1. Explain why OpenID offer users greater convenience and security than the current system
By using the current system, convenience and security are considered as problems, because the different
sites have a different ID for the same user and also because most of this sites are not prepared to focus on
security.
Getting to a web page using an Open ID, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even that the identity provider would solve the security issue; it also can be a weak point in our
connection. If there is some kind of phishing into the Open ID service, all our information and passwords
are there, so the one who gets into the system could get in our websites or modify our information so that
we could not enter again.
Another interesting point to take into account is related to the website we visit and we access to through
the Open ID. Many companies rely on user registration forms to gather information about their clients
and/or potential clients. By using an identity provider this kind of information disappears or is hidden, so
the companies will need to get the customers data through a different way, which would be costly and
hard.
3. Would you consider using an identity provider to access content on the Web? Why or why not?
In our opinion the identity provider is a useful tool; it is a new method that people can use in order to stop
giving their personal information to many sites in the web which are not secure enough. It is also easier to
remember just one login name and one password instead of having one for each site. Even though, we don
t think that the security issue could be a advantage for them; for example if somebody gets access to your
account at an Open ID provider he may get access to any site

Anorexia Nervosa Essay
Anorexia Nervosa
I have chosen to study about Anorexia Nervosa because I would like to know more about this topic and
why people do it to themselves. I wonder why young people in particular feel that they need to be so thin.
In this assignment I would like to study mainly on why teenage girls feel so conscious about their bodies,
what they feel about the way that women are portrayed in the media and the effects of Anorexia Nervosa.
To be able to cover this stage of work, I will find information from the Internet and the library, write off to
a campaign and collect leaflets. From all of this information I find I hope to get photos and information all
about the causes, treatment and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are always pictures in teenage magazines and in the newspapers. They are a bad influence on all
teenagers as it is very easy to get jealous. One thing every girl should know is that as all their bodily
changes take place, most girls begin to get more body fat, which makes them curvier in shape. This is not
just a case of getting fat , but rather becoming more womanly in shape. At some point most girls begin to
worry that they are putting on weight and start to compare themselves to models in magazines.
What are the causes?
The disease usually begins in young people around the time of puberty. The causes for this disease are still
not known. Some people think that if they are thinner they will be more happy and successful. Some times
the causes of anorexia can be from a painful childhood, sexual abuse, physical abuse, domineering
coaches and controlling relationships and they are punishing themselves because of it. Domineering
coaches are a reason for anorexia because for example Ballet, you have to be slim and petite, for obvious
reasons. If a girl wants to be a Ballet dancer and they are told they cant because they haven t got the right
figure then they will do what ever it takes to change that. This may make them go over the top and start to
get too thin. Girls that don t think

The People s Republic of China vs. the Internet Essay
The introduction of the Internet to the mainstream world has brought with it a new way of distributing
information. This new distribution of information over the Internet has created a power struggle between
some states and their citizens. The basic definition of power is the action of a person over another person
to force the submissive person to do something he would not ordinarily do. Brian A. Connery, a professor
at Oakland University who has studied power, defines power as, Any capacity to get people to do what
you want them to do. Power is evident in the relationship between a state and its citizens. The government
has power over its citizens to enact laws and regulate society. In many societies, such as the ... Show more

As a result of this surge of information, the government has started to punish and imprison dissidents who
use the Internet to spread their ideas. That is why, the rise of information in China has created a power
struggle between the state and its citizens and has unmasked China s illegitimate government.
Power can come in different forms and these classifications can make this relationship clearer so one can
comprehend the power struggle between the political elite and their citizens. If we can comprehend the
importance of the different types of power then we can begin to understand the power the Chinese
government exerts over its citizens. The authors Keohane and Nye explain the different kinds of power
and their uses. The first category is behavioral power. Behavioral power is divided into sub categories of
hard and soft power hard power being the capability to get people to do what they usually would not
through threats or rewards, while soft power is the coercion of people because they desire the same goals
as those who hold the power. The second category is resource power, which is classified as power in
which an organ controls resources to reach the desired outcomes. (86). The Chinese government, as the
reader will come to see, uses hard power and resource power in order to achieve the power they have over

Measuring Customer Value And Customer Values
Measuring Customer Value In order for companies to engage its customers in relationships, they must be
prepared to treat their customers differently. Different customers have different values. Companies with
large numbers of customers whose transactions are electronically tracked in a detailed way maybe able to
utilize the statistical model to make accurate forecasts. Companies that rank their customers by value do
so by using a mix of judgment and proxy variables. Companies can devote a greater portion of its internal
resources to serving its most valuable customers, and set rational financial objectives for each customer
based on that customers value profile. The company will have to alter the customer s trajectory to set

LTV measurement represents an economically correct way to evaluate marketing investments compared to
counting immediate sales. The objective of LTV modeling is to use data points to create a historically
quantifiable representation of that customer and to compare that customer s history with other customers.
When a customer s LTV is taken into consideration, the results are revealed, and estimating potential
values will provide more insight. A proxy variable is a representation of a customer s value to the
company rather than quantification. They can be an efficient tool for helping a company rank its
customers based on value, and with the ranking, the companies can apply strategies to different customers
based on their relative worth. Companies should have different financial objectives for different customers
based on its assessment each customer is creating for it already, and what kind of value is possible.
Several customers will refer new customers to a company more frequently than others will represent real
value created by the referring customers. Fred Reichheld s Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a compact metric
designed to quantify the strength of a company s word of mouth reputation among existing customers. At

A Study On Korean University Curriculum
According to the above research about Korean university curriculum, most of courses aim to educate
BIM, which means they are fully related to BIM. On the other hands, a few of them are digital graphic
representation course, which educate BIM modelling in order to improve architectural presentation skill.
Additionally, engineering program curriculum of the 10 universities, mentioned previously, are also
researched in order to find out whether their engineering programs have any cooperation courses for BIM
education. In engineering program, BIM is able to apply on administration of construction process,
integrated design delivery project, construction management, structural analysis, and costing construction,
and it has many other related subjects which is able to applied indirectly. However, only 2 universities
have BIM course, and 1 university is planning to apply into the engineering program curriculum among
the previously mentioned 10 university. According to the Universities engineering program curriculum,
their major goal of the courses is that students have effective architectural digital design skill and flexibly
responding technique to the design changes during the project. Moreover, during the courses, student can
understand how data or information of architectural design is shared with construction by computer
science and digital technology in design and construction phase. Therefore, according to the researches in

Diversity In The Media Analysis
Mainstream media is the single most influential aspect of American culture, and it s failing all the people
that consume it. While the majority of viewers are perfectly satisfied with what they re being fed, they re
only getting empty calories. They don t know they re starving. But minority groups can feel the hunger
pangs, and they know exactly what will satisfy them: diversity. America is missing out on its biggest, and
most readily available, way to positively change society, and it doesn t have to be that way. In order to
gain acceptance for minority groups, all the mainstream media needs to do is focus on diverse characters,
treat those characters with the respect, and keep them on as quasi permanent members of the cast.
Recently, a new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There s a TV show, and it not only includes a black, female character, but she s accurately portrayed and
equally shares the spotlight with two other leads. Everything is going along perfectly well, and then
BAM! She dies three episodes into the new season. This ploy is all too common in mainstream media. A
creator will add a diverse character, only to remove them when either there s an audience outcry (from
viewers who ve never before encountered that type of person) or when an imaginary diversity quota is
reached, and it s no longer necessary to represent a certain group through an important character because
another group is going to be represented through a different character. Why can t both characters be part
of the show? That s the diversity quota in action. It makes creators and majority viewers uncomfortable
when the people like them are outnumbered, or even in danger of being outnumbered eventually, so the
number of diverse characters is minimized and many of them are killed off or relocated to a new place
where they re never seen again, even if they were vital to the show at one

The Conflicts Of Conflict In A Letter From Gaza
Can you imagine yourself reading a story without a conflict? A conflict is an essential part of plot; it is a
struggle or problem that faces the character in a story. Stories seem to plot less, if we take the conflict out
of plot. Every story revolves around the opposition of the antagonist and protagonist. Therefore, stories
are interesting and have meaning. Stories usually have more than one kind of conflict in it. This conflict
can be a struggle between a man and nature, a struggle between man and another man and a struggle
between man and his society. These struggles are external. Conflicts can also be internal, as the struggle
between different ideas and elements within a man. In this essay we will discuss the different types of

your country becomes independent. For another thing, I most important moral lesson in this story is the
act of bravery the thirteen year old girl did. She could have saved herself and rescued her leg but her
nobility drove her to sacrifice herself in order to protect her little brothers and sisters from the bombs and

Muhammed Ali Research Paper
The term legend is overused, often directed at individuals who are undeserving of the title. Such is not the
case for legendary boxer and humanitarian Muhammed Ali. After a long battle with Parkinson s disease,
Ali finally succumbed to complications this past week while being treated for respiratory issues in a
Phoenix hospital. He was 74 years old.
Ali s boxing career was marked by both brilliance and controversy. As a brash young pugilist, he made his
mark on the boxing world in the late 1960s through the 1970s with a record of 55 5. During this time, he
claimed the World Heavyweight title three times (a record) and fought some of the sport s greatest
fighters. Among his most dangerous opponents were Hall of Fame fighters like Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier,
George Foreman and Floyd Patterson. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While his trash talking brought with it a lot of entertainment value, it also offended people in the sport
who took exception to some of his comments.
To non boxing fans, he will always be remembered as the conscientious objector who refused to enlist for
military service in Vietnam due to his Islamic beliefs. His decision riled the nation, resulting in a 3 year
suspension from boxing. After resuming his boxing career, he would continue his siege on the
Heavyweight title.
Outside of the ring, Ali (born Cassius Marcellus Clay) garnered a reputation as a true humanitarian. Even
during the 20 something years he was battling Parkinson s, he traveled the world and spoke out about
poverty, racial inequality and the quest for peace throughout the world. It is in his role as an ambassador to
the world that he will be missed by family, friends and the legion of fans he acquired throughout his many

Salinity In Vibrios
Temperature and salinity are known to play important and interrelated roles in the levels of Vibrio spp.
Kelly and Stroh (1988) reported that V. parahaemolyticus was found in Pacific Northwest coastal waters
only during the summer months, when water temperatures were above 17 °C and salinities were below 13
ppt. Further research by Kaspar and Tamplin (1993) demonstrated that V. vulnificus levels increased when
salinities was between 5 and 25 ppt, ; however, when salinities were 30, 35, and 38 ppt, V. vulnificus
levels decreased by 58%, 88%, and 83%, respectively. The same situation was reported by Motes and

Accordingly to the effect of pH, Karem and others (1994) demonstrated that when Aeromonas hydrophila
suspended in broth was shifted from pH 7.2 to 5.0 (conditioned), cells survived longer when exposed to a
further pH downshift equal to 3.5. Thus, it appears that A. hydrophila exhibits an adaptive mechanism of
acid tolerance response capable of protecting cells at pH values as low as 3.5. Wong and others (1998)
found that V. parahaemolyticus was more acid tolerant in the broth model when it was initially
conditioned by a pH downshift from 7.5 to 5.0. Koga and others (1999) studies demonstrate that acid
adapted V. parahaemolyticus cells had an increased resistance to heat (47 °C), crystal violet, bile, and
deoxycholic acid, when compared to non adapted cells. In addition, these investigators noticed a change in
the composition of the outer membrane protein of acid adapted cells. For V. vulnificus, Koo and others
(2000) reported a strain to strain differences in acid tolerance although there was a pH value (somewhere
around pH 2.0) below which all strains were inactivated. Bang and Drake (2004) reported that 3 strains of
V. vulnificus have shown increased acid resistance in broth acidified with citric acid (pH 3.5) after prior
adaptation at pH 5.5, regardless of strain and duration of adaptation time; the same

The Theories Of Louis Althusser And Michel Foucault
Religion is potentially one of the single most influential concepts in our history as people. Power in
religion divides social groups and those groups contain a tiny portion of a ruling elite group who make use
of power and control others. In social groups, individuals who are inferior or subordinate are dealt with as
subjects by the ones who exert more control and are compelled to accept societal norms free willingly
while those who are superior hold power. A Pentecostal church uses powerful mechanisms such as internal
surveillance or panopticism to keep their believers in a well disciplined society. In this essay I look at the
way power is exerted throughout the ritual at Kennedy Road Tabernacle in a Pentecostal church,
demonstrating how those in power have control over the ones who are inferior or subordinate. Throughout
this examination, I will use the theories of Louis Althusser and Michel Foucault to analyze the ways in
which power is exerted within the members of this community.
During my observations at our visit to the Pentecostal church, there was an unequal distribution of power
between the men and women in labour divisions and the tasks they were assigned in terms of the location
they were in while performing the tasks. The Kennedy Road Tabernacle Pentecostal church had both a
lobby and the main hall where the ritual took place. Upon entering the lobby of the church, there was a
woman standing at the entrance handing out brochures and greeting people as they

The Immense Changes That Aboriginal People Endured During...
Whether or not Aboriginal people had left the land to dry for itself is not our concern here. Nor is the aim
of this paper to prove the English were right in claiming sovereignty over Australian land, since there is
much proof they hadn t even been the first Europeans to meet with terra nullius . Nevertheless, as history
speaks for itself, there s clear evidence Aboriginal people endured immense changes during colonization
years, on the land where they stood, cultures unshaken, for thousands of years, before Europe had a say in
that. Indeed, what we aim for is to examine some ideas perpetrated along the years in regards to the
devastating effects that emerged once the first ship of colonizers arrived.
We ve had this debate about Australia was a terra nullius and it was a wasted landscape and people hadn t
used it and hadn t farmed it. They ve discovered that it probably supported 1.6 bilion lives and that s how
productive Aboriginal people were able to make this part of the Earth which has the most irregular and
unreliable rain fall and the driest continent on Earth. As historian Janet McCalman (First Australians,
Episode 1, 2008) presents her introduction, there s a smile flashing over her face. It s an ironic smile
almost as though she s to say if terra nullius was what you claimed for sovereignty, well then, Aboriginal
people have proved you wrong. And, indeed, if we consider the extend of time people had inhabited this
continent long before the interference of

Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD)
Brain disorders are categorized as major health conditions based on the fact that the brain is the control
center of the body. Brain disorders come in many forms and at times are difficult to diagnose based on
their complexity. A very rare degenerately unchangeable brain disorder of the central nervous system is
Creutzfeldt Jakob disease (CJD). Creutzfeldt Jakob disease affects one person in a million within a
population that is worldwide (Llorens et al., 2015). The USA is known to have two hundred cases of
patients diagnosed with Creutzfeldt Jakob disease each year (Llorens et al., 2015). Although the disease is
very rare, it is very deadly because after onset of symptoms of the disease the patient usually passes after a
year of diagnosis. Most patients develop the disease around their sixties and typically only have one year
left to live (Head et al., 2009). CJD can be categorized etiologically as sporadic, infectious, and inherited
neurodegenerative disorder due to the misfolded proteins making it very unique. Symptoms in clinical
trials of CJD have consisted of rapid onset of progressive dementia, involuntary muscle contractions,
inability to balance, cognitive impairment and visual deterioration (Gozke et al., 2008). ... Show more

Pain alleviation along with suppression of other symptoms are priority w/ selection of the proper drug to
aid the patient. None of the selected treatments have been conclusively shown to slow or halt the disease
process. Sodium valproate is often administered to patient with CJD. Sodium valproate issues its
effectiveness in that it reduced cortical myoclonus, or irregular short duration jerks and seizures in patients
with the disease (Vetrugno et al, 2014). Reduction is achieved when because the sodium valproate poses
as an agent that increases cortical gamma amino butyric acid. Typically, patients display a response when
administered a dose between 1 and 2.5 grams. For psychiatric symptoms of CJD, patients are prescribed
Quetiapine. This particular drug has the ability to block 5HT1 and 5HT2 receptors, leaving adrenergic and
H1 receptors more exposed (Vetrugno et al, 2014) 5HT1 and 2 receptors which stand for 5
hydroxytryptamine are G protein coupled. These receptors are specifically responsible for binding w/ the
neurotransmitter serotonin. With Quetiapine, sides effect similar to Parkinson s are less prevalent in
patients. With pains symptoms, drugs such as Gabapentin and amitriptyline has proven to be effective.

Acadian Hermit Crabs Lab Report
Construction of each substrate: Rock Crevice: The rock crevice used four rocks to make a crevice shape
Rock Structure: The rock structure was made of three rocks, two rocks on the bottom level and one resting
on top of the others to make an overhang. Seaweed: Find a small bunch of Bladderwrack Fucus seaweed
and weigh it down with a small rock so it does not disturb the other substrates. Shells: Collect periwinkles
(both smooth and common), dogwhelks, and a mussel or clam to make up the shell area. It is okay if the
periwinkles and dogwhelks move, just make sure they do not obstruct the test. The Actual Experiment: To
begin the experiment, one must pick out one hermit crab at random from the holding bucket. One person
records the data about the species of each hermit crab, the species of the shell it is dwelling in, and
anything else of interest about the hermit crab itself regarding its appearance. The recorder then must

Importantly, look into the population diversity in the Hurricane Island tide pools beforehand, so as to be

Explain The Three Rites Of Passage
1. The three main rites of passage (Lenkeit 2012: 11) are puberty, childhood, and death. As people go
through this arc of life social positions change and we are put into certain parts in life. This because life
changes and people go through bodily and physical change throughout life. Rites of passage allows an
individual to participate but there is also a group to go with that person in which are close to the
individual. This means anything that happen to there one friend and they die or get hurt, it effects them.
For example, cultures have types of rituals (Lenkeit 2012: 11) where there is a celebration of life and
when life ends we have a ceremony for the death of the person who meant something to us. It s a way of
coming to peace and honoring them.
2. Supernatural belief (Lenkeit 2012: 11) is defined as the belief that transcends the observable, natural
world. So, this has to do with religion and what we get out of it. Supernatural forces (Lenkeit 2012:11) are
the unseen powers that one possesses. These forces go against nature and beyond ... Show more content

Supernatural beings (Lenkeit 2012: 11) are those such as God s and Goddesses, Souls, Ghosts, Tricksters,
and witches. Ghosts for example, are supernatural beings for the most part. They have abilities that can go
beyond us. For all we know they are dwelling in the world to finish something and were not ready to
leave, at least this is what society says. There have been multiple encounters that people have experienced.
But, there are also ways to fool others as well into thinking something is supernatural. Magic (Lenkeit
2012: 11) for example, is a technique to manipulate supernatural forces and beings. Which leads us to
another example of a supernatural being, witches. The Salem witch trials is one of the most remembered
events in time. Women were accused for using witchcraft , or, magic. For practicing it they were killed
and cast out by people. These accusations from people were probably false and people

Project Future Book Report
Walt Disney World Resort is known worldwide and is a widely popular vacation spot to millions of
families every year. Though so many people know about this central Florida destination, very few know
just exactly how it came about. In his book, Project Future, Chad Denver Emerson describes in detail the
process Disney and his team went through in order to make his dream a reality. From finding the location
for the project to finalizing legislations, Emerson recalls the efforts put in by so many and the difficulties
they faced while doing so. Through this book, we see just how state and local government were put into
use during the development of Project Future. With the huge success of Disneyland, Walt Disney became
interested in working on another project on the East Coast. He had received many letters inquiring a
Disney expansion in their state or city, but the majority received a response from Disney stating that he
was not interested. Although, there were rare occasions when Walt s interest did pique, particularly in
Niagara, New Jersey, and St. Louis, but nothing more than a few meetings and visits came out of this. One
major problem with these locations is that the winter weather would require indoor ... Show more content

Having personally been there numerous times, I can honestly say that Walt Disney did such an amazing
job in immersing you into a completely different world that the thought of how it all came to be never
crosses your mind. When reading this book, it came as a surprise to me that Walt Disney World Resort is
its own municipality and that it took years beforehand for it to actually become that. Walt Disney worked
effortlessly at this project and the fact that he never was able to see his next big dream become a reality is
truly tragic. The story of the creation of Walt Disney World is surely a unique way to describe the use of

Retail industry in India is at the crossroads. It has emerged as one of the most dynamic and fast paced
industries with several players entering the market. But because of the heavy initial investments required,
break even is difficult to achieve and many of these players have not tasted success so far.
However, the future is promising; the market is growing, government policies are becoming more
favorable and emerging technologies are facilitating operations. Retailing in India is gradually inching its
way towards becoming the next boom industry.
The whole concept of shopping has altered in terms of format and consumer buying behavior, ushering in
a revolution in shopping in India. Modern retail has entered India as seen in sprawling shopping centers,
multi storied malls and huge complexes offer shopping, entertainment and food all under one roof. The
Indian retailing sector is at an inflexion point where the growth of organized retailing and growth in the
consumption by the Indian population is going to take a higher growth trajectory. The Indian population is
witnessing a significant change in its demographics.

Introduction
This report aims to investigate how foreigners see Brazilian culture from an average outsider point of
view. To achieve this, we tried to identify some of the stereotypes that the interviewees had towards
Brazilian culture, particularly in music. The purpose of the collected information is to give the readers
insights of how stereotypes are prejudicial and how they can have huge impacts in big social matters that
can increase social inequality, and therefore prevent prejudice.

The interviews were performed and recorded in a cell phone, by at least two members of the group per
interview, and occurred between the 17th of November of 2015 and the 5th of December of 2015. They
consisted in the questions showed in the table asked after some introductory questions created to know the
interviewee. The introductory questions were: * What is your name and how old are you? * Where are you
from? Which city? * How long have you been living in Brazil?
We used these questions to divide the interviewees in different categories in which we searched for
patterns, as can be seen in the Discussion, analysis and results section.
Discussion, analysis and results
The group searched for foreign people to interview in Portuguese for foreigners classes and in the
members of the group s regular classes, seen that some of them accept exchange students.
Furthermore, the group asked to the interviewees if they had any friends that could be interviewed too. We
ended up with 10 interviewees from the following nationalities, ages and time living in Brazil: * Three
Americans, a 56 year old (6 years living in Brazil) and two 46 year old (one living in Brazil for 8 years,
and another for 6 years); * Two Germans, a 24 year old and a 21 year old (both living in Brazil for 5

The 1940 s On August 9, 1945 the second atomic bomb dropped in Nagasaki, Japan by the United states.
The first atomic bomb that was dropped in Hiroshima was not enough to convince the Japanese war
council to accept the Potsdam Conference s demand for an unconditional surrender. Following the
plutonium based bombing in Hiroshima, The United States had already planned to drop the second atomic
bomb in Nagasaki. The Nagasaki A bomb, which was a uranium based bomb, was originally set to be
dropped on August 11, but was moved up in date due to unforeseen weather conditions. The bomb was
dropped at 11:02 a.m by Frederick Brock who was flying a B 29 bomber at 1,650 feet above the city. The

Fifty two American diplomats and citizens were held hostage for 444 days from November 4, 1979, to
January 20, 1981 after a group of Iranian students belonging to the Muslim Student Followers of the
Imam s Line who supported the Iranian Revolution, took over the U.S Embassy in Tehran. After a power
struggle between Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi of Iran and his prime minister, the Shah gained the
support of the United States in preventing the nationalization of Iran s oil industry. In return the Shah
received economic and military aid from the United States. With increased American policy influence,
Shah Pahlavi moved towards economic and social reforms of the Iranian government. However, these
reforms were criticized by the Iranian nationalists. Eventually after weeks of violent demonstrations
towards the Shah, he fled Iran.To the Iranians it seemed as if the United States was protecting the hated

The Poverty Of Poverty And Poverty
There are so many Americans living in poverty today, and the number of those living in poverty will
probably only go up from here. What s even more disheartening is that a lot of the poverty stricken
families include young children. America is considered one of the richest nations in the world, and that we
are so much better off than other countries. While it may be true, I beg to ask the question of why are so
many of our fellow brothers and sisters living in poverty? For those of us who are fortunate to be able to
afford the basics of things go about our lives without thinking about not being able to pay for basic needs,
we don t even realize that a lot of the people we come into contact with are probably poor. Most often
when we do think of poor, we picture of the images of the children in Africa with no clean water or no
food at all, when really that is not the case. Some families do not have enough food to feed their children,
or make just enough to pay the basic bills and have little money for food. Poverty is defined as the state or
condition of having not enough money, goods, or any means of support for oneself. Statistics say that at
least 16 % of Americans are living below the poverty line. Poverty is considered as one of America s
leading problems. What is important to note is that a lot of those people living in poverty actually have
jobs. They just do not make enough money to be able to afford health care, food, clothes, and barley their
homes. a quarter

Application And Application Of Input Controls
Introduction Most firms try their best to protect the data entry process in their companies. As a result, the
current computing platforms come with a variety of applications. Some applications come with forms,
which expect a user to fill in particular details. To use them, consumers require various interactive
components to help them maneuver a page and operate applications. Besides, most website pages will
incorporate input controls into their forms to help consumers utilize applications conveniently. The user
interfaces will ensure that data entered is secure, safe, complete, and accurate. In this context, users can
enter data online or through automated processing platforms. According to Veatch and Senning (2009),
Input controls refer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Essentially, the focus should be on elements that promote the control of data accuracy and quality for the
sake of protecting users entering details on the pages. Without user controls, it is likely that the
implementation of data integrity while filling out forms would be impossible. In addition, they help in the
evaluation of data saved in databases, as they ensure that all elements are presented in the same format.
Presentation of data in a similar format makes it simpler to assess and ensure that data compiled is
homogenous in nature. Finally, the validation rules and check routines utilized in input control functions
ensure that data entered in a system is correct and meaningful (Perspective Pixel Inc., 2014). Such
processes guarantee that data presented by users filling a form make sense and is of a rich quality to the
organization in need of the data values entered.
Types and Functions of Input Controls The type of input control utilized is dependent on its function on a
page. Additionally, organizations employ particular user controls with the aim of limiting data types;
hence, facilitate easier manipulation of sent data. In the event that multiple type set of questions is
required for purposes of more accessible analyzes, there is the introduction of different types of input
controls. The input controls help in achieving data accuracy, as

An Analysis Of Jo March In Little Women By Louisa May Alcott
Gillian Jacobs, an American actress, once said I think there s a sort of satisfaction in defying people s
expectations (Jacobs 9). Jo March is a perfect example of how one can find vindication in not doing what
is expected of he or she. Jo March is a defiant character in the novel Little Women written by Louisa May
Alcott. This novel tells the story of four young sisters and their mother, from Concord, Massachusetts,
growing and maturing into ladies. The tight knit family struggles with living through the years without
their father because of the Civil War. During this time, women were expected to follow certain rules. In
fact, they were expected to feel ashamed if they did not follow these guidelines. Throughout the novel,
one can see how Jo March defies the traditional domestic role of a women in her time period, the 19th
century, by having a masculine personality and bringing in an income for her family. The first example of
how Josephine March goes against the traditional role of a young women in this time period is her
masculine personality. This attitude would stand out in this time period because ladies were expected to
wear big long dresses with their hair nicely done, and go to events, such as balls, every weekend. Jo,
however, is the exact opposite of that stereotype. Josephine first shows signs of having a masculine
personality when explaining that she would prefer if everyone started calling her Jo, a nickname which is
definitely more manly than Josephine

Emotions And Risks Perception Of Emotions
Emotions and risks perception The concept of affect, emotions, moods In psychology, emotions and
moods are phenomena that have been grouped under the umbrella term affect (Hosany Gilbert, 2010).
Affect is a term used to define good or bad as a feeling state initiated by a positive or negative stimulus
that is consciously or unconsciously experienced (Peters, Burraston, Mertz, 2004; Slovic Peters, 2006).
However, moods and emotions are two distinct affective states that differ in intensity (Cohen Areni, 1991).
Moods are mild, transient and pervasive feeling states that can be caused by a multitude of stimuli
(Gardner, 1985). For example, a person who reads an article in the newspaper about the drop in fuel prices
will start the day in a good mood as this implies money savings next time at the gas station. However, this
positive mood can easily disappear and be replaced by a negative mood when the ride to work lengthens
due to road traffic. In contrast, emotions are intense feelings that are associated with specific stimuli that
trigger specific behavioural responses (Cohen Areni, 1991; Hosany Prayag, 2013). For example, a person
who receives a raise at work will experience feelings of joy and happiness leading to more dedication in
the work place. Similarly, a person who waits 45 minutes at a restaurant to dine will feel disappointment
and frustration and may decide to choose a different restaurant. Beside their aforementioned differences,
feelings

British Colonies And The New England Colonies
Throughout the New World many British colonies were established for various reasons. A few of those
reasons being for religious freedom, farming, and gold. The way that certain colonies would succeed and
develop depended on geographical factors. Eventually some colonies would flourish through farming,
seaport trade, or industry. In the New England colonies such as Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island,
and New Hampshire, their economy succeeded through shipbuilding and trading. The soil up north was
very rocky and the New England colonies experienced long winters short summers, which didn t create
ideal farming land. Despite the flawed farming elements, colonists managed to subsistence farm within
the short growing season. This means that the colonists grew just enough crops to provided to their
families. ( New England Colonies. New England Colonies. N.p., n.d. Web. 11 Sept. 2014.) Although New
England didn t have the best farming conditions the colonies had an abundant amount of trees. The trees
were cut down and then used as lumber and timber for shipbuilding. Since the New England colonies
were in a close proximity of the sea the colonies depended heavily on trade and fishing. New England
participated in the Triangular Trade, exporting goods such as lumber, fish, horses and flour then in return
the West Indies would supply the colonies with sugar, molasses, and rum. (Shmoop Editorial Team.

The Pilgrim Research Paper
The Pilgrims An American Author by the name of Nelson DeMille once said, We re all Pilgrims on the
same journey but some Pilgrims have better road maps. This quote can be applied to many different areas
in one s life, even into the subject of history. The historical images that are seen today which represent
well known Pilgrim events are reliable sources created to provide an idea and feel for what had taken
place. Though there are not primary paintings of the Pilgrim s first Thanksgiving feast, or events along
those lines, members of the colony provided these recent days with road maps to help derive pictures of
what they had witnessed. The reliability of the later paintings is proven through firsthand accounts written
by Pilgrims and the studies of historians. Though the artwork cannot depict the very scene of the Pilgrims,

Historians received much of the images information from the Pilgrim s records. Their [the Pilgrims]
written accounts provided necessary details for key factors in the artwork today, thus leading historians to
support the paintings as honest representations. Much of today s controversy concerning the typical
historical images of the Pilgrims revolves around a painting by Jean Leon Gerome Ferris, an oil painting
of the Pilgrims first Thanksgiving feast. Various factors of the painting are incorrect, such as the feathered
war bonnets and the black and white clothing, but none of these factors were what the painting was meant
to express. Ferris showed the association between the Pilgrims and the Indians, the gathering of the colony
for the feast, the presence of the Indian king, Massasoit, and the development of their life in the New
World. In Document 2:2, evidence is provided of the peace between the Indians and the Pilgrims. Edward
Winslow wrote, ...Many of the Indians coming amongst us, and among the rest their greatest king,

Explain why OpenID offer users greater convenience and security than the current system By using the current system, convenience and security are considered as problems, because the different sites have a different ID for the same user and also because most of this sites are not prepared to focus on security. Getting to a web page using an Open ID, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even that the identity provider would solve the security issue; it also can be a weak point in our connection. If there is some kind of phishing into the Open ID service, all our information and passwords are there, so the one who gets into the system could get in our websites or modify our information so that we could not enter again. Another interesting point to take into account is related to the website we visit and we access to through the Open ID. Many companies rely on user registration forms to gather information about their clients and/or potential clients. By using an identity provider this kind of information disappears or is hidden, so the companies will need to get the customers data through a different way, which would be costly and hard. 3. Would you consider using an identity provider to access content on the Web? Why or why not? In our opinion the identity provider is a useful tool; it is a new method that people can use in order to stop giving their personal information to many sites in the web which are not secure enough. It is also easier to remember just one login name and one password instead of having one for each site. Even though, we don t think that the security issue could be a advantage for them; for example if somebody gets access to your account at an Open ID provider he may get access to any site ... I wonder why young people in particular feel that they need to be so thin. In this assignment I would like to study mainly on why teenage girls feel so conscious about their bodies, what they feel about the way that women are portrayed in the media and the effects of Anorexia Nervosa. To be able to cover this stage of work, I will find information from the Internet and the library, write off to a campaign and collect leaflets. There are always pictures in teenage magazines and in the newspapers. They are a bad influence on all teenagers as it is very easy to get jealous. One thing every girl should know is that as all their bodily changes take place, most girls begin to get more body fat, which makes them curvier in shape. This is not just a case of getting fat , but rather becoming more womanly in shape. At some point most girls begin to worry that they are putting on weight and start to compare themselves to models in magazines. What are the causes? The disease usually begins in young people around the time of puberty. The causes for this disease are still not known. Some people think that if they are thinner they will be more happy and successful. Some times the causes of anorexia can be from a painful childhood, sexual abuse, physical abuse, domineering coaches and controlling relationships and they are punishing themselves because of it. Domineering coaches are a reason for anorexia because for example Ballet, you have to be slim and petite, for obvious reasons. If a girl wants to be a Ballet dancer and they are told they cant because they haven t got the right figure then they will do what ever it takes to change that. This may make them go over the top and start to get too thin. Girls that don t think ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The People s Republic of China vs. the Internet Essay The introduction of the Internet to the mainstream world has brought with it a new way of distributing information. This new distribution of information over the Internet has created a power struggle between some states and their citizens. The basic definition of power is the action of a person over another person to force the submissive person to do something he would not ordinarily do. Brian A. Connery, a professor at Oakland University who has studied power, defines power as, Any capacity to get people to do what you want them to do. Power is evident in the relationship between a state and its citizens. The government has power over its citizens to enact laws and regulate society. In many societies, such as the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a result of this surge of information, the government has started to punish and imprison dissidents who use the Internet to spread their ideas. That is why, the rise of information in China has created a power struggle between the state and its citizens and has unmasked China s illegitimate government. Power can come in different forms and these classifications can make this relationship clearer so one can comprehend the power struggle between the political elite and their citizens. If we can comprehend the importance of the different types of power then we can begin to understand the power the Chinese government exerts over its citizens. The authors Keohane and Nye explain the different kinds of power and their uses. The first category is behavioral power. Behavioral power is divided into sub categories of hard and soft power hard power being the capability to get people to do what they usually would not through threats or rewards, while soft power is the coercion of people because they desire the same goals as those who hold the power. The second category is resource power, which is classified as power in which an organ controls resources to reach the desired outcomes. (86). Companies that rank their customers by value do so by using a mix of judgment and proxy variables. LTV measurement represents an economically correct way to evaluate marketing investments compared to counting immediate sales. The objective of LTV modeling is to use data points to create a historically quantifiable representation of that customer and to compare that customer s history with other customers. A proxy variable is a representation of a customer s value to the company rather than quantification. They can be an efficient tool for helping a company rank its customers based on value, and with the ranking, the companies can apply strategies to different customers based on their relative worth. Companies should have different financial objectives for different customers based on its assessment each customer is creating for it already, and what kind of value is possible. Several customers will refer new customers to a company more frequently than others will represent real value created by the referring customers. While the majority of viewers are perfectly satisfied with what they re being fed, they re only getting empty calories. They don t know they re starving. But minority groups can feel the hunger pangs, and they know exactly what will satisfy them: diversity. America is missing out on its biggest, and most readily available, way to positively change society, and it doesn t have to be that way. In order to gain acceptance for minority groups, all the mainstream media needs to do is focus on diverse characters, treat those characters with the respect, and keep them on as quasi permanent members of the cast. Recently, a new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There s a TV show, and it not only includes a black, female character, but she s accurately portrayed and equally shares the spotlight with two other leads. Everything is going along perfectly well, and then BAM! She dies three episodes into the new season. This ploy is all too common in mainstream media. A creator will add a diverse character, only to remove them when either there s an audience outcry (from viewers who ve never before encountered that type of person) or when an imaginary diversity quota is reached, and it s no longer necessary to represent a certain group through an important character because another group is going to be represented through a different character. Why can t both characters be part of the show? That s the diversity quota in action. It makes creators and majority viewers uncomfortable when the people like them are outnumbered, or even in danger of being outnumbered eventually, so the number of diverse characters is minimized and many of them are killed off or relocated to a new place where they re never seen again, even if they were vital to the show at one ... This conflict can be a struggle between a man and nature, a struggle between man and another man and a struggle between man and his society. These struggles are external. Such is not the case for legendary boxer and humanitarian Muhammed Ali. After a long battle with Parkinson s disease, Ali finally succumbed to complications this past week while being treated for respiratory issues in a Phoenix hospital. He was 74 years old. Ali s boxing career was marked by both brilliance and controversy. As a brash young pugilist, he made his mark on the boxing world in the late 1960s through the 1970s with a record of 55 5. Accordingly to the effect of pH, Karem and others (1994) demonstrated that when Aeromonas hydrophila suspended in broth was shifted from pH 7.2 to 5.0 (conditioned), cells survived longer when exposed to a further pH downshift equal to 3.5. Thus, it appears that A. hydrophila exhibits an adaptive mechanism of acid tolerance response capable of protecting cells at pH values as low as 3.5. Wong and others (1998) found that V. parahaemolyticus was more acid tolerant in the broth model when it was initially conditioned by a pH downshift from 7.5 to 5.0. Koga and others (1999) studies demonstrate that acid adapted V. parahaemolyticus cells had an increased resistance to heat (47 °C), crystal violet, bile, and deoxycholic acid, when compared to non adapted cells. In addition, these investigators noticed a change in the composition of the outer membrane protein of acid adapted cells. For V. vulnificus, Koo and others (2000) reported a strain to strain differences in acid tolerance although there was a pH value (somewhere around pH 2.0) below which all strains were inactivated. Bang and Drake (2004) reported that 3 strains of V. vulnificus have shown increased acid resistance in broth acidified with citric acid (pH 3.5) after prior adaptation at pH 5.5, regardless of strain and duration of adaptation time; the same ... • 13. The Theories Of Louis Althusser And Michel Foucault Religion is potentially one of the single most influential concepts in our history as people. Power in religion divides social groups and those groups contain a tiny portion of a ruling elite group who make use of power and control others. In social groups, individuals who are inferior or subordinate are dealt with as subjects by the ones who exert more control and are compelled to accept societal norms free willingly while those who are superior hold power. A Pentecostal church uses powerful mechanisms such as internal surveillance or panopticism to keep their believers in a well disciplined society. In this essay I look at the way power is exerted throughout the ritual at Kennedy Road Tabernacle in a Pentecostal church, demonstrating how those in power have control over the ones who are inferior or subordinate. Throughout this examination, I will use the theories of Louis Althusser and Michel Foucault to analyze the ways in which power is exerted within the members of this community. During my observations at our visit to the Pentecostal church, there was an unequal distribution of power between the men and women in labour divisions and the tasks they were assigned in terms of the location they were in while performing the tasks. The Kennedy Road Tabernacle Pentecostal church had both a lobby and the main hall where the ritual took place. Upon entering the lobby of the church, there was a woman standing at the entrance handing out brochures and greeting people as they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. The Immense Changes That Aboriginal People Endured During... Whether or not Aboriginal people had left the land to dry for itself is not our concern here. Nor is the aim of this paper to prove the English were right in claiming sovereignty over Australian land, since there is much proof they hadn t even been the first Europeans to meet with terra nullius . Nevertheless, as history speaks for itself, there s clear evidence Aboriginal people endured immense changes during colonization years, on the land where they stood, cultures unshaken, for thousands of years, before Europe had a say in that. Indeed, what we aim for is to examine some ideas perpetrated along the years in regards to the devastating effects that emerged once the first ship of colonizers arrived. We ve had this debate about Australia was a terra nullius and it was a wasted landscape and people hadn t used it and hadn t farmed it. They ve discovered that it probably supported 1.6 bilion lives and that s how productive Aboriginal people were able to make this part of the Earth which has the most irregular and unreliable rain fall and the driest continent on Earth. As historian Janet McCalman (First Australians, Episode 1, 2008) presents her introduction, there s a smile flashing over her face. It s an ironic smile almost as though she s to say if terra nullius was what you claimed for sovereignty, well then, Aboriginal people have proved you wrong. And, indeed, if we consider the extend of time people had inhabited this continent long before the interference of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Brain disorders come in many forms and at times are difficult to diagnose based on their complexity. A very rare degenerately unchangeable brain disorder of the central nervous system is Creutzfeldt Jakob disease (CJD). Creutzfeldt Jakob disease affects one person in a million within a population that is worldwide (Llorens et al., 2015). The USA is known to have two hundred cases of patients diagnosed with Creutzfeldt Jakob disease each year (Llorens et al., 2015). Although the disease is very rare, it is very deadly because after onset of symptoms of the disease the patient usually passes after a year of diagnosis. Most patients develop the disease around their sixties and typically only have one year left to live (Head et al., 2009). CJD can be categorized etiologically as sporadic, infectious, and inherited neurodegenerative disorder due to the misfolded proteins making it very unique. Symptoms in clinical trials of CJD have consisted of rapid onset of progressive dementia, involuntary muscle contractions, inability to balance, cognitive impairment and visual deterioration (Gozke et al., 2008). ... As people go through this arc of life social positions change and we are put into certain parts in life. This because life changes and people go through bodily and physical change throughout life. Rites of passage allows an individual to participate but there is also a group to go with that person in which are close to the individual. This means anything that happen to there one friend and they die or get hurt, it effects them. • 32. Emotions And Risks Perception Of Emotions Emotions and risks perception The concept of affect, emotions, moods In psychology, emotions and moods are phenomena that have been grouped under the umbrella term affect (Hosany Gilbert, 2010). Affect is a term used to define good or bad as a feeling state initiated by a positive or negative stimulus that is consciously or unconsciously experienced (Peters, Burraston, Mertz, 2004; Slovic Peters, 2006). However, moods and emotions are two distinct affective states that differ in intensity (Cohen Areni, 1991). Moods are mild, transient and pervasive feeling states that can be caused by a multitude of stimuli (Gardner, 1985). For example, a person who reads an article in the newspaper about the drop in fuel prices will start the day in a good mood as this implies money savings next time at the gas station. However, this positive mood can easily disappear and be replaced by a negative mood when the ride to work lengthens due to road traffic. In contrast, emotions are intense feelings that are associated with specific stimuli that trigger specific behavioural responses (Cohen Areni, 1991; Hosany Prayag, 2013). For example, a person who receives a raise at work will experience feelings of joy and happiness leading to more dedication in the work place.
