The song implements on the hardships a mother will face for the growth of their son because love is
what keeps them going. The love a mother will have for her son means that even though they don t
have a father figure around to show them how to grow up, they will always have their mothers to
teach them the way of life through a woman s perspective. In the song, Dear Mama , Tupac mentions,
For a woman it ain t easy trying to raise a man, you always was committed and he is able to

The Mortal Immortal, the main character Winzy, who was Cornelius Agrippa s pupil, has tried to win
the hand of his beloved Bertha multiple times and has failed just as many. Bertha and Winzy played a
cat and mouse game for a few years; of chasing each other around and going back and forth of
wanting each other, but Winzy s love for Bertha was always strong and true. One obstacle they faced
came to fruition when Bertha was adopted and became a part of a higher social class. Bertha s new
found wealth eventually led to tension between Bertha and Winzy; and also Bertha gets upset at the
fact that Winzy wasn t able to meet her in the woods, because he was helping Cornelius watch the

town, they run into an old man carrying books. They decide to beat the man and rob him and Alex

previously Alex would not have been able to resist getting in on the action. In both chapters, the
