Paparazzi Go Too Far
When the Paparazzi Go Too Far 1. Introduction Everyone who is interested in pop culture and the
entertainment industry knows who the paparazzi are. According to Merriam Webster s dictionary, the
term paparazzi is defined as a free lance photographer who aggressively pursues celebrities for the
purpose of taking candid photographs. The term actually came from a film from the 1960 s called La
Dolce Vita , directed by Federico Fellini. A character in the film was a news photographer named
Paparazzo. Paparazzi target celebrities and public figures that are in the spotlight. In recent years, the
paparazzi have taken their job of snapping photos to another extent. They will go to any length to get
the shot of a celebrity, even if ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Instead, the paparazzi chose to take pictures of the dying princess during her last few moments alive.
Princess Diana had two sons, Prince Harry and Prince William, that were ages 12 and 15 when She
died. It was said that the three paparazzi that were taking the photos were charged by French officials
but in 2002 the charges were dropped (13). Can you imagine how it felt for them not only to lose their
mother but to see the photos of their mother laying on a gurney, cut up and trying to cling on to life?
Meanwhile, those paparazzi and their publishers were making a pretty penny from the photographs.
There are other cases of celebrities who have fallen to victims of the paparazzi. Justin Bieber was
involved in an incident where he was driving on freeway 101 in Los Angeles California and 4 to 5
vehicles of paparazzi were following him. As Bieber tried to escape by speeding, the paparazzi stayed
right on his tail. This kind of activity went on for about 15 miles until an officer pulled Bieber over for
speeding. While the officer was proceeding with the citation, the paparazzi took pictures of all the
action. After the officer pulled away and Bieber continued his drive down freeway 101 the paparazzi
returned (2). Bieber had called 911 as he was trying to get away from them he told the dispatcher
about the situation saying, They re being very dangerous, swerving around other cars trying to get

Meta Analytic Connectivity Of Bilateral Thalamus
Discussion Meta analytic Connectivity of Bilateral Thalamus The aim of our study was to compare
and characterize the coactivations of LT and RT. By performing a conjunction analysis LTāˆ©RT we
found that each of our ROIs shared coactivations with cerebellar thalamic cortical circuit. Within the
cortex, convergence of LT and RT MACAMs occurred in right superior temporal, right and left
precentral, bilateral parietal and left supplementary motor area, which is involved in cognitive aspects
of performance (Kim et al., 1994; Mushiake and strick, 1995; Gao et al., 1996; for review, see
Middleton and Strick, 1997) such as working memory, planning, and rule based learning (Middleton

The direct projections of the mediodorsal nucleus of the thalamus to the insula and cingulate have
been demonstrated in non human primates (Augustine, 1996; Craig, 2008; Hatanaka et al., 2003;
Mufson and Mesulam, 1984; Vogt et al;, 1979). Taylor et al. in 2009 stated that thalamus is the most
likely canditate as direct projection to insula and cingulate. Cerebelum thalamus insula cingulate
regions seems to be part of the salience network and an executive control network conecting the
frontal cortex with parietal cortex (Seely et al.,2007 and Dosenbach et al., 2007). The salience
networks detects salient environmental changes independently of the modality of the task employed
(i.e., visual, auditory, tactile, pain) (Hutchison et al, 1999; Downar et al. 2000, 2002, 2003; Seely et al.
2007; Taylor et al. 2009). Previous research has also identificated anterior insula and dorsal anterior
cingulate cortex as a frontoparietal control network, that may indirectly contribute to episodic memory
recall such as goal directed selection for stimulus and responses and may mediate these functions by
integrating information from external and internal sources or across multiple domains such as
attention or working memory

A New Idea For Furniture Pieces By Comparing The Red And...
It was the 1917 a period after the World War I when the De Stijl art movement in Netherlands was
born. It was a period where in the art and in the design communities were changing and things starts to
get the forms of the machine like. It was also the period of the Cubism which was influencing al the
new designs. Thanks to being neutral during the World War I, Netherlands artist were able to focus on
art that didn t reflect the dark moments of the war. The Schroder House and its furniture are one of the
best and true example of the De Stijl Architecture. They were designed entirely by Gerrit Rietveld
between 1919 1924. He was the main exponent of the movement. This paper will present an analysis
on how Rietveld was able to create a new idea for furniture pieces using the principles of the De Stijl
movement by comparing the Red and Blue Chair, the Schroeder Table and the interior of the
Schroeder House with the aid of images, sketches and diagrams to better explain this comparison. I
would like to start first with a little description of the De Stijl art movement. De Stijl is translated in
Dutch and it means The Style . It arose in the twentieth century and it contributed to the history of the
Modernism. Like said before it was the period of the Cubism which influenced the art and design
communities a lot, so De Stijl was influenced by the principles of the Cubism as well. De Stijl wasn t
like the other movement from the past of from the same period, because it wasn t a

Compare Dover Beach And Fahrenheit 451
Introduction
At first glance, Ray Bradbury s novel Fahrenheit 451 and Matthew Arnold s poem Dover Beach may
not have anything in common however the inclusion of Dover Beach in Fahrenheit 451 begs to differ.
Both were written during a period of change. Arnold wrote Dover Beach during the Industrial
Revolution and Bradbury wrote Fahrenheit 451 shortly after World War 2. Although Dover Beach was
written a century earlier, they both consider the problems within society; the effects of an ever
changing world. The essay will attempt to consider In what ways does Matthew Arnold s Dover Beach
relate to Ray Bradbury s Fahrenheit 451 in terms of criticism of society?
Through the introduction of television, Bradbury had feared society would lead to ... Show more

Dover Beach explains sadness through the use of metaphors, glimmering and vast, out in the tranquil
bay...sweet is the night air... you hear the grating roar of pebbles draw back and fling. There is a
contrast between pleasures and displeasures such as the comparison of tranquil and grating roar . The
contrast shows that at first glance it may seem as if there is a pleasant atmosphere however, observing
the situation there is shown to be great distress. There is only a faƧade of happiness. In Fahrenheit 451
Montag begins to realise his unhappiness as he wore his happiness like a mask and he tells himself
happiness is important. Fun is everything. And yet I kept sitting there saying to myself, I m not happy,
I m not happy. The use of the word mask signifies the illusion of reality as people are falsifying their
true emotions and are doing so to fit into their perception of reality. There is an eternal conflict
between what the mind perceives and what really is. Both Dover Beach and Fahrenheit 451 expose
what reality is; it is not happiness it is sadness covered in lies. Society acts as if it were perfect where

To His Coy Mistress Poem Analysis
To His Coy Mistress has a particularly strong theme of Time. One of the main ideas involved is that
you must to savour what you have in the moment because everything expires and dies eventually. It is
also a very physical poem, focusing on visual attraction rather than pure love. It is also a sexual poem,
trying to pressurize a partner into sex. To His Coy Mistress has a particularly strong theme of Time.
One of the main ideas involved is that you ought to savour what you have in the moment because

women are treated in 1930 s America. Moreover, Steinbeck s technique of not giving Curley s wife a

Taking a Look at Mental Illnesses
Mental illnesses are a serious matter that affect a person as much as someone with a physical illness.
Mental illnesses are medical conditions that affect a person s mental health. They are as serious as
other disorders such as diabetes and should be treated as so. The amount of talk by those who aren t
well informed and often assume has created many misconceptions about mental illnesses. In order to
successfully make those around people with mental illnesses to be aware of the harm these disorders
cause a person these misconceptions need to be cleared. Mental illnesses need to be treated like the
threat they indeed are like real illnesses.
Mental illnesses are conditions in which a person s mental health is affected to a point that they aren t
able to cope with life s expectations. An example is a common known disorder known as depression,
when someone experiences depression they may feel like they no longer want to thrive and be happy
in their life. This happens due to the amount of brain activity the disorder causes to diminish.
According to www.nimh.nih.gov when a person has depression he or she may expirience being very
tired, a loss of interest in activites once enjoyed, and thoughts or attemp of suicide. Depression is
caused by a couple of factors are genes and brain chemistry which is irregular to normal people. Stress
is a major factor that affects those with the mental illness because they are not able to cope with it like
the majority of people. The fact is

Realism Within Alfred Hitchcock s Psycho
Realism within Alfred Hitchcock s movie Psycho (1960) is in the form of his camera technique. In this
film, Hitchcock used the camera as the diegesis. He manipulates the camera to draw the attention of
the audience. When the credits suddenly appear on the screen using editing transiting lines across. He
uses a sharp musical score throughout the credits to give the audience the sense of horror and
suspense. The symbolism with in the credits is the dark being the dominant color and creates a visual
of silent film era movies. At the beginning of the movie the camera pans from the city skyline to the
window then a low shot of the bed where Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) and her lover Sam Loomis
(John Gavin) are having an affair just like a bird. When Marion returns home from her job. The
camera takes on human qualities as it roams around the room looking questionably at the money
envelope. Hitchcock uses a close up shot of the money along with suspenseful music to show the
audience that Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) is going to steal the money.
Psycho has goes back to the characteristics of the silent film and film noir movies. It conveys a lot of
the dialogue mainly though close up shots of the characters faces. This is to show the emotions more
precise for the audience. Majority of movies were starting to rely on actors talking in order to tell the
story instead of visual representation. Alfred Hitchcock uses a lot of symbolism in this film. He used
birds as a major theme in the

Abortion Report
Abortion Report
I have chosen for my topic Abortion. I think that it is a topic that is very important in today s society
however it is often dodged or avoided.
Different Presidents say different things and have different stances about it, and often it is had to know
what to think about it. Basically there are two different ways of looking at it: Pro Choice, which takes
the stance of saying that it is the woman s choice if she wants to have an abortion and that it is only
her business. So basically they want it to remain legal. Then there is the other stance of Pro Life which
says that it should not remain legal and that it is just about as bad as cold blooded murder. I happen to
agree with this.
This is what I will be focusing on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of them include:
Suction Abortion Dilation and Curettage (D C) Dilation and Evacuation (D E)
Salt Poisoning (Saline Injection) Hysterotomy Prostaglandin Abortion
There are also many risks and complications caused by having an abortion.
Some of the more widely known one s are:
1. Breast Cancer
2. Complications in future pregnancies, including excessive bleeding, premature delivery, cervical
damage, and sterility.
3. Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).
4. Uterine perforations.
5. Tubal pregnancy.
6. Placenta previa, which is extremely severe, life threatening bleeding in future pregnancies.
7. Retention of placenta
As you can see there are many different factors that contribute to abortion, and many different risks
that you take in having one. I think that abortion will remain a huge topic that s not going to go away
easily. I believe that they should be illegal however through doing this report I have been shown the
other side of the story, the Pro Choice side, and I have began to see there standpoint even though I

Fear In Dragonwings
It s 5:15 AM, and the streets are quiet. By 5:30, the streets are torn apart, and rubble is strewn
everywhere. What happened in those fifteen minutes was the San Fransisco earthquake. When you
look at Comprehending the Calamity by Emma Burke and Laurence Yep s Dragonwings, you can truly
imagine the extent of the damage and fear, even though Burke s purpose is to inform, while Yep s is to
entertain.
Emma Burke s point of view of the earthquake in Comprehending the Calamity was that it was
violent, and hard to understand. She states that No one can comprehend the calamity to San Francisco
in its entirety... (Burke, 1). This explains to us that the damage caused by the earthquake must have
been devastating.. She also describes the extreme force of the earthquake, saying The shock came, and
hurled my bed against an opposite wall... It grew constantly worse, the noise deafening; the crash of
dishes... the groaning and straining of the building itself (1). By describing the enormous event in
detail, we can get a sense of just how bad every building was shaking and crumbling.
Moon Shadow s point of view of the earthquake in Dragonwings by Laurence Yep was that at first he
was scared, but then he decides it isn t so bad; they re all alive and together. ... Show more content on

Emma s purpose is to inform readers about the earthquake. We have to infer some of her point of view.
It isn t always stated directly, because she is trying to give details about what was happening rather
than reveal too much about how she felt about it. Laurence Yep, however, has the purpose of engaging
the reader in a whole different world. Yep uses details that cause us to infer his point of view and he
uses actions to show us his point of view. Moon Shadow s point of view appeals to our emotions by
focusing on the people in the aftermath of the earthquake and how he felt about what he

Maturation In Huck Finn

Moral Maturation
Famous author, Mark Twain wrote a book called Huck Finn. This book is discussing the adventures of
a young boy (Huck Finn) and a runaway slave during 19th century. Throughout the story the audience
can begin to see the moral maturation of Huck Finn. From not having any one too really to trust to him
maturing to the point of actually seeing what was right and wrong. During 19th century society seem
that citified was the right choice. Huck Finn has trouble trying to follow this unwritten law. The
Widow Douglas, she took me for her son, and allowed she would civilize me, but it was rough living
in the house all the time, considering how dismal regular and decent the widow was in all her way;
and so when I should stand it no longer, I lit out. (Twain pg.2). In this statement we begin to see that
Huck Finn has a hard time trying to fit in to society. Following the widows religious ways, or try and
act all proper. In this case Huck Finn has trouble trying to fit into society. Mark Twain wanted the
audience to realize that sometimes fitting into to society doesn t necessarily make it a good choice. ...

Influence
1. Our Level of Influence is not Static Maxwell and Dornan commence by addressing several fallacies
related to becoming a person of influence. One myth the author attempts to dispel is that past
performance always determines future success. They assert that an individual s level of influence is
not static (1997, Introduction, sec. Positive Influencers Add Value , para. 2). One need not assume
their impact with others in the past dictates their influence with them tomorrow. Paul describes a
similar sentiment in Romans 12, God assures Paul that, human weaknesses or failures are never a
limitation upon God s ability (verse 9). Furthermore, these limitations that may otherwise disqualify

There is a modern parable about character where an administrative assistant refuses to lie on behalf of
her boss. In response to the boss reprimand, she reminds him that, while she will never lie for him, he
can rest assured that she will, also, never lie to him. Early in ministry, I was asked to take
responsibility for registration at a large conference for Chi Alpha. Everything was great, until one
year, I discovered a discrepancy of over a thousand dollars. After checking and rechecking my
numbers, I apologetically reported the problem to my superior. While everything was clarified the next
day, it was the willingness to be responsible even before anyone knew there was a problem that has
secured access to opportunities that would have remained unattainable despite all the technical
aptitude I could demonstrate. 3. Enlarging People Chapter 6 addresses the concept of enlarging others
with a powerful personal testimony of a former president of Lockheed Aircraft Corporation. He asserts
that, if companies would concentrate on facilitating the development of their human resource, they
need not concern themselves with the quality or efficiency of their product (Maxwell Dornan, 1997,

A Study Into Their Feeding Preferences
The importance of bees to our agriculture merits a study into their feeding preferences. Bees pollinate
a large proportion of crops and without them there would be a rapid decline in crop production. The
connection between bee feeding preferences and flower pigmentation is examined using Viola
cornuta. Three color variations were used including dark violet, light violet, and white flowers. Each
variation was observed for ten minutes in one minute intervals and this was repeated in ten different
trials starting at 1:00PM at Tallahassee Nursery. The trend resulting from the data showed strongest
preference for the most pigmented dark violet flowers and weakest preference for the least pigmented
white flowers. There are many factors to take ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the spectral range chart for bees a large portion of their visual range is shades of blue and purple
(Riddle, 2016).
The aim of this study is to observe how color affects the feeding preferences of bees in the wild. The
spectral range of the bee suggests that bees will prefer violet colored flowers and more specifically
highly pigmented violet flowers. Due to this it is suspected that bees will prefer to feed on dark purple
colored Violas cornuta over the light purple and white varieties of Viola cornuta. It could also occur
that bees will feed equally across dark purple, light purple, and white Viola cornuta color groups.
Methods Three pigment levels of Violas cornuta including dark violet, light violet, and white flower
variations were used. In an outdoor nursery setting the plants were studied in five by five rows of
plants and the plots were located next to each other. A total of thirty minutes was spent observing the
plants at the set time of 1:00PM. Each pigment variation was observed for ten minutes in one minute
intervals. The number of bees that land and feed on the particular variant being observed was
recorded. The mean number of bees on each pigment variation after ten observation periods was
calculated. A one tail ANOVA and a post hoc Tukey test was used to analyze the data.
Results The total number of bees present on a color variation (dark violet, light violet, and white)
observed across ten trials is shown in Figure 1. The

Juvenile Justice Systems
Introduction Juvenile crime is a term around the world that is difficult to pinpoint and although there
are several definitions many fail to be concrete. There are many factors that play into sentencing
juveniles or minors upon a crime committed. How old are they? Can they mentally form criminal
intent? Are they old enough to no longer be treated as children? Some people would argue that a
criminal is just that, regardless of age. Research on the other hand shows that juveniles have
underdeveloped brains who at times have difficulty rationalizing decisions and weighing out
consequences. It is important that these issues are addressed because of the implications this has on
not only the juveniles but the community around them. These ... Show more content on

A study showed that the frontal lobe the largest part of the brain that controls the brains most
advanced functions is the last part of the brain to develop. So even though they are perfectly able in
other parts of the brain their lack of a developed frontal lobe can distort a juveniles decisions.
(American Bar Association, 2003) This makes it difficult for juveniles to measure consequences
beyond their actions in the moment. In a film about incarcerated Juveniles 14 year old Colt was
convicted of killing his stepfather. He tells his story and what he was thinking before committing the
act, I didn t think I would go to prison, I thought the worse they could give me was probation or boys
camp, I didn t realize that after the fact that every decision I make has consequences. (Kent, 2011)
Research in adolescent brains has shown us that they use their amygdala to make decisions. Amygdala
is responsible for fear and anxiety making juveniles reliance on it quite dangerous. In male adolescent
in particular we see an increase in testosterone which increases aggression and in females the increase
of hormones causes depression anxiety causing irrational choices. (American Bar Association, 2003)
Often the underlying issue behind juvenile delinquency is due to factors that they juvenile cannot
control. Growing up in situations where there was substance abuse, being the victim of physical or
sexual assault can trigger

extremely detrimental health risks for any and all individuals who consider themselves non smokers,
especially young children and pregnant women. SHS is estimated to contribute to heart attacks in
nonsmokers and causes nearly 53,800 deaths in the United States alone on an annual basis.1

Projections, Forecasts, And Estimates Essay
2.4 Projections, Forecasts, or Estimates The definition of projections, forecasts, and estimates are all
different and should not be used without knowing the exact meanings which are: Projection: the
familiar word for statements that are taken from mathematics and are based on inferences decided in
advance. Forcast: the statement that has the highest probability to happen in the future. Estimate: is
about specific statistics from the past or present statistics. o Estimates fill in the years between two
different census. 3.1.1 Typolography of projection Methods Subective projections are assumptions,
and they stay away from elaborate orderly and procedural methods. They can only show impressions
of predispositions of the later to come population. Objective projections take the quantitative way of
gathering data and use a quatitative strategy to attain a projected outcome. Objection projections
dependo n the selection of the right projection technique. The major projection methods are: structual
method, cohort component, and the trend extrapolation method. 3.4 Trend Extrapolation Methods
Extending the application of past trends into the time beyond the observation range is the essence of
all the extrapolation methods. The extrapolation method is best used for modest sized population
projections that have low data needs , inexpensive, and able to be used effortlessly. Sometimes data,
such as population trends is easier to see and understand in graphical form. A simple

Homelessness In America
A growing problem in America is homeless families. Most families that are homeless have at least one
or two children. Being homeless as a child can have severe effects on that child s education and
development. Homeless children may have trouble focusing in class not only because they were not
able to do the homework, but also because they may not have had enough to eat or a decent place to
sleep, and they may be emotionally overwhelmed by the upheavals in their personal lives ( Over One
Million U.S. Kids are Homeless ). Many things can contribute to homelessness, for instance; poverty,
lack of affordable housing, job loss, economic insecurity, etc. America needs to stabilize shelters,
move homeless people into permanent housing, execute assistance programs to help people maintain
their housing, and expand local government support for the development of affordable housing units.
Homeless shelters do already exist in America, but most are filthy and are invaded with bedbugs and
body lice. Most large homeless shelters do not have proper ventilation, causing it to get extremely hot
during the summer. Even though families do stay in these shelters, it is unsafe and gross. Homeless
shelters in America are mostly funded from donations, meaning that homeless shelters do not have
very large funds. Therefore, homeless shelters should be funded by the government. With the proper
funding, shelters could be properly built and be able to maintain cleanliness. If homeless shelters

People now know the causes of their diseases, the likelihood that their child could get a trait based on

discoveries of medical history was the vaccination and eventual eradication of smallpox, thanks to
Edward Jenner. When he noticed that milkmaids exposed to cowpox were immune to smallpox, he
used the pus from a cowpox lesions and inoculated a young boy. The boy soon was sick from cowpox
but recovered quickly. When he was then inoculated with smallpox matter, he never became ill. This
proved that there was a way to save people from the deadly disease of smallpox. This led to a better
understanding of immunology. Other vaccines such as polio, MMR, and influenza wouldn t have been
created as quickly, if at all without Jenner. It is suspected that his interest and curiosity for curing
smallpox was when he was 13 years old as an apprentice to a surgeon; he heard a milkmaid say, I shall

was already suspected there was a connection between the two, it wasn t determined until Edward

The Society Of The United States
Some social behaviors are so ingrained in people s day to day lives that they would never notice them
unless they were pointed out. One such behavior that is so often overlooked is the preferential
treatment that certain groups receive over others. The privileges of the dominate social groups over the
subordinate ones go so unnoticed at times that they are even seen as just innately how things should
be. In the contemporary society of the United States, the group with these privileges is often White
males, and the majority of them would disagree about that statement. Surprisingly, the group that gets
the most treatment feels the most abused. This only highlights the obliviousness accompanying those
to which this invisible power belongs. However, each person, at one point, has been advantaged over
another without realizing it.
I have experienced many freedoms throughout my life that others around me have not. For instance, as
a young, White female, I can walk up to almost any stranger of any age without them being suspicious
or afraid of me. A Black man isn t able to say that. This difference has nothing to do with who I am as
a person, but rather how society perceives I will behave based on how I look. I have walked through
department stores with a bag and my hands in my pockets, and I have never been searched or
suspected of stealing once. No one has ever crossed to the other side of the street because I was in
their path, or locked their doors as I walked past their car.

Iranian Nuclear War Pros And Cons
November 4, 1979: a date to live forever. In Tehran, the capital of Iran, a demonstration turned hostile
when a group of students storm over the walls of the U.S. Embassy and take 90 people, hostage,
including 66 Americans. This was the beginning of the Iranian revolution, creating an Islamic
Republic under the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
Now, the Obama Administration plans to give these same people (under that same family) nuclear
power to possibly make weapons. The Iran US nuclear deal should be stopped, for it will only cause
the destruction of the state of Israel, and possibly America with a deal within the hands of an anti
American dictatorship and anti American people.
Firstly, Iran does not have a very good history ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Iran s continued illicit nuclear activities (U.S. State Department) These economic sanctions were
placed to hinder the attempt of Iran to build a nuclear bomb and now we are throwing away those
sanctions that were in place to protect us.
Again, others say that Iran has agreed to stop enriching as much uranium to possibly create nuclear
weapons of mass destruction. In contrast, Iran will have a thirty day notice before any inspection of
their equipment or facilities. Thirty days is ample time to hide any illegal enriching and stockpiles of
uranium for nuclear weapons.
CNN has quoted Ali Khamenei saying: I d say [to Israel] that they will not see (the end) of these 25
years, Israel is a key ally in the Middle East, and one that we say we will support. If we hand over
weapons of our allies destruction, we are not their allies. We will be indirectly helping Iran destroy
Israel.
In conclusion, Iran with its dictator and people will build a nuclear weapon, and they will use the
weapon against Israel and the U.S. resulting in a world war. So many people will die in nuclear strikes
from many countries. That is the number one thing that no one wants. Loss of human life. This deal

National And State Assembly Elections In Nepal
We have seen nothing like this in Nepal in the past. I am talking about the upcoming national and state
assembly elections. These elections might make or break democracy.
The make part is easy to figure out. The elections will officially end the long political transition,
convert the country de facto from a unitary state to federal, and mark the endorsement of the
Constitution 2015 by the Madheshi parties.
The Madheshi parties had refused to endorse the new constitution until their demands were met. They
had asked for one state, and not more than two states, covering all 22 districts in the plains, but the
major did not agree. So only 8 districts have been included in the Madheshi only State 2 (the states are
yet to be named). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At stake are 275 seats in the federal parliament, 165 to be elected by the first past the post method and
the rest from proportional representation. The number of State Assembly members will be twice as
many in the same ratio. Which alliance enjoys the better prospects?
In the 2013 general elections and recent local elections, the left parties were able to win nearly 60
percent seats up for the contest. If that ratio holds, the left alliance will likely be a clear winner in the
upcoming national and state elections. However, the rebel candidates against the alliance candidates
on both sides might not let the outcome to so straightforward.
Whatever the outcome, the emergence of the left and the non left alliance is a good step in the right
direction. If these alliances outlast the elections, it could be the beginning of a two party state, like in
the United States and the United Kingdom, which will contribute to political stability and offer a clear
choice for voters.
But if the two alliances fail to become competitive, the break part will likely ensue, harming
democracy and the country. Democratic elections make government representative and check it if it
does not deliver or misbehaves. But they also create autocratic leaders on both left and right.
For example, Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini were members of socialist

By taking a look at the user reviews, it is obvious that Hurom has found a place in hear of customers.
One positive review stated by a customer shows how easy it is to clean this device. While other
branded juicers require some skill and effort to dis assemble and clean, Hurom can be assembled and
disassembled effortlessly. No diagrams or manuals are required to do this. Another positive review
proved the blade effectiveness. To break Almonds without soaking it overnight is tedious. But Hurom
does this effectively for morning milk with its effective blades. The fineness of crushed almond
portrays the outstanding quality of Horum slow juicers. Above all, the lowest noise levels are a strong
point. Compared to other available juicers, Horum HU 100 makes very less noise while juicing. Even
with wheat grass, Horum does an efficient job which customers cannot expect on juicers from top
most or reputed brands.
Some of the common complaints on Horum are blade jamming. This is a situational defect. If the
customer tries to push the consumables too hard before it is crushed, then the blade would be jammed.
If the eatables are very hard, then users might need to cut it down to smaller pieces to make the blade
to rotate freely. However, this is not a fault with Horum juicer. Occasional breaks can happen, which
can be tackled by filing warranty claims. Breaks are very rare and do not tend to happen frequently.

Another core element in the liberal vision in economic interdependence, as shown by Scott Burchill:
with the existence of free markets and the possibility of free trade and its potential to create national
wealth, states would expand their range of contacts and levels of understanding, encouraging
international friendship and breaking down the divisions between states, uniting them ā‚‰. Meaning that
trade creates mutual dependence between states which fosters understanding and finally reduces
conflict.
The Democratic peace thesis, whose basic concepts were studied by Kant in the 1700s, is the theory
that suggests that democracies have been pacific in their relations with one other and are unlikely to
go to war with another democracy. Democracies rarely fight each other (an empirical statement)
because (b) they have other means of resolving conflicts between them and therefore do not need to
fight each other (a prudential statement),and (c) they perceive that democracies should not fight each
other (a normative statement about principles of right behavior), which reinforces the empirical
stateĀ¬ment. By this reasoning the more democracies there are in the world, the fewer potential
adversaries we and other democracies will have and the wider the zone of peace. russet

The Importance of Biological Factors in the Development of Gender Identity
The biosocial theory suggests that gender identity develops as a result of the obvious biological
differences between boys and girls and the hormonal differences between the sexes which can be
observed in the foetus from about six weeks (Durkin, 1995). Supporting evidence has been found
through animal studies, such as that by Young, Goy and Phoenix (1964) who gave testosterone to
pregnant monkeys and found that any female offspring were prone to be unusually aggressive.
Evidence is also found in case studies of humans. Imperato McGinley et al. (1974) studied a family in
the Dominican Republic in which four children were born ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This demonstrates the part played by both hormonal and psychological factors, working against
genetic factors , in the development of gender identity.
The sociobiological theory argues that males and females look and behave differently because they are
driven to behave in ways that maximise their chances to reproduce and pass on their genes. As females
produce a limited supply of eggs at some physical cost they must ensure that each reproduction is as
successful as possible by selecting a mate with good genes who can provide for them and their
offspring. In contrast, males produce large amounts of sperm at almost no physical cost and therefore
maximise their chances of passing on their genes through promiscuity. The sexy sons hypothesis
argues that females select males who posses characteristics which they would like their sons to inherit,
in order that the sons are selected as mates by other females, continuing the genetic line. The
handicapping theory suggests that females seek males with robust genes, demonstrated by the males
ability to sustain characteristics that incur a physiological cost, such as a peacock s elaborate tail.
Research evidence in support of the sociobiological theory includes Davis (1990) findings that men
advertising for a mate emphasise their wealth and other resources and women focus on their own
physical attractiveness. Cross cultural studies,

How Couples Can Improve Relationship Satisfaction For The...
Introduction Couples therapy has shown to significantly improve relationship satisfaction for the aver
couple (Doss Others, 2014). What distinguishes a healthy well functioning couple from a
dysfunctional couple? A healthy well functioning couple consists of two people who not only love
each other, but also hold a high level of respect and acceptance for one another. Communication is
also a key component in well functioning couples. The root of most problems within couples is a lack
of honest communication. In healthy relationships, there is always room for growth, both as a couple

individuals to love and respect themselves and not commit to a relationship because of the lack of
these qualities. In contrast, a pathological dysfunctional couple as two people who lack respect, open
communication, and are disloyal to each other. In dysfunctional relationships, couples are typically
inconsistent in sharing their wants and needs. One reasoning for this may be that they are not honest
with themselves therefore lack knowledge of what they want or need from the relationship.
Dysfunctional relationships may consist of one or both individuals being too dependent on each other,

However, the primary driving force behind the creative minds in music in the United States has

As this movement continued to gain momentum, pop music icons the Beatles began to use LSD as a
way to help their artwork gain some depth. Their later studio albums reflected this, with the use of
experimental sounds and instruments, such as the sitar or the synthesizer. These later tracks illustrate
how popular music can shift in response to the increase in a specific drug use directly, in that a
popular music band actually did change in musical style after experimenting with the drug. When the
mass media became aware of how large of a movement psychedelic rock is, it became popular in pop
music as well as in the subculture that actually used the drugs. The psychedelic movement is now
recognized as one of the most important movements in American popular music history. Another era
in popular music that illustrates the tie that draws drugs and pop music together is in the modern day

path to the riverbank, where they met up with Rosalind. For their travel they utilized two great horses
owned by Rosalind s father to go on their journey for safety. David, Petra and Rosalind travelled in a
southwesterly direction until they came to a stop in the early morning. The three started their journey
again in the late of the evening through the night in the same direction till they came to a stop in
Labrador, where Petra was sending letter shapes to the Sealand woman of their current location. They
continued on their journey until the break of dawn and then rested. Just after sunrise Michael informed
them that he and the search party were on their trail and they needed to get going. David, Petra and
Rosalind hustled their things together and made their way, continuing in a southwesterly direction into
Wild Country. They made another stop in Wild Country to eat. When it was a little darker they pushed
on towards the Fringes, until they were captured by the Fringes people and taken even further into the
Fringes. Eventually, the Sealand woman rescued David, Petra and Rosalind and they travelled to
Zealand via a flying craft that she had came in during the evening.

TACT, Theological and Cultural Thinkers, is a group of men and women from diverse ethnic and
cultural backgrounds, who meet about culture, church, and corporate and individual spiritual
formation. TACT is comprised of theologians, cultural thinkers, and spiritual formation practitioners.
The goal and purpose of the group is to help develop spiritual formation churches that equip its
members to become disciples of Jesus through developing personal spiritual growth, participating in
communities of faith, and participating in sharing the Gospel and building the Kingdom of God.
2. This question was asked to TACT members: What do you think is involved in being formed in
Christ? How do you answer that question?

Describe what a healthy atmosphere in a church should be like.
A healthy atmosphere in a church should be one of safety, freedom, non judgment, peace, joy and
trust. Church should feel like walking into your home and feeling free to be yourself and freely able to
come and worship God.
4. What is the problem with sin management theology ?
Sin management theology leads us to believe that we must earn God s love and grace through our
works and actions, which contradicts the whole purpose of Jesus coming to the earth. Those living
under the law showed that man could never earn God s love and grace through works because of man
s fallen nature. Therefore, it causes humanity to live in a broken state that results in hiding and
disregards the righteousness given to us by God.
5. Define the true meaning of biblical humility
Biblical humility is humanity way of accessing God s community of grace. True humility is an
interdependent relationship of trusting God and others with yourself.
9. Grace is the face love wears when it meets imperfection. How does this wise statement relate to
your own life and

Analysis Of Magnificent Seven
For the Final Project this project will be focus on the movie The Magnificent Seven. This movie is a
compelling movie that show a group of bound hunters caring more about the job more than the money.
Some of the characters in the movie went through internet conflict that led them to change throughout
the movie. In Magnificent Seven we can see many example of binary opposition and position
throughout the plot of the movie. The villain Bogue want to seize control of the town of Rose Creek to
dig for gold in the mines. Emma Cullen and some of the townsfolks turn to bound hunters to protect
them from the tyranny of Bugue and his gang. The movie director of Magnificent Seven use political
agendas in the plot and through the characters because he wants to reveal how the indulgence of
money can cause people to be corrupt and to others people money can be less important than life. By
trying to reveal this truth the director used the Marxist Literary Theory and the Postcolonial Theory to
hope change society outlook on money. In Magnificent Seven some of the character is empowered and
disempowered to the plot social orders. The bound hunter s political orders made them empowered
because protecting the people of Rose Creek was more important to them at the end. The job became
more valuable than the money. Some of the bound hunter s risk and sacrifice their life s to protect the
people of Rose Creek town from the epic battle at the end. The main bound hunter Sam Chisolm can
be describe as a round and dynamic character. When Sam Chisolm recruit the gang of bound hunters
they were about the reward money for protecting the townsfolks. At the end of the movie their point of
view changes a lot. Bogus can be describe as a static and flat character. Bogue is the main protagonist
in the movie. Bogue doesn t change in the movie because his main intention is to take control over the
town, so he can get richer. These character trails for Bogue disempowered him in the movie plot.
When Bogue was killed in the church the toward the end is symbol, which mean House of Judgement
for all his sins. Bogue burn down the church to lower the townsfolk morally in the beginning of the
movie.
Looking at the Postcolonial Theory in Magnificent

Eagle Scout Accomplishments
I am most proud of achieving my Eagle Scout rank at age 16. My journey to Eagle has been one of
hard work and dedication. Besides serving the community with over 300 hours of building and
refurbishing projects , I have assumed positions of leadership early on, often recommended by adult
leaders, as I was described to be mature for my age and very responsible. Over the course of 6 years I
was the assistant Den Chief leading younger Scouts, Assistant Patrol Leader and Patrol Leader leading
my peers, Quartermaster responsible for the management of all troop equipment, Chaplain Aid,
Instructor teaching the Aviation Merit Badge and ultimately I was recommended by my troop adult
leaders and asked by my Scoutmaster to assume the position of Senior Patrol Leader leading the entire
troop of over 100 boys during my Junior Year in High School. The job took having a lot of initiative
and excellent time management skills on my part to organize and coordinate many activities, meetings

  • 2. Paparazzi Go Too Far When the Paparazzi Go Too Far 1. Introduction Everyone who is interested in pop culture and the entertainment industry knows who the paparazzi are. According to Merriam Webster s dictionary, the term paparazzi is defined as a free lance photographer who aggressively pursues celebrities for the purpose of taking candid photographs. The term actually came from a film from the 1960 s called La Dolce Vita , directed by Federico Fellini. A character in the film was a news photographer named Paparazzo. Paparazzi target celebrities and public figures that are in the spotlight. In recent years, the paparazzi have taken their job of snapping photos to another extent. They will go to any length to get the shot of a celebrity, even if ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Instead, the paparazzi chose to take pictures of the dying princess during her last few moments alive. Princess Diana had two sons, Prince Harry and Prince William, that were ages 12 and 15 when She died. It was said that the three paparazzi that were taking the photos were charged by French officials but in 2002 the charges were dropped (13). Can you imagine how it felt for them not only to lose their mother but to see the photos of their mother laying on a gurney, cut up and trying to cling on to life? Meanwhile, those paparazzi and their publishers were making a pretty penny from the photographs. There are other cases of celebrities who have fallen to victims of the paparazzi. Justin Bieber was involved in an incident where he was driving on freeway 101 in Los Angeles California and 4 to 5 vehicles of paparazzi were following him. As Bieber tried to escape by speeding, the paparazzi stayed right on his tail. This kind of activity went on for about 15 miles until an officer pulled Bieber over for speeding. While the officer was proceeding with the citation, the paparazzi took pictures of all the action. After the officer pulled away and Bieber continued his drive down freeway 101 the paparazzi returned (2). Bieber had called 911 as he was trying to get away from them he told the dispatcher about the situation saying, They re being very dangerous, swerving around other cars trying to get ... Meta Analytic Connectivity Of Bilateral Thalamus Discussion Meta analytic Connectivity of Bilateral Thalamus The aim of our study was to compare and characterize the coactivations of LT and RT. By performing a conjunction analysis LTāˆ©RT we found that each of our ROIs shared coactivations with cerebellar thalamic cortical circuit. Within the cortex, convergence of LT and RT MACAMs occurred in right superior temporal, right and left precentral, bilateral parietal and left supplementary motor area, which is involved in cognitive aspects of performance (Kim et al., 1994; Mushiake and strick, 1995; Gao et al., 1996; for review, see Middleton and Strick, 1997) such as working memory, planning, and rule based learning (Middleton and Strick, 2001). Taylor et al. in 2009 stated that thalamus is the most likely canditate as direct projection to insula and cingulate. Cerebelum thalamus insula cingulate regions seems to be part of the salience network and an executive control network conecting the frontal cortex with parietal cortex (Seely et al.,2007 and Dosenbach et al., 2007). The salience networks detects salient environmental changes independently of the modality of the task employed (i.e., visual, auditory, tactile, pain) (Hutchison et al, 1999; Downar et al. 2000, 2002, 2003; Seely et al. 2007; Taylor et al. 2009). Previous research has also identificated anterior insula and dorsal anterior cingulate cortex as a frontoparietal control network, that may indirectly contribute to episodic memory recall such as goal directed selection for stimulus and responses and may mediate these functions by integrating information from external and internal sources or across multiple domains such as attention or working memory ... • 4. A New Idea For Furniture Pieces By Comparing The Red And... It was the 1917 a period after the World War I when the De Stijl art movement in Netherlands was born. It was a period where in the art and in the design communities were changing and things starts to get the forms of the machine like. It was also the period of the Cubism which was influencing al the new designs. Thanks to being neutral during the World War I, Netherlands artist were able to focus on art that didn t reflect the dark moments of the war. The Schroder House and its furniture are one of the best and true example of the De Stijl Architecture. They were designed entirely by Gerrit Rietveld between 1919 1924. He was the main exponent of the movement. This paper will present an analysis on how Rietveld was able to create a new idea for furniture pieces using the principles of the De Stijl movement by comparing the Red and Blue Chair, the Schroeder Table and the interior of the Schroeder House with the aid of images, sketches and diagrams to better explain this comparison. I would like to start first with a little description of the De Stijl art movement. De Stijl is translated in Dutch and it means The Style . It arose in the twentieth century and it contributed to the history of the Modernism. Like said before it was the period of the Cubism which influenced the art and design communities a lot, so De Stijl was influenced by the principles of the Cubism as well. This book is discussing the adventures of a young boy (Huck Finn) and a runaway slave during 19th century. Throughout the story the audience can begin to see the moral maturation of Huck Finn. The aim of this study is to observe how color affects the feeding preferences of bees in the wild. The spectral range of the bee suggests that bees will prefer violet colored flowers and more specifically highly pigmented violet flowers. Due to this it is suspected that bees will prefer to feed on dark purple colored Violas cornuta over the light purple and white varieties of Viola cornuta. It could also occur that bees will feed equally across dark purple, light purple, and white Viola cornuta color groups. Methods Three pigment levels of Violas cornuta including dark violet, light violet, and white flower variations were used. In an outdoor nursery setting the plants were studied in five by five rows of plants and the plots were located next to each other. A total of thirty minutes was spent observing the plants at the set time of 1:00PM. Each pigment variation was observed for ten minutes in one minute intervals. The number of bees that land and feed on the particular variant being observed was recorded. The mean number of bees on each pigment variation after ten observation periods was calculated. Being homeless as a child can have severe effects on that child s education and development. Homeless children may have trouble focusing in class not only because they were not able to do the homework, but also because they may not have had enough to eat or a decent place to sleep, and they may be emotionally overwhelmed by the upheavals in their personal lives ( Over One Million U.S. Kids are Homeless ). Many things can contribute to homelessness, for instance; poverty, lack of affordable housing, job loss, economic insecurity, etc. America needs to stabilize shelters, move homeless people into permanent housing, execute assistance programs to help people maintain their housing, and expand local government support for the development of affordable housing units. Homeless shelters do already exist in America, but most are filthy and are invaded with bedbugs and body lice. Most large homeless shelters do not have proper ventilation, causing it to get extremely hot during the summer. Even though families do stay in these shelters, it is unsafe and gross. One such behavior that is so often overlooked is the preferential treatment that certain groups receive over others. In the 2013 general elections and recent local elections, the left parties were able to win nearly 60 percent seats up for the contest. If that ratio holds, the left alliance will likely be a clear winner in the upcoming national and state elections. However, the rebel candidates against the alliance candidates on both sides might not let the outcome to so straightforward. The Importance of Biological Factors in the Development of Gender Identity The biosocial theory suggests that gender identity develops as a result of the obvious biological differences between boys and girls and the hormonal differences between the sexes which can be observed in the foetus from about six weeks (Durkin, 1995). Supporting evidence has been found through animal studies, such as that by Young, Goy and Phoenix (1964) who gave testosterone to pregnant monkeys and found that any female offspring were prone to be unusually aggressive. Evidence is also found in case studies of humans. Imperato McGinley et al. (1974) studied a family in the Dominican Republic in which four children were born ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This demonstrates the part played by both hormonal and psychological factors, working against genetic factors , in the development of gender identity. The sociobiological theory argues that males and females look and behave differently because they are driven to behave in ways that maximise their chances to reproduce and pass on their genes. As females produce a limited supply of eggs at some physical cost they must ensure that each reproduction is as successful as possible by selecting a mate with good genes who can provide for them and their offspring. In contrast, males produce large amounts of sperm at almost no physical cost and therefore maximise their chances of passing on their genes through promiscuity. The sexy sons hypothesis argues that females select males who posses characteristics which they would like their sons to inherit, in order that the sons are selected as mates by other females, continuing the genetic line. The handicapping theory suggests that females seek males with robust genes, demonstrated by the males ability to sustain characteristics that incur a physiological cost, such as a peacock s elaborate tail.
