4. HOW THEY WOULD BE USED
I am going to teach my English language learners about weather. Basic
English can already be difficult enough for ELL’s so a concept like weather
may be extremely challenging. The following links provide different
resources to help them grasp the concept.

5. HOW THEY WOULD BE USED
1. Weather Vocabulary activity:
http://express.smarttech.com/files/noflash/en_US/getFlash.html
First I would use this fun visual weather activity can be used to see what
the ELL’s know and where they are at when it comes to understanding
weather.

2. Weather introduction:

Second I would use this weather introduction for an ELL classroom. This
fun lesson is also visual. It is very informative and also contains multiple
choice, fill in the blanks, and has a review at the end.

3. Weather dress up
game:http://exchange.smarttech.com/details.html?id=86a9d00d-189a-43c2-

Next I would utilize the information that they have learned and I would have
them use that in this fun game. They get to dress a bear based on the
weather. So it is visual but they also have to use this new information.

Lastly I would do the weather activity again to see what they have learned
and see if they have improved with their weather knowledge.
9. SMARTBOARDS AND UNIVERSAL DESIGN
These activities that I have chosen are considered universal design
because they have to be easy to use and easy to understand for my ELL’s.
Smartboards in general are universal design because they are easily
accessible to anyone, ex. Students with wheelchairs roll up to them. Also, if
a student has a visual impairment it is easy to zoom.
