Old Hueco Tanks Road Research Paper
Throughout the years roads have been a huge issue in the El Paso area. There have been many road
improvement projects suggested for the eastern part of El Paso county. Many roads have begun to go
under construction, but are they fixing the right roads? In the matter of Old Hueco Tanks Road, there
are many components missing; there s pretty much no road to begin with. Old Hueco Tanks Road runs
from Saint Peter and Paul s church on North loop to the beginning of the Eastlake Road. This road isn
t even a complete road to begin with. The Old Hueco Tanks Road is composed of parts of a lost road,
dirt, holes, and a decent amount of trash. This road is very useful for the Socorro community, it leads
you to the i 10, as well as to school if you attend the El Paso Community College at Mission. As
previously said the road is a mess, over fifty vehicles have had an incident passing through this road.
There is also a new attraction, El Paso Cornmaze, which is on this road, but many deny to go due to
the road being an issue. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the road had many trash from sofas, to food wrappers, to cans, to even old tires. The road also had
deep holes, and no lanes to separate the vehicle. When I arrived at school I notice my tires had not

Analysis Of The Poem Poor North By Mark Strand
Mark Strand s poem, Poor North depicts the life of a married couple facing countless struggles during
a harsh winter. It tells of a man working in an unsuccessful store while his wife sits at home, wishing
for her old life back. The way the wife copes with her sadness is both intriguing and perplexing. She
misses her old life, even though it is described to have not been special; however, the wife may be a
person who never feels satisfied or fulfilled by the external world due to internal conflict. Despite the
wife s obvious misery, she stays by her husband s side and they stroll in the cold together, bracing the
wind. As a means of escape from life, she peers into her past in order to find hope in the present.
The title of the poem implies that the home of characters is not a place where anyone would want to
spend their life. When the north is described as the poor north, in both the title and at the end of the
first stanza, it makes it seem as though it is an established fact, recognized by anyone who has visited
or lived there. The description is solidified when the speaker says, nothing goes right in the poor north
(5). A bad experience must have occurred in order for the speaker to feel negatively about the setting
of the poem; otherwise, there would be no need for strong language to describe it. The speaker is
external, almost as though they are watching the events unfold from a distance, as if they were looking
through a window into someone else s life.

Chinese Government Structure and Court Cases
Comparison of the Gang of Four and Bo Xilai s case
The media has often referred to Bo s case as the most important case in Chinese history since the
Gang of Four case. In fact, there are various points of similarities between the two cases in terms of
their political importance. For instance, both cases related to political functionaries who had fallen
from grace, and tested the legal system s ability to secure a fair trial. Indeed, according to Jerome A
Cohen, the criminal justice system is perhaps the most telling indication of a government s adherence
to human rights standards.
A. Court of adjudication and the right to appeal
Independence of the judiciary is often limited in order to deal with political opposition in authoritarian
states. In this section we consider the powers and limitations of the courts that adjudicated these two
cases. Notably, both cases were decided by courts other than the regular court with jurisdiction. In the
Gang of Four case, the State in fact established an ad hoc court, whereas Bo Xilai s case was
adjudicated by a court other than the court of territorial jurisdiction. This section discusses the reasons
for reliance upon extra ordinary jurisdiction in both cases.
The Gang of Four case was adjudicated by a special court and prosecuted by a special procuratorate.
The SPC president of the time, Jiang Hua argued that the Special Court was necessary because the
normal system of judicial procedure had been profoundly disrupted by the

Mere Christianity Sparknotes
Mere Christianity Summary Mere Christianity was written by C.S. Lewis (Clive Staples Lewis). C.S.
Lewis was born in Belfast, Ireland on November 29, 1898. He was arguably one of the intellectual
giants and influential writers of the twentieth century. Until nineteen fifty four he was a Fellow and
Tutor in English Literature at Oxford University. After that he was unanimously elected to the Chair of
Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge University, a position he held until his retirement.
Clive wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach vast audiences, and his books still attract
readers more every year.
C.S. Lewis mother Florence Augusta passed away in August 23, 1908. In April 1918 Clive meets his
lifelong friend Arthur Greeves. In September 24, 1929 Cliver s father, Albert Lewis, died in Belfast.
On October 11, 1920 Lewis, the Moores, and later Warren, Lewis s brother, move into The Kilns .
Cliver converts to Christianity in September 1931. Cliver attended the first meeting of Oxford
University s Socratic Club on January 26, 1942. On April 23, 1956 he married Joy Davidman
Gresham. Joy is an American woman who was divorced and had a son. She married Cliver because of
his insurance. She didn t have any insurance and she was battling cancer, so he married her to take
care of her and her son. When Joy passed away Cliver continued to take care of his step son. In June
1961 he was diagnosed with kidney inflammation. A little later after he was diagnosed he soon passed
away in November 22, 1963. The Law or Rules about Right or Wrong used to be called the Law of
Nature. Laws of Nature are to be distinguished both from Scientific Laws and from Natural Laws.
When we talk of the laws of nature we usually mean things like gravitation, or heredity, or the laws of
chemistry. When they came up with the Law of Right and Wrong the Law of Nature , they really
meant the Law of Human Nature.
The moral law is God s fatherly instruction, showing the rules that lead to heaven and the evils which
lead away from God. The Moral Law tells us the tune we have to play: our instincts are merely the
keys. There is nothing indulgent about the Moral Law.
As a Christian you do not have to believe all the other

Similarities Between a Global Leader and an Effective...
A global leader has a lot of things in common with an effective innovator and one of the principal
similarities between the two involves their ability to coordinate teams with the purpose of achieving
goals in a limited amount of time and with as little impediments as possible. It is only safe to say that
innovation is a team sport and that a global leader thus needs to focus on this concept in order to be
able to assist his subordinates in meeting deadlines.
In most cases global leaders feel that it is not up to them to come up with innovative solutions. Rather,
they feel responsible for facilitating the innovation process. (Dyer, Gregersen, Christensen) Even with
the fact that being an entrepreneur in many cases means having to criticize creative individuals for
failing to play an active part in the actual production process, there is much more to being a global
leader. Such a person basically needs to employ complex attitudes in order for him or her to be able to
cooperate effectively with all of his or her subordinates.
Effective innovators are in some situations less concerned about matters like discipline or
accountability. This is why it is difficult for many global leaders to be able to adopt attitudes that
would involve innovation, as they are unwilling to take risks and thus believe that they should solely
concentrate on increasing profits through employing rational actions. Similar to how global leaders are
reluctant to consider innovation as a strategy

Enterprise Resource Planning Is The Fruit Of The Hard Work
Introduction
Some years ago, there had been a situation in the market that every Business Company or organization
had faced the problem of sharing their data within their different trades of the company. And also the
problem of integrating all the information into one base structure, which created a burning problem
affecting the efficiencies of the organizations. Every organization was waiting to have an organized
system which could save all their work and collaborate all the information and communicate among
themselves. It was a situation of having a desperate need of new build system, which would improve
their process. The complications aroused in every single business process i.e. from the start to end

Japan And The United Kingdom
Japan and the United Kingdom have long been world powers and are now in the top 10 biggest
economies of the world; being third and fifth in the 2014 rankings. (Centre for Economics and
Business Research. 2015) However, both countries have been hit by a great economic crisis that
changed their economies deeply. Though it occurred on different time frames; 1991 to 2000 for Japan
and 2007 to 2012 for the United Kingdom, a lot of similarities can be found between the causes that
started both crises as well as between the development of these crises. However, not everything is
comparable so we can wonder, to what extent are the Japanese recession of the 1990s and the Great
Recession of 2007 2012 similar? In order to answer this question and get a full understanding of both
periods, we will first look at the causes of the Great Recession, then have a look at the causes of the
Japanese lost decade and finally, analyse the similarities and differences between the two crises. Japan
saw its nation change in 1990 when the Japanese economy stagnated. Indeed, between 1991 and 2003
the Japanese economy only grew 1.14% (of GDP) every year. This is not enough when compared to
other developed countries. (Yuji Horioka, 2006). Alexander, A. J. (2000) states the facts that from the
first quarter of 1990 to the first quarter of 2000 the annual increase in real gross domestic product per
capita barely exceeded 1 percent, making it very clear that Japan was in a recession. This is all the

Deviance Examples
Reading Reflection Number One: The Good, the Bad, and the Change of Deviance GO TO JAIL: Go
directly to Jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Community chest, Monopoly. Unlike board
games, deviance in life is extremely complex. It is not as simple as picking up of an unwanted card,
and is certainly not as of straightforward as spending three turns in jail. Instead, in society today,
deviance is portrayed over many different situations, and it arises for many contrasting reasons based
on society s opinions and views. However, over time society s thoughts and assessments change
leading to a transformation of deviant behavior. First and foremost, there are many devenant actions
that over time go through a moral passage. A moral passage is defined as a change of society s
viewing on a deviant behavior. Simply, a once seemed deviant act becomes socially acceptable. This
change can come about for many different reasons usually ending with the majority of people coming
to an agreement that the act is not worth the demming of deviance. The most common examples of
this is the change of the law of achole. However, there are many other examples of acts deemed
socially acceptable with in time. Most recently, being a homosexual has become in the social norm as
well as even within legal rights. There are many examples of deviant behaviors becoming less deviant
and even considered within the social norm. Further, there are many social norms that over time seem
to turn backwards

To Kill A Mockingbird Psychology
One of the most renowned elements of entertainment was the theatre. Getting the chance to see a
movie was a great experience not easily forgotten. In the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee,
Dill, a small child, is able to see the movie Dracula. Shortly after seeing the movie he runs away from
home, and knowing that his friends understand his love of the movies, he tells Jim, a close friend,
Think they re still searchin all the picture shows in Meridian. Dill grinned (140). A level of pride is
developed in Dill when he can gloat to everyone that he has watched a picture show. For the more
mature audience during the Dust Bowl Era, attending a movie was a simple diversion. Claire Ellerton

A Brief Note On The Quality Of Service
Abstract: The Quality of service in general refers to capability to provide flawless, fast and consistent
communication across the network. The factors that influence QoS are error rates, bandwidth,
throughput, transmission delay, availability, jitter, etc. Any network must provide secure and reliable
service and to achieve this it needs to consider the above factors. Hence we can say that the QoS of a
network is a set of factors to efficiently use the resources of the network. I am using the above factors
to measure the QoS of different networks and compare them.
Introduction:
In recent times Quality of Service has emerged as one of the important topics for research. QoS can be
defined as the all round performance of a computer network. Any network is expected to provide
secure and reliable service. QoS helps provide better service and this can be made possible either by
increasing the priority of a flow or by decreasing the priority of another flow and this flow can be
managed by using congestion management mechanisms. If a network capacity is insufficient then the
QoS becomes an important factor, for example for real time streaming multimedia applications like
Skype, online games, youtube etc., as in such applications if the delay is too much then the purpose of
the application will not be served. The factors that influence Quality of Service are: Error rates
Bandwidth Throughput Transmission Delay Availability Jitter

The Performance Measurement Questionnaire
The Performance Measurement Questionnaire (PMQ)
The Performance Measurement Questionnaire (PMQ) proposed by Dixon (1991) serves as a
straightforward, decision making tool for managers. It is structured in a form of questionnaire that
addresses the suitability of a firm s performance measures in relative to its improvement aims and
objectives. This tool also used to evaluate the consistency between the firm s strategy, corrective
actions and measures. The PMQ is divided into four parts. As the first step, it must gather general data
to identify and classify the respondents.

Determinants Leading Indicators, on the other hand, focus on non financial indicators including
quality of service, flexibility resource utilization and innovation. According, to Fitzgerald (1991)
comprehensive approach to performance tracking outlined in the results and determinants framework
is suitable for application in manufacturing and service industries.
The Cambridge Performance Measurement Design Process
The Cambridge Performance Measurement Design Process proposed by Neely (1996), serves as tool
to improve the design of performance measurement systems. This model aims to develop a coherent
and balanced system that utilizes financial and non financial indicators and considers both, internal
and external measures. Balancing performance measurements depends on to the huge extent on the
successful identification of conflicting or counter productive performance measures and their
elimination. Figure 4 The Cambridge Performance Measurement Design Process

Pursuing An Undergraduate Degree
So it turns out your student wants to major in art; what a terrible misfortune. After all, it is clear that
there are no career prospects in this field due to the high unemployment rates. If by some miracle your
student does somehow manage to get a job, they ll be making pennies, and will probably end up living
in your basement. Nobody wants to pay thousands of dollars for a degree that will send your student
right back to your basement. Dramatized thought patterns like this one demonstrate some of the
common misconceptions about pursuing an undergraduate degree in Art. Unfortunately, it is one of
undergraduate degrees that society discounts, as it is often listed as one of the worst college
undergraduate degrees (Rapacon). Despite this, Art undergraduate degrees are just as useful and
relevant as any other undergraduate degree. Let s start by addressing one of the most pressing issues
that surrounds an Art undergraduate degree; the unemployment rate. After all, your student is going to
college so they can get a job. Unemployment is an issue that is not limited to art undergraduate
degrees, as other fields also experience a certain degree of unemployment. Architecture, for example
is one of the fields with the highest unemployment rates at 13.9%, whereas the current unemployment
rate for art majors is comparatively less at 11.1% (Carnevale 4). Yet, even though the unemployment
rate for people who get Art undergraduate degrees are slightly higher, if your student wanted to

A Research Study On Black Males
Problem Statement: In many school districts throughout the United States, Black males are more
likely than any other group to be suspended and expelled from school (Meier, Stewart, England,
1989). Youth of color are disproportionately likely to grow up in poor, disadvantaged neighborhoods
characterized by high levels of psychosocial stressors and inadequate supportive resources; Poverty
and racial minority status correlate with an increased risk of high school dropout, teen pregnancy,
substance abuse, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs)(Ssewamala, et. al, 2011). Affected with
such a threatening collection of social and economic adversities, it is amazing that the experience of
Black males in education, in relation to attainment and gauges of academic performance have not been
analyzed more closely. I propose to do a qualitative research study that explores: 1. Educational
attachment in the Black male community in the Bronx. On the rise, or failing below the average? 2.
What are the barriers to educational attainment for Black men living in the Bronx? 3. If there are
barriers, what are these barriers? Are they unique to Black Men? 4. How can these barriers be
overcome? (Institutional, or cultural) Method and Analysis: Over the next 6 months a descriptive

Questions On Fixed Income Securities
To properly analyze fixed income securities, we established six major factors to consider. First is the
security s depth of the market. Have there been significant changes in the market since the financial
crisis? The second factor is the main players in the market. This includes issuers and buyers of the
financial instrument along with any other servicing institutions. The third reason, the purpose of the
investment. Fourth is the current condition of the financial instrument s secondary market. How active
is it? Are there transaction costs? How are the instruments priced? The fifth factor is the risks in the
investments. Last but not least is the sixth reason which is the financial instrument s valuation. How

GICs are not traded and nontransferable without the explicit written consent of the issuer. There are
two basic types of GICs issued. The first is participating GICs which involve investors to receive a
variable rate of return. Thus they are literally participating in the risks and rewards resulting from the
fluctuations in the interest rate. When interest rates are expected to rise in the future, participating
GICs become attractive to benefit from the expected rise in the interest rate. Different from
participating , nonparticipating GICs offer a fixed rate of return. This makes nonparticipating GICs
more attractive when market interest rates are high to lock in the high fixed rate of return for the life
of the investment contract. The change in the market for guaranteed investment contracts since the
financial crisis continues to be mixed. GICs have become as popular as other investments like stocks
and bonds. With the rising of interest rates and decreasing concerns about the credit merit of the
insurance companies issuing the contracts, traditional GICs have had a steady growth within the last
decade. The total amount of new GIC business done in 1982 was about $8 billion. Today, the annual
figure is somewhere between $35 and $40 billion Guaranteed Investment Contracts are marketed by
insurance companies, which are considered nonbank financial institutions. They are usually Collective

Faden Vs Disney Essay
The purpose of copyright law is to protect a creator and their original work from being used without
appropriate reasoning falling under fair use, as well as being used without permission from the creator.
Fair use can be defined as a doctrine that allows portions of a copyrighted work to be used without the
creator s permission as long as it is only for commentary, parody, criticization, or educational
purposes.
In the fictional case of Professor Faden versus Walt Disney Studios, I have decided to take the side of
Professor Faden. Professor Faden claims fair use in this case. He claims the purpose of his video,
containing small portions of Disney s copyrighted movies, to be a display of education and remix.
Those two, do, in fact, fall under ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To determine a case of fair use, all of those factors must be taken into consideration before the judge
may make a final ruling.
When looking into the first factor of fair use, purpose and character used, Faden states his point that
his video is used for educational purposes. When you actually go back and watch the video for
yourself, you see immediately that the video is clearly made in good character with good intentions, as
well as that the nature of the work is educationally based, which brings us to the second factor in
determining the fair use of a copyright case.
The second factor in the determination of fair use is indeed the nature of the copyrighted work, as
mentioned previously. As Professor Fade stated, the nature of his video was for educational purposes,
which can be observed rather obviously. He also stated that his video could fall into the category of
remix. A remix is a new version or rendition of a previously existing work, most common in the music
industry. Professor Faden s Fair(y) Use Tale, may comprehensively be seen to be a remix, proving to
obey the second factor of fair use

Charlemagne Research Paper
Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great is a significant figure in the history of Europe. Son of
Pepin the Short, Charlemagne set out to be a great ruler. The age of Charlemagne as it was so called,
started after the result of missions among Pagans. During his ruling he did some beneficial things for
his people, but in the end mostly bad things. At first he was thought to be a great ruler and then people
really started to dislike him. Due to a great deal of dreadful things he did to his own people,
Charlemagne the Great became the tyrant after countless slaughters resulting from his attempt to
Christianize his empire, which led to his descent in public opinion. . (A+E Networks. Charlemagne.

having to worship as he wished. Charlemagne resented the Saxons for the uprising, he is the king so
everyone who is against him is guilty of treason against the King, and therefore, must die. Eventually,
he forced the Saxons to convert to Christianity, or what was left of them. Beheading 4,500 Saxons

anyone in a situation as miserable as his would look for a way to make some quick and easy cash to
help pay for tuition. After discovering his purple Teletubby costume from three Halloweens past, he
wrangled up a group of his friends to film an entire bootleg series of the Teletubbies. After a dreadful
week of nonstop filming, he and his buddies had re recorded a shoddy and budgeted version of the
children s show. On his way back to the grungy apartment he had been renting for the past month, he
figured he would use the long skateboard ride home for a smoke break to relieve the stress from a
rough week of filming. Much to his surprise, the poorly made videos had millions of views and
downloads by the time he arrived at his apartment. Due to the popularity, the federal government
quickly discovered the counterfeit videos and promptly arrested the actors. A few months later, the
broke college student was released from the county jail late in the evening. Since he had no other
clothes, there was no other choice but to wear the shameful Teletubby costume during his lengthy
skateboard ride home. Much to his relief, there was a singular cigarette in the inside pocket of the
costume, which he happily smoked all the while

Marketing Plan for Mountain Equipment
Marketing Paper The author of this assignment is asked to provide four major components. The first is
to come up with a new product line that is not already in the Mountain Equipment product array. The
second is to describe the target market for this new product line. The third is to identify two
competitors for the new products and to flesh out how MEC will provide a better option than those
other competitors and the last one will be a brief marketing plan for how MEC might launch the new
product line. Product Marketing Plan Details In looking at the MEC website, there is a clear section
for smartphone compatible devices but the same is not true for tablet devices and that is an obviously
missing link. There are some tablet compatible devices in the smartphone section, but there needs to
be a tablet specific section because tablets are soaring in use and popularity and MEC needs to latch
onto the people that use the Samsung and Apple tablet computers, among other brands like Dell,
Toshiba, Amazon and others. The new product line being suggested here is for MEC to launch a
specific section that sells products specifically designed for or more easy to use and function with on
tablets. Indeed, MEC does not seem to make its own goods. Rather, they market products from
vendors like Garmin and such when it comes to consumer electronics. No need to reinvent the wheel
on that, but there needs to be a clear section for tablet computers and the smartphone specific goods

Questions On English And Russian
In this essay, I will be discussing my experiences with modals in English and Russian. The purpose of
my project is to investigate the differences in the usage and meanings of modals between the two
languages. My focus will be on the modal, must, and what contexts it is mainly used for. I will start by
discussing what was particularly challenging about this project. Modals are a highly complex area of
grammar both in English and Russian. Several of the texts I have consulted for my project remark on
the difficulty of teaching and learning modals. In English, there is a certain level of ambiguity when it
comes to the meanings of modals. Depending on what context they are used in, modals can mean
several different things and fall into two main categories: epistemic of deontic (Haan, 1995). The
modal I am focusing on, must or dolžen, corresponds semantically only to the root or fictive modals in
English. This fact is the very core of great pedagogical difficulty in teaching these Russian modal
auxiliaries to English speaking students (Croft, 1975). Initially, it was challenging even finding
articles about Russian modals. The articles I discovered did not have a comprehensive list of Russian
modals which made it more difficult to understand. This area of grammar is widely studied in English,
but not so in Russian. Corpus investigations of modality in other languages is lagging behind, (Haan,
1995) which is why it was difficult to find a Russian corpus to analyze for

Essay on Sexual Exploitation of Women in the Media
Sexual Exploitation of Women in the Media
Women are sexually exploited in the media. In today s society if people watch television programs
such as Chingy featuring Snoop Ludacris Holidae; Charlie s Angels; the Z100 commercial with
Britney Spears; or Baywatch they will see that the feminine image is presented differently than the
masculine. In these programs men are typically placed in sexual situations fully clothed, while women
are presented in provocative clothing or less. The camera will frequently zoom in on body parts to
focus on the woman s buttocks, midriff, and legs. Society is still dominated by men who control what
people see. As a result women are increasingly portrayed as sex symbols as a way for a media

In 1998, $1billion was spent online on adult content, 69 percent of the total Internet content sales.
In most commercial advertisements on television, women show more skin than men. Commercials use
women to sell sex because it attracts more attention than men showing their bodies. For instance,
Britney Spears, a singer whom many teenagers admire, appeared in a music commercial for Z100, the
number one radio station in New York. Z100 promotes commercially hot music in modes such as pop,
rock, and R B. In Z100 s new commercial, Britney Spears is wearing a beige outfit consisting of a
tight tube top and small shorts that accent her chest and buttocks. After talking for a moment, she
starts dancing with her back facing the camera. Viewers are visually drawn to the shape of her body.
As spokesperson for Z100, Britney Spears is being used as a marketing tool to attract men and
increase ratings. Z100 could have had a popular male in its commercial. Instead the company s
executives chose a popular woman known for her hourglass figure because men prefer to look at
young, shapely, nubile women.
Television shows concentrate more and more on physical imagery showing women and their bodies
exposed in an effort to increase ratings. The show Baywatch is about lifeguards, both men and
women, working on the beach, but the females wear tight and particularly revealing bikinis. When the
show first came out, it was taken seriously as

The Signalman, by Charles Dickens; The Battler by Ernest Hemingway
In what way do the two authors create and maintain interest and suspense in their stories?
In Charles Dickens The Signalman the story starts by introducing the main character (a railway
signalman). Another character is also introduced: the narrator. Dickens describes the signalman as a
dark sallow man and as having a dark beard and heavy eyebrows . It seems that Dickens wishes to
portray the signalman as a dark and ominous figure. However, he then sheds some light on the
character of the signalman. Dickens portrays him to be very lonely and afraid of something. This is
shown in the way he turns himself about and looked down the Line when the ... Show more content on

Another way in which Dickens shows this is by making the signalman appear to be a little strange.
This is done, at first, by his lack of speech: He looked up at me without replying . Dickens continues
this suggestion (the signalman is insane) when he does finally speak. He speaks only in a low voice,
adding to the suggestion of danger. Then he tells the narrator what is wrong: the ghostly sightings.
This again makes us question his sanity.
Dickens maintains this suspense that he has created with use of a leitmotiv of the red light, which is
linked to the menacing apparition and maybe an accident on the railway. When the narrator leaves
after the first visit the signalman still has not told him the full story about the apparition. We have to
wait until their next meeting to find out for ourselves. This leaves the story as a so called cliff hanger
and encourages us read on.
On their second meeting, the signalman tells the narrator, and us, of the accident that seemed so
obviously linked to the apparition by the fact that every time it appeared there was an accident on the
line somewhere. After, sustaining the suspense through the first meeting of the two men, Dickens
creates even more with the revealing of this ominous event. Dickens then maintains

The Garden Of Earthly Delights
Hieronymous Bosch s 16th century triptych, The Garden of Earthly Delights, is a heavily discussed
image among scholars. Because of the obscure nature of the painting and its subjects, especially so in
the context of the painting s time period, interpretations and analyses of the image are widespread.
Common interpretations of the piece include that the image is a symbolic warning against shame and
sin, a warning against woman s temptations, the rebirth of a joyous world, and the Garden as a
Paradise Lost . In the 15th and 16th centuries, there were various controversies surrounding the
papacy of the Catholic Church, as well as other matters of Catholic corruption, which would
eventually lead to the reformation. Expectedly, an unsophisticated symbolic analysis of the painting
may lead one to interpret the image as a representation of the Final Judgment , which is plausible
given this context of Bosch s time period. Because of religious conflict and turmoil, people were
likely confused and fearful of literal apocalyptic consequences. A more sophisticated allegorical
analysis of the piece is instead revealing of Bosch s conceptual interpretation of the world and reality
itself. The title suggests the piece contains earthly delights , yet the absence of any man like items
suggests that Bosch s painting was instead metaphorically symbolic in its iconographic depictions.
The center panel should thus be interpreted allegorically in order to decode Bosch s conceptual

Ambition and the Downfall of Macbeth, Idi Amin, and,...
Ambition is a force that helps drive societies forward. When the power of a nation falls in the hands of
a single person ambition takes many spectacular and ugly forms. It can be both the making and
destruction of that person but regardless of the net effect, ambition will have deep socio economic,
political, and cultural roots. Three dictators were taken by ambition and it pushed them into a costly,
long, battle to obtain and maintain power. Those leaders are Macbeth, Idi Amin, and, Napoleon
Bonaparte. Macbeth is the main character in Shakespeare s Macbeth. Macbeth was born into low

Learning Systems And The Education System
In the past, the learning system was really simple. Students always learned in classrooms. They would
learn from and be taught by their teacher and grasped other facts from textbooks. The teachers would
ask them questions and students would answer them to show they understood. Other information
about other parts of the world, they learned from books. Throughout the years, the learning system
changed. Issues or flaws in the system were addressed and improved. Different learning systems that
were better were invented for the purpose of improving the education of students. Every time the
learning system surpasses the others, the students and world s education exceeds. The quick changes
and the increase of difficulties of the current world causes new challenges and needs of improvement
in our education system. The American education system in the past and present has changed because
of the issues and flaws found in it, because of those issues, the students do not have the knowledge
they are required to have in college or a successful career. We are realizing we have to change the way
our learning functions to fit the way the world is now. To overcome the difficulties in our learning
system, we have to look at the problems and how to improve it. Any strategies we use must deal with
the multiple factors that affect the education system, the influence of its part, and the complicated
interdependencies within it and its environment.
The learning system in the present has improved

The Philosophers Of Aristotle, Plato, And Aristotle
The Big Three were very influential in Greek Mythology, the same can be said for Greek Philosophy.
Just like Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, there was Aristotle, Plato, and Socrates. These philosophers, Plato
and Aristotle were philosophers in ancient Greece who studied ethics, politics, science, and more.
Both Aristotle and Plato had their own beliefs about moral philosophy, but Aristotle s is more
convincing.
Aristotle was born in 384 B.C. Stagira, a town that was north of Athens, and was one of the greatest
thinkers who ever lived. When he got older he decided to enroll in Plato s Academy, where for two
decades he did his research and taught others. His work contributed to logic, mathematics, physics,
ethics, and many more. He was in fact Plato s student whom both studied under Socrates. He was told
by Philip of Macedonia to tutor his thirteen year old son who later on became one of the greatest
military minds in history, Alexander the Great. Even today all of his work is the starting point of any
discussion that involves logic and ethics.
All of Aristotle s research made him come up with his own moral philosophy. He believed that
everything in this world has a purpose, or telos . To achieve our telos human beings have to gain
experience by achieving traits, also known as virtues. There are two different types of traits that
humans have. Intellectual virtues are ones that can be learned for example, wisdom, loyalty,
intelligence, curiosity, and technique. Moral virtues,

The Three Types of Annoying Shoppers
Tires squeal across the hot asphalt; exhaust fumes fill the air. Innocent shoppers leap to safety as cars
circle the neighborhood grocery store lot in search of the ideal parking spot. Engines revving.
Adrenaline rushing. The driver s sole mission is to obtain a white lined rectangle of pavement before
entering the race known as shopping. As a safety precaution, competent and considerate shoppers
should be aware of the distinct character traits of the three annoying types of shoppers: Hurry Harry,
Suburban Sally, and Picky Pete. Knowledge of their parking lot to checkout stand habits increases the

sweatsuit and pink rollers, unravels a grocery list equal to any childƕs letter to Santa. She skillfully
maneuvers the cart through the maze of shoppers, braking without warning, to comparison shop or to
threaten her loud bunch of food guzzlers. With the strength of a two ton truck, she steers her cart to the
finish line. As the cashier rings up her purchases, it is time for her to make one last lap around the
store for a forgotten item. Customers sigh as she pulls out coupons and rebates to offset the sticker
price. She writes a check and calculates the difference before leaving. A good set of brakes and plenty
of tabloids to read are necessary when shopping behind Suburban Sally.
In comparison to her absent minded habits, Picky Pete, the third type of annoying shopper, appears
flawless. Sunlight shines off his latest BMW parked across three spaces farthest from the store; his

Dorian Gray Diction
Reema Amin 6th Foster AP Jr. English 8/24/14 In the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar
Wilde, language resources are found in abundance when forming moods in a variety of passages.
Wilde employs many of these resources in chapter 16, when Dorian decides to go to an opium den in
an unsafe area, late at night. By using alliteration, imagery, syntax, and diction, a mood of eeriness and
ominousness is easily represented in the passage that describes Dorian s trip to the opium den. Wilde s
use of language resources greatly impacts the mood that is portrayed in the passage described
previously. Starting off the passage by building the scene, Wilde utilizes vivid imagery to describe low
roofs and jagged chimney stacks and the black masts of ships , creating a feeling of darkness and
ominousness; clearly, Dorian isn t in a nice area, making the reader feel uncomfortable with the
situation. Through strong alliteration such as wreaths of white mist , the reader feels a sense of
coldness and eeriness, replicating the sounds of a wispy breeze in the air. ... Show more content on

to take Dorian there, and that he was given extra fare [Dorian] had promised him to convince him to

Essay on The Legalization Drugs
The Legalization Drugs
The dawn of the twenty first century has ushered in a new age of optimism and wonder. Despite the
proclamations of television, all is not in well in our part of the world. Our societies have succumbed to
the modern holy war on drugs. Being fought against our own citizens and citizens abroad, an
international effort to eradicate drug production and use has undoubtedly failed leaving in its wake
social unrest and political chaos. Assault, property crime, racial and economic marginalization,
murder, corruption and many other undesirable things are burning through society fueled by the drug
war s cold and inhuman policies. In addition to these problems there are the initial problems that drug

A regulated drug market would provide drug users with consistent doses, lowering the likelihood of
overdose with some drugs. Clear labeling, instructions, and warnings present in a legalized system
would result in safer usage. It is known, for instance, that other, more dangerous drugs, have caused
many of the deaths linked to ecstasy. (www.csdp.org/factbook/ecstasy.htm) In the future, such
scenarios can be virtually eliminated. Another safety issue surrounding drug usage is the spread of
diseases, such as AIDS, through injection drug use. According to a study in 1996 Drug paraphernalia
laws in 47 U.S. states make it illegal for injection drug users to posses syringes .
(www.csdp.org/factbook/syringee.htm) This law effectively bans needle exchange programs (since
they would be giving needles to drug users who are banned from having them). The study concluded
that access to clean needles would reduce blood borne viruses in injection drug users. The legalization
of drugs would also allow profitable research by pharmaceutical companies into safer drugs that
produce similar psychoactive effects to the current illegal ones. New drugs could possibly decrease the
negative health effects of drugs reducing the overall harm caused by current unhealthy drug use.

Analysing Theories Of Loss And Grief In Social Work Practice
Analyse theories of loss and grief in respect of their relevance for social work practice
Both grief and loss are an inevitable part of human existence and are at the heart of life and growth
(Walter and McCoyd, 2009). Some losses are painful and consequently trigger grief, however some
losses are natural and a part of development, such as maturation, and usually seen as progression but

example from childhood into adolescence, and offer support through difficult losses. Loss can occur

Society has advanced dramatically in the past century, and along with that transportation has shifted
from the reliable horse and buggy to planes, trains, and automobiles. After the invention of the motor

more efficient automobiles. Planes and Trains have also made a leap in the past century forever
changing the time it takes to travel places. In the present time period we have massive trains engines

Fully electric cars are the future of ground transportation. The use of electricity in cars will also have a
massive impact on future transportation. Large engines that use combustible fuel usually drive trains,
but electric trains are also being used around the world and have been for decades. Electric trains are
used around the world most for transportation of people instead of goods. Their electric motors are
powered from a receiver that remains in contact with a wire supplying the electricity that runs parallel
with the train. Electric trains are more efficient, cheaper to run, and they can accelerate much faster
than their previous predecessors ( Electric Locomotives, The Definition Of Efficiency, n.d.). Future
electric trains will be able to travel faster than ever before, and eventually they will be build all around
the United States and other countries to provide extremely fast travel at cheaper costs ( Electric
Locomotives, The Definition Of Efficiency, n.d.). High speed electric trains today are extremely fast,
but they are mostly used in Europe and other places, like Japan. Future trains in America, and around
the world, could have a more futuristic look to them. A man named Elon Musk proposed the idea of a

  • 2. Old Hueco Tanks Road Research Paper Throughout the years roads have been a huge issue in the El Paso area. There have been many road improvement projects suggested for the eastern part of El Paso county. Many roads have begun to go under construction, but are they fixing the right roads? In the matter of Old Hueco Tanks Road, there are many components missing; there s pretty much no road to begin with. Old Hueco Tanks Road runs from Saint Peter and Paul s church on North loop to the beginning of the Eastlake Road. This road isn t even a complete road to begin with. The Old Hueco Tanks Road is composed of parts of a lost road, dirt, holes, and a decent amount of trash. This road is very useful for the Socorro community, it leads you to the i 10, as well as to school if you attend the El Paso Community College at Mission. As previously said the road is a mess, over fifty vehicles have had an incident passing through this road. There is also a new attraction, El Paso Cornmaze, which is on this road, but many deny to go due to the road being an issue. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. Analysis Of The Poem Poor North By Mark Strand Mark Strand s poem, Poor North depicts the life of a married couple facing countless struggles during a harsh winter. It tells of a man working in an unsuccessful store while his wife sits at home, wishing for her old life back. The way the wife copes with her sadness is both intriguing and perplexing. She misses her old life, even though it is described to have not been special; however, the wife may be a person who never feels satisfied or fulfilled by the external world due to internal conflict. Despite the wife s obvious misery, she stays by her husband s side and they stroll in the cold together, bracing the wind. As a means of escape from life, she peers into her past in order to find hope in the present. The title of the poem implies that the home of characters is not a place where anyone would want to spend their life. When the north is described as the poor north, in both the title and at the end of the first stanza, it makes it seem as though it is an established fact, recognized by anyone who has visited or lived there. The description is solidified when the speaker says, nothing goes right in the poor north (5). A bad experience must have occurred in order for the speaker to feel negatively about the setting of the poem; otherwise, there would be no need for strong language to describe it. The speaker is external, almost as though they are watching the events unfold from a distance, as if they were looking through a window into someone else s life. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Chinese Government Structure and Court Cases Comparison of the Gang of Four and Bo Xilai s case The media has often referred to Bo s case as the most important case in Chinese history since the Gang of Four case. In fact, there are various points of similarities between the two cases in terms of their political importance. For instance, both cases related to political functionaries who had fallen from grace, and tested the legal system s ability to secure a fair trial. Indeed, according to Jerome A Cohen, the criminal justice system is perhaps the most telling indication of a government s adherence to human rights standards. A. Court of adjudication and the right to appeal Independence of the judiciary is often limited in order to deal with political opposition in authoritarian states. In this section we consider the powers and limitations of the courts that adjudicated these two cases. Notably, both cases were decided by courts other than the regular court with jurisdiction. In the Gang of Four case, the State in fact established an ad hoc court, whereas Bo Xilai s case was adjudicated by a court other than the court of territorial jurisdiction. This section discusses the reasons for reliance upon extra ordinary jurisdiction in both cases. The Gang of Four case was adjudicated by a special court and prosecuted by a special procuratorate. The SPC president of the time, Jiang Hua argued that the Special Court was necessary because the normal system of judicial procedure had been profoundly disrupted by the ... • 5. Mere Christianity Sparknotes Mere Christianity Summary Mere Christianity was written by C.S. Lewis (Clive Staples Lewis). C.S. Lewis was born in Belfast, Ireland on November 29, 1898. He was arguably one of the intellectual giants and influential writers of the twentieth century. Until nineteen fifty four he was a Fellow and Tutor in English Literature at Oxford University. After that he was unanimously elected to the Chair of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge University, a position he held until his retirement. Clive wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach vast audiences, and his books still attract readers more every year. C.S. Lewis mother Florence Augusta passed away in August 23, 1908. In April 1918 Clive meets his lifelong friend Arthur Greeves. In September 24, 1929 Cliver s father, Albert Lewis, died in Belfast. On October 11, 1920 Lewis, the Moores, and later Warren, Lewis s brother, move into The Kilns . Cliver converts to Christianity in September 1931. Cliver attended the first meeting of Oxford University s Socratic Club on January 26, 1942. On April 23, 1956 he married Joy Davidman Gresham. Joy is an American woman who was divorced and had a son. She married Cliver because of his insurance. She didn t have any insurance and she was battling cancer, so he married her to take care of her and her son. When Joy passed away Cliver continued to take care of his step son. In June 1961 he was diagnosed with kidney inflammation. A little later after he was diagnosed he soon passed away in November 22, 1963. The Law or Rules about Right or Wrong used to be called the Law of Nature. Laws of Nature are to be distinguished both from Scientific Laws and from Natural Laws. When we talk of the laws of nature we usually mean things like gravitation, or heredity, or the laws of chemistry. When they came up with the Law of Right and Wrong the Law of Nature , they really meant the Law of Human Nature. The moral law is God s fatherly instruction, showing the rules that lead to heaven and the evils which lead away from God. The Moral Law tells us the tune we have to play: our instincts are merely the keys. There is nothing indulgent about the Moral Law. As a Christian you do not have to believe all the other ... • 6. Similarities Between a Global Leader and an Effective... A global leader has a lot of things in common with an effective innovator and one of the principal similarities between the two involves their ability to coordinate teams with the purpose of achieving goals in a limited amount of time and with as little impediments as possible. It is only safe to say that innovation is a team sport and that a global leader thus needs to focus on this concept in order to be able to assist his subordinates in meeting deadlines. In most cases global leaders feel that it is not up to them to come up with innovative solutions. Rather, they feel responsible for facilitating the innovation process. (Dyer, Gregersen, Christensen) Even with the fact that being an entrepreneur in many cases means having to criticize creative individuals for failing to play an active part in the actual production process, there is much more to being a global leader. Such a person basically needs to employ complex attitudes in order for him or her to be able to cooperate effectively with all of his or her subordinates. Effective innovators are in some situations less concerned about matters like discipline or accountability. This is why it is difficult for many global leaders to be able to adopt attitudes that would involve innovation, as they are unwilling to take risks and thus believe that they should solely concentrate on increasing profits through employing rational actions. Similar to how global leaders are reluctant to consider innovation as a strategy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Japan And The United Kingdom Japan and the United Kingdom have long been world powers and are now in the top 10 biggest economies of the world; being third and fifth in the 2014 rankings. (Centre for Economics and Business Research. 2015) However, both countries have been hit by a great economic crisis that changed their economies deeply. Though it occurred on different time frames; 1991 to 2000 for Japan and 2007 to 2012 for the United Kingdom, a lot of similarities can be found between the causes that started both crises as well as between the development of these crises. However, not everything is comparable so we can wonder, to what extent are the Japanese recession of the 1990s and the Great Recession of 2007 2012 similar? In order to answer this question and get a full understanding of both periods, we will first look at the causes of the Great Recession, then have a look at the causes of the Japanese lost decade and finally, analyse the similarities and differences between the two crises. Japan saw its nation change in 1990 when the Japanese economy stagnated. Indeed, between 1991 and 2003 the Japanese economy only grew 1.14% (of GDP) every year. This is not enough when compared to other developed countries. (Yuji Horioka, 2006). Alexander, A. J. (2000) states the facts that from the first quarter of 1990 to the first quarter of 2000 the annual increase in real gross domestic product per capita barely exceeded 1 percent, making it very clear that Japan was in a recession. Unlike board games, deviance in life is extremely complex. It is not as simple as picking up of an unwanted card, and is certainly not as of straightforward as spending three turns in jail. Instead, in society today, deviance is portrayed over many different situations, and it arises for many contrasting reasons based on society s opinions and views. However, over time society s thoughts and assessments change leading to a transformation of deviant behavior. First and foremost, there are many devenant actions that over time go through a moral passage. A moral passage is defined as a change of society s viewing on a deviant behavior. Simply, a once seemed deviant act becomes socially acceptable. This change can come about for many different reasons usually ending with the majority of people coming to an agreement that the act is not worth the demming of deviance. The most common examples of this is the change of the law of achole. However, there are many other examples of acts deemed socially acceptable with in time. Most recently, being a homosexual has become in the social norm as well as even within legal rights. There are many examples of deviant behaviors becoming less deviant and even considered within the social norm. Further, there are many social norms that over time seem to turn backwards ... • 12. A Brief Note On The Quality Of Service Abstract: The Quality of service in general refers to capability to provide flawless, fast and consistent communication across the network. The factors that influence QoS are error rates, bandwidth, throughput, transmission delay, availability, jitter, etc. Any network must provide secure and reliable service and to achieve this it needs to consider the above factors. Hence we can say that the QoS of a network is a set of factors to efficiently use the resources of the network. I am using the above factors to measure the QoS of different networks and compare them. Introduction: In recent times Quality of Service has emerged as one of the important topics for research. QoS can be defined as the all round performance of a computer network. Any network is expected to provide secure and reliable service. QoS helps provide better service and this can be made possible either by increasing the priority of a flow or by decreasing the priority of another flow and this flow can be managed by using congestion management mechanisms. If a network capacity is insufficient then the QoS becomes an important factor, for example for real time streaming multimedia applications like Skype, online games, youtube etc., as in such applications if the delay is too much then the purpose of the application will not be served. The factors that influence Quality of Service are: Error rates Bandwidth Throughput Transmission Delay Availability Jitter Quality of Service Factors: Error Rates: ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Pursuing An Undergraduate Degree So it turns out your student wants to major in art; what a terrible misfortune. After all, it is clear that there are no career prospects in this field due to the high unemployment rates. If by some miracle your student does somehow manage to get a job, they ll be making pennies, and will probably end up living in your basement. Nobody wants to pay thousands of dollars for a degree that will send your student right back to your basement. Dramatized thought patterns like this one demonstrate some of the common misconceptions about pursuing an undergraduate degree in Art. Unfortunately, it is one of undergraduate degrees that society discounts, as it is often listed as one of the worst college undergraduate degrees (Rapacon). Despite this, Art undergraduate degrees are just as useful and relevant as any other undergraduate degree. Let s start by addressing one of the most pressing issues that surrounds an Art undergraduate degree; the unemployment rate. After all, your student is going to college so they can get a job. Unemployment is an issue that is not limited to art undergraduate degrees, as other fields also experience a certain degree of unemployment. Architecture, for example is one of the fields with the highest unemployment rates at 13.9%, whereas the current unemployment rate for art majors is comparatively less at 11.1% (Carnevale 4). Yet, even though the unemployment rate for people who get Art undergraduate degrees are slightly higher, if your student wanted to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Research Study On Black Males Problem Statement: In many school districts throughout the United States, Black males are more likely than any other group to be suspended and expelled from school (Meier, Stewart, England, 1989). Youth of color are disproportionately likely to grow up in poor, disadvantaged neighborhoods characterized by high levels of psychosocial stressors and inadequate supportive resources; Poverty and racial minority status correlate with an increased risk of high school dropout, teen pregnancy, substance abuse, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs)(Ssewamala, et. al, 2011). Affected with such a threatening collection of social and economic adversities, it is amazing that the experience of Black males in education, in relation to attainment and gauges of academic performance have not been analyzed more closely. I propose to do a qualitative research study that explores: 1. Educational attachment in the Black male community in the Bronx. On the rise, or failing below the average? 2. What are the barriers to educational attainment for Black men living in the Bronx? 3. If there are barriers, what are these barriers? Are they unique to Black Men? 4. The first is participating GICs which involve investors to receive a variable rate of return. When interest rates are expected to rise in the future, participating GICs become attractive to benefit from the expected rise in the interest rate. Different from participating , nonparticipating GICs offer a fixed rate of return. This makes nonparticipating GICs more attractive when market interest rates are high to lock in the high fixed rate of return for the life of the investment contract. The change in the market for guaranteed investment contracts since the financial crisis continues to be mixed. GICs have become as popular as other investments like stocks and bonds. With the rising of interest rates and decreasing concerns about the credit merit of the insurance companies issuing the contracts, traditional GICs have had a steady growth within the last decade. The total amount of new GIC business done in 1982 was about $8 billion. Fair use can be defined as a doctrine that allows portions of a copyrighted work to be used without the creator s permission as long as it is only for commentary, parody, criticization, or educational purposes. In the fictional case of Professor Faden versus Walt Disney Studios, I have decided to take the side of Professor Faden. Professor Faden claims fair use in this case. When you actually go back and watch the video for yourself, you see immediately that the video is clearly made in good character with good intentions, as well as that the nature of the work is educationally based, which brings us to the second factor in determining the fair use of a copyright case. The second factor in the determination of fair use is indeed the nature of the copyrighted work, as mentioned previously. As Professor Fade stated, the nature of his video was for educational purposes, which can be observed rather obviously. He also stated that his video could fall into the category of remix. The purpose of my project is to investigate the differences in the usage and meanings of modals between the two languages. My focus will be on the modal, must, and what contexts it is mainly used for. I will start by discussing what was particularly challenging about this project. Modals are a highly complex area of grammar both in English and Russian. Several of the texts I have consulted for my project remark on the difficulty of teaching and learning modals. In English, there is a certain level of ambiguity when it comes to the meanings of modals. Depending on what context they are used in, modals can mean several different things and fall into two main categories: epistemic of deontic (Haan, 1995). The modal I am focusing on, must or dolžen, corresponds semantically only to the root or fictive modals in English. This fact is the very core of great pedagogical difficulty in teaching these Russian modal auxiliaries to English speaking students (Croft, 1975). Initially, it was challenging even finding articles about Russian modals. The articles I discovered did not have a comprehensive list of Russian modals which made it more difficult to understand. This area of grammar is widely studied in English, but not so in Russian. Corpus investigations of modality in other languages is lagging behind, (Haan, 1995) which is why it was difficult to find a Russian corpus to analyze for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In Charles Dickens The Signalman the story starts by introducing the main character (a railway signalman). Another character is also introduced: the narrator. Dickens describes the signalman as a dark sallow man and as having a dark beard and heavy eyebrows . It seems that Dickens wishes to portray the signalman as a dark and ominous figure. Then he tells the narrator what is wrong: the ghostly sightings. This again makes us question his sanity. Dickens maintains this suspense that he has created with use of a leitmotiv of the red light, which is linked to the menacing apparition and maybe an accident on the railway. • 28. The Garden Of Earthly Delights Hieronymous Bosch s 16th century triptych, The Garden of Earthly Delights, is a heavily discussed image among scholars. Because of the obscure nature of the painting and its subjects, especially so in the context of the painting s time period, interpretations and analyses of the image are widespread. Common interpretations of the piece include that the image is a symbolic warning against shame and sin, a warning against woman s temptations, the rebirth of a joyous world, and the Garden as a Paradise Lost . In the 15th and 16th centuries, there were various controversies surrounding the papacy of the Catholic Church, as well as other matters of Catholic corruption, which would eventually lead to the reformation. Expectedly, an unsophisticated symbolic analysis of the painting may lead one to interpret the image as a representation of the Final Judgment , which is plausible given this context of Bosch s time period. Because of religious conflict and turmoil, people were likely confused and fearful of literal apocalyptic consequences. A more sophisticated allegorical analysis of the piece is instead revealing of Bosch s conceptual interpretation of the world and reality itself. The title suggests the piece contains earthly delights , yet the absence of any man like items suggests that Bosch s painting was instead metaphorically symbolic in its iconographic depictions.
