Research Paper On Maya Angelou
Maya Angelou, a Phenomenal Woman Maya Angelou is a strong, phenomenal woman. She was
multi talented and very successful. Over the years she earned many awards for her works. In
Maya Angelou s I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings , Still I Rise , Phenomenal Woman, and
When I Think About Myself, she uses a caged bird to symbolize herself as a child; she also
creates a vivid theme for the reader and utilizes metaphors to make her point.
Maya Angelou was multi talented. She was an author, actress, screenwriter, dancer, and poet.
Growing up, Maya lived in Stamps, Arkansas after her parents split. Living in Arkansas she faced
racial hardships. In San Francisco she got a scholarship at the California labor school to study
dance and acting. At age ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She stresses that beauty is only skin deep. Accepting herself for who she is, she speaks
confidently about herself throughout the poem. Confidence, in which, is another theme of the
poem. She speaks positively about herself. Mystery is also a theme in this poem. She says that
her impact on men is because of the mystery that lies within her, though no one really
understands the secret to her self expression. Another theme that is strongly stressed in this
poem is that it is better to be yourself and feel comfortable in your own skin. The metaphorical
use in this poem is then they swarm around me, a hive of honey bees. She is comparing men to a
hive of bees. She also compares her passion to fire and the warmth of her smile to the sun. When
maya speaks of a model s size it symbolizes what men want and expect in a woman. Another
Symbol is the author s inner mystery and it represents the inner beauty that all women have. Men
are also a part of symbolism in the poem. They represent the typical man that only like the most
beautiful of women. When Maya says I say, it s the fire in my eyes, she uses fire to show how
much power she has, and that is what people are attracted

Working Of Dc Ac Converter For Photovoltaic Systems Essay
ABRIDGEMENT This report aims to discuss the working of DC AC converter for photovoltaic
systems and how it has been implemented to convert renewable energy into usable power to be
supplied to the load (power supply application).A topology of a two stage DC AC converter has
been designed in which a boost converter and a full bridge inverter act as an interface between
the photovoltaic (PV) array and the power supply applications. A controlled strategy called
Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technique has been used for achieving maximum
power output at the load. Various modes of operation of the converter and the inverter are also
discussed. MATLAB Simulink environment has been used for designing the circuitry and to
observe various waveforms related to the output. Keywords: PV array, MPPT (Maximum Power
Point Tracking), Perturbation and Observation, Boost Converter, Full Bridge Inverter. TABLE OF

been substantial increase in energy demand. The fossil fuel consumption has also been increased
to great extent. But it s over consumption is leading to various environmental issues like increased
level of Carbon dioxide and various harmful gases in the environment and rise of Global Warming.
So various approaches are being made to meet the world s increasing demand of energy.in the

CBRN Reconnaissance Platoon
There is a long and rich history of Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) reconnaissance, today
also known or referred to as Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN)
reconnaissance within the United States Army. Scholars and experts believe that as early as 1935
Chemical Warfare schools publications discussed the need to identify, mark, and produce a method
to avoid contaminated areas. Avoidance is the most important fundamental of NBC Defense. In
addition to the casualties an attack can cause, the contamination that may come with an attack also
causes casualties and produces long term hazards that can interfere with the mission. Overcoming

Before the year 1945, warnings from chemical agents present in the battlefield came from the
soldiers physical senses, warning soldiers to mask. Odors such as garlic indicated mustard agent,
and fresh mown hay were identified as phosgene. Identification kits were man operated that
required someone with experience to get accurate results. The chemical agent detectors, for
instance, relied on a trained human operator manually pumping air through several silica gel filled
glass tubes, each one filled with a specific reagent to detect different chemical agents. (Mauroni,
America s Struggle with Chemical Biological Warfare, 2000) Tactics and methods used during the
early stages of chemical warfare led to the development of significant improvements which included
the modification of detector paper, the development of an specific 1 ВЅ inch long glass detector
tube with silica gel absorbents, and enzyme tickets that changed color when expose to an agent.
The desire for improvement led to the creation and implementation of new technology such as the
M9A2 chemical field agent detector kit, M10A1 chemical agent analyzer kit, and the M12 agent
sampling kit. Although there were a few controversies on whether common soldiers (non specialist)

Different Definitions Of Leadership, Skills, And...
Knowing one s level of competencies in every area helps in determining whether to keep it up or
improve on the said skills. With different definitions of leadership, different people also view my
leadership skills differently. This is simply because I possess certain traits, skills and behavioral
styles that set me apart from everyone else. Having completed the three surveys which includes;

Behavioral Style Questionnaire.
Five Factor Trait Model
After I completed the short form on the website provided, a report was sent shown to me.). The
report estimated an individual s level on each and every one of the five broad personality
domains/models. The models are as follows: (a) Neuroticism (b) Extraversion (c) Openness (d)
Agreeableness (e) Conscientiousness. The Models are also further divided into six (6) facets each.
This helped in explaining the criteria used in arriving at the results of the report. The explanations
of the scores from the report are written below.
For extraversion, my score was high, which indicated me as a sociable, outgoing, energetic and
lively person. It also described me as preferring to be around people most of the time. My level
of agreeableness is on the average. The report that I have indicated me as being unwilling to

Social Media Influence On Political Leaders

Social media is a term used to depict the association between gatherings or people in which they

Why Marx s Social Theory Place So Much Emphasis On Class...
Why does Marx s social theory place so much emphasis on class conflict and the economic
aspects of society? Introduction There are many reasons why Marx s social theory places so
much emphasis on class conflict and the economic aspects of society. Marx created his theory
during a period of time where there was a large level of social change which led to modifications
in the ways in which people worked (Morrison, 2012). This social change impacted his
sociological thinking, encouraging him to explore topics such as materialism, alienation and
surplus labour as a means of explaining reasons for the large levels of social change which this
essay will go on to discuss. These topics all influenced his decision to place a lot of emphasis on
class conflict and the economic aspects of society as it was a new and upcoming phenomena.
Materialism Firstly, it could be argued that one reason why Marx places so much emphasis on
class conflict and the economic aspects of society is because factors such as materialism could
impact other areas of society. Morrision put forward the point that: Marx s break with Hegel s
idealist philosophy which helped him devise a method that was suitable to the study of society and
history which was formally outside philosophy [...] the introduction of materialism and the
materialist outlook as a theoretical perspective for looking at the formation of historical societies.
Having introduced the materialist perspective, Marx then was able to show that the

Van Gogh created more than 43 self portraits between 1885 and 1889.[231][note 13] They were
usually completed in series, such as those painted in Paris in mid 1887, and continued until
shortly before his death.[232] Generally the portraits were studies, created during introspective
periods when he was reluctant to mix with others, or when he lacked models, and so painted
himself.[222][233] The self portraits reflect a degree of self scrutiny that, according to Hughes, is
seldom if ever apparent in an artist.[234] Often they mark important periods in his development,
for example in the mid 1887 Paris series, where he became influenced by Claude Monet, Paul
Cezanne and Signac.[235] In Self Portrait with Grey Felt Hat, heavy strains of paint

The Dangers Of The Atomic Bomb
On August 6, 1945, at 8:15 am America released an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima in
Japan, (Hersey 1). This action was done to put an end to World War II, and bring the soldiers of
America back home. For many Americans, the dropping of the bomb meant nothing but to do
what had to be done. The end results were not taken into account because there was no way to
know what could happen when using new technology, (Okazaki). The results of the atomic
bomb alone had a casualty rate of about 135,000 people, of that 66,000 died and 69,000 were
injured, (The Atomic Bombings). Prior to the atomic bomb, Japan had already lost their a
majority of their defense, only had their navy left and was nearly destroyed. From data, we were
able to find out an equivalent to that bomb had more power than two thousands tons of TNT,
(Hersey 49). The excessive amount of power did not help to solve anything, it only created a
race for nuclear power, (The Cold War). The dropping of the Atomic bomb was an inhumane use
of power and all countries should destroy the use of atomic power because it does not single out
the enemies from Japan, but it also affects Japan s civilians in that area innocent or not. All
within a few seconds, families and friends were torn from each other without a chance for any
last words, all at the hands of the American people. The result of this action led very few people
who were able to care for those who needed help because very few people were left uninjured. The

Fema Research Paper
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) partners with Homeland Security to aid
Americans and people in other countries in case a major disaster occurs. They give out food and
water and help provide shelters to those who have lost their homes. But it has only been in recent
years after terrorist attacks on U.S. soil that Homeland Security has joined this group. This has
increased suspicions towards why a group that was created to fight terrorists would need to be
involved in aiding those who have been in an earthquake or flooding. Few Americans feel that they
have any hope of being able to truly count on their assistance because of this. But that isn t the only
reason. FEMA has been hiding several truths from Americans who falsely believe... Show more

High Amount of Losses
Unfortunately, FEMA already knows what most Americans don t. There will be a huge amount
of casualties because so few people are prepared for a state of emergency to happen. Because of
this, they are already prepared to bury thousands of people with a stash of coffins that they keep
handy. Although this sounds cruel, it should be used as motivation for people to not expect FEMA
to be their savior in case of a disaster. They have to be able to handle situations on their own instead.
As you can see, this organization is highly motivated to work against the American people, not
for them. That is why it is extremely important that people start preparing now for a possible
crisis now. Foods that have a long shelf life and don t need refrigeration are the most important
to have on hand. Freeze dried food can last for about 25 years, so it is the best to keep. But
canned foods that can be easily heated up are also important in case there isn t enough water to
rehydrate it. These types of foods are all easily found for sale at www.survivalcavefood.com. They
come in airtight containers to avoid pests from getting in them too. And the website has a neat

Greek Drama In Mr. Nobody
Elements of Greek Drama in Mr. Nobody
Summary
Mr. Nobody is an amazing science fiction journey following Nemo Nobody. The movie might be
confusing at first, but the pieces all start fitting together to show his multiple lives and experiences.
Each life that Nemo goes through shows almost every possibility, every single thing that could go
horribly wrong or beautifully right. (You should really watch this if you haven t, but I might be
ruining it for you by writing this essay.)
One can find Greek drama elements in almost every piece of literature or film, but Mr. Nobody can
be a difficult film to discover these elements. Because of the purposeful confusion in the story it
could be a struggle to link the true with fictional and find a specific element. This movie is
though filled with Greek drama elements that help the story flow and make sense to the audience.
The first noticeable element is the prologue where Nemo, the main character in this film, is a child
narrating how his parents met and raised him. Before Nemo comes into the world, he is in a bright,
cloudy room with many other children where they wait to get touched by angels so that they could
forget the spiritual life before birth. The only problem is is that Nemo didn t get touched and he
was forgotten; meaning he would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He states multiple times throughout the movie As long as you don t choose, everything remains
possible and Every path is the right path. These quotes set the philosophical laws that the film
revolves around while going through each and every life Nemo could live. In one point in the
film it shows the choices of Anna, Nemo s one true love, in the future at a subway station. If she
had walked one way or went to meet Nemo at the lighthouse, then they would have been together
after decades of being apart from their love. This love is what later on ruins Nemo s

Watch On The Bulge Research Paper
Watch on the Rhine or The Battle of the Bulge as the American called it, was the Germans last
major counter offensive in World War II to push the allied force out of northern France and into
northwestern Belgium. The fighting force in the battle was 250,000 Germans which included 14
German infantry divisions guarded by four Panzer tank divisions against a mere 80,000 Americans.
The first assault happened on December 16, 1944, on a thinly guarded 85 mile stretch from
Echternach in the south to Monschau in the north in the Ardennes Mountains, called the Ghost
Front. For Adolf Hitler and the Reich, this was their last big push against the Allied Forces. For SS

I am taking the offensive in the Ardennes! Across the Meuse and on to Antwerp! From the end of
September to December 7th, Hitler and his most trusted generals worked up the plan for the
Ardennes Offensive that was first titled Operation Christrose but when Hitler saw the final
version, he cheerfully renamed it, Watch on the Rhine. High commanding officers were read
into the operation. By the end of December 7th, the first load of supplies was loaded on trains
and on the way to the Ardennes to ensure all the supplies they would need for the operation were
stockpiled and on December 11th the buildup was complete. Hitler moved his headquarter near a
castle in Ziegenburg so he was about to keep a close, personal eye on the operation and set the
date of December 16th for the attack to begin. Hitler briefed his division commanders himself
and concluded by saying, This battle is to decide whether we shall live or die. I want all my
soldiers to fight hard and without pity. The battle must be fought with brutality and all resistance
must be broken in a wave of terror. In the most serious hour of the Fatherland, I expect every one
of my soldiers to be courageous and again courageous. The enemy must be beaten now or never!

Loose parts provide a high level of creativity and choice as there are endless possibilities for how
they can be played with.
In my setting yesterday the children used loose parts such as cardboard boxes, bottle tops and
shiny paper to make a robot, the robot then became a bus and later a child s hideout.
Simon Nichols theory of loose parts argues that creativity is not for the gifted, he believes that it
is our education and cultural conditions that lead us to believe this .He said that in any
environment, both the degree of inventiveness and creativity and the possibility of discovery are
directly proportional to the number of loose parts and kind of variables in it. You do not have to

have to stay in doors as in our setting we believe the children can learn and develop much more

Italian Immigration To California Essay
Drawn by the prospects of job opportunities, agriculture, land, and gold Italians began
immigrating to California in the mid 19th century. At this time many Italians had settled on the
east coast, causing California [to be free] from the threat of large scale immigration, because
few Italian peasants were able to afford the additional travel expenses (Giovinco 198). However,
the Italians coming to California were mostly from the northern parts of Italy, while those that
settled on the east coast were from the southern parts of Italy. Once arriving in California, the
Italians settled in the North Beach area of San Francisco, Monterey, and southern California
between the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego. The immigration of Italians to California came
in three main waves with the first wave arriving between the mid 19th century until shortly before
World War II, and were driven by poverty and struggle, (Yollin) while the second wave, arriving
during the period just before the war until 1970, were mainly middle class Italians who wanted to

The Impact Of Television And Its Impact On Society
Throughout the years, TV has impacted us in several ways. Yet, who knows where TV will be
in our years to come. As we continue to become more technologically advanced, the use of
television will soon be a game changer. As we take a look back on the history of TV, we first
started off the television industry with black and white pictures. Since it was an upbringing at the
time, it was not as clear and the pictures would appear pixelated. Although that seemed to change
as devices such as cameras and scanning systems seemed to progress over time. In 1936 John Logie
Baird, an inventor of amplified mechanical televisions, had first started off with 240 lines. Now,
we live in a generation where we ve tremendously evolved in regards to our high definition as
1080 is the norm. As we move on from black and white, individuals were now introduced to color
television. It made TV more enjoyable and the quality continued to improve. Another
advancement that developed throughout the years would be time shifting. In other words, this
was known as video tape recorders. This device amazed individuals as they were able to record a
show and watch it at a more suitable time. However, DVDs soon took the place of VHS recorders
as it became more convenient. With all these technological improvements, the one that seemed to
have a greatest impact on society would be the introduction of digital television. The picture quality
was more clear and made TV worth watching. Also, people had

Comparing Man s Search For Meaning And Logotherapy
An Introspective Look at Frankl s Man s Search for Meaning and Logotherapy There is an old
adage that implies that into every life, a little rain must fall, which suggests that some amount of
suffering, be it miniscule or great, is an unavoidable part of every human being s existence.
Undoubtedly, there are circumstances in one s life that are beyond his or her control.
Circumstances that will cause one to question his or her very existence and pose the question Why
me? Viktor Frankl experienced such an event when he was imprisoned in several Jewish
concentration camps during the Holocaust. Frankl s novel, Man s Search for Meaning (2006), gives
an account of Frankl s time spent in Jewish concentration camps. During this harrowing experience,
Frankl used the daily occurrences that surrounded him to observe and analyze the impact that such
suffering has on man. During his time in the camp, Frankl was stripped of his identity, his family,
and all of his material... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Frankl (2006), Logotherapy tries to make the patient fully aware of his own
responsibility: therefore, it must leave him the option for what, to what, or to whom he
understands himself to be responsible (p. 109). If one is aware of the responsibility that he or she
has to something or someone other than self, it contributes to the clarity in defining his or her
meaning of life. Although responsibility can give clarity on the meaning of life, Frankl asserts that,
ultimately, the meaning of life is found by doing a service or good deed, by loving another, and by
one s attitude toward unavoidable suffering. These aforementioned tenets are essential to one
finding one s meaning and to Logotherapy.

that we must respect and obey in order to gain trust. Trust is another vital part of prosocial
behavior among humans page 318 For example, I conform and obey because I was raised with the
principles that we must respect others and elders if we wantthe same type of respect back. Some
people on the other hand might conform because of social norms. People conform to the behavior
of others more, and in general conform to social norms more, when others are watching page 318

Zora Neale Hurston Analysis
Zora Neale Hurston was able to offer a feminine opinion in a time when writing was primarily
dominated by males. This evidently demonstrated a difference in her work in comparison to her
male counterparts. For instance, During this time writers such as W.E.B. Du Bois and Langston
Hughes were analogous to black activist and spoke up for their race, discussing inequality and
examining the negative issues at play while offering strategies to combat those issues and bring
about change. For instance, Dubois spoke greatly about black upliftment through the process of
higher education and urged blacks to stand up for what they believed and not conform to
passiveness. This is depicted when Dubois states the way for a people to gain their reasonable

The Love Song Of J Alfred Prufrock Essay
T.S Eliot wrote his poems in the modernist manner and was one of twentieth century major poets.
His famous works indicate the distortion of human society and also on the individual level and
are critically acclaimed over the world. This essay will discuss the comparison of the theme of
human society as a waste land in two of Eliot s famous works, The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock
and Preludes . Although both the poem discusses the theme of humansociety as a waste land, the
way in which Eliot portrays the theme differs in the poems. The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock
subtly implies the ideas of the aftermath of World War I
and uses a single point of view that of
Prufrock s to indicate human society as a waste land. However, in Preludes ... Show more content

These different views portray the idle ad infertile state of human society. Stanza I begin with the
description of a cold winter evening and the routine scenario such as burnt out ends of smoky
days (line 4), the grimy scrapes (line 6), withered leaves (line 7), newspapers from vacant lots
(line 8), through a third person omniscient point of view. All these description of the day and the
street tells of something that is dark, uncheerful and even still. These lines suggest the mundane
scenario of a society that has lost all its charms and liveliness. Then the point of view shifts to
the second person You . The third stanza gives a picture of a person who waits for someone else
to come to a lonely bed with hopes of something unreal. This has the suggestions to human lives
where people wait for things to become better and in the hope lose grip of their own lives. The
lines 33 34, you have such a vision of the street as the street hardly understands gives the reader
the picture that the person on the bed dreamt of the street of the street as it actually never will be,
implying to hopes the human, as an individual, has of how the society should be. Not cold,
distorted and dead but lively, closely knit and warm with emotions. It indirectly shows of how
distorted human society had become as an effect of the damage humans inflict on each other thus
making the society a waste land. The

The Literature On Equality Dated Back Long Ago
The literature on equality dated back long ago and was more of a statistical issue prior to Rawls
philosophical contribution. The Rawlsian philosophy was based on providing justice beyond
maximizing the civil liberties. His idea difference principle was to make people equal by having
a set of institutions that allocate the worst off individuals the maximum level of primary goods .
He viewed, in this regard, primary goods as the goods necessary for the success of any life plan
and hence ensuring an equal primary good bundles is a way of making a person responsible for
his life plan choice. The other philosophers like Jensen (1969) and Herrenstein (1971) deduced in
their papers that the existence of inequalityis due to differential intelligence of the individuals and
hence rendering the society an equal income distribution is merely an imagination. Their views
were contradicted by the other thinkers like Bowles (1973) and Colinsk (1974) who thought of the
inequality as an outcome of unequal opportunity. However, it was Dworkin (1981), Arneson (1989)
or Cohen (1989) who introduced the personal responsibilityinto the literature on equality. Dworkin
(1981 a,b) argued about how lack of internal resources can be overcome by external wealth
distribution and introduced responsibility into achieving the equality in the society. Unlike Rawls,
Dworkin emphasized on preferences instead of primary goods and showed that preferences of
individuals matter into the welfare

DRAGONTM Corporation represented by their France Management team. The objective of our
team, the Communes, was to voice our concerns and work together to reach an agreement with
the France Management team regarding solutions to the impacts that DRAGON s construction
had on the development of all towns in the community. The Communes party was comprised of
the following roles: The mayors of the four cities and Director Dubois, who is the Director of
the national Department of Social Inclusion. My role as Director Dubois and a French national
government representative was to act as mediator between the Mayors and the DRAGON World

appeared to meet the main objectives of both sides and retained a solid working relationship for
the future. I will use the outcomes we reached as examples of how our team either succeeded or
failed in comparison to our negotiation plan. I will also critique my actions against established
theories in order to learn about my areas of success and weakness. As Director Dubious, I acted

Mistakes In Siddhartha
Life: A Trial and Error
Each and everyday countless mistakes are made, some insignificant and some life changing.
Regardless of a mistake s magnitude, all are followed by a set of consequences. While a mistake is
an accidental error in the human decision making process, a consequence is the price in which an
individual must pay as a result. Although mistakes are made without intention, they can, in turn, be
analyzed as a source of knowledge and learning. Hermann Hesse depicts the true value and
importance of mistakes throughout his novel Siddhartha. Experiencing many mistakes along with
their consequences, the novel s protagonist, Siddhartha, learns to face and embrace them as a part
of his path through life. This acceptance in which Siddhartha displays allows him to become closer

Primary Source Vs Secondary Source Analysis
The major differences that exist between primary source and secondary source authors are its
reliability and credibility. Secondary source authors hold certain disadvantages in that the authors
did not directly experience the actual event, meaning that they do not have a first hand account of
the experience that occurred. Because these secondary sourceauthors were not affected, their
information could contain inaccurate data, or their opinions askew due to their lack of a direct
experience. Although secondary sources may have their disadvantages, secondary source authors
have the ability to analyze, interpret, evaluate, and synthesize the original events and data that
could not be done initially due to time constraints. With the ability to analyze statistics and
documents, authors can construct explanations and justifications as to why these events arose....

Secondary sources may include a collection of multiple reliable sources, but secondary source
authors have a high possibility of distorting historical accuracy due to their perspective. However,
primary source authors may not be completely reliable, may be one sided, and cannot be

who took the side of the Indians after he witnessed a full scale massacre. Bartolome stated, The
reason the Christians have murdered on such a vast scale and killed anyone and everyone in their
way is purely and simply greed. His opinions are one sided due to his past observance of only a part

Euripides The Trojan Women
British Prime Minister Winston Churchill once asserted that history is written by the victors.
Indeed, when Athenian troops first invaded the tiny, neutral island of Melos during the prolonged
Peloponnesian War, few native Greeks protested against the violent incursion. However, when
Euripides, the third of the Greek tragic poets, developed The Trojan Women months after the
deadly attack, Greek citizens were presented with a perspective of war unlike any other. Although
Euripides production is centered on the mythical Trojan War, it was recognized by Greek citizens
as a clear condemnation of the invasion that had just taken place the year before. Even today, The
Trojan Women is widely regarded as an anti war composition that focuses on the terrors and
irrationality of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Euripides intentionally employs graphic imagery to convey the inhumanity of war and thus
evoke a wide range of emotion from his audience. Near the beginning of the play, Poseidon
observes that blood drips down from the gods shrines as he passes through the devastated city
where Troy once proudly stood (Euripides 31). Evidently, the Greek soldiers had exercised such
depravity during battle that they had resorted to slaughtering and raping innocent civilians in
consecrated temples. This despicable act surely would have upset Euripides largely religious
audience, who would not have condoned such immorality, regardless of the circumstances.
Euripides uses this same literary device to evoke pathos when he describes the death of
Astyanax. When Andromache is first informed of her baby son s fate, she cries out, Why hold
me with your hands so fast, cling so fast to me? You little bird, flying to hide beneath my wings
(Euripides 64). By creating an image of a little child, hardly developed beyond babyhood, clinging
desperately to his mother in the same way a hatchling might seek shelter in its mother s

Key Cultural Differences Between the United States and Japan

direct communication style versus indirect communication style. This paper will focus on the key
cultural difference within business communication styles of both. Then, it will conclude with

When planning to do business with the Japanese being prepared, as well as understanding their
business culture and etiquette is a key (Commisceo, 2016). The Japanese are very formal in most
everything they do, specifically in business. Business greetings, business meetings, seating
arrangements, to the exchanging of gifts and business cards are all based on tradition and rituals. A
high value of importance is placed on these formal cultural behaviors.
Americans tend to be more casual when conducting business, particularly with informal greetings
and other business customs. In American business culture, everyone comes to the table as an
equal, no matter what your title may be. On the other hand, the Japanese are always conscious of
leadership hierarchy and act accordingly in social and business settings, according to Geert
Hofstede (n.d). Barrett (2014) suggests, the difference in how power and equality are viewed
culturally leads to tremendous difference... in how individuals interact with each other on a daily

A Skin Disease Of Vitiligo
I am going to be discussing a skin disease called vitiligo. This skin disease occurs when one s
melanocytes, mature melanin forming cells, are ruined. Vitiligo is a disease that is not hard to
recognize and can be found at several spots on the body. The most common places to find this
disease would be on the hands, feet, around the mouth and eyes, and even around the genitalia. With
some skindiseases, melanocytes are destroyed, and the production of melanin, a dark brown to
black pigment that is found in the skin and is the reasoning for skin color, is simply just slowed
down. This results in hypopigmentation, which is the loss of skin color, but not a total loss. Other
skin diseases, such as vitiligo, have a complete absence of melanin. The depigmented skin color of
someone with this disease is similar to that of one who suffers from albinism.
The destruction of melanocytes can have three major causes in people with vitiligo. The first being
that a patient with vitiligo has inherited three of the vitiligo genes, which has caused their
melanocytes to destruct. The second being that the melanocytes themselves are different in a
patient with vitiligo in relation to those without vitiligo. Melanocytes of a vitiligo patient compared
to a person without vitiligo require a meticulous cultural condition and are more unstable around
certain chemicals. The cells can even die when exposed to such factors. Vitiligo genes are
prevented from acting in a normal fashion when they are

Preconceptions In The Blind Man
If a blind person walked into the room, I would expect to see someone who looked feeble, wore
dark glasses, used a cane, and potentially had a guide dog. The narrator of this story had similar
preconceptions about the blind. Some of these preconceptions were that the blind move slowly
and never laugh , sometimes [the blind are] led by seeing eye dogs , the blind man s life and
marriage were unfulfilling because he was unable not see, and others that had to do with
physical appearance and mannerisms. This blind man though breaks these stereotypes and
much more. Conventional ideas about the blind are broken because of the way he was
portrayed and helped to teach the narrator a lesson. The blind man, Robert, is an independent
person. Throughout the story, he shows this through some of his actions, such as not using a
cane and cutting his food without the help of the others at the table. He also portrays his
independence through his stories when he talks about some of his past jobs such as a ham radio
operator and an Amway distributor. Robert s independence helped to break many of the
stereotypes that the narrator had in place which helped to change the narrator s life. One of these
main lessons I believe was that there is a difference between physically seeing and perceptively
seeing. Although Robert was not able to see things physically like the narrator, he was able to
perceive things in a way that the narrator could not. This could be seen when it came to Robert
and the narrator s wife. Even though the Robert was unable to see the narrator s wife, he could
perceptively see her, understand her, and listen to her in a way the narrator was unable to. He
understood her problems and poetry, and give her companionship in a way that the husband did not
see that she needed. From the beginning of the story, the narrator gave the impression that he
believed he was better than the blind man because he had physical sight. After realizing the blind
man understood his wife more and during the last moments when the two of them drew a cathedral
together, the narrator s perspective changed. In the evening, after a documentary aired on the
television about Cathedrals, the narrator attempted to describe one to the blind

Negative Essay On Life On Mars
For many years scientist from all parts of the world have encountered the idea, Was there life on
Mars, and is there still today. Never has a Scientist been one hundred percent certain, but a few
have been pretty darn sure that life has and still exists on Mars. Bacteria and water have said to be
found on Marsa long time ago but is there still bacteria and water on it today. Probes from NASA
have gone to Mars to find any kind of lifeform and found samples of water and maybe bacteria.
With this finding scientist want to claim for there to be life on Mars but in order to claim that
more evidence is needed. At one time Mars was said to have an ecosystem as strong as Earth
s.(Savage, Early Mars) Water was an extraordinary finding for scientist, and the fact that Mars
had a very strong Ecosystem gives scientist the upper hand.. The argument about life on Mars
can be very well debated on both ends, but the evidence leans more towards that life can and
perhaps does exist on Mars. Life on Mars can be proven by just a few but important facts. Lifeforms
may have been discovered by the probes from NASA sent to Mars. Water and bacteria are the key
to any kind of lifeform, as far as we know, and Probes from NASA found samples of water and
perhaps maybe even bacteria. Robotic spacecraft have been sent to orbit Mars and Probes are
sent to land on the red planet, and Probes have done their job, water was a very important finding.

Victorian gold rush in 1851 attracted many people from all over the world. Peter Lalor was one
of them. He arrived in 1852 from Ireland, where he was a well known freedom fighter. Peter was
well educated and was used to leading men. He was straight talking, strong minded and courageous.
He was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. When the governor introduced expensive gold
licenses, the miners really began to struggle. They took their grievances to the gold commissioner,
but he did not want to hear about their problems. Instead, the commissioner sent

Network Security Threats for ASDI
New and Rapidly Advancing Threats One of the biggest threats to network security in 2014 is the
end of support for the Windows XP operating system (OS). On April 8th 2014, Microsoft will
discontinue support for the aging OS. What this means for users of Windows XP is that as new
vulnerabilities and exploits are discovered, they will not be fixed the vulnerabilities will only
continue to grow. For any business environment that is still using Windows XPbeyond April 8th, the
machines running the OS will become the organization s biggest securityflaw. It is highly likely
that hackers are holding back on using known zero day exploits for Windows XP until after April
8th because they know that beyond that date, the exploit will not be... Show more content on

An exploit kit such as Blackhole can pose a threat to ASDI in two ways. The first threat is to the
one hundred workstations. These workstations could potentially fall victim to a driveby
download if they are used to visit a compromised website. The other way ASDI could be harmed
by an exploit kit is if one or both of its web servers become compromised, and an exploit kit is
installed, the servers would then install malicious software on the company s customer s computers
when they visit the site.
Countermeasures and Prevention In order to ensure that ASDI s network is as secure as it can
be, it is important to ensure that the logical structure is appropriate to facilitate a secure network.
The company s two web servers need to be sectioned off from the internal subnets. This is best
accomplished through the use of a demilitarized zone (DMZ), which places a firewall between
the web servers and the intranet, and another firewall between the web servers and the Internet. If
the outer firewall is breached, the web servers may become compromised, but the intranet would
still be protected by an additional firewall. The student workstations should reside on a student
subnet which has no connectivity to the employee subnet. The employee and student subnets will
each have a file server connected, and the company s email server will be connected to the
employee subnet. There are already two WiFi access points (AP) at ASDI one will be

The Environment Is A System Of Living Things
An environment is a system of living things. The Earth is our environment. The capacity of our
environment to offer space, to reap nutrition and to fund energy are all limited. Food, water and
other basic assets are strained by the escalating requests of our persistently developing population.
We rely on these limited resources for our survival, yet we are quickly extending our populationas
though they were infinite. This reality is at the focal point of our environmental issues. Despite the
fact that the number of inhabitants on earth has been escalating in a continuous manner since 1400,
the most emotional increment has taken place in more recent decades. Overpopulationis a standout
amongst the most concerning troubles in present times. It is an undesirable condition where the
number of existing human population exceeds the carrying capacity of Earth. (1) There is a natural
point of confinement to the population size that can be reasonably maintained by an environment.
Overpopulation is the undesirable condition where the amount of the existing human population
exceeds this natural limit and eventually devours our planet with the request for more nutrition
from less land and water supplies. As the total population develops, enhancing expectations for
everyday comforts and improving living standards without destroying the Earth is a global
challenge. Our world populationis growing at about eighty million people a year, which equates to
an average of two hundred and

Medecins Frontieres
Everyone deserves medical help whether they live in an emerging nation or in the heart of New
York City. This is what Bernard Kouchner thought when he created Medecins Sans Frontieres, or
Doctors Without Borders. Medecins Sans Frontieres goes to third world countries and helps
deliver free medical aid to those in need. The amount of helpless people in third world countries
shows that without the aid of Medecins Sans Frontieres citizens would be without the medical
assistance that they deserve. The acts of Medecins Sans Frontieres results in the better being of
others. This is demonstrated through their tireless efforts, resulting in less people at risk. This is
well presented, as evident in the events of March 1999. The expulsion of ethnic... Show more

While treating infected people Medecins Sans Frontieres takes readings, which are then sent off to
a microscopy lab for microscopy quality control testing and then tested for anything pertaining to
the medical issue at hand. MSF uses the traditional protocol of reexamining 10% of negative slides
and all positive slides... (Klarkowski). Although this is not the most efficient method for examining
illness this method delivers more data and doing so helps any Medecins Sans Frontieres team
determine what is and isn t working with their treatments. This same approach was used for the
mental health services department since March of 1998 in Bosnia. Group interventions were
prefered because of the secondary benefits of sharing and mutual support. MEdecins Sans
Frontiers found that communities were generally supportive of each other. (Jong). While nearly
300 miles apart the same data was collected from differing victims. This proves how the
organization improves the world through research and development by showing how this
organization collects and quality control checks data using a less progressive method as to ensure
more active and dependable data. This method of testing multiple times is used everywhere but in
a more advanced way with Medecins Sans Frontieres. As shown when a Medecins Sans Frontieres
team stationed in Bosnia discovered that victims are more likely to talk in a group than alone. This
same finding was also evident, found around the same time in Kosovo. (Located by Serbia) The
Medecins Sans Frontieres teams professed this information and as a result a counselling element
was added to all mobile clinics throughout Medecins Sans

What Are Some Amount Of Praise Towards Students With Their...
The purpose and relevance of this study are to determine if we use a certain amount of praise
towards students if their behavior will change through different kinds of situations. There were
two experiments conducted for this study. The two experiments were called Experiment 1 and
Experiment 2. The different groups that would be used during this study were called easy 100,
easy 33, and difficult 100. The main focus of this study is to get rid of problematic behaviors,
mainly those who self injure, have aggression, and have tantrums, all of which that are serious
enough for the safety of the child and others. The study has a few factors that are liable for the
care of the problem behaviors which, falls into two classes such as escape behaviorwhich is
controlled by negative reinforcement developments, and attention requesting behavior that is
controlled by positive reinforcement developments. There is a decent amount of evidence that is
said to believe that many of the children learn to produce problematic behaviors in the existence
of aversive stimuli. It is seen that aversive stimuli are being used in everyday classroom settings.
In these settings the instructional demands may be more frequent aversive stimuli and a range of
different problematic behaviors such as aggression, self injury, and tantrums may serve as an
escape behavior which, allows children to avoid what they were going to be participating in, in the
classroom. In the first experiment, we will be

The Zinc Of Cobalt 60
COBALT 60
INTRO
Cobalt 60 or also known as co 60 is one of the many isotopes of the element, Cobalt. Cobalt has 28
isotopes other than Cobalt 60, these include: Cobalt 47, Cobalt 48, Cobalt 49, Cobalt 50, Cobalt
51, Cobalt 52, Cobalt 53, Cobalt 54, Cobalt 55, Cobalt 56, Cobalt 58, Cobalt 59, Cobalt 60, Cobalt
61, Cobalt 62, Cobalt 63, Cobalt 64, Cobalt 65, Cobalt 66, Cobalt 67, Cobalt 68, Cobalt 69,
Cobalt 70, Cobalt 71, Cobalt 72, Cobalt 73, Cobalt 74, Cobalt 75 and Cobalt 76 (Jefferson Lab,
n.d.). Co 60 is a synthetically produced radioisotope with a half life of 5.27 years (Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2014). It decays through beta particles and gamma
radiation (CDC, 2005). Cobalt 60 decays into stable isotope, Nickel 60 through beta minus decay
(radioactivity.eu.com, n.d.).
SAFETY ISSUES
Cobalt 60 can be very dangerous to human health. If ingested or inhaled, the majority of co 60 is
excreted in the feces and the rest is absorbed into the blood and tissues, mainly the liver, kidneys
and bones (CDC, 2014; United States Environmental Protection Agency [EPA], 2015). As co 60
is involved in ionising radiation, all co 60 that is absorbed by liver, kidneys or bone tissue can
cause cancer and because it decays by gamma radiation, this results in an increased risk of cancer in
comparison to other radioisotopes along with skin burns, acute radiation sickness, or death. In
occasional circumstances, medical or industrial radiation sources are lost or stolen

How Video Games Have Advance Right Along With Technology
Have you ever played a video game and wonder? How does this thing work? Who invented it?
Well you in luck because I have all the information that you need to tell you about the history of
video games. How video games have advance right along with technology that we use in everyday
life.
If you ask people. When video games did first came out? Most people would say in the 1970 s
and they would be wrong. In 1958, William A. Higinbotham, an engineer working for the United
States government, came up with first game played on a type of screen. It was a two player
tennis game played on an oscilloscope, a piece of electronic equipment with a 5 inch display . (The

Microchips were invented in the late 1950 s the problem was it only held about ten components,
including transistors which helped control the flow of electricity. In 1974, Intel introduce a chip
with over 2,800 transistors. The microchip started to shrink as technology started to advance.
In 1975, Atari decided to try and put their game on a system for the home. Even tho the game
system Odyssey had not done well. They partnered up with Sears and released a home version of
Pong. Also for one hundred dollars. Unlike Odyssey the Sears gaming system was a huge success
during the 1975 Christmas season, with sales of more the $40 million.
Atari would be king over the game industries for the next decade. A few companies like RCA and
Fairchild channel F tried to break in during Atari reign but never had much success and phased out.
Nintendo, the company which eventually became a major player in the video gaming industry for
the next three decades, delivered their first series of video game console from 1977 to 1979. The
Color TV Game Series were only for sale in Japan. These consoles essentially followed in the
footsteps of Atari and featured Pong style games.
Once again, there were a few newcomers to the market but they were met with limited success.
Bally Astrocade came about in 1977 and was celebrated for its superior graphic capabilities. For
some reason, it did not last long. Mattel introduced its Intellivision console in 1979, which

Advertising Against Draftkings And One Issue Against Fanduel
For me when I watch sports (which is almost on a daily biases) it doesn t take very long to see an
advertisement for a fantasy gambling website such as Draftkings.com and FanDuel.com. Both of
these companies have had issues recently with their advertising. Recently there have been two
issues of false advertisingagainst Draftkings and one issue against FanDuel. The first issue of false
advertising against Draftkings actually came from FanDuel. On March 13th an article was
published by FORBES detailing how FanDuel s lawyers were preparing a letter to send to
Draftkings explaining how they thought that the advertisements were not legal and why they
should be taken down. If they refused FanDuel would begin filing a lawsuit. The issue resided in
Draftkings advertising that they were Draftkings claiming they had the largest weekly cash pools,
and claiming to be the #1 destination for daily fantasy sports on the internet, while FanDuel
believed that they had the numbers to prove that Draftkings was wrong (Major Storm).
Due to the issues that FanDuel raised Draftkings was forced to change the way they marketed.
Draftkings resolved the issues before FanDuel took them to court. They no longer claim to have
the largest prize pool, simply because the amount of the prize pools changed everyday and it was
to difficult for the company to keep up if they were actually the largest any given day. They have
changes their slogan from claiming to be the #1 destination as well. Now if you

Wild Style Essay
Wild Style is a hip hop film that was produced by Charlies Ahearm in 1983. This movie is
considered to be one of the most influential films in a hip hop history, because it is the first hip
hop motion picture and has main elements of hip hop in it. After the soundtracks of the movie
had been released, people started to know more about a culture of hip hop. The movie plot also
makes it even more interesting. This movie travels back in time to the period that hip hop was
not well known and was among a small group of people. Zoro is the New York City boy who has
a passion for hip hop culture, especially graffiti. Even though other people disagree with his
decision, Zero still tries to prove his belief when he is hired to paint a stage on a hip hop concert
event. The several elements of hip hop are seen in this movie and are all interacted as he says
[Graffiti artist] makes those letter dance (2). In this paper, I will illustrate how Wild Style shows
the interconnection of two main hip hop s elements that are mostly involved in this film: graffiti
and breakdancing. First of all, graffiti is a hip hop s element that can be seen throughout the film.
As a matter of fact, we first see it in a very beginning of the film. A young male climbs down a rope
to spray and leave his signature on a wall is an opening sequence... Show more content on

In addition to graffiti, we see a lot of breakdancing scenes in this movie. The example is when
the white journalist Virginia go to a black club with Zoro, Phade, and Hector. In this scene, we
see a full element of hip hop. Everyone can dance in this scene, even young kids. One thing that
makes this scene interesting is the fact that, in the old days a club in black community is more
like a meet up place. It is a gathering space where everyone can come and enjoy the music.
Everyone is welcome to go on a stage and rap. Everyone has a freedom of speech, but also respect

Advantages And Objectives Of BYOD
Bring Your Own Device:
In today s world BYOD (Bring your own device), play a crucial role as it allows millions of
employees to bring their own smartphones and laptop to their work place which in return allow
them to work and connect to the company network. This is relatively a new approach to
technology. We have both advantages and disadvantages in using BYOD process.
BYOD Advantages:
пѓ The first greatest advantage is it improves the productivity.
пѓ Also it helps employees to work anytime they wish for as they have company network access to
their smartphones or laptops.
пѓ Another benefit is it also improves employee morale. There will be great employee job
satisfaction with BYOD as they use their own device rather than given by IT team.

All the businesses which hold BYOD policies should have additional security measures in order to
protect them from cybercriminals and finally ensure that the network is free. There is great amount
of pressure on IT department as every employee hold different varieties of devices and should
ensure that device is meeting all the security standards.
BYOD Policies:
In order to protect the company from various security issues companies have certain policies. The
following are the effective BYOD policies:
пѓ The company has to specify to which device and operating system they are supporting.
пѓ Third party applications should to banned that cause additional security issues.
пѓ Providing password protected facility for all the devices for additional security.
пѓ Explaining the employees in detail to which functions like email access, word documents etc.,
they have access from their mobile devices.
Ways to keep company s data secure in a BYOD environment: Every employee has to sign the
BYOD policy when he or she is joining the company. Also, every employee has to be intimated
every time there is any change in the

Kitchenpaid Research Paper
One of the best gifts my husband ever bought me was a KitchenAid Pro Series 600 stand mixer.
He knew I wanted one but wouldn t spend the nearly $600 on myself. He researched all the
brands and models and settled on one. KitchenAid mixers are excellent to have because of their
superior durability, multiple available attachments, time saving ability, and aesthetic appeal.
After two years of heavy use I can definitely say it was an exceptional purchase. When selecting a
mixer my husband did most of his research online; he read reviews and consumer reports as well
as getting background information on the different companies. KitchenAid has been in business
since 1919 and their only product was the stand mixer. For people like my husband and I, we
appreciate that they are still made in the United States of America (Adams, 2009). KitchenAid had
the best reviews and warranties out of all the similar type mixers. If you think you don t do enough
baking to warrant buying such an expensive toy, just wait until you see what this appliance can do.

attachments range from $50 to $150 each. There are juicers, food processors, meat grinders, and

vegan these have been incredibly useful as I have to make most of our food from scratch. In the
long run I save money at the grocery store because I can make my own vegan food instead of
buying specialty items pre made. In addition to saving money I also save a lot of time by using this

Another Symbol is the author s inner mystery and it represents the inner beauty that all women have. Men are also a part of symbolism in the poem. (Mauroni, America s Struggle with Chemical Biological Warfare, 2000) Tactics and methods used during the early stages of chemical warfare led to the development of significant improvements which included the modification of detector paper, the development of an specific 1 ВЅ inch long glass detector tube with silica gel absorbents, and enzyme tickets that changed color when expose to an agent. • 8. Why Marx s Social Theory Place So Much Emphasis On Class... Why does Marx s social theory place so much emphasis on class conflict and the economic aspects of society? Introduction There are many reasons why Marx s social theory places so much emphasis on class conflict and the economic aspects of society. Marx created his theory during a period of time where there was a large level of social change which led to modifications in the ways in which people worked (Morrison, 2012). This social change impacted his sociological thinking, encouraging him to explore topics such as materialism, alienation and surplus labour as a means of explaining reasons for the large levels of social change which this essay will go on to discuss. These topics all influenced his decision to place a lot of emphasis on class conflict and the economic aspects of society as it was a new and upcoming phenomena. Materialism Firstly, it could be argued that one reason why Marx places so much emphasis on class conflict and the economic aspects of society is because factors such as materialism could impact other areas of society. Morrision put forward the point that: Marx s break with Hegel s idealist philosophy which helped him devise a method that was suitable to the study of society and history which was formally outside philosophy [...] the introduction of materialism and the materialist outlook as a theoretical perspective for looking at the formation of historical societies. • 10. The Dangers Of The Atomic Bomb On August 6, 1945, at 8:15 am America released an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima in Japan, (Hersey 1). This action was done to put an end to World War II, and bring the soldiers of America back home. For many Americans, the dropping of the bomb meant nothing but to do what had to be done. The end results were not taken into account because there was no way to know what could happen when using new technology, (Okazaki). The results of the atomic bomb alone had a casualty rate of about 135,000 people, of that 66,000 died and 69,000 were injured, (The Atomic Bombings). Prior to the atomic bomb, Japan had already lost their a majority of their defense, only had their navy left and was nearly destroyed. From data, we were able to find out an equivalent to that bomb had more power than two thousands tons of TNT, (Hersey 49). The excessive amount of power did not help to solve anything, it only created a race for nuclear power, (The Cold War). The dropping of the Atomic bomb was an inhumane use of power and all countries should destroy the use of atomic power because it does not single out the enemies from Japan, but it also affects Japan s civilians in that area innocent or not. All within a few seconds, families and friends were torn from each other without a chance for any last words, all at the hands of the American people. The result of this action led very few people who were able to care for those who needed help because very few people were left uninjured. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They give out food and water and help provide shelters to those who have lost their homes. But it has only been in recent years after terrorist attacks on U.S. soil that Homeland Security has joined this group. This has increased suspicions towards why a group that was created to fight terrorists would need to be involved in aiding those who have been in an earthquake or flooding. FEMA has been hiding several truths from Americans who falsely believe... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... High Amount of Losses Unfortunately, FEMA already knows what most Americans don t. There will be a huge amount of casualties because so few people are prepared for a state of emergency to happen. Because of this, they are already prepared to bury thousands of people with a stash of coffins that they keep handy. Although this sounds cruel, it should be used as motivation for people to not expect FEMA to be their savior in case of a disaster. They have to be able to handle situations on their own instead. As you can see, this organization is highly motivated to work against the American people, not for them. That is why it is extremely important that people start preparing now for a possible crisis now. Foods that have a long shelf life and don t need refrigeration are the most important to have on hand. Freeze dried food can last for about 25 years, so it is the best to keep. But canned foods that can be easily heated up are also important in case there isn t enough water to rehydrate it. • 12. Greek Drama In Mr. Nobody Elements of Greek Drama in Mr. Nobody Summary Mr. Nobody is an amazing science fiction journey following Nemo Nobody. The movie might be confusing at first, but the pieces all start fitting together to show his multiple lives and experiences. Each life that Nemo goes through shows almost every possibility, every single thing that could go horribly wrong or beautifully right. (You should really watch this if you haven t, but I might be ruining it for you by writing this essay.) One can find Greek drama elements in almost every piece of literature or film, but Mr. Nobody can be a difficult film to discover these elements. Because of the purposeful confusion in the story it could be a struggle to link the true with fictional and find a specific element. This movie is though filled with Greek drama elements that help the story flow and make sense to the audience. The first noticeable element is the prologue where Nemo, the main character in this film, is a child narrating how his parents met and raised him. Before Nemo comes into the world, he is in a bright, cloudy room with many other children where they wait to get touched by angels so that they could forget the spiritual life before birth. • 13. Watch On The Bulge Research Paper Watch on the Rhine or The Battle of the Bulge as the American called it, was the Germans last major counter offensive in World War II to push the allied force out of northern France and into northwestern Belgium. The fighting force in the battle was 250,000 Germans which included 14 German infantry divisions guarded by four Panzer tank divisions against a mere 80,000 Americans. The first assault happened on December 16, 1944, on a thinly guarded 85 mile stretch from Echternach in the south to Monschau in the north in the Ardennes Mountains, called the Ghost Front. High commanding officers were read into the operation. Hitler moved his headquarter near a castle in Ziegenburg so he was about to keep a close, personal eye on the operation and set the date of December 16th for the attack to begin. Hitler briefed his division commanders himself and concluded by saying, This battle is to decide whether we shall live or die. I want all my soldiers to fight hard and without pity. As we continue to become more technologically advanced, the use of television will soon be a game changer. As we take a look back on the history of TV, we first started off the television industry with black and white pictures. Comparing Man s Search For Meaning And Logotherapy An Introspective Look at Frankl s Man s Search for Meaning and Logotherapy There is an old adage that implies that into every life, a little rain must fall, which suggests that some amount of suffering, be it miniscule or great, is an unavoidable part of every human being s existence. Undoubtedly, there are circumstances in one s life that are beyond his or her control. Circumstances that will cause one to question his or her very existence and pose the question Why me? Viktor Frankl experienced such an event when he was imprisoned in several Jewish concentration camps during the Holocaust. Frankl s novel, Man s Search for Meaning (2006), gives an account of Frankl s time spent in Jewish concentration camps. The Rawlsian philosophy was based on providing justice beyond maximizing the civil liberties. His idea difference principle was to make people equal by having a set of institutions that allocate the worst off individuals the maximum level of primary goods . He viewed, in this regard, primary goods as the goods necessary for the success of any life plan and hence ensuring an equal primary good bundles is a way of making a person responsible for his life plan choice. The other philosophers like Jensen (1969) and Herrenstein (1971) deduced in their papers that the existence of inequalityis due to differential intelligence of the individuals and hence rendering the society an equal income distribution is merely an imagination. Their views were contradicted by the other thinkers like Bowles (1973) and Colinsk (1974) who thought of the inequality as an outcome of unequal opportunity. However, it was Dworkin (1981), Arneson (1989) or Cohen (1989) who introduced the personal responsibilityinto the literature on equality. • 35. A Skin Disease Of Vitiligo I am going to be discussing a skin disease called vitiligo. This skin disease occurs when one s melanocytes, mature melanin forming cells, are ruined. Vitiligo is a disease that is not hard to recognize and can be found at several spots on the body. The most common places to find this disease would be on the hands, feet, around the mouth and eyes, and even around the genitalia. With some skindiseases, melanocytes are destroyed, and the production of melanin, a dark brown to black pigment that is found in the skin and is the reasoning for skin color, is simply just slowed down. This results in hypopigmentation, which is the loss of skin color, but not a total loss. Other skin diseases, such as vitiligo, have a complete absence of melanin. The depigmented skin color of someone with this disease is similar to that of one who suffers from albinism. The destruction of melanocytes can have three major causes in people with vitiligo. The first being that a patient with vitiligo has inherited three of the vitiligo genes, which has caused their melanocytes to destruct. The second being that the melanocytes themselves are different in a patient with vitiligo in relation to those without vitiligo. Melanocytes of a vitiligo patient compared to a person without vitiligo require a meticulous cultural condition and are more unstable around certain chemicals. The cells can even die when exposed to such factors. Vitiligo genes are prevented from acting in a normal fashion when they are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Preconceptions In The Blind Man If a blind person walked into the room, I would expect to see someone who looked feeble, wore dark glasses, used a cane, and potentially had a guide dog. The narrator of this story had similar preconceptions about the blind. Some of these preconceptions were that the blind move slowly and never laugh , sometimes [the blind are] led by seeing eye dogs , the blind man s life and marriage were unfulfilling because he was unable not see, and others that had to do with physical appearance and mannerisms. This blind man though breaks these stereotypes and much more. Conventional ideas about the blind are broken because of the way he was portrayed and helped to teach the narrator a lesson. The blind man, Robert, is an independent person. Throughout the story, he shows this through some of his actions, such as not using a cane and cutting his food without the help of the others at the table. He also portrays his independence through his stories when he talks about some of his past jobs such as a ham radio operator and an Amway distributor. Robert s independence helped to break many of the stereotypes that the narrator had in place which helped to change the narrator s life. One of these main lessons I believe was that there is a difference between physically seeing and perceptively seeing. Although Robert was not able to see things physically like the narrator, he was able to perceive things in a way that the narrator could not. This could be seen when it came to Robert and the narrator s wife. Even though the Robert was unable to see the narrator s wife, he could perceptively see her, understand her, and listen to her in a way the narrator was unable to. He understood her problems and poetry, and give her companionship in a way that the husband did not see that she needed. From the beginning of the story, the narrator gave the impression that he believed he was better than the blind man because he had physical sight. After realizing the blind man understood his wife more and during the last moments when the two of them drew a cathedral together, the narrator s perspective changed. In the evening, after a documentary aired on the television about Cathedrals, the narrator attempted to describe one to the blind ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Countermeasures and Prevention In order to ensure that ASDI s network is as secure as it can be, it is important to ensure that the logical structure is appropriate to facilitate a secure network. There were two experiments conducted for this study. The two experiments were called Experiment 1 and Experiment 2. The different groups that would be used during this study were called easy 100, easy 33, and difficult 100. The study has a few factors that are liable for the care of the problem behaviors which, falls into two classes such as escape behaviorwhich is controlled by negative reinforcement developments, and attention requesting behavior that is controlled by positive reinforcement developments. There is a decent amount of evidence that is said to believe that many of the children learn to produce problematic behaviors in the existence of aversive stimuli. It is seen that aversive stimuli are being used in everyday classroom settings. In these settings the instructional demands may be more frequent aversive stimuli and a range of different problematic behaviors such as aggression, self injury, and tantrums may serve as an escape behavior which, allows children to avoid what they were going to be participating in, in the classroom.
