal Air Force (RAF) and prepare for
invasion after already conquering most of Europe, including France, which was one of Canada
s first campaigns during the first nine months or so of war. Founded in 1924, the RCAF was the
smallest of Canada s services when war broke out in 1939. Attempts to expand and improve the
force up until 1935 were futile, only growing from 569 to 1,031 personnel, just enough for the
needs of war. The Second World War undoubtedly established an aircraft industry and the
progression of civil aviation formed a reserve of skilled pilots from a developed training scheme
established in Canada. The inauguration of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP)
took place, a strategy conceived by Prime Minister King to train pilots and flight personnel in
Canada, so that the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) would remain a safe distance away from the
fighting in Europe and North Africa. This allowed for contribution from the war effort on home

Descriptive Writing On Homelessness
Through the dismal half light, my eyes could only just make out an immense staircase that
stretched up the decrepit landing. A strange odour emanated from the wooden steps, suggesting I
was perhaps not the first mortal soul to wander these deserted halls, nor would I be the last to
leave, alive, at least. A series of gashes lined the wall, unsettlingly similar to those found in the gas
chambers at Auschwitz. Below my feet, two depressions in the wood trailed up the stairs, worn
away where people had once roamed. Burnt out candles lined the scorched snaking bannisters that
ran parallel until they finally met further on. A chilling wind sliced through the floorboards creating
an eerie whistle that echoed off the peeling walls.

The inconsistent light flickered like a candle, illuminating the steps below me. The disintegrating
door squeaked as it reluctantly opened, prompting a mouse to squirm from out the wooden
frame, scuttling across down the steps. I stood in the entranceway, amazed at what I saw. It was
as if you were looking into a monochrome picture, nothing but different shades of grey: dark for
the walls, and light for the floor. The consistent grey reminded me of the Berlin Wall, similar in
how they induced claustrophobia, dividing me from the outside world. Even the books that
stretched along the bookshelf were grey due to their age. A single book lay open on a lectern in
the middle of the room, labelled: Freedom by William Safire . The emptiness of my surroundings
gave a prison like feeling; everything was monotone, apart from the rustic leather chair that stood
defiantly in the corner.
A pattern was etched into the mahogany legs, spiralling up the wooden feet, finishing at the arms.
Acting as a shield, the chair had blocked all dust from reaching the floor underneath, the chair had
worn brass pins that kept the leather strapped tight to the hard reddish timber. Acting as a shield
from the dust, it revealed a checkered flooring that spanned the room. I remember not being so
interested in the chair itself... but more so by the human skeleton that lay slouched in the chair,

The Australian Constitution Essay
The Australian Constitution
Will Australia become a republic in the next twenty years? This is a difficult question to speculate
on. The main area of law governing this issue is section 128 of the Commonwealth of Australia
Constitution Act 1900 (U.K). Other issues in this debate are regarding appointment, termination
and the powers to be awarded to the proposed Head of State, and the impact the change will have on
the States. Examining the history of Australian Legislative powers, and reasons why Australians
would want to change, is also useful when speculating on this issue.
The Colonial Laws Validity Act 1865 emphasized self government in the colonies, although denying
them the power to amend or repeal British law. (Enright ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Chisholm et.al 1997,p.68) There is a feeling that for Australia to be truly independent, the ties with
England would need to be severed. (Mack, K., in Corkery et.al 1998, p.34) One view would be to
simply abolish the Monarchy. (Winterton, G., in Stephenson et.al 1994, p.17) However, others
might say that our current system is already mostly Republican with the only Monarchial elements
remaining being the concentration of Royal powers in the Ministry. (http://www.aph.gov.au/senate
/general/republic.htm#aussie)
In any event, severing the Royal ties is not that easy, as amendments to the Australian Constitution
Acts 1900(U.K) can only be passed in Parliament in accordance with section 128. (Chisholm et.al
1997, p.61)
Section 128 prescribes that changes can only be implemented by referendum. To hold a
referendum a Bill needs to be passed through the Commonwealth Parliament to authorize it. Once
authorized, a majority of votes, as well as a majority of States is required. This dual criterion has
proven difficult to achieve, with only eight referendums being successful since Federation. (Brown
et.al 2000, p.p. 68 69 and Chisholm et.al 1997, p.64)
If a referendum is successful, the Governor General will need to assent to the Bill to become an
Act. Moreover, since the referendum effectively abolishes the Office of the Governor General,

The Effects Of Football Hooliganism
Football hooliganism is a description of a football related violent behaviours and actions from
aggressive and fanatic football supporters. It is a very widely spread and transitional phenomena in
many parts of Europe, Latin America, and recently in north Africa. Hundreds of incidents have
happened, many people have died, thousands of fans have injured, several stadiums were ruined,
and many squares were turned into battlefields just because of footballhooligans who exploit the
game of football to achieve personal or common interests and to declare themselves as powerful.

I assure you, it s much more serious than that (Shankly, cited in Hendriks and Gilbert, 2014, p.12).
Football hooliganism is far more than simple violent incidents in football games. It is a very
deleterious phenomenon that affects the reputation of the entire sports, especially the football
sector as well as it negatively affects the society. As Rogers (2016) proclaims, Hooliganism is
soccer s greatest scourge, one that appeared to have been largely cosigned to the past but still
ready to appear, like a snake, when the conditions are right (para.12). Hooliganism causes disastrous
incidents, human losses, injuries, growing fanaticism and hatred, and destruction of properties of
the nation. In fact, most of these aspects can even affect the people in the society who are not
interested in or part of the football game. Hooliganism behaviors involve rioting, clashing
vandalism, swearing, intimidation, mocking, offensive chanting, spitting, fighting, throwing
objects, and using weaponries in fighting. Furthermore, football hooligans are known for using
flares and smoke bombs before, during, and after matches as part of their usual actions. These
behaviors are causing and have caused many distractions and threats to the football game,
especially in the European continent. For instance, one of the most recent and well known
examples of hooliganism was in last June during the European cup (Euro 2016) in France where
Russian hooligans had a huge street battle with English hooligans in Marseille city in France. The
battles have occurred before, during, and after the football match between the Russian national
team and England national team in the Euro 2016 competition at the stadium of velodrome.
According to Boffey (2016), Marseille s emergency services said 31 people were injured in the
disorder, including one middle aged man who was knocked unconscious, and one England supporter

Value. Philosophy Of Music Education Review 22, no. 1 (2014): 96 100.
This article discusses the world s need for classical music and why it will always be relevant. The
author explores what makes certain things art and why certain other things are simply
entertainment. He claims that classical music can never die because it is fundamentally different
from many other types of popular music. It defines what makes art different from entertainment and
answers the age old question of who gets to judge between them. In an age that dooms classical
music to inevitable failure, this article offers a refreshing different perspective in a much more
hopeful light.

The Inclusiveness Of The Place Dimension
3.4. Discussion (the inclusiveness of the Place dimension):
A tension has always existed in architectural theories between art, social, and rational notions. The
inception of the Bauhaus based mainly on the notion of unifying all the aspects of art under the
wing of architecture. This art driven perspective derived architectural practice to the creation of the
international style. Modernism was founded on the unity, the whole, and the progress of humanity,
as in Marxism. This was done regardless of the sensibility of social and environmental needs on the
local scale. It lost any continuation with the existing social and constructed values. Socially and
contextually correspondent architecture were the main driving forces behind the revolute
architectural theories that substituted modernism. Art always persists along architectural
movements, either as the main driving force or as a guaranteed consequent that is achieved in the
background, as is the case for the rational perspective. In the foreground or the background, it comes
with different flavors that is affected with or affects the principles of these theories. This existential
property of art can be deducted by reviewing the aforementioned architectural theories. The different
relations between the art, social, and rational motives would be comprehended better after
discovering more urban dimensions by the end of the coming chapter.
The aforementioned different types of places exhausted a fair amount of known place

lives and the success of the mission depend on it. This was not the case however, during a fight
called Operation Anaconda. The purpose of this paper is to point out what went wrong with the
lack of planning, coordination, rehearsal, and preparation between Air and ground communications,
and how it proved to be critical during Operation Anaconda. The ending results were a delayed

Major Mark Davis conducted extensive interviews on this topic with air, ground, and special
operations commanders, staff officers, and other forces that participated in Operation Anaconda. In
his research, Davis found some major problems had occurred that caused a failure in coordination
efforts. The first error Davis sighted was that the DOD failed to establish proper command
structures and relationships needed for integration among the systems (MacPherson 2005, p. 350).
This made it difficult for air and ground forces to communicate among each other when the battle
was underway. Davis also sites that U.S. Central Command Chief Franks, made a costly decision to
command the war from his office in Tampa, Florida. He was 7,000 miles and 10 time zones away
from the battle front. Chief Franks believed that rather than move himself and his unit, would speed
up the operating progress and not slow down the mission. Franks and his command relied on video
phone conferences instead of personal communications, which led to limited communications.
Another problem was that Franks gave lists of plans to be carried out rather than one battle plan.
Also, because of the large numbers of independent units that participated, it was impossible for
Franks to maintain communication presence and coordinate over this large command structure.
This ultimately left decision making in the hands of CENTCOM staff

The Various Language Skill Development
Being social animals, human beings experience an innate drive to communicate and share their
thoughts and feelings with others. The essay discusses the various language skill development
stages among the children from zero to seven years. It analyses the importance of nature and nurture
with the aid of behaviourist and nativist perspectives. In the light of the explanations by Vygotsky
and Jean Piaget, the essay attempts to discuss the role of culture, experience, maturation and

Gradually the child imitates the words from its environment. Children are more used to the words,
like mom, milk, dad, no, that are recited to them frequently. At this stage, the child associates these
words to their meanings. After the age of two, there is a tremendous exploration of vocabulary
(Clarke, 2009). Children accumulate thousands of words till the age of six. Initially they go for
replacement of difficult terms with simple ones. This is due to their struggle with complex
vocabulary. This tendency changes after six. The conventional word order, tense and grammar are
grasped during these ages. By the age of four, children would be good conversationalist. At this
stage the syntactic and semantic developments occur in children (Choice2099, 2014). Children, in
their early years, imitate sounds and words that are produced by adults. B.F. Skinner employs his
theory of behaviourism to explain this mental process (Nellie, 2013). Skinner argues that language
development like any other behaviour or habit, can be imbibed through repetition and
reinforcement. He uses the concepts of classical conditioning and operant conditioning to explain
this phenomenon. Children associates the frequently used terms with its meanings. The word

Legalizing Tattooing in South Carolina Essay
What is tattooing?
Tattooing is the art of marking the skin with indelible patterns, pictures, or legends by making
pricks and inserting colored ink. The word itself has its origins in the South Pacific. The art had
been referred to as pricking, scarring, or staining until explorer Captain James Cook encountered the
indigenous peoples of Tahiti. (Wilkinson 6)
Tattooing is not just a recent fad. Tattooing has been around for a very long time. The current first

licensed doctor, and only if the doctor believes it is necessary when performing cosmetic or

Tattoos have become increasingly popular recently according to American Academy of

situation of the 2007 2008 global financial crisis many culprits have been identified as causes, such
as loose monetary policy, credit booms, deregulation, over complexity, and greed. Since the
economic boom was solely dependent on weak policies and misconceptions, this leads me to
believe prevention was possible with adequate regulatory policy, risk assessment and clarifications
for commercial banks.

Generally homeowners were required to meet certain qualifications in order to borrow funds for
mortgages, also known as prime mortgages. Since the prime mortgage market had receded, lenders
were encouraged to lower their requirements for lending and began to allow subprime mortgages.
These less responsible homeowners began to default on their mortgages, which turned investment
bankers stream of mortgage payments into empty houses. Increases in foreclosures raise the supply
of available houses, which lowers the fair market values of houses. The prime mortgage
homeowners were left with houses that were highly devalued relative to their mortgages and began
to abandon their mortgage obligations. Mortgage lenders, investment bankers, and outside investors
froze their activities, as they faced possible bankruptcy.
Regulatory/Supervisory Inadequacies Deregulation is believed to be the underlying cause of all
economic downturns, as its scope of responsibility reaches all markets. In the 1930s the United
States experienced a bank crisis that sparked a widespread distrust in the banking system and people
withdrew their money from the depository institutions overnight. The sudden retraction of the
money supply from the economy caused many banks to close and the economy to suffer. The
Banking Act of 1933, also known as the Glass Steagall Act, was created to insure depositors

Half Dome Pros And Cons
There appears to be three different veiws on climbing to the top of the Half Dome. Half Domes
is a granite rock, 4,800 feet high and resembles a bowling ball cut into half. Half Domes is
location in Marposa Calit and until cables were installed in 1919 was considered inaccessible.
Now novice climbers can reach the top and are rewarded with aspiring views. The first view is
by the park officals. The main concern is hiker safety. The The park wants people to be able to
desens the rock in 45 minutes. They post signs telling people if a storm is imminent, however
people flout the warning signs and continue to the top. In the past, up to 1,200 hikers a day
climbed to the top and getting off the mountain was slow and difficult. In 2011 the park

The Presidential System Of Government
No matter the system of government, there will always be advantages and disadvantages to it. Not
everyone wants or expects the same same things so how can the government supply everything that
is needed and wanted by the people no matter how hard they try. Three of the systems of
government: presidential, parliamentary, and communist arouse advantages and disadvantages
within the government. Within the governmental structure of the presidential system, the executive
branch is led by the president, who is both the head of state and the government. In its existence, it
is separate from legislaturewherein it cannot dismiss. As it is separate from those rulings, the
president does not have as much power or control creating a system of checks and balances,
allowing each branch to monitor one another. It is a stable system that is kept in line as it has
fixed two year terms. The people must elect or re elect the president to have them a longer amount
of time, making his leadership and authority more legitimate as the people choose him. To appeal
to the people, political parties are formed to uphold the potential presidential candidates. These
parties are long term and established ones that are trustworthy. Throughout it all, the people have
the choice of their candidates as almost every position has a term in which a new person must be
elected or another must be elected. Public opinion constantly changes, as does their opinion on the
people they had elected into power. While

Why Fingerprint Analysis Is Used For The Sake Of Forensic...
Introduction
Friction ridge analysis, or fingerprint analysis has been used for the sake of forensic analysis for
over 100 years, and has perpetually been considered the most reliable technique of analysis.
However, in recent years, its reliability has begun to crumble due to certain standards set in the
United States of America. In this essay, fingerprintanalysis will be briefly described, along with
the framework of ACE V in which analysts work from looking primarily at its weaknesses and
criticisms. The Daubert standard will be outlined and a how a primary assumption of fingerprint
analysis violates a number of these standards. Also, to further strengthen the case as to why
fingerprint analysis should not be considered so heavily in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Every single ridge has a row of sweat pores. When sweat seeps out of these pores, it runs over the
ridges. Thus, when a finger, palm, or foot touches a surface, an impression is made which in
technical terms is known as a latent print. However, when a print is collected from a police
station directly from the source, this is known as an exemplar print (Haber and Haber, 2008;
Creswell, 2015). The science of fingerprint analysis rests on three, recently, controversial
assumptions: Firstly, the ridge patterns never change during the life of a person; secondly, no two
individuals will have the same ridge patterns; lastly, the transferability of an impression of that
uniqueness to another surface. (Gianelli, 2006). This allowed for fingerprint analysts to form a
procedure which other experts around the world are invited to use, known as ACE V.
ACE V
ACE V which is an acronym which stands for Analysis in which analysts categorise certain features
of the print. Comparison where the latent print is compared to the known print of a suspect.
Evaluation is the stage in which the examiner is expected to make an inference as to whether the
latent print matches the print of the suspect or not. Finally, the process of Verification whereby, the
analyst sends their data to another expert to confirm their inference (Lawless, 2009). While this
loose methodology has been used seemingly successfully over the years, levels of

Software Reusability
Software reusability
TERM PAPER
Software reusability is generally considered a way to solve the software development crisis.
When we solve a problem we try to apply the solution to similar problems because that makes our
work easy and simple. Now in this paper I would like to cover important aspects of software
reusability. But one thing is for sure software reusability can improve software productivity.
Software reuse has become a topic of much interest in the software community due to its potential
benefits, which include increased product quality and decreased product cost and schedule. The
most substantial benefits derive from a product line approach, where a common set of reusable
software assets act as a base for subsequent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And it s not just a technical issue; it is highly managerial in nature. As much as libraries of reusable
code and other assets are important, they will not be fully utilized without management and process
support of reuse.
Organization and Process
The classical software development process does not support reuse.[2] Reusable assets should be
designed and built in a clearly defined, open way, with concise interface specifications,
understandable documentation, and an eye towards future use. Typically, customer, client, and
contract projects are built as one time only, without reuse in mind, and tend to be tightly bound
within themselves, without the more robust open interfaces which ease the reuse process.
Therefore, in order to make the most of software reuse, the software development process must
evolve to include reuse activities.
A strong organizational foundation must exist for reuse to succeed, since domain engineering
involves a different way of looking at software products, called a product line approach. A
product line is a family of similar products addressing a particular market segment, or domain, and
provides a massive opportunity for reuse. With a reuse process in place, every

Help Me Nigga Character Analysis
In Kevin Hart s stand up comedy show titled Let Me Explain Witness the Rise of A Legend,
Kevin Hart goes on a comedic rant about the changes he went thru doing his marriage and before,
during and after his divorce that led him to become the person he is today. One comedy bit that
stood out to me the most was entitled Help Me Nigga. Kevin begins this bit by stating that cheating
was the reason why his marriagefailed, but immediately after stating this turns around and states
that is was actually lying about cheating that was the reason why his marriage didn t last. He
proceeds to give examples of the many times that he lied about when he was cheating even

According to the article Emotional Detachment in Relationships, by Michael Schreiner, emotional
detachment is more common among males than women where a man tends to shut down, stop
talking and distance himself when there is a difficult conflict situation going on with no resolution
in sight. One way to get through this emotional detachment is to not poke or prod your partner to
force them to become emotionally attached, but rather give them some space and time to let things
calm down. Poking and prodding has been found to have an adverse effect on what you are trying
to accomplish. Physical disconnect ranks high as one of the reasons why relationships fail as well.
Your significant other is sexually dissatisfied and instead of dealing with the issue with their mate,
they are tempted to wander and go outside the relationship to satisfy those urges. One solution to
conquer and overcome this issue is to establish an open line of communication so that your partner
can be aware of your wants and desires and hopefully help in fulfilling them for you.
In addition, relationships often fail because either one or both partners are not being honest with
themselves, their mate or with the relationship as a whole. A lot of times people get involved with
one another and assume that what they want and desire out of a relationship is the same thing that
their partner wants as well. This could be anything from wanting to be in a monogamous
relationship and not knowing that the

Essay on Censoring Internet Pornography
Introduction
Pornography engages people on many levels. Some people enjoy pornography while others
believe that the world would be best without it. Some would think that a song like It s Nice to be
Nude is a cute song that is celebrating the joys of the human body. Others may think that it is
obscene and not worth listening to.
Pornography is highly subjective in respect to what it is, how it is defined, and its merits. The
intent of this paper is to discuss pornography in a historical context and how it affects librarians in
regards to its presence on the Internet.

From drawings on cave walls7 to HBOs Sex and the City the depiction of sex appears to be one of
the threads that ties the centuries together. Montgomery Hyde, while exploring the roots of Western
pornography, found that even in the Bible there is an abundance of material in the Old Testament
on the subject of pornography in its original sense of writing about prostitutes and their patrons, as
there are also references which are certainly obscene if not pornographic in the wider sense as it is
generally understood today. 8
In early Greece, representations of men and women enjoying various forms of sexual intercourse
were even depicted on the bottoms of children s drinking bowls and plates, so that they could have
something amusing to look at when they were having their meals. 9 About the time of the birth of
Christ, Ovid wrote for a Roman audience Ars Amorato ? a work if not pornographic in the strictest
sense, at least highly erotic. 10
The pornographic tradition continued in Western culture with works such as the Decameron, The
Canterbury Tales in England, and the Heptameron in France. 11 Fascination with the bawdy is also
the basis for many a literary classic. Much of Shakespeare s writing, for example, is of uninhibited
ribaldries and obscenities. 12 The depiction of the naked, sexual human form is also found
throughout the art world.13 Indeed, walk into virtually any museum, art

History Of The Watergate Scandal
Throughout history, the American people have had a hard time instilling trust in their government
and political leaders. Between the numerous scandals involving United States presidents and other
political leaders and the dozens of conspiracy theories encompassing the United States government,
it is no wonder why the American people have lost trust in their government, and why the United
States has become the laughing stock of foreign countries. The 2016 presidential election was
arguably the most controversial election in American history; many voters felt that neither of the
candidates could be trusted due to their questionable actions. Numerous Americans were outraged
when current U.S. president, Donald J. Trump, was sworn into office; due... Show more content on

political views and fondness of conspiracy theories, Flynn was no stranger to controversy. In a

security adviser (SCHMIDLE, NICHOLAS). The Washington Post publicized that Flynn, who was
still a private citizen at the time, had talked about American sanctions against Russia with Sergey
Kislyak, the Russian Ambassador while he was in Washington. This scandal was revealed when
Flynn was only three weeks into his new job as Trump s national security adviser. The
conversations were between the two were thought to be illegal. The Obama Administration declared
the removal of 35 Russian diplomats in retaliation for Russia s attempts to swing the election in
Trump s favor; ironically, Flynn and Kislyak s communications, by phone calls and text messaging,
happened on the same day (SCHMIDLE, NICHOLAS). Flynn had denied talking about sanctions

Plea Bargaining Argumentative Analysis
Plea bargaining is an arrangement between a prosecutor and defendant, whereby the defendant
pleads guilty to a charge in order to be given a less severe punishment (Merriam Webster, 2016).
There are two main reasons why plea bargaining continues to play a role in the justice system; it
claims to increase certainty and save the time and expenses of a criminal trial. Although plea
bargaining has been proven to be effectual, there are many negative effects of plea bargaining.
It is morally and ethically wrong because the option of negotiating a crime that should be
punishable to the full extent of the law is unconstitutional.
It also does not provide benefits for individuals who are innocent.
Plea bargaining also does not provide justice to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Plea bargains compromise justice by allowing the guilty to receive minimal sentences for
heinous crimes and instills fear in the innocent. The implication that crimes are tolerable causes
criminals to only be held responsible for a small portion of the crime. Karla Homolka and Paul
Bernardo, known as the Ken and Barbie killers , raped numerous teenage girls in the
Scarborough area from 1987 to 1995 when they were finally convicted. These two individuals
remain one of the most notorious killers in Canada s history because of their unjustifiable
murders to three young women, including Homolka s own little sister. Paul Bernardo, often
referred to as the Scarborough Rapist , began raping women in the Scarborough area
(MacQuarrie 239). When Homolka and Paul met each other, she encouraged his sexual fantasies
and played a major role in the raping and murders of three teenage girls; Tammy Homolka, 15,
Leslie Mahaffy, 14, and Kristen French, 15 (Mellor 312 318). In 1990, Homolka and Bernardo
took the life of Karla s fifteen year old sister, Tammy Homolka. Karla wanted to give Tammy s,
her younger sisters, virginity to Paul for Christmas, hence, they caused her to be highly intoxicated
and slipped valium into her drink. Subsequently, they vaginally and anally raped her for about a
minute until she began to vomit. Tammy choked on her own vomit and died as a result of this

Internet Protocol Is The Primary Protocol
1.Introduction:
Internet Protocol is the primary protocol in the internet layer of the OSI networking model. IP s
job is to deliver packets from a source computer to a destination computer. As of May 2015, about
97% of web traffic uses IPv4. IPv6 is a 128 bit address. IPV6 is the standard fundamental
infrastructure to the internet addressing. It helps us to simplify the transition from ipv4 to ipv6.
Mainly ipv6 helps us in TCPIP networking and addressing architecture.
The present variant of the Internet convention (IP) is getting to be old as a result of its constrained
location space, absence of required usefulness and insufficient security highlights. The upcoming
era of IP, called IPv6, has now been institutionalized and will convey TCP/IP systems and
applications well into the following century. (Stallings.w , 1996).
Yes I agreed that IPv6 is implemented in the contemporary world. Still some researches and
improvements are going on to fix the problems. In the coming generation we replace IPv4
completely. IPv6 have more advantages then IPv4 protocol. The world needs more public IP s in
the future, IPv4 can t solve this issue. IPv6 is 128bit address which has enough addresses that next
generation works.
What is IPv6: According to (Vangie Beal, 2014) IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) is additionally
called IPNG (Internet Protocol Next Generation) and it is the newest form of the Internet Protocol
(IP) IETF standards committee to replace the present version IPv4.

The Negative Effects Of Humanitarian Intervention
The basic principle of common morality states that humans have rights not as member of particular
community, but as members of human community and there is a common moral world (Rashid,
2012). Human rights are shared universally but what happens when these human rights are
violated? When is the right time to intervene when someone is being harassed in the street?
Humanitarian intervention should occur then the targeted group s violation is violated to an extent
where they can no longer defend themselves. Humanitarian intervention may be seen as inefficient
and ineffective due to the time it takes to occur, and the bias that comes from the intervention,
however humanitarian intervention is necessary to monitor on a state s treatment towards it s
citizens and it saves the lives of the people in a state. Although humanitarian intervention faces a lot
of criticism, it is important to note that what may happen with or without intervention when a
country faces problems. The positive effects of humanitarian intervention would be that a new
understanding of sovereigntywould exits (Krylov, 1995). What can be taken from this is that
sovereignty is not absolute. In Allen Buchanan s article, humanitarian intervention is often defined
as an infraction of the sovereignty of the state because of other states trying to protect human rights
(Buchanan, 1999). This is often considered a problem of moralitybecause intervention of a state is
viewed negatively. It is important to determine

Army Organizational Life Cycle Model
Identify and Explain the Purpose and Actions of any Four Phases of the Army Organizational Life
Cycle Model The Army s Organizational Life Cycle Model contains eight phases (U.S. Army War
College, 2015 2016). This paper identifies and explains four of those phases, acquisition, training,
distribution, and deployment. The process the U.S. Army utilizes to fill the units they design with
personnel to fight and win the nation s wars, equipment to own the air and the night, money to put
fuel into the vehicles and bullets in the weapons, and facilities to house the soldiers and their
families in is the Acquisition process. The army cannot continue without new soldiers to fill its
ranks or weapons and bullets to destroy the enemy, this phase is the building block for the Army
Organizational Life Cycle Model and helps dictate training and the rest of the model forward.
Noncommissioned Offices conduct training, but without the training carried out at the entry level
schools for enlisted soldiers and officers certifying soldiers are trained in their programmed skills,
the army of today would not function (U.S. Army War College, 2015 2016). This initial training is
the training phase within the Army Organizational Life Cycle Model, and it feeds the distribution
phase. The distribution phase allocates the trained and skilled soldiers from their training phase to
their units where they are needed. This is similar to how WalmartВ® sends its customers the things

  • 2. The Scaled Quail By Rebecca Robertson The Scaled Quail By Rebecca Robertson 3/2/17 Appearance: This bird has a striking appearance of a series of round feathers that adorn the bird s body, giving it the illusion of having scales. Their legs are built to run and evade predators, as the grasslands themselves are open with not a lot of trees or logs to hide. Their wingspan averages 14 15 inches. Classified Name: Callipepla squamata Other Names: This bird is found in several other states such as Texas, Kansas, and New Mexico to name a few. Therefore, this bird goes by other names as well, with popular ones such as cotton top ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They will primarily eat seeds and plants, so they affect the amount of seeds in the area. If they were to decrease in size, the number of insects and grain would rise. Because they are prey, they must take advantage of the tall grasses to hide from predators such as raccoons, coyotes, foxes, and even other birds of prey that include some eagles and falcons. Consumer Type: Scaled Quails largely live off of seeds and plants such as roots and weeds. They also eat lots of seeds and some grains. With their diet of both plants and insects, they are an omnivore. They are a forager for greens (grasses, roots and weeds) as it supports them. Range: This type of quail likes desert like environments, so they take to the states of Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico, states all known for their grasslands and dry climates. Types of Symbiotic Relationships Service Mutualism: The scaled quail has many relationships, ranging from it s diet to environment. The scaled quail will take the seeds and other plants it finds to survive. In turn, the bird will help spread the seeds, allowing opportunity for new growth for the plant. Overall, this in itself is a mutualistic relationship, as the birds gets a means of food and helps the plant by spreading its seeds. Since it helps the plant transport it s seeds, it belongs in the category of service mutualism. The scaled quail will use any available cover it runs across. Thus, a ... • 3. Advantages Of Apparel Industry TheoryDuring 1980s, most global firms focused on quality management in product design and internal process improvement in order to achieve competitive advantage. Today, the spotlight shines on transferring value to customers instead (Mentzer Williams 2001). Therefore, logistics has turned to be the primary marketing instrument for increasing and sustaining competitive excellence. While comparing to the past, logisticswas only taken as a function regarding the higher productivity objective (Hutt Speh 2011). According to the study of Mentzer Williams (2001), the approach to have sustainable competitive advantage may not just adhere to only 4 factors of marketing mix: product, price, place and promotion, but companies... Natural fibers such as wool and cotton can be provided by various types of firms, but plenty of low cost suppliers from Asia are the important competitors. Textile mills take the next responsibility, their duties are spinning fiber into yarn, knitting and weaving operations and mostly they are fragmented to SMEs (Small and medium sized enterprises). After being transformed by textile mills, the fabrics are distributed to apparel manufacturers in order to produce the finished products and they are sold either directly or through wholesalers, to a variety of retail stores (Kumar 2005). For the complex supply chain activities in apparel industry which is mentioned above, it is vital to foster the logistics efficiency to be adaptive, flexible and built upon dependable and predictable supply and demand planning model (Gilbert Malmassari 2015). Hence, marketing teams in apparel companies are able to perform their tasks in the precise approach by measuring market share and profitability through popular measurements such as marketing effectiveness and competitive advantage (Mentzer Williams ... • 4. Mark Hamill Accomplishments Before I mentioned that Mark Hamill hasn t had many major on screen roles but he has had a very successful career as a voice actor and is mainly famous for voicing the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and Batman: Arkham video game series. He has been voicing the Joker for 18 years in nearly every project, as fans get grumpy when somebody else is cast in his stead. (Forbes.com, 2015). He is adored by fans as the quote by Forbes states, people want him that much that they are ready to get in touch with the producers of the project and voice their concern as the feel that Mark Hamill is the only person capable of performing the role of the Jokerto the standard they want. This strengthens the argument for him being a cult star as there... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mark Hamill is a cult star because of whom he played in Star Wars. By playing Luke Skywalker he made his career but at the same time ruined it because everyone knew who he was and he was known worldwide but not the actor he is. Instead of gaining his own identity of Mark Hamill, the actor, he was tied to the identity Luke Skywalker for a few different reasons such as facial scars and not having many other on screen roles compared to his co stars. This directly impacted him in a few roles because people didn t want Luke Skywalker in their film. He is a cult star because he has a loyal fan base for both Star Wars and the Animated BatmanSeries as the voice of the Joker. He is classed as a cult star because of the voice acting, just because it isn t a on screen role doesn t mean he cant be cult because of it. He has a loyal fan base that loves his voice acting skills and don t want him to pass the mantle to another voice actor because he is one of the best Joker voices. Also known as specters, ghosts continue existing even after the heart stops and the corpse is cold, and they fall under the category of paranormal phenomena. When something is considered paranormal, it simply means that science has no explanation for it. So if science can t explain it, it can t be real, right? Not necessarily. It just means that it hasn t been proven a fact, it s all in theory. It wasn t until 1820, when John Bell died, that the events began to die down, but even to this day the Bell family descendents say that mysterious things happen inside the old home. There have even been reports of ghosts of historical figures as well. One of the most frequently reported dates back to the 16th century. Mother of Queen Elizabeth I and wife to King Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn was executed at the Tower of London in 1536 after being accused of witchcraft, treason, adultery and incest. There have been sightings of the woman s ghost reported at the tower and other locations such as her home, Hever Castle in Kent. (History.com) Then there s the White House in the United States. Considered to be perhaps the most haunted house in America, there has been several reported phenomenons, many of them believed to be sightings of past presidents of the United States. Mary Todd Lincoln, wife of Abraham Lincoln, believed strongly in the occult and often held seances in order to communicate with her sons. She had told friends she had heard former president Andrew Jackson stomping and swearing through the halls of the presidential residence. Health Disparities Case Study Health Disparities are unjust and unequal quality of health or health care outcomes which most often occurs as a result of margin in educational level, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and demographics. Indeed, equality in health care is far from perfect in America, there are a number of socio ecological factors educational level, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and demographics which commonly cause disparities between the healthcare qualities of different peoples, nations, cultures, and other classifications. • 7. Analysis Of The Article Reinventing The Veil The role of the veil in Persepolis One of the most controversial topics concerning Muslim women s rights is the idea of the veil. It is believed by some Muslims that the veil is an Islamic obligation that all Muslim women must adhere to. But nowadays, the veil can have different meanings that are not necessarily religious. In her article Reinventing the Veil, Leila Ahmed addresses some of the different meanings that the veil can have. Marjane Satrapi explores one of those meanings in her animated autobiography Persepolis (2008). In Persepolis, Marjane tells the story of her rebellion against the Iranian Islamist regime that takes over Iran, oppresses women, and forces them to wear the veil. What was interesting to me was seeing Marjane wear the veil without being oppressed, although she does not believe in it, and is being forced to wear it. In Persepolis, Marjane Satrapi escapes being a subject to the Iranian Islamist ideology by establishing her individual identity through transforming the veil from a means of oppression into a means of feminist rebellion. In an interview conducted by MovieWeb, Marjane notes that the film isn t political, historical or sociological. The film simply holds a humanistic message that says that human beings anywhere is the same, and they have the right to live (Satrapi.) This humanistic message is what we see Marjane fighting for in the film. She is striving to live a normal life, and one of the things that help her do that is the veil. She ... In one specific instance, Diego had just learned the phrase, what the heck and was using it to everyone, excluding me. Throughout my time with him, I would ask, Why are you so kind to me? • 11. Ionian Revolt Threat affects the dependent variable of state behavior. Walt states that powers will either balance or bandwagon against another state. If a weak state is on good terms with a powerful state, the weak state will be unlikely to balance against the stronger state. Furthermore, the weaker state is likely to benefit from the alliance because of added security. However, if the weaker stateperceives the stronger state as a threat, then the weaker state will balance against the strong state in order to protect itself. Additionally, if the state is not a good terms with the rival state, it is unable to bandwagon and will therefore engage in balancing. Balancing can be broken up into internal and external parts. Within Ionia, they had a history of tension with the Persians. Since Persia had enacted tyrants over the Greek city states, they already disliked them and were ready to rebel. This reason may have been a cause of the Ionian Revolt, which Walt did not account for. Notwithstanding this criticism, the balance of threat theory provides the best explanation for the revolt. It is able to explain the initial attempt at bandwagoning and the final decision to balance. The theory is able to account for aggregate power, geographical proximity, offensive capabilities, and offensive intent. This allows more than just two factors to influence how a state will react. Another strength of Walt s theory is focusing on the threat rather than the power. Even if a state has great power, a rival state may not react to it if it does not possess a threat. Vice versa, a state with small power, but a great threat, may cause the rival state to react by balancing or bandwagoning. • 14. Similarities In The Opposition. Ideas Do Not Prove Their Similarities in the Opposition Ideas do not prove their value until they withstand the challenge of being questioned. On the surface, professor Craig Martin and anthropologist Clifford Geertz approach analyzing religion with opposing views. Martin dismisses definitions of religion claiming that no definition can encompass the practical use of the word and instead provides a step by step approach to explaining beliefs and actions in the perspective of a methodological atheist. Geertz, however, provides a working definition broken into a five part model to make it a useful tool. Upon further analysis of these two methods, the once contradicting ideas begin to work in unison with each other. Martin s functionalist approach and the definition... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Martin discusses the uses of the hermeneutics of suspicion for his second step in his approach. He believes it is important to remain suspicious of the cultural element being examined and presume it is false. Geertz, in the second part of his definition, states that a system of symbols acts to establish powerful, pervasive and long lasting moods and motivations in men (Geertz, 1993). This statement is in agreeance with the suspicious mindset provided by Martin, as Geertz also does not confirm any religious beliefs to be true. He uses the word acts to show that the cultural elements function in a specific way, not to prove their factual accuracy. His definition demonstrates the unity of individual components in a culture and how they function. Both methods do not approach religion with yes or no questions but rather seek the answer to why it functions in particular ways and how it continues to exist. In life, there are questions that have answers unable to be proven with facts of science, which leaves a lot of room up for interpretation. As previously stated, neither Martin nor Geertz tries to prove religious facts but rather explains them in terms of how they function in the practical world. Martin s last step in the methodological atheist approach is to provide a functionalist explanation as to why the cultural element persists in societies. In investigating this function, Martin must analyze all parts of Geertz s definition. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The projected was started through United States concern that the Germans were developing a similar weapon. It was kept a well guarded secret and when it was used for the first time on a city caused a horrible shock. The decision to use the bomb was not made lightly and had many different reasons behind it. It was made especially hard after seeing the actual destruction it could cause because unveiling the technology would lead to others wanting to replicate it. In the end though it was used on Japan and though it caused less damage than previous air raids it lead to their surrender. Dickinson began attending Amherst Academy with her sister in 1840 and graduated in 1847. After graduating, she began Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in South Hadley. While she attended Mount Holyoke, she started a pattern that would continue through out her life (Brand 15). She would attach herself to an older man and confide in him. Sending frequent letters and poems was how she communicated with him; Dickinson referred to whoever this man was at the time in her life as master or preceptor . Benjamin Newton, one of her father s law students, visited the Dickinson home frequently. He and Dickinson met through this habit of his and he became her first master . Benjamin influenced Dickinson s writing greatly; he introduced her to Ralph Waldo Emerson and encouraged her to write. After only a year at Mount Holyoke, she left the school. Approximately 153,000 flight personnel were trained out of a total of 239,761 that were engaged in British and Commonwealth flying operations, a pivotal choice in gaining air superiority victory over the sky would never have happened so quickly without Canada s involvement. The RCAF famously worked with the RCN throughout the Battle of Britain, the attempt by the German war machine to destroy Britain s Royal Air Force (RAF) and prepare for invasion after already conquering most of Europe, including France, which was one of Canada s first campaigns during the first nine months or so of war. As Rogers (2016) proclaims, Hooliganism is soccer s greatest scourge, one that appeared to have been largely cosigned to the past but still ready to appear, like a snake, when the conditions are right (para.12). Hooliganism causes disastrous incidents, human losses, injuries, growing fanaticism and hatred, and destruction of properties of the nation. In fact, most of these aspects can even affect the people in the society who are not interested in or part of the football game. Hooliganism behaviors involve rioting, clashing vandalism, swearing, intimidation, mocking, offensive chanting, spitting, fighting, throwing objects, and using weaponries in fighting. • 30. The Inclusiveness Of The Place Dimension 3.4. Discussion (the inclusiveness of the Place dimension): A tension has always existed in architectural theories between art, social, and rational notions. The inception of the Bauhaus based mainly on the notion of unifying all the aspects of art under the wing of architecture. This art driven perspective derived architectural practice to the creation of the international style. Modernism was founded on the unity, the whole, and the progress of humanity, as in Marxism. This was done regardless of the sensibility of social and environmental needs on the local scale. It lost any continuation with the existing social and constructed values. Socially and contextually correspondent architecture were the main driving forces behind the revolute architectural theories that substituted modernism. Art always persists along architectural movements, either as the main driving force or as a guaranteed consequent that is achieved in the background, as is the case for the rational perspective. In the foreground or the background, it comes with different flavors that is affected with or affects the principles of these theories. This existential property of art can be deducted by reviewing the aforementioned architectural theories. Major Mark Davis conducted extensive interviews on this topic with air, ground, and special operations commanders, staff officers, and other forces that participated in Operation Anaconda. In his research, Davis found some major problems had occurred that caused a failure in coordination efforts. The first error Davis sighted was that the DOD failed to establish proper command structures and relationships needed for integration among the systems (MacPherson 2005, p. 350). This made it difficult for air and ground forces to communicate among each other when the battle was underway. Davis also sites that U.S. Central Command Chief Franks, made a costly decision to command the war from his office in Tampa, Florida. He was 7,000 miles and 10 time zones away from the battle front. Chief Franks believed that rather than move himself and his unit, would speed up the operating progress and not slow down the mission. Franks and his command relied on video phone conferences instead of personal communications, which led to limited communications. Another problem was that Franks gave lists of plans to be carried out rather than one battle plan. Also, because of the large numbers of independent units that participated, it was impossible for Franks to maintain communication presence and coordinate over this large command structure. Tattooing is the art of marking the skin with indelible patterns, pictures, or legends by making pricks and inserting colored ink. The word itself has its origins in the South Pacific. Throughout United States history there have been multiple economic booms that were underestimated and followed by recessions. In the situation of the 2007 2008 global financial crisis many culprits have been identified as causes, such as loose monetary policy, credit booms, deregulation, over complexity, and greed. Since the prime mortgage market had receded, lenders were encouraged to lower their requirements for lending and began to allow subprime mortgages. Increases in foreclosures raise the supply of available houses, which lowers the fair market values of houses. The prime mortgage homeowners were left with houses that were highly devalued relative to their mortgages and began to abandon their mortgage obligations. Within the governmental structure of the presidential system, the executive branch is led by the president, who is both the head of state and the government. In this essay, fingerprintanalysis will be briefly described, along with the framework of ACE V in which analysts work from looking primarily at its weaknesses and criticisms. When sweat seeps out of these pores, it runs over the ridges. Thus, when a finger, palm, or foot touches a surface, an impression is made which in technical terms is known as a latent print. However, when a print is collected from a police station directly from the source, this is known as an exemplar print (Haber and Haber, 2008; Creswell, 2015). The science of fingerprint analysis rests on three, recently, controversial assumptions: Firstly, the ridge patterns never change during the life of a person; secondly, no two individuals will have the same ridge patterns; lastly, the transferability of an impression of that uniqueness to another surface. (Gianelli, 2006). This allowed for fingerprint analysts to form a procedure which other experts around the world are invited to use, known as ACE V. ACE V ACE V which is an acronym which stands for Analysis in which analysts categorise certain features of the print. Comparison where the latent print is compared to the known print of a suspect. And it s not just a technical issue; it is highly managerial in nature. As much as libraries of reusable code and other assets are important, they will not be fully utilized without management and process support of reuse. Organization and Process The classical software development process does not support reuse.[2] Reusable assets should be designed and built in a clearly defined, open way, with concise interface specifications, understandable documentation, and an eye towards future use. Typically, customer, client, and contract projects are built as one time only, without reuse in mind, and tend to be tightly bound within themselves, without the more robust open interfaces which ease the reuse process. Therefore, in order to make the most of software reuse, the software development process must evolve to include reuse activities. A strong organizational foundation must exist for reuse to succeed, since domain engineering involves a different way of looking at software products, called a product line approach. A product line is a family of similar products addressing a particular market segment, or domain, and provides a massive opportunity for reuse. With a reuse process in place, every ... According to the article Emotional Detachment in Relationships, by Michael Schreiner, emotional detachment is more common among males than women where a man tends to shut down, stop talking and distance himself when there is a difficult conflict situation going on with no resolution in sight. One way to get through this emotional detachment is to not poke or prod your partner to force them to become emotionally attached, but rather give them some space and time to let things calm down. Poking and prodding has been found to have an adverse effect on what you are trying to accomplish. Physical disconnect ranks high as one of the reasons why relationships fail as well. Your significant other is sexually dissatisfied and instead of dealing with the issue with their mate, they are tempted to wander and go outside the relationship to satisfy those urges. One solution to conquer and overcome this issue is to establish an open line of communication so that your partner can be aware of your wants and desires and hopefully help in fulfilling them for you. In addition, relationships often fail because either one or both partners are not being honest with themselves, their mate or with the relationship as a whole.
