Jessica Logan Cyberbullying
Jessica Logan, who was a 18 year old girl in Ohio committed suicide in her closet after months of
alleged abuse from her classmates in Ohio in July 2008. The hurtful reason was Logan s ex boyfriend
forwarded her nude picture to hundreds of other high school girls. After that, Logan received harassed
and mean messages from them at school, calling her a slut and whore. Logan s mother claims her
daughter s suicide occurred when the harassment became unbearable. They continuously taunting her

In victims of a cyberbully, it causes the emotional, psychological, and physical stress. It increases the
risk of anxiety and depression. The common symptoms of it are changing sleep and eating patterns,
increasing the feeling of loneliness and sadness, losing interested in outside and inside activities, and
receiving more healthy complaints. When the children are cyberbullied in a long time, their reaction
and behaviors would change in some similar ways that the parents could notice. Firstly, they may
miss, skip class, or drop out of school. Then, they may not focus on studying as they used to and
receive the low grades. Later, they may have the low self esteem, harass themselves, or use alcohol or
drugs. The children in high school often think about suicide when they are bullied or cyberbullied.
Hinduja and Patchin said that 20 percent of 2000 student in their research seriously thinking about
attempting suicide and 19 percent reported attempting suicide while they are bullied (The Archives of
suicide Research). There is a serious and hurtful issues of being cyber bullied when the students

Emotional Abuse Literature Review
Introduction
The issue of child emotional abuse is often a difficult topic to discuss as well as treat. Emotional abuse
can be very difficult to recognize since it is generally a relationship between a child and a caretaker
and not a specific incident or series of events that can be pointed to as abuse. In fact, emotional and
psychological maltreatment have no definition that is universally agreed upon, therefore, the two
terms are often used interchangeably. Emotional abuse is the most common form of child abuse.
While emotional abuse can be present absent any other type of abuse, such as physical or sexual
abuse, there is almost certainly emotional abuse present with all other forms of abuse. Emotional
abuse may not leave physical scars but it does appear to leave long lasting psychological scars. While
there is evidence of psychological damage due to emotional abuse, it is not clear exactly how deep and
lasting the damage may be. There is a great need to research the effects, treatment, and interventions
for emotional abuse.

Emotional abuse can cause serious burdens on society. Emotional abuse has a significant cost in
educational and societal failures, crime, and health care costs (Hibbard, Barlow, MacMillan, 2012)
Pediatricians need to be alert and trained in recognizing emotional maltreatment of children. This can
be a very difficult task for pediatricians. Learning to interview children when they are
developmentally ready is an important skill which can be critical in detecting emotional abuse.
Children who have been emotionally abused have higher rates of psychological disorders such as
depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, and aggression. Providers need to be cognizant
of risk factors that may indicate a greater risk for emotional abuse. Some of the risk factors were
parental psychiatric illness, depression, and substance

Why Do People Suffer Cost For Performance Faster And More...
Taking on many different task and multitask is not something many are gifted at. Sometimes doing
one task at a time becomes more beneficial then doing two or more at a time. In this research
Brooklyn College students decided to test if performance faster and more accurate for task repeat
thank task switches and do people suffer cost in performance when switching between two data? After
trials of task multitasking with manipulations like task sequence and cue target delays it was
concluded that task switching can cause task cost and task switching is with and with out delays are
still slower then with no task switching.
Task switching Task sequence effect of reaction time and error rate Taking on many tasks at the same
time can be something very hard to do for some and something others can easily exceed at.
Throughout our day we like to take on more then one task at a time to finish something faster or to
minimize time but research has shown that task switch can cost us time. Stephen Monsell (2003)
conducted a study called Task Switching and concluded that switching between tasks can cause us
time because the brain required loading time , which hinders the focus on the actual task. Loading
time lets our brain focus completely on one task and when that loading time isn t completed it
becomes hard to focus on that specific task; let alone execute it correctly. This causes us to take up
time in between task switching because our brain tries to adjust to the task and

Fargo, and the role of Setting
Fargo, a dark and somewhat humorous crime movie by the Coen Brothers delves into themes of
isolation, morality, and greed. And throughout the film, a very prominent role is played by the setting.
The Coen brothers make sure that no one misses where the story takes place small town upper
Midwest in the middle of a frigid winter. The film makes extensive use of the frozen landscape, the
characterization of rural Midwesterners, and realistic depiction of the events of the story in order to
emphasize these themes. There is a great deal of contrast in this movie between moral and amoral
characters as well as contrast between what the viewer expects from such dark ... Show more content

This is a powerful image that clearly shows the crushed Jerry and his increasing feeling of solitude.
Another use of the setting comes in the form of the characterization. A big contributor to the story and
feel of the film is the characterization of the characters in the film. Again, this Midwestern setting
becomes obvious when the viewer hears the strong upper Midwest accents used by all the residents of
rural Minnesota. Midwesterners have a reputation for being exceedingly friendly and moral, and that
becomes prominent in this film where a number of less than moral actions are portrayed.
Fargo therefore portrays two main types of characters: moral and amoral. Morality is personified by
Marge Gunderson, the pregnant police chief on the trail of the criminals. She portrays the stereotypical
nice attitude in nearly all of her encounters and it takes quite a lot for her to break this demeanor. Even
though she may be investigating the murder scene or interviewing suspects in the case, she maintains
this even tempered friendly attitude.
This optimistic and positive outlook hides her very sharp mind for crime, and contrasts greatly with
the sinister things that are taking place around her. This emphasizes the nature of the events that have
come to pass. Throughout the movie, the disparity between the demeanor of the characters and
surrounding events creates a subtle humor really a second viewing of the movie to

Questions On The Research Process Essay
In addition, (Blakstad, 2008) discusses the research process and defines it as the step by step
procedures of developing one s research . Tuner (2009) indicates that the availability of resources
requirements is major factors to consider when selecting research questions. Sauro (2013) discussion
of the research process provides further details on the factors that contribute to the successful research
question selection.
In selecting a successful research question, the research must be able to identify the researcher must
see the need for this particular study, define the issue, and to find solution or solutions to resolve it.
The research should provide a clear picture for the researcher to discover if the research question can
be solved. How, What, When and Why are major contributing factors, How is to analyze how the
research will be carried out. When, is the appropriate timing that suits all stakeholders that involved
and what the type of study is? The researcher has to be mindful of the topic chosen, it is vital that the
topic is of interest; otherwise, the research may become insignificant, inconsistent or even inadequate.
Why is it significant to conduct a research as such? Daniel (2015) added that these questions are
pertinent, as it acts as an evaluator as to determine if the research question is unclear.
The Collection of data is another factor which contributes to the research question it gives light to the
question and ask the following question, is

The Measures of the Bolsheviks to Maintain Power and Address the Problems of Russia Before the
Outbreak of Civil War
After the Bolsheviks seizure of power in November 1917, Lenin needed to ensure all previously made
promises were kept and that Russia s increasing problems were resolved. The Bolsheviks were a
relatively small party with big plans for Russia a communist state. Is this were to be possible Lenin
would need to gain greater support.
Lenin made several crucial decisions in the early days of peace, bread, land and all power to the soviet
. One his first major changes was the Decree on Land, by making decrees Lenin was being hugely
hypocritical as he was ruling in a very similar way to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This, however, did not have the desired effect as workers began to flee, as food shortages increased, to
the countryside in search of bread. Bag men , or town traders, took machinery, scrap machinery and
timber from their workplaces to trade for grain in the country. The population of Petrograd fell by a
third in the build up to the civil war. The workers did not want to stay in towns and cities when money
was slowly becoming worthless. Bolshevism was more or less unknown outside of Petrograd,
Moscow and the other main towns and cities, ad so Lenin needed as much support here as possible.
Lenin finally pulled out of World War 1 in March 1918, signing the Treaty of Brest Litovsk. The treaty
lost Russia 26% of its population, 27% of its arable land as well as significant chunks of the iron and
coal industry, national minorities etc. Despite meeting the promises of the Bolsheviks for peace, the
treaty created yet more opposition within Russia.
Lenin s methods for dealing with opposition were ruthless, repression and dictatorship. As Russia
moved closer to a civil war, Lenin became increasingly like the Tsar in his way of rule. Non Bolshevik

Bulimia Nervosa Is An Eating Disorder
Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder that consists of the distortion on one s body image and an
obsessive desire to lose weight. It involves binge eating which is the rapid ingesting of large amounts
of food, commonly followed by vomiting, fasting, or purging that is accompanied by depression. An
individual with bulimia will attempt to avoid weight gain by vomiting or using laxatives, diuretics, or
enemas. It is common to see a bulimic individual restrict their food intake or exercise excessively. The
collective notion of a bulimic is that their self worth and self evaluation is strongly influenced by their
weight or body shape. This disorder is not only mentally damaging but also takes a physical toll on the
body. The physical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While only that 2.6% are actually diagnosed as bulimic, up to 10% of women display symptoms of
bulimia but do not meet the criteria to be diagnosed. Apart from the common misconception that only
women develop eating disorders, it is reported that 10% of bulimics are males. I personally never gave
any thought to males suffering from an eating disorder. I have always perceived that males with extra
weight are more socially acceptable compared to women that carry extra weight, and that commonly
men don t view their image as defining to their value.
An interesting fact that I did not know is that 50% of individuals with an eating disorder abuse drugs
and alcohol. It s not shocking to me that bulimics would abuse drugs and alcohol, not only because it
can be used as an escape from the world and themselves, but also because numerous drugs and alcohol
effect appetite, usually in a negative way, aiding to weight loss. This disorder really is a never ending
cycle. First the body distortion image develops, then the binge eating occurs, followed by guilt that
leads to purging, vomiting, etc., which turns into depression that is commonly coped with through
drugs, alcohol, or food, which in turn starts the cycle over again.
Like most disorders, having a good family and friend support group is important to overcoming or
coping with bulimia. This became evident in this case study based off the fact that Amber felt unable

The Magnitude of Ramadan Essay
The Five Pillars of Islam are the framework of Islamic life. First off, a Muslim must have faith in
Allah and believe that there is only one Allah and Muhammad is His messenger. Next, a Muslim has
the duty to pray five times each day, which is considered to be a direct link between him and Allah.
Third, a Muslim must distribute alms and help the needy. Fourth, a Muslim is responsible to keep the
Fast of Ramadan. Lastly, a Muslim is obligated to make a pilgrimage to Mecca in his lifetime. Most

It is very significant that a Muslim spends a lot time with his family and friends, throughout this
month, and realizes what is truly important in his life. Many more Muslims attend Mosques during
Ramadan because they believe that Allah will help them understand the essentials of life.
Throughout Ramadan all Muslims are strictly obligated to pray five times each day and, in addition,
attend Mosque and have a nightly prayer, called Taraween, which is two to three times as long as the
usual daily prayers. Along with praying, Muslims celebrate significant days in the month. On the
evening of the 27th day of the month, Muslims celebrate the Laylat al Qadr (the Night of Power)
(Zahid). This night is
Jafari 3 celebrated because it is believed by all Muslims that it was the night that Muhammad first
received the revelation of the Quran and the night when Allah determines the future of the world for
the next year. By celebrating nights like this along with praying at home and in a Mosque, a Muslim
becomes much closer to Allah and in return gets to know their own identity much better. Reading out
of the Quran and worshipping Allah is one of the most important things to do during the Fast of
Ramadan.

Social Exchange Theory In Road Ends By Mary Lawon
The social exchange theory is prevalent in the three main characters in Road Ends by Mary Lawon.
The exchange theory is the idea that an individual makes a choice by weighing out the costs and
benefits of a situation (Families in Canada, 2007. Pg. 42). Megan, Edward, and Tom all find
themselves in very troubling situations, where they must examine what they have to offer and make a
decision according to the pro s and con s. Megan often finds herself putting the benefit of others above
what is best for her. Her Father, Edward, tries to shelter others from himself, but he only ends up
hurting them more, instead of contributing all of his affection to them. Tom has a more selfish view on
the world, which impacts his ability to properly examine all the factors that affect his situation.
Occasionally, people misjudge their costs and benefits, and end up make the wrong choice; however,
that doesn t necessarily mean that the outcome is unsatisfactory. Megan applies to the social exchange
theory because she puts a lot of thought into leaving home. When she first made the decision, Adam
was just born, and Megan decided that it was in the best interest of her mother to wait until everything
was settled before she would leave. That was a year and a half ago Megan said, flipping the pastry
pastry over and rolling it out again. I had to put it off because after Adam was born you weren t well.
And then Adam got whooping cough, so I put it off again. The Peter and Corey got flu.

The Tragedy Of Mary Todd Lincoln
Research Question: Considering the events of her life, would it be more realistic to consider that Mary

Considering the events of her life, would it be more realistic to consider that Mary Todd Lincoln went
insane/ diagnosable to today s standards of being bipolar, or was she just in a state of post traumatic
stress? From the deaths of her 14 month old brother and mother during childhood, to the neglect she
faced from her son later in life, it was clear that Mary Todd Lincoln certainly dealt with a considerable
amount of stressors in her lifetime. Throughout this study, journal articles, websites, primary sources,
and books were used to provide more insight on the details of her life and what she went through.
Mary Todd Lincoln: A Biography, by Jean Harvey Baker, a U.S. History major with her B.A., M.A.,
and Ph.D in 19th Century Women s History, describes that Mary Todd Lincoln was much maligned
and misunderstood during her lifetime and furthers the developing question as to whether or not she
could be deemed insane. Baker discusses that Mary Lincoln appeared to others as unwomanly, due to
her inclinations to want to share her talents with her husband throughout his political career. Other
claims of her insanity are said to have branched from the torments and misfortunes of those losses she
had to endure in her life beginning at such a young

a famous actress. In Buenos Aires, she got her famous nickname Evita . Like most people she

Norse Myths In Ragnarok
In the book Ragnarok, the thin girl goes through certain events such as the war and her father s
undecided fate, which leads her to escape into the Norse Myths. I think reading the story of Asgard
and the Gods is her antidote to eternal boredom. An antidote is a cure for poison. The poison is the
war and the worry about her father and the cure is the Norse Myths. In my opinion, the thin child
feared God more than she feared death The thin child, thinking of playground cruelty and the Blitz,
liked to glance at the idea that Gods were bad, that things were bad (Pg 123). The Gods she knew
from the stories she read were bad and that was influencing her beliefs. This story reminds be of the
Bible story of Adam and Eve. Looking at the story from another perspective, did the Garden of Eden
become boring and as a result Adam and Eve ate the apple. The apple resembles the Norse Myths
because the apple is the antidote in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve did not know the world prior
to eating the apple and neither did the thin child. The stories she read opened up her imagination and

opinion, the way this works is by keeping your mind busy and occupied. By throwing herself into the
Norse Myths she is keeping her mind occupied from the events happening around her. When the thin

Abolition Essay
Abolition
A Stronger Resistance The abolitionist movement in the United States sought to eradicate slavery
using a wide range of tactics and organizations. The antislavery movement mobilized many African
Americans and some whites who sought to end the institution of slavery. Although both black and
white abolitionists often worked together, the relationship between them was intricate. The struggle
for black abolitionists was much more personal because they wanted to end slavery and also wanted to
gain equal rights for blacks. However, many white abolitionists only sought to end slavery and did not
fight for equality for blacks. From these exceedingly contrasting perspectives and the continuation of
slavery, the sentiment of many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
More militant tactics, such as uprising and revolts, were gaining support in the nineteenth century. Nat
Turner was a black abolitionist that supported the use of aggressive and forceful tactics. In 1831, in
Virginia, he led an insurrection and more than 55 white people were killed. It was very bloody and
violent and angered many whites from its brutality (Nash, 275). Yet, many blacks felt that the only
thing that would get a response was an uprising and taking drastic measures. In Christiana,
Pennsylvania, the Fugitive Slave Laws were passed. These laws stated that whites could recapture
their runaway slaves. Blacks were outraged by the passing of these laws and rioted in response to this
(Roots of Resistance). This demonstrated how blacks would react in manners that were more forceful
and these tactics were used by a number of other abolitionists, however, many still used different
approaches to battling slavery. Many abolitionists used writing to end slavery. In 1827, the first black
newspaper, Freedom s Journal, was created by Samuel Cornish and John Russwurm (Notes, 11/29/00).
This paper spread ideas of freedom and equality and gave hope to the black readers. David Walker, the
son of a free black mother and a slave father, pushed the abolitionist movement into militancy in 1829
when he published David Walker s Appeal. His work inspired blacks to organize and urged slaves to
rise up against their masters and take their freedom by force (Notes, 11/27/00).

Most people, at some point, try to do something to the best of their ability, yet in the end it does not

people do, which is one of the worst environmental actions you can do , is buy a plane ticket. The

their resources and provide quality goods and services rather than pursue environmentally damaging

are many different activities you can do that will not hurt the environment. In Katy Koontz s article

Juvenile Crime Is The Number One Priority
INTRODUCTION Juvenile Crime has been increasing as society progress. Finding possible solutions
to help at risk youth is the number one priority. In society today, federal laws preventing violence
crimes are becoming more detailed and protected. However, it does not seem to stop criminals from
committing illegal acts, especially for at risk children in the city of Chicago. According to ABCNews,
Chicago s Murder rate is four time higher than New York City (Rosenzweig). Juvenile gang activities
are without a doubt, a reality, and is increasing uncontrollably in the city of Chicago, IL. Even though
there is no universal definition for gang , the National Institute of Justice, defined it as an association
with three or more non adult individuals who identify themselves as group that projects intimidation,
with a purpose of engaging in activities deem as a criminal act by society (NIJ). In order to prevent at
risk children from committing juvenile act, gang prevention programs must be supported throughout
the nation, especially in Chicago at the federal level. The following report will analyzed current
programs in United States, then determined whether the programs are contributing to society, and

The International Security Threat Report
The International Security Threat Report provides data on cybersecurity attacks and threats throughout
2012. The report shows that there was a 42% increase in targeted attacks (page 10). Although the
types of attacks have been evolving, the number of people affected and the amount of damage has
increased. Cyber attacks have evolved in such a way that allows them to be a large threat for citizens,
businesses, and governments. Cyber attacks have been putting the privacy and information of citizens
at risk through mobile malware. From 2011 to 2012 the amount of mobile malware increased by 58%
(page 12). The mobile malware was used to steal the the user s information 32% of the time (page 33).
This is especially dangerous considering people increasingly use their phones to store personal
information. Cell phones are tied to the owner s phone contract, which offers an additional way for the
hacker to cause financial damage to the phone s owner. Cell phone users can decrease the risk of

Examination Of The Bones And The Data Gathered
Introduction: Last week, a couple running in the park came across some bones. They went to the
police to report what they ve found. The bones were then sent in to be observed and tested to identify
who the bones belonged to. Based upon the analysis of the bones and the data gathered, the conclusion
is that the bones belonged an Asian female over 30 years of age that was between the height of 4 8 and
5 3 .
Summary of Findings: sex: Through examination of the bones, the individual is identified as a female.
The main bones used to determine sex are the pelvis and the skull. The pelvis is a crucial indicator of
gender, but because the individual is small in stature, the pelvis may not be as accurate. Nevertheless,

These features indicate that the individual was or above the age of 30. However, the exact age at this
time cannot be determined based on the bones found due to the dependence on developmental
occurrences that take place conclude approximately at the age of 30 in the human pelvic girdle. height
: The height of the individual was determined to be between 4 8 and 5 3 based on the measurements
taken of the humerus bone. The humerus bone had the most important information to investigate the
approximate height of the individual based on the bone s maximum length. It was found that the
maximum length of the humerus was 270 mm, or 27.0 cm. After finding the maximum length of the
humerus, the number was plugged into the regression formula for the correct sex and ethnicity (in this
case it was female and Asian) to provide with the maximum and minimum heights. Normally, the
femur is predominantly used to find the height of an individual but there was no available regression
formula for a female of the Asian ethnicity.
Further Analysis: Facial reconstruction is a method of identifying human remains through an artist
modeling clay into an approximate reconstruction of the deceased person s face. The facial features
are based on the average soft tissue thickness over various places on the skull and jaw. These vary a

Gender Inequality Of Equal Pay For Women
Introduction:
On January 29, 2016, The White House Press Office released a FACT SHEET on new steps to
advance equal pay for women. This FACT SHEET states that,
the median wage of a woman working full time all year in the United States is about $39,600 only 79
percent of a man s median earnings of $50,400 (The White House, 2016).
However, many scholars and economists disagree that a gender wage gap exists. In addition,
conservative political experts and bloggers promote the notion that gender based wage gap is an idea
propagated by feminists, women empowering organizations, and progressives. However, almost all the
working women in the United States, and organizations such as Institute for Women s Policy Research
(IRWP), and American Association of University Women (AAAU), strongly believe in the existence
of the gender wage gap.
This sociological issue of equal pay for women is extremely relevant in today s environment where
women perform equal work as men in many occupations. Furthermore, with almost 50% of the work
force being women, women contributing equally to the family income, and a large number of women
being the single parents supporting children, lack of equal pay over time could increase the poverty
rates for women (White House, 2016). In addition, IWPR s 2015 report on the status of American
women, states that if women receive equal pay for the same work, the poverty rate among women will
see a reduction from 8.2% to 4%, an almost 50% reduction (Hess et

Case Study Of REEBOK FRAUD Case
REEBOK FRAUD CASE:
A jolt was seen in the corporate India in May 2012, when Reebok India company (a subsidiary of
Germany headquartered Adidas since 2005) filed a complaint claiming criminal conduct by its former
Managing Director, Subhinder Singh Prem, and former Chief Operating Officer, Vishnu Bhagat. This
criminal complaint was filed by Reebok India s Financial Director, Shahin Padath, on behalf of the
company and alleged a fraud to the tune of a monstrous 87 billion. Although the sum was later
downed to 8.7 billion, the fraud still faced the attention of various investigation agencies. Five years
and various investigative reports and chargesheets later, the case still goes on.

The collective understanding of all the three investigative agencies records in September 2012, four
months after the criminal complaint was filed, detected systematic mismanagement in the running of
the company, and the keeping of its accounts. The mismanagement included violations of business
procedures (over invoicing and overvalued invoicing, for instance), which in turn could have led to
income tax violations.
The IT Department
The IT Department concluded a 1.4 billion tax evasion, and assured that they would ensure that the
company could not later claim bad debt since it did not appear that Reebok India had any serious
borrowings or lending on record. Bad debt is a debt written off by a creditor as a loss due to inability
of recuperation. The outcome of the IT Department s review process still awaits.

Leadership Theories Of The Great Man Theory
Leaders are born not mad, I don t fully agree with this statement. I believe that a leader can be born
with leadership traits but will then have to develop these traits and other characteristics and decision
making techniques to become an effective leader. I will justify this by explaining the four main
categories of leadership theories
➢ Great Man Theory
➢ Trait Theory
➢ Behavioral Theory
➢ Contingency theory
Situational theory
Path goal theory
Participation theory model
There are many different leadership theories; these leadership theories can be places into four main
categories:
1. Great Man Theories this theory assumes that leadership can be inherited, that they are born not
taught. The Great Man theory reveals great leaders as heroic, mythic and certain to rise to leadership
when needed. A leader is born with the required core characteristics of a great leader including
confidence, intelligence and social skills. The term Great Man theory was used because at the time
leadership was thought to be a primarily male quality.
2. Trait Theories theories that consider personal qualities and characteristics that differentiate leaders
from non leaders (Robbins, Millett, Maree Boyle Tim Judge, Organisational Behaviour). Personal
traits that are common among successful leaders are:
Drive: having high energy, display initiative and are tenacious
Self confidence: trusting themselves and have confidence in their abilities
Creativity: are creative and original

Introduction
The Vlad s case also called as Darnell s case was an important English case law fought by Five
Knights, one of them being Thomas Darnell (also called as Five Knights case) against the forced loans
declared by King Charles I in Common Law Court.
Facts
The Kingdom of Great Britain was in war with Spain and French and the King of Britain, Charles I
was in need of money and he had exhausted all the sources to raise the money. The Parliament of 1626
had not voted for taxation, Charles decided to demand money from his subjects by sending request
letters . As most of them denied to pay the money, Charles declared Forced Loans(The Loan of Five
Subsidies) and denial to repayment will be answerable to Privy Council. Apart levying forced loans,

Social Media And Electronic Communication
Communication
Electronic communication technologies influence the social development of adolescents in several
ways including interpersonal communication, and emphasized that interpersonal communications are
depersonalized because adolescent now conduct a higher proportion of communication electronically
rather than face to face or voice to voice. (Subrahmanyam greenfield, 2008). Any type technology to
communicate with others, such as cell phones, instant messaging, and social networking sites, it
deprives any visual or auditory cues of facial expression, body language, and voice dynamics (Cyr,
Berman, Smith, 2014). Interpersonal relationship problems arise when messages on either end are
misunderstood (Erozkan, 2013).
When adolescents communicate face to face, it provides an adequate tone of voice, therefore the
message is more clearly, in contrast, when using social media, the reader may misinterpret the
message. Erozkan (2013) emphasized that without effective communication, a message can turn into
error, misunderstanding, or frustration. Communication is the basis of personal relationships and
effective communication happens when the message that is sent is the same message that is received
(Erozkan, 2013). This can cause differences in relationships as interactions face to face are necessary.
Although face to face interactions provides more meaning to relationships, adolescents opt to use their
electronic communication. Some adolescents might be more expressive

The Effects Of Social Stories On The Classroom For...
Elementary students who lack vocabulary to successfully express themselves may use aggression to
obtain their wants and needs. A social story can be defined as a story written to allow a child to
emphasize a social skill such as how to ask for a turn, usually after a troublesome behavior occurs
such as displaying aggression. Social stories can be used successfully as an intervention in the
classroom for children ages 4 5 for teaching and modeling appropriate social behaviors. Using social
stories alone may not be as successful as the use of social stories combined with contingencies such
as: Verbal prompting and the use of a response cost token economy where tokens can be used to
obtain rewards. Current research studies which conclude social studies are successful in changing
behavior are being challenged by additional research which concludes prior success may be due to
confounding variables, questionable research design and implementation. The purpose of this study
was to investigate whether social stories are used more successfully alone or when paired with
contingencies such as a response cost token economy or verbal prompting.

Symmetric and Asymmetric Encryption

1. Introduction
When it comes to information and about this concept related to the digital medium, particularly in the
use of public computer networks like the Internet, various services relevant to human s credibility in
computing systems are performed. In fact, they are really important in the fundamentals of security
information that are defined by the availability, integrity, confidentiality, authentication, non

Thus, it is essential that computational techniques are performed so that the requirements of
information protection are met. In this scenario are presented the two basic types of encryption,
symmetric or private key and public key or asymmetric.
2. Symmetric or Private Key Encryption
The oldest cryptography model, where the key,the element that gives access to the hidden message
exchanged between sender and recipient is equal (symmetric) for both of them and should remain
secret (private). Typically, this key is represented by a password, used by both the sender to encrypt
the message and the recipient to decrypt it.
Essentially, when the sender encrypts a message, it uses a cipher algorithm to convert the plain text of
the message into cipher text. When the destination deciphers a message, it uses the corresponding
deciphering algorithm to convert the cipher text back into a clear message. If an intruder knows the
cipher algorithm, s/he could just decipher an encrypted message as easily as the destination. The
solution in the use of private key encryption proposes that when the sender encrypts a message,

The Military Force of Thailand
As far as we are concerned, unlike other Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia and others,
Thailand military forces portrayed a significant concern pertaining to internal turbulence within
Thailand. (Simon, 2000, p. 13) This is because, for several decades, since communist aggression and
until todays, internal security has become the main core focus of Thailand military forces in the
aspects of defence and security of Thailand (Taylor, 2013, p. 12); compared to other aspects such as
external defence. Before discussing or deliberating the roles of Thailand military forces in internal
security, it is better for us to understand the definition of internal security because it might raise
confusion as it both aspects are associated closely with the national interest of a country. As coined by
the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste National Parliament (2003), internal security is defined as an
activity or program advanced by the State (Government) with the aims to guarantee order, security and
public peacefulness, to safeguards people and goods, to prevent law breaking and contribute to
guarantee the normal functioning of the democratic institutions. Through this clear definition, it is
clear that external security and internal security are different with each other. In Thailand, the military
undertook a crucial role of internal security pertaining to the Burmese refugees and insurgency in the
southernmost of Thailand insurgency by the Malay Muslim insurgent. (Taylor,

Gastrointestinal Illness Caused By The Species
Cryptosporidiosis is one of the most known gastrointestinal illness caused by the genus of
Cryptosporidium. Cryptosporidiosis, according to the CDC, has become one of the most common
causes of waterborne diseases in the United States, with outbreaks increasing annually. An outbreak of
Cryptosporidiosis, in Milwaukee in 1993 affected around 400,000 people and was traced to the city s
water supply (NFID, 2008). The most common symptom associated with this disease is Diarrhea.
Pathophysiology

The most known cause or reason that you can get Cryptosporidiosis is by digesting contaminated
water, but also it can be spread by humans through sexual behavior (Jacqueline, 2015). A person can
get infected with Cryptosporidiosis by digesting contaminated water, this can occur through drinking
or swimming in infected water, swallowing or putting something infected in the mouth (such as
fingers), being exposed to human feces through sexual contact , or by eating uncooked food (such as
salad greens) that has been contaminated (John et al. 2012). Most people who experience significant
symptoms from Cryptosporidiosis have an altered immune system, and suffer from diseases such as
AIDS and cancer (Jaqueline, 2015). Due to a protective outer shell, Cryptosporidium can live outside
of the body for several months and are very resistant to the chlorine based disinfectants that are often
used to treat water sources (GEEH, 2013).
Clinical Manifestation Cysts of Cryptosporidia mature in the intestine and bile ducts within three to
five days of ingestion. Many individuals are infected without any illness, but the major symptom of
Cryptosporidiosis is diarrhea, which is often watery. Also some other symptoms you may have with
this disease are Dehydration, low grade fever, nausea, and abdominal cramps (Jaqueline, 2015). The

Becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse Becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse is something I decided to
wanted to do while working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. It is a very fulfilling experience. Caring
for others is something that takes patience, hard work, sympathy, and education. Licensed Practical
Nurses provide a number of services and have many duties. Most duties are supervised under a
Register Nurse or a doctor. Some duties include measuring vital signs, maintaining patient records,
dressing wounds, helping with personal hygiene just to name a few things. The duties of a LPN vary
from state to state. There are many career options available for LPNs. Many LPNs start their careers in
nursing homes for the elderly. This is because environments such as hospitals like to see long term
care experience on a LPN s resume. Some LPNs do in home care services. This is when the LPN goes
to the patient s home and takes care of what they need in the privacy of their own home. You ll find
LPNs working in a hospital setting often as well doing many tasks and working in different
departments. Doctor s offices have LPNs working for them as well. There are many different routes a
LPN can go in their field. The daily routine for a LPN usually goes as follows. First, they make sure
they get to work with enough time before their shift begins to go over the charts made by the previous

The Transformation Of The Flappers In The 1920 s
In the age before the Roaring Twenties, women were still repressed and followed a strict dress code.
They wore long dress that came down to their toes, waists were cinched and arms and legs were
covered. However, in the 1920s, new generation for women begun. Trendy young women in Western
area were nicknamed the flapper. Flappers had a whole new style. They had short haircuts called
bobbed hair, wore short skirts and wore heavy makeups. The Flappers image consisted of drastic to
some, shocking changes in women s clothing and hair. Nearly every article of clothing was trimmed
down and lightened in order to make movement easier. (Rosenberg) Not only they had a whole new
style, but they had whole new attitudes and behaviors too. Flappers drank, smoke, drove, enjoyed jazz
music, and had casual sex. They were symbol of women s freedom and liberation, as well as the
symbol of change in women s life and attitudes towards the social norms expected from women.
The term flapper first appeared in England as a popular slang to describe young girls. By the 1890s,
the word flapper was emerging in England as popular slang both for a very young prostitute, and in a
more general and less derogatory sense of any lively mid teenage girl. (Wikipedia) The term flapper
stuck and emerged in the United States during the Roaring Twenties, representing young, liberated
women. Many authors and artists used the term and even serious newspaper such as The New York

Minimum Wage Thesis
The modern minimum wage was established by the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (FLSA)
Franklin Roosevelt signed the law which passed by an overwhelming majority (Grossman, 1978).
While a minimum wage is certainly an altruistic idea and one that receives widespread public support,
there is a question among economists such as Richard Burkhauser as to the effectiveness of minimum
wage on reducing the level of poverty. Minimum wage increases (1998 2003) did not affect poverty
rates overall, or among the working poor (Burkhauser Sabia, 2007). In addition, some of the minimum
wage laws which came before the FLSA were challenged in the Supreme Court, such as in Schecter
Poultry Corporate v. U.S in 1935, and declared unconstitutional. While there ... Show more content on

The law was controversial amongst business owners who were required to pay workers minimum
wages based on hundreds of different industry codes. The codes created confusion amongst workers as
well as corporations and resulted in situations where workers were making different hourly rates at
different times of the day (Jones, 2011). The NIRA was eventually ruled unconstitutional by the
decision in Schecter Poultry Corporate v. U.S in 1935. Finally, Congress passed the Fair Labor
Standards Act of 1938, the last major piece of the New Deal legislation, which was signed into law by
Franklin Roosevelt. The FLSA was the first blanket federal minimum wage law passed by Congress,
which covered workers in nearly all industries. The touted benefits of a federal minimum wage were
stated by FDR, I laid down the simple proposition that nobody is going to starve in this country. It
seems to me to be equally plain that no business which depends for existence on paying less than
living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country (Roosevelt, 1933). Roosevelt
wanted to be clear that he did not define a living wage by the ability to survive rather that those
receiving a minimum wage should be living in some level of comfort. The FLSA of 1938 established a
minimum wage of $0.25 an hour for the first year, $0.30 an hour for the next six years, and $0.40 an
hour in particular industries ( Fair Labor Standard... ,

HIST 2200 U.S. History Since 1877
Summer 2015
Prof. Hardin September 1st, 1939 is a day that changed the course of history. Lives were lost, families
ripped apart, towns destroyed, and jobs were created. World War II had just begun with the majority of
the main countries in our world participating in the war that would ultimately kill millions of soldiers
and civilians. Two years later, on December 8th, 1941 after the Japanese surprisingly attacked Pearl
Harbor, the United States entered the war fully. During this time, the U.S. enlisted the help of the
entire nation; soldiers, factory workers, nurses, and doctors were required both overseas and on the
home front. While many men were sent to fight over seas or prepare at combat training on bases in the
U.S., factories and other business were left with a shortage of workers. World War II encouraged, or
more accurately, forced, women and wives to leave their homes to begin working. A familiar image
that many Americans are familiar with is of the women flexing announcing We Can Do It! , which is
greatly recognized as a symbol of the female presence in the workforce. Young adults dropped out of
school to help out in numerous ways. The amount of children working also increased greatly.
Desperate measures to save money and help in the wartime effort lead to many drastic changes in
roles and lifestyles of American families on the home front.

Impact Of Green Supply Chain Management On Industry,...
This paper investigates the impact of green supply chain management on industry, consumer
perception and environment. Through research into multiple companies and case studies, a distorted
perception among large corporations shows a historic struggle to find a balance between profit and
sustainability. However, the potential long term effects of the lack of environmental courtesy cannot
be undone and therefore must be carefully engineered. Multi billion dollar automotive corporations
such as Hyundai and Toyota will be discussed and studied in depth to conclude the innovative changes
contributed in the automotive industry resulting in maximum efficiency in lean and green production.
Additionally, while studying these companies, the overall question of whether intentional sustainable
practices provide increased customer satisfaction and comfort is answered through a survey given to
100 random people. In this small sample, it was found that 33% of consumers care about green
business practices in automotive production but only 8% saw an increase in value because of it.

Several cases have been fought for the right to choose. Many of these have been hard cases but they
stuck with it, and many people believe that that is why we have some of the rights we do today. Here
are some important cases:
1. 1965 Griswold vs. Connecticut. Upheld the right to privacy and ended the ban on birth control.
Eight years later, the Supreme Court ruled the right to privacy included abortions.
2. 1973 Roe vs. Wade. The state of Texas had outlawed abortions. The
Supreme Court declared the law unconstitutional, bur refused to order an injunction against the state.
On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court voted the right to privacy included abortions.
3. 1976 Planned Parenthood vs. Danforth. Ruled that requiring consent by the husband and the
consent from a parent if a person was under 18 was unconstitutional. This case supported a woman s
control over her own body and reproductive system.
To conclude about Pro Choice I will state what Dana Pentoney has said:
Abortion deals with one s private life and should have nothing to do with the government. However,
abortion should not be used as a means of birth control, but if a fetus will be unwanted, it is better to
be aborted than to be abused or neglected. Now onto Pro Life. This is what

The Effect Of Bacterial Growth On Space Flight
Early studies have documented that bacterial growth increases in space flight; yet, the inherent
mechanisms beholden to this growth have not been discovered. As the bacteria devour nutrients, they
discharge corollary that can affect growth and impact ultimate cell population denseness. It is
acknowledged that these metabolic processes charge a reduction in density of the fluid zone and the
solute gradient about every cell. Along this planet, this fluctuation in density leads to an elasticity
transfer of the expelled by products. The fluid motion enclosing the cells can be changed through the
restricting of the movement to just diffusion because of the lack of activity and deposit in the low
gravity space flight surroundings. From this biophysical representation, it was speculated that an
increase in speed impacts the lag phase period and the final cell s denseness of suspended cultures of
bacteria in a deviating way. This is because of the modifications obtained in the extra cellular fluid
constitution. Contained in the paper are experiments of different accelerations that frequently
sustained this hypothesis, culmination in foreseeable growth kinetics. Other experiments show plumes
of fluid that are visible to the naked eye emerging from metabolizing bacterial cultures. If related fluid
kinetics were discovered to come about on a microscopic level, it might inform us of how acceleration
impacts bacterium growth kinetics.

Some rock s in the Earth s interior that are solid, are so hot that, if the pressure on these were released,
or they are convected into a lower pressure zone, they could begin to melt Volatiles: The melting
temperatures of minerals are reduced under high water pressure. Consequently wet rocks (rocks
containing water) melt at lower temperatures that do dry rock containing identical mineral
assemblages Factors influencing the viscosity of magmas Higher temperatures cause atoms to spread
out and decrease in density, so magma at higher temperature is less viscous and will flow more easily
Dissolved gases make the magma more fluid and buoyant. The higher the temperature the more the

Analysis Of The Book Hosea Essay
Hosea is a polemic against idolatry and spiritual infidelity in the nation of Israel while providing hope
for the repentant of restored covenant relationship with God. The author in no uncertain terms
condemns those who look to anything other than God to satisfy them or meet their needs, whether
political (5:13; 7:3 7, 8 12), financial (4:2) or spiritual (13:2), God alone is all sufficient. The author
uses many different styles when writing the story of Hosea, he is both technical and logically
persuasive when condemning the sins of Israel and the subsequent response of judgment from God.
He mimics Israelite courtroom language, declaring that God is bringing a charge against the people
(4:1), and then thoroughly lays out the specific offenses they have committed. On the other hand, the
author also evokes emotion, both by using the story of Hosea and Gomer showcasing marital imagery
between God and Israel but also by graphically revealing the heart and emotion of God, who declares,
My heart recoils within me: my compassion grows warm and tender (11:8) when thinking about his
beloved bride. The argument is both detailed and logical (I.e. Israel has sinned, will not repent, and
thus they will be judged), but also an emotionally captivating and persuasive saga of God s
unrelenting love for a bride who is utterly undeserving.
As aforementioned, the writing of Hosea, begins as a well formed and tightly structured arrangement
but most of the discourse are repetitive and

The Wheaton Ice Man In Arthur Miller s Death Of A Salesman
Harold Grange, also known as Red, the Galloping Ghost, or the Wheaton Ice Man, was an inspiration
to a depressed America. His real life persona had such an influence throughout America that he was
mentioned in Arthur Miller s play, Death of a Salesman. Miller utilizes Grange as a representation of
the American dream and Willy s extreme expectations of his son, Biff. The NFL has always had those
players who stand out, not only as athletes, but as role models. Red Grange is one football player who
deserves to be acknowledged for his greatness on and off the field. He grew up in Wheaton, Illinois
with his brother, Garland, and his father. During high school, he played sports and worked at an ice
company, hence the nickname the Wheaton Ice Man. He entered into University of Illinois Urbana
Champaign in 1922. Noticing his distinct hair color, his football teammates called him Red. Those
same players supported Grange as he played for the Bears in 1925. Fans swarmed the stands to see
him play. Grange was named the Galloping Ghost because he could seamlessly slither past his
opponents to score touchdowns. In regard to the increase of revenue after Grange joined the NFL, the
official NFL website states, ...the NFL made its greatest coup in gaining national recognition. Shortly
after the University of Illinois season ended in November, All American halfback Harold (Red)
Grange signed a contract to play with the Chicago Bears. On Thanksgiving Day, a crowd of 36,000 the

Essay on Zero Tolerance Policy of Education in America
Zero Tolerance Policy of Education in America In Bedford, Texas, a 16 year old honor student was
expelled after a security guard noticed a kitchen knife on the floor of the student s car. The knife
apparently had fallen unnoticed as the student carted some of his grandmother s possessions to
Goodwill. He was ordered to spend a year in a juvenile justice education program and banished from
district property and school sponsored activities. [...] In Deer Lakes, Pennsylvania, a kindergarten
student was suspended for bringing a toy axe to school. He was dressed as a firefighter for Halloween.
[...] In Thornton, Colorado, a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If a student was a relatively good kid with no past disciplinary actions taken against him or her, they
were much more likely to have a punishment that actually taught them something, rather than creating
a sense of resentment towards the school authorities, and the system in general. Before the era of zero
tolerance, a kid with a great future ahead could not screw it all up by making one simple mistake.
The line that zero tolerance crosses is one of intent. Zero tolerance looks only at the offense that has
been made, not at the circumstances that brought it about. If someone with no intent of doing
something unlawful accidentally commits a crime, they are punished equally with one who
deliberately inflicts harm.
So how did zero tolerance laws come about? When major incidences of school disruption, like the
Columbine shooting, started occurring, school officials decided they needed to start cracking down on
discipline. After realizing certain things were starting to get out of hand, the federal government made
it mandatory for, [...] a zero tolerance policy toward the possession of illegal drugs and weapons on
school grounds, (Copenhaver 1).
In the beginning days of zero tolerance, the laws truly did focus on behavior that could be deemed
dangerous and criminal, and required a mandatory expulsion for

  • 5. Emotional Abuse Literature Review Introduction The issue of child emotional abuse is often a difficult topic to discuss as well as treat. Emotional abuse can be very difficult to recognize since it is generally a relationship between a child and a caretaker and not a specific incident or series of events that can be pointed to as abuse. In fact, emotional and psychological maltreatment have no definition that is universally agreed upon, therefore, the two terms are often used interchangeably. Emotional abuse is the most common form of child abuse. While emotional abuse can be present absent any other type of abuse, such as physical or sexual abuse, there is almost certainly emotional abuse present with all other forms of abuse. Emotional abuse may not leave physical scars but it does appear to leave long lasting psychological scars. While there is evidence of psychological damage due to emotional abuse, it is not clear exactly how deep and lasting the damage may be. There is a great need to research the effects, treatment, and interventions for emotional abuse. Literature Review Hibbard, Barlow ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Emotional abuse has a significant cost in educational and societal failures, crime, and health care costs (Hibbard, Barlow, MacMillan, 2012) Pediatricians need to be alert and trained in recognizing emotional maltreatment of children. This can be a very difficult task for pediatricians. Learning to interview children when they are developmentally ready is an important skill which can be critical in detecting emotional abuse. In this research Brooklyn College students decided to test if performance faster and more accurate for task repeat thank task switches and do people suffer cost in performance when switching between two data? After trials of task multitasking with manipulations like task sequence and cue target delays it was concluded that task switching can cause task cost and task switching is with and with out delays are still slower then with no task switching. Throughout our day we like to take on more then one task at a time to finish something faster or to minimize time but research has shown that task switch can cost us time. Stephen Monsell (2003) conducted a study called Task Switching and concluded that switching between tasks can cause us time because the brain required loading time , which hinders the focus on the actual task. Loading time lets our brain focus completely on one task and when that loading time isn t completed it becomes hard to focus on that specific task; let alone execute it correctly. This causes us to take up time in between task switching because our brain tries to adjust to the task and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

And throughout the film, a very prominent role is played by the setting. The Coen brothers make sure that no one misses where the story takes place small town upper Midwest in the middle of a frigid winter. The film makes extensive use of the frozen landscape, the characterization of rural Midwesterners, and realistic depiction of the events of the story in order to emphasize these themes. This is a powerful image that clearly shows the crushed Jerry and his increasing feeling of solitude. Another use of the setting comes in the form of the characterization. A big contributor to the story and feel of the film is the characterization of the characters in the film. Again, this Midwestern setting becomes obvious when the viewer hears the strong upper Midwest accents used by all the residents of rural Minnesota. Midwesterners have a reputation for being exceedingly friendly and moral, and that becomes prominent in this film where a number of less than moral actions are portrayed. Fargo therefore portrays two main types of characters: moral and amoral. Morality is personified by Marge Gunderson, the pregnant police chief on the trail of the criminals. She portrays the stereotypical nice attitude in nearly all of her encounters and it takes quite a lot for her to break this demeanor. Even though she may be investigating the murder scene or interviewing suspects in the case, she maintains this even tempered friendly attitude. This optimistic and positive outlook hides her very sharp mind for crime, and contrasts greatly with the sinister things that are taking place around her. This emphasizes the nature of the events that have come to pass. Throughout the movie, the disparity between the demeanor of the characters and surrounding events creates a subtle humor really a second viewing of the movie to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I personally never gave any thought to males suffering from an eating disorder. I have always perceived that males with extra weight are more socially acceptable compared to women that carry extra weight, and that commonly men don t view their image as defining to their value. An interesting fact that I did not know is that 50% of individuals with an eating disorder abuse drugs and alcohol. It s not shocking to me that bulimics would abuse drugs and alcohol, not only because it can be used as an escape from the world and themselves, but also because numerous drugs and alcohol effect appetite, usually in a negative way, aiding to weight loss. This disorder really is a never ending cycle. First the body distortion image develops, then the binge eating occurs, followed by guilt that leads to purging, vomiting, etc., which turns into depression that is commonly coped with through drugs, alcohol, or food, which in turn starts the cycle over again. • 14. Social Exchange Theory In Road Ends By Mary Lawon The social exchange theory is prevalent in the three main characters in Road Ends by Mary Lawon. The exchange theory is the idea that an individual makes a choice by weighing out the costs and benefits of a situation (Families in Canada, 2007. Pg. 42). Megan, Edward, and Tom all find themselves in very troubling situations, where they must examine what they have to offer and make a decision according to the pro s and con s. Megan often finds herself putting the benefit of others above what is best for her. Her Father, Edward, tries to shelter others from himself, but he only ends up hurting them more, instead of contributing all of his affection to them. Tom has a more selfish view on the world, which impacts his ability to properly examine all the factors that affect his situation. Occasionally, people misjudge their costs and benefits, and end up make the wrong choice; however, that doesn t necessarily mean that the outcome is unsatisfactory. Yet, many blacks felt that the only thing that would get a response was an uprising and taking drastic measures. In Christiana, Pennsylvania, the Fugitive Slave Laws were passed. These laws stated that whites could recapture their runaway slaves. Blacks were outraged by the passing of these laws and rioted in response to this (Roots of Resistance). This demonstrated how blacks would react in manners that were more forceful and these tactics were used by a number of other abolitionists, however, many still used different approaches to battling slavery. The bones were then sent in to be observed and tested to identify who the bones belonged to. Based upon the analysis of the bones and the data gathered, the conclusion is that the bones belonged an Asian female over 30 years of age that was between the height of 4 8 and 5 3 . Summary of Findings: sex: Through examination of the bones, the individual is identified as a female. The main bones used to determine sex are the pelvis and the skull. The humerus bone had the most important information to investigate the approximate height of the individual based on the bone s maximum length. It was found that the maximum length of the humerus was 270 mm, or 27.0 cm. After finding the maximum length of the humerus, the number was plugged into the regression formula for the correct sex and ethnicity (in this case it was female and Asian) to provide with the maximum and minimum heights. Normally, the femur is predominantly used to find the height of an individual but there was no available regression formula for a female of the Asian ethnicity. • 23. Gender Inequality Of Equal Pay For Women Introduction: On January 29, 2016, The White House Press Office released a FACT SHEET on new steps to advance equal pay for women. This FACT SHEET states that, the median wage of a woman working full time all year in the United States is about $39,600 only 79 percent of a man s median earnings of $50,400 (The White House, 2016). However, many scholars and economists disagree that a gender wage gap exists. In addition, conservative political experts and bloggers promote the notion that gender based wage gap is an idea propagated by feminists, women empowering organizations, and progressives. However, almost all the working women in the United States, and organizations such as Institute for Women s Policy Research (IRWP), and American Association of University Women (AAAU), strongly believe in the existence of the gender wage gap. This sociological issue of equal pay for women is extremely relevant in today s environment where women perform equal work as men in many occupations. Furthermore, with almost 50% of the work force being women, women contributing equally to the family income, and a large number of women being the single parents supporting children, lack of equal pay over time could increase the poverty rates for women (White House, 2016). In addition, IWPR s 2015 report on the status of American women, states that if women receive equal pay for the same work, the poverty rate among women will see a reduction from 8.2% to 4%, an almost 50% reduction (Hess et ... Social Media And Electronic Communication Communication Electronic communication technologies influence the social development of adolescents in several ways including interpersonal communication, and emphasized that interpersonal communications are depersonalized because adolescent now conduct a higher proportion of communication electronically rather than face to face or voice to voice. (Subrahmanyam greenfield, 2008). Any type technology to communicate with others, such as cell phones, instant messaging, and social networking sites, it deprives any visual or auditory cues of facial expression, body language, and voice dynamics (Cyr, Berman, Smith, 2014). Interpersonal relationship problems arise when messages on either end are misunderstood (Erozkan, 2013). When adolescents communicate face to face, it provides an adequate tone of voice, therefore the message is more clearly, in contrast, when using social media, the reader may misinterpret the message. Erozkan (2013) emphasized that without effective communication, a message can turn into error, misunderstanding, or frustration. Communication is the basis of personal relationships and effective communication happens when the message that is sent is the same message that is received (Erozkan, 2013). A social story can be defined as a story written to allow a child to emphasize a social skill such as how to ask for a turn, usually after a troublesome behavior occurs such as displaying aggression. Social stories can be used successfully as an intervention in the classroom for children ages 4 5 for teaching and modeling appropriate social behaviors. Using social stories alone may not be as successful as the use of social stories combined with contingencies such as: Verbal prompting and the use of a response cost token economy where tokens can be used to obtain rewards. Current research studies which conclude social studies are successful in changing behavior are being challenged by additional research which concludes prior success may be due to confounding variables, questionable research design and implementation. Typically, this key is represented by a password, used by both the sender to encrypt the message and the recipient to decrypt it. Essentially, when the sender encrypts a message, it uses a cipher algorithm to convert the plain text of the message into cipher text. When the destination deciphers a message, it uses the corresponding deciphering algorithm to convert the cipher text back into a clear message. If an intruder knows the cipher algorithm, s/he could just decipher an encrypted message as easily as the destination. The Military Force of Thailand As far as we are concerned, unlike other Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia and others, Thailand military forces portrayed a significant concern pertaining to internal turbulence within Thailand. As the bacteria devour nutrients, they discharge corollary that can affect growth and impact ultimate cell population denseness. It is acknowledged that these metabolic processes charge a reduction in density of the fluid zone and the solute gradient about every cell. Along this planet, this fluctuation in density leads to an elasticity transfer of the expelled by products. The fluid motion enclosing the cells can be changed through the restricting of the movement to just diffusion because of the lack of activity and deposit in the low gravity space flight surroundings. From this biophysical representation, it was speculated that an increase in speed impacts the lag phase period and the final cell s denseness of suspended cultures of bacteria in a deviating way. This is because of the modifications obtained in the extra cellular fluid constitution. Contained in the paper are experiments of different accelerations that frequently sustained this hypothesis, culmination in foreseeable growth kinetics. Other experiments show plumes of fluid that are visible to the naked eye emerging from metabolizing bacterial cultures. If related fluid kinetics were discovered to come about on a microscopic level, it might inform us of how acceleration impacts bacterium growth kinetics. Introduction Most discoveries point to ... • 45. Analysis Of The Book Hosea Essay Hosea is a polemic against idolatry and spiritual infidelity in the nation of Israel while providing hope for the repentant of restored covenant relationship with God. The author in no uncertain terms condemns those who look to anything other than God to satisfy them or meet their needs, whether political (5:13; 7:3 7, 8 12), financial (4:2) or spiritual (13:2), God alone is all sufficient. The author uses many different styles when writing the story of Hosea, he is both technical and logically persuasive when condemning the sins of Israel and the subsequent response of judgment from God. He mimics Israelite courtroom language, declaring that God is bringing a charge against the people (4:1), and then thoroughly lays out the specific offenses they have committed. On the other hand, the author also evokes emotion, both by using the story of Hosea and Gomer showcasing marital imagery between God and Israel but also by graphically revealing the heart and emotion of God, who declares, My heart recoils within me: my compassion grows warm and tender (11:8) when thinking about his beloved bride. The argument is both detailed and logical (I.e. Israel has sinned, will not repent, and thus they will be judged), but also an emotionally captivating and persuasive saga of God s unrelenting love for a bride who is utterly undeserving. As aforementioned, the writing of Hosea, begins as a well formed and tightly structured arrangement but most of the discourse are repetitive and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His real life persona had such an influence throughout America that he was mentioned in Arthur Miller s play, Death of a Salesman. Miller utilizes Grange as a representation of the American dream and Willy s extreme expectations of his son, Biff. The NFL has always had those players who stand out, not only as athletes, but as role models. Red Grange is one football player who deserves to be acknowledged for his greatness on and off the field. He grew up in Wheaton, Illinois with his brother, Garland, and his father. During high school, he played sports and worked at an ice company, hence the nickname the Wheaton Ice Man. He entered into University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in 1922. Noticing his distinct hair color, his football teammates called him Red. Those same players supported Grange as he played for the Bears in 1925. Fans swarmed the stands to see him play. Grange was named the Galloping Ghost because he could seamlessly slither past his opponents to score touchdowns. In regard to the increase of revenue after Grange joined the NFL, the official NFL website states, ...the NFL made its greatest coup in gaining national recognition. • 47. Essay on Zero Tolerance Policy of Education in America Zero Tolerance Policy of Education in America In Bedford, Texas, a 16 year old honor student was expelled after a security guard noticed a kitchen knife on the floor of the student s car. The knife apparently had fallen unnoticed as the student carted some of his grandmother s possessions to Goodwill. He was ordered to spend a year in a juvenile justice education program and banished from district property and school sponsored activities. [...] In Deer Lakes, Pennsylvania, a kindergarten student was suspended for bringing a toy axe to school. He was dressed as a firefighter for Halloween. [...] In Thornton, Colorado, a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If a student was a relatively good kid with no past disciplinary actions taken against him or her, they were much more likely to have a punishment that actually taught them something, rather than creating a sense of resentment towards the school authorities, and the system in general. Before the era of zero tolerance, a kid with a great future ahead could not screw it all up by making one simple mistake. The line that zero tolerance crosses is one of intent. Zero tolerance looks only at the offense that has been made, not at the circumstances that brought it about. If someone with no intent of doing something unlawful accidentally commits a crime, they are punished equally with one who deliberately inflicts harm. So how did zero tolerance laws come about? When major incidences of school disruption, like the Columbine shooting, started occurring, school officials decided they needed to start cracking down on discipline. After realizing certain things were starting to get out of hand, the federal government made it mandatory for, [...] a zero tolerance policy toward the possession of illegal drugs and weapons on school grounds, (Copenhaver 1).
