Career And Educational Goals Research Paper
My career and education goals are to go UARM and focus on Machine tool technology. Right now I
am currently taking the class after my high school classes and I would like to keep working in this
area because so far I really enjoy the class and I love the hands on work we do with the machines
and computers. In Mena the are lots of jobs in this field and I would still like to live here. My
Educationgoal is to go UARM and take classes because it s the most bang for your buck and I live
in Mena so I am so close. With it being a smaller schoolyou have a better student to teacher ratio
so there are smaller classes so a student can find it easier to get help when needed. So it s the most
logical solution for me when I am choosing this college.

Taking a Look at Intrusion Detection
Intrusion Detection Intrusion detection is similar in concept to a burglar alarm on a car. There is
the lock system to prevent access to a car, similar to a firewall, and there is the alarm system, the
intrusion detection system. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are there to compliment the network
or computers firewall, if or when there is a breach, it is the IDS that is able to identify it and then
alert the administrator. Firewalls are an effective way for filtering information coming in to your
network from the internet and are a good source of protection, but there are ways to circumvent a
firewall which could leave you defenseless. An IDS monitors the firewall for breaches and also
monitors the traffic on the organizations network for any anomalies. This is important in the
instance of an external user connecting to an organizations infrastructure by connecting through an
installed modem on the network, this form of attack cannot be caught by a firewall but an IDS is
able to recognize the abnormal activity and report the intrusion to an administrator. Intrusion
detection systems are there to help an information system prepare for and deal with attacks. They
collect information from a variety of system and network sources and then analyze the information
and activity logs searching for information on potential security problems. Some of the main tasks
of an IDS are to monitor and analyze the user and system activity on a network, to audit the systems

Kolaut Rituals In Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart
70 to 76 percent of yams produced come from Nigeria. In Nigeria, the number one thing that they
eat there is yams. Chinua Achebe, the author of Things Fall Apart, illustrates how food is a very
big part of the Igo society. Food is a big part of the African culture in general. Chinua Achebe
emphasizes the importance of their main crop, which is yams, the Kola nut ritual, and palm wine.
In Nigeria, their main crop that is grown and eaten is yams. In the novel, Things Fall Apart,
Okonkwo, the main character, is a prosperous yam farmer. He starts farming at a very young age
but has always been good at what he does.He comes from a background where his father is very

a room that only guys are allowed in and women are only allowed if they are invited by a man.
Okonkwo said to Ibe who is the suitor wanting to marry Akueke, that wine is the work of a good
tapper (72). Ibe got very excited because his father does not think that he is that good of a palm

Summary Of Flesh And Blood So Cheap
Both fire extinguishers and smoke detectors were invented in the early 1900s, yet 146 lives
were taken in the Triangle Fire. Could you imagine the lack of safety standards during this time
period? The non fictional story, Flesh and Blood So Cheap, by Albert Marrin, uses explicit and
implicit evidence throughout the text to convey his theme about the unsafe conditions that
resulted into the tragedy of the Triangle Fire. First of all, Marrin uses explicit ideas to inform
readers about some of the events in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. For example, he states in the
text that a worker in the building had probably thrown away a cigar in the trash, which started the
fire. In the first paragraph, the text states, Most likely, a cutter flicked a hot ash or tossed a live
cigarette butt into the scrap bin. From this phrase, readers can obviously tell that if the cutter had
not used the cigarette in the first place, the fire might have never occurred. When people from the
ninth floor prepared to jump to their deaths, the firefighters came to rescue them, but failed to save
anyone. In paragraph twelve, it states, The men s hands were bleeding, the nets were torn and some
caught fire from burning clothing. The same paragraph also states,... Show more content on

According to paragraph two, it states, A foreman ran for the hose on the stairway wall. Nothing!
No water came. This quote shows that it was the building was not safe because the hose was not
connected to the water. Another implicit quote is stated in paragraph seven, where it states, Those
who reached the ninth floor stairway door found it locked. This was not unusual, as employers
often locked doors to discourage latecomers... This quote supports the fact that readers can infer
that the owner did not care for the workers because they locked doors in the building, which is also
another unsafe condition in the

Gel Electrophoresis In Science
Gel electrophoresis has had a very big impact on the world of science today. In this present day,
scientists now have a simple and definite way to test and contrast a wide variety of different
DNA samples, leading to more complex and particular DNA testing (LinkedIn Corporation,
2017). Gel electrophoresis is now a scientific method in which is an absolute necessity in
science, particularly in the forensics field. This process of gel electrophoresis gives forensic

The Tyranny Of White Majority Essay
The United States, even though considered the land of freedom, has been struggling with lingering
racism and discrimination throughout the 19th and 20th century. Democratic reform throughout the
century were implanted to eliminate the tyranny of the white majority Yet many scholars like
Tocqueville, Fredrick Harris and WEB DuBois have challenged these results. The reality is that the
tyranny of white majority has continued throughout the 18th to the 21st century resulting in a
society that has suppressed and constantly failed to integrate African Americaninto the white society
by neglecting the race, using natural prejudice, race neutral policies, and laws that benefited whites
more than African Americans.
Even before the 13th amendment and emancipation of slaves, small reforms in the northern
states were being implemented to create a true free society. One would argue that these reforms
were the first steps of a liberal reform that would lead to the eventual equality amongst the two
races but what is forgotten is that even though reforms were passed the white majority had a
natural prejudice. Tocqueville explains what makes the natural prejudice was the disgrace the
African American ethnicity received by being forced as slaves. This slavery was based on race
rather than being like ancient slavery which had nothing to do the face of a person (PG 400). The
African Americans who were considered free during the that were still disgraced because as
Tocqueville said free

Theory Of Reasoned Action
2.5.1Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA)
Theory of Reasoned Action is a model for prediction of behavioral intention spanning prediction of
attitudes and normative beliefs (Southey, 2011; Pai Huang, 2011). This theory has been used by
researchers for technology adoption studies (Southey, 2011). The theory has developed by Martin
Fishbein and Icek Ajzen (1975, 1980). Sadeghi and Farokhian (2011) stated, according to this
theory, attitudes towards the behavior and subjective norms influence individual s intent to adopt
an innovation. Following equation shows clearly the association of these two factors.
Behavioral intention = Attitude + Subjective norms
Subsequently, individual intention to perform the behavior determines person s behavior. Further it

Subsequently, individual s or group s behavior is determined by social pressure which comes under
three ways of belief of what others think, what experts think and motivation to comply with others.
Figure 2.3 gives a clear picture about the theory.
Figure 2.3 Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) model
According to this theory, it implies that individual s behaviors are within a person s control and
their actual behavior is foreseen by their behavioral intention. Further, theory shows that two factors
of attitude towards the behavior and beliefs which are related to other people s assistance of
behavior determine the individual intention. However, theory does not give any evidence related to
people s culture and trust how affects the user behavior.
2.5.2Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB)
The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) is a theory about the link between beliefs and behavior.
In 1985, the concept of TPB was proposed by Icek Ajzen to improve the predictive power of the
theory of reasoned action by including perceived behavioral controls (Pai Huang, 2011). Southey
(2011) posits that literature is replete with

as explained by the Leak Video interview titled: Architects Engineers for 9/11 Truth. Richard Gage,
the interviewed architect for the video, and respected AIAI san franscico bay area architect, helps

Definition Of Drunk Driving
People often get confused with the different terms used to describe or classify drunk driving. The
fact is that there really is not much difference between them. Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and
Driving Under the Influence (DUI) are the same but some states use one term while another state
uses the other term. Some states use the term OUI which stands for Operating under the influence.
All three terms refer to the same offense of drinking while driving.
DUI is the most widely used term for drunk driving. DWI is less common but is used in New York,
Texas, and Missouri. OUI is more commonly used in the North eastern States including
Massachusetts, Maine, and Rhode Island. There are also other terms used by some states such as
OWI (Operating While Intoxicated), OMVI (Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated), DUII
(Driving under the influence of an intoxicant), DWAI (Driving While Ability Impaired), and DWUI
(Driving While Under the Influence).
Drunk driving is a persistent problem on our roads today. In Kansas City especially, the
prevalence of drivers who act negligent and get behind the wheel while being intoxicated
continues to increase. Drunk driving incidents are especially observed during holidays such as
Independence Day, St. Patrick s Day and Cinco de Mayo. On St. Patrick s Day alone, police
officers got 41 drunks out of 1300 vehicles that were checked. In 2016, there were 999 DUIs and
this number did not include North KC, Jackson County, and other nearby areas.

The Expedition Of Captain Meriwether Lewis And Lewis s...
After United States purchased Louisiana from France in 1803, most of the land west of the
Mississippi River was completely strange to the Americans. The Americas needed more land to
settle in and for this reason, it was importance to explore it before they could settle in. It is for
this reason that President Thomas Jefferson decided to commission an expedition under the
command of Captain Meriwether Lewis and Lewis s close friend as Second Lieutenant William
Clark. Jefferson s main objective in this expedition was to explore and create a map of the newly
acquired territory thus finding a route across the western half of the continent. This was to help him
establish an American presence in the west before Spain, British and other European... Show more

Diplomacy When Jefferson sent Lewis, he told him that they should tell the natives to make
friends with the American because they were going to pass to the Pacific Ocean, it will now be
proper you should inform those through whose country you will pass . . . that henceforth we
become their fathers and friends . This is a clear indicator that the Americans perceived the
Indians to be a hostile community. Previously, when the Euro Americans met with the Indians,
they used to use ancient diplomatic protocols such as ceremonial gifts, displays of military
powers and formal languages. However, due to the difference in understanding by the two, it
used to result in conflict. Therefore, when Clark and Lewis understood the concept and symbols
from the Indians, it was easy for them to agree on thus diplomacy was established. William
Clark recorded a speech in which the chiefs called them father while they called the Indians
children. This was a great result of diplomacy since to the Indians it expressed kinship.
Geography As stated in the beginning, Lewis was to draw some maps that would help them to be
able to know the face of the country as Jefferson puts it. During their journey, Lewis and Gallatin
collected the latest maps and made several sketches. They also used the help of the native people in
order to record their astronomical and geographic observations. To most

Analysis Of The Book The Revolution By Jack Rakove
Revolutionaries, by Jack Rakove published in 2010 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing
Company, which is located in New York city, New York, brings a collection of stories of the
founding fathers together to create the story of the American Revloution. The thesis of the book is
arguably that the American Revolutionmay never have happened without the mishaps of the Boston
Tea Party, which in turn created a collection of colonial leaders. Rakove s book, in the early
chapters, focus on Samuel and John Adams, John Dickinson, and George Washington. The later
sections talk about the trio of key party leaders in the early Republic: Jefferson, Madison, and
Hamilton. Throughout, we are introduced to less commonly know people: Henry Laurens, Jack
Laurens, Arthur Lee and George Mason The account of the first part of Revolutionaries is one we
all learn in elementary school: no taxation without representation and the Boston Tea Party. We re
too comfortable with this period, or at least with how we know it: the characters and the events
have the well worn quality that comes from being handled too much. Benjamin Franklinwith his
half glasses sells us plumbing and tax advice. Proud Sam Adams hawks beer. Rakove uses rich
descriptions of the Founders daily lives to quicken the plaster cast heroes. While the First
Continental Congress (meeting in Philadelphia in the fall of 1774) was debating how to respond to
harsh British sanctions against the city of Boston, delegate George

A concept identical to taking the Stranger s foul ball and turning it fair unjustly. The Woman s
experience is similar to Patricia Williams experience in her essay The Death of the Profane: The
Rhetoric of Race and Rights . Williams describes her encounter with discrimination from a Stranger
as being ... an outward manifestation of his never having to let someone like me into the realm of
his reality (Williams 424). Both The Woman and Williams are aware of the attempts made by the
Strangers to shun them from living and prospering equally among one another. However, both of
these women were not discouraged by their treatment and decided to fight. While The Woman s
attempt failed due to her trust in an agency ran by Strangers, so did Williams. In Williams
second retelling of her experience, she wrote an essay. An essay being written, for a symposium
on Excluded Voices sponsored by a law review (Williams 425). With the credibility of a law firm,
there is the assumption that there is no need for constant political correctness compared to the
average newspaper. However, time and time again, the editors took information out of her essay,
such as her race and location of the incident, because they wanted to follow set guidelines, and
feared persecution and accountability (425). However, this did not stop Williams, as seen in her
third retelling of her experience. She goes on to tell the world her story by speech. At this point,
there is no one to censor her words, because it is her alone on the stage to hit a homerun.
However, she notices the effects of her decision. Many questioned her experience; leaving her to
wonder, What makes my experience the real black one anyway[s]? (Williams 427). Regardless of
the fact both women carried out their fights on the legal level, it brings up the question of what is
true. Both The

Data analysis is a critical component of the Continuous Improvement Model. For a school to make

54.5% of students making learning gains in reading, with 0% difference for the three years. In the

achievement levels and subgroups in reading and math for three years: This data in available in the
School Public Accountability Report (SPAR). It is useful in narrowing the specific groups of
students that are not making gains, and identifying the areas of deficiencies and strengths.
(2) The percentage of the all 9th grade students that made learning gains which are also in the
lowest quartile for three years: This data can be gathered from the Individual Student Achievement

Hiroshima Bombing Cons
On the morning of August 6th, 1945 the Enola Gay dropped the first atom bomb nicknamed the

And three days later another atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki killing thousands of more
people. America shouldn t have dropped the bomb for many reason and they re becuase it is
inhumane to kill thousands of innocent civilians when Japan s Military was crumbling. This leads
me to my next argument that since their military was crumbling you can assume they were going to

Major Themes In The Fifth Wave By Rick Yancey
The Fifth Wave Theme Essay
The author of the The 5th Wave, Rick Yancey, had several prominent themes. Three were most
vital; first, war cannot change who a person really is at their core, second, people are defined by
the choices they make, and third, family is worth living for. These are the best and most
important motifs of The 5th Wave. The first theme, war cannot change who a person really is at
their core, recurs during several incidences which reinstates the significance. For example, Ben
tries to make Ringer smile despite being in the midst of the end of the world. When Cassie and
Sammy reunite, he goes back to his five year old self despite his being in boot camp for months
prior, and lastly, Cassie and Evan flirt... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Walker but she still did not hesitate to kiss him, cuddle, fight, or anything that a normal couple

chest, his other hand sliding across my neck... Despite Cassie being shot in the leg by an unknown
shooter, aliens trying to take over the Earth, her brother being taken, and her family being dead, she
is still a teenage girl who enjoys male interaction.
An additional theme heavily shown throughout the book is people are defined by the choices they
make . Ben left his little sister, Sissy, to die, even though he could have made an effort to save her;
because he left her, he now vows not to run from danger or those things which scare him.
Furthermore, Cassie promises Sammy that she will find him and, because she makes that promise,
she will stop at nothing to be with him again.
At the beginning of the arrival, Ben and his family stayed at their house. One night, there are
gunshots and screams heard coming from their neighbors house; Ben s mother demands them to
blow out the candles which lit the rooms and his father told Ben that If anything happens to me,
take care of your mother and baby sister, (Page 117). After that, the door crashes open and Ben s
father shoots the male intruder to no avail his father is then shot in the face and Ben

The Dining Hall
Just a few feet behind her, Gigliola and Josephine sat alone at a table for four facing the dining hall,
having an ample view of all the other tables and the attending guests. Martha glanced at them and
understood their feelings. Their expressions denoted anguish, discontent and internal conflict.
Gigliola s complexion had a greyish hue, a mixture of physical illness and the anger eroding her

his former wife had brought the family together for the first time in many years. Joseph and Marth

their marriage in 2007. Life has blessed them with two beautiful girls, Daniella, one year old and
Lina three and a half. This memorable day kept them not only busy, but, also aware of their family
commitments. Perhaps, it had borne more relevance for Dominick; Danielle s baptism had brought
the family together in a celebration that could have no future parallel. The twelfth child of the

known as tooth decay, or caries are the result bacteria in your mouth that then turns into acids. The
bacteria, acids, food and other debris combine to form plaque. The plaque sticks to the teeth and
begins to dissolve the teeth creating the holes that we call cavities. Dental cavities can cause pain
and discomfort. Cavities are bad because they can damage your teeth and even cause you to lose
your teeth.
Periodontal disease is the infection and inflammation of tissues that support your teeth. Many
adults have some sort of form of the disease. Periodontal disease can ange from gum inflammation
to a serious disease that s causes damage to the tissues and even bone that support the teeth and can
cause teeth to be lost. Like cavities whatever is in our mouth turns into acid, and causes build up

When a tooth is lost, it lacks the stimulation to the surrounding bone that result in a decrease in
the tooth s density and dimension. Meaning there is a loss of width and height of the bone; like
the jaw. When teeth are lost the facial aging, process is more rapid. A decrease in face height
occurs because of the bone loss when teeth are lost. This results in many facial changes such as a
decrease in the angle next to the lips and deepening of the vertical lines of the lip creating a
harsher appearance. As bone loss progresses the chin rotates forward making one look unhappy
with their mouth at rest. Another effect is lower intake of foods due to trouble chewing. This
reduces the nutritional intake and can cause several more health problems like illness, debilitation
and a shortened life

Mise En Scene
Sound and smell crowded Julios mind, pure ecstasy mixed with the over stimulation of thumping
music and free flowing drugs pushed his pupils wide and his pores open, his brow furrowed and
his mouth clenched into a dumb grin. With each bass filled kick of the music and flash of the cyan
lights his eyes flicked left to right, his ocular nerves flaring with excitement at the melting colors
and waving soundthat he was immersed in. The pleasing form of a woman half his age moving
along with the music, her outline dragging behind her motion leaving a line of rainbow outlines,
each one like a frame of a movie.
On the stout table in front of him there was a shot glass half filled with a viscous blue substance,
Slither, the best party drug ever found. He wrapped his hand around it and took another sip, the
melting colors suddenly shifting from blobs of rainbow to fractals, replicating out into infinity.
What was once a table or a dancing woman became a infinite projection of colors and sounds,
tastes and smells all coalescing and falling away in conjunction, the universe came to Julio in waves
of beauty and absolution, each time it hit it built up on his mind until the final wave broke the damn

The House
During the two years I lived in Charlottesville, Virginia, I passed by Monticello everyday on my
way from home to school; I finally went up there to visit right before I left the town. Weaving
through the giant plantation around it, the shuttle took us from the foot of the mountain to the
hilltop, where the house rested. The house was relatively small compared to the size of the field
surrounding it. Through several preservation and minor renovation, the floor we stepped on was
still the original. I remembered walking under the house and circling back through all the
servants facilities. All the dependencies were built into the side of the mountain in a U shape.
(Figure 6 7) As for the main house for Jefferson and his family, the plan of the house showed that
several rooms, especially the parlor, were hexagons, for maximizing daylight in the house, which
followed the rounded world concept in the Pantheon. Also related to this sense, the front of the
house were never defined. As in Jefferson s day, visitors today enter through the columned portico
of the East Front into the Entrance Hall. West entrance is more private use for family and guests.
But despite the function of the two entrance, there was no clear frontality or a single façade that
dominated the house. Rounded world represented Jefferson s vision of the world. Tracing back to
his early life, he was well known as the third president of America. Yet in his legendary life, he only

question concerning sampling is, What size sample do I need? The answer to this question is
influenced by a number of factors, including the purpose of the study, population size, the risk of
selecting a bad sample, and the allowable sampling error. Interested readers may obtain a more

Using Formulas To Calculate A Sample Size Although tables can provide a useful guide for
determining the sample size, you may need to calculate the necessary sample size for a different
combination of levels of precision, confidence, and variability. The fourth approach to
determining sample size is the application of one of several formulas (Equation 5 was used to
calculate the sample sizes in Table 1 and Table 2 ). Equation 5. Formula For Calculating A
Sample For Proportions For populations that are large, Cochran (1963:75) developed the
Equation 1 to yield a representative sample for proportions. Equation 1. Which is valid where n0
is the sample size, Z2 is the abscissa of the normal curve that cuts off an area at the tails (1
equals the desired confidence level, e.g., 95%)1, e is the desired level of precision, p is the
estimated proportion of an attribute that is present in the population, and q is 1 p. The value for Z
is found in statistical tables which contain the area under the normal curve. To illustrate, suppose
we wish to evaluate a state wide Extension program in which farmers were encouraged to adopt a
new practice. Assume there is a large population but that we do not know the variability in the
proportion that will adopt the practice; therefore, assume p=.5 (maximum variability). Furthermore,
suppose we desire a 95% confidence level and В±5% precision. The resulting sample size is
demonstrated in Equation 2. Equation 2.

The And Managing Student Behavior Essay
PBIS and Managing Student Behavior
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a multi tier strategy based on student
outcome as opposed to a set curriculum. In a classroom it is based on 6 essential practices, but
the strategies can, and should be implemented school wide for maximum benefit. The following
will offer some history on PBIS, a breakdown of the 6 essential classroom practices, and a brief
description of what a three tier strategy would encompass.
History
Positive Behavior Interventions and Strategies (PBIS) was developed in the 1980 s in response to
a need for a more effective management of students with Behavior Disorders (BD) behaviors
(Sugai Simonsen, 2012). Research done at the University of Oregon found that emphasis should be
placed on behavior prevention, and social skill instruction in a school wide system (Sugai Simonsen,
2012). In 1997 with the revision of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) a grant was
included to establish a National Center on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. The
national center was established with the goal of providing technical assistance to schools for the
support of students with BD (Sugai Simonsen, 2012).
PBIS has its roots in intervention for students with BD, but a shift has taken place to PBIS being a
school wide behavioral support. PBIS is now defined as evidence based interventions to achieve
academically and behaviorally important outcomes for all students (Sugai Simonsen, 2012).

The History of Humanitarian Intervention
The history of Humanitarian intervention is a controversial one. In March 1999 the North Atlantic
Treaty Organisation (NATO) justified the use of force against Yugoslavia, a country that at this time
was having a number of atrocities being committed within it. This act welcomed by those that
thought that the veto of the permanent five in the United Nations Security Councilsometimes block
necessary cases of intervention. According to Sarooshi (2001) they believe morality should trump
legality where governments commit mass atrocities. Some claim NATO s action is legal because it
represents the crystallization in state practice of a new customary law of humanitarian intervention.
(Sarooshi, 2001:12) According to a number of authors namely Bellamy, Chandler as this essay shall
soon explore, was the downfall of any form of containing humanitarian intervention . The principle
of Responsibility to Protect(R2P) was endorsed by the United NationsGeneral Assembly in 2005
and in 2006 the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) reaffirmed the R2P principle.
Lyon (2009) questions the validity of the R2P discourse. He describes it as a normative
advancement of the idea of humanitarian intervention. Whilst Bellamy (2008) argues that R2P can
be seen as a working language in the international community where cases of mass atrocities are
being committed.
A question that continues to arise is that of sovereignty. What gives a sovereign state the right to
intervene in another

Why Is Lying Unjustified
Lying, it s everywhere. Almost 60% of most adults can t go ten minutes without telling a lie. Some
people lie to protect other people, while others lie to benefit themselves like maintaining the
perfect image they care so much about. However, lying is completely unjustified unless you re
protecting yourself or someone else from danger. This idea can be further proven with evidence
from a variety of articles.
To begin, many people believe that lying is unjustified, like German philosopher Immanuel Kant.
Although, people agree with this statement, others may disagree. However, some people believe
that ...lying is stressful and hurts relationships. (Ballinger 5). This proves that lying is unjustified
because if you chose to tell the truth it wouldn t be stressful; and also it wouldn t hurt relationships.
Another example within the text states, Delivering the truth is easier, takes less time, and is less
stressful. (Ballinger 5). This shows how if we tell the truth it s easier, and it s less time consuming.
Furthermore, when you lie sometimes you have to rack your brain to remember what you lied
about. In addition, when you lie you lose people s trust. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

piece of evidence within the text states that it s ... OK to lie in certain situations, like protecting

is only justified when protecting people. These examples shows how people use lying to protect

At first glance the retributivist argument against the proposed alternative punishment system is

These rates also oversee the economic growth and the currency purchasing power of countries.
Therefore, exchange rates are vital in ensuring that one country can maintain its value versus the US

It is unlikely for the Euro to gain stability based on the current market movement and expected
market movement in the next three months. With fed intervention, it is expected to see the Euro
/USD exchange rate rise to 1.05, (Eurorateforecast.com, 2015). The Euro is expected to continue
declining for the next three months and even in the foreseeable future. The declining rate has
enabled currencies such as USD and Sterling Pounds to make gains against the Euro in a very
substantial manner. The declining rate of the Euro/USD exchange rate is expected to follow the
trend outlined below in the next three months. The Euro/USD exchange rate is expected to fall to
1.07 in a period of one month and then to 1.05 in three months. The latter will see the USD gain
strength against the Euro, (Bank, 2015). The strength of Euro mainly depends on the desire of
private investors to hold assets in Euros. The European Central Bank has failed to check the anti
inflationary measures that will assist in seeing the Euro strengthen against the US Dollar. The
Central bank has also failed to maintain the price stability that has facilitated the continued
deterioration of the Euro.

When you hear the words Fantasy Role Playing Game (FRPG) or Dungeons Dragons (DnD)

Research Paper On Man On Wire

sidewalk. He risked his well being every day as he persistently sought for new adventures and
structures to walk on. The thrill of each and every experience inspired him to live his life as a

performance between the Twin Towers, people asked him Why? but he answered with, There is no
why. The documentary, Man on Wire, gives us an insight of what his life was like leading up to
the remarkable date, but does not give us the answer as to why a man with a normal conscience
would do such a thing. Although, there are many theories as to why someone would do such a
heedless stunt, the one I conjecture most related to Petit s experience is a theory introduced by
Russell Poldrack. The phenomenal research conducted by Poldrack further elaborates and delivers a
more explicit explanation of the motive that thrives Petit towards this treacherous lifestyle.
An intriguing man who lacks the fear of death is an impeccable way to describe the French wire

Patient care requires the use of ethics and values. Nurses are required to accept a patient s wishes
on choosing their own care. Medication administration also requires the use of ethics and values.
Nurses are required to accept a patient s wishes on refusing a medication and they are also required
to administer a medication using the correct route required. Teaching also requires ethics and
values. A nurse is required to teach a patient the correct information related to their care, while also
respecting the patient. Incorporating ethics is imperative in nursing practice. Ethical theories and
principles that influence nursing practice are discussed in the next paragraph.
Ethical theories play a role in nursing practice. Both of these influence nursing by incorporating
moral decision making. The two ethical theories include naturalism and rationalism. Naturalism
suggests that people with similar situations tend to make the same decisions, while rationalism
suggests that people with similar situations do not make same decisions (Burkhardt and Nathaniel,
2008, pp. 31). Principles also play a role in nursing practice. They influence nursing by allowing
nurses to treat patients and colleagues with respect and dignity. They also allow nurses to provide
adequate care and live up to nursing duties. Principles and ethical theories are important things that
influence nursing practice. Abiding by a code of ethics is equally important.

The Financial Crisis Is Considered By Many People As One...
Introduction to Business Assignment 1 Travis J. Sisson 01 Oct 2016 The 2008 Financial Crisis
is considered by many people as one of the worst recession since the Great Depression that
occurred from 1929 1939. The loss for that week was an astounding $30 billion. This was ten
times more than the annual federal budget and far more than the U.S. had spent in WWI (30B
dollars would be equivalent to $377,587,032,770.41 today). Additionally after posing a huge
effect on the U.S economy, the financial crisis expanded to Europe and the rest of the world. It
brought down governments, wiped out retirement accounts, ruined economies and left a bad taste
of Wall Street in the mouths of generations. These collapses caused a global scale of reform
resulting in the intervention of governments by changing and expanding the monetary and fiscal
policy or giving bailout that were needed in order to eliminate and control enormous effects of the
financial crisis. The financial crisis of 2008, commonly referred to as The Great Recession and the
Global Financial Crisis of 2008 , began with the downfall in the housing market in the United
States. There were many factors that played into the housing bubble to finally burst. Some of these
factors included: subprime loans, overall housing prices that peaked in 2005 2006 (and which are
starting to peak again today), government policy and regulation (or lack thereof), and faulty
mortgages that took advantage of unsuspecting home owners. In

The consumer protection laws are of great advantage to customers as they enable fair treatment and
good value to customers.
Competition Laws
The Office of Fair Trading monitors and ensures that all businesses are at even level with
consumers. The law protects a business from being demoted by its competitors.
For example, when Coca Cola Enterprises Ltd advertises a beverage the company is not to say,
PepsiCo is a waste of money but is allowed to say, Coca Cola reaches the top. This legislation
would limit the market planning of the company.
Competition laws will also be an advantage to customers as they would prevent misleading claims
from businesses.
Below is a description of how a legal factor may affect the activities of Croydon Health Services
NHS:
Health and Safety Law
The law obligates Croydon Health Services NHS to ensure that employees, patients, and so forth
are to be provided a safe environment at all times.
Being in the health sector makes the law very important for the running of the organisation.
Hospitals are the centre of epidemics and diseases which makes this law very important in the
operation of the organisation. Therefore, the organisation has installed equipment that maintains the
hygiene of its hospitals.
The law also obliges the organisation to provide health and safety information and equipment to

Point Of View Analysis
The Importance of One s Point of View Imagine a trial where the jury bases a punishment off of
one side of the issue. Unfair, right? We, humans go through almost the exact same thing.
Humans judge people and situations without even taking another person s point of view into
consideration. Not putting oneself into another s shoes can lead to relationship issues, lifelong
regrets, and misjudgments. A girl s best friend tells her every day that a really cute guy in one of
her classes thinks that her best friend is so hot and that he wants to get to know her. The girl is
fine with it because she thinks he s cute too, but she doesn t know him well so she doesn t want
to be with him. Her best friend always says that the girl and the cute guy from her first hour
should date, so the girl feels like her friend is encouraging the relationship. She tries it; she doesn
t know what to do because she doesn t feel the spark of the relationship. The friend that got the
two together is mad at her friend for talking to him because she had talked to him before, also. The
friend that s with the guy misinterpreted everything and has now lost a best friend so... Show more

When one does not know another s perspective, it can lead to misjudgment of him or her. What if
a homeless person was sitting on the side of the road asking for a place to stay or for even as
little as some spare change? Depending on the person, one may think to themselves The person is
just lazy; maybe they should learn to fend for themselves, or some negative comment. Another
might think Awh, poor guy, he really needs someone; he may need some help. No matter who is
correct out of the two not knowing one side of the story may cause one to judge or misjudge.
Maybe that homeless person got fired, or kicked out of the house, or even in a terrible family
related situation. One may never know, and until he or she does, harsh judgment shouldn t be

Stellar Numbers
The aim of this task is to investigate geometric shapes, which lead to special numbers. The
simplest example of these are square numbers, such as 1, 4, 9, 16, which can be represented by
squares of side 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Triangular numbers are defined as the number of dots in an equilateral triangle uniformly filled with
dots . The sequence of triangular numbers are derived from all natural numbers and zero, if the
following number is always added to the previous as shown below, a triangular number will always
be the outcome:
1 = 1
2 + 1 = 3
3 + (2 + 1) = 6
4 + (1 + 2 + 3) = 10
5 + (1 + 2 + 3 + 4) = 15
Moreover, triangular numbers can be seen in other mathematical theories, such as Pascal s triangle,
as shown in the diagram ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The coefficients above are simply plugged into the calculator; this can be seen in the screenshots
below
Hence the general formula for the sequence is Sn = 6n2 6n + 1, to be certain that this is in fact
correct, it can also be worked out as shown below.
The second difference of the sequence is divided by 2, since this is the value of a, thereafter the
sequence is extended to T0, as the number highlighted in red is c. To figure out the value of b, the
values have been substituted into the quadratic formula as shown below, where after the equation
has been solved using simple algebra.
Sn = an2 + bn + c
Sn = 6n2 + bn + 1
S1 = (6)(1)2 + b(1) + 1
1 = 6 + b + 1 b = 6
в€
ґ Sn = 6n2 6n + 1
As seen above, this method works out the same general formula, and this is tested below to assess
the validity.
Sn = 6n2 6n + 1S3 = 6(3)2 6(3) + 1S3 = 6(9) 18 + 1S3 = 54 17S3 = 37| Sn = 6n2 6n + 1S5 = 6(5)2
6(5) + 1S5 = 6(25) 30 + 1S5 = 150 29S5 = 121|
The results derived from the general formula are the same as worked out earlier when not
applying any formula at all; hence, it is correct and can be applied to terms 3 and 5 and also other
values of n.
The previous example was then repeated using

Why Is It Important To Keep Summer Break
Do you remember how excited you used to get for summer break? Now imagine not having a
break at all, having to continuously learn new subjects all year long. Exhausting isn t it? There
are some schools where there would be a 3 4 week break in the summer, but the winter break is
longer than ours. Personally, I believe that we should keep our summerbreak the way it is because:
both students and teachers deserve a break from school, constantly having new information drilled
into your head all year long is bound to put stress on anyone, and there are countless students who
depend on summer break to work and/or travel.
First off, students and teachers would not be able to stand each other by the end of the year. If
the county had all year round school, we would all start resenting each other because of all the
time we would be forced to spend together. Also, I know a couple of teachers who gave up one
job for being a teacher because of summer break. They have time to travel and do whatever they
want in the summer instead of being stuck in a building with teenagers all day. Plus, teachers also
deserve a break from grading papers and talking until their voice is gone to kids who are probably
not even listening. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Imagine how much those levels would increase if we had school with no breaks. School is
honestly stressful enough as it is; with the amount of work that we get on a daily basis, it s no
wonder we are more anxious than before. If we tried to continuously have new information stored
in our brains, kids would start thinking they aren t smart enough to pass high school so they just
stop trying. Kids also depend on summer break to work, some have families to

  • 2. Career And Educational Goals Research Paper My career and education goals are to go UARM and focus on Machine tool technology. Right now I am currently taking the class after my high school classes and I would like to keep working in this area because so far I really enjoy the class and I love the hands on work we do with the machines and computers. In Mena the are lots of jobs in this field and I would still like to live here. • 3. Taking a Look at Intrusion Detection Intrusion Detection Intrusion detection is similar in concept to a burglar alarm on a car. There is the lock system to prevent access to a car, similar to a firewall, and there is the alarm system, the intrusion detection system. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are there to compliment the network or computers firewall, if or when there is a breach, it is the IDS that is able to identify it and then alert the administrator. Firewalls are an effective way for filtering information coming in to your network from the internet and are a good source of protection, but there are ways to circumvent a firewall which could leave you defenseless. An IDS monitors the firewall for breaches and also monitors the traffic on the organizations network for any anomalies. This is important in the instance of an external user connecting to an organizations infrastructure by connecting through an installed modem on the network, this form of attack cannot be caught by a firewall but an IDS is able to recognize the abnormal activity and report the intrusion to an administrator. Intrusion detection systems are there to help an information system prepare for and deal with attacks. They collect information from a variety of system and network sources and then analyze the information and activity logs searching for information on potential security problems. Could you imagine the lack of safety standards during this time period? The non fictional story, Flesh and Blood So Cheap, by Albert Marrin, uses explicit and implicit evidence throughout the text to convey his theme about the unsafe conditions that resulted into the tragedy of the Triangle Fire. First of all, Marrin uses explicit ideas to inform readers about some of the events in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. For example, he states in the text that a worker in the building had probably thrown away a cigar in the trash, which started the fire. In the first paragraph, the text states, Most likely, a cutter flicked a hot ash or tossed a live cigarette butt into the scrap bin. From this phrase, readers can obviously tell that if the cutter had not used the cigarette in the first place, the fire might have never occurred. When people from the ninth floor prepared to jump to their deaths, the firefighters came to rescue them, but failed to save anyone. The Tyranny Of White Majority Essay The United States, even though considered the land of freedom, has been struggling with lingering racism and discrimination throughout the 19th and 20th century. Democratic reform throughout the century were implanted to eliminate the tyranny of the white majority Yet many scholars like Tocqueville, Fredrick Harris and WEB DuBois have challenged these results. The reality is that the tyranny of white majority has continued throughout the 18th to the 21st century resulting in a society that has suppressed and constantly failed to integrate African Americaninto the white society by neglecting the race, using natural prejudice, race neutral policies, and laws that benefited whites more than African Americans. Even before the 13th amendment and emancipation of slaves, small reforms in the northern states were being implemented to create a true free society. One would argue that these reforms were the first steps of a liberal reform that would lead to the eventual equality amongst the two races but what is forgotten is that even though reforms were passed the white majority had a natural prejudice. Tocqueville explains what makes the natural prejudice was the disgrace the African American ethnicity received by being forced as slaves. This slavery was based on race rather than being like ancient slavery which had nothing to do the face of a person (PG 400). Analysis Of The Book The Revolution By Jack Rakove Revolutionaries, by Jack Rakove published in 2010 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company, which is located in New York city, New York, brings a collection of stories of the founding fathers together to create the story of the American Revloution. The thesis of the book is arguably that the American Revolutionmay never have happened without the mishaps of the Boston Tea Party, which in turn created a collection of colonial leaders. Rakove s book, in the early chapters, focus on Samuel and John Adams, John Dickinson, and George Washington. The later sections talk about the trio of key party leaders in the early Republic: Jefferson, Madison, and Hamilton. Throughout, we are introduced to less commonly know people: Henry Laurens, Jack Laurens, Arthur Lee and George Mason The account of the first part of Revolutionaries is one we all learn in elementary school: no taxation without representation and the Boston Tea Party. We re too comfortable with this period, or at least with how we know it: the characters and the events have the well worn quality that comes from being handled too much. • 24. The House During the two years I lived in Charlottesville, Virginia, I passed by Monticello everyday on my way from home to school; I finally went up there to visit right before I left the town. Weaving through the giant plantation around it, the shuttle took us from the foot of the mountain to the hilltop, where the house rested. The house was relatively small compared to the size of the field surrounding it. Through several preservation and minor renovation, the floor we stepped on was still the original. I remembered walking under the house and circling back through all the servants facilities. All the dependencies were built into the side of the mountain in a U shape. (Figure 6 7) As for the main house for Jefferson and his family, the plan of the house showed that several rooms, especially the parlor, were hexagons, for maximizing daylight in the house, which followed the rounded world concept in the Pantheon. Also related to this sense, the front of the house were never defined. As in Jefferson s day, visitors today enter through the columned portico of the East Front into the Entrance Hall. West entrance is more private use for family and guests. But despite the function of the two entrance, there was no clear frontality or a single faГ§ade that dominated the house. Rounded world represented Jefferson s vision of the world. Tracing back to his early life, he was well known as the third president of America. Using Formulas To Calculate A Sample Size Although tables can provide a useful guide for determining the sample size, you may need to calculate the necessary sample size for a different combination of levels of precision, confidence, and variability. The fourth approach to determining sample size is the application of one of several formulas (Equation 5 was used to calculate the sample sizes in Table 1 and Table 2 ). Equation 5. Formula For Calculating A Sample For Proportions For populations that are large, Cochran (1963:75) developed the Equation 1 to yield a representative sample for proportions. Equation 1. Which is valid where n0 is the sample size, Z2 is the abscissa of the normal curve that cuts off an area at the tails (1 equals the desired confidence level, e.g., 95%)1, e is the desired level of precision, p is the estimated proportion of an attribute that is present in the population, and q is 1 p. The value for Z is found in statistical tables which contain the area under the normal curve. To illustrate, suppose we wish to evaluate a state wide Extension program in which farmers were encouraged to adopt a new practice. Assume there is a large population but that we do not know the variability in the proportion that will adopt the practice; therefore, assume p=.5 (maximum variability). • 26. The And Managing Student Behavior Essay PBIS and Managing Student Behavior Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a multi tier strategy based on student outcome as opposed to a set curriculum. In a classroom it is based on 6 essential practices, but the strategies can, and should be implemented school wide for maximum benefit. The following will offer some history on PBIS, a breakdown of the 6 essential classroom practices, and a brief description of what a three tier strategy would encompass. History Positive Behavior Interventions and Strategies (PBIS) was developed in the 1980 s in response to a need for a more effective management of students with Behavior Disorders (BD) behaviors (Sugai Simonsen, 2012). Research done at the University of Oregon found that emphasis should be placed on behavior prevention, and social skill instruction in a school wide system (Sugai Simonsen, 2012). In 1997 with the revision of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) a grant was included to establish a National Center on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. The national center was established with the goal of providing technical assistance to schools for the support of students with BD (Sugai Simonsen, 2012). PBIS has its roots in intervention for students with BD, but a shift has taken place to PBIS being a school wide behavioral support. PBIS is now defined as evidence based interventions to achieve academically and behaviorally important outcomes for all students (Sugai Simonsen, 2012). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This act welcomed by those that thought that the veto of the permanent five in the United Nations Security Councilsometimes block necessary cases of intervention. According to Sarooshi (2001) they believe morality should trump legality where governments commit mass atrocities. Some claim NATO s action is legal because it represents the crystallization in state practice of a new customary law of humanitarian intervention. The principle of Responsibility to Protect(R2P) was endorsed by the United NationsGeneral Assembly in 2005 and in 2006 the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) reaffirmed the R2P principle. Lyon (2009) questions the validity of the R2P discourse. He describes it as a normative advancement of the idea of humanitarian intervention. Some people lie to protect other people, while others lie to benefit themselves like maintaining the perfect image they care so much about. However, lying is completely unjustified unless you re protecting yourself or someone else from danger. This idea can be further proven with evidence from a variety of articles. To begin, many people believe that lying is unjustified, like German philosopher Immanuel Kant. Although, people agree with this statement, others may disagree. However, some people believe that ...lying is stressful and hurts relationships. (Ballinger 5). Sisson 01 Oct 2016 The 2008 Financial Crisis is considered by many people as one of the worst recession since the Great Depression that occurred from 1929 1939. The loss for that week was an astounding $30 billion. This was ten times more than the annual federal budget and far more than the U.S. had spent in WWI (30B dollars would be equivalent to $377,587,032,770.41 today). Additionally after posing a huge effect on the U.S economy, the financial crisis expanded to Europe and the rest of the world. It brought down governments, wiped out retirement accounts, ruined economies and left a bad taste of Wall Street in the mouths of generations. These collapses caused a global scale of reform resulting in the intervention of governments by changing and expanding the monetary and fiscal policy or giving bailout that were needed in order to eliminate and control enormous effects of the financial crisis. The financial crisis of 2008, commonly referred to as The Great Recession and the Global Financial Crisis of 2008 , began with the downfall in the housing market in the United States. There were many factors that played into the housing bubble to finally burst. Sn = an2 + bn + c Sn = 6n2 + bn + 1 S1 = (6)(1)2 + b(1) + 1 1 = 6 + b + 1 b = 6 в€ ґ Sn = 6n2 6n + 1 As seen above, this method works out the same general formula, and this is tested below to assess the validity. Sn = 6n2 6n + 1S3 = 6(3)2 6(3) + 1S3 = 6(9) 18 + 1S3 = 54 17S3 = 37| Sn = 6n2 6n + 1S5 = 6(5)2 6(5) + 1S5 = 6(25) 30 + 1S5 = 150 29S5 = 121| The results derived from the general formula are the same as worked out earlier when not

  • 45. Why Is It Important To Keep Summer Break Do you remember how excited you used to get for summer break? Now imagine not having a break at all, having to continuously learn new subjects all year long. Exhausting isn t it? There are some schools where there would be a 3 4 week break in the summer, but the winter break is longer than ours. Personally, I believe that we should keep our summerbreak the way it is because: both students and teachers deserve a break from school, constantly having new information drilled into your head all year long is bound to put stress on anyone, and there are countless students who depend on summer break to work and/or travel. First off, students and teachers would not be able to stand each other by the end of the year. If the county had all year round school, we would all start resenting each other because of all the time we would be forced to spend together. Also, I know a couple of teachers who gave up one job for being a teacher because of summer break. They have time to travel and do whatever they want in the summer instead of being stuck in a building with teenagers all day. Plus, teachers also deserve a break from grading papers and talking until their voice is gone to kids who are probably not even listening. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Imagine how much those levels would increase if we had school with no breaks. School is honestly stressful enough as it is; with the amount of work that we get on a daily basis, it s no wonder we are more anxious than before. If we tried to continuously have new information stored in our brains, kids would start thinking they aren t smart enough to pass high school so they just stop trying. Kids also depend on summer break to work, some have families to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
