Essay On Cell Phone
Writing an essay on the topic of cell phones can be both intriguing and challenging. On one
hand, cell phones have become an integral part of our daily lives, impacting communication,
social interactions, and even our overall way of living. This ubiquity provides a wealth of
material for exploration and analysis. On the other hand, the vastness of the subject poses a
challenge in narrowing down the focus and maintaining a cohesive narrative.
The difficulty lies in striking the right balance between covering the historical evolution of cell
phones, discussing their technological advancements, addressing their societal impacts, and
delving into potential concerns or controversies. Crafting a well-structured essay involves
conducting thorough research, selecting relevant information, and presenting it in a coherent and
engaging manner.
Furthermore, it's crucial to consider the diverse perspectives surrounding cell phones – from
their positive contributions to convenience and connectivity to the negative aspects, such as
privacy concerns and addiction. Balancing these viewpoints while maintaining a clear thesis
statement requires careful planning and thoughtful organization.
Moreover, the ever-evolving nature of technology means that the information available is
dynamic, requiring the writer to stay updated on the latest developments in the field. This adds
an additional layer of complexity to the writing process, as keeping abreast of the current state
of cell phone technology and its societal implications is essential for producing a relevant and
insightful essay.
In conclusion, while exploring the topic of cell phones can be intellectually stimulating, the task
of synthesizing information, addressing various perspectives, and maintaining relevance in the
rapidly changing technological landscape can make writing an essay on this subject quite
challenging.
For those seeking assistance in navigating the intricacies of essay writing, a variety of resources
are available. Whether it's refining your thesis statement, organizing your thoughts, or improving
the overall flow of your essay, professional writing services like HelpWriting.net can offer

Foils And Foils In Roman Fever By Edith Wharton
Opposites don t always attract. In Edith Wharton s Roman Fever , the two main
characters seem to be almost complete opposites of each other. In fact, it can be
argued that they are actually foils of each other. Foils in literature are described as
a foil is a character that shows qualities that are in contrast with the qualities of
another character with the objective to highlight the traits of the other character
(LiteraryDevices Editors). Mrs. Ansley and Mrs. Slade seem to at first be foils of
each other, but only on the last page and in the finale act of the story do we see
that Mrs. Ansley and Mrs. Slade may not be so different after all. Armine Kotin
Mortimer in their essay makes this claim, We see each in turn through the
somewhat tainted view of the other (Mortimer 189). I agree with this. The two
women definitely don t see each other as similar in any way. Mortimer says that
the women both see each other as if they themselves as better (Mortimer 189). They
are different from each other, but both think lowly other the other. The smaller and
paler one shook her head (Wharton 116). The other lady, who was fuller and higher
in color... (Wharton 116). These two sentences show us that Mrs. Ansley and Mrs.
Slade are very different from each other. Mrs. Grace Ansley is a quiet, reserved, pale,
small woman(Wharton 116). In turn, Mrs. Alida Slade is a loud, outgoing, large,
articulate woman (Wharton 116). The two women seem to be complete opposites of

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Being A Lawyer
When people talk about lawyers, the very first time that will get into their minds is
that lawyers are rich, because they often get paid with thousands and thousands of
money on every case they handle. What people don t really think about is how
difficult being a lawyer is. Every single day is a struggle to keep up with deadlines
and meetings, there will always be paperworks to get through, especially if they re
handling multiple cases. Being a lawyer can actually be a dangerous job, they could
be killed regardless if they win a caseor not, they could also get sick because of how
much they re working. Keep reading to find out how dangerous it is to be a lawyer.
We often want to win even more than the client. We see the bigger picture, law,
precedent, our reputation, plus all of the work that we put on our case because I
think I ve cared most of my cases far more than my clients care about their own
cases. Michael Halbfish ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, what most people don t think is that it is not always about using the brain.
Just because lawyers don t do physical labor doesn t mean that they don t get
physically tired. They re human beings as well, so their bodies get tired too. They
may not be doing extreme physically labor, it doesn t mean they don t exert
physical effort. Lawyers are known to always be sitting on their desks working on
paperworks, that would mean, that they would most likely get tired of sitting for
too long, with back pains, as well as looking at their computers for so long that
would affect their eyes. Since they are always so busy, they obviously wouldn t
have so much time to work out every day and exercise is essential, they also
sometimes don t eat healthy meals on time because they would most likely be relying

However, the higher number of properties managed by the corporate branded
hotels could have provided a larger base and more similar styled options for multi
property stays by guests compared to the lower base of those in the individually
branded categories like Rosewood. The distinct personalities of each Rosewood
property may ironically limit multi property stays due to each property s own
merits. Thus, Rosewood s data of 5% guests who had stayed in more than one of its
properties may not necessarily be an inferior indicator in relation to that of Four
Seasons 9% rate.
The corporate branded hotels market penetration was also supported by the loyalty
programme machinery. The frequent stay programme grew by 12% in guest
enrolment in 2003 according to a research conducted by the Market Matrix. Such
programmes could potentially double the rate of returning guests. Even though not all
major brands adopted this approach, its existence made it tougher to change
consumer behaviours and prevent any new market entrants to present themselves as
reasonable viable product substitutes for a major part of the penetrated market share.
Coincidentally, a group with a larger number of properties would also provide a
bigger option pool and accessibility for guests to maximise their returns through such
programmes. Although John Scott deemed such an initiative as irrelevant to
Rosewood s course, this marketing strategy would still present itself as another level

Harry Potter and its Archetypes
The word archetype, frequently used in literature, is defined as a typical character, an
action or a situation that seems to represent such universal patterns of human nature
(literarydevices.net). There are three main types of archetypes, Symbolic archetype,
Character archetype, and Situation archetype. Symbolic archetypes are archetypes
such as the quest, the journey, the fall, etc. Also, examples of symbolic archetypes are
Colors, numbers, shapes, etc. Lastly, character archetypes are the hero, mentors,
friendly beast, etc. The effect of the situation archetype the Quest and the Battle
between good and evil of the movie, Harry Potter, is that it makes the audience easier
to understand the plot of the movie, and the purpose is that it helps the audience
identify the characters and the situations in the movie.
The movie, Harry Potter, is about a boy, named Harry Potter who was born with the
faith to kill the villain, Voldemort, who longed to live forever by eating others souls.

Just like its definition, archetypes represent universal patterns of human nature. With
archetypes, the audiences can easily detect what is happening in the story, because
archetypes show the important factors of the movie. For example, by watching the
Harry Potter series, the audience can easily catch the archetype of Battle between
good and evil, and continue on with the story with the information that the movie is
about the battle of Harry Potter and Voldemort. Also, by the character archetype of
Mentors, the audience can expect that Dumbledore, the principal will help Harry in
diverse ways. Like this, with archetypes, audiences can easily be aware of who is
who, and what is going to happen along the
Reasons For The Expansion Of The European Union
Introduction
Karen A. Mingst in her book Essentials of International Relations gives a definition
European Union (EU) is a union of twenty five European States, formerly the
European Economic Community; designed originally during the 1950s for economic
integration, but since expanded into a closer political and economic union. 1 In 1951,
the European Union initially called the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC)

Optical Illusions Research Paper
Illusions can be early illusions, twentieth century illusions, twenty first century
illusions, and new illusions. Optical illusions started out in ancient Greece. John R.
Opel made one of the earliest optical illusion in 1854. Many optical illusions have
been found in cave paintings. An optical illusion is not appraised as an invention, but
instead the result of a man mimicking the geometric form seen in nature. First, our
eyes skim, then our brains tend to jump to conclusions. The impact on seeing
something starts with light rays bouncing off an object. These rays enter the eyes
through the cornea. The cornea is a transparent layer forming the front of the eye.
The cornea refracts the light rays as they go through dark part of the eye, called the
pupil. The iris(a flat, colored, ring shaped membrane behind the cornea of the eye,
with an adjustable circular opening(pupil) in the center) contracts or expands to
change the amount of light that goes through. Then, the light rays go through the lens
of your eye, biconvex structure in the eye that, along with the cornea, helps to refract
light to be focused on the retina. Last, the cell in the retina, called cones and rods,
turn the light into electrical signals. That gets sent through the optic nerves, where
the mind clarifies them.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are two other types, but all trick your eyes and brain. The first type is
physiological illusion. The physiological illusions are created when your brain and
eyes have too much stimulus. The stimulus could be light, movement, or color. An
example of a physiological illusion would be the images that you see after staring
at a bright light. The other type of illusion is a cognitive illusion. They are pictures
that cause an object to look distorted. For example, the spinning snakes is a type of
cognitive illusion. The snakes look like they are moving but are actually still. The
shape of the snakes make them appear to be

Bpo Advantages And Disadvantages
PROCUREMENT OUTSOURCING BENEFITS FOR SMEs
Growing business organizations are constantly looking for ways to improve their
performance by decreasing operational costs and increasing revenue. Business
Process Outsourcing (BPO) is one of the strategies that can facilitate these goals. BPO
refers to outsourcing of business processes to external agencies, with the goal of
relieving the company of non business critical tasks, while concentrating on its core
business.
Procurement is one of the most overlooked candidates for BPO. Procurement
Outsourcing (PO) is a process when organization moves part or full scope of its

The study concluded that companies with implemented PO strategy had on average
8.3% savings in operational and strategic procurement, and 30% lower costs to
process requisitions than companies that did procurement in house.
Another advantage that comes from PO is contract compliance and contract savings.
The same study estimated a 55% contract compliance rates in the companies with
outsourced procurement function. PO agencies can do much more than just help to
set right frameworks they can ensure contract savings. With right contract terms and
monitoring in place, money can be saved in areas like order management, supply
schedule, indirect spend management and much more.
There is also a matter of fraud. Managing small expenses provided by a multitude of
vendors can be challenging, especially if scaling up. Poorly managed expenses, even
small once, leaves space for errors and even intentional mischarges, which over time
can result in considerable expenditures. By outsourcing contract and spend
management tasks to a third party, organizations immediately reduce the possibility
of such errors and fraud happening in their purchasing

Epilepsy And Its Effects On The Central Nervous System

Epilepsy
Epilepsy refers to a seizure disorder where the central nervous system does not
function properly. It is a neurological disorder. It is when nerve cell activity in the
brain is disturbed, causing seizures. There is no cure for epilepsy, but there are
treatments to help limit the number of seizures. Most people that have epilepsy live
normal lives with some or no restrictions. Most people outgrow their seizures once
they get to adulthood. Seventy percent of people with epilepsy are diagnosed before
the age of twenty and thirty percent develop a seizure disorder after the age of twenty.
Understanding epilepsy s origin, symptoms, diagnosis process, treatment options, and
effects on daily life will eventually lead to a cure.
The first book written about epilepsy was by the Greek physician, Hippocrates. It
was written around 400B.C. and was titled On the Sacred Disease. Hippocrates
book is believed to be the first record of a person suffering from epilepsy. On the
Sacred Disease laid the foundation for the education of epilepsy. Although it
included some misleading myths, it also contained many truths about the disease.
Epilepsy was called the sacred disease because people believed that the seizures
were administrated by demonic spirits. People believed the seizures were sent by the
gods to punish someone who had done wrong. Around 1494 A.D. Heinrich Kramer, a
German Catholic clergyman, wrote Malleus Maleficarum. It

This understanding and pre planning is something that we do during a Pre
Deployment Site Survey (PDSS). From personal experience, I admit that
detachments that I have served on weren t as prepared as Finian. Our PDSS has
returned to the detachment with questions left unanswered and I attribute that to a
lack of prior understanding of the environment. If prior research is not conducted to
understand the full spectrum, there is no way that a thorough site survey can occur.
This can lead to an ill prepared deployment and risk damaging rapport with the host
nation. Another imperative that Father Finian displayed was his ability to ensure
legitimacy and credibility with the local population. He did so not by showing up
as the educated, knowledgeable, and powerful American, but by making himself a
peer amongst the locals. Finian knew there were three things that had to happen
rather quickly: Find a courageous Catholic, learn the local language, and build an
immunity to the local cuisine and water. Finding another Catholic is an obvious
must; however, learning the local language and eating the local fare is an imperative
that Americans are doing less of as the years go by. Learning the language and eating
the food should be an obvious necessity but that s not the case. Some Americans have
the arrogance that English is the superior language of the world and that others
should strive to learn it. I say this because one of those Americans

raft high sided and all but one of his guests fell out into the river. Due to the strong
rapids five of the guests died. This is a tragedy that should not have happened on the

Canada. The problem of where this happened on the river, Lava Canyon, is about
how long the rapids run. The water level was approximately 2 feet lower than it
typically ran. With water levels changing, rapids adjust throughout the river. When
the raft hit a wake it turned on its side and hit the rock that forced people out of the

The way that the raft hit the rock forced people on the high side of the raft to fly

The Namesake Minor Characters
People are often seen as the people they associate themselves with. Humanes begin
to evolve as they grow up and start overcoming baggage. Our loved ones can drift us
apart from our roots and that can be either positive or poor. In the novel The
Namesake, Lahiri uses the minor characters Kim, Ruth and Maxine throughout the
novelto highlight Gogol s characterization and journey of growing up and becoming
less understanding and distancing himself from his own culture. This statement relates
to numerous of immigrants who distance themselves from their own culture to the
one they are living in at the moment.
Lahiri creates the minor character of Kim to help explain Gogol s adventure to a
different culture than his. There are abounding moments throughout the novel
where Gogol tries to change his identity because he thinks people will make fun of
him because of his name. A major point in the book is when he is at a college party
and meets a girl named Kim. But he doesn t want to tell Kim his name. He doesn t
want to endure her reaction, to watch her lovely blue eyes grow wide (96). In the
following quote, Lahiri uses the internal conflict in Gogol, to have the reader
Castellanos 2 sympathize and relate to the circumstance that people can go through
when they are afraid what one might think. Gogol believes that by changing his
name, he will be accepted into the community around him. He is mainly concerned
about what girls think of him, rather than

Michael Lewis Money Culture Summary
The era of the get rich quick is where the book Money Culture takes place. This
book by Michael Lewis depicts Wall Street during its most outrageous and
turbulent era in the financial markets since the crash of 1929. This is evident
especially in this book by Lewis. Many of the short stories that Lewis talks about
were hard to believe that it even happened. The world that Lewis depicts is one that
creates the illusion of the more cut throat you are the richer you will be; this was the
lifestyle of many people during this era. MoneyCulture is a perfect example of what
greed can do to people and although many people didn t realize it there was a bubble
forming especially in the housing market. Lewis is a very witty writer and this is

This section the Old World; Lewis main focus is on his time spent in England as an
investment banker. During the 80 s the job to have was being an investment
banker and this was even evident in Europe as it was in America. College students
from prestigious schools like Oxford and Cambridge were literally willing to
change their accent and fish chips for six figures and a Big Mac. This money
hungry craze was especially evident during Lewis s time in England. Lewis tells
countless stories about the cultural differences and how he has failed to fit in. In a
scene that was taken place at the local fish market in England, Lewis and
Americans for that matter get put in their place by one of his co workers. Lewis
trying to immerse himself in British culture realized that the fish market is a hub
for business. While pondering the mornings catch Lewis s friend Basil struck up a
conversation about how Lewis has had successes in business and life in general in
his time in England. Basil tells Lewis and Americans for that matter treat people
like Machiavelli s The Prince. Americans are willing to step on the necks of other
people to gain a preconceived advantage in their personal life and professional life.
He continues to bash Americans in stating that just because they are at the forefront
financially, socially, and economically they soon will have a downfall. Lewis was

which sparked an uprise in society. During this timeframe, the upper class

The Universal Inner Struggle Revealed in Hamlet Essay
The Universal Inner Struggle Revealed in Hamlet
Life is defined by the struggles it presents us. Without these constant tests of our
fortitude, we would never grow as mature human beings. This is the one common
denominator linking all people, past, present, and future. It is no mystery why our
literature and art reflect this characteristic. The creation of a character is a mirror
image of a human. Shakespeare perfectly understood this truth. He crafted Hamlet,
Claudius, Polonius, and his many other characters so that they would reflect life and
in this way, entertain and educate his audience. Shakespeare s outright goal may have
been to simply make money, but along the way, he sculpted beautiful characters filled

After all of Hamlet s scheming, planning, and thinking, he gets his proof by simply
being in the right place, at the right time. The time for words, words, words is over;
action is necessary. But again, Hamlet falters. Recognizing the effects of prayer,
Hamlet seethes: A villain kills my father, and for that I, his sole son, do this same
villain send to heaven (3.3.76 78). The prince is again in a bind. Allowing the reader
access to his thoughts makes Hamlet an instantly sympathic character, and quenches
the voyeuristic appetite of the reader. Hamlet s struggle is not over, and the reader
wonders if he will ever meet an agreeable fate.
As Hamlet contends with his internal struggle, he also wrestles with his desire to
make his situation better. Like the internal struggle, this need to play the hero is
something that the audience can identify with. The only difference is that not
everyone has the heart to do it. Accepting the charge from the Ghost, Hamlet swears,
O cursed spite, that ever I was born to set it right! (2.2.188 89). A father and a king
have been slain. And the king s most seeming virtuous queen (1.5.46) has married her
husband s brother. Against these great obstacles, Hamlet takes on the noble quest of
revenging his father. First, he must set things right with his mother. Vowing to speak
daggers to her, but use none (3.2.374), the

ambitious. This was likely due to the lack of government and helping hands they had

C. The March of Millions
1. This westward march and the expansive land meant that American population
would grow large. It doubled every 25 years in the 1800 s
2. At this period (1860) there were 33 states and America was the fourth most
populous country in the world.
3. By this time there were 43 cities that had over more than 20,000 people. About
300 cities had 5,000 people or above.
4. There were by products however to this. There was poor sanitation, poor water, bad
lighting, rats, etc.
5. This increase came from a birth rate increase, but also immigration into the United
States. The Irish and the Germans accounted for most of the immigration.
6. They saw the American availability of land, religious freedom, lack of war, more
food, and mainly for a better life than the one in Europe.
7. Europe also was having a problem with population. The Old World population
tended to double and there was a surplus of people. This surplus was a forebringer
for the mass displacement of people. They were displaced before they had moved to
America
D. The Emerald Isle Moves West

Apple Pie Religion
In God s time Matthew 13 We have an apple tree in front of our house. Each year in
September, we pick the abumce of apples and my wife makes pies and other
goodies. We freeze these deserts and enjoy them all year long. With so many, we
share with church family. However if I pick the blossoms in the spring and insist
she bake a pie it would taste terrible. The same would happen if I try again when
the little green apples appear during the summer. I would be fornut if I didn t
become ill. Yet when the apples turn red and the tanginess is not from fruit picked to
early then we can enjoy the delicious slice of apple pie topped with ice cream. In
Psalm 1:3 and other passages of The Bible God asks us to wait on Him.
Racism In Richard Wright s Black Boy
Racism is man s gravest threat to man the maximum of hatred for a minimum of
reason (Abraham Joshua Heschel). This relates to Richard Wright s
autobiography, Black Boy . Richard Wright depicts his extremely difficult life as a
black man in the heat of the south s racism and oppression. Unlike most of the
blacks Richard meets throughout his life, he is extraordinarily freethinking and
open minded for his social class. Richard prefers to question the norms of society
rather than fit in and take the verbal and physical abuse from whites and sometimes
blacks. From a very young age Richard is confused and does not understand the
concept of racism. Richard Wright learns at a very young age that if he is to survive,

One morning, Uncle Tom asks Richard the time, to which Richard replies the time

Little Falls History
The first people who discovered the land that would become the Town of Little
Falls are known as the Mohawk Indians. The Mohawk Indians called the land Little
Falls so the could differentiate this land from another land called Big Falls at
Cohoes. When white traders discovered this land in the early 1600s they explored it
and eventually bought it from the Mohawk Indians in 1722 and from then on people
started settling in Little Falls (Little Falls). Around a hundred years after the purchase
of Little Falls the Erie Canalwas built. The Erie Canal was the main source of
commerce and transportation through Little Falls in the mid 1800s through to the late
1900s. The Erie Canal became Little Falls identity until around 1959 when railways

Hawley gave his original drafts of the Erie Canal to his friend, an Albany bound
assemblyman, to gain support of the 1809 legislation but, when Hawley s friend,
Joshua Forman, proposed the survey to president Jefferson he turned it down and
canalling was dropped out of legislation for that year (Bond of Union). Hawley s
draft was then left with Surveyor General De Witt Clinton to try and push it back into
congress. Lawmakers in New York only met four months out of the year so Clinton,
Thomas Eddy, Peter Porter, James Geddes, William North, Gouverneur Morris, and
Stephen Van Rensselaer, all canal commissioners, traveled the thirty hour tour up the
Hudson to do surveying without interference of politics. On their journey they visited
all the small towns with companies up and down the Mohawk river, between Albany,
Oswego and Buffalo, they asked them questions about building a canal and if they
approved of the idea but, they all said that it wouldn t matter to them because they
traded with Montreal (Bond of Union). After the canal commissioner members
finished their expedition of the Hudson and Mohawk river all of them were
convinced that the canal was not a good idea except for Peter Porter. Porter
believed that the canal could be built right alongside the Mohawk river using the
unpredictable waters as their water source for the canal. Much later after the
expedition of the Hudson and Mohawk river De Witt received a letter stating that
the canal must be built or else all the business would go to Montreal, Canada and
that building the canal would turn New York City into The largest commercial city
in the world. (Bond of Union). After the letter the canal commissioners met up again
to talk about the idea of making the canal again and brought their first report to the
lawmakers of New York State on March 2, 1811. In their

Genetically Modified Organism
Agriculture, a necessity for providing basic needs, has evolved tremendously since
the first time it was practiced. When first started, agriculture was relatively simple:
plant the seeds, water the seeds, and gather the end product. Now, agriculture has
changed to include pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic fertilizers to produce and
maintain higher yields. The Green Revolution in the 1940 s to 1970 s help modernize
agriculture with high yielding varieties, better irrigation systems, and synthetic
fertilizers. Without the Green Revolution, world hunger would have been a lot
higher than it was in the past (Easterbrook 1997). Conventional farming was
established thanks to the revolution and helped greatly in keeping world food
security. The world is still a limited resource and the amount of fertile land that
allows production of agriculture can only decrease from now. Current production
of agriculture may not be able to keep up with the steady population growth of the
developing countries. The population is projected to increase from roughly 7 billion
currently to 9.1 billion by 2050, meaning that there will be 2 billion more mouths to
feed (UNPD). Agriculture needed something new to help provide higher yields of
crops in order to keep world hunger levels at a minimum. Luckily in the mid 1990 s,
genetically modified organism, or GMO, crops were implemented on a large scale in
the United States. Genetically modified organism is an organism

This was also down to parliament authorising seamstresses to compete with tailors
who previously were only allowed to produce corsets. These new breeds of corset
makers were naturally more sensitive to women, and applied themselves to making
corsets lighter and less painful than its predecessors.
In the Victorian era, corsets became longer and became not only about supporting
and lifting the breast, but creating a tiny hourglass waist. Women were so tightly
corseted that they could not bend over but to add to the strain the corset was hung
with an extraordinary amount of gear, a combined system of garters and

This was the year in which the system called lazy lacing was invented, in which a

Women had now predominantly taken over from the specialized work of crafting

The main symbol that reoccurs in the film is a sled. The first sled is shown at the
beginning of the film when Kane, as a child, is playing on it in the snow. This sled
is a major part of Kane s childhood because this specific sled made him feel joyous
and lighthearted. The fuss about his last murmured word, Rosebud, is the name of
Kane s sled; it was meaningful to his life and is an important aspect of the film. The
sled was later shown when Kane s belongings were burned soon after he died. The
sled represented Kane s happiness and innocence. The film s sound effects and
instrumental music range from soft to loud, depending on the scenario. The music
used is consistent with the situations that occur. For example, the music playing
while young Charles Kane is being told that he has to go away with his mother s

combination of instruments such as flutes, violins, and tubas. The powerful
instrumental music lasts for a couple of minutes to emphasize how upsetting the

Positive Impact Of Afforestation Essay

Impact of Afforestation
Introduction:
What is Deforestation? Deforestation is the process of human cutting down trees and
destroying the habitats of animals and lives. People would certainly think that
deforestation would not be something good for the environment, and afforestation
would cause a positive impact on the environment. Well, most people have his
perspective like that. The scientist had found proofs that afforestation has the
negative impact on the habitats of animals and the whole environment. But how this
kind of activity would harm people and animals?
Environment: How do people and animals live? Well, they would need to depend on
some biotic and abiotic factors. Water, carbon dioxide, nitrogen etc. One of them is
Oxygen, oxygen is one of the factors that would have a big impact on human and
animals. No oxygen, no us. Afforestation is one of the ways to maintain oxygen from
all those environmental problems we are right now facing on this planet. Plants are
producers, they use sunlight and carbon to do a process called photosynthesis. When
plants do this photosynthesis, they produce oxygen out. Trees are one of the
producers that use photosynthesis and brings oxygen to us. This is one of the
benefits from afforestation, but does this proofs that afforestation does more things
that got positive impact?
During this couple of century, people had been giving the goal of afforestation.
Although people still had achieved some bits of the goal,

Designers must evade predictable dangers to those included in the development and

sensibly down to earth, and after that lessen the danger connected with perils that
remain. Architects should likewise give sufficient data about any critical dangers
connected with their configuration and co ordinate their work with that of others so
as to enhance the route in which dangers are controlled. Planners must verify that
they are capable and satisfactorily resourced to address the wellbeing and security
issues liable to be included in the configuration. Planners are frequently the first
purpose of contact for a customer. The CDM Regulations 2007 oblige fashioners to
watch that customers are mindful of their obligations under the Regulations. It is the
obligation of the fashioner who has the introductory contact with the customer. Early
arrangement of the CDM Co coordinator is urgent for powerful arranging and making
administration courses of action from the beginning. The regulations require the
arrangement to happen
Mcdonaldization Impact On Society
Who knew that a hamburger chain could create such an impact in our society? In
1993, George Ritzer coined the phrase McDonaldization of Society, an analysis
expanded from Max Weber s work. This term can be summed up as creation of low
wage jobs that produce cheaply trained replaceable employees, processed, no new
innovation, and placing emphasis on quantity over quality. It impacts not only
economically but many areas of our lives as employees and consumers. Through
Ritzer s four primary principles, efficiency, predictability, calculability and control
proved to be beneficial and at the same time leading to negative consequences for our
society.
Mcdonaldization means that most tasks can be rationalized (Mcdonaldization).

McDonald s was founded and became very successful through structured routines
and efficiency. What s the vision of society? As for McDonalds foods go,
universally, we all know it lacks quality and even bad for you. However, I foresee a
change for the good, as more people will require it. I agree with more sustainable
way of living without dehumanizing and McDonaldization principles are in conflict.
What can be foreseen, I am not certain. I feel that these principles will not change.
Is society getting better or worse? With new technologies being created, there seems
to be more negatives than positives. We prefer text and email over face to face or a
phone call.
We are losing our social and personal connections, interpersonal communications and
possibly losing our identities. These qualities are what make us human. The positives
are that we can communicate with others around the world, keep contact with loved
ones every second if we prefer or taking online classes and new advance medical
technologies. One thing is certain; our society s manners have gone
The Evolution Of The Current Celebrity System Through...
Abstract Recognizing and understanding the evolution of the current celebrity system
through parasocial interaction is the focus of this study. This paper utilized an
empirical generalization literature review through content analysis. For future
research, a qualitative method using a sample survey of fans and celebrities will be
employed. The benefits and drawbacks of the relationship between fans and
celebrities were studied in regard to parasocial interaction. From the literature review,
four primary empirical generalizations emerge: parasocial interaction is seen
universally and performed across platforms, amplifies with increased participation,
help fans meet emotional needs and amplifies feelings of social loneliness. These
findings... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

person. Employing an empirical generalization literature review will help narrow
down the concept and open up potential directions for forthcoming research to be
conducted. More specifically, this paper will discuss the current status of research
literature on parasocial interaction, will debate the positive and negative affects of
the subject and will suggest the expansion of parasocial interaction to other forms of
fan and celebrity contact. Literature Review For the purposes of this literature
review, parasocial interaction, also interchangeable with the term parasocial
relationship, is defined as the imagined relationship between fans and celebrities
alive or fictional (Bocarnea Brown, 2007). To be clear, the celebrity system is not a
unique form of status (Miller, 2010). Celebrity fame has always been part social
background, performativity, public relations and a little magic. Past research
compares the current celebrity system to that of Greek Olympics or Elizabeth drama.
Although the celebrity status is more fluid it is reminisce of an Indian caste system,
which the theory of status is found upon. Ultimately, the past should not be forgotten
when considering where the media status system is going (Milner, 2010), and how
that will affect the relationship and dynamic
Statistics Case Study
Executive Overview, Part I The management staff at a hotel located in a popular
Caribbean resort area is engaged in planning activities for the next year.
Fundamental to any plans made will be the expected occupancy rate of the hotel.
The management staff has extracted quarterly occupancy rates for the past 5 years
from the hotel records to forecast the occupancy rates for quarters 1, 2, 3 and 4 of
next year. Observing that this is a time series problem, we first generated a time
series plot of the occupancy rate. And we can see a seasonal pattern from the plot.
(See Figure 1 in Appendix A) Given the data, since year and quarter are both
qualitative variables, we first transferred each quarter in each year in to a period
number. Quarter... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

CEP Evaluation of the Working Memory Model
Atkinson s and Shiffrin s (1968) multi store model was extremely successful in terms
of the amount of research it generated. However, as a result of this research, it
became apparent that there were a number of problems with their ideas concerning
the characteristics of short term memory. Building on this research, Baddeley and
Hitch (1974) developed an alternative model of short term memory which they called
working memory. Baddeley and Hitch (1974) argued that the picture of short term
memory (STM) provided by the Multi Store Model is far too simple. According to
the Multi Store Model, STM holds limited amounts of information for short periods
of time with relatively little processing. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It is helpful to think of it as the system that you use to mentally rehearse
information by repeating it over and over again4. And the Phonological Store (The
Inner Ear but not to be confused with the canals in your actual ear) The
phonological store uses a sound based code to store information, but this
information decays after about 2 seconds, unless it is rehearsed by the articulatory
control system. The phonological store receives its input either directly from the
ears or from long term memory. If you imagine your favourite piece of music you
are using your phonological store.5 The phonological loop explains why the word
length effect occurs the fact that people cope better with short words than long
words in working memory (short term memory). It would appear that the
phonological loop holds the amount of information that you can say within 2
seconds (Baddeley et al, 1975). This makes it hard to remember a list of long
words such as anthropomorphic and representative compared to shorter words like
walk or again . The longer can t be rehearsed on the phonological loop because they
don t fit (into the two second limit). But the word length effect goes away if a
person is given an articulatory suppression task, for instance if you are asked to say
the the the... while reading a group of words. This repetitive task ties up the
articulatory process and means you can t rehearse the shorter words more quickly

The Contribution Of The Enlightenment Era
The Enlightenment era was a significant time period in which many advancements
were made in the understanding of science and philosophy. Through science and
philosophy the idea of human rights was first introduced. Philosophers such as
Thomas Hobbes and John Locke wrote articles regarding the role of the individual
and the role the individual plays in society. They elaborated on how governments are
supposed to respect and honor the inalienable human rightsattained during birth. The
ideas that were presented during this time period have continued to have an
impact in today s society and provide an understanding of how humans around the
world, regardless of gender, race, social status, and religion, deserve to be treated.
Female genital mutilation is a procedure that is considered an important human
rights issue in some parts of the world by the international community. Female
genital mutilation or FGM is defined as a procedure involving partial or total
removal of female genital organs . Subjecting girls and women to female genital
mutilation violates their rights that are protected in international and regional
instruments . It is a social ritual that is performed in 28 countries from Africa to the
Middle East. 130 million women are affected by this harmful practice each year
with most girls being 4 11 years old (See Figure 1). The prevalence of female
genital mutilation in Somalia is the largest in the world with 98% (Figure 2). FGM
has been considered a human rights
Moral Realism, Moral Relativism, And Moral Skepticism
When people hear the term ethics, most of their minds turn to dilemmas discussed by
figures such as Immanuel Kant, Jeremy Bentham, Aristotle, and other famous
philosophers. These men debated what is considered to be morally good and how a
person can become ethical. Operating under normative ethics, these philosophers did
not question whether or not ethicseven existed, but rather if they exist, what are they?
The branch of ethics that questions the foundation of ethics and moralityis metaethics.
There are three standpoints when debating metaethics: moral realism, moral relativism
, and moral skepticism. I will be discussing my argument for moral realism and
contend that moral relativism and skepticism are inaccurate. I will prove the... Show

For instance, in America, it is not uncommon to see a child spanked for
misbehaving or disobeying his or her parent. However, in Sweden, this action is
not only illegal, not also frowned upon. A moral relativist would explain that this
is because moral facts can exist and be objective in America, but can be still
objective and independent of Sweden s morals. Lastly, disagreeing with both moral
realist and relativists, moral skeptics believe there are no moral facts; all morals are
equivalent to opinions, and they are different for everyone. Moral skepticism says
that all morals are simply rules created to control humans and their behaviors. For
example, the moral skeptic would argue that the reason controversy exists over
issues such as abortion is that each person has opinions that are independent of
others. Skeptics would also say that there are no right answers to moral dilemmas,
because each person will come to a different conclusion.
The validity of realism in metaethics exists based on the fact that humans have
certain physical attributes that occur as a reaction of how we act we have physical
reactions when something morally wrong occurs. More specifically, the human
anatomy responds negatively to unethical activities. For example, the idea of lying
is prima facie ethically wrong according to realism; telling the truth is objectively
ethical. This is proven to be true based on the human body alone; it naturally reacts
when we lie by raising our heart
Forensic Science And The Criminal Justice System Essay
Forensic science and law are often seen as two opposing disciplines; forensic
science is often presumed to be factual and law can be interpreted in multiple ways.
Science and law reach conclusions in different ways which is an issue. Due to these
differences, miscommunication is often the cause for miscarriages of justice. In
order to address this problem, people working in the criminal justice system should
have more knowledge of forensic science. There are many factors that contribute to
the lack of understanding between forensic science and the people involved in the
court process. Firstly, the adversarial model will be discussed in relation to how these
procedures prevent effective communication between forensic evidence and lawyers.
Secondly, the role that expertwitnesses play in the presentation of scientific evidence
and how jurors play a role in interpreting their evidence, will be considered. Thirdly it
will be argued that lawyers and judges lack adequate knowledge of forensic science
that is needed to conduct accurate trials. Lastly, possible solutions to improve the
communication between forensic science and the actors involved in the criminal
justice system. Juries, lawyers and judges should be more educated in understanding
forensic science.
Forensic science can be defined as the relationship between law and science; it
answers the questions of how, why and who committed the crime, with the input of
multiple actors. However, there are currently problems with
Drug Use Is Not Something That Just Happens Overnight
Drug use is not something that just happens overnight. There are many things that
led up to a person deciding they want to try a drug for the first time. It might be
that they were exposed to it at an early age and perceived it to be the norm to use
them. They might have experienced peer pressure at a party or just wanted to fit
in with a certain crowd. Or they may have gotten a prescription for one and liked
the high they felt when they were on it so they wanted to find a way to continue
feeling that same high. Each situation is different, and the drugs that were most
likely used in each scenario are also going to be different. A drug that is rather
common for someone to be exposed to from an early age is cocaine. Cocaine is
classified... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Then the coca paste is dissolved in a small amount of dilute sulfuric acid and
potassium permanganate is added (How Cocaine Is Made. (n.d.).
When cocaine is in this form it is most often snorted or mixed with water and
injected into the blood stream. The high people get from cocaine use does not last
very long, which is what causes them to binge use, and why addiction can be caused
so quickly. The user is constantly chasing that initial high and wanting it to last
longer. Cocaine is a strong central nervous system stimulant that increases levels of
the neurotransmitter dopamine in brain circuits regulating pleasure and movement
(Cocaine (2013, April). It can also cause bursts of energy, talkativeness, increased
heart rate and blood pressure, dilated pupils, and increased body temperature. The
most serious side effect can be death if the manufacturing process was not done
correctly.
Learning theory is probably the best explanation as to why one would chose to use
cocaine. Cocaine produces a high that can be rewarding because of the euphoria it
produces. When the high wears off the user experiences a crash and wants the high
back. They have learned through continued use that in order to get the euphoric
feeling they must continue to use the drug. Although chemicals such as cocaine
might initially have been used for social reasons, the substances ability to provide

Breast Augmentation Research Paper
Breast augmentation is a very delicate procedure that can only be handled by a highly
qualified medical practitioner. Basically, the procedure involves placement of a
synthetic implant under the breast tissue. Alternatively, such an implant can also be
placed beneath the chest muscle.
You may wonder whether an artificial implant can actually have the feel and look of
a normal breast. Well, in any properly done augmentation procedure, no one may
even suspect that you have an artificial implant, since it would look and feel exactly
the same as your natural breast. This is so because the implant is filled with salt
water or silicone gel, which is malleable just like normal breast tissue.
Why Would Anyone Go for Such an Augmentation Procedure?
The Success Of Corporate School Reform
The corporate school reform which has originated through political movement
mainly has methods in which are taken from the political approaches. The fact that
most of the school board members consists of those who professions in business
instead of education is not favorable. The Failure of Corporate School Reform on
page one states that the corporate school reformers try to imagine public schools
as private businesses, districts as markets, students as consumers, and knowledge
as product. If I am able to purchase my knowledge, that will be great. Yet, I am not
able to do that, and I feel like the reformers are only looking at me as one of the
pawns on the chessboard; the reformers are only thinking of us as money. There is a
saying that everyone learns from their mistakes; however, the corporate school
reformers only change their methods of approaching by little bit or unnecessary
matters. Even stated on page two of The Failure of Corporate School Reform, the
reformers have insisted on accountability through testscores and [they] have failed.
Then the fact that the standardized testing is still given upon to us is objectionable.
Instead of taking out the standardized testing, the reformers, for example, comes up
with a method of abolishing or replacing public schools with charter schools. It is as
if they are trying to prove that their idea of standardized testing is not wrong by
somehow incorporating the tests into the new schools or the charter schools. The
result
New South Vs Old South
The New South was 2/3 new in the areas of politics and economics; however, it was
not new in race relations. Before Reconstruction initiated in 1865, slaves were
treated very austerely jobs and rules. However, this changed after the Union victory
in the Civil War. This gave some 4 million slaves their freedom, but the process of
rebuilding the south brought a set of substantial challenges. In 1865, a period of
Presidential Reconstruction began because President Lincoln was assassinated. This
meant that all of Lincolns plans for reconstruction had to fall to his successor
Andrew Johnson. Black codes were then passed in Legislation controlling the work
and behavior of former slaves and African Americans. These codes were not liked by

The old south was very dependent on agriculture especially the crop of cotton. If
the cotton plants were eaten by Boll Weevil, the agriculture field would
significantly fall. However, the old south was also dependent on their secondary
plant tobacco. Southern tobacco production rose after the Civil War as two new
varieties had been founded and a new way to cure the tobacco. Textiles began to
boom and industrialization was in full force. Cotton consumption went from
182,000 bales before the war to 1,479,000 bales after the war. Railroad lines were
crossing the country, so the south could profit from other country s productivity.
Refrigerated rail cars also allowed southern produce to reach northern markets,
which further expanded the economy. Not only did agriculture better, but so did
textiles. Birmingham, Alabama was known for its iron, limestone, and coal
production which was a very important resource for the traveling of trains.
Southern coal production increased from 5 million tons per year to 49 million tons
per year. Hydroelectricity was a growing source in the south which was a big step in
the industrialization process. Lastly, the south was offered pine trees which helped
restore those homes taken down in the war. The lumber industry grew to create
paper, clay, glass, and stone were in high demand, non fresh vegetables were sent on
railroad carts and canned in other places,
Wrestling Styles Research Paper
It was 6:00 pm, February 10th, 2016. A freshman had just won his last match,
crowning himself Arrowhead League Champion. I was that freshman, and that day I
realized wrestling was more than just a sport, it was a way of life.
Wrestling tracks back about fifteen thousand years and is one of the oldest form of
fighting. Wrestling made a first appearance in the 1986 Olympics. At the time it was
mainly just fighting but it had evolved and had rules added over the years. Wrestling
has changed but the heart of it has not.
Each country also had their own form of the sport. America had Greco Roman, and
Freestyle, while Russia had Sambo or pankration. You ask yourself why is there
so many different types of one sport, but it s the same reason why there are so
many different types of religions in the world, you were raised doing it a different
way. The top three wrestling styles I am going to cover is, Greco Roman, Freestyle,
and Folk style. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was the original Olympic sport and still is to this day two thousand years later. It
was mainly known for the flat hand wrestling because it focuses on throws rather
than the technique moves performed in other sports. The main goal of Greco is to
throw or expose the other opponents back gaining two or even three points when
doing so. This is why you see most Olympian wrestlers short and bulky because they
have the leverage to roll or throw their opponent. You can get disqualified like any
sport if you perform a dangerous move or one that is not controlled meaning you didn

Car Rental Industry Elasticity
The rental car industries as well as other industries within the travel market are
challenged with developing a pricing strategy that will maximize profits for the firm.
In our analysis of three firms, Hertz, Avis and Budget, our team used qualitative and
quantitative methods to develop an understanding of their pricing strategies. We
wanted to determine which company has the best overall pricing strategy.
Furthermore, these methods helped us develop recommendations involving
segmentation and brand differentiation that will help these rental car companies
insure greater profitability through pricing that will minimize consumer surplus. Our

Budget and Avis are both subsidiaries of Cendant Corp. who bought both
companies separately. Although both Avis and Budget were part of Cendant by
the end of the year 2002 they operate as separate companies and maintain distinct
brand identities. Avis positions itself as a business friendly rental car company
while Budget tries to own the leisure segment. The two brands together operate
over 6,000 outlets in the Americas, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean.
Each rental car company maintains separate advertising campaigns, websites and
counters, while combining some back office operations to reduce costs. Hertz was
a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company until it was sold in
September 2005 to a private equity firm for $15 billion. Hertz dominates the
airport rental car market, operating approximately 350 sites in the United States.
The company offers customers high quality vehicles and premium service. It
derives the bulk of its sales and profits from rentals in the United States. It
considers Avis to be a key competitor. Hertz offers its customers several key
features including the low cost Hertz #1 Club Gold program which provides an
expedited rental service to members worldwide. Also, Hertz offers a Prestige
Collection brand, which offers customers the opportunity to rent from a pool of high
end performance cars, including Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln and Volvo.

Essay On Cell Phone. Argumentative Essay on Cell Phones: Should They Be Allowed in School ...

  • 1. Essay On Cell Phone Writing an essay on the topic of cell phones can be both intriguing and challenging. On one hand, cell phones have become an integral part of our daily lives, impacting communication, social interactions, and even our overall way of living. This ubiquity provides a wealth of material for exploration and analysis. On the other hand, the vastness of the subject poses a challenge in narrowing down the focus and maintaining a cohesive narrative. The difficulty lies in striking the right balance between covering the historical evolution of cell phones, discussing their technological advancements, addressing their societal impacts, and delving into potential concerns or controversies. Crafting a well-structured essay involves conducting thorough research, selecting relevant information, and presenting it in a coherent and engaging manner. Furthermore, it's crucial to consider the diverse perspectives surrounding cell phones – from their positive contributions to convenience and connectivity to the negative aspects, such as privacy concerns and addiction. Balancing these viewpoints while maintaining a clear thesis statement requires careful planning and thoughtful organization. Moreover, the ever-evolving nature of technology means that the information available is dynamic, requiring the writer to stay updated on the latest developments in the field. This adds an additional layer of complexity to the writing process, as keeping abreast of the current state of cell phone technology and its societal implications is essential for producing a relevant and insightful essay. In conclusion, while exploring the topic of cell phones can be intellectually stimulating, the task of synthesizing information, addressing various perspectives, and maintaining relevance in the rapidly changing technological landscape can make writing an essay on this subject quite challenging. For those seeking assistance in navigating the intricacies of essay writing, a variety of resources are available. Whether it's refining your thesis statement, organizing your thoughts, or improving the overall flow of your essay, professional writing services like HelpWriting.net can offer valuable support. • 2. Foils And Foils In Roman Fever By Edith Wharton Opposites don t always attract. In Edith Wharton s Roman Fever , the two main characters seem to be almost complete opposites of each other. In fact, it can be argued that they are actually foils of each other. Foils in literature are described as a foil is a character that shows qualities that are in contrast with the qualities of another character with the objective to highlight the traits of the other character (LiteraryDevices Editors). Mrs. Ansley and Mrs. Slade seem to at first be foils of each other, but only on the last page and in the finale act of the story do we see that Mrs. Ansley and Mrs. Slade may not be so different after all. Armine Kotin Mortimer in their essay makes this claim, We see each in turn through the somewhat tainted view of the other (Mortimer 189). I agree with this. The two women definitely don t see each other as similar in any way. Mortimer says that the women both see each other as if they themselves as better (Mortimer 189). They are different from each other, but both think lowly other the other. The smaller and paler one shook her head (Wharton 116). The other lady, who was fuller and higher in color... (Wharton 116). These two sentences show us that Mrs. Ansley and Mrs. Slade are very different from each other. Mrs. Grace Ansley is a quiet, reserved, pale, small woman(Wharton 116). In turn, Mrs. Alida Slade is a loud, outgoing, large, articulate woman (Wharton 116). The two women seem to be complete opposites of each other in
  • 3. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Being A Lawyer When people talk about lawyers, the very first time that will get into their minds is that lawyers are rich, because they often get paid with thousands and thousands of money on every case they handle. What people don t really think about is how difficult being a lawyer is. Every single day is a struggle to keep up with deadlines and meetings, there will always be paperworks to get through, especially if they re handling multiple cases. Being a lawyer can actually be a dangerous job, they could be killed regardless if they win a caseor not, they could also get sick because of how much they re working. Keep reading to find out how dangerous it is to be a lawyer. We often want to win even more than the client. We see the bigger picture, law, precedent, our reputation, plus all of the work that we put on our case because I think I ve cared most of my cases far more than my clients care about their own cases. Michael Halbfish ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, what most people don t think is that it is not always about using the brain. Just because lawyers don t do physical labor doesn t mean that they don t get physically tired. They re human beings as well, so their bodies get tired too. They may not be doing extreme physically labor, it doesn t mean they don t exert physical effort. Lawyers are known to always be sitting on their desks working on paperworks, that would mean, that they would most likely get tired of sitting for too long, with back pains, as well as looking at their computers for so long that would affect their eyes. Since they are always so busy, they obviously wouldn t have so much time to work out every day and exercise is essential, they also sometimes don t eat healthy meals on time because they would most likely be relying to

However, the higher number of properties managed by the corporate branded hotels could have provided a larger base and more similar styled options for multi property stays by guests compared to the lower base of those in the individually branded categories like Rosewood. The distinct personalities of each Rosewood property may ironically limit multi property stays due to each property s own merits. Thus, Rosewood s data of 5% guests who had stayed in more than one of its properties may not necessarily be an inferior indicator in relation to that of Four Seasons 9% rate. The corporate branded hotels market penetration was also supported by the loyalty programme machinery. The frequent stay programme grew by 12% in guest enrolment in 2003 according to a research conducted by the Market Matrix. Such programmes could potentially double the rate of returning guests. Even though not all major brands adopted this approach, its existence made it tougher to change consumer behaviours and prevent any new market entrants to present themselves as reasonable viable product substitutes for a major part of the penetrated market share. Coincidentally, a group with a larger number of properties would also provide a bigger option pool and accessibility for guests to maximise their returns through such programmes. Although John Scott deemed such an initiative as irrelevant to Rosewood s course, this marketing strategy would still present itself as another level of

  • 8. Optical Illusions Research Paper Illusions can be early illusions, twentieth century illusions, twenty first century illusions, and new illusions. Optical illusions started out in ancient Greece. John R. Opel made one of the earliest optical illusion in 1854. Many optical illusions have been found in cave paintings. An optical illusion is not appraised as an invention, but instead the result of a man mimicking the geometric form seen in nature. First, our eyes skim, then our brains tend to jump to conclusions. The impact on seeing something starts with light rays bouncing off an object. These rays enter the eyes through the cornea. The cornea is a transparent layer forming the front of the eye. The cornea refracts the light rays as they go through dark part of the eye, called the pupil. The iris(a flat, colored, ring shaped membrane behind the cornea of the eye, with an adjustable circular opening(pupil) in the center) contracts or expands to change the amount of light that goes through. Then, the light rays go through the lens of your eye, biconvex structure in the eye that, along with the cornea, helps to refract light to be focused on the retina. Last, the cell in the retina, called cones and rods, turn the light into electrical signals. That gets sent through the optic nerves, where the mind clarifies them.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are two other types, but all trick your eyes and brain. The first type is physiological illusion. The physiological illusions are created when your brain and eyes have too much stimulus. The stimulus could be light, movement, or color. This relates to Richard Wright s autobiography, Black Boy . Richard Wright depicts his extremely difficult life as a black man in the heat of the south s racism and oppression. Unlike most of the blacks Richard meets throughout his life, he is extraordinarily freethinking and open minded for his social class. Richard prefers to question the norms of society rather than fit in and take the verbal and physical abuse from whites and sometimes blacks. After the canal commissioner members finished their expedition of the Hudson and Mohawk river all of them were convinced that the canal was not a good idea except for Peter Porter. When first started, agriculture was relatively simple: plant the seeds, water the seeds, and gather the end product. Now, agriculture has changed to include pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic fertilizers to produce and maintain higher yields. The Green Revolution in the 1940 s to 1970 s help modernize agriculture with high yielding varieties, better irrigation systems, and synthetic fertilizers. Without the Green Revolution, world hunger would have been a lot higher than it was in the past (Easterbrook 1997). Conventional farming was established thanks to the revolution and helped greatly in keeping world food security. The world is still a limited resource and the amount of fertile land that allows production of agriculture can only decrease from now. Current production of agriculture may not be able to keep up with the steady population growth of the developing countries. The population is projected to increase from roughly 7 billion currently to 9.1 billion by 2050, meaning that there will be 2 billion more mouths to feed (UNPD). Agriculture needed something new to help provide higher yields of crops in order to keep world hunger levels at a minimum. One of these patchworks is CDM regulations. The following is coverage of analysis that explain the role and duties of designers and analysis of sources of design liability. The duties and regulations are as explained below. Designers must evade predictable dangers to those included in the development and future utilization of the structure. Architects must dispose of dangers so far as is sensibly down to earth, and after that lessen the danger connected with perils that remain. Architects should likewise give sufficient data about any critical dangers connected with their configuration and co ordinate their work with that of others so as to enhance the route in which dangers are controlled. Planners must verify that they are capable and satisfactorily resourced to address the wellbeing and security issues liable to be included in the configuration. For instance, in America, it is not uncommon to see a child spanked for misbehaving or disobeying his or her parent. However, in Sweden, this action is not only illegal, not also frowned upon. A moral relativist would explain that this is because moral facts can exist and be objective in America, but can be still objective and independent of Sweden s morals. Lastly, disagreeing with both moral realist and relativists, moral skeptics believe there are no moral facts; all morals are equivalent to opinions, and they are different for everyone. Moral skepticism says that all morals are simply rules created to control humans and their behaviors. For example, the moral skeptic would argue that the reason controversy exists over issues such as abortion is that each person has opinions that are independent of others. Skeptics would also say that there are no right answers to moral dilemmas, because each person will come to a different conclusion. In order to address this problem, people working in the criminal justice system should have more knowledge of forensic science.
