The Airport Security Of Aviation
Charlotte s International Airport is currently ranked as the fifth busiest airport in the USA
in terms of the takeoffs as well as landings. The airport improved in ranking by one spot in both
international and national rankings recording with an average of 544,944 takeoffs and landings in
2015. Charlotte airport witnessed approximately 44.9 million travellers in the year 2015, a record
of an increase by 1 percent. Most passengers using airplane tend to use the airport to switch from
one plane to another with approximately around 80 percent of the airport s passengers
connecting and reconnecting with friends and families.
The current rise in the market demand for aviation services around the world demands
analysis of airport demand among passengers regarding the current capacity of the airports.
Therefore, it is through proper planning of future and current airport amenities that the airports
will provide adequate strengths to support the growing demand for the services of aviation
(Paylor, 2015). The future of aviation is, therefore, oblique considering the evolution of
upcoming airport facilities and infrastructure, which are factors, deliberated when defining
airport s facility requirements.
The demand capacity breakdown majorly focuses on airside and landside facilities such
as the runways apron space, taxiway, utilities as well as terminal buildings. Furthermore, demand
on airspace especially those facilities related to the capacity and

How Did The Printing Press Lead To The Rise Of The...
One of the main factors that led to the spread of the renaissance was the formation of the printing
press. If the printing press was never invented, imagine how life would be. We would not have
things like books or newspapers, and we wouldn t be able to share information quickly. To
understand the printing pressit is useful to know how it works, and to understand the significance.
In 1436 Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press. It caused rapid growth in the production
of books and caused changes in European civilization. The original printing press used a set group
of type blocks together that made words and sentences. It was in Production around 1450 ( Bellis ).
Gutenberg also printed the world s first book, the Gutenberg Bible in 1455 (Peterson). ... Show

Each word, phrase, and picture were on a separate block, making it expensive and time
consuming (Kreis). Even though block books were a huge step in transforming the printing of
books, the woodcuts would tend to split after a lot of usage so they were not really useful. In 868
CE, China created the first printed book called the Diamond Sutra . However, there is a chance
there may have been book printing occurring long before this date (Bellis). Before the printing
press, the only books that were made were highly valuable objects that only belonged to the church.
In Europe, most books were still being made by hand. Writing books by hand was a long process
and took years to complete. The invention made it more efficient to produce books and they were
cheaper. They could also print in color now. It led to a huge social and cultural revolution

Barbie Body Image Essay
When a young girl looks into the mirror and does not see the beauty of herself, but instead sees
her flaws and imperfections, her confidence drops, and so does her self worth. The leading cause
for this issue is the unrealistic body image that Barbie models to girls. Why is this happening in
our society and how can we help?
This is happening because we give our children dolls that are thin, tall, blonde, and very
unrealistic; we give our children Barbies. We are giving our children figures as role models, but
those models are impossible to attain. Barbie lives a in a perfect happy world, where she has
everything she wants and can be whatever she wants to be. That is what we all want, that is why
barbies are enticing toys. But, the problem is that young girls can start to associate the unattainable
Barbie figure with happiness. The Barbie body image is planted into their minds. When they can
not fulfill the Barbie body image, it makes them feel less confident. Sometimes eating disorders
develop because of this. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Mattel released two new Barbie outfits. In 1963, the outfit Barbie Baby Sits came with a book
entitled How to Lose Weight which advised: Don t eat! . The same book was included in another
ensemble called Slumber Party in 1965, along with a pink bathroom scale permanently set at 110
lbs., which would be around 35 lbs. underweight for a woman 5 feet 9 inches tall. Mattel received
criticism for this but said she was created thin so it would be easier for the clothes designers, and
not because she didn t eat. She was very popular for a period of time, but then started receiving
more criticism from parents that her proportions were unrealistic and there was lack of difference in

Power And Control Issues
Within a person s life there are many instances of major change as well as power and control
issues. These impact on a person in many ways, however it is difficult to choose one instance and
state that due to that event I am now... this is because change occurs gradually and while we are
impacted by events an individual cannot state that all behaviours arose from the one event. The
event may have impacted the person in a significant way and the person s behaviour changed by
these behaviours, however, they were probably re enforced over time and so became their new
behaviours (Griekspoor, 2005). Change, according to Mander et al., (2014) is an important factor

Generally, clients seek therapy when they are distressed or have been through a traumatic event,
the more distressed or vulnerable they are the more dependent on their therapists they become
and the therapists are seen to be more powerful (Zur, 2005). However, as time goes on whether
the therapists power increases, or perhaps decreases, the clients power increases, giving them more
control (Bannister, 1983; Zur, 2015). A limitation that I noted in myself is that I wasn t assertive
enough in the job, in the beginning I believed what the boss said about my qualifications and just
continued on. I worked to overcome this limitation and believe that I am doing much better with it
than I was in the beginning. This would be a limitation in therapy as it s important to be open as
possible and to set boundaries when working with clients (Hermansson, 1997; Zur,

Ethical Concerns Of Genetically Modified Organisms Essay
Ethical Concern and Genetically Modified (GM) Crops
Are Genetically Modified (GM) crops safe for environment? Might organisms and environment be
harmed by GM crops?
According to the World Health Organization (2014. 1), Genetically modified organisms (GMOs)
can be defined as organisms (i.e. plants, animals or microorganisms) in which the genetic material
(DNA) has been altered in a way that does not occur naturally by mating and/or natural
recombination. The technology is often called modern biotechnology or gene technology ,
sometimes also recombinant DNA technology or genetic engineering . Foods produced from or
using GM organisms are often referred to as GM foods. Many organic crops farming farmers are
against cultivating of GM crops because of the threat to farm land and environment however,
biotechnology companies and GM crops growing famer desire to have profit and consumer look
for low price. Thus, the debate over the environmental impact of genetically modified GM crops is
growing. Although GM crops negatively affects on some organism in environment, they reduce the
use of pesticides and increase crop yield.
Genetically Modified insect resistant crops produce the toxic substances as a results it effect non
target organism and entire ecosystem. Biodiversity has significant role to balance environment as
biodiversity decreases interaction between species decrease and ecosystem and food chain affect

Attitudes Towards American Indians
American Indians better known as the indigenous peoples of Americas. The first to occupy what is
now the United States of America were the first subordinate group to experience racism, genocide,
and discrimination. American Indians were the first minority group in America that were forced to
assimilate into western culture and forget their own cultures and traditions. Although the United
Statesdoes carry a more benign attitude towards American Indians as a minority group it is
solely because the violent history of American Indians is often overlooked and disregarded in
history. In order for American Indians to reach a state of equality there is a lot of work to be done
in order to repair the damage that was first caused to their sacred tribes.... Show more content on

I would agree that people in America do have a more benign attitude towards American Indians as a
minority group than they do towards others. Although people have more benging attitudes the
discrimination that American Indians face is often suppressed and overlooked in American History.
One prime example of this in history is the holiday Columbus Day which commemorates the day
Christopher Columbus an italian explorer arrived in America. The song mentioned in the lecture
Christians murdered indians. is a morbid song but it states the truth of the history of American
Indians. One line in the song states Columbus murdered children and now we have a holiday.
(Corporate Avenger, 2001) If columbus day celebrated the true columbus it would be celebrating a
mass murder, but American blatantly chooses to overlook the true history and meaning behind a
holiday that mocks Indian Americans. A I feel the biggest attitude people in America hold towards
indian Americans is suppression because of how much the discrimination they face is

Abstract
This essay will investigate the Austrian Energy Drink Company RedBull by analyzing the energy
drink market and determining where RedBull is positioned. I will further investigate and answer
the question: Should Red Bull continue with its marketing strategy in the United States to maintain
its market share in the rapidly growing energy drink market?
In this investigation I have used a SWOT ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fig.5 Red Bull US Sales Growth 2010 2013
The sales growth demonstrated above, however, is driven by higher consumer demand and
consumption of energy drinks as seen in Fig.2. Strong product awareness has been already
established in the United States and Red Bull has acquired an extensive and loyal consumer base
over the past years.
After analyzing the energy drink market, I came to the conclusion that Red Bull should try to
decrease its price in order to maintain the rising star position in the Boston Consulting Matrix in
which it currently is placed. New Product Development (NPD) is also crucial in order to compete
in the growing energy drink market in the United States.
Red Bull s Marketing Mix
Red Bull s marketing mix seems to harmonize based on its success. Especially the use of
sponsorship marketing was taken to the next level by the Red Bull marketing team. Today it is
almost hard to think of a sport that Red Bull does not sponsor. Their logo appears on motorbikes,
wakeboards, snowboards, formula1 cars, soccer jerseys and even high tech space suits designed for
jumping from the edge of the stratosphere. They even organize a quirky competition of homemade
flying machines to support their proposition Red Bull gives you

Classical Approach And Human Relations Approach
When looking at both the Classical Approach and the Human Relations Approach in a
comparative sense, it is easy to clearly point out the vast differences between the two
methodologies given that many of the core principles and beliefs of each organisational model are
polar opposites of eachother. However in saying that, both approaches consider themselves to be
the One best approach , which I believe to be a common flaw amongst the two.
As an employee of two companies (past and present) , I have to a certain degree experienced both
organisational models. I myself consider the human relations approach to be superior to that of the

managers and subordinates are considered equals in terms of skills and ideas they can bring to the

Language Use And Acquisition Is Affected By Social Factors...
Introduction
The aim of this research is to analyze and discover the way language is used and acquired using
the hypothesis that language use and acquisition is affected by social factors relating to
environment as well as cultural norms and values. Questions that will be explored include: In what
settings are different languages used? How are second and third languages acquired? How do
attitudes towards language learning contribute to the success or failure in learning a new language?
How does context affect language learning? What role does the availability of resources play in
second or third language acquisition? What kind of emotional and cultural ties to different
languages exist? This research was conducted through a one on one in depth interview with a
Glendon student who is Filipino and speaks Tagalog, French, and has some experience learning
sign language. The main focus of this research was to discover how the student learns and uses
Tagalog and French as secondary languages.
Literature Overview The role of how social factors affect language is becoming an increasing area
of interest. Linguist Dell Hymes coined the term communicative competence to describe the theory
that appropriate contexts for language use have on effect on use and acquisition. This is contrary to
Noam Chomsky s claim that there are innate language mechanisms and that the consideration of
social factors is not relevant to the study of linguistics (Celce Murcia, 2008 p.42). The role

Why Is Lizzie Andrew Borden Guilty
Lizzie Andrew Borden was found not guilty for the murder and mutilation of her step
mother and father. The famous poem reads Lizzie Borden took an ax and gave her mother forty
whacks, when she saw what she had done she gave her father forty one. (Rhyme) It occurred
during the 19th century when women were well known as the weaker or sly sex and at this
time it was also unheard of to put a woman on trial for this kind of crime. Although there were
no other suspects to the murder, there was no physical evidence that connected Lizzie or any
other person to the killing of her step mother and father. Lizzie Borden should have been found

After the trial began, the prosecution presented the head of an ax that was presumed to
be the murder weapon, but there was a tremendous lack of forensic evidence. Lizzie s father,
Andrew, was asleep on the couch at the time of his murder and although his gruesome murder
shocked the community, many people wanted him dead. His net worth was worth over 10
million dollars in today s money and he was also known as the wealthiest and most unpopular
man in the town. He made many enemies on his way to the top as a banker.
No one was ever convicted but circumstantial evidence connected Lizzie to the crime.
Lizzie Borden was the only suspect to this crime, and also the only other person in
the home at the time of the murders. The household guest John Morse was out visiting some
close relatives, her older sister Emma was running errands out of town, and the maid Bridget
Sullivan was washing windows. In order for an outside intruder to have done this crime, they
would ve had to hide in the house for 90 minutes or left and then returned without being seen.

Analysis Of Mark Twain s The Adventures Of Huckleberry...
CHAPTER III HUMANISM IN MARK TWAINS NOVELS A study of Mark Twain s
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is an adventure in understanding changes in America itself. The
book, at the center of American geography and consciousness, asks readers to reexamine
definitions of civilization and freedom, right and wrong, social responsibility and inhumanity.
Published in 1885, the novel recounts those pre civil war days when the controversy over
slavery, with designated slave and Free states, disfigured the face of America and its view of
itself as a land of the free. Both geographically and otherwise, the story is an examination of life
at the center: the center of America s premier river, the Mississippi in the middle of the
geographical United states, with slave states below, free states above, which is the route toward
freedom and escape for Huck and Jim; the center of one of the foremost conflicts on American
soil, slavery, which soon results in a civil war; the center of the coming of age of both a young
man and a nation that struggle to understand redefinitions of nationhood and freedom, right and
wrong; and the center of a shift from Romanticism to Realism in art and letters that would provide
for a new way for Americans to express and re create themselves. The novel offers an excellent
example of American picaresque fiction and meaningful use of dialect, although this dialect may be
difficult reading for students for whom English is not a first language. Although the final

Subliminal Messages Should Not Be Legal
Subliminal messages

Advanced Placement Psychology
Mr. Cuetara
June, 4th 2015 Abstract
Subliminal messages are messages that are perceived in the unconscious mind that most of the
time we are not aware of. These messages are mainly designed to influence that way we think and
feel. They are used to get people to buy products from their company. Subliminal messages can be
perceived auditory or visually. Subliminal messages should not be legal and should be banned from
being used in advertisement for it can lead to negative results. There should be another way to
advertise that. Doesn t involve manipulating our minds into buying the products.
Subliminal messages are messages that are either auditory or visual which is presented below the
normal limits of perception. An example of a subliminal messages would be that a message might
be inaudible to the conscious mind but may be audible to the unconscious mind, in this case a
deeper part of your mind. Subliminal messages may also be in other cases an image that is
unperceived but will be perceived deeper in your mind. To put in simpler terms, subliminal
messages are basically hypnotism that many companies may use to encourage people to buy the
product they re selling.
According to the article The Influence of Subliminal Messages , it states that subliminal messages
can influence our attitudes and behavior. Also, under certain circumstances of course, subliminal
messages may or may not have the

Lead Sinker Lab Report
This lab s problem asked how the heat capacity of a lead sinker can be determined (Bridges 192).
The hypothesis stated for the first experiment that if the lead sinker is heated in boiling water,
placed in a calorimeter, and tracked consistently for the temperature, then the heat capacity of the
lead sinker can be calculated because with the mass of the lead sinker, the original volume and
mass of the water, and before and after temperaturechecks of the water, the data collected can be
used with available formulas for heatcapacity to find the heat capacity of the lead. This statement
was not supported by the data for the first experiment because the margins of error were too great
to affirm the hypothesis. Likewise, though there wasn t a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A Cheeto Puff was used as the food sample in the second experiment. The heat capacity of the
sinker was determined by dividing the heat absorbed by the water by the sinker s temperature
change and the two values for each trial were determined to be 7.82 J/०C and 9.88 J/०C, with an
average actual specific heat capacity of 0.136 J/g०C, a 16.9% difference from the theoretical heat
capacity of lead of 0.159 J/g०C. The percent difference was too vast to support the hypothesis,
which required that heat capacity be calculated accurately with little error. For this first experiment,
performance errors that contributed to the inconsistent results were the touching of the the
thermometer to the calorimeter and continuous, unnecessary movement of the thermometer,
producing inaccurate measurements of the water temperature. Likewise, the lead sinker was left out
in the open for too long while transitioning between the hot water bath and the calorimeter, causing
heat and energy loss. In the second part of this lab, which set out to determine the caloric
capacity of the Cheeto Puff, the average calories per gram found from the two trials were 0.330
Cal/g, in comparison to the 5.71 Cal/g that was determined from the nutrition facts off the bag.

Othello Essay
English III
14 February 2017 Emilia Essay
Character development is seen in almost every character in the play Othello. Most of the
characters are seen tumbling in a downwards spiral of their former self; while other characters
are seen becoming more powerful due to the loss of power from the people above them. One of the
characters that developed from her superior s weaknesses is Iago s wife, Emilia. Emilia spends most
of her time with Othello s wife, Desdemona. Most of their conversation surrounds the topics of
gender roles in society and in their relationships. Desdemona s insecurity in her relationship leads
Emilia to find her own voice in order to defend her friend. Shakespeare utilizes ... Show more

Although Iago shoots her down; the fact that she even questioned him, shows change between Act
I Emilia and Act III Emilia. Although Emilia gave her husband the handkerchief he so very much
desired for his love; she still wondered what he had in store for her friend, Desdemona. In Act IV,
Othello hits Desdemona and they both continue in a downward spiral. At this time, Emilia and
Desdemona are really good friends and the audience sees a switch between the two.
The outspoken Desdemona is now a reserved housewife; and the reserved Emilia is now the
outspoken confidant that Desdemona relies on. She believes that her friend does not deserve the
treatment that has been served to her; so she speaks out on her problems reversing the roles placed
on them both. As Desdemona begins to settle into the housewife settings, she calls upon Iago and
Emilia recalls most of the event to her husband herself. Throughout the conversation, she even
brings up something she was too afraid to do so earlier: Iago s accusations that made you to
suspect me with the Moor. (IV.ii.173). Emilia has completely changed to a woman with an
unfiltered speech; through the heat she gained from her anger at Othello for hurting her friend
mentally and physically, she accounted some of her own relationship problems.
Admitting her own problems made it easier for her to betray her

Takeda s Chem-Barons-Personal Narrative
aito Takeda leaned his elbows upon the lacquered surface of his desk, the thick leather of his
gloves creaking as he steepled his fingers. What had once been heavy slabs of muscle in years
gone by had slowly given way to fat, but he was still a big, intimidating man. His gaze was
inscrutable, his eyes having long been replaced with soulless, reflective black lenses. A pair of
heavily augmented bodyguards stood to either side of him. They were the best money could buy,
their bodies having been turned into brutal chem tech weapons by the brilliant, albeit deranged,
scientist Singed. Takeda s inherent violence and ambition had seen him rise from humble
beginnings to become one of Zaun s most powerful chem barons, the infamous rulers of the

That was the Gray Lady. Ah, mused Takeda. Interesting. Well, I guess it proves that reputations

and instantly disappeared into shadow. Takeda s bodyguards tensed, flexing their piston
strengthened limbs in unease. Takeda glanced left and right, trying to discern her location.
Nothing. She was simply gone, vanished completely, as if she had been swallowed by the
darkness. Not bad, he said. He d heard of her power, of course, but such things are often over
exaggerated. He was pleased to see that in this case, the rumors were true. Taloned hands
grabbed him from behind, blood red nails digging into his flesh as Evelynn emerged from the
shadows. She was far stronger than she looked, and forcibly turned his head to expose his thick
neck. Her grasp was ice cold, as if warm blood no longer flowed in her veins, and her fangs were
inches from his jugular. His guards turned instantly, stepping forward to defend their master, but
Takeda raised a hand, stopping them in their tracks. He knew they would have been too slow had

The Mortgage Theories Of Real Estate
In real estate, there are two mortgage theories that are determined by jurisdiction. In title theory
states, the title of real estate remains with the lender until the loan is paid in full. The lender
owns the property and can reclaim it, should the purchaser default on the loan, by use of a non
judicial foreclosure process called a power of sale foreclosure. In lien theory states, the title
remains with the purchaser and the lender places a lien on the property. This means there is an
encumbrance on the property for the life of the loan. The lien is lifted once obligations have been
met. When obligations towards the loan are not met, a judicial foreclosure can be initiated.
(Findlaw, n.d.) There are advantages and disadvantages to both theories. Title theory states are
attractive to lenders because they can institute a power of sale foreclosure process, which does not
involve expensive and lengthy litigation. Lien theory states, on the other hand, are attractive to
buyers as it requires a judicial foreclosure process. This process can be lengthy and afford the
purchaser more opportunities to settle the debt(Hinkle, 2011, p.186). Additionally, some lenders are
cautious about lending in lien theory jurisdictions because usury laws restrict interest rates on loans
that exceed a set maximum ( Title Theory v Lien Theory, 2015).
California is a hybrid between both mortgage theories. California commonly uses deeds, instead of
mortgages, in property transfers (Hinkle,

Dramatic Irony In The Book Of Job
The Book of Job is a story like none other. A story written so that it combines the elements of a
poetic drama, wisdom literature, and tragedy. The book for the most part is split into two different
categories of literature: prose and poetry. The reader is able to see both sides of the story through
the two elements. While Godand the Advisor speak to each other in prose, Job speaks in a poetic
dialogue along with his three friends and wife, the only other characters in the story. With Job s
friends, we can really take in the dramatic irony of the entire story as they try and convince Job
he has sinned but as the reader we know the truth to the matter. The story begins and ends in a
narrative prose, which doesn t necessarily blend seamlessly in to the poetic balance of the story.
The reader is taken from a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We have the privilege of being introduced to all of the characters of the story and we know the
motivations and intentions of each side. We know that Job is sufferingnot because he has sinned
but because the Advisor wants him to turn away from God. The story becomes more personal to
the reader when we know both sides of the story and we are able to put ourselves in the
protagonists shoes and hope we would do the same as Job did. Job had every right to blame God
for allowing his life to fall to pieces, however he does the opposite. Job continues to worship the
Lord and praise His name. Job states, Naked I came out of my mother s womb, and naked shall I
return there. The LORD has given and the LORD has taken. May the LORD s name be blessed.
(Job 194) It s human instinct to place blame on something to justify what we cannot explain, but
Job loses everything and he doesn t blame God. Job s behavior is inspiring and is even more
incredible knowing that he has no idea why this is happening and does only what he knows to do:

when using robots in the military. There are also benefits from using them, but in situations like

Sonoran Desert. They take full advantage of the rainy seasons in the desert, and strengthen their
ability of absorbing and storing water; they change their appearance to adapt to the arid
environment by, for example, evolving the leaves into the spines; they adjust the photosynthesis by
separating it into two steps. All these changes that the desert plants have made allow them to
acclimatize to the harsh environmental conditions in the desert. At the same time, we have also
presented many different uses of the cacti, the contributions that they have made to both local

The Poetry Of Pablo Neruda
Ricardo EliГ©cer NeftalГ Reyes Basoalto, also known as Pablo Neruda was born on July 12, 1904
in a small town in Chile. Neruda s mother died shortly after his birth, leaving him in the care of
his father. Neruda began to write at the age of ten. Gabriela Mistral, who would later become a
Nobel Prize winner, recognized Neruda s talents by giving him books and encouragement he did
not have at home. In his early teen years, he began to publish his writings under the name of
what we know as Pablo Neruda in memory of the Czechoslovak poet, Jan Neruda, but also to

Because of Garcia Lorca s death, Neruda joined the Republican movement, starting off in Spain
then in France, Neruda worked on a collection of poems called EspaГ±a en el CorazГіn, or, Spain
in our Hearts. When these poems were written, Neruda seemed to be in a very difficult place and
it seemed like he would be for a very long time. For example, his poem, Cursed states, Bring,
bring the lamp, see the soaked earth, see the blackened little bone eaten by the flames, the
garment of murdered Spain. Just by that excerpt, you can tell that the tone of this poem is very
dark. In fact, the majority of Neruda s poems in this book seemed as if they all had the same
tone; gloomy and pessimistic. His poems reflected this tone from the 1940 s and onward,
showing the political struggle in South America. This does show that life experiences can really
affect the way that poets write. A disheartening event can lead a poet to write very depressing
poems, and vice versa. Even though Neruda wrote a lot about the political struggle, he also wrote
a lot of poems about love, such as, Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair. One love poem
that he wrote, Your Laughter, was intriguing. The poem reveals how the person in the poem is
obviously struggling in life. But, the laughter of their significant other s motivates them to keep
driving through whatever darkness they are going through, and keeps them happy as well. A small
excerpt of the poem states, My struggle

man and the natural world. With the use of two specific rhetorical devices, the poem gains
qualities that would be sorely missed without them. The use of epithets throughout the poem
allows the reader to grasp what each of the described words is meant to convey. Symbolism in
Dover Beach expands the meaning of the poem as it provides the reader with a secondary vision to
the connections made between the lines. The relationship between man and nature is vital to the
poem. With the use of rhetorical devices, the reader is able to truly understand

The superior act of living an effective life lies in the pursuit of excellent vision, to move from
where we are to where we ought to be, either as a person or as an organization. A health care
leader must motivate the organizational team, find how to work with the associates to effectively
dedicate their time and energy to achieve the identified goals and objectives through the
established vision. The team members need to buy into the vision, where they are currently doing
what the leader envisions, the leader must encourage them, keep them on track and set standards
for the team by setting goals and objective, flowing from the vision. This will enable the leader to
move the health care organization to the expected performance level within the set time period.
The leader must ensure that individual responsibilities of the associates are identified, motivated
and resources provided to achieve the identified goals. To pursue the vision, I will lead the
development of the health care organization s strategic alignment of clear goals and objectives, to
preserve the core mission and encourage progress toward the envisioned future state. Also, I will

Narcissism Paper
Narcissism Narcissism is the tendency to be arrogant, have a grandiose sense of self importance,
require excessive admiration and have a sense of entitlement (Robbins Judge, 2009). It is the type
of personality that doesn t fit well for a manager or someone in a leadership position. Supervisors,
when educating and training their employees, need to possess a degree of humility during
communication with them. The important component is people skills: employees must not only
respect their supervisors, but they must also feel that they are respected by their bosses. If ever a
manager becomes too enamored with himself, employees can sense this arrogance and become
more apathetic to the idea of respecting the supervisor s authority. In other... Show more content on

Autonomy is the degree to which a job provides substantial freedom and discretion to the
individual in scheduling the work and in determining the procedures to be used in carrying it out
(Robbins Judge, 2009). For organizations that specialize in work groups and teams, the component
of autonomy is necessary in order to achieve productivity and the organization s goals. Employees
need to feel like they have flexibility in their scheduling and how their work processes. Once an
employee has this ability, they become more cooperative in working with others. The perception,
that the employee s time is just as valuable as the organization s goals, gives the employee the
perceived organizational support thereby increasing their satisfaction and productivity on the job.
When a supervisor shows narcissism, this tells the employees that their concerns about how they
do work and when they work will take a back seat to the wishes of the supervisor. The supervisor
becomes more in control of every facet of the organization, which destroys any autonomy the
employee once possessed. The worker, losing autonomy, becomes less satisfied, less productive,
and loses out on developing new skills. The worker, if part of a group, drags down the rest of the
team s productivity. The narcissistic personality of the supervisor has a negative effect on the
organization; his selfish attitude permeates through the organization causing drops in productivity.
Research reveals that it might be better to keep all the conscientious, covenantal people on the same
team separate from low conscientious members to remove inequity and improve satisfaction

Liking Is for Cowards Essay
Jonathan Franzen wrote the article, Liking is for Cowards. Go for what Hurts. This article
caused extreme interest and controversy by the topic of his argument. The purpose of Franzen
writing the article was to challenge us to get back to the true meaning of love and not being so
terrified of rejection. He feels that we had become too comfortable just liking what people expect
us to and have lost the real understanding of the word love. Franzen stated, If you dedicate your
existence to being likable, however, and if you adopt whatever cool persona is necessary to make
it happen, it suggests that you ve despaired of being loved for who you really are (Franzen, Liking

because of the fear of rejection. Franzen states, The prospect of pain generally, the pain of loss,
of breakup, of death, is what makes it so tempting to avoid love and stay safely in the world of
liking. He s admitting that love is hard and it comes with its own risks, but in the end, it is
definitely worth it. Franzen discusses his relationship to the environment to try to expand on
the ethos of his writing. He wrote how in college he developed a strong liking for the
environment and the world around us. He began to be frustrated and discouraged by all of the
negatives that the world faces every single day, such as rising global temperatures and the
accumulation of garbage in the ecosystem. Eventually, he made a conscious decision to back
away from the environment, but then he found a fascination with birds. He felt a sense of love
for the birds, and ironically, this made him even more concerned about the environment because
that was the home of the birds that he had such a passion for. And here s where a curious paradox
emerged. My anger and pain and despair about the planet were only increased by my concern for
wild birds, and yet, as I

Analysis Of The Banking System In Argentina
I.Composition of the Banking Sector The banking system in Argentina is highly concentrated. In
2015 the top three banks controlled more than 43% of all commercial banking assets. The top ten
banks control more than 77% of banking assets. This reflects a long term trend of consolidation
beginning in the 1990s when banking reforms were introduced and continued following the 2001
crisis. Today only 78 banks remain in operation, compared to 200 in the mid 1990s. Market entry
is made difficult by both evolving regulation and the concentrated power of large, established
banks. Argentine banks have expanded their presences in recent years. In mid 2016 a total 4,507

27.6% of banking assets. The two next largest domestic banks are the privately owned Banco de

Banco Santander Rio (controlling 8% of assets), BBVA Banco FrancГ©s (5.6% of assets), and
HSBC (3.2%). Some foreign banks have reduced, or have indicated plans to reduce, their presences

So it didn t effect the point of the story. Something that really puzzled me in the story was when
the first old lady ran after Marian in the hall and sort of grabbed her by her hair and asked her for
a penny. I didn t understand that point and I don t think it made much sense to the story. The
conflict in the story is when Marian actually goes into the old women s room. The conflict isn t
very clear, but its very obvious there is a problem. The first old women is very outgoing, and the
second old women, is angry, and bitter. So there s a bit of clashing going on with them and it
shows when they spoke to each other. The events that led up to the plot are Marian going into

Dystrophin Essay
Starting with the skeletal muscle body to the fascicle to the muscle fiber to the myofibril to the
sarcomere to the myofilaments to the protein filaments to the protein complexes themselves. This is
where we find dystrophin, a large X linked gene. Dystrophin is the official name for the DMD gene
within the body. Dystrophin is the result of the Duchenne muscular dystrophy gene locus
Dystrophin is located within both skeletal and cardiac muscle, even within some nerve cells,
however it is not primarily located in any smooth muscle (Genetics Home Reference 2012).
Dystrophin works together with other proteins to make muscle fibers stronger and to keep them
from injuring themselves during muscle relaxation and contraction along with other proteins in a
protein complex. Inside of this protein complex the dystrophin acts as the foundation that connects
the actin cytoskeleton of each muscle cell with matrix of other proteins in the extracellular fluid,
acting as a spring between the intracellular fluid and actin skeleton. The spring or coil like function
of dystrophin allows localized stress to be relocated throughout a cell. Dystrophin can play a role in
the contacting of other cells ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dystrophin plays a role in the redistribution of stress placed on a cell by acting as a coil for all of
the stress to be absorbed by. In other parts, dystrophin fixes cells in certain positions which allows
for protections of the cells during either skeletal or cardiac muscle contraction. It also theoretically
helps in the communication of the synapse in the nerve cells of the brain. A mutation of this gene
causes a disease known as muscular dystrophy. Most commonly this mutation happens from the
inability of protein expression. This can either be Becker muscular dystrophy or Duchenne
muscular dystrophy (Henderson 2010). Both of these types of muscular dystrophy result in extreme

Creon Antigone Analysis
In Antigone, Creon s mind is pulled in two opposite directions: His hubris, and, in contrast, his
human duty to the gods. His decision to not follow the gods decrees and the consequences of that
decision are used by Sophocles to remind the audience to stand with the gods.
Creon, the King of Thebes, produced a law in lines 222 228 that a man named Polynices could
not be buried, a law that he knew was in direct opposition to a law of the gods. When Antigone
tried to follow the gods law by burying Polynices, Creon had her locked up. Creon would have
known the laws of the gods, being Grecian perhaps even better than most, being an educated man
however, he made the law anyway. Sophoclesexample through Creon gives the audience an
example of deliberate disobedience and how easy it is to affront the gods, even if it seems like the
honorable thing to do. And Creon did think this; because Polynices was a traitor, Creon was
opposed to honoring him with burial, so inducting the law that he could not be into society. Nobility
notwithstanding, this law was against the gods. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Creon instructs Tiresius (1152 1158) that not even the gods could stop his resolve to lock up
Antigone and leave Polynices corpse exposed. However, when his son, Haemon (1296), as well
as his wife, Eurydice (1412 1414), kill themselves because of Creon s decisions, he has a complete
reversal in attitude. Despite the attempt to right his wrongs (1235 1239), admitting that he could
not best or control the gods, Creon received punishments, his crimes against the gods too great.
Sophocles exaggerates the everyday occurrence of going against the gods to the audience sin order
for them to learn from Creon s example, telling them that the consequences will always find

The Causes Of The Cuban Revolution
The Cuban Revolution in 1953 was an armed revolt against the right wing administration of
Fulgencio Batista which was led by Fidel Castro and his 26th of July Movement. The revolution
would continue until 1959 when the revolutionaries overthrew Batista and replace his government
with a socialist state . There are many different reasons for the cause of this revolution which can
be traced back to Cubas relationship with the United States. Che Guevara s speech and the Platt
Amendment are two primary sources that provide insight of the United States effect on the Cuban
Revolution(Keen and Haynes 2013, 401).
On January 29, 1959, Che Guevara delivered the speech named, The Social Ideals of the Rebel
Army. Che Guevara met Fidel and Raul castro in Mexico City during the year of 1955. He joined
the July 26 movement which was named after the attack of Moncada army barracks led by Fidel
Castro. This attacked sparked a rebellion against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. Che
would soon become the second in command of the historical Cuba revolution (Keen and Haynes
2013, 401). The speech he gave was sponsored by a cultural organization named Nuestro TIempo
at a ceremony in Havana. He begins by giving praise to Jose Marti who was a symbol of Cuba s
independence against Spain in the 19th century. Che claims that the revolution s goals are
derived from Marti s dream of Cuban independence. Jose Marti led a revolution to break free
from Spain s control which is similar to what the revolutaries during this time want as they want to
eliminate the dictatorship that is controlling Cuba. In his speech, Che claims the way to
accomplish this goal is by forming a coup as Barista did to get into power. However, Basita also
had the support of the United States which provides insight into the relationship between the U.S
and Cuba (Guevara, 1959). In 1952, Batista along with help from the United States overthrew the
Prio presidency due to corruption and violence that shadowed his administration. Che acknowledges
United States support of Batista as he states, Batista has given hundred concessions to the United
States and we must give them a hundred and one (Guevara, 1959). One of the reasons why the
United States chose to

Essay on Hit Song Science
1.What value does Hit Song Science create? If you were Mike McCready, CEO of Polyphonic,
which target market unsigned artists, producers, or record companies would you pursue? Before
we analyze the value Hit Song Science creates, we should be clearly aware of the substance of
Hit Song Science. Hit Song Science refers to comparing the mathematical characteristics of music
with characteristics of past music hits to determine a song s hit potential. From my point of view,
the value Hit Song Science creates can be classified into two aspects technology and business. On
the technological level, Hit Song Science is an advanced technology in that it mixes music and
math which cannot be perceived as relevant in a daily life. It is a... Show more content on

Producers are in the same situation. Inside producers only receive salary plus some royalties as
compensation. While outside producers received a production fee and negotiated a royalty of
1% to 5%of the suggested retail price. Production fee varied dramatically, which means the
production fee producers received depends most on the level of the producers themselves and
the level of the artists they helped. However, they were only about 20 to 30 top producers who
may receive so high production fee that they would like to pay for Hit Song Science. Other
producers with low or relatively low production fee may not be willing to pay for Hit Song
Science out of their slender income. It makes sense that famous artists prefer top producers who
can help them make a hit and in turn, receive benefit from the hit. If artists, unsigned artists and
producers only received a small portion of income from music, the biggest winner in the process
of recording activity is record company. Managers and talent agents alone extract between 25%
and 40% of a performer s income. Record labels have the ability to pay for Hit Song Science.
More importantly, they want to forecast sales levels for the titles in their portfolios. Based on the
high market size of record labels and the necessity to forecast whether a song can become a hit via
Hit Song Science due to high releasing fees, polyphonic should pursue

Oak Park Township s Potential Trend Equation
1 Introduction This report presents projections of Oak Park Township s population for the year
2030. These projections were done by three methods such as the following: allocation, trend
extrapolation, and cohort component. These projected processes and results can be elaborated by
methods in the following sections. 2 Population Projection Methods 2.1 Allocation Allocation, this
method uses larger region s population or projections and percentage of population of a smaller
area in the larger region to estimate smaller area s population. Oak Park Township is located in
Cook County, so the first step is to obtain the most recent population of Cook County and Oak Park
Township and the projected population of Cook County in 2030. According to... Show more content

Then, using the population of each five year cohort in 2000, we projected the population
excluding migration in 2010. Comparing the census and projected population in 2010, the10 year
migration rates were estimated. So, with the migration rates, the migration of 2030 could be
projected. Due to the projected births, deaths and migration in 2030, the projected population of
Oak park Township in 2030 was shown in following Table 4. Comparatively speaking, the
allocation and trend extrapolation methods require less data and simply assume current
distributions and the trend will continue. However, the cohort component method relies on more
data and assumptions than the others. It can be rationally projected. That is to say, if obtaining
the data and assumptions is not difficult, the cohort component could provide a reliable
projection. 3 Conclusion The results of the projected population of Oak Park Township in 2030
by different methods were distinctly shown in Table 6. These projections have quite a bit of
difference. According to the above comparison of three methods, the cohort component should be
the reliable one. In conclusion, the population of Oak Park Township is likely to see a reduction,
compared with 2010. The population is projected from 51,878 to 45,187, a decrease of 6,691 or 12.9

The Religion Of The 20th Century
The religion was first founded in New York in 1844 by William Miller. Miller started out being a
deist, but he converted and became a baptist preacher. Finally creating his own religion, and his
followers were known as Millerites. Later in 1854, J.N. Andrews, Miller, Joseph Bates, and Ellen
G. and James Springer White created the official Seventh Day Adventist Church. The official
name of Seventh Day Adventist was not officially put into place until 1863 at the first conference
and formation of the Seventh Day Adventist(SDA) Church on May 21. By the early 1870 s SDA
began to send missionaries to Europe and Australia. In 1849, the first SDA newspaper was printed
in Middletown, Connecticut. The following year two more SDA related newspapers... Show more

The people that are considered unworthy get destroyed, and the people that pass help Jesus
create a heaven on earth and everyone lives there in peace forever. The people that were saved
are considered God like at that point. The SDAs believe that the first covenant made between the
people and God was essentially a covenant of death. They believe we owe God our lives because
he did for us. One obtains happiness by being chosen to live on the newly created planet during
the second resurrection. The only way to get chosen and live a perfect life is to follow every
commandment word for word. The SDAs believe that the only day that is to be rested upon is
Saturday. This is because in the creation story God rested on the seventh day. They believe just
as Catholics that Abortions is wrong. It is impossible for us to be God. This is because we are
created in his image and likeness, but we are not as powerful as God. He was the first, therefore,
he knows better than us. The United States and Europe have the biggest population of Seventh Day
Adventists in the world. The next largest population is in Asia and South America. By learning
about this religion, it helps one to be able to better defend their faith, and understand where they
have gone wrong in their life. It also helps one be able to better understand where someone of that
faith is coming

It comes from tiny plants and animals remains that used to live in oceans over a million of years
ago. As their remains built up on the ocean floor, layers of sediment were formed and gas was
produced by heat and pressure. Gas is cleaned and processed after it has been taken from the
ground to get rid of impurities. After this it is pumped into storage tanks and carried around the
country. Natural gas really has no smell but the distinctive smell has been added as a warning of
leaks.
The advantages of gas are:
Shrinks when cooled
Turned into liquid, when put under pressure.
Easily portable in liquid form.
The production platform of gas to homes:
1) Gas is pumped to processing plants on shore.
2) Sent to compressor station.
3) Into storage tanks.
4) Gas companies supply it.
5) Into peoples homes.
6) Gas metres record how much gas is used.

  • 3. How Did The Printing Press Lead To The Rise Of The... One of the main factors that led to the spread of the renaissance was the formation of the printing press. If the printing press was never invented, imagine how life would be. We would not have things like books or newspapers, and we wouldn t be able to share information quickly. To understand the printing pressit is useful to know how it works, and to understand the significance. In 1436 Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press. It caused rapid growth in the production of books and caused changes in European civilization. The original printing press used a set group of type blocks together that made words and sentences. It was in Production around 1450 ( Bellis ). Gutenberg also printed the world s first book, the Gutenberg Bible in 1455 (Peterson). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even though block books were a huge step in transforming the printing of books, the woodcuts would tend to split after a lot of usage so they were not really useful. In 868 CE, China created the first printed book called the Diamond Sutra . However, there is a chance there may have been book printing occurring long before this date (Bellis). Before the printing press, the only books that were made were highly valuable objects that only belonged to the church. In Europe, most books were still being made by hand. Writing books by hand was a long process and took years to complete. The invention made it more efficient to produce books and they were cheaper. They could also print in color now. • 4. Barbie Body Image Essay When a young girl looks into the mirror and does not see the beauty of herself, but instead sees her flaws and imperfections, her confidence drops, and so does her self worth. The leading cause for this issue is the unrealistic body image that Barbie models to girls. Why is this happening in our society and how can we help? This is happening because we give our children dolls that are thin, tall, blonde, and very unrealistic; we give our children Barbies. We are giving our children figures as role models, but those models are impossible to attain. Barbie lives a in a perfect happy world, where she has everything she wants and can be whatever she wants to be. That is what we all want, that is why barbies are enticing toys. But, the problem is that young girls can start to associate the unattainable Barbie figure with happiness. The Barbie body image is planted into their minds. The same book was included in another ensemble called Slumber Party in 1965, along with a pink bathroom scale permanently set at 110 lbs., which would be around 35 lbs. underweight for a woman 5 feet 9 inches tall. Mattel received criticism for this but said she was created thin so it would be easier for the clothes designers, and not because she didn t eat. These impact on a person in many ways, however it is difficult to choose one instance and state that due to that event I am now... this is because change occurs gradually and while we are impacted by events an individual cannot state that all behaviours arose from the one event. The event may have impacted the person in a significant way and the person s behaviour changed by these behaviours, however, they were probably re enforced over time and so became their new behaviours (Griekspoor, 2005). • 12. Language Use And Acquisition Is Affected By Social Factors... Introduction The aim of this research is to analyze and discover the way language is used and acquired using the hypothesis that language use and acquisition is affected by social factors relating to environment as well as cultural norms and values. Questions that will be explored include: In what settings are different languages used? How are second and third languages acquired? How do attitudes towards language learning contribute to the success or failure in learning a new language? How does context affect language learning? What role does the availability of resources play in second or third language acquisition? What kind of emotional and cultural ties to different languages exist? This research was conducted through a one on one in depth interview with a Glendon student who is Filipino and speaks Tagalog, French, and has some experience learning sign language. The main focus of this research was to discover how the student learns and uses Tagalog and French as secondary languages. Literature Overview The role of how social factors affect language is becoming an increasing area of interest. Linguist Dell Hymes coined the term communicative competence to describe the theory that appropriate contexts for language use have on effect on use and acquisition. This is contrary to Noam Chomsky s claim that there are innate language mechanisms and that the consideration of social factors is not relevant to the study of linguistics (Celce Murcia, 2008 p.42). CHAPTER III HUMANISM IN MARK TWAINS NOVELS A study of Mark Twain s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is an adventure in understanding changes in America itself. The book, at the center of American geography and consciousness, asks readers to reexamine definitions of civilization and freedom, right and wrong, social responsibility and inhumanity. Published in 1885, the novel recounts those pre civil war days when the controversy over slavery, with designated slave and Free states, disfigured the face of America and its view of itself as a land of the free. Both geographically and otherwise, the story is an examination of life at the center: the center of America s premier river, the Mississippi in the middle of the geographical United states, with slave states below, free states above, which is the route toward freedom and escape for Huck and Jim; the center of one of the foremost conflicts on American soil, slavery, which soon results in a civil war; the center of the coming of age of both a young man and a nation that struggle to understand redefinitions of nationhood and freedom, right and wrong; and the center of a shift from Romanticism to Realism in art and letters that would provide for a new way for Americans to express and re create themselves. The novel offers an excellent example of American picaresque fiction and meaningful use of dialect, although this dialect may be difficult reading for students for whom English is not a first language. The heat capacity of the sinker was determined by dividing the heat absorbed by the water by the sinker s temperature change and the two values for each trial were determined to be 7.82 J/०C and 9.88 J/०C, with an average actual specific heat capacity of 0.136 J/g०C, a 16.9% difference from the theoretical heat capacity of lead of 0.159 J/g०C. The percent difference was too vast to support the hypothesis, which required that heat capacity be calculated accurately with little error. For this first experiment, performance errors that contributed to the inconsistent results were the touching of the the thermometer to the calorimeter and continuous, unnecessary movement of the thermometer, producing inaccurate measurements of the water temperature. Likewise, the lead sinker was left out in the open for too long while transitioning between the hot water bath and the calorimeter, causing heat and energy loss. He is not in Virginia long before Michael Henry Pascal, a lieutenant in the British royal navy and captain of a merchant ship, purchases him as a present to some of his friends in England (Equiano p. 94)This shows how the times were back in the day and scary it was! Jessica Foy Othello Essay English III 14 February 2017 Emilia Essay Character development is seen in almost every character in the play Othello. Most of the characters are seen tumbling in a downwards spiral of their former self; while other characters are seen becoming more powerful due to the loss of power from the people above them. One of the characters that developed from her superior s weaknesses is Iago s wife, Emilia. Emilia spends most of her time with Othello s wife, Desdemona. Most of their conversation surrounds the topics of gender roles in society and in their relationships. Although Iago shoots her down; the fact that she even questioned him, shows change between Act I Emilia and Act III Emilia. Although Emilia gave her husband the handkerchief he so very much desired for his love; she still wondered what he had in store for her friend, Desdemona. In Act IV, Othello hits Desdemona and they both continue in a downward spiral. At this time, Emilia and Desdemona are really good friends and the audience sees a switch between the two. The outspoken Desdemona is now a reserved housewife; and the reserved Emilia is now the outspoken confidant that Desdemona relies on. She believes that her friend does not deserve the treatment that has been served to her; so she speaks out on her problems reversing the roles placed on them both. As Desdemona begins to settle into the housewife settings, she calls upon Iago and Emilia recalls most of the event to her husband herself. Throughout the conversation, she even brings up something she was too afraid to do so earlier: Iago s accusations that made you to suspect me with the Moor. (IV.ii.173). Emilia has completely changed to a woman with an unfiltered speech; through the heat she gained from her anger at Othello for hurting her friend mentally and physically, she accounted some of her own relationship problems. What had once been heavy slabs of muscle in years gone by had slowly given way to fat, but he was still a big, intimidating man. His gaze was inscrutable, his eyes having long been replaced with soulless, reflective black lenses. A pair of heavily augmented bodyguards stood to either side of him. They were the best money could buy, their bodies having been turned into brutal chem tech weapons by the brilliant, albeit deranged, scientist Singed. Takeda s bodyguards tensed, flexing their piston strengthened limbs in unease. Takeda glanced left and right, trying to discern her location. Nothing. She was simply gone, vanished completely, as if she had been swallowed by the darkness. Not bad, he said. He d heard of her power, of course, but such things are often over exaggerated. He was pleased to see that in this case, the rumors were true. Taloned hands grabbed him from behind, blood red nails digging into his flesh as Evelynn emerged from the shadows. She was far stronger than she looked, and forcibly turned his head to expose his thick neck. Her grasp was ice cold, as if warm blood no longer flowed in her veins, and her fangs were inches from his jugular. • 27. The Mortgage Theories Of Real Estate In real estate, there are two mortgage theories that are determined by jurisdiction. In title theory states, the title of real estate remains with the lender until the loan is paid in full. The lender owns the property and can reclaim it, should the purchaser default on the loan, by use of a non judicial foreclosure process called a power of sale foreclosure. In lien theory states, the title remains with the purchaser and the lender places a lien on the property. This means there is an encumbrance on the property for the life of the loan. The lien is lifted once obligations have been met. When obligations towards the loan are not met, a judicial foreclosure can be initiated. (Findlaw, n.d.) There are advantages and disadvantages to both theories. Title theory states are attractive to lenders because they can institute a power of sale foreclosure process, which does not involve expensive and lengthy litigation. Lien theory states, on the other hand, are attractive to buyers as it requires a judicial foreclosure process. This process can be lengthy and afford the purchaser more opportunities to settle the debt(Hinkle, 2011, p.186). Additionally, some lenders are cautious about lending in lien theory jurisdictions because usury laws restrict interest rates on loans that exceed a set maximum ( Title Theory v Lien Theory, 2015). California is a hybrid between both mortgage theories. California commonly uses deeds, instead of mortgages, in property transfers (Hinkle, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The book for the most part is split into two different categories of literature: prose and poetry. The reader is able to see both sides of the story through the two elements. While Godand the Advisor speak to each other in prose, Job speaks in a poetic dialogue along with his three friends and wife, the only other characters in the story. With Job s friends, we can really take in the dramatic irony of the entire story as they try and convince Job he has sinned but as the reader we know the truth to the matter. For example, his poem, Cursed states, Bring, bring the lamp, see the soaked earth, see the blackened little bone eaten by the flames, the garment of murdered Spain. Just by that excerpt, you can tell that the tone of this poem is very dark. In fact, the majority of Neruda s poems in this book seemed as if they all had the same tone; gloomy and pessimistic. His poems reflected this tone from the 1940 s and onward, showing the political struggle in South America. This does show that life experiences can really affect the way that poets write. A disheartening event can lead a poet to write very depressing poems, and vice versa. Even though Neruda wrote a lot about the political struggle, he also wrote a lot of poems about love, such as, Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair. One love poem that he wrote, Your Laughter, was intriguing. The poem reveals how the person in the poem is obviously struggling in life. Supervisors, when educating and training their employees, need to possess a degree of humility during communication with them. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Autonomy is the degree to which a job provides substantial freedom and discretion to the individual in scheduling the work and in determining the procedures to be used in carrying it out (Robbins Judge, 2009). For organizations that specialize in work groups and teams, the component of autonomy is necessary in order to achieve productivity and the organization s goals. Employees need to feel like they have flexibility in their scheduling and how their work processes. Once an employee has this ability, they become more cooperative in working with others. The perception, that the employee s time is just as valuable as the organization s goals, gives the employee the perceived organizational support thereby increasing their satisfaction and productivity on the job. When a supervisor shows narcissism, this tells the employees that their concerns about how they do work and when they work will take a back seat to the wishes of the supervisor. The supervisor becomes more in control of every facet of the organization, which destroys any autonomy the employee once possessed. The worker, losing autonomy, becomes less satisfied, less productive, and loses out on developing new skills. The worker, if part of a group, drags down the rest of the team s productivity. The narcissistic personality of the supervisor has a negative effect on the organization; his selfish attitude permeates through the organization causing drops in productivity. Research reveals that it might be better to keep all the conscientious, covenantal people on the same team separate from low conscientious members to remove inequity and improve satisfaction (Fischer, ... Dystrophin Essay Starting with the skeletal muscle body to the fascicle to the muscle fiber to the myofibril to the sarcomere to the myofilaments to the protein filaments to the protein complexes themselves. This is where we find dystrophin, a large X linked gene. Dystrophin is the official name for the DMD gene within the body. Dystrophin is the result of the Duchenne muscular dystrophy gene locus Dystrophin is located within both skeletal and cardiac muscle, even within some nerve cells, however it is not primarily located in any smooth muscle (Genetics Home Reference 2012). Dystrophin works together with other proteins to make muscle fibers stronger and to keep them from injuring themselves during muscle relaxation and contraction along with other proteins in a protein complex. Inside of this protein complex the dystrophin acts as the foundation that connects the actin cytoskeleton of each muscle cell with matrix of other proteins in the extracellular fluid, acting as a spring between the intracellular fluid and actin skeleton. His decision to not follow the gods decrees and the consequences of that decision are used by Sophocles to remind the audience to stand with the gods. Creon, the King of Thebes, produced a law in lines 222 228 that a man named Polynices could not be buried, a law that he knew was in direct opposition to a law of the gods. When Antigone tried to follow the gods law by burying Polynices, Creon had her locked up. Creon would have known the laws of the gods, being Grecian perhaps even better than most, being an educated man however, he made the law anyway. Sophoclesexample through Creon gives the audience an example of deliberate disobedience and how easy it is to affront the gods, even if it seems like the honorable thing to do. And Creon did think this; because Polynices was a traitor, Creon was opposed to honoring him with burial, so inducting the law that he could not be into society. RAD enables such development. 2 Copyright 1997 2000 CASEMaker Inc. What is Rapid Application Development? The availability of powerful CASE software makes it possible for developers to create systems much faster than ever before. These new integrated CASE toolsets are breaking out of the bubble of traditional software development thought. They take application development beyond generation coding, just as generation, many years ago, surpassed textual coding. These tools enable a developer to drag and drop previously generated code, saving that developer the time and effort of individually hand coding the text of the application. CASE tools also enable a developer to implement Rapid Application Development irrespective of their programming language or platform. programming language. Stanley Marcus of Neiman Marcus said, There are only two things of importance. One is the customer, and the other is the product. If you take care of customers, they come back. If you take care of the product, it doesn t come back. It s just that simple. And it s just that difficult. Rapid Application Development, in addition to providing a more quality product in less time, also ensures greater customer satisfaction. By reducing the elapsed time between User Design and Cutover, RAD increases the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. The Causes Of The Cuban Revolution The Cuban Revolution in 1953 was an armed revolt against the right wing administration of Fulgencio Batista which was led by Fidel Castro and his 26th of July Movement. The revolution would continue until 1959 when the revolutionaries overthrew Batista and replace his government with a socialist state . There are many different reasons for the cause of this revolution which can be traced back to Cubas relationship with the United States. Che Guevara s speech and the Platt Amendment are two primary sources that provide insight of the United States effect on the Cuban Revolution(Keen and Haynes 2013, 401). On January 29, 1959, Che Guevara delivered the speech named, The Social Ideals of the Rebel Army. Che Guevara met Fidel and Raul castro in Mexico City during the year of 1955. He joined the July 26 movement which was named after the attack of Moncada army barracks led by Fidel Castro. This attacked sparked a rebellion against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. Che would soon become the second in command of the historical Cuba revolution (Keen and Haynes 2013, 401). The speech he gave was sponsored by a cultural organization named Nuestro TIempo at a ceremony in Havana. He begins by giving praise to Jose Marti who was a symbol of Cuba s independence against Spain in the 19th century. Che claims that the revolution s goals are derived from Marti s dream of Cuban independence. Jose Marti led a revolution to break free from Spain s control which is similar to what the revolutaries during this time want as they want to eliminate the dictatorship that is controlling Cuba. In his speech, Che claims the way to accomplish this goal is by forming a coup as Barista did to get into power. However, Basita also had the support of the United States which provides insight into the relationship between the U.S and Cuba (Guevara, 1959). In 1952, Batista along with help from the United States overthrew the Prio presidency due to corruption and violence that shadowed his administration. Che acknowledges United States support of Batista as he states, Batista has given hundred concessions to the United States and we must give them a hundred and one (Guevara, 1959). • 44. Essay on Hit Song Science 1.What value does Hit Song Science create? If you were Mike McCready, CEO of Polyphonic, which target market unsigned artists, producers, or record companies would you pursue? Before we analyze the value Hit Song Science creates, we should be clearly aware of the substance of Hit Song Science. Hit Song Science refers to comparing the mathematical characteristics of music with characteristics of past music hits to determine a song s hit potential. From my point of view, the value Hit Song Science creates can be classified into two aspects technology and business. On the technological level, Hit Song Science is an advanced technology in that it mixes music and math which cannot be perceived as relevant in a daily life. It is a... While outside producers received a production fee and negotiated a royalty of 1% to 5%of the suggested retail price. Production fee varied dramatically, which means the production fee producers received depends most on the level of the producers themselves and the level of the artists they helped. However, they were only about 20 to 30 top producers who may receive so high production fee that they would like to pay for Hit Song Science. Other producers with low or relatively low production fee may not be willing to pay for Hit Song Science out of their slender income. It makes sense that famous artists prefer top producers who can help them make a hit and in turn, receive benefit from the hit. If artists, unsigned artists and producers only received a small portion of income from music, the biggest winner in the process of recording activity is record company. Managers and talent agents alone extract between 25% and 40% of a performer s income. Record labels have the ability to pay for Hit Song Science. More importantly, they want to forecast sales levels for the titles in their portfolios. Based on the high market size of record labels and the necessity to forecast whether a song can become a hit via Hit Song Science due to high releasing fees, polyphonic should pursue ... • 45. Oak Park Township s Potential Trend Equation 1 Introduction This report presents projections of Oak Park Township s population for the year 2030. These projections were done by three methods such as the following: allocation, trend extrapolation, and cohort component. These projected processes and results can be elaborated by methods in the following sections. 2 Population Projection Methods 2.1 Allocation Allocation, this method uses larger region s population or projections and percentage of population of a smaller area in the larger region to estimate smaller area s population. Oak Park Township is located in Cook County, so the first step is to obtain the most recent population of Cook County and Oak Park Township and the projected population of Cook County in 2030. According to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Then, using the population of each five year cohort in 2000, we projected the population excluding migration in 2010. Comparing the census and projected population in 2010, the10 year migration rates were estimated. So, with the migration rates, the migration of 2030 could be projected. Due to the projected births, deaths and migration in 2030, the projected population of Oak park Township in 2030 was shown in following Table 4. Comparatively speaking, the allocation and trend extrapolation methods require less data and simply assume current distributions and the trend will continue. However, the cohort component method relies on more data and assumptions than the others. It can be rationally projected. That is to say, if obtaining the data and assumptions is not difficult, the cohort component could provide a reliable projection. 3 Conclusion The results of the projected population of Oak Park Township in 2030 by different methods were distinctly shown in Table 6. These projections have quite a bit of difference. According to the above comparison of three methods, the cohort component should be the reliable one. In conclusion, the population of Oak Park Township is likely to see a reduction, compared with 2010. The population is projected from 51,878 to 45,187, a decrease of 6,691 or 12.9 ... The people that are considered unworthy get destroyed, and the people that pass help Jesus create a heaven on earth and everyone lives there in peace forever. The people that were saved are considered God like at that point. The SDAs believe that the first covenant made between the people and God was essentially a covenant of death. They believe we owe God our lives because he did for us. One obtains happiness by being chosen to live on the newly created planet during the second resurrection. The only way to get chosen and live a perfect life is to follow every commandment word for word. The SDAs believe that the only day that is to be rested upon is Saturday. This is because in the creation story God rested on the seventh day. They believe just as Catholics that Abortions is wrong. It is impossible for us to be God. This is because we are created in his image and likeness, but we are not as powerful as God. He was the first, therefore, he knows better than us. The United States and Europe have the biggest population of Seventh Day Adventists in the world. The next largest population is in Asia and South America. By learning about this religion, it helps one to be able to better defend their faith, and understand where they have gone wrong in their life.
