Margaret Sanger is a birth control activist, sex educator, writer, and nurse. Sanger gave a famous
speech on March 30th, 1925 titled The Children s Era which is part of the Sixth International Neo
Malthusian and Birth Control Conference. It took place at a public meeting in Scottish Rite Hall in
New York. She believes that the twentieth century should be the era of the childwhere the current
generation should welcome children into a healthy and happy world. She believes that parents
should be educated through a series of tests to help them understand and realise what it is like to
be a parent and what all it takes. I believe this is a good speech because Sanger convy s her readers
by the use of repetition, the use of an analogy, her use of facts, and credibility to other sources.

by Gail Godwin uses serval literary devices to show the complex emotions of a woman who is
being overcome with anxiety and depression and how it affects her relationship with her
husband and young son. Some of these literary devices include writing in the third person, using
a foil character, contextual symbols, and conventional symbols. The first, literary device is the
use of a third person narrator. This is beneficial to the story because the readers get a broader
understanding of what each character is doing.. This is important because the main character

The culture in and surrounding Uganda has fascinated me for a year or two now. I went to
Kabale Uganda for a mission trip during my spring break of senior year. I was able to teach the
students there for two weeks with my team and fell in love with it instantly. That trip spurred my
desire to teach in less fortunate countries once I finish college.
Once of the most significant differences between the Ugandan educational system and the
American educational system that I saw was that access to education was so limited in Uganda. In
1997 Uganda initiated what they called Universal Primary Education (UPE), which aims to
decrease poverty by making primary (elementary) school free, there by more accessible to it s
students. (Bategeka and Okurut, 2006). The problem with UPE is that the government decides
what schools will be part of the UPE program. Which means, the more remote areas may not
have a school that is supported by UPE in walking distance. There is no other form of
transportation for these students, it is highly uncommon for a family to own a car, and if they re
extremely fortunate they may own a bicycle. This forces the students to go to a boarding school

TONE This Canto describes the first real level of hell. The canto is very poetic and makes use of
many similes, metaphors, and adjectives. There is also no shortage of hyperboles. The canto
begins by describing the qualities of the second circle by describing the voice of the damned rose in
a bestial moan, (v 3) referring to the damned rose as those lovers driven by passion who were
condemned for their acts of adultery.
In verse 25, Dante describes the choir of anguish to be like a wound with a simile. Next, by
using a metaphor, he describes the fate of the adulterous sinners and their punishment as being
battered eternally by the winds and storms of hell, as they were figuratively battered by the winds
of passion in their lives on earth. He describes with a simile how as cranes go over sounding their
