This is a painting I cre-
ated using the brsh tool on
photoshop. Its a recreation
of a picture I took at Smith
Rock State Park in Oregon
State. I struggled a lot
with texture while painting
this. I was fumbling around
with the settings on the
brush tool for a long time
before I eventually figured
out settings that would
work. Using a combination of
the smudge tool and differnt
brushes I was able to get
the textures that I wanted.

6. The second half of this assign-
ment was to create realistic
mockups using photoshop. We did
this to be able to complete-
ly visualize how our patterns
would look on real products.
Using photoshops more ad-
vanced tools, I was able
to create lifelike renders
of my Illustrator mockups.
For the midterm and final of
my DSGN 121 class I was tasked
with creating four seperate
pattern repeats in Adobe Il-
lustrator and applying them
to mockups of potential prod-
ucts they’d be applied to.
We Started by creating a mood
board for our pattern re-
peats. we then created a col-
or pallet based off of our mood
board. Then we worked on our
pattern repeats and mockups.
