In 2013, associate professor of psychology at the University of California, Kate Sweeny and her
researchers surveyed 230 law school graduates for a period of four months after taking their bar
exam in July 2013 ( J. Hoffman, 2015). The purpose of her research was to focus on the waiting
period during which the person is uncertain of the outcome of a life situation and how they manage
any anxiety that may occur during that time. The individuals that were surveyed in this descriptive
research used three different strategies when asked about how they tried to avoid anxiety while
waiting on their exam scores. The first group attempted to suppress their fears by trying to not pay
attention. The second group sought for silver linings. They tried to anticipate something good in a

Johannes Gutenberg (c. 1398 1468) s printing press was created in the mid 15th century
Guttenberg used his moveable type machine to print the first mass produced book the Gutenberg
bible, also known as the 42 line bible, named after the number of lines per column. The publication
was printed at the rate of 300 pages per day, an unrealistic quantity during the time of print made
possible by his invention. Metal letter forms copied manuscript letters of the time as closely as
possible, printing the lingual script of the era Textura Quadrata, a form of Blackletter. Guttenberg
was said to have included alterations of letters in order to copy the irregularities of handwriting,
even joining letters to be used as scribes in order to control letter fitting.[1]
The printing press is a revolutionary example of technology. Not only because of its status as a
