capabilities to solve reliability problems and have reduced cost challenges. The use of hybrid
electricity gen eration/storage technologies as off grid stand alone systems is reasonable to
overcome related shortcomings. Solar and wind energy are two rapidly emerging renewable ones
that have precedence in comparison to the other kinds. In this regard, the present paper studies
four specific locations in Iran, which are candidates for research centers. Based on the solar
radiation and average wind speed maps, techno economically optimized systems are designed by
simulating behavior of various combinations of renewable energy systems with different sizing,
including wind turbine (WT), photovoltaic (PV), fuel cell (FC), and battery banks. According to
the results obtained by a computer program, it is concluded that the hybrid systems including WT
and PV with battery backup are less costly compared to the other systems. Moreover, we found
that among non hybrid systems, in most regions of Iran s territory PVs are more economical than
WTs. Despite of its advantages, FC has not been applied in the optimal systems due to its high initial

A Brief Biography of Lord Byron Essay
Lord Byron Biography
Since the dawn of humanity, many individuals significantly impacted the world. These scholarly
impacts pertain to categories such as science, mathematics, literature, politics, music, and athletics.
However, of all things, literature has the most powerful influence on the global society. The
achievements of literature are known to strike deeper into the hearts of people than any other
intellectual creation of man. In fact, many of the most compelling works of literature come from
George Gordon Byron (The sixth Lord Byron) , who is considered one of the most instrumental
Romantic Writers of all time and in his era was incredibly renowned for his dramatic, lyrical, and
narrative works. He is famous for writing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
George Gordon Byron was born on January 22, 1788 ( Lord Byron Biography ). He suffered
from burdensome birth defects, including a clubbed right foot and an injured Achilles tendon.
Forced to walk on the balls of his feet, Byron was challenged in his movements for the entire
duration of his life (Minser). His physical limitations ultimately shaped his determined character.
Byron was conceived from the conjoinment two aristocratic families. His father, Captain John
Mad Jack Byron was a descendent of William the Conqueror. George Byron s mother, Catherine
Gordon of Gright , was a short tempered and bluntly spoken heiress who enjoyed boasting about
her direct ancestry to King James I of Scotland ( Lord Byron (George Gordon) ). John Byron and
Catherine Gordon did not get along due to conflicting views on personal finance. John favored
accumulating a good number of debts to appear upper class, as opposed to Catherine, who
preferred to spend within the means of the family s income. As a result, later down the road John
Byron abandoned his wife and young George to escape creditors and perished in 1791
(Valenciennes, France), when his son was merely three years of age (Minser). Subsequently to the
fact that John had wasted away the Gordon

Special Populations Paper
Special Populations Page 2
There were several special populations that I found to be interesting. These populations include
children with learning disabilities, overweight children, childhood diabetes, people with illnesses
due to nervous system disorders, and abused women. After carefully looking at all these different
topics I decided on people with illnesses due to nervous system disorders.
All the populations listed above have affected my life in one way or another. There is only one that
I have to live with on a daily bases. I have an illness due to a nervous system disorder. Day by day I
have to live with the effects o multiple sclerosis. The interest in this area comes from me wanting to

These organizations that the case manager could recommend include the following: MSFriends,
MSWorld, Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and the
National Multiple Sclerosis Society. All these organizations could be helpful to the client.
There are several limitations that come to mind when thinking about dealing with clients with
multiple sclerosis. With me having multiple sclerosis I am more empathic with others that have the
same illness. Since I feel this way many times people will take advantage of me. Another limitation
is that my mind may not always be in the right place. When I say this I mean sometimes I could be
having a bad day and not meaning to I could gibe the impression to the client that I do not care
about what is happening with them. My main strength when it comes to dealing with this population
is my knowledge about the illness. Having first hand knowledge as to what a person can expect and
explaining this to them is very helpful. The main way I would use my strength to overcome my
limitations is by remembering that knowledge is the most important thing when it comes to having
multiple sclerosis. Being compassionate is important but having that knowledge can mean life or
death.
With multiple sclerosis I do not think there would be any multicultural issues to consider. This is
an illness that does not see color or culture. Anyone can get this illness; just if you do you

Chapter 25 the Grapes of Wrath
THE SPRING IS BEAUTIFUL in California. Valleys in which the fruit blossoms are fragrant
pink and white waters in a shallow sea. Then the first tendrils of the grapes swelling from the old
gnarled vines, cascade down to cover the trunks. The full green hills are round and soft as breasts.
And on the level vegetable lands are the mile long rows of pale green lettuce and the spindly little
cauliflowers, the gray green unearthly artichoke plants.
And then the leaves break out on the trees, and the petals drop from the fruit trees and carpet the
earth with pink and white. The centers of the blossoms swell and grow and color: cherries and
apples, peaches and pears, figs which close the flower in the fruit. All California ... Show more

The meat turns dark and the crop shrivels on the ground.
And the pears grow yellow and soft. Five dollars a ton. Five dollars for forty fiftypound boxes;
trees pruned and sprayed, orchards cultivated pick the fruit, put it in boxes, load the trucks, deliver
the fruit to the cannery forty boxes for five dollars. We can t do it. And the yellow fruit falls
heavily to the ground and splashes on the ground.
The yellowjackets dig into the soft meat, and there is a smell of ferment and rot.
Then the grapes we can t make good wine. People can t buy good wine. Rip the grapes from the
vines, good grapes, rotten grapes, wasp stung grapes. Press stems, press dirt and rot.
But there s mildew and formic acid in the vats.
Add sulphur and tannic acid.
The smell from the ferment is not the rich odor of wine, but the smell of decay and chemicals. Oh,
well. It has alcohol in it, anyway. They can get drunk.
The little farmers watched debt creep up on them like the tide. They sprayed the trees and sold no
crop, they pruned and grafted and could not pick the crop. And the men of knowledge have
worked, have considered, and the fruit is rotting on the ground, and the decaying mash in the wine
vat is poisoning the air. And taste the wine no grapeflavor at all, just sulphur and tannic acid and
alcohol.

Research Paper On Afghanistan
Location (Afghanistan) I have spent over five years in Afghanistan, and for that reason, I have
chosen Afghanistan as my country of study. Afghanistan is a country that has been ravaged by
invaders and war as far back as the 4th century B.C. by Alexander the Great. Why, some might
ask? It is simple, its geographical location, in which, it could serve as a major logistics hub for
most of Asia.
Where is Afghanistan located? As stated above, Afghanistan is located in Southern Asia. Its
coordinates in latitude and longitude are, 33 00 N by 65 00 E (1).
How far away from home is it? I have made the trip to Afghanistan three times, and it always
seemed so far away; however, according to google maps, it is 6,711 from Seattle, Washington to
Kabul. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Generally, they have not fled the country regardless of the wars, and have often came together to
get rid of the occupying forces.
Regions
What language(s) do people speak? According to the CIA World Factbook, Afghans speak the
following: Dari, which is the official language, Pashto, and Turkic languages (primarily Uzbek and
Turkmen). Additionally, they speak over 30 minor languages (1).
What are the political divisions of the country (states, provinces, republics)? Afghanistan is
comprised of 24 provinces, with Kabul being the capital. They have a political system similar to
that of the United States; however, they still have many laws that are based in Islamic customs.
How is the country similar to any of its neighbors? By and large, Afghanistan s neighbors share a
similar climate and religious background; however, some may say that is the extent of their
similarities and relationships. As stated before, this is due to the geographical location of the
country and importance to establish key logistical routes from the Arabian Sea, India, and other
countries to the Northern parts of

Mildred Pierce
Mildred Pierce is a woman that s tied down by the social norms of the 30s where women have to
be attached to a man in order to be anything or have anything. Women at the time don t really have
a chance in the workplace. They were expected to be housewives and attended their husbands wants
and needs and take care of the familywhile the men did all the work and provided for the family. It
was a rare occurrence to see a womanworking because that meant she was either single, divorced,
widowed, or were abandoned by their husband. Mildred was a married woman that had an
unemployed cheating husband. Whom she kicked out and was left alone to support her two
children on her own. As the story progresses, we see the approaches that Mildred takes in order
to find a way to either get money or make herself financially stable. As advised by her neighbor
Mildred first tries to find a suitable suitor that may help her become financially stable. During that
time if women couldn t find a job there first option was to find a husband and remarry in order to
help them be financially stable. Then when the plan with Wally the suitor she originally had in
mind fails. She finally decided to go job hunting, but unfortunately during the depression jobs were
little to none. During these times it was extremely hard for families to make ends meet. Men had...

The Shifting Narratee in The Turn of the Screw Essay
The Shifting Narratee in The Turn of the Screw
In the essay Introduction to the Study of the Narratee, Gerald Prince discusses the interpretative
value of thinking about to whom a narrative is addressed. First, he establishes what a zero degree
narratee (or possessor of a minimum number of specific narratee characteristics identified by
Prince) is and is not: A narratee is not the actual reader, the implied reader, or the ideal reader. The
narratee is beholden to the narrator, because, Without the assistance of the narrator, without his
explanations and the information supplied by him, the narratee is able neither to interpret the value
of an action or to grasp its repercussions (Prince 11). With this definition... Show more content on

Douglas plays a key role since he is the caretaker of her written record and of, apparently, their
long dead mutual affection. Though at a party full of people who are somewhat interested in the
story, Douglas is addressing only one person, the narratee, who happens to be a character in the
story.
As Douglas s narratee, I fulfills some of Prince s delineated narratee functions: He has roughly the
same intellectual capabilities, is in tune with the nuances of Douglas s prepatory remarks, and
seems to be the intended recipient of the story at the Christmas party. Douglas appeals to I to fully
understand the emotional impact of the story. I recalls, It was to me in particular that he appeared
to propound this appeared almost to appeal for aid not to hesitate, an appeal to which I willingly
responds, The others resented postponement, but it was just his scruples that charmed me (2).
But if Douglas narrates to I, to whom is I speaking? This narratee is more elusive. The fictive
listener of I s story must be someone who is intrigued by unnatural events and must be able to
look beyond the surface of the story at the moral or psychological subtext that I is interested in.
Both Douglas and I are trying to say more with less, in varying

Formulas Vs Calorimetry
Matter can take on different changes physically and chemically, for an example of a physical
change is when water freezes into ice, there is no chemical change to the water but a physical
change the ice is just water molecules made of hydrogen and oxygen packed tightly together. But,
another physical change would be bending iron metal, the iron is still the same chemically whether
it is made into I beams, or pressed into shapes to make the body of a car; the shape may change but
it never changes chemically. In addition, a chemical change is the results in one or more substances
that make up an entirely different composition from the original substances. The compounds and
/ or elements at the start of the chemical reactionare rearranged into a new product of compounds
or elements. Also a chemical reaction alters the composition of the original matter, different
elements or compounds are present at the end of the chemical change. Although an example of a
chemical reaction is the process of rusting, you start with Iron mixed with air and water you get a
different compound. Along with chemical changes the Law of Conservation of Mass plays a part
in it too. The Law of Conservation of Mass (or Matter)... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The molecule formula is the actual number of atoms in that molecule. The molecular formula tells
you the number of atoms of each element that is present in the chemical reaction. Also, the
molecular formula is an expression of the number and type of atoms that are present in a single
molecule of a substance. Also, the empirical formula tells you what people have observed and is
also the ratio of the elements in a molecular formula. Furthermore if you can divide all the number
in a molecular formula by the some value to simplify them, then the empirical or simple formula
will be different from the molecular formula. In some chemical formulas you deal with Alkaline

Liquidity ratios definitely show that both companies were financially stable, but Exxon was in a
better situation than Mobil. The Exxon scurrent and quick ratios (0.57 and 0.91 correspondingly)
were higher than the Mobil s (0.48 and 0.67 correspondingly) and merged company had
significantly improved these results. Ratio of net current assets as a % of total assets (i.e. working
capital to total assets) was distorted after the merger (1.48) probably due to large divestitures that
followed the deal.
Solvency status of companies also looked good. Though Exxon again showed its financial
supremacy with much higher interest coverage ratio (93.41 compared to Mobil s 7.78) Generally
speaking the better interest coverage ratio means less risk but also might be bad for future
performance because of the failure of the management to use additional funds for development.
Debt to equity ratio was safe and stable in both companies.
Combined company showed even superior results after the merger, which proved the correlation
between positive market reaction on the announcement event and success of the merger.

becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Exxon Mobil. As a result, Exxon would hold 100% of

Erickson s Stages
Eric Erickson and Sigmund Freud both believed there are stages in personality development
with few differences. The Erickson theory is composed of eight stages that a normal human will
go through from birth until death or one lifetime. Each of these stages can be related to different
characters so it is easier to relate to. Trust Versus Mistrust The first stage of Erickson s theory is
trust versus mistrust. This stage is from birth to one year old and is based on the baby s
environment and the baby s primary care giver. During this period, the baby builds a feeling of
basic trust. If the baby s primary care giver is consistent, predictable, and reliable, then, most likely
the baby will carry this trust into other relationships, hoping... Show more content on

In this movie Mikey is taught by both fathers to be potty trained. Initiative vs. Guilt Initiative
versus guilt is the third stage of Erickson s theory and applies to children between three and five
years of life. In this stage the child begins emulate the actions of adults and take initiative in
creating play situations. They like to make up stories with their toys (i.e. Ninja turtles,
matchbox cars, Barbie and Ken) they are like to play out roles as what adults do. Basically
learning what it means to be an adult. They also begin to ask question like why so they can find
a way to explore the world. Erikson has said that at this stage they become involved in oedipal
struggles a resolve these struggles through social role identification. A good example of this
theory is Michelle Tanner from Full House. Full house was a television program that aired from
1987 to 1995. In this show, Michelle is a member of a large family living under one roof in San
Francisco. In this program, she is constantly observing the actions of the adults and causing all
kind of mischievous acts that are hilarious and to be expected based on this theory. Industry
(competence) vs. Inferiority The industry versus inferiority is the fourth stage of this theory, also
referred to as the Latency stage and takes place in children from year six to twelve. During this
stage, the children are able to learn, create and to accomplish a number of new skills and
knowledge. This is also

Linden Avenue. It is the perfect place to have a picnic, and to spend time with family and
friends. Visitors are able to fish, barbecue, and watch the boats pass by. This area of the
Northeast also includes a playground for the children. The Delaware Riverfront at Linden
Avenue is a very scenic and unique area of Northeast Philadelphia. It is definitely an area that
everyone should visit. One of the things that Philadelphia is known for is its food. Northeast
Philadelphia consists of several popular restaurants, each of which serve affordable and delicious

Invasion Of The United States
The decision to invade Iraq was perhaps the largest foreign policy blunder in modern Western
history. Its immense cost in the thousands of lives lost, trillions of dollars spent, and an
unquantifiable amount of political capital squandered represents an immense failure at many levels
of government. Today, even though Saddam Hussein s dictatorship and security state have been
dismantled, Iraqremains ruined: its economy is in shambles, sectarian strife is rampant, and the
Islamic State, a terrorist army, controls much of the northern and western parts of the nation. Iraq
is a state in name only. In her memoir The Unraveling documenting her experiences in Iraq,
Professor Emma Sky argues that to identify who is responsible for this failure, blame cannot be
placed on just one actor. Both Western policymaking blunders from the marginalization of experts
to de Baathification to the support of Nouri al Malikiand Iraqi politicians self serving agendas acted
in concert to exacerbate the sectarianism that ultimately tore the country apart. The first mistake
the Western architects of the war made was to invade at all. The decision itself was based on
false premises that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, that the US would be greeted as
liberators, and that the war would be swift and successful. Sky characterizes the war as a modern
day Crusade of ideologues and idealists and the ignorance, arrogance and naivety (128). The
architects of the war from President George Bush to

Looking in the Mirror
Glancing at myself in the mirror, I didn t think I would ever regret anything. But that was back
then. Back when I was happy with my life the way it was. Back when I wouldn t have changed a
thing. In retrospect, I realize my logic was flawed. I do have regrets. After all, I am human. Fast
forward a few years into the future and I am watching two people who would later become my
trusted allies. They chatted effortlessly like old pals with plenty to say and not enough time to
say it all. They respected each other like blood brothers who had grown up together. So who was
I to ruin that bond they shared? How could I intrude on a relationship that spanned for years and
will probably span on for more years in the future? I could not ruin their friendship but maybe I
just had to. For my sake. My curiosity towards them scared me but it also fascinated me.
Perhaps, my initial interest was piqued because seeing them interact was like witnessing two
dancers dance in utter unison. To be honest, I saw a part of myself reflected in them. They
reminded me of me to the point where I felt as if I was watching an exact replica of myself.
Somehow, they managed to feed on my needs, transforming into the very people they knew I
would come to respect, come to love even. They were exceptional actors, seemingly appearing to
have perfected their craft over the years. Just when I thoughtI knew them inside out, they turned the
tables on me. At the time I didn t see it coming until finally, I saw

Poor Electricity Supply And Lack Of Internet Connectivity
3.1. 3 Poor Electricity Supply and Lack of Internet Connectivity
Lack of constant supply of electricity has also been identified by many researchers as a major
barrier to a successful wider implementation and adoption of EHR in this region (Oluoch, et al.,
2012; Awokola, et al., 2012; Pantuvo et al., 2011). For instance, Awokola and colleagues reported
that for many months, they could not use the EHR consistently because of constant power outage.
On some occasions, the power packs in some central processing units of the table top computers got
damaged and had to be replaced. In addition, Pantuvo et al. (2011) stated that many hospitals in this
region do not have access to constant electricity supply. In fact, many hospitals depend mainly on
the alternative power supply commonly called generator for their operations. Due to the
infrastructure problems throughout the country and lack of guarantee of always on internet
connection or even ensure an uninterrupted electrical supply, nationwide adoption/ wider
implementation of EHR in Nigeria may not be possible (Chaplin et al., 2015). Furthermore, the
study conducted on the use of health information and communication technologies (HICTs) by
health workers in seven state hospitals and a private hospital in the North Eastern Zone, Ogun
State, Nigeria. Reported that only one of the hospitals examined was connected to the internet and
none of them have a website (Ajiboye, Adekoya, Alawiye, Oyedipe, 2014). Jimoh, Pate and Lin

Much Ado About Nothing Monologue
For our drama assignment we had to do a Shakespearen monologue and do a write up about it. I
chose to do a monologue from the shakespearen play Much Ado About Nothing, act 4 scene 1, I
played the character Beatrice. I didn t really enjoy this assignment as much because I felt very
overwhelmed during the acting part of this assessment and I feel I didn t do very well. With the
writing part of the assignment I feel like I struggled especially with the interpretation of what each
line meant of our monologue. Overall I feel like I didn t do very well at all on this assessment task.
I believe that I could of done a lot better in the acting part by not stoping in the middle. I did get
very upset after I performed due too me feeling like I knew it and I practised it so much that I was
so disappointed in myself for stuffing the whole monologue up. I got myself all worked up
before performing so that when I stumbled during my monologue I blanked. I feel like I didn t do

Advantage Of Competitive Advantage
1.Introduction 1.1.Introduction to firm s competitive advantage Strategy is concerned with
matching a firm s resources and capabilities to the opportunities that arise in the external
environment. (Grant, p. 114, 2016). In basic sense, a firm is a place where a product or service
originates. A firm is a place where a group of people co operate and co ordinate with each other
to frame a product or services as per the taste of the customers to reach the organizational goal of
profitability. There is mixture of a lot stakeholders like, suppliers, customers, manufacturers,
distributers, etc. in a firm. A firm is a legal entity one that signs contracts with its suppliers,
distributors, employees and often customers. (Chandler, 1992). Competitive advantage is a very
general but genuine term in the present business market. The business market is very competitive.
One has to be very unique as well as customer satisfying in order to sustain in the market for the
long run. A competitive advantage is an advantage gained over competitors by offering customers
greater value, either through lower prices or by providing additional benefits and service that
justify similar, or possibly higher, prices (Ehmke, 2008). (Porter, 2008) Competitive Advantage
introduces the concept of the value chain, a general framework for thinking strategically about the
activities involved in any business and assessing their relative cost and role in differentiation. It can

Summary Of King Henry V Speech
In the middle of the siege of Harfleur, when the English were severely and harshly outnumbered,
and the French were against them Henry V gave his second famously motivational speech that
helped the English soldiers to get back in the war and win the battle. King Henry V s speeches
that were used in the war, had been played in day to day speeches, as it has been played on Allied
ships crossing the English Channel to Normandy during WWII. Once more unto the breach,
dear friends, once more; Or close the wall up with our English dead. In peace there s nothing so
becomes a man As modest stillness and humility: But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger; Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood, Disguise fair
nature with hard favoured rage; Then lend the eye a terrible aspect; Let pry through the portage
of the head Like the brass cannon; let the brow overwhelm it As fearfully as doth a galled rock O
erhang and jutty his confounded base, Swill d with the wild and wasteful ocean Now set the teeth
and stretch the nostril wide, Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit To his full height. On,
on, you noblest English. Whose blood gets from fathers of war proof! Fathers that, like so many
Alexanders, Have in these parts from morn till even fought And sheathed their swords for lack of
argument: Shakespeare s use of chorus gives the play a significant atmosphere.

Viruses Are The Worst Enemies Of Viruses
Viruses are the worst enemies of farmers. Until now, many viruses continue to attack, and even
become more virulent. They have been inflicting diseases from one squash to the other, making
them lose their supposedly excellent quality, even killing them. But as people learned crop
protection, biotechnology was established.
In today s time wherein crop pests become more and more pervasive due to climate change,
scientists have discovered the solution to control them, without the farmers having to spend extra
cents for chemical pesticides. The intention of the scientists who developed the first biotechnology
assisted crops was to help even the marginalized farmers in boosting their harvests and lessening the

According also to PHTRC (2013), the major provinces or areas, from which they gathered samples,

Panlasigui (1991) says enhancing crops and lessening the use of inorganic pesticides, while at the

biotechnology. This is a reason why contrary to popular belief that biotechnology is life threatening,
it is not something to be feared of, instead, it is an innovation that the Philippines is in need of.

Pathophysiology Of Psoriasis
Psoriasis is one of the most common chronic inflammatory skin diseases, found in about 1 3% of
the world general population (Szepietowski and Reich 2016).
The pathogenesis of psoriasis is still not fully elucidated. However, it is supposed that psoriasis is
an immunological disease with a strong genetic background which is influenced by some
environmental triggers, like infections (mainly streptococci), drugs (e.g. lithium, beta blockers),
emotional stress and smoking. All these parameters lead in predisposed individuals to cutaneous
inflammation, accelerated turnover and hyperproliferation of keratinocytes which are all important
for skin lesion development (Boehncke and Schön, 2015).
Psoriasis may occur at any age, but usually ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Treatment of pruritus in patients with psoriasis should be directed towards the resolution of skin
lesions, as disease remission usually is linked with pruritus relief. To date there is no single
antipruritic therapy dedicated specifically to treating itch in psoriasis (Szepietowski and Reich
2016).
Usually, some relief is provided by proper skin moisturizing with emollients and moisturizers;

The Vikings And The Viking Age
The Vikings were Norse seafarers, who mainly spoke the Old Norse language. They raided and
traded from their Northern European homelands across wide areas of northern, central and eastern
Europe, during the 9th to 11th century. The Vikings originated from Scandinavia, and the
beginning of the Vikings expansion often originates from the raid of the Lindisfarne Monetary on
8 June 793. The Vikings were the first Westerners to sail to Iceland, Greenland, and over to the
New World. However, the story of the Vikings is also an important story for the development of the
Christian world in the West. Throughout this essay, I will explain the importance of Viking

The reason for the Vikings leaving their homelands and venturing off on trade missions, raids,
explorations, and new settlements is largely unknown, due to a lack of evidence (Vikings weren
t huge fans of writing down their day to day lives and history.) However, it can be speculated that
they left for a few reasons. The first of those reasons was to escape forced conversion to
Christianity by Charlemagne. The Vikings had their own unique religion which differed heavily
from Christianity. Add to this the fact that Christians don t have the best history with accepting
other beliefs, it is understandable that the Vikings may have feared Christian conversion and
sought to find new lands to escape. This fear of conversion was a large part of the Saxon wars
affecting Germanic peoples. It s worth noting the irony of the Vikings leaving their homeland in
fear of Christian conversion considering their leader Harald Bluetooth (935 985), who was the
King of Norway and Denmark, eventually converted the Vikings himself to Christianity. The
second reason for the Vikings suddenly migrating may be due to their beliefs in relation to
inheritance. Vikings gave their first sons all acquired land, this caused younger sons to venture off
on their own to gain their own property. Regardless of the reason, the Vikings ventured off in their
long ships to raid, pillage,

A point of sales system is another great addition to nay growing business. The POS has many
functions. The POS will contain a register for purchases, have the ability to track reports and
menu maintenance, improve service speed, and enhance customer service. To increase service
speed, the POS efficiently makes order entries that are then transferred to the kitchen. This
results in fewer mistakes and the ability to track ticket and wait times. The system also has the
function of splitting checks and makes card processing simple. This ensures more seat turnover
and shorter wait times for the customers. In return this has the potential to increase revenue at
every service. POS can create loyalty programs that ensure repeat customers and generate more
sales of gift cards. POS provides operational control that analyzes detailed reports to drill down
on sales, server and restaurant performance (NCR 2013). A software like ALOHA also provides
a training interface that allows new employees to learn the system quickly. This reduces the cost a
restaurant would ultimately have to pay on training new employees. The ALOHA system is very
up to date with new technology trends, providing mobile and digital signage and cloud based
solutions and social technologies. The variety of functions in a point of sales system makes it very
attractive to new restaurant owners. The cost of a POS can range hundreds to thousands of dollars

When the architectural style of a design follows a hierarchical nature the Program structure can be

There are mainly two types of Structure partitioning:

In horizontal partitioning, the control modules are used to communicate between functions and

4.3.7 Data Structure
Data structure is a representation of the logical relationship among individual elements of data. A
scalar item is the simplest of all data structures. It represents a single element of information that
may be addressed by an identifier. When scalar items are organized as a list or contiguous group, a
sequential vector is formed. When the sequential vector is extended to two, three, and ultimately, an
arbitrary number of dimensions, an n dimensional space is created. In many programming
languages, an n dimensional space is called an array.
A linked list is a data structure that organizes contiguous scalar items, vectors, or spaces in a
manner (called nodes) that enables them to be processed as a list.
A hierarchical data structure is implemented using multilinked lists that contain scalar items,
vectors, and possibly, n dimensional spaces.Stack is a conceptual model of a data structure that can
be implemented as a vector or a linked

My Memories Of My Memory Essay
Going through my memory bank to remember something I learned, which seems so long ago,
has made me laugh because roller skating pops right into my head. Out of all things to
remember that was my worst and most exciting learning experience. I could not even tell you how
old I was. I would guess between five and eight years old. I remember getting a big brown box and
in that box was a pair of roller skates. I remember being so happy because I going to roller skate
with all the other kids in the apartment complex, so I thought.
Playing with the other kids was not hard to do, but skating was difficult thing to learn. Once I
put those skates on, I could not stand upright. I would fall forward on my knees or backwards on
my backside. I remember my arms flying all over the place. A couple of kids grabbed my hands
to help me, so I would not fall, but I still fell down. After some time, I learned to master standing
completely still and only being able to move my head from left to right. I managed to scoot and
hold on to the walls to get around, but when I let go to move on my own, I just landed on the
ground. Each time I tried to use my foot to push, I would just tip over. I must have looked like a
tree falling over each time. I was unable to keep up with my friends, which meant I had many
tantrums. I stood there hurt because I had fallen so many times that I had cut up my knees and
hands and at that moment, I decided I was not skating anymore. Being physically hurt

Emerson s Ideas Of Man Breaking Away From Society To...
In the essay Self Reliance , by Ralph Waldo Emerson, Emerson conveys his ideas of man
breaking away from his society to become an individual. By compiling his thoughts into an essay
Emerson allows himself to express and clarify his ideas elaborating to the reader. His expression
of his idea in the second paragraph allows the reader to understand his thoughts of being an
individual. Envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide;... This quote expresses the idea that
envying someone else is incompetent and by imitating them it s kills your true self. By becoming
someone else there is no room for society to change and expand itself, differentiating people as
individuals. Through his ideas Emerson conveys he allows himself to influence a change

The Causes And Impacts Of The World Trade Center
The original World Trade Center, constructed between 1975 and 1985, was a complex of seven
buildings occupying a 16 block area in Lower Manhattan. At the heart of the World Trade Center
(WTC) stood 1 WTC and 2 WTC, also known as the Twin Towers. These towers occupied nearly
an acre each and stood 110 stories high. When completed, 1 WTC was the tallest building in the
world. The Twin Towers stood as a symbol of America s power in the global economy. Because of
this, the World Trade Centerwas a massive target for terrorism. On February 26th, 1993, a small
moving truck was filled with 1500 pounds of explosives and detonated in the underground
parking garage of the North Tower. This attack killed 6 people, injured over a thousand and lead
to structural damage in the subsurface structure of the tower. Unfortunately, this was just a
warning of what was yet to come. On September 11th, 2001, two commercial airliners were
hijacked by terrorists and flown into the North and South Towers (1 WTC and 2 WTC). The
impact from these crashes and the heat caused by the burning of excess jet fuel after the impact
caused the buildings to collapse killing over 2600 people. Debris from the collapse damaged the
remainder of the seven buildings eventually leading to them being demolished. To recover from
the physical and emotional loss in Lower Manhattan, a new World Trade Center has been planned.
The site is now home to the new 1 WTC (The Freedom Tower), 2 WTC, 3 WTC, 4 WTC, 7 WTC,
National September 11 Memorial and Museum, and the World Trade Center Transportation Hub.
The focal point of the new World Trade Center is the new 1 WTC. Also known as the Freedom
Tower, the new 1 WTC is owned by the Port Authority of New York New Jersey. The tower s
3,100,000 square feet of floor space is managed operated and leased by the Durst Organization.
Skidmore, Owings Merrill was faced with the challenge of not only designing a building, but
designing an icon representing perseverance, innovation, and urban modernism (Lewis Holt). The
building is designed using a highly redundant steel moment frame and core to enhance rigidity
while leaving the floor space free of columns. Not only is the new 1 WTC one of the most safe
structures in the

One White Teacher s Struggle For Culturally Relevant Pedagogy
Race, Gender, Class, and ethnicity are the fabrics that form a Multicultural Society. As a teacher, it
is important to think about my students various cultures and influences their cultures possess over
their learning. After all, students are taught within the context of culture. Culture is what we teach
whether it is explicit or institutional. Culture is integral to learning, considering culture is dependent
on educationfor its survival. Culture is transferred from one generation to the next using informal or
formal education (Convertino, Levinson, Gonzalez 27). As teachers, we should ensure our
instruction is relevant to our students, otherwise they will lose interest, and then, they will never
learn (Banks 2013). So, teachers should approach their students within a culturally relevant
pedagogy.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the case study, Andrea struggled forming a connection with her students families.
Mainly because she regards her African American students families with a lot of prejudice. She
generalizes there are a lot of problems in these families and education is not stressed (Hyland
105). She goes on to say she cannot relate to some students families as she came from a normal
family. Hence, she believes her students families are abnormal. Although families have less of an
influence on my students as they are adults and some do not have families of their own, I would
never make a generalization like Andreas. Her kind of ethnocentric view creates

Pecola Race
Through the dynamic characters and character experiences that occur within the book, Toni
Morrison is able to illustrate a racist America where society reinforces the idea that the white race
is superior. Colored characters are taught by society that their own race is subordinate and that they
are not worthy of the same amount of respect as their superiors. These characters continue to teach
this idea within their raceand create an ideology that even within the same race appearance
decides whether or not a person is worthy. This instills the idea of self hatred and the longing to be
a blue eyed middle class person. Characters associate the white and blue eyes with that of economic
stability and self worth. Within the story racismbetween... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her self worth is defined by the color of her eyes and the color of her skin, this delusion is a
product of the effect that this idea has had on Pecola s life. There is a constant pattern in the
book where characters admire others as though they were hoping to one day attain their
characteristics. Characters in the story develop an unrealistic and unhealthy admiration for
white personas that further make them believe that they are worth less. For example, Pecola and
her friend Frieda are mesmerized and almost hypnotized by Shirley Temples perceived beauty
(put page number here). Similarly to Pecola, Mrs. Breedlove, consumes her days in an
unrealistic world where she admires actresses and prefers to stay at work cleaning for what she
believes to be the superior class than to go home and spend time with her family (put page
number here). Through these examples, Pecola s mother as well as Pecola show that their entire
idea of self worth relies solely on

Italians Perception of the American West
When people think of the American West they get this dangerous, rich, savage like idea of what
it might be like. In reality the American West is very different in contrast to its perception.
Europe and more specifically Italy are a main source of this impractical view on the American
West. Many events throughout history have given Italy and the region of Europe this idea. The
American west is known for its media success in well known places like Hollywood that use mass
media productions like movies, and television shows to demonstrate this idea that the American
West is full of dangerous cowboys and fame and fortune. In the early mid 20th century a genre of
movie was produced called Spaghetti Western or Macaroni Western . These western films were an
important aspect to the views on the American West throughout history. The way that American
Westerns, American Authors and more broadly Hollywood itself, portrays the American West
through its media, and famous movies gives Italy the perception that the American West is an
intimidating place as well as one that people only dream of. In reality Hollywood was successful at
significantly altering what reality is actually like in the American West.
Hollywood has been well known for its famous movies that would be seen by millions all around
the world. Hollywood has had major implications on the European view of what life is actually
like. The

The use of hybrid electricity gen eration/storage technologies as off grid stand alone systems is reasonable to overcome related shortcomings. Solar and wind energy are two rapidly emerging renewable ones that have precedence in comparison to the other kinds. In this regard, the present paper studies four specific locations in Iran, which are candidates for research centers. Based on the solar radiation and average wind speed maps, techno economically optimized systems are designed by simulating behavior of various combinations of renewable energy systems with different sizing, including wind turbine (WT), photovoltaic (PV), fuel cell (FC), and battery banks. According to the results obtained by a computer program, it is concluded that the hybrid systems including WT and PV with battery backup are less costly compared to the other systems. Moreover, we found that among non hybrid systems, in most regions of Iran s territory PVs are more economical than WTs. These scholarly impacts pertain to categories such as science, mathematics, literature, politics, music, and athletics. However, of all things, literature has the most powerful influence on the global society. The achievements of literature are known to strike deeper into the hearts of people than any other intellectual creation of man. He suffered from burdensome birth defects, including a clubbed right foot and an injured Achilles tendon. Forced to walk on the balls of his feet, Byron was challenged in his movements for the entire duration of his life (Minser). His physical limitations ultimately shaped his determined character. Byron was conceived from the conjoinment two aristocratic families. His father, Captain John Mad Jack Byron was a descendent of William the Conqueror. George Byron s mother, Catherine Gordon of Gright , was a short tempered and bluntly spoken heiress who enjoyed boasting about her direct ancestry to King James I of Scotland ( Lord Byron (George Gordon) ). John Byron and Catherine Gordon did not get along due to conflicting views on personal finance. John favored accumulating a good number of debts to appear upper class, as opposed to Catherine, who preferred to spend within the means of the family s income. As a result, later down the road John Byron abandoned his wife and young George to escape creditors and perished in 1791 (Valenciennes, France), when his son was merely three years of age (Minser). These populations include children with learning disabilities, overweight children, childhood diabetes, people with illnesses due to nervous system disorders, and abused women. After carefully looking at all these different topics I decided on people with illnesses due to nervous system disorders. All the populations listed above have affected my life in one way or another. There is only one that I have to live with on a daily bases. I have an illness due to a nervous system disorder. Day by day I have to live with the effects o multiple sclerosis. These organizations that the case manager could recommend include the following: MSFriends, MSWorld, Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. All these organizations could be helpful to the client. There are several limitations that come to mind when thinking about dealing with clients with multiple sclerosis. With me having multiple sclerosis I am more empathic with others that have the same illness. Since I feel this way many times people will take advantage of me. Another limitation is that my mind may not always be in the right place. When I say this I mean sometimes I could be having a bad day and not meaning to I could gibe the impression to the client that I do not care about what is happening with them. My main strength when it comes to dealing with this population is my knowledge about the illness. Having first hand knowledge as to what a person can expect and explaining this to them is very helpful. The main way I would use my strength to overcome my limitations is by remembering that knowledge is the most important thing when it comes to having multiple sclerosis. Being compassionate is important but having that knowledge can mean life or death. With multiple sclerosis I do not think there would be any multicultural issues to consider. We can t do it. And the yellow fruit falls heavily to the ground and splashes on the ground. The yellowjackets dig into the soft meat, and there is a smell of ferment and rot. Then the grapes we can t make good wine. People can t buy good wine. Rip the grapes from the vines, good grapes, rotten grapes, wasp stung grapes. Press stems, press dirt and rot. But there s mildew and formic acid in the vats. Add sulphur and tannic acid. The smell from the ferment is not the rich odor of wine, but the smell of decay and chemicals. Oh, well. It has alcohol in it, anyway. They can get drunk. The little farmers watched debt creep up on them like the tide. They sprayed the trees and sold no crop, they pruned and grafted and could not pick the crop. And the men of knowledge have worked, have considered, and the fruit is rotting on the ground, and the decaying mash in the wine vat is poisoning the air. And taste the wine no grapeflavor at all, just sulphur and tannic acid and alcohol. This little orchard will be a part of a great holding next year, for the debt will have choked ... As Douglas s narratee, I fulfills some of Prince s delineated narratee functions: He has roughly the same intellectual capabilities, is in tune with the nuances of Douglas s prepatory remarks, and seems to be the intended recipient of the story at the Christmas party. The Erickson theory is composed of eight stages that a normal human will go through from birth until death or one lifetime. Each of these stages can be related to different characters so it is easier to relate to. Trust Versus Mistrust The first stage of Erickson s theory is trust versus mistrust. This stage is from birth to one year old and is based on the baby s environment and the baby s primary care giver. During this period, the baby builds a feeling of basic trust. A good example of this theory is Michelle Tanner from Full House. Full house was a television program that aired from 1987 to 1995. In this program, she is constantly observing the actions of the adults and causing all kind of mischievous acts that are hilarious and to be expected based on this theory. Its immense cost in the thousands of lives lost, trillions of dollars spent, and an unquantifiable amount of political capital squandered represents an immense failure at many levels of government. Today, even though Saddam Hussein s dictatorship and security state have been dismantled, Iraqremains ruined: its economy is in shambles, sectarian strife is rampant, and the Islamic State, a terrorist army, controls much of the northern and western parts of the nation. Iraq is a state in name only. In her memoir The Unraveling documenting her experiences in Iraq, Professor Emma Sky argues that to identify who is responsible for this failure, blame cannot be placed on just one actor. Both Western policymaking blunders from the marginalization of experts to de Baathification to the support of Nouri al Malikiand Iraqi politicians self serving agendas acted in concert to exacerbate the sectarianism that ultimately tore the country apart. The first mistake the Western architects of the war made was to invade at all. The decision itself was based on false premises that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, that the US would be greeted as liberators, and that the war would be swift and successful. For instance, Awokola and colleagues reported that for many months, they could not use the EHR consistently because of constant power outage. In peace there s nothing so becomes a man As modest stillness and humility: But when the blast of war blows in our ears, Then imitate the action of the tiger; Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood, Disguise fair nature with hard favoured rage; Then lend the eye a terrible aspect; Let pry through the portage of the head Like the brass cannon; let the brow overwhelm it As fearfully as doth a galled rock O erhang and jutty his confounded base, Swill d with the wild and wasteful ocean Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide, Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit To his full height. In today s time wherein crop pests become more and more pervasive due to climate change, scientists have discovered the solution to control them, without the farmers having to spend extra cents for chemical pesticides. The pathogenesis of psoriasis is still not fully elucidated. However, it is supposed that psoriasis is an immunological disease with a strong genetic background which is influenced by some environmental triggers, like infections (mainly streptococci), drugs (e.g. lithium, beta blockers), emotional stress and smoking. All these parameters lead in predisposed individuals to cutaneous inflammation, accelerated turnover and hyperproliferation of keratinocytes which are all important for skin lesion development (Boehncke and Schön, 2015). Treatment of pruritus in patients with psoriasis should be directed towards the resolution of skin lesions, as disease remission usually is linked with pruritus relief. The reason for the Vikings leaving their homelands and venturing off on trade missions, raids, explorations, and new settlements is largely unknown, due to a lack of evidence (Vikings weren t huge fans of writing down their day to day lives and history.) However, it can be speculated that they left for a few reasons. The first of those reasons was to escape forced conversion to Christianity by Charlemagne. The Vikings had their own unique religion which differed heavily from Christianity. Add to this the fact that Christians don t have the best history with accepting other beliefs, it is understandable that the Vikings may have feared Christian conversion and sought to find new lands to escape. This fear of conversion was a large part of the Saxon wars affecting Germanic peoples. It s worth noting the irony of the Vikings leaving their homeland in fear of Christian conversion considering their leader Harald Bluetooth (935 985), who was the King of Norway and Denmark, eventually converted the Vikings himself to Christianity. The second reason for the Vikings suddenly migrating may be due to their beliefs in relation to inheritance. Vikings gave their first sons all acquired land, this caused younger sons to venture off on their own to gain their own property. Regardless of the reason, the Vikings ventured off in their long ships to raid, pillage, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Causes And Impacts Of The World Trade Center The original World Trade Center, constructed between 1975 and 1985, was a complex of seven buildings occupying a 16 block area in Lower Manhattan. At the heart of the World Trade Center (WTC) stood 1 WTC and 2 WTC, also known as the Twin Towers. These towers occupied nearly an acre each and stood 110 stories high. When completed, 1 WTC was the tallest building in the world. The Twin Towers stood as a symbol of America s power in the global economy. Because of this, the World Trade Centerwas a massive target for terrorism. On February 26th, 1993, a small moving truck was filled with 1500 pounds of explosives and detonated in the underground parking garage of the North Tower. This attack killed 6 people, injured over a thousand and lead to structural damage in the subsurface structure of the tower. Unfortunately, this was just a warning of what was yet to come. On September 11th, 2001, two commercial airliners were hijacked by terrorists and flown into the North and South Towers (1 WTC and 2 WTC). The impact from these crashes and the heat caused by the burning of excess jet fuel after the impact caused the buildings to collapse killing over 2600 people. Debris from the collapse damaged the remainder of the seven buildings eventually leading to them being demolished. To recover from the physical and emotional loss in Lower Manhattan, a new World Trade Center has been planned. The site is now home to the new 1 WTC (The Freedom Tower), 2 WTC, 3 WTC, 4 WTC, 7 WTC, National September 11 Memorial and Museum, and the World Trade Center Transportation Hub.
