2. The Impact Of Illegal Immigrants On US Wages
The Impact of Illegal Immigrants on US Wages
Jessica Cotter
ECON 3231
11/20/2017
The United States of America has the highest number of immigrants in the world. The population of
both illegal and undocumented immigrants has increased drastically over the past decade.
According to the current statistics, there are 11.9 million estimated illegal immigrants living and
working in the USA. The statistics translate to five hundred thousand new entrants annually in the
last ten years. The remaining 40% of illegal immigrants arrive on temporary visas but they choose
to remain in the country after their visas expire. However, the state of the recession has temporarily
stopped the population growth of unauthorized immigrants, but entry into the US is expected to
resume after the recovery of its economy if past experience is a guide. Immigration policies and
reforms have raised political heat with President Trump threatening to deport all illegal immigrants.
However, the Democrats and Republicans never seem to agree on immigration reforms. Donald
Trump has promised to build a wall on the US Mexico border to prevent the influx of illegal
immigrants as well as curb drug and human trafficking routes. President Trump seems to be
committed to his immigration reforms based on his temporary executive order to stop immigrants
from Somalia, Yemen, and Iran among other Arab states from entering the US. There are many
economic impacts of illegal immigrants in the country.

Theta Sorority. I asked Cuevas if she had any family members that were Deltas and she confirmed
that she in fact did. Cuevas has a cousin that s a Delta and her grandmother s best friend is also a

The era of feudal Japan was a rich developing culture that gave fruit to the Tale of Genji and the
Tale of Heike, 2 major works of Japanese prose. Both historic are consider the greatest
masterpieces of Japanese literature. A martial epic deeply influenced by Buddhism and a sensual,
romantic psychological prose. Both served as a window to the archaic era s way of like. The two
brilliant pieces though a few years apart from their timeline in which written share some
similarities, even so are more vastly different pertaining to culture, ideals beliefs and theme. The

In those days men were taught to write in Chinese it was a sign of superior status which was
prominent in their writings and all other documents. Women were generally being much more
discreet when using Chinese symbols, bounding them to native and traditional Japanese words.
Lady Murusaki wrote The Tale of Genji in Japanese radiotelephony alphabet and not Chinese.
And the main reason was because the Tale was geared towards female audiences, whom only
knew Japanese traditional writing. Even so, Murusaki being a woman she was educated in

6. Thomas Jefferson And Martin Luther King Jr.
We are all pretty familiar with Thomas Jefferson and Martin Luther King Jr., both being significant
historical figures, fighting for different ideas. During the 1700s , Jefferson was growing up in a
rich white environment and privileged to the extent where he is later classified as an American
founding father. A very different background compared to the majority of the colonies population at
that time and two distinct relations shared between them. Unlike Jefferson, Dr. King was raised by
a faithful family and a religious environment while being targeted in a discriminative and racist
atmosphere, resembling the expected stereotypical lifestyle of an African Americanmale during the
1900s . Unlike many other African Americans, King achieved the near impossible in getting as
far as an education; the pressure in even attending a segregated school was overwhelming for a
lot of African American individuals. Since we looked at both very distinct lifestyles, we can
probably guess how and where the motives behind Jefferson s Declaration of Independence and
Dr. King s I Have A Dream came about. Comparison and contrast wise, what are the propositions
Jefferson and King have for the topic of equality? Does Jefferson s perspective on equality
contradict or corroborate with Dr. Kings ? But when you really get down to it, do either ones
perspective have similar traits to what kind of society we are living in or is it too irrational to
justify? Beginning myself, the main issue that

Imagine this, a perfect world of complete harmony and justice. There is no wrong, and there is

place that people dream about. It might even be the picture of the future. However, this Utopian
world is revealed to have flaws. It lacks many of the qualities of life that exist today. Thus the
Utopian world isn t so Utopian anymore. And the more that is revealed about the world, the more
horrible it becomes. Soon, it becomes a nightmare, a world of illusions, of lies. That is the dystopic

This way of thinking is also twisted in a sense, because totalitarian governments do not care for
the well being of its people. The people who rule only want power. That is why the reader realizes
that the piece of literature is dystopic. In Fahrenheit 451, the totalitarian government controls the
police, mechanical hounds, and the firemen. The firemen act under the wishes of the government to
burn people s books. An explanation of the firemen is revealed in Beatty s quote, ...there was no
longer need of firemen for the old purposes. They were given the new job, as custodians of out
peace of mind, the focus of our understandable and rightful dread of being inferior: official censors,
judges, and executors. That s you, Montag, and that s me (58, 59). Beatty is explaining the reason
that governments created firemen to burn books. The government can censor information that the
public receives with the creation of the firemen, and it is the job to the people and the firemen to do
their duties without question. That illustrates the totalitarian government in the society of
Fahrenheit 451.
In 1984, the totalitarian government is led by a figure, Big Brother. The Inner Party and the Outer
Party are also part of the totalitarian government, only consisting of 15% of the population of
Oceania. These people in the Inner and Outer Parties, with the exception to Winston, are

8. Anne Bradstreet s The Prologue
Section One: The Prologue 208 09 Anne Bradstreet s The Prologue is generally considered one
of her most vivid statements regarding her role in a Puritan society. This is a poem where she
reveals who she is to her readers. Bradstreet is critical of those individuals who place restrictions
on women s roles in society, especially in consideration of a female writer in a male dominated
environment. In the first few stanzas Bradstreet talks about how her ability as a poet is not up to
the task, unlike the work of men. This is implied when she mentions that Let Poets and Historians
set these forth. My obscure lines shall not so dim their worth. Bradstreet goes further and mentions

In the first lines of her poem she describes how a pilgrim reaches his goal. She references the
pilgrim as a symbol of determination and perseverance to be followed, especially when hoping
to attain a dream. Being a pilgrim herself, and living in a Puritan society, her audience was able
to relate to her plight and feelings about the journeys that are taken throughout one s life. In this
poem, Bradstreet uses her skills to compare the voyage to America from England to the journey
a religious person is to take to Heaven from Earth. Now that the journey of the pilgrim has
ended, he no longer has to endure the hardships of the trip to his destination, his dangers past,
and travails done. However, in order to reach his destination the pilgrim has made sacrifices, like
leaving things behind. Otherwise he wouldn t have been able to accomplish his feat, and
therefore, to All cares and fears he bids farewell . Later one Bradstreet contemplates how the
pilgrim has been successful in his achievement, and how she herself wanted to be part of such
journey. Bradstreet sees herself in the image of the pilgrim, renouncing to the world in her way to
Heaven. She feels tempted, but obeys the will of God. Bradstreet reminds others that while it is
not easy to live a sinless life, the reward at the end is worth all the effort. She understands the
difficulties of her plan, and longs to be at rest and soar on high among the blest. Although the
journey is lengthy and arduous, Bradstreet realizes that there are still many years before she
achieves her goal, years in which she will have to continue following the Commandments and
struggling against the society she has been born in. Still, she continues her journey, weary, but
hoping for rest, until the day she completes her voyage to eternal life in

I had the opportunity to interview Dane Brewer, the former owner of a Utah local business called
Advantech. Dane now lives where I grew up in Moab, Utah. Moab, being a small town everyone is
pretty tight knit and that is how I had the opportunity to talk with Dane on the phone for this project.
Growing up my dad was always a busy business person. I remember ever since I was younger I
wanted to become a business owner just like him. He was a very helpful man with big dreams and
now that I am grown up I see myself in that man day to day.
This memo summarizes the extent knowledge Dane has in entrepreneurship as well as great advice
he provided for me.
Education
In interviewing Dane Brewer he informed me on his education. He graduated from the University
of Utah with a Bachelor s of Science of Electrical Engineering. This degree is not limited to
Electrical work. This degree is all about electricity to power to how to design computers. To
complete this degree Dane spent four years and one summer in school.
The first three years of college Dane worked for Utah Power and Light (Rocky Mountain
Power). While he was working for them he read about a scientist of the name Dr. Thomas

because he loved music. When Dane was a senior he went to the company Stockum was running

11. Enzyme Concentration
This experiment was carried out with many precautions to minimise error margins. These measures
included putting the measuring cylinders in the water bath/ ice box/ and bench top at the same
time, using the same capsicum extract, having the same person record the results and add the
capsicum extract. However there were still some results that exhibited error such as collecting the
measuring cylinders at different times which prolonged the exposure, as well as have a delay
between starting the timer and adding the capsicum extract. Other issues consist of having an
uneven layer of foam (O2) which was a random error that made it difficult to record mL, and
forgetting to record the temperatureof the H2O2.
Ideally there should have been a gap between exposing each measuring cylinder to the change in
temperature, so once one temperature was recorded the next one was ready rather than them
overlapping. Another improvement in the experiment would be to assign the task of timing to one
person and adding the extract to another person to diminish the gap between completing each of
the tasks*. In addition, testing more temperature points or repeating the experiment would allow
for a wider range of results and a higher accuracy reading of the ideal conditions for enzyme
reactivity. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

IV. Question 2 Compare and contrast Milton s Raphael with Pope s Ariel in as many respects as
you can. John Milton and Alexander Pope both write of supporting characters that are sent to
protect the main character in their stories. Both Ariel and Raphael have many similar qualities
that make them a character that is used to bring warning to the protagonist and to foreshadow to
readers what the outcome of the story will be. Ariel is a sylph, or a magical being that was a
coquette in his life before. Although this is distinctly different than Raphael s identity as one of
God s angels, they share several qualities. Both are described as being very friendly and gentle.
Ariel warns Belinda through a dream in attempt to protect her from the stealing of a lock of her
hair. Raphael is sent to Eden to become friends with Adam and to warn him of the sin that is
lying in wait for them. Both of these guardians are seeking protection for the human and desire
for them to be kept from evil. They also try to relate to the humans. Ariel understands Belinda s
vanity and pride in her appearance because he once was a coquette as well. He even assists in
her thorough morning routine. Raphael is also able to relate to Adam through the discussion of

to not idolize his love for Eve. Angels seem to have many qualities that are similar to Adam and

A hypothesis is a statement of prediction. A proposition is a statement about certain concepts that
can be judged true or false. When a proposition begins to be tested, it is known as a hypothesis.

20. Similarities Between OLAP And ORDBMS
Abstract: ORDBMS (Object relational Database Management Systems) provides a convenient
migration for users to enhance and form combined capabilities of relational DBMSs (RDBMSs)
while adding the features appearing in object DBMSs (ODBMSs). ORDBMS adopt the approach
of queries in management of data which is being inherited from that of RDBMS.
OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) is used for the analysis of complex data for the successful
management. OLAP has different meanings depending upon the specific combination of different
technologies however; it is an integral technique of data warehousing solution. This paper will treat

The major distinguishing features between ORDBMS and OLAP are summarized as
Follows:
Users and system orientation: An ORDBMS technology is customer oriented and is used for query
processing and transactions by information technology professionals, clerks and clients.
An OLAP system is used for data analysis by knowledge workers, including managers, executives,
and analysts and it is market oriented.
Data contents: An ORDBMS system manages current data that typically are too detailed to be
easily used for decision making.
An OLAP system provides facilities for summarization and aggregation, and stores and manages
information at different levels of granularity. It manages large amounts of historical data. These
features make the data easier to use in informed decision making.
Database design: An ORDBMS system usually adopts an entity relationship (ER) or extended entity

21. Being A Coach
The importance of being a coach of a team is to encourage teamwork and enhance self confidence
on the pitch, as well as off. The coach is the structural foundation of developing a successful team.
The coaching role would include things like helping the team flow as one single unit other than
multiple little units, to help increase skill and teamwork and put the players together to create a
winning outcome. At their worst, coaches can push the psychological, emotional, and physical
limits of their players to the point of deleterious conduct, create a hostile and unfair environment,
and turn young athletes away from sports forever. Naturally every coachwill need to know a variety
of skills that have to do with technique, obtaining omnipotent... Show more content on

The first concern with being a coach is where to start with training the players. The coach is to
measure skill levels of the individuals, their mentality of the sport, and also, how they interact
with each other is key to being a coach. Secondly, the most important role of a coach is to be the
role model for his/her players and to be able to have patients and be forthright more often then not.
A great place to start coaching is by understanding the dynamics of the team. This is the process of
figuring out how team members relate to one another (Understand Team Dynamics). Forming
positive relationships with the players and also, the parents to acquire trust and assure the players a
comfortable environment would help with understanding dynamics. Gaining positive attitudes from
everyone involved will show a growth in skill relationship between the teammates, also the positive
attitude will make practices, games, and constructive criticism easier to come by. Having patients
with the less skilled is something that every coach needs to have. Individual athletes look to
coaches for leadership and encouragement beyond the sports environment, and this also carries
over to athletic performance. According to Athletic Insight, the relationship between a coach and
a student athlete determines overall motivation and stress levels (Leadership and Individual
Performance). From personal experience, when I had gotten along with a coach, and they were
easy to talk to, the practices were more fun to go to, the games were easier and all the players
played as one unit. Getting constructive criticism was easy to take and I became very coachable.
The coach has more responsibilities than just holding a practice, game, having a plan to the game
or practice, but also bringing a friendly and easy environment to be involved in. Coaches can push
the psychological, emotional, and physical limits of their players to the point of harm, create

During the first half of the twentieth century, Islam spread in colonial West Africadue to increased

Child Soldiers How would you feel if your child was forcibly abducted from your home to be a

because children are getting taken away from their families and just getting pulled into the war
and have to kill or they get beaten or killed if they put the kids in the front line to get killed
before the high ranks. In the world there are approximately 300,000 child soldiers around the
world. About 40% of the child soldiers are in their countries rank in the military. 40% of them
are girls. This mainly happens in Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Sudan. This
happens because the military does not want their high ranked soldiers to die, so they put the
child soldiers in the front line to die before the high ranked soldiers die. Also if the children don t
kill in the battle they get beaten with batons and even get killed with guns, knives, or sticks. Then

knowledgeable, they d rather do it themselves and save money.
There are many ways you can learn how to fix car issues. You could find do it yourself (DIY)
articles where non professionals give the basic tips and even motivation. Car repairs can drain
your pocketbook fast, but you can do a wide range of repairs yourself, regardless of your technical
skill. We re not just talking oil changes; provided you can hold a wrench, you can fix everything
ranging from fuel filters to alternators (Klosowski). You could learn by working with a professional
mechanic, read it in a book that is revolved around the make and model of your car, or you can
watch a step by step video on You Tube. I would note that it is important to have a book on the year

25. Factors Of Favor Of The Argument Essay
Module 2 Assignment 2: Factors in Favor of and Against
Name: Kellie Runyon
Topic: Universal health care: Governmental provision of free health care for all citizens.
Part 1: Matrix
Strength of the Argument
(1 strongest,
6 weakest)
Reasons for
Reasons Against
1
Universal health care would be affordable for everyone
Millions of people would save money with universal healthcare due to everyone paying an equal
amount; whether it be through tax increase or some other form. However, it will amount to less
money than those who are paying for healthcare now due to the fact that every citizen pays for it
and not only the people who can afford the raising prices.
Tax Increases to cover the healthcare change.
2
Public health would improve with universal health care
All citizens will have unlimited access to the medical professionals. Many people that cannot afford
insurance will now have unlimited opportunities to get annual exams and help to prevent major
health issues from going unseen.
With an increase in the amount of people needing/wanting medical treatment, there will be a
shortage of medical staff. This will cause longer wait times, limited resources, as well as not having
enough doctors and specialists to meet the demand.
3
The cost of healthcare would be lower for the US when expenses are prioritized.
Other countries that provided universal health care spend half as much as the US does with the
amount of people who currently have health insurance. The US is

27. The Use Of Commas In Aristotle s Nichomachean Ethics
Throughout the book Nichomachean Ethics, Aristotle uses a lot of punctuations which appear to
attract the reader s attention and connects Aristotle s ideas and claims. One of the most important
punctuations that Aristotle uses is commas, which is seen in his concept of moral virtues adding
meaning to the language, clarity in expressions, and connecting the sentences. Commas are used to
separate clauses and parts of a sentence to make it clear and easier for the reader to understand.
Nichomachean Ethicsis known to be one of Aristotles most important books on ethics. It follows
Aristotle s definitions of different concepts like: Moral virtues, good wills, and justice. According
to Aristotle, a moral virtue is a concept that depends on our behaviors, actions, and determines our

Punctuations are important as the meaning of a sentence depends on the punctuation that is used
and as it helps bring the right type of expressions into writing. Without the use of different types of
punctuations; the writing would sound vague, incomplete, and difficult to understand. The use of
Commas is important as it adds a meaning to the language that Aristotle uses in his concept of
moral virtues. Aristotle states that, Excellence, then, being of these two kinds, intellectual and
moral, intellectual excellence owes its birth and growth mainly to instruction, and so requires time
and experience, while moral excellence is the result of habit or custom, and has accordingly in our
language received a name formed by a slight change from ethos (Aristotle, 34). In this quote, the
commas add a meaning to it as it separates the ideas and gives a pause between the sentences and
words.

falling into plagiarism, copying and pasting data without properly citing sources. Some students

Plagiarism has become a serious problem among high school and college students. A lot of this
could be that the attitudes and moral values of students have changed and a high percentage of
students do not worry about being caught. In a recent survey, it is reported that at least 28% of
students do not worry about the potential consequences of plagiarism ( Survey Reveals Unique
Insights to US Students Attitudes Towards Plagiarism ). Some students often claim they did not
know they were doing anything wrong, especially those who claimed to speak a language other
than English (Cross). Of course, with the endless amount of information available on the internet, a
student can easily educate themselves on the proper way to cite an essay. If a student does not
choose good morals and ethics when writing essays, the battle for plagiarism will continue. To
avoid further risk of detection, students will also use paid services that write essays. Even though
this method is hard to detect, a good teacher can notice changes in a student s writing style, which
will send a red flag (Cross). If students continue to lower their moral and ethical values, universities
will increase technology to detect plagiarism. Students should learn to write their own content and
develop their skills. Anti plagiarism software will help deter students from copying from others

Survival of organisms depends on adaptive behavior and species interactions. Taxis is less or
more automatic movement towards or away from a stimulus or direct movement. An example
of taxis is when a plant is put by a windowsill. The plant grows towards the light. Another
example is when stream fish automatically swim upward in the upstream direction. This example
is considered positive taxis. This type of taxis allows the fish to swim in the direction of food
and allows them to not be swept away. Kinesis is a simple change in activity or turning rate in
response to a stimulus or random movement in response to stimulus. An example of kinesis is
when sow bugs become more active in dry areas and less active in humid areas. Sow bugs does
vary depending on humidity, however sow bugs do not move toward or away from suitable
moisture levels. Both taxis and kinesis will guarantee that organisms will remain in environments
that increase their chances of survival. When organisms are put into critical conditions its activities
will decrease, although when an organism is put into positive conditions the organism will stay in
that condition for the longest time possible. This behavior will increase the survivorship of
individuals of a species. Migration is a regular long distance change in location. During migration

the guidelines of internet addiction, but not being excessive enough. (Yen, Ju Yu, et al). With the

A series of unexpected events led me to become an orthopaedic surgeon. In the fourth year of
medical school, I began to observe the orthopaedic surgeries. My supervisors were using their
dexterity to repair the fractures in the bone. After the operation and rehabilitation, patients would
be gaining their movement back. It was a process that took time and work, but the end result was
outstanding. I would care for patients who once came in pain, watching them leave with smiles on
their faces. I wanted to improve the quality of life of my patients as well.
Over my twenty five year career as an orthopaedic surgeon, I came across a myriad of patients.
My goal has always been to do my best to help each of my patients by educating them of the
situation, listening to their concerns, and using my knowledge and experience. There are always
new methods and experiences to learn and benefit from. When I was twenty seven, I realized that
in order to be more beneficial toward the community, I had to ... Show more content on

I spent great efforts and wrote letters to 50 hospitals in Denmark, and I got rejected from every
single one of them. But, I didn t give up, I kept writing. Finally, the 51st hospital I wrote to, hired
me. When I went to Torshavn Hospital in Faroe Islands, there were patients waiting to have surgery
for over a year. In two months, I cleared the waiting surgery list. In addition, I got a chance to
collaborate with various surgeons who I developed good contacts with. I adapted to the
community and participated in their unique cultural events. Working in different countries with
various other surgeons such as in the Danish Faroe Islands and Royal Free Hospital of London
has greatly enhanced my perspective. I incorporated my knowledge with the new methods I
acquired. My goal is to learn as much as possible and use my experience of twenty five years to

40. Florida Aquifer System
Next we will discuss the Florida Aquifer System. There are many factors that contribute to the
storage and movement of ground water, porosity and permeability are the two most important
elements to this equation (Lutgens, 2012.) Porosity is the volume of open space between rock or
sediment and permeability is the ability for a fluid to pass through (Lutgens, 2012.) Rock and
sediments that allow groundwaterto travel freely are called aquifers. These aquifers are natural
resources that exist underneath the earths surface to store water. In the case of Florida s aquifer
system the system is considered to be one of the most productive in the world (USGS, n.d.) In its
entirety, the aquifer system underlies an area of about 100,000 square miles
