This article develops a conceptual model to explain how culture impacts negotiation . It draws on
previous research on culture and on negotiation to develop an understandin g of how culture affects
negotiation processes and outcomes. The article begins with a review of fundamental concepts in the

sample of the students who were involved in the research, 46.9% ranked the religion to be the major
factor of the formation of the identity. Some students said that the term Israel was not the appropriate
identity and a section about 50% said that Palestine was the right identity. When given six ways of
characterising the identities, that is the Arab, Israeli, Israeli Arab, Palestinian Arab, Israeli Palestinian,
and Palestinian. Palestinian Arab received the more endorsement by around 34%, followed by the
Israeli Arab by 30%, Arab followed by approximately 20%, then Israeli Palestinian by 11.7% and

rather naïve about what quality entailed. I definitely did not have a concrete definition of what quality

Thankfully, the Baldrige principles changed my perspective on quality. As such, I now use a few of
the principles to grade an organization. The main principles I find myself grading an organization with
are visionary leadership, customer centered excellence, valuing workforce members and partners and
societal responsibility. All eleven of the principles are important. However, these tend to be the most
important to me when defining the quality of an organization.
