I had an interview for a new job today at Pinderfields Hospital. The interview went really well
and the Senior Sister gave me an offer instantly. However upon realising that I could only work
part time (23 hours/ week) and not a bank position, I started to wonder whether the job will be
suitable for me.
Initially was really keen in getting the job because I was fed up of cleaning the wards for
mediocre results. I was even more delighted that there was an opportunity to work at Dewsbury

One of the oldest and most commonly known and used concepts in mathematics is that of Pi (ПЂ).
In the earliest of know human civilizations, people realized the importance of finding the exact
value of ПЂ for practical reasons. Even by todays standards, we still only need to know the exact
value of ПЂ to a few decimal place values, although that hasn t stopped mathematicians from
pursuing a more accurate representation for its value throughout time.
The earliest know approximations for the value of ПЂ have been identified on ancient clay tablets,
dated 1900 1650 BC, from the Babylonian civilization which states the value of ПЂ as (25/8) =
3.125 (4) and from the Egyptian civilization, from the Rhind Papyrus(1650BC), which
approximates the value of ПЂ to be (16/9)^2 = 3.1605. (4) Although these earliest of
approximations have been proven to be within 1 percent of todays actual know value, it marks the
point of obsession for mathematicians to find an exact value for ПЂ.
The next advancement in determining a more accurate value didn t occur for more than another
1000 years. Around 250 BC, the Greek mathematician Archimedes developed an approach using
circumscribed and inscribed polygons to prove that the value of pi to be between (223/71) ПЂ (22
/7) (3.1408 ПЂ 3.1429). (23) This geometrical approach was predominantly used by

continues to grow. In a few districts scattered across the country, superintendents refuse to allow
teachers to assign homework to children. The superintendent of Marion County Public Schools in
Florida recently assigned a no homeworkpolicy for the current schoolyear, joining districts in
Massachusetts and Vermont. Most parents and students across the country admired the district s
decision and hoped their own school system would follow suit. A study from Duke University in
2006 showed that assigning homework did improve academic performance, but an excessive

over exaggeration has come up mid way throughout my song when the artist states Do you ever
feel already buried deep six feet under? Screams but no one seems to hear a thing . This
demonstrates a sign of Hyperbole because the artist is showing the emotions she possess when
no one is around to listen to what she has to say, causing her to act as if she were dead, buried
underground which is just another way of feeling as if no one is there for you. But since the

emotions to produce a greater effect because when an individual feels as if no one seems to hear

comparing two unlike things by stating how something is something else when it talks about,
maybe a reason why the doors are closed leads to you opening one that leads to the perfect road.
This shows if you are confused and are struggling to find the perfect path you desire than walk
