In H. G. Wells book The Invisible Man, and Aldous Huxley s Brave New World, a social struggle
between the mainstream society and a character estranged from the established normal behavior of
the masses of people in these novels exists. While the main characters in both of these books are
different from society for entirely different reasons, analyzing these novels using marxist criticism
exemplifies just how similar the societies and main characters really are.
