of flamboyant actresses/actors with demands of: special drinking water; room decor; scented
candles; special food; and the list goes on and on. If these demands are not met you hear of

of top actors and actresses are posted on the internet and magazines for all to see. A list actors
can make tens of millions, per movie and series actors bring in tens of thousands to a million,
per episode. With this information our there for all to see, you would assume there would be no
need for unions, in Hollywood. After all, unions are best known for their work in factories,
where blue collar workers request better pay, secure jobs, and benefits (O.C. Ferrell, G.A. Hirt L.

Place is important in relation to personal and community identity because where we live, in a
way defines us. If we live in the country, we can identify with tropes of bush living or a rural
lifestyle. If we are in the city, that place and cityscape can determine our way of life and sense of
belonging to that place.
Wooramaroo is the story told from the viewpoint of female protagonist Cara McGeever s ten year
old son, Scott, and their change of place as immigrants from inner city working class Liverpool to
Outback Australia in the 1970s.
The novels that have influenced my story are Mullumbimby, Breath, and Heat and Light. Cara
McGeever has suffered loss of place and identity through moving to Australia. Personal and
community identity through place will be discussed through female characters Jo Breen in
Mullumbimby, Eva Sanderson in Breath, and Pearl and Amy Kresinger in Heat and Light.
Life in rural Australian presents strong community spirit and opportunities for Cara to belong to
that space. Outback regions have a strong sense of place because their people experience
commonalities such as dealing with the vagaries of nature. As Tuan (2001, 131) states, Attachment
to place can emerge from the experience of nature s intransigence. The locals bond together in
time of need, as we see at the end when the storm comes to Wooramaroo. It is this vital connection

building a rocketby himself but when he launched it, it exploded and destroyed his mother s

Relationship building is something that a political navigator has no trouble doing. They know
which people to talk to, which to avoid, and which will do them favors and help them throughout ...

Two of these strategies that would work best with me are developing mutual interests with clients
and becoming a collaborator (Gilley, 2006). Developing interests with clients allows me to ask open
ended questions that help to search for common interests. These interests help build rapport, which
can help me develop new ideas or improvements for the organization. Becoming a collaborator
includes tailoring interactions to the audience (Gilley, 2006). I am constantly doing this because not
everyone is going to react the same way, want the same information, or care about the subject.
When common interests are found the relationship and interaction between myself and others will
become more productive or meaningful.
Outside Situations
All of these strategies can be used outside of work as well. This, I believe, is because humans

themes of metaphysical poetry. This style starts and remains a complex work through its entirety,
relying heavily on the use of paradox and violence. These cannot be overlooked in Swift s piece;
his major plot is killing and eating infants. What separates both metaphysical poetry and Swift s
work from other works is its argumentative stance. Most pamphlets of the time would simply offer a
humble solution while Swift fights not only with the audience but with himself to embed his main
