Effects Of Alcoholism Essay
Crafting an essay on the effects of alcoholism is a challenging endeavor that requires a delicate
balance of research, empathy, and a nuanced understanding of the subject matter. Delving into
the intricate web of consequences that alcoholism weaves throughout individuals and society
demands a comprehensive exploration of both the physiological and psychological aspects
involved.
One of the primary difficulties lies in navigating the vast sea of information surrounding
alcoholism. The topic encompasses a wide array of effects, ranging from the immediate
physiological impacts on the body to the profound social and economic repercussions. Sorting
through the plethora of studies, statistics, and personal accounts to distill the most relevant and
impactful information can be a daunting task.
Moreover, addressing the emotional and psychological toll of alcoholism adds another layer of
complexity. To create a compelling narrative that captures the human side of the issue, an
essayist must approach the subject with sensitivity and empathy. This involves not only
understanding the science behind alcoholism but also delving into the personal stories of those
affected, which can be emotionally challenging.
The challenge further intensifies when attempting to strike a balance between raising awareness
about the detrimental effects of alcoholism and avoiding stigmatization. A well-crafted essay
should not only educate the reader but also foster empathy and understanding for those
struggling with alcohol addiction. Striking this delicate balance requires finesse and a thoughtful
choice of language.
In conclusion, tackling the task of writing an essay on the effects of alcoholism is akin to
navigating a complex labyrinth of scientific data, personal narratives, and societal implications. It
demands a thorough understanding of the subject matter, empathy for those affected, and the
ability to weave these elements into a coherent and impactful narrative. The essayist must tread
carefully to avoid oversimplification or sensationalism while delivering a nuanced and
informative piece.

Mechanical Engineering Essay Paper
Introduction
Career in mechanical engineering involves grappling with various aspects of the
technical and practical work. The job of a mechanical engineer involves widespread
handling of machines and components which have a direct relation with power by
producing it, transmitting it or even making use of power. The major concern of
mechanical engineers is bent towards ways and mechanisms through which natural
energy sources are converted into uses of practical nature. As part of their work,
mechanical engineers seek to come up with tools that are vital for other engineers to
make use of them as they go about their daily routine. In order to work effectively,
mechanical engineers need to work in a team of scientists and experts in ... Show

Each specific area of specialization has its accompanying characteristics as well as
working conditions. The working conditions for a mechanical engineer thus range
from one area of specialization to another. Generally, mechanical engineers spend
their work time in well lighted and clean offices. The periods in which mechanical
engineers spend their time in offices within buildings and within the sites of
operations vary with the nature of the occupation. There are variations in the working
conditions for mechanical engineers due to the variations that exist between the areas
of specialization. For this reason, it is not uncommon to find mechanical engineers
who spend their whole working time in very quite and serene environments while
others are spend their entire working time in noisy factories.
Due to the variations that exist in the profession, difficulty levels and extent of
rewards vary considerably. Due to the challenges conditions and nature of work that a
mechanical engineer performs, there are far much higher pay scales in engineering
than in other degree professions. For instance, in UK, engineers are the second most
highly paid professionals after medical doctors. Depending on the location of the
engineer and the area of specialization, pay is administered. On average, mechanical
engineers earn salaries of about $62,880 annually. According

Financial Development Of The Indian Finance Industry
Money related Industry is the foundation of a present day economy. Soundness of
Financial industry is a standout amongst the most essential pre conditions for
managed monetary advance of any nation. The universe of Finance has accepted
another measurement at the beginning of the 21st century with the coming of
innovation, in this manner loaning the business a stamp of comprehensiveness. By
and large, Financing might be delegated retail and corporate Financing. Retail
Financing, which is intended to meet the necessity of individual client and energize
their investment funds, incorporates installment of service bills, customer advances,
Visas, financial records equalizations, ATMs, exchanging reserves amongst records
and so forth. Corporate financing, then again, obliges the requirements of corporate
clients like bills marking down, opening letters of credit and overseeing money.
The Indian Finance Industry scene has changed radically with the private division
making in street in a zone heretofore commanded by expansive open area Finance
Corporations. Developing disinvestment is probably going to affect the money
related industry also. There is each plausibility of privatization of open division
Finance Corporations, prompting to more prominent operational self governance.
The improvement of the Indian budgetary segment has been joined by the
presentation of new standards, for example, Income Recognition and Capital
Adequacy, by the administration. The last suggests that

Plethysmograph Essay
The History of Polygraph
Since the beginning of time, people have been looking for ways to distinguish the
truth from the lies in people who were suspected of committing crimes. Many
techniques were tried over the centuries, many of these techniques stemmed from
ridiculous and cruel. Many of these techniques were based on the assumption that a
physiological reaction would have occurred when a person was confronted with
details specific events. When questioned, the person s physiological reaction to these
events would show symptoms that they were either being honest or deceitful.
Angelo Mosso

Larson was a police officer who developed the original lie detector. Larson named his
instrument the polygraph. Polygraph is a Greek word that means many writings and
Larson used this since his instrument was able to read several physiological responses
at the same time as well as document these responses. By using his polygraph
instrument, Larson was the first person to continuously and simultaneously measure
the changes in a person s pulse rate, blood pressure and respiratory rate while being
interrogated. He was successful in his criminal investigations.
Leonarde Keeler
In 1925, Leonarde Keeler create a polygraph instrument that used inked pens which
recorded the changes in a person s blood pressure, pulse rate and respiratory
patterns. In 1938, Keeler refined his instrument by adding a third component for the
detection of deception, this was called the psycho galvanometer. This component
measured changes in a person s skin electrical resistance while being questioned.
This paved way to the polygraph as we know it today. In 1948, Leonarde Keeler
founded the first polygraph school, the Keeler Polygraph Institute based in Chicago,
Illinois.

Bronfenbrenner s Ecological Systems Theory
Discuss Bronfenbrenner s ecological systems theory and how it applies to the plight
of children in the European migrant crisis In order to understand how Bronfenbrenner
s ecological systems theory of human development applies to children of the
European migrant crisis, it may be useful to start by explaining what the ecological
systems theoryis. This theory was published in 1979 and was developed by
developmental psychologist, Urie Bronfenbrenner. It is an evolving theoretical system
developed for the use of scientific study on the area of Human Development
(Bronfenbrenner, 2005 as cited in Damon Lerner, 2006, p. 793). Human Development
describes the growth in humans throughout their lifespan (http:/
/psychology.about.com/od/developmentecourse/f/dev_faq.htm). The bioecological
model of human development is defined as the following; The phenomenon of
continuity and change in the biopsychological characteristics of human beings, both
as individuals and as groups. The phenomenon extends over the life course, across
successive generations, and through historical time, both past and future. (Damon, M.
Lerner M. R, 2006, p.793) How does this bio ecological systems theory apply to the
children in this modern day European migrant crisis? As stated above, this theory has
been developed to scientifically study the area of human development, an area which
is central to children in particular. Bronfenbrenner argues that the environment around
the individual is what
The Screwtape Letter
Have you ever wondered how demons try and lead us away from God and begin to
sin? In the Screwtape Letters C.S Lewis shows us how a demon named Screwtape
guides his nephew Wormwood on how to make sure their patient stays away from
Christianity. The Screwtape Letters is an Epistolary novel that was written during
World War II. In this novel God is considered The Enemy and Satan is Our Father.
The main characters in this novel are Wormwood, Screwtape, and the patient.
Screwtape is a demon who writes his nephew Wormwood from hell. Screwtape
teaches his nephew the different steps of keeping his patient away from God.

from God. In this novel we don t really... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He does this because Wormwood wants the girlfriend to feel like she s not good
enough for the patient. Eventually the patient loses the love of his life because he
she was convinced that she didn t deserve him. Screwtape also believes that instead
of waiting until marriage to have sex, a person should be able to do it whenever
they feel like it. Eventually at the end of the book the patient dies but he is sent to
Heaven. Wormwood wasn t successful in turning the patient away from Christ.
Screwtape is turned into a larger centipede for failing to convince his nephew to
convince the patient to leave God .The theme of this novel is would be to try and
prove that Christianity will always prevail. Even though as Christians our faith is
tested everyday we should just persevere and know that God is with us. Even
though Screwtape was evil he was also very wise. Screwtape knew exactly what to
do in order to lead the patient down the wrong path. Whenever a person is suffering
Screwtape says that it feels like I had a rich buffet. Screwtape basically lives of
people s daily suffering. Wormwood is easily persuaded, whatever his uncle tells
him to do to the patient it would get done. He s also easily excited, whenever the
Europeans went into a second war he was delirious with joy. But Screwtape had to
teach him not to get joyful so fast. Finally, the patient would be described as a person
who is easily influenced. Throughout the novel you notice that whatever wormwood
tells him to do it would be done. He believed that the things he was doing would
benefit God, but it was actually benefiting Satan. But in the end Satan lost because
the patient went to Heaven to be with our Father in Heaven. In the end Christianity
still beat Satan and the patient is happy in

It discusses how the corpses from ancient world and primitive customs present
themselves to the poem. It s also about the strangeness in today s conditions and how
Heaney changes his descriptive statements and emotional account into images in his
poetry. It says that what is considered is the history of present and the whole world is
in imaginative language.
Heaney s poetry is the imagination and dreams of freedom in his mirror and writing
these poems is an act of expressing what is happening in his mind.
Today postmodernism is considered as a reproduction of ancient traditions.
Postmodernism like modernism, follows the ideas of rejecting boundaries between
high and low forms of art, rejecting inflexible genre distinctions, and emphasizing
parody, irony and playfulness.1
Postmodernism points to a growing reality in culture. Anything fast, image centered,
any thing that shocks or no longer keeps the tradition in itself can be considered
postmodern.
Dr. Christopher Carter, one of the professors at University of Louisville believes:
From Adrienne Rich to Jacques Derrida, poets continually attack conventional
boundaries, recondition them, ignore them. Postmodern poets often subvert the very
forms they appropriate. They pose as different selves while refusing to speak for
anyone, risk the same audiences they attract, revitalize senses and emotions flattened
by mass market culture. They compose a cacophonous music which thrives on

The Medal Of Honor And Honor
In 1962 during the American Civil War, the Nation s highest decoration in combat
was established. The Medal of Honor is presented to those who go above and
beyond the Call of Duty. These Soldiers did not just display Valor, but also what we
now call Army Values. They were Loyal to their country, set on their Duty obligation
and Selflessly put our country ahead of themselves. They kept moving forward
against the enemy, never retreating, only showing the importance of Integrity for
their country, with Courage and Honor. Every part of the Medal of Honor
symbolizes everything the Soldier did to receive that decoration.
A Soldier in 1904 helped redesign the original Medal of Honor. It is described as a
five pointed star. The Medal of Honor consists of thirteen stars which signify the
thirteen colonies, Minerva symbolizes the Roman Goddess of wisdom and war. The
oak leaves stood for strength and the laurel leaves victory. The words UNITED
STATESOF AMERICA surround Minerva s head and Valor surmounted by an
eagle. On the reverse, it is engraved with the word THE CONGRESS TO followed
by the name of the recipient. This redesign was presented by a Soldier that not
only received a Medal of Honor for his duty during the American Civil War nearby
Bethesda Church, VA in 31 May 1864, but was also one of only sixteen Soldiers
that belong to the Corps of Engineers who have received the Medal of Honor.
Since the Medal of Honor was signed and established by President Abraham Lincoln
Essay On Alhambra
Introduction
Alhambra (Cast Alhambra), the palace and fortress of the Moorish monarchs of
Granada is located on Sabika hill that overlooks the city of Granada in Spain. In
Arabic Al Hamra means the red one so the name Alhambra is probably derived
from the colour of the sun dried tapia, or bricks made of fine gravel and clay, of
which the outer walls of the palace are built. Alhambra s Islamic palaces, as we know
them today, were built for the last Muslim emirs in Spain and the court of the
Nasrid dynasty. Moorish poets described it as a pearl set in emeralds, an allusion to
the colour of its buildings and the woods around them. Figure 1 the Alhambra Palace

the final impression of a never ending maze leading the eye to numerous geometrical

Arabesque
As mentioned earlier the interlacing decoration and stylised vegetal forms of
decorations, these two combined can be called Arabesque, which by definition
means surface decorations based on rhythmic linear patterns of scrolling and
interlacing foliage, tendrils or plain lines, often combined with other elements. The
plant ornamentation in the Alhambra is encouraged by the constant references to
heaven as the garden of happiness. Examples of plants forming large adorning
elements on walls can be seen all around the walls of the Sala de la Barca (Boat
Room) in the form of engraved tree trunks with numerous leaves and fruits. Figure 7

Descriptive Statistics In Table 2
After conducting an analysis of descriptive statistics, as found in Table I, the results
reveal that $224.6 million dollars (M=$4.16 million, SD=$2.99 million) was spent
across the 54 multimedia rights agreements during the 2015 2016 school year. The
smallest financial payout is $375,000 and belongs to Northern Illinois, while the
largest contract $12,358,087 million, belonging to the Universityof Texas. The
disparity among institutions becomes more evident when analyzing the multimedia
rights contracts. Of the $224.6 million dollars spent during the 2015 2016 season,
$182.3 million was spent on institutions who compete in one of the Power 5
conferences, meaning that the 31 Power 5 institutions in this study receive 81.2% of

In terms of total spending, IMG is followed by Learfield (sum = $82.3 million), JMI
(sum = $11.9 million). It is important to note that JMI is relatively new when it
comes to college multimedia rights contracts, and only has two institution, which
is reflected in their low total payout. However, as illustrated in Table VI, JMI has a
higher average payout than the two larger companies, IMG and Learfield,
(M=$5.93 million, SD= $4.7 million). JMI will see an increase in their average
payout during the 2016 2017 as well as during the 2017 2018 seasons with addition
of Clemson who will make $2.6 million to $7.7 million during the respective
seasons. IMG and Learfield are relatively similar in average payouts, with IMG
averaging $4.53 million (SD = $3.52 million) and Learfield averaging $3.74
million (SD= $1.87 million). IMG and Learfield, both with over 20 contracts a piece
have a far greater range of contract sizes, with IMG controlling both the smallest
payout, $375,000, and the largest payout, $12.36 million. The variables outlined in
Table VII were used in an attempt to explain the effect that numerous factors have on
the guaranteed rights fee that a university receives from a third party rights holder.
Those variables were separated into four categories; property related, football
performance, basketball performance, and demand indicators. From there, a Pearson

Deep Ecology Essay
Whether its watching a whale jump up in the air and seeing him crashing back into
the water, or looking at all of the trees leafs changing colors in the fall time; nature
is a beautiful thing. In the past, traditional Native Americans once cared about the
land. The grass, trees, rocks, and everything else had value. Nowadays most people
are moving away from these ideas and moving towards a capitalist mindset, only
caring about their own personal gain. Deep ecologyis defined as an environmental
movement and philosophy that regards humanlife as just one of many equal
components of a global ecosystem (Google). Arne Naess was a Norwegian

This could potentially lead to the human population becoming extinct. I m not saying
this is going to actually happen or be an immediate result of our actions but this is
what the world is coming to. The companies are the indirect problem in this issue. It s
the population s demand that keeps these companies going which makes us the direct
source to the problem. Almost everyone is caught up in the capitalist mentality, only
caring about themselves and seeing how much money they can make. And when that
happens they go out and buy more products which have negatively affected the
environment. It s a vicious cycle that doesn t seem like it is coming to a stop anytime
soon.

Nato Entry Into The European Union
Croatia is one of the most likely candidates for entry into the European Union
within the next few years and as a result it is also one of the more exciting of
Europe s emerging economies in terms of potential property price growth because
with pre EU entry comes serious foreign direct investment and political and
economic stability, and post EU entry comes greater worldwide confidence in a
country and a nation s ability to trade more directly and favourably with the rest of
the European Union.
When you add to this positive news the fact that Croatia has 5,835 kilometres of
coastline (1,777 km on the mainland with 4,058 km wrapped around its numerous
pretty islands) and a Mediterranean climate you have immeasurable tourism potential

Another advantage that the ease of availability of mortgages has is that it means the
local population has more access to property based finance and the local market in
Croatia also demands property stock...this is good news for an investor. Why?
Because tourism potential is good, but having a local market willing and able to take
real estate stock off an investor s hands in the future is even better news. Targeting
this increasingly affluent nation an investor has a chance of generating sustainable
and consistent returns from a commitment to Croatia for the medium term at least.
Another reason why property in Croatia will be big business in 2007 and beyond
is because of an increase in the number of international businesses choosing
locations such as Dubrovnik and Zagreb in Croatia as centres for near shoring
back office operations for example. Croatians are hard working, intelligent people
who will currently work for lower rates of pay that their counterparts in the EU 15
for example and some companies are establishing operations in Croatia to tap into
this labour force and are demanding commercial premises as well as pushing up local
demand for residential stock.
Levels of foreign direct investment as well as the number of international companies
setting up regional hubs in Croatia also represents a positive factor for investors to
bear in mind. FDI and more
Equiano s From The Interesting Narrative Of Olaudah
Equiano
Olaudah Equiano s From the Interesting Narrative of Olaudah Equiano is written
with the intent of ending the slave trade and aiding the abolitionists movement. His
narrative tells his personal story of kidnapping, being sold into slavery and his
experience in the middle passage. According to this account Olaudah Equiano grew
up in Africa with a large family. He was captured and sold into slaveryat age eleven.
As an adult he became an opposing voice to slavery. This autobiography was
published in Britain, with the help of abolitionists. This gives a purpose to Equiano s
writing and the purpose is shown throughout the text as Equiano tries to expose the
evil of the slave trade.
Equiano tells of two different types of slavery in his text. As he describes his
family Equiano explains that My father, besides many slaves, had a numerous
family, of which seven lived to grow up, including myself and a sister, who was the
only daughter. (Pg. 2) This is the first mention of slavery in the text bringing in the
idea that slavery did exist in Africa even before Europeans set foot on the continent.
This concept is then revisited when Equiano is kidnapped and brought to another
African country to become a domestic slave to a Chieftain. This slavery that he is

Sacred Heart College s Year 12 Biology Class
Wednesday 18 February 2015, Sacred Heart College s Year 12 biology class took a
field trip to Siren s Rock , located between Island Bay and Owhiro Bay on
Wellington s South Coast. The pattern which was being investigated across the
rocky shore was zonation. Zonation is a community pattern that occurs along an
environmental gradient and is caused by the change in an environmental factor
changing the distribution of species which results in species being present in
zones or bands. This report will focus on the relationship between, and how this
affects the zonation pattern on the shore of, the two species Cellana denticulata;
commonly known as the Denticulate Limpet, and Syprachiton pelliserpentis; the
Snakeskin Chiton. Cellana denticulata The first species studied was the Cellana
denticulata. This species is a true limpet from the marine gastropod mollusc group
and is the most commonly found on Siren s Rock. Denticulate limpets have a cone
shaped shell which is covered in ridges to increase the surface area to radiate heat
therefore increase cooling for the organism. It grips to rocks with its fleshy,
muscular foot, and also grinds the edge of their shell into the rock so they fit
perfectly together. In order to avoid dessication, the limpets pull down their shell
and clamp over a pocket of water while still submerged so they can retain the water
during low tide. C. denticulata are also homing limpets; this means that they have a
specific home mark which they live at and

Data collection and analysis proceed in parallel and interact, and because of the
nature of the material gathered, results cannot be subjected to tests of statistical
probability. For this reason, organisations have been less inclined in the past to
sponsor such research, even though the evidence produced may well reveal much
richer data than that obtained through a simple quantitative questionnaire.
Quantitative Research: Quantitative methods are those in which data are collected
and subsequently analysed through a process sometimes mockingly referred to as
bean counting (Daymon 2002). Normally this is kind of method use for surveys
with questionnaires. . The Type of Research in This Project: From analysis above,
both quantities and qualitative research have advantages and disadvantages.
Therefore our decision is use both of them in order to improve the quality of our
information. Focus group: This project was started with the qualitative research.
We conducted two focus groups. The participants were people who work at office

was in one of our project member house. A moderator leaded the discussion about
our Ikea topic. We provided drinks and snacks to the participants. The focus group

Battle Hymn Of The Tiger Mother By Amy Chua
In the Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, Amy Chua addresses two main styles of
parenting, and which style she thinks is better for children. The main parenting styles
she talks about are Western style parenting, and Chinese parenting. Amy implies that
Western parents are more lenient and less strict, and that Chinese parents are very
strict and harder on children so that they grow up to be successful. In the essay, she
claims that Chinese parents are a lot tougher and more strict on their children than
Western parents, so they raise more successful kids. Amy Chua believes that strict,
tough parentingwill usually allow their children to have more of an advantage in the
world than more lenient parenting because they help the child develop... Show more

They think the children must spend their lives recompensing their parents because
of what they did for them. On the other hand, Western parents feel they need to
always help their child, no matter what age they are or how much they have
helped them in the past. They us the reasoning that the child did not choose to be
born. Chua also thinks that she knows what is best for her children. She makes all
of the decisions for them. One example she uses is that she won t let her daughters
have boyfriends in high school because it would take up too much of their time.
She also won t let her kids be in the school play. One of the stories she tells about
her seven year old daughter shows how harsh Chua can be, but sometimes harsh
parenting works. Her daughter, Lulu, was practising the piano, and she couldn t
play the song at all using both of her hands. She could play the part with both of
her hands separate, but when she tried to play it with her hands in sync, it didn t
sound good. She tried over and over again, but she just couldn t play it. She had
wanted to give up, and when she had told her mom that she wanted to give up, she
called her lazy, pathetic, and a coward. She threatened her by not letting her eat
dinner, use the bathroom, or even get a glass of water. She also threatened to take
away Christmas and birthday presents for a few years. Finally, after hours and hours
spent working, she miraculously played the song with both of
Analysis Of Claudia Rankine s Citizen
Citizen is a narrative written to connect with the reader by telling stories in the
second person . In the novel, Citizen , Claudia Rankine uses short stories and personal
experiences to encapsulate the struggle that African American people endure when
they are thrown against a sharp white background .
The Williams sister s have had to suffer under the oppression of the lily white sport
of tennis. Throughout Serena s very successful career there have been multiple
cases where one of the judges, either a line judge or a head umpire, have cost her a
championship based on the calls that they have made. In 2004, Mariana Alves, cost
Serena a trip to the championship game after making five bad calls in a row in favor

Even the fans of tennis did not want Serena to win as they booed her and her family

Throughout the novel it is apparent that everyday instances of racism occur, causing
people of color to feel outcasted. There are two very obvious occasions where this
happened. In the first instance two African Americanwoman are in a workspace of
primarily all white co workers. When a woman they worked with got these two
names mixed up, it was stated that she had a fifty fifty chance of getting it right
insinuating that these two women are the only black ones working here. Later, the
woman who had the mix up with the names wrote an apology note; however, in the
note she stated it was our mistake and seemingly put part of the blame on the to
women. This is a primary example of how African Americans can be thrown against a
white background making them seem different than everyone else.
The novel is written in big black font on sharp white pages to show how color is
most noticeable in a predominately white society. Rankine, instead of using
normal paper for her book chose a thick, sharp white paper with a big bold black
text. This is an allusion to Zora Neale Hurston s quote, I feel most colored when I
am thrown against a sharp white background. , the colored text jumps off the glossy
white page and is more noticeable than in a traditional paperback novel. The
The Enterprise Architecture ( Ea ) Essay
Body
Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a process of describing the structure and behavior of
an enterprise (including its information systems), then planning and governing
changes to improve the integrity and flexibility of the enterprise.
Well Gartner defines EA is the process of translating business vision and strategy into
effective enterprise change by creating, communicating and improving the key
requirements, principles and models that describe the enterprise s future state and
enable its evolution .
Basically EA is all about technology planning. In other words EA is a component of
the overall strategic planning in a company. The company s strategic planning is
done by the CEO. This is where senior leader directs change in the company. When
we talk about change, change in roles and responsibilities, processes such as data and
information, existing or new applications, infrastructure and possibly technology.
Enterprise Architecture Its Purpose
As we all know the company is focused on making a profit. The purpose of EA is to
maximize investment returns, improve performance and embrace emerging
technologies that support the business.
Enable changes to the business strategy with quick response changes in enabling
processes and technology solutions.
Reduces redundancy, hence lower total cost of ownership.
Achieves economies of scale by sharing services.
To go further in to what is enterprise architecture a lot depends on sort of framework
we use. There are lot of
Duality And Duality In The Call Of The Wild
Duality in The Call of the Wild In the novel Call of the Wild, Buck, the protagonist
struggles with the constant duality between his Love of a Man and his pull towards
savagery. The civilization that greeted Buck in the Santa Clara Valley was one that
was based on Southern Hospitality, but the savagery that slowly ripped and
consumed Buck was one of an unforgiving nature, destroying anyone or anything that
was unfortunate enough to see it. One major confliction Buck battles with is his Love
of a Man while he is in the presence of civilization. In the beginning of the novel,
while Buck is still on Judge Miller s place, London states, His father, a huge saint
bernard, had been the judge s inseparable companion, and Buck bid fair to follow
in the way of his father (12). Buck enjoyed being in the company of the Judge s
family and was comfortable in the ways of civilization. On page 23, the novel
states, Francois s whip snapped less frequently, and Perrault even honored Buck by
lifting up his feet and carefully examining them. When Perrault did this, it made
Buck feel that love of a man that he strives for. Later in the novel, John Thornton
saved Buck from his previous owners Hal, Charles, and Mercedes, and took care of
Buck until his wounds healed and he regained his strength. But love that was feverish
and burning, that was adoration, that was madness,it had taken John Thornton to
arouse (58). Buck had never experienced true love for a man, all his previous
Characteristics Of Odysseus
As a kid, think of that one superhero that was on the TV or in comic books. What
are some qualities that they had? Maybe Superman came to mind, who was so
strong that he could lift up entire buildings in the grasp of one hand, or stop a
moving train from falling off a broken bridge. It could have been the Flash, who had
the ability to run around the world in seconds. He could run so fast that earth would
spin in the opposite direction. Both of these heroes would use their abilities for good,
saving innocent people from villains and natural disasters. They have standout
qualities that make them the heroes that they are. There could be people who come to
mind that may not have these superpowers, but are still considered heroes. For

If he had not told the cyclops the false name, than all of the other cyclops would
have come down to help the injured cyclops, and his crew and him would have
ended up being killed. In this situation, Odysseus was able to save the lives of him
and his crew by thinking of a way shut down one of Polyphemus defenses. The way
he does this is not obvious, and requires cleverness to think it up. This plays into
his image as a hero. Odysseus cleverness helps him get out of many situations,
which but only leads into more of his favorable qualities. One of those qualities
being his great leadership and his ability to guide his crew out of difficult
situations. An example of Odysseus leadership in The Iliad is when Odysseus
comes up with the idea to attack troy with the trojan horse. The city of troy was
enclosed in walls, making it very difficult for Odysseus to attack them. They would
need a great plan in order for them to be able to attack. This is where Odysseus
steps in. He comes up with the idea to create the trojan horse, and put his men
inside. The trojans then take this horse inside their city, and believe that it is a gift
from the spartans. The men inside the horse then come out during the night time and
kill everybody in the city, and return victorious. This example shows exemplary
leadership by Odysseus, because he comes up a brilliant plan to get inside the city,
and then takes his army to victory. If nobody had
Historical Inaccuracies In Kingdom Of Heaven

Christians and Muslims because it s the Holy Land. I will be explaining the
inaccuracies of the longbow, Jerusalem geography, and the process in becoming a

Comparing O-Lan And The Virtuous Woman
Throughout the complicated web of humanity, we have had many people that are
recognized today as great. From Christopher Columbus to Madonna, fame and
recognition have graced many great members of our society. But many more
members of our society, that deserve respect, don t receive it. This was often the
case in the past for women, as they were not treated equally to men. Yet the women
of these times had a lot of value, especially compared to the praise they were given.
Two examples of women of this quality are O lan from The Good Earth, and the
Virtuous womanfrom Proverbs 31:10 31. Both O lan and The Virtuous Woman have
many similarities and a few differences. Both of them provide a lot of value in the
relationships that they are a part of, both romantically and platonically. These woman
are both models that not only women, but all people should aspire to be like.... Show

For example, neither of them need to be spoiled. O lan spends much of her life in
poverty, from her early days as a slave to the days of her and Wang Lung begging

Proverbs 31:11 12 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall
have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
This verse shows that The Virtuous Woman is like O lan in respect to her humility
and acceptance of life. Another way that these characters are similar is there
tendency to give to their families. O lan and the virtuous woman always make sure
that their family are taken care of. These good qualities are shared between the two
characters, highlighting both of their

The war was fought from 1922 1926 between the republic of australia
(Republicans) and the Queensland Republic (Queenies). The war was caused
when Queensland, largely the east part of Australia, seceded from the newly
declared Republic Australia. This created a feeling of superiority from Queensland
to the western counterparts. After western australians were elected into office, this
led to the succession. Although the war was fought in superiority, aboriginal
equality was a vital part of the war. Australia used the apartheid system for years
before General Rainford declared the Aboriginal Edict during the war. This made
Rainford highly unpopular in the east. During the war, Rainford stepped forward,
asking to create a truce. The Queensland officials refused to go to Perth, the new
capital, for the convention, which led to Rainford traveling to Brisbane. Once
reaching Brisbane, the Queensland officials refused to sit at a table with the
aboriginals until it was promised that no body parts would touch the table. The
officials continued to treat the aboriginals with disrespect, even going as far to call
the aboriginals savages, which angered Rainford. Before leaving, he called the
officials fat cats and stormed out. On August seventh, the Queensland army of four
thousand bombed the republican of one thousand four hundred at Fort Lasseter.
Queensland walked from the war victorious on August tenth. By then, the new
Republic of Queensland s flag was flying proudly above the fort. General Patrick

Environmentalism Personal Statement
I doubt anyone will contest that environmentalism is an elitist field. There are
many reasons for this. To be honest, I am a big ole city slicker. But in field research

middle of the summer will be uncomfortable. I also have yet to do hardcore aquatic

comfortable. I think this program can provide something my classes could not:
comfort in a scientific environment.

Medical Differences Between The Civil War And Spanish...
Nareg D Mr. Haveron Final Essay 16 March 2015 Medical Differences between the
Civil War and Spanish American War The nineteenth century held one of the most
medically appalling wars, as well as one of the most medically innovative wars.
The Civil war is considered a terrible time period for medical equipment as well as
surgeons. Many soldiers who had been fighting in the Civil War were killed by
sicknesses including diarrhea and pneumonia. Surgeons, who had minimum medical
experience, were taking care of the wounded soldiers at the time. The idea of
sanitizing and sterilizing equipment that was used on a patient beforehand was not
known by the inexperienced surgeons. Only a few years later came the Spanish
American war, which showed a vast improvement in the medical field. During the
Spanish American War many important inventions were created. These include the
invention of the x ray, the discovery of the germ theory, and the discovery of the
antiseptic method. Both of these discoveries made it much easier for Surgeons to
operate on the wounded soldiers. Another beneficial factor that made the Spanish
American War more medically advanced then the civil war was the service of
female nurses. The Nurses provided a lot of help for the surgeons at times when
there was a lot of work, and assistance was needed. It is clear that the medicinal
techniques used during the Civil War were much less advanced than those used
during the Spanish American War. The North

Since the rise of the New Deal American political consultants have become a sought

models of political change, thus leaving candidates the need to widely promote their

Romeo And Juliet Last Scene Essay
I chose the last scene of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, the death scene
of Romeo after he sees Juliet die , as the material I wanted to transform using
Grotowski s influence for my solo theatre piece . I felt that this particular scene
really involved the use of raw emotion. The general tone of this particular scene is
quite somber and dark, as Romeo sees his loved one dead , and there is an overall
sense of longing as Romeo relives the moments him and Juliet shared together, as
well as longing for their once strong bond and her presence. I decided to write my
own monologue from Romeo s perspective based on the scene, and to preserve the
main ideas and story of the scene to a large extent, whilst tweaking the original

After doing so I decided to take a slightly different perspective on the scene, where
as well as outlining the despair of Romeo and the longing he feels for Juliet, I
would outline other feelings not explored in the actual scene such as the regret
(and possible short term satisfaction) he felt in killing Tybalt and Paris who he felt
were tearing them apart. Because of this I felt an emphasis on voice, physicality
and raw emotion, which Grotowski pushed to bring out in his theory of Poor
Theatre , would suit this scene greatly. In addition, this feeling of regret, anger and
hatred he feels after killing the two would enable me to create an uneasy, dark
atmosphere for the piece. I read a monologue based on the last scene and used it as
a stimulus for my devised monologue . I also watched a theatre production on
YouTube based on that very scene of Romeo and Juliet to understand the story
better while developing further ideas about how to form the piece. This was a
dark interpretation of the last scene, and it helped me form the idea of setting the
play in a graveyard where Juliet was buried while I addressed her as if she was alive
and reindulged in Romeo s memories with

Narrative Style of Truman Capote s In Cold Blood
In Cold Blood Narrative Style Capote s structure in In Cold Blood is a subject that
deserves discussion. The book is told from two alternating perspectives, that of the
Clutter family who are the victims, and that of the two murderers, Dick Hickock and
Perry Smith. The different perspectives allow the reader to relive both sides of the
story; Capote presents them without bias. Capote masterfully utilizes the third person
omniscient point of view to express the two perspectives. The non chronological

This nonfiction work is for the most part unbiased. Capote s extensive research on
this real life event is not marred by his own personal feelings about the crime
committed. The fact that he tells both sides of the story adds to the objectivity.
Capote doesn t render judgment for two reasons: it is important for the reader to
draw conclusions about the philosophical sociological psychological circumstances
of the mass murder, and Capote concluded that there should be no interference with
the readers judgmental process (Reed 107). The narrator, up to the criminals day
of execution, shows no bias whatsoever; the trial could have been an easy
opportunity for the narrator to express his own opinions on how the criminals
should be punished. Capote is adamant in giving the facts to the reader directly and
letting the reader formulate his or her own opinion. For example, of the death
sentence, Capote writes, In March 1965, after [Perry] Smith and [Dick] Hickock
had been confined in their death row cells almost two thousand days, the Kansas
Supreme Court decreed that their lives must end between midnight and 2:00 A.M.,
Wednesday, April 14, 1965 (336). The third person point of view also reaffirms
Capote s neutrality. In addition, this viewpoint adds credibility to the piece of
literature because there are few, if any, dissenting opinions of
Emotions And The Human Race
There are many answers to why emotions are important. Emotions serve several
purposes. Emotions play a vital role in how we think and behave. Emotions influence
our actions, our outlook, and our personal characteristics. Emotions help us grow and
survive. Emotions help us make decisions. Emotions help people understand one
another. The list goes on and on because emotions are key to the existence of the
human race. Without emotions the human race would be unable to function
physically or mentally.
According to the evolutionary approach to emotions, emotions are very important.

Hardwired emotions are associated with the nervous system. It s detection of stimuli
and recognition of stimuli helps to decide what to do and then do it. Without this we
would not be able to respond to emotional encounters. For example, we need the
stimulus, to thalamus, to emotion and response to be able to react when we see a man
with a gun. Without this brain and body connection to emotions, you wouldn t be
able to respond to threatening situations, decreasing your chances of survival. The
biological approach to emotions is important because it connects the brain to the body
in order to help further the survival of a species through interpretation of a situation
and reacting to it.
The cognitive approach to emotions explains how people s emotions depend on
their appraisal of an occurrence. Appraisal of a situation can determine the
relevance of a situation. There are two types of appraisal, primary and secondary
appraisal. They can help determine whether a situation is beneficial to someone and
if so how they might benefit from the situation or if a situation is dangerous and if so
how to cope. Appraisals are quick. The cognitive part of this is the emotion that
occurs from the situation. For example, when you feel something, rather than just
reacting quickly, reflecting on what appraisal you made leads you to that feeling. If
you change the appraisal, you can change how you feel. The feeling attached to that
appraisal determines
Genesis 1 And Ancient Egyptian Creation Myths Summary
In the article Genesis 1 and Ancient Egyptian Creation Myths, the author, Gordon H.
Johnston, explains the similarities between Genesis 1 and Egyptian myths by
explaining the beginnings of the myths and magical light. The thesis of this article
states that there are a number of Egyptologists that note similarities among Genesis 1
and myths from Egypt (Johnston, 179). Furthermore, the author sums up significant
findings from Egyptian records and makes an effort to available for others to absorb
(Johnston, 180). The author notes a variety of similarities between Egyptian and

However, Genesis 1 begins when God illuminated the world (Johnston, 189 190).
According to Genesis 1, the sun was created after light. The creation of light wasn t
a demonstration of God s work, but of his capacity to lead (Johnston, 187).
The author mentions that Genesis 1 and Mesopotamian the origins of the universe are
similar. In Egyptian text, creation is acted, through existence of creatures, and then
considered. In Mesopotamian documents, scholars notice a mix of creation and
action through affection and language (Johnston, 188). Genesis 1 only considers
ideas followed by action, which is the reverse order of Egyptian creation myths
(Johnston, 189). Genesis 1 refuses the idea of worshipping more than one god of
several earth elements. The author emphasizes the fact that Genesis 1 does not detach
itself from Egyptian s physical features (Johnston, 191). During the start of creation,
the Egyptians were convinced that water decreased and the primordial mound
became visible and Atum came into existence (Johnston, 189). The presence of Atum,
the water mentioned in Genesis 1 diminishes with supervision of God, who makes
and uncovers Earth. God was not restricted in his mound notable for its sanctuary, but

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Research Paper
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome When it comes to the reproductive system there are
a book full, from A to Z of diseases that affect both men and women. Some
genetically inherited, and others that are sexual transmitted, and of course those
that are so rare you can see the name of them and ask yourself, Wait, what? because
of the more then difficult spelling of the names of the disease and the areas that the
diseases affect or their symptoms, they can be quite a shock to some. Now, there
are a few diseases of the reproductive system that are also very common, but are
found in woman only. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is one of those diseases.
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome also known as PCOS affatreround 5 million women
in the United States alone; among those women affected are girls as young as 11
years old. This disease primarily affects women who are in their childbearing ages.
PCOS, although is being researched, is still unknown on how something like this can
happen. However researchers believe that because there is usually a high level of
insulin in the women who are diagnosed with... Show more content on

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome occurs when the ovaries produce more androgen
hormones or male hormones than progesterone hormones or the female hormones.
When there is a high level of the androgen hormone this decreases the release of the
eggs during regular ovulation, causing the infertility as well as some of the common
signs of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, that is infertility or the inability to get
pregnant, in which PCOS is actually the leading cause to women with infertility,
acne, Hirsutism which is the increase of body hair in specific parts of the body, and

In this paper we implement Triple DES algorithms in which the plain text is
encoded using various binary coded decimal systems such as 8421, 7421, 5421,
excess 3, gray code etc...before encrypting it and then observe the avalanche effect.
Variations in the avalanche affect are observed in the results. Experimental results
exhibit a higher avalanche effect when the plain text is encoded in some of the binary
coded decimal systems.
Keywords: Data Encryption Standard (DES), Triple DES (3DES), Avalanche effect,
Binary code.
1.INTRODUCTION
Information security is of prime concern as data is being transmitted digitally. A
system must provide the essential security services such as authentication, data
integrity, data confidentiality, non repudiation, access control, availability [1].
Cryptography is the study of techniques that provide a means for secure
communication. It enables the transmission of the information over insecure
channels. It ensures that the data is being accessed or is understood by the authorized
persons only. Encryption algorithms are one such mechanism that provide the data
security. They are used to encode the plain text into a ciphertext which is not in a
readable format. The initial input data is known as the plain text. The scrambling of
the data in the plain text using various substitution and permutation mechanisms is
encryption. The scramble data obtained is not readable and is the cipher text.
Similarities Between Macbeth And Lady Macbeth
Macbeth is about a man s yearning for power, and the unforgiving, homicidal acts
that he commits in order to gain it. In addition to that, this story equally focuses on
his power hungry wife and her extreme desire for control. Both Macbeth and Lady
Macbeth are connected to each other by more than just marriage. Shakespeare
develops an interesting relationship that discovers the failures of not one person, but
a spirit made up of two. The focal point is heavily on this unity within the plot of
Macbeth, where the roles of Macbethand Lady Macbeth are defied by the
stereotypical genderroles. During the first act, Lady Macbeth exemplifies how
Shakespeare plays with incorporating different, not known characteristics of a
female within her. In scene five, Lady Macbeth is talking to herself. She is about
to go talk to Macbeth about murdering Duncan. She says, Come, you spirits / That
tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, / And fill me from the crown to the toe
top full / Of direst cruelty (47 50). Lady Macbeth s brief monologue suggests that
women are not normally evil; contrary to that, men are. Lady Macbeth continuously
pushes Macbeth to kill Duncan so he can become king, and even though he cannot
murder Duncan, she ridicules him and calls him a coward for failing to do what she
demanded. Nonetheless, the supposed spirits she was calling to did not make her
bitter or evil, rather, she did that herself because she was the one who conjured up the
idea of killing the king.
Comparing Tristan And Isolde Vs. Lancelot And Guinevere
Love can be a person s greatest gift or curse that will bring them to their demise. It
infects their mind, controls their actions and consumes their thoughts with the
singular obsession of being around their love. In the love stories, Tristan and Isolde
and Lancelot and Guinevere, the characters face problems of the soul, and that bring
about monumental repercussions to everyone around them. In both of these works,
the characters experience loving someone out of reach. Their loveis taboo; it will
never be accepted because of their circumstances. This causes a rift in their stream
of normality and forces actions to be made. Love triangles emerge since the
characters are trying to find a way to achieve their goals but still keep what they
have. In both of the stories, Tristan and Isolde love each other similarly to Lancelot
and Guinevere. All they can think about is each other. (insert quote). Lancelot went
behind his king s back to be with Guinevere just like Tristan. Both of them knew that
each of their kings was with the woman they love, but both realized that no matter
what they did their relationship would be forever confined to the shackles of secrecy,
darting glances of affection and sporadic moments of privacy. The relationship
between the enamored men and their kings is different. Tristan was the stepson of the
king, and it hurt him, even more, to see his beloved with his father. While on the
other hand, Lancelot s situation was a little different.
The War Of The Creek War
American Hitler
Andrew Jackson was the by any means type of American, who had no real concern
for the long term effects of his actions. He would gladly slaughter a tribe of Natives
to further U.S. holdings, as a matter of fact, he did, several in fact. However,
although Jackson committed a great deal of such atrocities, some of which are
incredibly well known, he s still viewed as, above all else, a national hero by some
in the present day. Prior to Jackson s presidency, wherein the great majority of well
known Jackson driven atrocities against the Natives occur, Jackson proved to be a
monster for the Natives. After the Creek War, Jackson happily punished the Creeks,
whether they be friend or foe. The Creek War was originally an internal conflict
between two subsets of the Creek people, but Jackson saw this as an opportunity to
force the Natives to cede land. Much of the conflict was between the Lower Creeks,
whom Jackson would eventually ally with, and the Upper Creeks, A.K.A. the Red
Sticks, who, unlike the Lower Creeks, were highly opposed to the U.S.
encroachment and subsequent assimilation. As time passed and conflict progressed
amidst the Creek people, outside involvement became an integral part of the war.
Militant forces from several southern states amassed forces to combat the Red Sticks.
Jackson himself, on Tennessee s behalf, led a party of approximately 1,000 men
along with an additional contingent of Cherokee warriors. After his, and America s,

Nato Entry Into The European Union Croatia is one of the most likely candidates for entry into the European Union within the next few years and as a result it is also one of the more exciting of Europe s emerging economies in terms of potential property price growth because with pre EU entry comes serious foreign direct investment and political and economic stability, and post EU entry comes greater worldwide confidence in a country and a nation s ability to trade more directly and favourably with the rest of the European Union. When you add to this positive news the fact that Croatia has 5,835 kilometres of coastline (1,777 km on the mainland with 4,058 km wrapped around its numerous pretty islands) and a Mediterranean climate you have immeasurable tourism potential ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another advantage that the ease of availability of mortgages has is that it means the local population has more access to property based finance and the local market in Croatia also demands property stock...this is good news for an investor. Why? Because tourism potential is good, but having a local market willing and able to take real estate stock off an investor s hands in the future is even better news. Targeting this increasingly affluent nation an investor has a chance of generating sustainable and consistent returns from a commitment to Croatia for the medium term at least. Another reason why property in Croatia will be big business in 2007 and beyond is because of an increase in the number of international businesses choosing locations such as Dubrovnik and Zagreb in Croatia as centres for near shoring back office operations for example. Croatians are hard working, intelligent people who will currently work for lower rates of pay that their counterparts in the EU 15 for example and some companies are establishing operations in Croatia to tap into this labour force and are demanding commercial premises as well as pushing up local demand for residential stock. Levels of foreign direct investment as well as the number of international companies setting up regional hubs in Croatia also represents a positive factor for investors to bear in mind. FDI and more

Equiano s From The Interesting Narrative Of Olaudah Equiano Olaudah Equiano s From the Interesting Narrative of Olaudah Equiano is written with the intent of ending the slave trade and aiding the abolitionists movement. His narrative tells his personal story of kidnapping, being sold into slavery and his experience in the middle passage. According to this account Olaudah Equiano grew up in Africa with a large family. He was captured and sold into slaveryat age eleven. As an adult he became an opposing voice to slavery. This autobiography was published in Britain, with the help of abolitionists. This gives a purpose to Equiano s writing and the purpose is shown throughout the text as Equiano tries to expose the evil of the slave trade. Equiano tells of two different types of slavery in his text. As he describes his family Equiano explains that My father, besides many slaves, had a numerous family, of which seven lived to grow up, including myself and a sister, who was the only daughter. (Pg. 2) This is the first mention of slavery in the text bringing in the idea that slavery did exist in Africa even before Europeans set foot on the continent. This concept is then revisited when Equiano is kidnapped and brought to another African country to become a domestic slave to a Chieftain. This slavery that he is first sold into seems to be civil and humanizing for the slaves, similar to an indentured servant, it is said that This man had two wives and some children, and they all used me extremely well, and did all they could to

Sacred Heart College s Year 12 Biology Class Wednesday 18 February 2015, Sacred Heart College s Year 12 biology class took a field trip to Siren s Rock , located between Island Bay and Owhiro Bay on Wellington s South Coast. The pattern which was being investigated across the rocky shore was zonation. Zonation is a community pattern that occurs along an environmental gradient and is caused by the change in an environmental factor changing the distribution of species which results in species being present in zones or bands. This report will focus on the relationship between, and how this affects the zonation pattern on the shore of, the two species Cellana denticulata; commonly known as the Denticulate Limpet, and Syprachiton pelliserpentis; the Snakeskin Chiton. Cellana denticulata The first species studied was the Cellana denticulata. This species is a true limpet from the marine gastropod mollusc group and is the most commonly found on Siren s Rock. Although the war was fought in superiority, aboriginal equality was a vital part of the war. Australia used the apartheid system for years before General Rainford declared the Aboriginal Edict during the war. This made Rainford highly unpopular in the east. During the war, Rainford stepped forward, asking to create a truce. The Queensland officials refused to go to Perth, the new capital, for the convention, which led to Rainford traveling to Brisbane. The Civil war is considered a terrible time period for medical equipment as well as surgeons. Many soldiers who had been fighting in the Civil War were killed by sicknesses including diarrhea and pneumonia. Surgeons, who had minimum medical experience, were taking care of the wounded soldiers at the time. The idea of sanitizing and sterilizing equipment that was used on a patient beforehand was not known by the inexperienced surgeons. Only a few years later came the Spanish American war, which showed a vast improvement in the medical field. During the Spanish American War many important inventions were created. These include the invention of the x ray, the discovery of the germ theory, and the discovery of the antiseptic method. Both of these discoveries made it much easier for Surgeons to operate on the wounded soldiers. Another beneficial factor that made the Spanish American War more medically advanced then the civil war was the service of female nurses. The Nurses provided a lot of help for the surgeons at times when there was a lot of work, and assistance was needed. It is clear that the medicinal techniques used during the Civil War were much less advanced than those used during the Spanish American War. The North

Because of this I felt an emphasis on voice, physicality and raw emotion, which Grotowski pushed to bring out in his theory of Poor Theatre , would suit this scene greatly. In addition, this feeling of regret, anger and hatred he feels after killing the two would enable me to create an uneasy, dark atmosphere for the piece. I read a monologue based on the last scene and used it as a stimulus for my devised monologue . I also watched a theatre production on YouTube based on that very scene of Romeo and Juliet to understand the story better while developing further ideas about how to form the piece. For example, when you feel something, rather than just reacting quickly, reflecting on what appraisal you made leads you to that feeling. If you change the appraisal, you can change how you feel. The feeling attached to that appraisal determines
  • 39. Genesis 1 And Ancient Egyptian Creation Myths Summary In the article Genesis 1 and Ancient Egyptian Creation Myths, the author, Gordon H. Johnston, explains the similarities between Genesis 1 and Egyptian myths by explaining the beginnings of the myths and magical light. The thesis of this article states that there are a number of Egyptologists that note similarities among Genesis 1 and myths from Egypt (Johnston, 179). Furthermore, the author sums up significant findings from Egyptian records and makes an effort to available for others to absorb (Johnston, 180). The author notes a variety of similarities between Egyptian and Genesis 1 versions of creation in comparison to Mesopotamian myths, which were previous ignored by scholars for a number of reasons including simple references from Mesopotamia,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, Genesis 1 begins when God illuminated the world (Johnston, 189 190). According to Genesis 1, the sun was created after light. The creation of light wasn t a demonstration of God s work, but of his capacity to lead (Johnston, 187). The author mentions that Genesis 1 and Mesopotamian the origins of the universe are similar. In Egyptian text, creation is acted, through existence of creatures, and then considered. In Mesopotamian documents, scholars notice a mix of creation and action through affection and language (Johnston, 188). Genesis 1 only considers ideas followed by action, which is the reverse order of Egyptian creation myths (Johnston, 189). Genesis 1 refuses the idea of worshipping more than one god of several earth elements. The author emphasizes the fact that Genesis 1 does not detach itself from Egyptian s physical features (Johnston, 191). During the start of creation, the Egyptians were convinced that water decreased and the primordial mound became visible and Atum came into existence (Johnston, 189). The presence of Atum, the water mentioned in Genesis 1 diminishes with supervision of God, who makes and uncovers Earth. God was not restricted in his mound notable for its sanctuary, but in charge of all of mother Earth (Johnston,

Some genetically inherited, and others that are sexual transmitted, and of course those that are so rare you can see the name of them and ask yourself, Wait, what? because of the more then difficult spelling of the names of the disease and the areas that the diseases affect or their symptoms, they can be quite a shock to some. Now, there are a few diseases of the reproductive system that are also very common, but are found in woman only. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is one of those diseases. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome also known as PCOS affatreround 5 million women in the United States alone; among those women affected are girls as young as 11 years old. This disease primarily affects women who are in their childbearing ages. PCOS, although is being researched, is still unknown on how something like this can happen. However researchers believe that because there is usually a high level of insulin in the women who are diagnosed with... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome occurs when the ovaries produce more androgen hormones or male hormones than progesterone hormones or the female hormones. When there is a high level of the androgen hormone this decreases the release of the eggs during regular ovulation, causing the infertility as well as some of the common signs of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, that is infertility or the inability to get pregnant, in which PCOS is actually the leading cause to women with infertility, acne, Hirsutism which is the increase of body hair in specific parts of the body, and weight gain or

In this paper we implement Triple DES algorithms in which the plain text is encoded using various binary coded decimal systems such as 8421, 7421, 5421, excess 3, gray code etc...before encrypting it and then observe the avalanche effect. Variations in the avalanche affect are observed in the results. Experimental results exhibit a higher avalanche effect when the plain text is encoded in some of the binary coded decimal systems. Keywords: Data Encryption Standard (DES), Triple DES (3DES), Avalanche effect, Binary code. 1.INTRODUCTION Information security is of prime concern as data is being transmitted digitally. A system must provide the essential security services such as authentication, data integrity, data confidentiality, non repudiation, access control, availability [1]. Cryptography is the study of techniques that provide a means for secure communication. It enables the transmission of the information over insecure channels. It ensures that the data is being accessed or is understood by the authorized persons only. Encryption algorithms are one such mechanism that provide the data security. They are used to encode the plain text into a ciphertext which is not in a readable format. The initial input data is known as the plain text. The scrambling of the data in the plain text using various substitution and permutation mechanisms is encryption. The scramble data obtained is not readable and is the cipher text.
  • 42. Similarities Between Macbeth And Lady Macbeth Macbeth is about a man s yearning for power, and the unforgiving, homicidal acts that he commits in order to gain it. In addition to that, this story equally focuses on his power hungry wife and her extreme desire for control. Both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are connected to each other by more than just marriage. Shakespeare develops an interesting relationship that discovers the failures of not one person, but a spirit made up of two. The focal point is heavily on this unity within the plot of Macbeth, where the roles of Macbethand Lady Macbeth are defied by the stereotypical genderroles. During the first act, Lady Macbeth exemplifies how Shakespeare plays with incorporating different, not known characteristics of a female within her. In scene five, Lady Macbeth is talking to herself. She is about to go talk to Macbeth about murdering Duncan. She says, Come, you spirits / That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, / And fill me from the crown to the toe top full / Of direst cruelty (47 50). Lady Macbeth s brief monologue suggests that women are not normally evil; contrary to that, men are. Lady Macbeth continuously pushes Macbeth to kill Duncan so he can become king, and even though he cannot murder Duncan, she ridicules him and calls him a coward for failing to do what she demanded. Nonetheless, the supposed spirits she was calling to did not make her bitter or evil, rather, she did that herself because she was the one who conjured up the idea of killing the king.

It infects their mind, controls their actions and consumes their thoughts with the singular obsession of being around their love. In the love stories, Tristan and Isolde and Lancelot and Guinevere, the characters face problems of the soul, and that bring about monumental repercussions to everyone around them. In both of these works, the characters experience loving someone out of reach. Their loveis taboo; it will never be accepted because of their circumstances. This causes a rift in their stream of normality and forces actions to be made. Love triangles emerge since the characters are trying to find a way to achieve their goals but still keep what they have. In both of the stories, Tristan and Isolde love each other similarly to Lancelot and Guinevere. All they can think about is each other. (insert quote). Lancelot went behind his king s back to be with Guinevere just like Tristan. Both of them knew that each of their kings was with the woman they love, but both realized that no matter what they did their relationship would be forever confined to the shackles of secrecy, darting glances of affection and sporadic moments of privacy. The relationship between the enamored men and their kings is different. Tristan was the stepson of the king, and it hurt him, even more, to see his beloved with his father. While on the other hand, Lancelot s situation was a little different.
  • 44. The War Of The Creek War American Hitler Andrew Jackson was the by any means type of American, who had no real concern for the long term effects of his actions. He would gladly slaughter a tribe of Natives to further U.S. holdings, as a matter of fact, he did, several in fact. However, although Jackson committed a great deal of such atrocities, some of which are incredibly well known, he s still viewed as, above all else, a national hero by some in the present day. Prior to Jackson s presidency, wherein the great majority of well known Jackson driven atrocities against the Natives occur, Jackson proved to be a monster for the Natives. After the Creek War, Jackson happily punished the Creeks, whether they be friend or foe. The Creek War was originally an internal conflict between two subsets of the Creek people, but Jackson saw this as an opportunity to force the Natives to cede land. Much of the conflict was between the Lower Creeks, whom Jackson would eventually ally with, and the Upper Creeks, A.K.A. the Red Sticks, who, unlike the Lower Creeks, were highly opposed to the U.S. encroachment and subsequent assimilation. As time passed and conflict progressed amidst the Creek people, outside involvement became an integral part of the war. Militant forces from several southern states amassed forces to combat the Red Sticks. Jackson himself, on Tennessee s behalf, led a party of approximately 1,000 men along with an additional contingent of Cherokee warriors. After his, and America s, first
