Dead Sea Srolls Study Guide
1.What are some methodological issues scholars encounter studying the Hebrew Bible and the
histories of ancient Israel?
There are so many different variations of the same text that the story cannot be aligned with
assurance for some scholars. There are different perspectives regarding the same stories in history,
therefore they have been separated into their own collections of literature; such as canonization and
biblical text recognized by different sects. Not all of the Hebrew Bible was written in Hebrew, in
fact, some of the scriptures were written in Aramaic. Scholars also run into the issue with sources
by means of interpretation and preservation. Primary sources like the Dead Sea Scrolls are easier to
extract information from rather than archeological artifacts that are likely to be open to
interpretation.
2. What do multiple canons and collections of texts tell us about canonization? Why do scholars
consider canonization a process, not a moment? What is the significance of the Dead Sea Scrolls
and what do they tell us about textual traditions during the Second Temple period?
The canon books were prized text that was held in high regards to wisdom and history of the
culture. The content of these books was from the laws of Moses to the birth and death of humanity
and all that was in between, about a three thousand year timeframe. The preservation of these
scriptures including additions to, removal of, or any alterations to the text was guarded by the
authors, even

The Importance Of Western Culture And Punjabi Culture
A constant struggle of incorporating western mentality and remaining true to my Punjabi culture
has been at the root of many dilemmas throughout my life and has caused me to engender my
own set of values, which reflect a unique blend of western culture and Punjabi culture. As a future
marriage and family therapist who will be assessing a diverse population, I foresee this
amalgamation becoming an issue when I receive clients who come from a similar background and
have a certain expectation of what I should say, or when I receive clients who come from a
different background and have different values than I do. If one is not consciously aware of these
values and biases, then it is very likely that these concerns will impede the therapeutic relationship
and the work of the therapist. For instance, Punjabi culture emphasizes parents sacrificing their own
happiness for their children s happiness, which can be seen via parents not getting a divorce for a
child s happiness. I have seen the latter occur many times, even in instances where the parents
cannot stand one another. Growing up I understood this mentality, because I had witnessed my
American friends going through turmoil when finding out their parents were getting a divorce. At
the time, I believed that the parents were selfish, that they were not considering what this would do
to their child. Additionally, my familyhad also pushed forth this value in our home, even in
instances where my aunts were living with alcoholic

The Power Of The Great Powers Of Great Britain
Using Europe as essentially a blank tablet on which to create their own Balance of Power, the
Great Powers of Great Britain, Prussia, Austria, and Russia (with France, the defeated power,
playing a lesser role) re drew the map. There had been other pressing matters to settle: the rights of
German Jews, the abolition of the slave trade and navigation on European rivers, not to mention the
restoration of the Bourbon royal family in France, Spain and Naples, the constitution of
Switzerland, issues of diplomatic precedence and, last but not least, the foundation of a new
German confederation to replace the defunct Holy Roman Empire. Sensing that Napoleon was

some questions cannot be resolved diplomatically power. However, the Congress of Viennaended
peacefully, and laid the foundation of relative peace between the great powers of Europe for 40
years until the Crimean War of 1854 1856
The great victorious powers (Russia, Britain, Austria and Prussia) invited other states of Europe
to send plenipotentiaries to Vienna for a peace conference. There had been other urgent issues to

the foundation of a new German confederation to replace the late Holy Roman Empire. The root
of the crisis could, again, is in a failure of Congress system (and again in the Holy Alliance): the
omission of the Ottoman Empire of European peace. In 1830 Czartoryski, who was on the wrong

the conception of the most powerful monarchs of the continent (he referred in particular to Tsar
Alexander) diplomacy had corrupted and turned into poison.

Brunelleschi In Florence
What was the motivation that led to the discovery?
At the beginning of the 15th century, the leaders of the city of Florence decided that it was time
for them to solve a problem that they had been putting aside for decades. It was time for them to
fill the hole in their massive cathedral, Santa Maria del Fiore. The building of this cathedral began
in 1296 but it wasn t until 1418 when they started looking for the right architect for the job to build
the dome. They just didn t know how it could be done. Many architects came from all around
Florence to present their ideas. Filippo Brunelleschi s design ultimately won. Brunelleschi worked
as a goldsmith apprentice as a boy and mastered many other aspects of art. He had just spent

3d Printing And The 3d Printer s New Found Popularity...
In 1986 Charles Hull invented the 3D printer (Lewis). Hull s 3D printer has come a long way
since then, and in all those years 3D printing has finally shifted its way into the public eye. This
bout of fame and recognition for printers though is both a blessing as well as a curse. 3D printers
are finally being given the attention and appreciation they deserve; even President Obama saw their
potential when he gave a $30 million dollar grant to the National Additive Manufacturing
Innovation Institute in Ohio (Lewis). Unfortunately, the 3D printer s new found popularity comes
with a price. Like any budding young star the 3D printer is under constant scrutiny and has lost
some of the freedom it once had, freedoms like exemption from... Show more content on

Once one creative medium is given free reign from intellectual property laws, what excuse is there
not to make exceptions for all other creative mediums as well? Why should books, photographs,
sculptures, digital artwork, etc. all not be liberated from intellectual property laws as well?
Another fear, held by both companies and consumers alike, is the possibility of counterfeit
products. Individuals would have the power and opportunity to print and sell different products to
buyers who believe they are purchasing and paying for the original and genuine product. Those
who oppose leaving 3D printers unrestricted also anticipate that it could lead to intellectual property
laws being eradicated completely, as the government loses complete control over 3D printing all
together.
The current difference between all other creative mediums and 3D printers at this time is that all
the others are well established and known by the public throughout the world. 3D printing is still
so young, it was only in the 1980 s that engineers began to use 3D printers in their work
(Barnett). Most of the general public have only now begun to learn about the existence and
understand what a 3D printer is. Due to the fact that 3D printing is such a new and up and coming
technology, it still has a very long way to go development wise. 3D printers are far from being
perfect. In order for 3D printing to continue to expand though it needs to be nourished by both
creativity and freedom.

Obama Care Health Crisis
There have been many deaths going on around the United States and it has been caused by
people s health. Your health should be the main thing you are concerned about so if you haven t
already, you should go for a checkup. In 1980 healthcare expenditures were $256 billion,
according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. We become so involved in buying
fast foods when it is not good for the health. A serious illness can lead to financial ruin if you do
not have insurance. For those who do not have insurance can get Obamacare. It is the same as
Medicaid or Medicare but it is a great insurance program.

Some doctors would rather treat the multitude with policy and wealthy than people without.
According to fragmentation issues in the health care system, nearly 50% of wellness aid outlay
in the U.S. is publicly funded by Fed, State, and county floor governments through various
entitlement programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and the Veterans Administration (VA). The
result is a compartmentalized and fragmented system. This is also true in the buck private health
care sector, with over 1500 health insurers handling the private insurance market place, each
offering unique health policies that have different deductibles. Some people should take health
care more serious and take time out now to fix their problems. They may not think that nothing
is wrong with them but you must take the risk of finding out now than taking the risk of risking
your life. Take your life serious because the world we live in now is weird and many deaths
come from health problems. Take care of your health, go see a doctor and don t refuse medical
attention where you need it the most because a healthier body is a healthier you. The costs of
prescription drugs are rising even faster than the general rise in health care costs. Small businesses

My First Son Mutability
Poems during the renaissance age were used to show typical ideas from that era. One idea is
mutability. For example, Ben Jonson s On My First Son shows the theme of mutability, a very
common topic during the seventeenth century. This passage shows mutability in at least three
ways. First, the author states Farewell, thou child of my right hand, and joy , farewell is a term
that is used for goodbye. In this line the author is saying goodbye to his child who has died and
will no longer be with him. The author uses mutability to show the change from life to death.
Second, the author yet again uses mutability in the line And if no other misery, yet age? This line
shows mutability by age. Age is something that is always changing. The author

The Problem Of Reckless Driving
In the United States, Reckless driving is the number one cause of teenage death in the nation.
Reckless driving can be classified as anything from speeding and swerving, to purposely trying to
run someone over, or hurt them while driving. In America, there are countless organizations calling
to help end the high death rate in teenagers that reckless drivingtakes. People such as Parents,
Drivers Education Instructors and even state legislators have realized the problem and are
seeking reform. In 2011 alone 2,650 teens between the ages of 16 19 were killed due to reckless
driving. (CDC) Reckless driving is a death that is very preventable, with proper education and
warning. As well as problem that is not taken seriously by the juvenile s committing the act.
Most juveniles don t worry what so ever about dying in a car crash because they think that it won
t happen to them. Under Reckless Driving, in Green Bay, speeding, not paying attention and lack
of caring are three of the biggest issues with teen drivers and juveniles. In Wisconsin, Reckless
driving is classified under state statute 346.62 as causing bodily harm, or Great bodily harm.
(346.62 1ab) It is also states that No person may endanger the safety of any person or property by
the negligent operation of a vehicle. (346.62 2) Also that No person may cause bodily harm, or

Ziplock Bag Lab Report
Mass Conservation Within a Ziplock Bag
Question
Does a controlled (closed system) Ziplock bag experiment demonstrate the Law of Conservation of
Mass?
Claim
According to the Law of Conservation of Mass inside a controlled system, mass cannot be created
nor destroyed, only transformed. This statement is accurate, however, a human error occurred when
I performed this experiment. According to my data in the Ziplock bag experiment, the information
I collected did not support the Law of Conservation of Mass.
Evidence
Throughout the Ziplock bag experiment, the Law of Conservation of Mass was present in 50%
of the ten groups ( five out of the ten groups). To collect the mass of everything, the first direction
was to take the mass of the materials used in the experiment. For the Law of Conservation of Mass
to be activated, the Ziplock bag needed to be closed. If a gas was to be formed, no mass would be
created nor destroyed because in a closed or controlled system nothing is able to escape. Based
on the four pieces of data I collected in my data table, the mass of 75% of my data before and after
the experiment stayed the same. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
50% of the group s experiments did not follow the Law of Conservation of Mass because of
human error. For an explanation of why the mass was changed could be as easily explained as
not closing the Ziplock bag or not measuring the materials exactly. When I performed this
experiment, I did not add the correct weights together. Therefore, this resulted in the before and
after mass to not be equivalent and not following the Law of Conservation of Mass. For the 50%
of the experiments that did represent the Law of Conservation of Mass, the mass stayed the same
throughout the entire experiment. For example, Brooke and Lily s mass of their reactants was 32.3
grams. Likewise, after their experiment was performed the mass was also 32.3

Ostrom s Privatization Definition
Overall, Ostrom is critical of Hardin s approach in dealing with over exploited common resources
such privatization and government regulation. She is critical of the inflexibility of Hardin s model
and its pessimistic outlook for the future (Ostrom et al., 1999). Moreover, it has become evident
that common pool resources, such as overfishing, are difficult to address. Ostrom, argues that for
the past two decades the approaches taken to address common pool resources, many following
Hardin s model, have not been successful in addressing negative externalities and in some cases
have induced further damages (Ostrom,2008). One of the arguments Ostrom would make would be
against privatization and government regulation of fisheries. Ostrom, makes clear that privatization
of open access resources is often inefficient (Ostrom et al., 1999).... Show more content on

Privatization would address these issues on a broad scale with standard regulations that would not
take into consideration underlying conflict experienced by the poorer users of the common
resource (Ostrom et al., 1999). Instead, management of these resources should be site specific,
where some fishery communities would benefit from self organized monitoring and implementation
(Ostrom et al., 1999). For instance, the government intervention for northern cod in Canadian
waters had a disproportionate impact on local fishers, who established local rules, yet government
intrusion caused a collapse to the fishery market and outside fishers didn t suffer the consequences
as heavily as the locals, causing higher poverty rates and unemployment (Ostrom,

Red Dog Film Analysis
The world is a funny place, no? Sometimes you pick your dog. Sometimes your dog picks you.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen for the AFC, and the quote you have just heard is from the
Australian film Red dog and is stated to be one of the most powerful quotes in Australian theatre.
Australian film has been around for many years and of those years there have been many
examples of what some might like to call a masterpiece. Some of these films include the Mad Max
series, Gallipoli, Crocodile Dundee but of these films, the filmthat stands out the most to
audiences is the movie Red dog. Red dog is directed by Australian producer Kriv Stenders and
was made in 2011. The story takes place during the 1970 s so one would expect to view various
counts of racism and sexism but there was no evidense of these themes ever showing as the
dialogue had been written for a G rating. It was as if the whole production has had its mouth
washed out with soap by there mother for cursing. The reason this film was successful to most
was because of the message it portrayed as the movie was based around a young Australian
Kelpie named Red dog and how he united a fractured community while searching for his master.
The movie is highly regarded today as of the best Australian films as it brings all Australian values
to the table. The main reason for the audiences love for this film is because of its portrayal of a
character s loyalty, mateship and the Australian Landscape and this is what occurs throughout the
film.
Mateship is a big part of Australian culture as us as Australians live and breathe the words of
friendship and that is why this film is so successful, because it brought an un unlikely hero and
made the character bond with an entire town. As Australians, we love a good animal story and
due to the bond between the main character John and his companion Red dog was so strong it
was as if the pair were inseparable. The Australian notion of mateships is portrayed in the film
when the character Joko is talking about the type of man that should have a statue for all to admire
as he states It should be somebody who lives and breathes desolation, somebody that has red dust
stuck up their nose and in their eyes and in their ears

Introduction Of An Inventory Control Method
I.Introduction to Just in Time
When discussing just in time most people will focus on its initial position as an inventory control
method that attempts to match production as closely to sales as possible. This system attempts to
do this by producing or purchasing items just in time to be used, and thereby minimize the cost of
holding inventory (Lee Ebrahimpour, 2007; Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, 1995). One
expert has stated that just in time seeks to produce and deliver finished goods just in time to be
sold, sub assemblies just in time to be assembled into finished goods, fabricated parts just in time
to go into subassemblies, and purchased materials just in time to be transformed into fabricated
parts. In its most pure sense, just in time, seeks to have zero defects, zero machine setup times,
zero re work, and zero lead time, from the time an order is placed with the company until the
product is shipped to the purchaser (Lee Ebrahimpour, 2007). In this pure just in time inventory
system, once raw materials enter the production facility they are not recorded or inventoried until
they leave as a finished good (Epps, 1995).
The concept of just in time was first established in the 1950 s by T. Ohno, the former executive
Vice Present of the Toyota Motor Company in Japan, to meet the precise demands of customers
for various models and colors of cars with a minimum delay (Swanson Lankford, 1998; Keller
Kazazi, 1993). Ohno himself has stated that his ideas were

Separation of Powers Essay
Ange Miller
Separation of Powers essay
American National Government 6
Professor: Aimellia Siemson
The concept of separation of governmental powers is an essential principle to our democracy. The
Separation of Powers devised by the framers of the Constitution was designed to do one primary
thing: to prevent the majority from ruling with an iron fist, so the framers shied away from giving
any branch of the new government too much power. There were three branches created within the
Constitution the Legislature, Executive, and Judicial, each of which have a distinct function and
fine lines separating them. (1)
The Legislative Branch is composed of the House and Senate, The Executive, is composed of the
President, Vice President, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(3) The executive branch makes sure people follow the laws that the legislative branch makes.
The leaders of this branch are the President and Vice President. When making important
decisions, the President often asks for advice from a group of 15 helpers, known as the Cabinet.
When people are unsure about the meaning of a law, the judicial branch listens to many opinions
and makes a decision. The judicial branch is made up of courts and the highest of these courts is
the U.S. Supreme Court and is made up of 9 judges. Courts decide arguments about the meaning
of laws, how they are applied, and whether they break the rules of the Constitution. (2) Of the
more than 7,500 cases that are sent to the Supreme Court each year, only about 80 to 100 cases are
actually accepted. (3)
The doctrine of Separation of Powers was adopted by the convention of 1787, in the words of
Justice Louis D. Brandeis, not to promote efficiency but to preclude the exercise of arbitrary power.
The purpose was not to avoid friction, but, by means of the inevitable friction incident to the
distribution of the governmental powers among three departments, to save the people from
autocracy. (1)

The Basic Ideas Of The Science Of Mind
Practical Philosophy
However, today we find increasing numbers of scientific men emerging from that age of
materialism. This is due to the fact that modern science has not theoretically been able to resolve
the material universe into purely mechanical energy, but has discovered that the smallest particles
which it supposes to exist exercise a sort of volition, which of course leaves room for freedom.
Once you establish freedom and volition as an operating factor in connection with the energy which
becomes form, then you have established a universe of consciousness. And once you establish a
universe of consciousness you establish the possibility of communion, and arrive at a logical basis
for faith, prayer, the religious and the mystical life.
The Basic Ideas of the Science of Mind, pg. 91
The fact that science has not yet been able to attribute the existence of the material universe to a
purely mechanical energy, does not mean that it won t be able to. In fact, since the late 1950s,
when Holmes wrote about this, most scientists have come to believe that they have in fact,
theoretically resolved everything to a mechanical and mathematically verifiable principle of
motion. We may still ask What (or Who) set things in motion, but such a question brings the
discussion out of the realm of science into the speculative disciplines of philosophy and religion.
It is like asking why of that which simply is and does. It is a fair question, but not one that can be

Herbal Medicine In Native American Medicine
Advanced medicine has it s advantages, but the medicine today mimics the characteristics of
plants used to help people way before man made treatments. Herbal remedies don t have many of
the side effects drugs have today. Looking into the roots of herbal medicine can make modern
medicine more effective, safer, and healthier for generations to come. Native Americans before they
were exposed to modern medicineand technology, only relied on plant based medicine. The Sumac
tree was used often in Native American culture for both food and health remedies. The Sumac is
native to temperate and subtropical zones and it was grown in North America. It was seen as a
sacred plant that helped improve the lives of the Native Americans. The parts that were usually
used were the root bark, leaves, and berries ( Herbal Medicine ). Sumac was very versatile in that
it helped with many health issues the Native Americans often faced. The active properties the plant
contained were Calcium malate, Dehydro Fisetin, Fisetin, Iodine, Gallic acid methyl ester, tannic
and gallic acids, Selenium, and Tartaric acid (Jackson, Deb, and Karen Bergeron. Sumac (Rhus
Glabra) ). Usually the infusion of the bark and roots held most of these helpful qualities. The
mixture itself acted as an astringent, antiseptic, alterative, and a tonic ( Sumac ) . The berries on the
other hand are used mainly for bowel complaints.

Racism and Anti-Semitism in the United States Today
Racism and Anti Semitism in the United States Today
Racism and anti Semitism are both still serious issues in the United States today. There are many
people who would choose to disagree with this idea, however. They would argue that legislation to
protect people has removed any kind of race related tensions, but it does not appear that this is
actually the case. In order to address the issue thoroughly and comprehensively, it is important to
discuss the researcher s reasons for believing that racism and anti Semitism are both still causing
difficulties for many people in the US during the present day. Until clear knowledge of the issue
is gained, it is not possible to adequately combat the problem and take steps to improve relations.
The first reason that racism and anti Semitism are still being seen today is from ignorance. The
beliefs of people based on their religions and how they were raised are often very focused on
what they were taught when they were young. As they age, they do not choose to move forward
and attempt to learn more about others and the world around them (McVeigh, 2004). Because they
are not interested in seeing other people as equals, or because they do not want to expand upon
what they have learned and see how others may feel differently than they do, they simply avoid
focusing on anything that is not what they have already been taught or shown. Until individuals
can receive better education on race relations from an early age, and until they are

Marxist, Feminist, and Reader response criticism, Shelly conveys different meanings in

When Justine is framed for the murder of William Frankenstein, both she and Victor know she is

Shelley uses Victor s independence to help show a feminist lens. Because Victor seeks to procreate
without benefit of a female partner, We can assume that this is in order to emphasize how passive
women were in the 17th century by saying Victor feels more productive creating life through
science than with a woman. Shelly uses the feminist lense to make women in the future less passive

Objections To The Adminstrative Process Theory
Croley faces many objections to his administrative process theory. Some objections are in defense
of the public choice theory while others seek to disprove the administrative theory itself. Despite the
outcome of these arguments, Croley seeks to emphasize publically interested regulation is a
possibility according to the administrative process theory and that under the right circumstances it
will prevail. The main claim being there is more not less to the story of regulationthan legislative
control and interest group influence, notwithstanding the inordinate explanatory weight these
factors are usually thought to carry. An initial objection uses the basic argument that a few cases of
regulation successfully advancing the public interest does not undermine the public choice theory.
This theory, known as the straw theory, puts forth the idea that regulation does not always end with
interest groups receiving regulatory rents, but does enough times to draw attention to the
efficiency of the regulation process. The theory should be able to incorporate these few cases.
Croley responds in this case first by explaining the conceptual criticism of the theory would remain
regardless of the analyses of the cases in this particular circumstance. Furthermore, if the theory
were to accommodate those few successful examples of regulation it would not have predictive or
explanatory power because of its inability to rule out any regulatory outcomes. In this case, the

The Influence Of Radical Feminism On Law
Feminist thought has influenced many different arenas of life. One of the most prominent streams
is radical feminism, that seeks to eradicate patriarchy in the United States and implement a system
of law that favors women because of their former state of oppression. Patriarchy, or the oppression
of women by men, is the cornerstone of feminist campaigns. This paper covers three distinctive
influences that radical feminismhas had on law in the United States. Radical feminism has
influenced pornography, abortion, and employment law as for the crusade for women s rights. The
regulation of pornography has led to questions on freedom of expression and government
intervention into business. Abortion, one of the most controversial issues, has almost... Show more

The idea of patriarchy is a key concept in the discussion on feminism. Patriarchy, in its most basic
sense is the domination of men over women in every aspect of society, both civil and legal.
Furthermore, an article by Lynne Henderson adequately describes what patriarchy is and its
connection to the legal realm, Thus, feminists concerned about law often frame the issues in terms
of law s relation to patriarchy. Although patriarchy technically refers to families ruled by a senior
male patriarch, it more generally refers to systematic domination and subordination of females by
males. Moreover, patriarchy can be seen as a driving force that rallies feminists around women s
rights. Patriarchy is crucial to understanding feminism with its desire for legal reform, and the
elimination of patriarchy. Owen M. Fiss describes the reality of the oppression that radical feminists
believe still exist, They [feminists] do not condemn discrimination solely because it entails unfair
treatment to some identifiable individuals, but rather because of its role in subordinating women as
a group and thus creating and perpetuating a gender

The Soweto Uprising of 1976 an education Related Outcry by...
A system of legal separation amongst races dominated the Republic of South Africa, namely
apartheid between 1948 until 1993. Apartheid led to the separation and discrimination between
whites against people of colour. Not only was this racism commonly accepted between whites
against blacks, but it was also legally enforced as white s maintained priority in terms of housing,
education, political power and jobs. I will be examining a particular event, The Soweto Uprisingof
1976 which was an education related outcry by students. This event carries with it a great deal of
importance as it was a very powerful thing to impact South Africaand help in the deconstruction of
the Apartheid government.

reported that around fifty armed policemen stopped the students in an attempt to send them back.
Initially the policemen tried (but failed) to disperse the crowds by means of warning shots fired
and tear gas. The situation however took a severe turn as policemen instead began firing shots
directly into the crowd. While some students attempted to fight back by means of throwing stones,
many simply ran for cover.
Two students lost their lives from police gunfire that day, Hastings Ndlovu and Hector Pieterson
while hundreds of other students were treated for various degrees of injury during this outrageous
chaos that swarmed Soweto. These shootings lead to the almighty uprising that spread to over 100
urban and rural areas all around South Africa.
An iconic photograph taken by Sam Nzima of a dying Hector Peterson was published in various

My Pre Conference With Mrs. Andruska
The purpose of my pre conference with Mrs. Andruska was to establish a rapport with her, to learn
about her teaching style, procedures, and upcoming lesson, and to collaboratively set a goal for the
lesson I would be observing.
When asking my first questions to Mrs. Andruska in our pre conference, it became clear that she
prides herself on providing highly effective instruction for all of her students. I asked her about the
areas of her instruction that she takes pride in, and where she believes her biggest strengths are.
She explained that she prides herself on incorporating a variety of music education methodologies
into her teaching. These methodologies include Orff, Kodaly, and Dalcroz, all of which Mrs.
Andruska has studied and obtained certifications in. Her attention to detail in her lesson design,
preparation, and organization was evident when discussing the lesson I would be observing.
I asked Mrs. Andruska the following questions in an attempt to learn more about any instructional
challenges she is facing in her classroom:
How have things been going in your classroom?
Can you tell me about some areas that you are finding success?
My goal is to offer you guidance that will help your teaching to improve. Are there any areas you
feel we should focus on?
4. How will you know if all students are understanding the lesson?

Tribal Relations Between The United States Essay
Introduction
Tribal relations to the United States are similar to that of a ward and his guardian. This sentiment
was proclaimed in 1831 in Cherokee Nation V. Georgia. The United States has been attempting to
integrate Native populations into the American systems since the first settlements arrived from
across the sea. Original tribal status was that of dependent domestic nations 1. Recent history has
changed the status of Native America to one of self determination and sovereignty. This status was
not determined by the US Constitution as Native Tribes were sovereign people before
Colonialization. The Unites States solidified the direct relationship between the Native Nations and
the Federal Government with the Indian Commerce Clause of 1879. The Commerce Clause
allowed Congress alone the power to regulate commerce between the United States and the Indian
tribes.2 The Marshall Trilogy, Chief Justice Marshall s Supreme Court cases designated the limits
of tribal sovereignty for the Native populations being surrounded by the newly formed United
States of America. In the first case, Johnson v. M Intosh, the Court recognized Indian nations do not
have a right to enter into treaties without federal approval.3 In Cherokee Nation v. Georgia, Chief
Justice Marshal defined the Indian nations as domestic dependent nations. 4 In the final case,
Worcester v. Georgia, the Supreme Court recognized the Native nation s right to self govern
releasing any control by the States

WARNING: The following includes course language, viewer discretion is advised
Everyday from the moment we wake up, we live our lives caring what other people think of us.
We accept the status quo for what it is because everyone around us does.
We tip toe our way through life by doing things in order to please others, not because it s what we
believe in. Eventually our actions, appearances, and lives become molded by how we think other
people perceive us.
Wow I can t wear this dress people are going to think I m fat. I can t talk to so and so because
everyone would get mad at me. If I did this what would my friends think of me, what would they

Ahhh just saying those sentences gives me a headache. It is hard enough taking care of yourself
let alone trying to impress every other person in this world. Having to live up to society and other
peoples ideals of how you should be or how you should do things, its dreadful.
Now, while not giving a fuck may seem simple on the surface, its a whole new can of beans in real
life. What I m trying to say is that we are all going to struggle with these things on a day to day

Globalization And Convergence Of Us.gaap Ifrs Standard As...
There is a clear roadmap to social globalization and convergence of US.GAAP IFRS Standard as
prescribed by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) for users that set up financial
statements in accordance with IFRS as issued by IASB. This followed would lead to a
worldwide adoption of IFRS over the next few years. In his work, Barry (2009, p.26 27) states,
The advantage of a single set of financial reporting standards are manifest, particularly as
internationalization of business activities became the norm. In particular, having uniform, high
quality standards has been extolled as fostering international business relationships, with the goal
being the facilitation of cross border capital flows and lowering the cost of capital _ the
expected results of the anticipated reduction of perceived accounting risk . It has been argued
that uniform financial reporting standards will result in lowered cost of capital, where investors
will be willing to accept lower returns interest from their investment in corporate securities. This
will be achieved when the riskiness of their investment is reduced to the acceptable level. To
improve an investors confidence, the SEC provides domestic registration of foreign entities and
reconciliation to U.S. GAAP from respective national GAAP. This means that IFRS has gained a
much broader acceptance even in the European Union especially when the EU imposed the IFRS

Summary Of The Hurt Locker By Brian Turner
Opening the Hurt Locker In the poem The Hurt Locker the author Brian Turner, an Iraq war
veteran, describes war how he views war after taking an active role in it. Several members of our
class suggest that the final message of the Hurt Locker is duty versus morality. I agree to a certain
extent, but I think there is a much bigger conflict with the author and the outside world. The author
urges the reader to see warfor what it really is. In his poem Turner says, Believe it when you see it
(2005). To me, this line is like an invitation to the readers to experience what war is like first
hand. He wants people to see that there is much more to war than what people see on television
or read in the paper. He also uses very descriptive language to describe some of the events that
happened during this particular war. One example is when Turner says, Believe it when a
twelve year old boy rolls a grenade into a room (2005). There is a certain shock value to this line
that is meant to play on the reader s emotions. The author specifically uses the word rolls in this
line which is striking because that s a word that is usually associated with play, like when you say
to a child, Roll the ball to me. Generally speaking, when thinking... Show more content on

This is the line where I think the author s main message comes across the most clear. The author
never tells us what the hurt locker is. The meaning of the hurt locker can be interpreted many
different ways, but I think the hurt locker is like another part of the war that the outside world
does not see. While watching the news or reading the newspaper, people do not learn about the
things that Turner describes in his poem and I think that was the author s motivation behind writing
this poem. I think the author wants us to not only learn about what the war is really like, but to
also ask our own

Aphorism Analysis
The air of heaven is that which blows between a horse s ears (Arabian Proverb). The exhilarating
feel of mane in my hands, four beats moving gracefully under me, and the breathtaking wind that
soon rushes by prove the great and true wisdom captured in this aphorism. Horses are as much a
part of my identity as my own name. No feeling in the world approaches the euphoria I feel when
I am one with the horse, appreciating the rhythmic movement of such a powerful animal as we
soar over a jump. I am never so at peace as when I am with the horse, feeling its soft nose on my
shoulder or its dynamic motion under me. Horses occupy my everyday daydreams and my greatest
aspirations. However, I completely suppressed the acknowledgement of this passion... Show more

However, when I introduced the topic of horseback riding in conversation as a child, both peers
and adults conveyed horseback riding to be a waste of time and an undemanding and inferior
pursuit. I deemed it necessary to conceal this passion after observing insults and unkind judgements
directed towards another girl in my grade who shamelessly advertised her love of horses. It became
exhausting to justify myself to people who repeatedly asked why I practice riding if I just sit
there. I learned to refrain from introducing the topic, if I was to justify to others that I participated
in worthwhile activities. While my bedroom exhibited copious numbers of horse drawings, horse
figurines, and even a wall decal, I strictly avoided showing anything to my peers that characterized a
fascination with horses.
Internally, I am not embarrassed or ashamed of my love for horses because I have experienced
the value of it firsthand, and know that the people whose judgements I feared have likely not. I
have had the opportunity to meet many horses since I began riding, and have learned from each.
My time with the horses is something that I would never exchange for anything. However,

J. M. Barrie, the author of Peter Pan, said: To die would be an awfully big adventure. I believe it
would be. I have had many experiences with almost dying. I have had many experiences where
my life had flashed before my eyes. April 4th, 2014, I almost died 27 times. On that date, I looked
death right in the face, and laughed at it.
In the summer, I was supposed to go to a girls camp for my church. There were a few requirements
we had to pass off before going. One of them was a 3 mile hike and a camping trip. We decided to
hit 2 birds with 1 stone. So we set a date to go camping with the girls who were going to camp.
There were about 16 girls who decided they would go. We set off on our 1 night trip on April
4th, 2014. It started off normal. A regular trail through the woods. The path started to get thinner
and thinner as we walked on it. We then got to a part where we had to go over a log that was
partly hanging over a chasm. I peered over the edge to see thousands of sharp rocks and a large
pool of rushing water. After 3 girls had gone over the log safely, it was my turn. I slowly put my
right leg over the enormous log. I had made sure to steady myself before putting my left leg over.
After I had done so, I threw my left leg over and sat on the log. Then I put my right foot on the
ground. I thought I was safe, but my left foot s, shoelace got caught on the rugged wood. I pulled
with force, but that was a bad idea. I got it undone, but that force threw me off balance

Street Children
INTRODUCTION
One of the miseries brought by the modern civilization is the situation of the street children. In
the old times, and still now in some areas, children worked with their parents and reamed a lot of
things from them; later, children looked after aged parents, and therefore much value was put on
children, and there was strong bond of affection between parents and child. However, now it has
changed. Parents go to work, and children do not go to work with them. Children only cost much
money for food and education. Parents of a poor family are suffering from much financial stress.
As the stress becomes bigger, their love for their children decreases. Then, a home, which should
be a place children receive affection, becomes a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eighteen outreach workers were recruited and assigned to fifteen cities. These workers did referrals,
conducted actual outreach on the streets, conducted interviews, made initial contact with families or
elatives, and prepared initials diagnosis and action plans. In Manila and Davao City, MSSD
provided temporary shelter, intake, counseling and referral services through drop in centers.
Reception and action centers run by two city governments receive street children picked up by
police for various offenses. Under the City of Man concept of the former First Lady Imelda
Marcos, street children were regarded as nuisance and eyesore, they had to be eliminated from the
street. Temporary shelter, counseling and value inculcation seminars with families were made
available. However, these efforts provided little impact on their situation. Most of them went back
on the street after their release form the shelter since they had no other alternative to earn a living.
From 1984 to 1990 two networks of non government social development agencies were organized
for advocacy, capability building and coordination. These agencies supported rehabilitation
programs for street children and prevention programs that helped deter child trafficking. The first
programs started with a committee of five agencies, under the Council of Welfare Agencies of the

The rapid changes taking place in emerging markets, combined with the fact that existing fixed line
networks are often underdeveloped, offer persuasive reasons to believe that systems will be
developed that can facilitate wealth creation and genuinely transform people s lives in the poorest
parts of the region. Ultimately, the evolution of mobile payments systems has the potential to allow
global organisations to access a far wider market, including people in previously hard to access
locations. The caveat is, of course, that issues of trust, security and affordability also need to be
overcome. This report explores the recent developments in the context of these significant
challenges. Mobile payments are necessitating new forms of interaction between telecoms
companies, financial institutions, software and content providers. As in any supply chain, it is
important to understand the processes and security capabilities of other parties in the relationship.
It is even more important when potentially sensitive or personal information is flowing between
these parties. Ultimately, the adoption of mobile payments will therefore depend on, and be driven
by, consumer confidence. In this respect, all of the participants within each respective business
model needs to share some responsibility for its successful adoption. seung Hwan (sean) choi

By sharing these valence electrons, it creates a full electron shell. o Demonstration: H2O, the water
molecule is the perfect example of how covalent bonding uses valence electrons to create a full

can have two more electrons. Therefore, two hydrogens bond with that one oxygen, to ensure its

Attitudes Toward Native Americans In The Age Of Discovery
There were many different policies and attitudes of European Americans toward Native Americans
in the age of Discovery. The responses of the various nations of Native Americans to the arrival of
Europeans after 1492, and the manner in which they dealt with their presence, varied differently
from one group to another. Responses to encounters between both groups depended on cultural
characteristics, or on the economic and political circumstances which they found themselves in.
Just as there was no universal Indian response to the encounter there were also many significant
differences in the ways the Europeans and others approached the natives whose land they were
intent on occupying. Europeans having arrived in the New World were there in search for the
path to riches and the latter not caring who was going to be harmed or whose property was
destroyed in the process for their own selfish greed. A brief comparison of various encounters
between several Native American nations and European settlers of various periods will demonstrate
the series of fundamental factors that had an impact of the relationships between the various
groups. There was however, one universal characteristic among the Europeans which was that all
Europeans of whatever social origin considered themselves superior to the Native Americans and

Socratic Method In Law School
Law students and Lawyers are trained to be insensitive for a number of reasons. For starters the
environment the law student, or lawyer, experiences either in law school or in their ideal practice,
warrants competition. With competition comes aggression and hostility. In an environment like
that, insensitivity is second nature. At that point, insensitivity becomes an innate ability that you
will carry with you throughout the rest of your law school experience and so forth. The latter is
rooted in the idea of the Socratic method, the I ask a question, you answer, and I attack the validity
of your entire response ordeal, which most schools have adopted into their institutions. The latter is
displayed in the movie by Kingsfield as he addressed his class in the beginning and told them that
he would be using the Socratic method throughout the course of the semester. By using this method,
it improves the reaction time, the analytic response, and improves the targeted party s critical
thinking ability regarding hypotheticals. Not only that, it prepares the law student, and lawyer,
mentally and emotionally for the adversarial process. According to The Princeton Review (2017),
in a best case scenario, the Socratic method successfully derails a properly prepared student by
challenging their initial premises in the hopes of adverting the targeted individual s attention to the
bigger picture (The Princeton Review, 2017). Take the movie for example, Hart was not prepared

The Deep Oceanic Trenches Near Thermal Vents
Objective:
How to find evidence of life in deep oceanic trenches near thermal vents
Introduction:
Deep ocean trenches are environments that have historically been shrouded in mystery, their
inaccessibility rendering such limited explorations as net dragging and dredging for samples (Lee,
2012). While potential for chemosynthesis had been proposed as long ago as 1890, it was nearly a
century later before such systems were demonstrated to be active on the ocean floor (German,
2011). Further investigation has shown that ecosystems are surviving and thriving along the ocean
floor within these trenches. Studies have shown that deep ocean trenches contain ecosystems that
are biologically and geologically active, producing a high diversity of organisms that must
withstand a variety of environmental changes (Anderson et al., 2014). Recent explorations have
confirmed new forms of life in deep ocean trenches. Life discovered in such an extreme
environment is call for investigation.
We will analyze 5000 grab samples from the deep oceanic trenchto determine if the samples are
dead, alive, or have never had life. We are attempting to create a picture of what life is like on the
bottom of the ocean. To figure this out, we will categorize these samples, determining what has/had
life and never has. In all cases, wherever there are chemically reduced compounds present,
microbial activity is enhanced (German, 2011). Deep sea trenches are underwater vents to the core

The Pros And Cons Of Independent Movies
In recent years, the film industry has drastically changed. I remember when I was little, I
thought independent films and documentaries were weird things that only hippies watched.
Now, more and more people adore independent films. Although indie flicks do not have the
budget of blockbuster films, they do have a unique chance to explore what lies beyond
Hollywood norms. Instead of the same directors and mangers deciding what will entertain the
masses, these videos allow creators to reach a more targeted audience. For example, one may
make a video about the bad conditions of meat factories and share it on Facebook among
vegetarian groups. A movie that narrow in audience would never reach it to the theaters. Also,
independent movies explore what makes a movie good and defy the cutter cookie plots of major
pictures. One particularly great, acclaimed indie movie was The Babadook. This movie had a
very slow build and an unsettling ending, both of which are not common in megamovies. The
norms of television shows are being tested as well. Similarly to HBO, Netflix produces content
of its own instead of relying on television networks. This freedom lets it create controversial
material, such as a show called Dear White People. The company describes the show as a
journey of students of color [who] navigate the daily slights and slippery politics of life at an Ivy
League college that s not nearly as post racial as it thinks. One can imagine that popular networks,

Period Of Unrest In Canada Essay
The Period of Unrest in Canada After WWI
The after effect of the war was not what the European and North American countries expected, the
war concluded with Canadian citizens in a displeased and agitated state. The First World War was
extremely significant to Canada because it was their first major battle in which they were
triumphant and gained independence. However, the country did not foresee the difficulties that
accompanied the war. As a result, the end of WWI led to a period of negative conditions in Canada
due to the banning of alcohol, rising government debt, and increasing unemployment.
Canadian soldiers consumed alcohol to intoxicate themselves, which allowed them to forget their
issues and move on, however, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The war industries closing down led many men to unemployment, several undesirable
conditions and post war labor unrest. A man who survived the great depression stated, As a
young man, I lived through the Great Depression, when banks failed and so many lost their jobs
and homes and went hungry. I was fortunate to have a job at a canning factory that paid 25 cents
an hour (Faust James). This quote shows the atmosphere during the great depression with high
rates of unemployment and bankruptcy. James Faust was grateful that he at least had a job that
paid him 25 cents per hour, showing the requisite for men to provide for their families in any
way possible. However, they were beginning to become restless about their conditions and
started to act up against their government. On May 1919, the Winnipeg General strike took
place, and was known as Canada s best known general strike. 30,000 workers left their jobs and
began to demand 85 cents per hour, 8 hour workdays and the right to collectively bargain. The
strike then ended on Bloody Saturday , when the government arrested the leaders of the strike and a
riot formed in Winnipeg (Reilly Nolan). This was significant because of the attention that was
drawn to the social and economic problems of the workers. Thus forth, the unemployment for men
led to severe poverty and frustration that caused a period of unrest in

Importance of Military Bearing Military bearing is the root in which every soldier practices in
order to carry out good discipline and ethics throughout ones military career. Army regulations and
soldiers on our own creed illustrate how a military service member should conduct themselves on a
daily basis, on and off duty. Loyalty, duty, respect, commitment, honor, punctuality, reliable,
integrity, and personal courage are Army core values. Courage is the ability to stand up for ones
beliefs and ethics that the Army has been bestowed on them, despite the danger they may face on
duty. Courage which is the result of training and discipline is the kind upon which the control of
men in battle is based. With such courage, the man when facing... Show more content on

Iron Curtain Research Paper
The Iron Curtain was the name for this boundary that divided Europe into two separate areas
which lasted from 1945 until the end of the Cold War in 1991. The Iron Curtain ended open contact
with the rest of Europe and the West and defined the Cold War.
In addition to the ongoing confrontations in Europe, there were also other hostilities in which the
United States and the Soviet Union found themselves on opposite sides. From 1945 to 1949 there
were several confrontations in Asia. Chinese Communists defeated the Kuomintang in a civil war,
and then China negotiated a 10 year treaty of alliance and aid with the Soviets. The United States
opposed this. Then the United States occupied southern Korea at the end of World War II and the
Soviets responded by occupying northern Korea. Shortly after the Korean War ended, the
communists in Viet Nam (Viet Minh) announced their independence from France. This led to war
with France which later turned into the Vietnam War; again the United States and the Soviet Union

Perestroika was important in ending the cold war. It was an economic reform in the U.S.S.R.

glasnost was introduced to the Soviets. Glasnost was a political reform. It encompassed
dismantling the police state that was central to the Soviet Union s control and dramatically
reducing their military commitments outside of its borders. In 1989, during the time of glasnost,
the Berlin Wall was torn down by protesters. This wall had divided Germany into 2 parts (free

Reasons Of Quiting Youth Sports
Too Intense, Too Young These days, youth sports are pretty intense for many reasons. Some of
these reasons are even causing kids to quit sports. Many athletes suffer injuries at a young age.
Athletes sometimes quit because coaches and parents take the fun out of it. There is more and
more pressure to play one sportyear round. Playing a sport all year round is giving you an
advantage over many other people you usually play sports with. Your abilities to do that sport will
increase dramatically, and will be easier on you in your school sport season. Sports are a thing kids
love these days, but, to some kids, playing every week of the year is too much for them. If it is a
sport you love, it is worth playing all year round, if it is not, then you are making your kids suffer.
Because... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, some people support youth sports being intense. Since the parents do not have
the guts to do it themselves, they want the coaches to do it. Parents allow this because they do
not want to be the ones to take their child s confidence away, they want to be as supportive as
possible. Also, parents make their kids do competitive sports just because they want them to get
noticed. According to Detroit Free Press, parents put a lot of time into their kids sports and they
automatically think that if they put all of the time in, they will see a light at the end of the tunnel in
the form of a scholarship (www.freep.com). That does not happen that easily. You have to earn your
scholarships by working hard, not just because you think you deserve one without doing anything.
At some point, parents will think that their kids need to push themselves to their limits so they can
get noticed by college coaches. If kids do this all the time, overuse

King Leopoldto Imperialism
During late 1880s, King Leopold the II of Belgium began the colonization of the then largely
unexplored Congo Basin. The main characteristics of colonialism can be examined by discussing
Belgian expansionism through King Leopold s Congo. It is not the main events or the most
influential world leaders at this period in history that I wish to consider. Rather, analyzing the
nature of Belgian colonialismthrough the colonization of the Congo. In particular, I will focus on
three main issues: (1) the political motives; (2) the cultural values; and (3) economic upheaval.
From the beginning of his rule of Belgiumin 1831, King Leopold I had a desire to gain power and
prestige, as well as compete with other countries. After an unsuccessful search... Show more content

In addition to a desire to compete with other countries during the land grab, King Leopold also
had a desire to make money and expand foreign trade. During this time Europeans wanted to
acquire raw materials and cheap labor, both of which Africa supplied. Leopold was now faced
with financial issues he had secured much of the land through excessive spending, but in order to
take advantage of the trade opportunities he had to find more funding. In order to secure funds for
the continuation of his colonization, King Leopold approached the Belgian Parliament. He
promised Parliament that if they gave him a loan, he would leave the Congo to the government in
his will. Leopold managed to get the loan the basis of his philanthropic work. This enabled him to
take advantage of the trade within the Congo. Belgium now had the monopoly on the rubber trade,
but it came with a price. The human toll that the rubber industry had on the Congo devastated the
population. Despite the economic benefits that the Congo had for the country of Belgium
specifically Leopold, it was short lived. Eventually, the rest of the world would slowly become
aware of the atrocities of Leopold s Congo. The economic upheaval that the events of the Congo

The Passionate Shepherd Essay
The Passionate Shepherd and The Nymph s Reply are two very intriguing poems with two
different viewpoints on Love, Nature, Time, and the Materialistic world. In this comparative essay
you will understand how two people love each other unconditionally, but have divergent views on
how to love one another. The Shepherd is in lovewith the nymph and he believes that if he gives
her everything that she ambitiously desires then she ll come and dwell with him. To me the
Shepherd s love is more based around items and materials in general, his love was more
materialistic and idealistic that actually putting love into it. Yes, he meant well and all but you
have to think no woman is going to stay around long if the only thing that the man does is get her
stuff all the time. Now, the Nymph she loves the Shepherd and wants to go live with him, but she
wants him to actually think that instead of flowers and skirts she wants love and affection. She
wants someone that s going to love her and not hurt her. She wants to feel like what she s getting
herself into is going to last, instead of giving her another heartbreak. But the love is there for both
of them, they are both just trying to find some way for the other one to understand.
The nature (tone) of both poems is having, dissimilar viewpoints also. The Shepherd s tone was
more warm and happy thoughts. He was excited and he focused on his future with the Nymph,
he had a melodious tone, almost like a lullaby. The Nymph s nature was death related, she was
more worried about what if things didn t work out where was that going to leave her and she
was more focused on the past, like she felt that the Shepherd was going to be like another man
that she has dealt with. She viewed nature in a cold winter like view, she feels like everything will
inevitably leave. Their natures were like seasons; the Shepherds nature was like summer and
spring where everything is happy and alive, and the nymph s nature was like winter where
everything is cold and dead.
Their view of time pretty much ties in with the way that they had viewed nature, the Shepherd
believed that their love will grow overtime, he thinks that love is a forever thing. He is in a trance
of a world where everything is all

December 11, 2014 Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells Derived Neural Crest Stem Cells and the
maintenance of Neural crest stem cell multipotency
Stem cells are unspecialized cells, which have the potential to develop into several different cell
types muscle cells, brain cells, skin cells, or red blood cells during early development. Stem cells
continuously divide in order to replace other cells. As stem cells divide, they have the potential to
develop into a specialized cell or remain a stem cell. Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) play an
essential role in tissue regeneration, and can circumvent immune system concerns. There are a
variety of stem cells, including embryonic stem cells, adult stem cells, and induced pluripotent stem
cells. However, the main focus of this paper will be the usage of induced pluripotent stem cells.
Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells Derived Neural Crest Stem Cells Induced pluripotent stem cells
are adult cells that are genetically altered in order to match embryonic stem cells. In order to
achieve this embryonic stem cell like nature, induced pluripotent stem cells are impelled to
express genes and factors required to maintain the properties of embryonic stem cells. The main
iPSC discussed in this paper will be derived neural crest stem cells (NCSCs). Derived neural crest

Absolute Male Authority In The Duchess Of Malfi
The Duchess of Malfi not only challenges the concept of absolute male authority by having a
female main character who has a will of her own and disobeys this authority, but it also
illuminates the problem of the mentality of the conventional male who unquestioningly accepts
the doctrines of the patriarchal system. This system is created to ensure that males are imbued
with nearly limitless power, especially over women. In her book Male Subjectivity at the
Margins, Kaja Silverman quotes Gayle Rubin, who claims that women though women are seen as
object to be exchanged, in the way that people would exchange gifts. Rubin goes on to note that If
women are gifts, then it is men who are the exchange partners, and it is the partners, not the
presents, upon whom reciprocal exchange confers its quasi mystical power of social linkage (36).
The concept that men possess a quasi mystical power simply because they are men, is part of what
Silverman calls the dominant fiction that is the patriarchal structure. It could be said that the idea
that men possess this inherent and absolute power leads to a God complex where men who are
higher up in the social structure, and at times men who are not, feel that their authority is so
absolute that any actions that they do not approve... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Father are associated, so much so that, from a purely psychological point of view, the former idea
may be regarded as a magnified, idealized, and projected form of the latter.

  • 2. Dead Sea Srolls Study Guide 1.What are some methodological issues scholars encounter studying the Hebrew Bible and the histories of ancient Israel? There are so many different variations of the same text that the story cannot be aligned with assurance for some scholars. There are different perspectives regarding the same stories in history, therefore they have been separated into their own collections of literature; such as canonization and biblical text recognized by different sects. Not all of the Hebrew Bible was written in Hebrew, in fact, some of the scriptures were written in Aramaic. Scholars also run into the issue with sources by means of interpretation and preservation. Primary sources like the Dead Sea Scrolls are easier to extract information from rather than archeological artifacts that are likely to be open to interpretation. 2. What do multiple canons and collections of texts tell us about canonization? Why do scholars consider canonization a process, not a moment? What is the significance of the Dead Sea Scrolls and what do they tell us about textual traditions during the Second Temple period? The canon books were prized text that was held in high regards to wisdom and history of the culture. The content of these books was from the laws of Moses to the birth and death of humanity and all that was in between, about a three thousand year timeframe. The preservation of these scriptures including additions to, removal of, or any alterations to the text was guarded by the authors, even ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Importance Of Western Culture And Punjabi Culture A constant struggle of incorporating western mentality and remaining true to my Punjabi culture has been at the root of many dilemmas throughout my life and has caused me to engender my own set of values, which reflect a unique blend of western culture and Punjabi culture. As a future marriage and family therapist who will be assessing a diverse population, I foresee this amalgamation becoming an issue when I receive clients who come from a similar background and have a certain expectation of what I should say, or when I receive clients who come from a different background and have different values than I do. If one is not consciously aware of these values and biases, then it is very likely that these concerns will impede the therapeutic relationship and the work of the therapist. For instance, Punjabi culture emphasizes parents sacrificing their own happiness for their children s happiness, which can be seen via parents not getting a divorce for a child s happiness. I have seen the latter occur many times, even in instances where the parents cannot stand one another. Growing up I understood this mentality, because I had witnessed my American friends going through turmoil when finding out their parents were getting a divorce. At the time, I believed that the parents were selfish, that they were not considering what this would do to their child. Additionally, my familyhad also pushed forth this value in our home, even in instances where my aunts were living with alcoholic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Power Of The Great Powers Of Great Britain Using Europe as essentially a blank tablet on which to create their own Balance of Power, the Great Powers of Great Britain, Prussia, Austria, and Russia (with France, the defeated power, playing a lesser role) re drew the map. There had been other pressing matters to settle: the rights of German Jews, the abolition of the slave trade and navigation on European rivers, not to mention the restoration of the Bourbon royal family in France, Spain and Naples, the constitution of Switzerland, issues of diplomatic precedence and, last but not least, the foundation of a new German confederation to replace the defunct Holy Roman Empire. At many points during negotiations, various powers threatened the use of force, and it seemed that some questions cannot be resolved diplomatically power. However, the Congress of Viennaended peacefully, and laid the foundation of relative peace between the great powers of Europe for 40 years until the Crimean War of 1854 1856 The great victorious powers (Russia, Britain, Austria and Prussia) invited other states of Europe to send plenipotentiaries to Vienna for a peace conference. There had been other urgent issues to be resolved: the rights of Jews in Germany, the abolition of the slave trade and navigation in European rivers, not to mention the restoration of the Bourbon royal family in France, Spain and Naples, the constitution of Switzerland, issues of diplomatic precedence and, last but not least, the foundation of a new German confederation to replace the late Holy Roman Empire. The root of the crisis could, again, is in a failure of Congress system (and again in the Holy Alliance): the omission of the Ottoman Empire of European peace. In 1830 Czartoryski, who was on the wrong side of a Polish rebellion against Russian side, he regretted that despite perpetual peace had become the conception of the most powerful monarchs of the continent (he referred in particular to Tsar Alexander) diplomacy had corrupted and turned into poison. • 5. Brunelleschi In Florence What was the motivation that led to the discovery? At the beginning of the 15th century, the leaders of the city of Florence decided that it was time for them to solve a problem that they had been putting aside for decades. It was time for them to fill the hole in their massive cathedral, Santa Maria del Fiore. The building of this cathedral began in 1296 but it wasn t until 1418 when they started looking for the right architect for the job to build the dome. They just didn t know how it could be done. Many architects came from all around Florence to present their ideas. Filippo Brunelleschi s design ultimately won. • 6. 3d Printing And The 3d Printer s New Found Popularity... In 1986 Charles Hull invented the 3D printer (Lewis). Hull s 3D printer has come a long way since then, and in all those years 3D printing has finally shifted its way into the public eye. This bout of fame and recognition for printers though is both a blessing as well as a curse. 3D printers are finally being given the attention and appreciation they deserve; even President Obama saw their potential when he gave a $30 million dollar grant to the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute in Ohio (Lewis). Unfortunately, the 3D printer s new found popularity comes with a price. Like any budding young star the 3D printer is under constant scrutiny and has lost some of the freedom it once had, freedoms like exemption from... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Once one creative medium is given free reign from intellectual property laws, what excuse is there not to make exceptions for all other creative mediums as well? Why should books, photographs, sculptures, digital artwork, etc. all not be liberated from intellectual property laws as well? Another fear, held by both companies and consumers alike, is the possibility of counterfeit products. Individuals would have the power and opportunity to print and sell different products to buyers who believe they are purchasing and paying for the original and genuine product. Those who oppose leaving 3D printers unrestricted also anticipate that it could lead to intellectual property laws being eradicated completely, as the government loses complete control over 3D printing all together. The current difference between all other creative mediums and 3D printers at this time is that all the others are well established and known by the public throughout the world. 3D printing is still so young, it was only in the 1980 s that engineers began to use 3D printers in their work (Barnett). Most of the general public have only now begun to learn about the existence and understand what a 3D printer is. Due to the fact that 3D printing is such a new and up and coming technology, it still has a very long way to go development wise. 3D printers are far from being perfect. In order for 3D printing to continue to expand though it needs to be nourished by both creativity and freedom. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. My First Son Mutability Poems during the renaissance age were used to show typical ideas from that era. One idea is mutability. For example, Ben Jonson s On My First Son shows the theme of mutability, a very common topic during the seventeenth century. This passage shows mutability in at least three ways. First, the author states Farewell, thou child of my right hand, and joy , farewell is a term that is used for goodbye. In this line the author is saying goodbye to his child who has died and will no longer be with him. The author uses mutability to show the change from life to death. Second, the author yet again uses mutability in the line And if no other misery, yet age? This line shows mutability by age. Age is something that is always changing. The author ... Neville Chamberlain was a realist, he had inherited a policy of appeasement Lord Halifax memoir) from his predecessor Baldwin. His prime motive during his diplomatic meetings with Adolf Hitler was to prevent Britain becoming entangled in a war that she was ill equipped to wage. This he successfully achieved and by defusing a situation through statesmanship he bought valuable time to allow the British forces to re arm. • 11. Ziplock Bag Lab Report Mass Conservation Within a Ziplock Bag Question Does a controlled (closed system) Ziplock bag experiment demonstrate the Law of Conservation of Mass? Claim According to the Law of Conservation of Mass inside a controlled system, mass cannot be created nor destroyed, only transformed. This statement is accurate, however, a human error occurred when I performed this experiment. According to my data in the Ziplock bag experiment, the information I collected did not support the Law of Conservation of Mass. Evidence Throughout the Ziplock bag experiment, the Law of Conservation of Mass was present in 50% of the ten groups ( five out of the ten groups). To collect the mass of everything, the first direction was to take the mass of the materials used in the experiment. For the Law of Conservation of Mass to be activated, the Ziplock bag needed to be closed. If a gas was to be formed, no mass would be created nor destroyed because in a closed or controlled system nothing is able to escape. Based on the four pieces of data I collected in my data table, the mass of 75% of my data before and after the experiment stayed the same. ... For an explanation of why the mass was changed could be as easily explained as not closing the Ziplock bag or not measuring the materials exactly. When I performed this experiment, I did not add the correct weights together. Therefore, this resulted in the before and after mass to not be equivalent and not following the Law of Conservation of Mass. For the 50% of the experiments that did represent the Law of Conservation of Mass, the mass stayed the same throughout the entire experiment. For example, Brooke and Lily s mass of their reactants was 32.3 grams. Likewise, after their experiment was performed the mass was also 32.3 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Ostrom s Privatization Definition Overall, Ostrom is critical of Hardin s approach in dealing with over exploited common resources such privatization and government regulation. She is critical of the inflexibility of Hardin s model and its pessimistic outlook for the future (Ostrom et al., 1999). Moreover, it has become evident that common pool resources, such as overfishing, are difficult to address. Ostrom, argues that for the past two decades the approaches taken to address common pool resources, many following Hardin s model, have not been successful in addressing negative externalities and in some cases have induced further damages (Ostrom,2008). One of the arguments Ostrom would make would be against privatization and government regulation of fisheries. Ostrom, makes clear that privatization of open access resources is often inefficient (Ostrom et al., 1999).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Privatization would address these issues on a broad scale with standard regulations that would not take into consideration underlying conflict experienced by the poorer users of the common resource (Ostrom et al., 1999). Instead, management of these resources should be site specific, where some fishery communities would benefit from self organized monitoring and implementation (Ostrom et al., 1999). For instance, the government intervention for northern cod in Canadian waters had a disproportionate impact on local fishers, who established local rules, yet government intrusion caused a collapse to the fishery market and outside fishers didn t suffer the consequences as heavily as the locals, causing higher poverty rates and unemployment (Ostrom, ... Good morning ladies and gentlemen for the AFC, and the quote you have just heard is from the Australian film Red dog and is stated to be one of the most powerful quotes in Australian theatre. Australian film has been around for many years and of those years there have been many examples of what some might like to call a masterpiece. Some of these films include the Mad Max series, Gallipoli, Crocodile Dundee but of these films, the filmthat stands out the most to audiences is the movie Red dog. Red dog is directed by Australian producer Kriv Stenders and was made in 2011. The story takes place during the 1970 s so one would expect to view various counts of racism and sexism but there was no evidense of these themes ever showing as the dialogue had been written for a G rating. It was as if the whole production has had its mouth washed out with soap by there mother for cursing. The reason this film was successful to most was because of the message it portrayed as the movie was based around a young Australian Kelpie named Red dog and how he united a fractured community while searching for his master. The movie is highly regarded today as of the best Australian films as it brings all Australian values to the table. The main reason for the audiences love for this film is because of its portrayal of a character s loyalty, mateship and the Australian Landscape and this is what occurs throughout the film. Mateship is a big part of Australian culture as us as Australians live and breathe the words of friendship and that is why this film is so successful, because it brought an un unlikely hero and made the character bond with an entire town. As Australians, we love a good animal story and due to the bond between the main character John and his companion Red dog was so strong it was as if the pair were inseparable. The Australian notion of mateships is portrayed in the film when the character Joko is talking about the type of man that should have a statue for all to admire as he states It should be somebody who lives and breathes desolation, somebody that has red dust stuck up their nose and in their eyes and in their ears ... • 14. Introduction Of An Inventory Control Method I.Introduction to Just in Time When discussing just in time most people will focus on its initial position as an inventory control method that attempts to match production as closely to sales as possible. This system attempts to do this by producing or purchasing items just in time to be used, and thereby minimize the cost of holding inventory (Lee Ebrahimpour, 2007; Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, 1995). One expert has stated that just in time seeks to produce and deliver finished goods just in time to be sold, sub assemblies just in time to be assembled into finished goods, fabricated parts just in time to go into subassemblies, and purchased materials just in time to be transformed into fabricated parts. In its most pure sense, just in time, seeks to have zero defects, zero machine setup times, zero re work, and zero lead time, from the time an order is placed with the company until the product is shipped to the purchaser (Lee Ebrahimpour, 2007). In this pure just in time inventory system, once raw materials enter the production facility they are not recorded or inventoried until they leave as a finished good (Epps, 1995). The concept of just in time was first established in the 1950 s by T. Ohno, the former executive Vice Present of the Toyota Motor Company in Japan, to meet the precise demands of customers for various models and colors of cars with a minimum delay (Swanson Lankford, 1998; Keller Kazazi, 1993). Separation of Powers Essay Ange Miller Separation of Powers essay American National Government 6 Professor: Aimellia Siemson The concept of separation of governmental powers is an essential principle to our democracy. The Separation of Powers devised by the framers of the Constitution was designed to do one primary thing: to prevent the majority from ruling with an iron fist, so the framers shied away from giving any branch of the new government too much power. The judicial branch is made up of courts and the highest of these courts is the U.S. Supreme Court and is made up of 9 judges. Courts decide arguments about the meaning of laws, how they are applied, and whether they break the rules of the Constitution. (2) Of the more than 7,500 cases that are sent to the Supreme Court each year, only about 80 to 100 cases are actually accepted. • 19. The Basic Ideas Of The Science Of Mind Practical Philosophy However, today we find increasing numbers of scientific men emerging from that age of materialism. This is due to the fact that modern science has not theoretically been able to resolve the material universe into purely mechanical energy, but has discovered that the smallest particles which it supposes to exist exercise a sort of volition, which of course leaves room for freedom. Once you establish freedom and volition as an operating factor in connection with the energy which becomes form, then you have established a universe of consciousness. And once you establish a universe of consciousness you establish the possibility of communion, and arrive at a logical basis for faith, prayer, the religious and the mystical life. The Basic Ideas of the Science of Mind, pg. 91 The fact that science has not yet been able to attribute the existence of the material universe to a purely mechanical energy, does not mean that it won t be able to. In fact, since the late 1950s, when Holmes wrote about this, most scientists have come to believe that they have in fact, theoretically resolved everything to a mechanical and mathematically verifiable principle of motion. We may still ask What (or Who) set things in motion, but such a question brings the discussion out of the realm of science into the speculative disciplines of philosophy and religion. Herbal remedies don t have many of the side effects drugs have today. Looking into the roots of herbal medicine can make modern medicine more effective, safer, and healthier for generations to come. Native Americans before they were exposed to modern medicineand technology, only relied on plant based medicine. The Sumac tree was used often in Native American culture for both food and health remedies. The Sumac is native to temperate and subtropical zones and it was grown in North America. It was seen as a sacred plant that helped improve the lives of the Native Americans. The parts that were usually used were the root bark, leaves, and berries ( Herbal Medicine ). Sumac was very versatile in that it helped with many health issues the Native Americans often faced. The active properties the plant contained were Calcium malate, Dehydro Fisetin, Fisetin, Iodine, Gallic acid methyl ester, tannic and gallic acids, Selenium, and Tartaric acid (Jackson, Deb, and Karen Bergeron. There are many people who would choose to disagree with this idea, however. They would argue that legislation to protect people has removed any kind of race related tensions, but it does not appear that this is actually the case. In order to address the issue thoroughly and comprehensively, it is important to discuss the researcher s reasons for believing that racism and anti Semitism are both still causing difficulties for many people in the US during the present day. Until clear knowledge of the issue is gained, it is not possible to adequately combat the problem and take steps to improve relations. The first reason that racism and anti Semitism are still being seen today is from ignorance. The beliefs of people based on their religions and how they were raised are often very focused on what they were taught when they were young. As they age, they do not choose to move forward and attempt to learn more about others and the world around them (McVeigh, 2004). Because they are not interested in seeing other people as equals, or because they do not want to expand upon what they have learned and see how others may feel differently than they do, they simply avoid focusing on anything that is not what they have already been taught or shown. • 23. Objections To The Adminstrative Process Theory Croley faces many objections to his administrative process theory. Some objections are in defense of the public choice theory while others seek to disprove the administrative theory itself. Despite the outcome of these arguments, Croley seeks to emphasize publically interested regulation is a possibility according to the administrative process theory and that under the right circumstances it will prevail. The main claim being there is more not less to the story of regulationthan legislative control and interest group influence, notwithstanding the inordinate explanatory weight these factors are usually thought to carry. An initial objection uses the basic argument that a few cases of regulation successfully advancing the public interest does not undermine the public choice theory. This theory, known as the straw theory, puts forth the idea that regulation does not always end with interest groups receiving regulatory rents, but does enough times to draw attention to the efficiency of the regulation process. The theory should be able to incorporate these few cases. Croley responds in this case first by explaining the conceptual criticism of the theory would remain regardless of the analyses of the cases in this particular circumstance. Furthermore, if the theory were to accommodate those few successful examples of regulation it would not have predictive or explanatory power because of its inability to rule out any regulatory outcomes. Patriarchy, in its most basic sense is the domination of men over women in every aspect of society, both civil and legal. Although patriarchy technically refers to families ruled by a senior male patriarch, it more generally refers to systematic domination and subordination of females by males. Moreover, patriarchy can be seen as a driving force that rallies feminists around women s rights. Patriarchy is crucial to understanding feminism with its desire for legal reform, and the elimination of patriarchy. Owen M. This sentiment was proclaimed in 1831 in Cherokee Nation V. Georgia. The United States has been attempting to integrate Native populations into the American systems since the first settlements arrived from across the sea. Original tribal status was that of dependent domestic nations 1. Recent history has changed the status of Native America to one of self determination and sovereignty. This status was not determined by the US Constitution as Native Tribes were sovereign people before Colonialization. The Unites States solidified the direct relationship between the Native Nations and the Federal Government with the Indian Commerce Clause of 1879. The Commerce Clause allowed Congress alone the power to regulate commerce between the United States and the Indian tribes.2 The Marshall Trilogy, Chief Justice Marshall s Supreme Court cases designated the limits of tribal sovereignty for the Native populations being surrounded by the newly formed United States of America. In the first case, Johnson v. M Intosh, the Court recognized Indian nations do not have a right to enter into treaties without federal approval.3 In Cherokee Nation v. This followed would lead to a worldwide adoption of IFRS over the next few years. In his work, Barry (2009, p.26 27) states, The advantage of a single set of financial reporting standards are manifest, particularly as internationalization of business activities became the norm. In particular, having uniform, high quality standards has been extolled as fostering international business relationships, with the goal being the facilitation of cross border capital flows and lowering the cost of capital _ the expected results of the anticipated reduction of perceived accounting risk . It has been argued that uniform financial reporting standards will result in lowered cost of capital, where investors will be willing to accept lower returns interest from their investment in corporate securities. This will be achieved when the riskiness of their investment is reduced to the acceptable level. To improve an investors confidence, the SEC provides domestic registration of foreign entities and reconciliation to U.S. GAAP from respective national GAAP. Several members of our class suggest that the final message of the Hurt Locker is duty versus morality. I agree to a certain extent, but I think there is a much bigger conflict with the author and the outside world. The author urges the reader to see warfor what it really is. In his poem Turner says, Believe it when you see it (2005). To me, this line is like an invitation to the readers to experience what war is like first hand. He wants people to see that there is much more to war than what people see on television or read in the paper. He also uses very descriptive language to describe some of the events that happened during this particular war. One example is when Turner says, Believe it when a twelve year old boy rolls a grenade into a room (2005). There is a certain shock value to this line that is meant to play on the reader s emotions. The rapid changes taking place in emerging markets, combined with the fact that existing fixed line networks are often underdeveloped, offer persuasive reasons to believe that systems will be developed that can facilitate wealth creation and genuinely transform people s lives in the poorest parts of the region. Ultimately, the evolution of mobile payments systems has the potential to allow global organisations to access a far wider market, including people in previously hard to access locations. The caveat is, of course, that issues of trust, security and affordability also need to be overcome. This report explores the recent developments in the context of these significant challenges. Mobile payments are necessitating new forms of interaction between telecoms companies, financial institutions, software and content providers. As in any supply chain, it is important to understand the processes and security capabilities of other parties in the relationship. It is even more important when potentially sensitive or personal information is flowing between these parties. Ultimately, the adoption of mobile payments will therefore depend on, and be driven by, consumer confidence. In this respect, all of the participants within each respective business model needs to share some responsibility for its successful adoption. seung Hwan (sean) choi Regional Head Information, Communications Entertainment KPMG in Korea ... Valence Electrons All About Ionic Bonding! пЃ¶Covalent bonding is when electrons are shared by atoms, which enables the atoms to gain more stability. пЃ¶Covalent bonding is done between two nonmetal atoms. пЃ¶Molecules that are covalently bonded have low melting points because the electrons are being shared. Plus, they are terrible conductors of electricity, because the molecule is made up of nonmetals. пЃ¶Covalent bonds can have three types of bonds, a single bond. By sharing these valence electrons, it creates a full electron shell. o Demonstration: H2O, the water molecule is the perfect example of how covalent bonding uses valence electrons to create a full electron shell. Oxygen has six electrons on the energy level 2p. For that energy level to be full, it can have two more electrons. Therefore, two hydrogens bond with that one oxygen, to ensure its stability. Hydrogen bonds with the oxygen because in order for hydrogen s outermost shell (1s) to be filled, it needs one electron to be shared with it. So, oxygen shares one electron with each of the two hydrogens, and the two hydrogens hare its one electron with the one oxygen. пЃ¶Atoms that use ionic bonding transfer valence electrons. The responses of the various nations of Native Americans to the arrival of Europeans after 1492, and the manner in which they dealt with their presence, varied differently from one group to another. Responses to encounters between both groups depended on cultural characteristics, or on the economic and political circumstances which they found themselves in. Just as there was no universal Indian response to the encounter there were also many significant differences in the ways the Europeans and others approached the natives whose land they were intent on occupying. Europeans having arrived in the New World were there in search for the path to riches and the latter not caring who was going to be harmed or whose property was destroyed in the process for their own selfish greed. A brief comparison of various encounters between several Native American nations and European settlers of various periods will demonstrate the series of fundamental factors that had an impact of the relationships between the various groups. • 37. Socratic Method In Law School Law students and Lawyers are trained to be insensitive for a number of reasons. For starters the environment the law student, or lawyer, experiences either in law school or in their ideal practice, warrants competition. With competition comes aggression and hostility. In an environment like that, insensitivity is second nature. At that point, insensitivity becomes an innate ability that you will carry with you throughout the rest of your law school experience and so forth. The latter is rooted in the idea of the Socratic method, the I ask a question, you answer, and I attack the validity of your entire response ordeal, which most schools have adopted into their institutions. The latter is displayed in the movie by Kingsfield as he addressed his class in the beginning and told them that he would be using the Socratic method throughout the course of the semester. By using this method, it improves the reaction time, the analytic response, and improves the targeted party s critical thinking ability regarding hypotheticals. Not only that, it prepares the law student, and lawyer, mentally and emotionally for the adversarial process. According to The Princeton Review (2017), in a best case scenario, the Socratic method successfully derails a properly prepared student by challenging their initial premises in the hopes of adverting the targeted individual s attention to the bigger picture (The Princeton Review, 2017). The Deep Oceanic Trenches Near Thermal Vents Objective: How to find evidence of life in deep oceanic trenches near thermal vents Introduction: Deep ocean trenches are environments that have historically been shrouded in mystery, their inaccessibility rendering such limited explorations as net dragging and dredging for samples (Lee, 2012). While potential for chemosynthesis had been proposed as long ago as 1890, it was nearly a century later before such systems were demonstrated to be active on the ocean floor (German, 2011). Further investigation has shown that ecosystems are surviving and thriving along the ocean floor within these trenches. Studies have shown that deep ocean trenches contain ecosystems that are biologically and geologically active, producing a high diversity of organisms that must withstand a variety of environmental changes (Anderson et al., 2014). Recent explorations have confirmed new forms of life in deep ocean trenches. Life discovered in such an extreme environment is call for investigation. We will analyze 5000 grab samples from the deep oceanic trenchto determine if the samples are dead, alive, or have never had life. We are attempting to create a picture of what life is like on the bottom of the ocean. To figure this out, we will categorize these samples, determining what has/had life and never has. In all cases, wherever there are chemically reduced compounds present, microbial activity is enhanced (German, 2011). Deep sea trenches are underwater vents to the core of the earth that ... • 42. The Pros And Cons Of Independent Movies In recent years, the film industry has drastically changed. I remember when I was little, I thought independent films and documentaries were weird things that only hippies watched. Now, more and more people adore independent films. Although indie flicks do not have the budget of blockbuster films, they do have a unique chance to explore what lies beyond Hollywood norms. Instead of the same directors and mangers deciding what will entertain the masses, these videos allow creators to reach a more targeted audience. For example, one may make a video about the bad conditions of meat factories and share it on Facebook among vegetarian groups. A movie that narrow in audience would never reach it to the theaters. Also, independent movies explore what makes a movie good and defy the cutter cookie plots of major pictures. One particularly great, acclaimed indie movie was The Babadook. This movie had a very slow build and an unsettling ending, both of which are not common in megamovies. The norms of television shows are being tested as well. Similarly to HBO, Netflix produces content of its own instead of relying on television networks. This freedom lets it create controversial material, such as a show called Dear White People.
