3. INTRODUCTION
• As the country is developing and technology is
increasing , people are becoming careless.
• In 2020,India ranks 3rd most polluted country
across the world.
• In 2020,India again ranked 3rd after China and
USA in recording the highest number of natural
resources. 3
4. PROBLEMS IN MY CITY(LUDHIANA)
• Ludhiana is famous for woollen industry but with
that it is also considered as most POLLUTED city in
India.
4
5. WATER POLLUTION
• Before 20 years, buddha nullah is
considered to be very pure river which
can be used for drinking purpose.
• But now the colour of the water is
changed to black and it has become
infectious, smelly and full of garbage.
• Reason behind this is people and
industrial wastage is thrown into it and
no one is still not taking the step to
clean it.

6. DEFORESTATION
• As the population is increasing, space for
living, walking etc. is required.
• To complete these desires people start
cutting trees and do not even plant
another tree in open area for
compensating.
• Chopping more than 1,500 trees
along Sidhwan Canal of Ludhiana
going on in full swing to construct
Ladhowal bypass by NHAI. SIDHWAN CANAL ,LUDHIANA 6
7. SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
• The poor solid waste management
system is one of the major poll issues
raised by environment activists.
• The garbage heaps that look like
mountains at the main dumpsite,
spreads over 50 acres, are
polluting soil and groundwater.
• Moreover, there is no check on
the frequent burning of waste
which cause air pollution.
7
8. SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS
• Planting more trees , it solve large number of problem like flood air
pollution. People should be aware that they have to plant trees if they
want healthy future.
• Use recycled products, it can reduce the garbage problem and also be
sustainable to the environment.
• Public awareness about the overpopulation, this can solve enormous
problems like poverty, air pollution due to increased vehicles.
• Most important government is the major part it should take major steps
to clean buddha nala and also make strict rules so that people don’t
harm the environment. 8
9. • New programmes should be started to
encourage the people , prizes or awards
should be assembled to children who are
participating in the clean environment.
• Education and mass awareness should
increased so that from children to old age
people can also be aware and that would
definitely encourage them to participate
in CLEAN INDIA AND GREEN INDIA.
