Juvenile Justice In Juveniles
The act of justice is to provide both fairness and equality for both the victim and offender. With the
increase of juvenile offenders, the YOA was enhanced therefore forming the YCJA, which would
ultimately focus on ending the cycle of recidivism among young offenders, and as a result of the
YCJA being introduced, 42% of overall crime by youths had been declined from the year 2000 to
2014. In doing this the YCJA s main goals were and still are to recuperate the youthful offenders by
focusing on rehabilitation and reintegration, and looking at the underlying cause of the crime.
Although not acknowledging the suffering and constant fear that the victim and community go
through, as the result of the crime.
To achieve the goal of stopping crimes among youths, they have set forth to make reintegrating and
rehabilitating a big part of keeping juveniles out of prison for the remainder of their life. Meaning,
they try to instill positive behaviour and choices upon juvenile offenders by providing ways to try and
migrate them back into the community while maintaining good behaviour. This, of course, does not
happen without the assistance of YCJA counsellors and justice advocacy groups, as these groups make
it their main interest to provide constant equality and stability towards these offenders. As the young
offenders try to step in the right direction with the help of the YCJA, they are often given a created
guideline or a set of rules that try and lead the offender towards

Don Juan Womanizer
Charming, attentive, interested, witty, flirtatious, these are all traits of a womanizer. The only
difference between a womanizer and a good man is a womanizer acts in this manner to get in your
pants, not your heart. Don Juan the Trickster of Seville, his name says it all. Don Juan is a smooth
talking, egotistical, cunning, never changing womanizer who thrives off of seducing women. His love
for romance and women and his lack of moral obligation make him a guy that mothers warn their
daughters about. His intoxicating wit and charm are irresistible to those who catch his eye. Not only is
he a womanizer but a true representation of the wages of sin. Don Juan lives his life as if he is
untouchable and true definition of a risk taker when it comes to sin. Don Juan doesn t just give us a

For an example, in Don Hermanas Don Juan seduces a bride named Aminta. When he is seducing
Aminta he is mocking the innocence by saying by this white hand, a winter of pure snow, take my

high self esteem. He has an unrealistic self image in that he believes he is superior to others, and feels
it s his right to mock them. Don Juan feels he is superior because of his noblemen upbringing. His
father is a kingsmen and so is his uncle so he feels he can get away with more than the average person.
He has this air about him that he is better than everyone else and proves it with mockery. Everything
to Don Juan is a joke and he doesn t see why everyone gets so upset about his tricks. He is clearly
oblivious to punishment and he is reminded continually of punishment to come by Catalinon, his
father, and those women he tricks. Don Juan lacks the insight as to the significance of his behavior for

Intrisic Motivation Increases Student Achievement
Brief Review of the Literature Studies have indicated that intrinsic motivation increases student
achievement. The success of integrating technology with increased student achievement could vary
based on students intrinsic motivational styles. ATLAS has identified viable motivational styles within
individual learning styles. Understanding different technologies and their effect on motivational styles
in ATLAS has not been studied, but studies validate the importance and the need for this study.
Technology Integration Cauley, Aiken, and Whitney (2010) researched students comfort levels with

can be increased if technology is implemented correctly. Ehrlich, Sporte, and Sebring (2013) reported
the differences in technology use in districts in Chicago. The study found that 92 percent of students
have access to the internet and technology at home. However, the frequency of use varied depending
on the school that the students attended. Twenty to thirty percent of students used technology at school
never or rarely. An inequality of technology exists between schools and schools that use technology.
Schools that frequently use technology have higher achieving students. Enrich et al., (2010) stated,
Technology use is ubiquitous in America s colleges and most workplaces, and it is fast becoming
accepted as fact that all students elementary and high school must be exposed to technology (p. 1).
This research is important to the proposed study because it indicates that the use of technology is
inconsistent even when there is similar availability to technology. This research implies that
researchers need to determine better ways of implementing technology consistently. Learning Styles

Energy Crises in Pakistan
Energy crises is one of the major issues in our country pakistan. According to a survey 8% of the total
revenue generated by a telecom company is lost due to outage of power supplied to BTS. Although the
BTS has back up systems installed which are uninterrupted power supply and generator. When the
main power supply of the BTS fails, it shifts to UPS, if the failure presists for longer time the BTS
shifts to generator. With all the equipments installed to avoid power failure the BTS power outage is
very high. When the BTS power dies out that particular cell is out of the global communication
network. In urban areas this phase is for a short period of time but in rural far off areas this problem is
for long time unless someone comes to fix it. On observing, the power outage occurs due to lack of
power monitoring systems. The system demands for a continuous monitoring of the power of the BTS
so that when any one of the source dies out the service providers should fix it as soon as possible. In
urban areas the revneue generated is very high and a particular company can afford alot of man power
to monitor the BTS continuously but in rural areas the revenue generated is low and continuous
monitoring by man power isnt possile all of the time. This project BTS power monitoring and alarm
system based on GSM module is an attempt to minimize the issues permanently with least man power
for monitoring the BTS. This system collects the signals from the power sources, step down the

What Are Panic Disorders With Agoraphobia
Panic Disorders with Agoraphobia
By Jennifer Allen
Abnormal Psychology
Dr. Kuhnert
Columbia College Abstract Panic Disorder with Agoraphobia
Panic disorder and agoraphobia are two separate disorders that often go hand in hand with each other.
An individual can be diagnosed with panic disorder, but a diagnosis without agoraphobia can often
take place as well. Some individuals develop symptoms of agoraphobia, but do not have the classic
panic disorder symptoms, hence the reason they are both listed as separate disorders in the DSM 5.
Panic disorder can be identified as recurrent unexpected panic attacks. A panic attack is an abrupt
surge of intense fear or intense discomfort that reaches a peak within minutes, and during which time
four or more physical and cognitive characteristics take place (Hooley, J. 2017, pg.188). When dealing
with panic disorder it can often become debilitating, due to the fact that the individual does not know
when the onset of an attack will occur. Individuals with panic disorder more commonly develop
agoraphobia as a comorbid disorder, and if left untreated, can have a difficult time even leaving their
home. Agoraphobia can be defined as the individual fears or avoids ... Show more content on

Negative Impact Of Technology
The Negative Impacts of Technology Technology is always continually advancing. The impact that
technology has had on individuals and on society is negative. This negative impact is driven by
technology s ability to worsen social interaction and provide a source of constant distraction.
Technology worsens social interactions by taking away real communication and relationship
boundaries. With the rise in popularity of phones and social media, people are having less real
communication. In Glennon Doyle Melton s essay, 6 Reasons Social Media is Dangerous for Me, she
writes, The students were hanging around in awkward circles, trying to get noticed or trying not to get
noticed, just like we did in high school. But we noticed with sadness one major difference. EVERY
KID WE SAW WAS on her phone (3). Everyone is paying more attention and occupied with their
gadgets instead of to actual people such as their family and friends. Technology is used by people as
an avoidance strategy. People may be comfortable chatting online, but not face to face. When chatting
online, people are unable to express themselves using body language, tone, or voice. It is clear that
children will not know how to read basic social cues or engage in small talk as a result of technology.
This causes them to not be able to gain crucial social skills needed for graceful social interactions.
Technology also creates a lack of relationship boundaries in today s youth. With the accessibility of

The Benefits of Responsible Human Cloning Essay
The Benefits of Responsible Human Cloning
On an unremarkable afternoon in July of 1996, in an unremarkable shed in Scotland, a lamb was born.
This lamb was to spark a controversy that would be one of the defining arguments of this era. This
lamb, simply named Dolly (after Dolly Parton in reference to the mammary cell used as the donor),
was the first clone to be born using specialized cells from an adult mammal.
The fact that the lamb was cloned from these specialized cells such as muscle cells, liver cells, or
mammary cells is what made this discovery of such importance. Before this, scientists had thought
that these cells had lost their ability to grow into a new embryo. They had already cloned embryos, but

Thousands of lives could be saved.
In recent months, the story of this event has swamped the news media. Although many opinions have
been expressed, finding anyone who is stating the facts of the issue and not just venting his fears and
misconceptions has become extremely difficult. I n fact, despite the enormous controversy
surrounding the science, many benefits exist for mankind because of its discovery, and the continued
support for the advancement of the science far outweighs any disadvantages that may arise. We cannot
afford to l et our emotional biases deter us from allowing this research to continue.
To better understand why this is, one must look at the arguments and misconceptions most commonly
associated with those opposed to cloning.
Cloning is immoral.
As the procedure stands now, the cloning of humans is immoral. The procedure used has a low success
rate and disfiguration and death is not uncommon, but that is because it has only been developed to be
used on animals, with which these types of losse s are far more acceptable. All reasonable scientists
agree that the process should not even be attempted until the process is refined to meet acceptable
success rates and that those higher success rates will be feasible in the near future.

The Solution To Save Many Lives From The War Over Land Between Israel And Palestine
Mr. Virmani
World History Honors
The Arab Israeli conflict is a battle for land between two sides. One side is the Arabian community
and the other side is the Palestinian community. The Arabians are saying that the land belongs to them
because God told them that it was their promised land or holy land. The Palestinians are coming into
the land a attempting to claim it as theirs. This conflict is insane because both communities are killing
each other almost daily. It is also absurd because they could split the land equally instead of harming
or killing each other (Virmani, n.d.).
I believe the Arabians should have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They also deserve to have the land because it has been discovered that the Arabs are related to the
original Arabs/Israelis.
I would create a state for the Palestinians people because it would probably stop the conflict between
the two communities. I also think it would lower the amount of terrorism drastically. Also I believe
that giving Palestine a state would lower the amount of civilians dying between Arabs and
Palestinians. If we give Palestine their own state we should let the Arabs and PAlestine have their own
separate government so that each state could live the way the wanted to and they would not have to
divide the rules and then argue over that(Karsh, n.d.) (Whitbeck, 2012). I would split Israel in half and
make them share Jerusalem and split that in half so that the Arabs would get half and the Palestinians
would get half of Jerusalem although it would be difficult. I would split Israel in half so that the Arabs
and the Palestinians would get an equal share of the land so that the Arabs would get their holy land
back. Even though the Palestinians will be getting less than they have now it will work out because
they are both getting equal land and they will both have a government to govern each state
separately(Virmani, n.d.) (Whitbeck, n.d.).
The positive effects of the U.S. keeping a close alliance with Israel are that Israel provides a lot of
information on terrorists

David Foster Wallace Consider The Lobster
For many Americans the food we eat is just something to be consumed for our needs and pleasures,
however in Consider The Lobster by David Foster Wallace the reader is challenged to think on what
his food was before it was food. In Consider The Lobster Wallace explores the Maine Lobster Festival
a correspondent of Gourmet Magazine, during his time at the MLF he sees a new side to lobster and
learns about the lobster as a sentient creature. After his exploration he comes to a moral dilemma of
cooking and eating lobster, he realizes that our society does not think of our food as anything more
than something to eat. Wallace uses his knowledge, research and a large amount emotion to persuade
the reader to think about the food they eat; using ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I contemplate this latter possibility: It could be that their lack of endorphin/enkephalin hardware
means that lobsters raw subjective experience of pain is so radically different from mammals that it
may not even deserve the term pain. (63). In this example Wallace is using reasoning and research to
uncover pain as a lobster perceives it. His use of research as well as controversial views really
invigorates the reader and convinces him to think more deeply about his views of pain and the pain
experience. Ultimately, the only certain virtues of the home lobotomy and slow heating methods are
comparative, because there are even worse/crueler ways people prepare lobster. (63). Wallace also
argues the point that our pursuit of cooking lobster humanely is rather pointless when most of the
world outside of America cruelly breaks the lobsters apart while they are alive and cook them. The
technique of comparing the issue throughout the world greatly changes the tone of the essay and
makes the logic of boiling lobster seem much more sound. After all, isn t being extra aware and
attentive and thoughtful about one s food and its overall context part of what distinguishes a real
gourmet. (64). Here Wallace changes his focus from the lobster to the gourmets who speak so highly
of this food. He is trying reason as to why these people who pride themselves on being experts are
being so ignorant to an issue which is relevant to them. Changing the focus also puts the reader in a
different mindset where he is considering himself as the gourmet and trying to reason as to why
ignoring this issue would be

Ebola Virus Chapter Summary
This book took place in the late 1980 s, and it is based upon an outbreak of the Ebola virus in a
monkey house located in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Reston, Virginia. The first occurrence of an
Ebola like virus (Marburg) takes place in Kenya and a French expatriate named Charles Monet is the
first to die from this disease. His terrible and excruciatingly fatal death is described in the most
horrific details by Preston. The hospital staff who treated Monet became infected with the virus as
well, traveling fast throughout the hospital and carried on more deaths. The Marburg virus was first to
explode in a vaccine factory in Germany in 1967. Over the next several chapters, the book describes
outbreaks that occurred four years before Monet s death. Preston then goes on to explaining how ...

Some of the people who were infected first in the story were visiting a site in Kenya called Kitum

Unfortunately for the U.S. scientists and military, the mission is unsuccessful, but the doctor who put
the expedition together was able to stow the equipment used when the cave was treated as a Hot Zone.
This experience and equipment made the eventual decontamination project at Reston possible. The
story ends with the book s author visiting Kitum Cave to explore the place that is still suspected to be
home to Ebola s host. Through all his research and writing on the book, he has learned how to keep
himself as safe as possible during his explorations. Rather than searching for the actual origin of the
virus, however, he is searching for the origin of the story. It s scary to think that this has happened in
our own society, and one little mistake can go a long, horrific road. Always remember to vaccinate and

The universal values portrayed through the texts Sonnets from the Portuguese (1845) by Elizabeth
Barrett Browning and F. Scott Fitzgerald s novel The Great Gatsby (1926) highlight the similar and
different intertextual perspectives and values relevant to the Victorian Era and 1920 s Jazz Age. Both
composers offer compelling critiques of their society dedicating thematic concerns of the restorative
power of hope and courtly idealised love. Through numerous literal techniques, substantial diversity
arises through the historical context, composer s personal experiences, and human values.

My Strengths And Weaknesses Of My Leadership Style
One of the most beneficial tools that an individual can engage in is self improvement. This course has
reemphasized active listening, reactive and reflective thinking, inspirational motivation, discipline
model, and the insist and cooperate negotiation. Each module has helped to demonstrate the areas of
strengths and weaknesses in my leadership style. I plan on improving my weaknesses and sharing my
strengths with others. I have noticed a trend in all of the modules that I do not stop and try to process
information. I try to innovate and insist on solutions for a quick fix. This can make me unapproachable
for my subordinates because I am ready to implement a solution as soon as I hear of a problem. My
peers can also feel as if I am being pushy when I hear of a problem and try to implement a solution.
My supervisors see that I am very proactive and try to find and fix any problem or perceived problem
that I am presented with. I spend majority of my time in the transformational leadership range. I plan
on improving my leadership style by using active listening, reactive and reflective thinking, and insist

them when they speak with me. I will continue to use active listening throughout my career. I realize I

“The Police Who Killed Walter Scott And Laquan Mcdonald
The police who killed Walter Scott and Laquan McDonald now face criminal charges largely due to
video cameras that captured the shootings. (No Tape, No Testimony) Police body cameras are used in
some police departments as a way to record any interaction between an officer and a citizen. Some
Americans today seem to think that police body cameras interfere with their right to privacy, because
they record sensitive situations. Other Americans believe that the cameras serve as evidence in case

Luckily, Police body cameras prevent those situations from happening. They capture the entire
interaction to keep things fair. With today s advanced technology, police body cameras have proven to
be very useful. They are crucial in putting an end to unnecessary police misconduct. In 2012, the
Rialto Police Department in California implemented police body cameras and recorded the outcome.
The results showed that the number of complaints filed against officers fell by 88 percent compared
with the previous 12 months. Use of force by officers fell by almost 60 percent over the same period
(Lovett). Without a doubt, police body cameras do the trick to prevent potentially dangerous situations
from occurring. As William A. Farrar, the Rialto police chief once stated, When you put a camera on a
police officer, they tend to behave a little better, follow the rules a little better. And if a citizen knows
the officer is wearing a camera, chances are the citizen will behave a little better. I strongly agree with
this statement because if the interaction between the officer and the citizen is being recorded, neither
of the two will want to behave badly. The citizen knows that their bad behavior could result in
consequences and the officer knows that their misconduct could result in punishment or even the loss
of their job. The cameras record every detail that can be looked back on if there was a complaint filed
against the officer that was wearing it. Clearly, police body

Crisis in Software Patents and Copyrights
Introduction
Gaining the knowledge and skills to provide computer technology products, services and software
requires a significant amount investment of both time and money. The individuals who do such a work
should receive financial rewards for their efforts. These rewards create an atmosphere of creativity and
competitiveness that becomes a driving force of the economy of the world. The products of this

To summarize, a copyright protects a particular piece of software, and a patent protects the idea
embodied in the software.
One weakness of copyright law is that even though it prevents someone from copying the expression
of an idea such as a program or screen images, it does not prohibit from writing code that uses the
same idea. In contrast, patent laws protect ideas such as algorithms, functions, systems or techniques
incorporated in the software but not the source code itself. Although it is fair to protect inventors from
software piracy and infringement, existing software patent and copyrights laws already brought
ultimate crises in software industries and societies.
This paper will discuss the impacts of several crises involving software patents and copyrights by
analyzing the affected stakeholders. The questions we will try to answer are:
Will software patents laws force to halt programmers?
What if the software copyright laws accomplishes globally?
At the end of each discussion, I will look at the moral issues from theological and deontological
ethical perspectives.
Will Software Patent Laws force to halt programmers creativeness?

Uncle Tom s Cabin Thesis
Research Paper Rough Draft
Hot off the press, Uncle Tom s Cabin was simultaneously celebrated as an important accomplishment
and slammed as untruthful fiction. This array of responses, combined with a plethora of repercussions,
demonstrates how incredibly influential Uncle Tom s Cabin truly was. The book fueled anti slavery
forces in the North while simultaneously igniting a fire of fury in the South; abolitionists, pro slavery
advocates, and African Americans all emphatically voiced their opinions about the book and its anti
slavery message. Additionally, Uncle Tom s Cabin has often been associated with the beginning of the
Civil War; it brought to light the fact that the North and South could not continue peaceably living in
persistent disagreement on vitally important topics such as slavery. Through incredible storytelling
abilities, Harriet Beecher Stowe conveyed to her readers the cruelties of enslavement, the injustices of
numerous pro slave laws, and the desperate need for the abolition of thraldom in our country. Within a

Tommy Hilfiger Case Study: EC 2102

prices for Hilfiger s merchandise. Analysing the prices will lead to a conclusion which will reveal if it

In the United States clothing sales in general have been growing less than 5 percent per year, much

It is clear that focusing sales in the domestic market would have been disadvantage to Hilfiger.
Invested internationally to create more demand and make use of the resources is fundamental in
foreign direct investment. This would have prompted Tommy Hilfiger to sell on an international basis
rather than focusing purely on the domestic market. Larger firms are able to capture economies of
scale and hence produce goods more cheaply than smaller and presumably less efficient firms (Brown,
D Swanson, L 2003: 234). This is apparent, with Tommy Hilfiger and its partners operate over 350
stores worldwide . (Tommy Hilfiger, 2012). By becoming a larger firm and having a large number of
stores worldwide will secure the economies of scale. This has a variety of benefits for the Tommy
Hilfiger which will help lower production costs and with the extra profits, Hilfiger may want expand
further to capitalized on new markets. In addition, with stores worldwide it may help reduce the risks
of depending on one market to support the long term future of the Hilfiger s corporation. These
benefits for the Hilfiger business can be associated with Dunning s eclectic theory which looks at the

States greatly benefitted from the building of these systems. Some challenges and benefits faced by
the government when creating the highway system were the need for safer roads, funding for
construction, and being an economy booster, while future challenges and benefits, as stated by U.S.

since the days the roads were not even paved yet, and continues to be very important to ensure the
country is as efficient as possible. Funding for construction was hard to obtain when roads were just

Who Is D Amville In Atheist s Tragedy
D Amville, the main antagonist in the tragedy The Atheist s Tragedy by Cyril Tourneur, ponders the
meaning of life throughout the play. After a climactic conversation with Borachio, D Amville makes
his stance on life very clear: life is limited, life is short, and the only way to defeat the forces of nature
and to extend life is through a healthy, wealthy, offspring. This idea alone becomes the motive for
many of D Amville s decisions: it is because of this concept that he kills his brother, Montferrers; it is
because of this ideology that he is determined to marry off his son, and when that plot fails, this
ideology is the main motivation for his attempted rape of Castabella. In the beginning of the play,

Every time D Amville speaks in verse, he follows the rhythmic patterns of iambic pentameter. As he
discusses the importance of his children to his life, asserting that There s my eternity...[which will] add
to life as much of happiness , D Amville follows the rules of iambic pentameter without flaw
(Tourneur, 254, 1.1.124 127). For example, in the lines And IN my REAson DWELLS the

syllable and five pairs of unstressed syllables in each of these lines. Moreover, these lines, just like
many others in this section, correctly follow the unstressed, stressed pattern. He does not waver, or
mistakenly add or remove a syllable; rather he is entirely confident in his speech. Throughout all of
his lines, in this passage, his meter is fixed, and it is stable. During the first few pages of the play,
whenever D Amville speaks, he continues to use the same manner in his speech. Just as he is

Examples Of Rational Choice Theory By Ronald Goby
1) According to the rational choice theory human actions are based on rationality. In other words an
individual that commit a crime is rational and he/she thinks that the decision that they are taken is the
one that bring the most benefits. Crime is committed for a rational person after the pros and cons from
disobeying the law are evaluated.
In today s society everybody knows that pornography is illegal. That a person is considered an adult
when he/she turns 21. Ronald Goby was clearly conscious about what he was doing, he had
knowledge that he was committing a crime and he knew the consequences were. He choose pleasure
over pain. The decisions made by Ronald Goby were involvement decisions because according to the
prosecutors he continued to send pornographic material (pictures) to the 13 year old victim. ... Show

Grant s Strategy For Union Victory Over Frederick The...
without concert, like a balky team, no two ever pulling together. Further, Grant wrote, that Union
forces had seventeen distinct commanders. Before this time these various armies had acted separately
and independently of each other, giving the enemy an opportunity often of depleting one command,
not pressed, to reinforce another more actively engaged. I determined to stop this. Grant then
immediately provided for a coordinated simultaneous advance of all forces with the main armies
strengthened as much as possible by reducing subsidiary forces previously cordoned for defensive
purposes. While he may not have been intentionally channeling Jominian ideas, Grant s strategy for
Union victory has been compared by historians with the Jominian prescription for victory over
Frederick the Great. Since the Confederates were vigorous in applying the principle of concentration
on successive lines of operations in order to defeat Union forces, Grant s strategy had to be directed to
preventing these Confederate concentrations. Grant s strategy was founded on nullifying the South s
principal means of defense, the Jominian shifting of forces successively from one line of operations to
another. Grant, in fact, was applying Jomini s prescription for victory by Daun over Frederick
coordination, and an invasion into the heart of his states. Grant s plans concentrated on two lines of
operations, Virginia and Georgia, and looked for success on only one of them. To prevent Lee

Sci Fi And Fantasy Stories Philosophers And Physicists
Time is a complex topic. One that only seems to be tackled by the authors of Sci Fi and Fantasy
stories philosophers and physicists. Whether it s a book, movie, or show we seem to only be able to
talk and theorize about time in the abstract. Though this idea is less prevalent in the Harry Potter
series, it is still important and raises a lot of questions. Is time simply the ticking hands on the clock or
is it more complicated than that? We go through life talking about time as if it s a simple idea: there is
a cause. which creates an effect and this continues in a never ending cycle. What if it s not that
simple? If we are working under the belief that time travel is possible, then it would have to be a little
bit more complicated than that. Now granted I have not yet had the honor of going backwards nor
forwards in time. Nor do I know anyone that has moved from their own timeline, but just because it
hasn t been done doesn t mean it s not possible. Remember people also didn t think we could put a
man on the moon, but NASA proved them all wrong. Time Travel may not have happened yet but that
doesn t mean it s not going to happen in the future. Deutsch and Lockwood explain that time travel is
in fact scientifically possible. In the Quantum Physics of Time Travel they use Einstein s theory of
relativity as well as several other theories to explain that time travel is actually a scientific possibility
(Deutsch and Lockwood). Although until it happens there is no way to know

Racism Against The Irish Racism
In this paper, I intend to investigate how racism against the Irish in Britain has changed since the
nineteenth century to the modern day, and these causes of the initial prejudices and how they adjusted
over time. To accomplish this, I will examine occurrences of anti Irish racism in Britain from a variety
of dates, and propose causes of the racist feelings though evidence of popular racist and colonialist
theory at the time. Through this analysis, I hope this paper achieves a better understanding of how
racism and prejudice works throughout time, so that its effects can be hindered in the future. The issue
of anti Irish racism in Britain is not a relic of the past. The Plymouth Herald published an article
reporting some instances of anti ginger related crimes in recent years. Officers revealed that in a crime
recorded on January 13, 2013 a red headed person was assaulted and occasioned actual bodily harm.
The offender was given a caution for the crime investigated by Plymouth Central and Plymstock
Sector. (The Plymouth Evening Herald, 25). All anti ginger and anti Irish crimes in the area would be
difficult to record, however since crimes against this group of people are not classified as hate crimes,
and thus are not reported as such. Not only is violence against the Irish in Britain a modern issue,
scientific studies concluding that the Irish and other minority groups in Britain are racially inferior,
traditionally thought of as an archaic practice during the

Differences Between Viruses And Widespread Spread
There is a trade off between rate of transmission and duration of infection. If a pathogen can gain
increased reproduction by using host resources, or doing anything that helps itself and hurts the host,
that tactic can be selected for. A pathogen gains from leaving the host mobile, which generally entails
leaving the host alive. A virus spreads only if an infected individual passes the virus on to more than
one new host.
However, if a virus is too aggressive and kills its host fast its fitness is not as successful. When the
virus makes its host sicker, it reduces its ability to spread due to death or isolation from other people.
The virus would then have a low evolutionary fitness unless it sufficiently increases its chance of
being transmitted by killing its host.
When a virus infects a new host species they may be susceptible to highly virulent strains. In order to
be successful in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Droplet occurs when bacteria or viruses travel on relatively large respiratory droplets that people
sneeze, cough, drip, or exhale, such as the common cold. Airborne transmission is similar. Viruses
travel on dust particles that become aerosolized when people sneeze, cough, laugh, or exhale, and
hang in the air. They can travel on air currents over large distances. Anthrax, Chickenpox, Influenza,
Measles, Smallpox, and Tuberculosis are examples of this .
Vector borne disease organisms are important factors that promote the evolutionary increases of
virulence. Disease organisms transmitted through vectors like mosquitoes, tend to be much more
damaging than diseases that are simply transmitted by people coughing or sneezing (droplet
transmission). In vector borne diseases immobilizing the host does not prevent transmission, but it
might even enhance it. Experimental studies indicate that mosquitoes are better able to bite a
laboratory animal when it is sick with a vector borne disease such as malaria than when it is healthy

what it is about, the new weapon technology vs. the conventional types of weapons used in previous

The Hindu Religion Essay
Sacraments
Samskaras are an important element in the belief and practice of the Hindu religion. The word
samskar is evolved from the root samskri which means to purify or form thoroughly. Samskriti –
meaning civilization and Sanskrit are derived from the root samskri . Samskrit was considered the
most refined and grammatically perfect language compared to other regional languages in ancient
times. The best rendering of samskara in English is made by the word sacrament, meaning religious
ceremony or act regarded as an outward and visible sign of inward and spiritual grace. Sacrament also
means confirmation of some promise or oath; things of mysterious significance, sacred influence and
symbol. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The general idea of the samskaras is that their practice surrenders the human soul to the service of
god.
Atri writes, By birth every one is a shudra, by samskars he becomes a Dvija (twice born). By learning,
he becomes a Vipra and by realizing Brahman, he attains the status of a Brahmana.
Symbolism has a significant role in the performance of samskaras, as it does in the entirety of the
Hindu religion. Both materialistic and action based symbols are abundantly obvious in each samskara,
and too numerous to mention. Examples include the use of Audumbar branches, or fig branches,
which stand for prosperity. The vatu (student) at upanayana and the bride at a wedding instructed to
stand on a rock signifying stability and firmness. Touching of the heart in upanayana between teacher
and student and in marriage between bride and groom, indicates residence of God and virtues of love
and harmony. Mass of rice indicates abundance and prosperity. Eating together means fusion of hearts,
grasping the hand (panigrahana) indicates assumption of responsibilities.
The standard sixteen samskars laid down by Hindu religious texts are:

The Impact Of Lesbian And Gay Marriage
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) issues have continuously triggered debates and
controversies among various individuals across the globe. The rising concerns leading to the
differences in opinions regarding LGBT emanate from the point of perceptions, cultural beliefs,
religious values and political basis. Due to the dynamics of not accepting the existence of the LGBT
people by some individuals in their communities, the LGBTs have found it hard to express themselves
freely and enjoy equal rights just like a regular citizen should.
In some communities, extreme measures have been taken against individuals suspected to be lesbian
or gay because of the way the public views the LGBT people. It is disheartening and traumatizing for
most of them to come out and express themselves openly. Some have been forced to lead double
standards. However, the situation has changed in Brazil and in America where laws and policies have
been developed to support and protect the LGBT community. Several states in the United States of
America and Brazil have demonstrated recognition and acceptance of the lesbian and gay community
through the passing and legalization of same sex marriages. The governments have issued bans on
discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity in the workplace and other areas
where the lesbians and gays got unequal treatment.
One of the policies considered significantly within the LGBT rights is the same sex marriage. Gay

Marcel Duchamp ( 1887-1968 )
Marcel Duchamp (1887 1968) was a French artist, known for his contributions to the Dada movement
and for his influence on other artists that followed him. He was born in Blainville sur Crevon, a small
town in northern France where his father served as a notary. His mother was artistically inclined and
thus Duchamp became interested in sketching and painting when he was a teenager. At the age of
seventeen, he moved to Paris to study art at the Académie Julian. As a young artist, he was influenced
by Cubism and Futurism, the two new art movements that were developing at the time. The Cubist
artists reduced objects (or people) to basic shapes and tried to show different sides of images at once.

In some cases he also created art by altering posters found on the street or prints of works by other
artists.
During the period of World War I (1914 1918), Duchamp became associated with a group of Parisian
artists known as the Dadaists. Dada was an art movement that was characterized by a spirit of anarchic
nihilism. The Dadaists were reacting to the madness of the European culture that had found itself
engaged in a bloody, devastating war. In the words of Tomkins, dada s organized insanity was a direct
response to the nightmare of unending, meaningless slaughter in the trenches. Another writer, Sarane
Alexandrian, describes Dada as a detonation of anger which showed itself in insults and buffoonery.
The Dadaists also attacked the traditional values of art. As claimed by Hans Richter in his book on the
Dada movement, these attacks were meant to mock the pretensions of European culture and the
traditional obsession of artists, art critics and art lovers with all that is holy.
Dada is often referred to as anti art and the Dada movement is often called an anti movement. As
noted by Alexandrian, the Dadaists seemed to be interested in rejecting everything that existed in art
and culture at the time. In Alexandrian s words, it was an anti movement which opposed not only all

The Origin Of The Jews After The Babylonian Exile
The word Diaspora derives from the Greek Diasperien i.e. dia (through) and sperien (to scatter).
According to Webster s dictionary, Diaspora refers to dispersion so we can say that the word
represents a centre called home from where the dispersion occurs. In addition to it the dictionary it
also associates the meaning with the dispersion of the Jews after the Babylonian exile. Thus we get
two meanings of the word Diaspora as a spread of population and a forcible dispersal. However the
term Diaspora doesn t mean any nomadic existence, though it suggests a movement from one place to
another, but it s not a nomadic existence because it is somewhere a journey, however that does not
mean all journey can be understood as that of a Diaspora. As in Diaspora does not mean causal travel,
even though diasporic journeys are mainly about settling down and about having roots elsewhere.
Thus, the concept of Diaspora has different meanings to different people according to their different
circumstances. For instance, when the Jews were exiled from the Babylon, they were uprooted from
their own homes and they had to rebuild their community and culture all over again, for them the
diaspora had different meaning since it was forced. But today the meaning of Diaspora could be
limited to any community of a particular nation outside its own country, sharing some common bonds
that eventually give the community a new identity within their existing identity, it is notable that this

They state that the first limitation is the sample that was taken from people at the higher end of
riskiness due the prompt they used in the paper that asked are you a risk taker? They state the second
limitation is that the people that answered the recruitment add where mostly white (75%) and well
educated. The third limitation that was reported that our assessment of actual risk behaviors was less
comprehensive, often relying on only a single measure or even on a single item (e.g., number of
unprotected sexual encounters) (lejuez, et al., 2002, p. 82). The fourth reported limitation is that
people were behaving cautiously on the task. Finally the BART only showed association with self
reported real world risk behaviors from the blue balloons. Therefore, the restricted range of the yellow
and orange balloons did not find the same relationship. Although there were some limitations to this
study, overall, it showed the BART it a useful tool in measuring risk taking behavior in the lab. The
BART was not designed to replace the existing self report measures; it is designed to tap into actual
risk taking behavior that can be observed in the lab. Risk taking behavior is only one facet of the issue
of developing an addiction. There are biological and environmental factors that impact outcomes.
Impulsivity is associated with risk taking behavior because both behaviors are associated with
maladaptive behaviors

Why worry? she asked. Let s say my motives are nothing less than my unwavering allegiance to the
treaty we signed with the English.
I am sure your motives are most sacred! Bahadur Singh replied, but we should wait for Raja Sahib
before taking any decision. I don t think he would allow anyone against whom no offense has been
established to be thrown in the prison.
Under these circumstances, the Rani snapped, perchance we should wait for him, and meanwhile I
will inform the English authorities in Delhi that this here this eunuch caught spying.
You may do as you wish, Chandra Singh said coldly, till then; he can be kept in the room reserved for
the guests.
The Rani considered it for a while, and then she yielded.

Podcasts And Content Marketing Essay
Content marketing began as a simple concept; one simply wrote blogs and articles related to specific
products and/or services and promoted them; however, content creation in 2018 has come full circle.
Businesses today have tried to keep up with content trends and have used different tools to promote
content in 2018.
Podcasts and Content Marketing
One of these content trends is the use of podcasts. Keep in mind that podcasting has been used by
many professions for quite some time now but its use in content marketing is relatively new.
Podcasting is fast catching. Approximately 40% people in the US listen to at least one podcast on a
regular basis. This trend has been observed in both genders. In addition, podcast listeners often buy ...

Format: Set up your basic show format. There is no right or wrong way to set up a podcast. The
important thing is that you feel comfortable with the entire idea, flow, and format. Some podcasters
ask questions from the listeners, others only provide a running commentary, and yet others wait until
the end to answer questions. However, for effective content creation in 2018, it might be a good idea
to interview an expert who answers relevant questions. This way you can provide your audience with a
more credible source and you also don t have to answer every question that your audience may ask.
Length: Remember, a podcast should not go on forever. Most people keep it for 45 60 minutes. This
seems like an appropriate length because anything longer than this could bore your listeners and force
them to sign off.
Engaging the listeners: One of the most critical elements of a podcast is that it should have content
that is both engaging and interesting for the audience. An effective way to do so is by picking up
trending topics, invite guests and experts and keep the flow of information smooth and relevant. Your
audience wants to learn something and they want to derive information from your podcast. You need
to make sure you are able to provide the information. Therefore, your best content advice in 2018 is

South Africa
The history of South Africa encompasses over three million years. Ape like hominids who migrated to
South Africa around three million years ago became the first human like inhabitants of the area now
known as South Africa. Representatives of homo erectus gradually replaced them around a million
years ago when they also spread across Africa and into Europe and Asia. Homo erectus gave way to
homo sapiens around 100,000 years ago. The first homo sapiens formed the Bushman culture of
skilled hunter gatherers. Around 2,500 years ago Bantu peoples migrated into Southern Africa from
the Niger River Delta. The Bushmen and the Bantu lived mostly peacefully together, although since
neither had any method of writing, researchers know little of this ... Show more content on

South Africa became a republic in 1961. The African National Congress offered the most active black
run opposition to apartheid, and after two decades of repression and economic troubles, the
government of F.W. de Klerk dismantled the apartheid system in 1992. The first multi racial vote in
South African history took place in 1994, electing Nelson Mandela as President. South Africa now
sees itself as a multi racial democracy.
Into the future
While the ANC (African National Congress) grassroots hold Mbeki in far less affection than the
beloved Madiba (Mandela), he has proven himself a shrewd politician, maintaining his political pre
eminence by isolating or co opting opposition parties. In 2003, Mbeki manoeuvred the ANC to a two
thirds majority in parliament for the first time, giving it the power to re write the constitution if it
chooses.
Yet not everything has gone the ANC s way. In the early days of his presidency, Mbeki s effective
denial of the HIV crisis invited global criticism, and his conspicuous failure to condemn the forced
reclamation of white owned farms in neighbouring Zimbabwe unnerved both South African
landowners and foreign investors.
Non political crime has increased dramatically since the end of apartheid. According to a report by
Sibusiso Masuku, in the seven years between 1994 and 2001, violent crime increased by 33% .[1] The
Economist reports the killing of approximately

Character Development In Beloved
Beloved is a novel by Toni Morrison based on slavery after the Civil War in the year 1873, and the
hardships that come with being a slave. This story involves a runaway captive named Sethe, who
commits a heinous crime to protect her child from the horrors of slavery. Through her traumas, Sethe
runs from the past and tries to live a normal life. The theme of Toni Morrison s story Beloved is how
people cannot escape the past. Every character relates their hard comings to the past through setting,
character development, and conflict.
The primary locations in this novel is in Sweet Home, a small farm containing slaves in Kentucky, and
124 Bluestone Road on the edge of Cincinnati, Ohio. Although the novel starts out in the home of
Sethe and her daughter, Denver, Sweet Home is where Sethe s experiences to the past begins. In Sweet
Home, the slave system was taken over by Mr. and Mrs. Garner, a kind couple who treated their slaves
like human beings. 124 becomes personified through the paranormal activities in the house, and
through the chapter names; 124 was spiteful, 124 was loud, and 124 was quiet. Mr. Bodwin, the owner
of 124, tells how the house has a history of paranoia, Women died there: his mother, grandmother, an
aunt and an older sister before he was born (259).
Through character development, the story also portrays the theme of escaping the past. Sethe s actions
are influenced heavily by her dead child, Beloved. When the human form of Beloved arrives while
sleeping

  • 2. Juvenile Justice In Juveniles The act of justice is to provide both fairness and equality for both the victim and offender. With the increase of juvenile offenders, the YOA was enhanced therefore forming the YCJA, which would ultimately focus on ending the cycle of recidivism among young offenders, and as a result of the YCJA being introduced, 42% of overall crime by youths had been declined from the year 2000 to 2014. In doing this the YCJA s main goals were and still are to recuperate the youthful offenders by focusing on rehabilitation and reintegration, and looking at the underlying cause of the crime. Although not acknowledging the suffering and constant fear that the victim and community go through, as the result of the crime. To achieve the goal of stopping crimes among youths, they have set forth to make reintegrating and rehabilitating a big part of keeping juveniles out of prison for the remainder of their life. Meaning, they try to instill positive behaviour and choices upon juvenile offenders by providing ways to try and migrate them back into the community while maintaining good behaviour. This, of course, does not happen without the assistance of YCJA counsellors and justice advocacy groups, as these groups make it their main interest to provide constant equality and stability towards these offenders. As the young offenders try to step in the right direction with the help of the YCJA, they are often given a created guideline or a set of rules that try and lead the offender towards ... The success of integrating technology with increased student achievement could vary based on students intrinsic motivational styles. ATLAS has identified viable motivational styles within individual learning styles. This research is important to the proposed study because it indicates that student engagement can be increased if technology is implemented correctly. Ehrlich, Sporte, and Sebring (2013) reported the differences in technology use in districts in Chicago. The study found that 92 percent of students have access to the internet and technology at home. However, the frequency of use varied depending on the school that the students attended. Twenty to thirty percent of students used technology at school never or rarely. An inequality of technology exists between schools and schools that use technology. Schools that frequently use technology have higher achieving students. Enrich et al., (2010) stated, Technology use is ubiquitous in America s colleges and most workplaces, and it is fast becoming accepted as fact that all students elementary and high school must be exposed to technology (p. 1). This research is important to the proposed study because it indicates that the use of technology is inconsistent even when there is similar availability to technology. According to a survey 8% of the total revenue generated by a telecom company is lost due to outage of power supplied to BTS. When the main power supply of the BTS fails, it shifts to UPS, if the failure presists for longer time the BTS shifts to generator. With all the equipments installed to avoid power failure the BTS power outage is very high. When the BTS power dies out that particular cell is out of the global communication network. In urban areas this phase is for a short period of time but in rural far off areas this problem is for long time unless someone comes to fix it. On observing, the power outage occurs due to lack of power monitoring systems. The system demands for a continuous monitoring of the power of the BTS so that when any one of the source dies out the service providers should fix it as soon as possible. In urban areas the revneue generated is very high and a particular company can afford alot of man power to monitor the BTS continuously but in rural areas the revenue generated is low and continuous monitoring by man power isnt possile all of the time. • 6. What Are Panic Disorders With Agoraphobia Panic Disorders with Agoraphobia By Jennifer Allen Abnormal Psychology Dr. Kuhnert Columbia College Abstract Panic Disorder with Agoraphobia Panic disorder and agoraphobia are two separate disorders that often go hand in hand with each other. An individual can be diagnosed with panic disorder, but a diagnosis without agoraphobia can often take place as well. Some individuals develop symptoms of agoraphobia, but do not have the classic panic disorder symptoms, hence the reason they are both listed as separate disorders in the DSM 5. Panic disorder can be identified as recurrent unexpected panic attacks. A panic attack is an abrupt surge of intense fear or intense discomfort that reaches a peak within minutes, and during which time four or more physical and cognitive characteristics take place (Hooley, J. 2017, pg.188). When dealing with panic disorder it can often become debilitating, due to the fact that the individual does not know when the onset of an attack will occur. This negative impact is driven by technology s ability to worsen social interaction and provide a source of constant distraction. Technology worsens social interactions by taking away real communication and relationship boundaries. With the rise in popularity of phones and social media, people are having less real communication. In Glennon Doyle Melton s essay, 6 Reasons Social Media is Dangerous for Me, she writes, The students were hanging around in awkward circles, trying to get noticed or trying not to get noticed, just like we did in high school. But we noticed with sadness one major difference. EVERY KID WE SAW WAS on her phone (3). Everyone is paying more attention and occupied with their gadgets instead of to actual people such as their family and friends. Technology is used by people as an avoidance strategy. People may be comfortable chatting online, but not face to face. When chatting online, people are unable to express themselves using body language, tone, or voice. It is clear that children will not know how to read basic social cues or engage in small talk as a result of technology. This causes them to not be able to gain crucial social skills needed for graceful social interactions. Technology also creates a lack of relationship boundaries in today s youth. This lamb, simply named Dolly (after Dolly Parton in reference to the mammary cell used as the donor), was the first clone to be born using specialized cells from an adult mammal. One side is the Arabian community and the other side is the Palestinian community. The Arabians are saying that the land belongs to them because God told them that it was their promised land or holy land. The Palestinians are coming into the land a attempting to claim it as theirs. I would create a state for the Palestinians people because it would probably stop the conflict between the two communities. I also think it would lower the amount of terrorism drastically. Also I believe that giving Palestine a state would lower the amount of civilians dying between Arabs and Palestinians. If we give Palestine their own state we should let the Arabs and PAlestine have their own separate government so that each state could live the way the wanted to and they would not have to divide the rules and then argue over that(Karsh, n.d.) (Whitbeck, 2012). I would split Israel in half so that the Arabs and the Palestinians would get an equal share of the land so that the Arabs would get their holy land back. David Foster Wallace Consider The Lobster For many Americans the food we eat is just something to be consumed for our needs and pleasures, however in Consider The Lobster by David Foster Wallace the reader is challenged to think on what his food was before it was food. In Consider The Lobster Wallace explores the Maine Lobster Festival a correspondent of Gourmet Magazine, during his time at the MLF he sees a new side to lobster and learns about the lobster as a sentient creature. I contemplate this latter possibility: It could be that their lack of endorphin/enkephalin hardware means that lobsters raw subjective experience of pain is so radically different from mammals that it may not even deserve the term pain. (63). In this example Wallace is using reasoning and research to uncover pain as a lobster perceives it. His use of research as well as controversial views really invigorates the reader and convinces him to think more deeply about his views of pain and the pain experience. Ultimately, the only certain virtues of the home lobotomy and slow heating methods are comparative, because there are even worse/crueler ways people prepare lobster. (63). Wallace also argues the point that our pursuit of cooking lobster humanely is rather pointless when most of the world outside of America cruelly breaks the lobsters apart while they are alive and cook them. The technique of comparing the issue throughout the world greatly changes the tone of the essay and makes the logic of boiling lobster seem much more sound. After all, isn t being extra aware and attentive and thoughtful about one s food and its overall context part of what distinguishes a real gourmet. (64). The results showed that the number of complaints filed against officers fell by 88 percent compared with the previous 12 months. Use of force by officers fell by almost 60 percent over the same period (Lovett). Without a doubt, police body cameras do the trick to prevent potentially dangerous situations from occurring. And if a citizen knows the officer is wearing a camera, chances are the citizen will behave a little better. I strongly agree with this statement because if the interaction between the officer and the citizen is being recorded, neither of the two will want to behave badly. One weakness of copyright law is that even though it prevents someone from copying the expression of an idea such as a program or screen images, it does not prohibit from writing code that uses the same idea. In contrast, patent laws protect ideas such as algorithms, functions, systems or techniques incorporated in the software but not the source code itself. Although it is fair to protect inventors from software piracy and infringement, existing software patent and copyrights laws already brought ultimate crises in software industries and societies. This paper will discuss the impacts of several crises involving software patents and copyrights by analyzing the affected stakeholders. The book fueled anti slavery forces in the North while simultaneously igniting a fire of fury in the South; abolitionists, pro slavery advocates, and African Americans all emphatically voiced their opinions about the book and its anti slavery message. Additionally, Uncle Tom s Cabin has often been associated with the beginning of the Civil War; it brought to light the fact that the North and South could not continue peaceably living in persistent disagreement on vitally important topics such as slavery. Through incredible storytelling abilities, Harriet Beecher Stowe conveyed to her readers the cruelties of enslavement, the injustices of numerous pro slave laws, and the desperate need for the abolition of thraldom in our country. This idea alone becomes the motive for many of D Amville s decisions: it is because of this concept that he kills his brother, Montferrers; it is because of this ideology that he is determined to marry off his son, and when that plot fails, this ideology is the main motivation for his attempted rape of Castabella. In the beginning of the play, everything is going according to D Amville s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As he discusses the importance of his children to his life, asserting that There s my eternity...[which will] add to life as much of happiness , D Amville follows the rules of iambic pentameter without flaw (Tourneur, 254, 1.1.124 127). For example, in the lines And IN my REAson DWELLS the PROvidENCE/to ADD to LIFE as MUCH of HAppiNESS , we see that there are five pairs of stressed syllable and five pairs of unstressed syllables in each of these lines. Moreover, these lines, just like many others in this section, correctly follow the unstressed, stressed pattern. He does not waver, or mistakenly add or remove a syllable; rather he is entirely confident in his speech. Throughout all of his lines, in this passage, his meter is fixed, and it is stable. During the first few pages of the play, whenever D Amville speaks, he continues to use the same manner in his speech. Just as he is unwavering in his speech, just as he is firm in his words, he is also firm in the beliefs he expresses in these lines. He stresses that IN his reason, the solution lies. He also stresses the word DWELLS, which also emphasizes his idea that reason is truly where he believes happiness and providence reside. His speech is, therefore, a reflection of his attitude; just as he does not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. Examples Of Rational Choice Theory By Ronald Goby 1) According to the rational choice theory human actions are based on rationality. In other words an individual that commit a crime is rational and he/she thinks that the decision that they are taken is the one that bring the most benefits. Crime is committed for a rational person after the pros and cons from disobeying the law are evaluated. In today s society everybody knows that pornography is illegal. • 22. Grant s Strategy For Union Victory Over Frederick The... without concert, like a balky team, no two ever pulling together. Further, Grant wrote, that Union forces had seventeen distinct commanders. Before this time these various armies had acted separately and independently of each other, giving the enemy an opportunity often of depleting one command, not pressed, to reinforce another more actively engaged. I determined to stop this. Grant then immediately provided for a coordinated simultaneous advance of all forces with the main armies strengthened as much as possible by reducing subsidiary forces previously cordoned for defensive purposes. While he may not have been intentionally channeling Jominian ideas, Grant s strategy for Union victory has been compared by historians with the Jominian prescription for victory over Frederick the Great. Since the Confederates were vigorous in applying the principle of concentration on successive lines of operations in order to defeat Union forces, Grant s strategy had to be directed to preventing these Confederate concentrations. Grant s strategy was founded on nullifying the South s principal means of defense, the Jominian shifting of forces successively from one line of operations to another. Grant, in fact, was applying Jomini s prescription for victory by Daun over Frederick coordination, and an invasion into the heart of his states. Grant s plans concentrated on two lines of operations, Virginia and Georgia, and looked for success on only one of them. To prevent Lee ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 23. Sci Fi And Fantasy Stories Philosophers And Physicists Time is a complex topic. One that only seems to be tackled by the authors of Sci Fi and Fantasy stories philosophers and physicists. Whether it s a book, movie, or show we seem to only be able to talk and theorize about time in the abstract. Though this idea is less prevalent in the Harry Potter series, it is still important and raises a lot of questions. Is time simply the ticking hands on the clock or is it more complicated than that? We go through life talking about time as if it s a simple idea: there is a cause. which creates an effect and this continues in a never ending cycle. What if it s not that simple? If we are working under the belief that time travel is possible, then it would have to be a little bit more complicated than that. Now granted I have not yet had the honor of going backwards nor forwards in time. Nor do I know anyone that has moved from their own timeline, but just because it hasn t been done doesn t mean it s not possible. Remember people also didn t think we could put a man on the moon, but NASA proved them all wrong. Time Travel may not have happened yet but that doesn t mean it s not going to happen in the future. Deutsch and Lockwood explain that time travel is in fact scientifically possible. In the Quantum Physics of Time Travel they use Einstein s theory of relativity as well as several other theories to explain that time travel is actually a scientific possibility (Deutsch and Lockwood). • 24. Racism Against The Irish Racism In this paper, I intend to investigate how racism against the Irish in Britain has changed since the nineteenth century to the modern day, and these causes of the initial prejudices and how they adjusted over time. To accomplish this, I will examine occurrences of anti Irish racism in Britain from a variety of dates, and propose causes of the racist feelings though evidence of popular racist and colonialist theory at the time. Through this analysis, I hope this paper achieves a better understanding of how racism and prejudice works throughout time, so that its effects can be hindered in the future. The issue of anti Irish racism in Britain is not a relic of the past. The Plymouth Herald published an article reporting some instances of anti ginger related crimes in recent years. Officers revealed that in a crime recorded on January 13, 2013 a red headed person was assaulted and occasioned actual bodily harm. The offender was given a caution for the crime investigated by Plymouth Central and Plymstock Sector. (The Plymouth Evening Herald, 25). All anti ginger and anti Irish crimes in the area would be difficult to record, however since crimes against this group of people are not classified as hate crimes, and thus are not reported as such. Not only is violence against the Irish in Britain a modern issue, scientific studies concluding that the Irish and other minority groups in Britain are racially inferior, traditionally thought of as an archaic practice during the ... • 25. Differences Between Viruses And Widespread Spread There is a trade off between rate of transmission and duration of infection. If a pathogen can gain increased reproduction by using host resources, or doing anything that helps itself and hurts the host, that tactic can be selected for. A pathogen gains from leaving the host mobile, which generally entails leaving the host alive. A virus spreads only if an infected individual passes the virus on to more than one new host. However, if a virus is too aggressive and kills its host fast its fitness is not as successful. When the virus makes its host sicker, it reduces its ability to spread due to death or isolation from other people. The virus would then have a low evolutionary fitness unless it sufficiently increases its chance of being transmitted by killing its host. When a virus infects a new host species they may be susceptible to highly virulent strains. In order to be successful in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Anthrax, Chickenpox, Influenza, Measles, Smallpox, and Tuberculosis are examples of this . Vector borne disease organisms are important factors that promote the evolutionary increases of virulence. Disease organisms transmitted through vectors like mosquitoes, tend to be much more damaging than diseases that are simply transmitted by people coughing or sneezing (droplet transmission). In addition to it the dictionary it also associates the meaning with the dispersion of the Jews after the Babylonian exile. The third limitation that was reported that our assessment of actual risk behaviors was less comprehensive, often relying on only a single measure or even on a single item (e.g., number of unprotected sexual encounters) (lejuez, et al., 2002, p. 82). Now, I want them to take him to the lockup and to interrogate him. Chandni eyes widened with shock and fear. The Rani turned to her and she lowered her gaze to avoid her gleaming dark resentful eyes. Really, Chandni Jan, you must forgive my distrust, but I have never heard such fantastic tales. Her knowing glance suggested she had been doing something wicked. Chandni could only gape at the ground desperately. In a moment, she realized that the Rani s eyes were probing her face as if she would hunt out her inmost secrets. I don t apprehend your motives, Bahadur Singh said impersonally. Rani Sahiba smiled clandestinely, as though only she could comprehend what was happening. Why worry? she asked. Let s say my motives are nothing less than my unwavering allegiance to the treaty we signed with the English. I am sure your motives are most sacred! Bahadur Singh replied, but we should wait for Raja Sahib before taking any decision. I don t think he would allow anyone against whom no offense has been established to be thrown in the prison. Under these circumstances, the Rani snapped, perchance we should wait for him, and meanwhile I will inform the English authorities in Delhi that this here this eunuch caught spying. You may do as you wish, Chandra Singh said coldly, till then; he can be kept in the room reserved for the guests. The Rani considered it for a while, and then she yielded. Podcasts And Content Marketing Essay Content marketing began as a simple concept; one simply wrote blogs and articles related to specific products and/or services and promoted them; however, content creation in 2018 has come full circle. Businesses today have tried to keep up with content trends and have used different tools to promote content in 2018. Podcasts and Content Marketing One of these content trends is the use of podcasts. Keep in mind that podcasting has been used by many professions for quite some time now but its use in content marketing is relatively new. Podcasting is fast catching. The important thing is that you feel comfortable with the entire idea, flow, and format. Some podcasters ask questions from the listeners, others only provide a running commentary, and yet others wait until the end to answer questions. However, for effective content creation in 2018, it might be a good idea to interview an expert who answers relevant questions. This way you can provide your audience with a more credible source and you also don t have to answer every question that your audience may ask. Length: Remember, a podcast should not go on forever. Most people keep it for 45 60 minutes. This seems like an appropriate length because anything longer than this could bore your listeners and force them to sign off. Engaging the listeners: One of the most critical elements of a podcast is that it should have content that is both engaging and interesting for the audience. An effective way to do so is by picking up trending topics, invite guests and experts and keep the flow of information smooth and relevant. Your audience wants to learn something and they want to derive information from your podcast. You need to make sure you are able to provide the information. Therefore, your best content advice in 2018 is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first multi racial vote in South African history took place in 1994, electing Nelson Mandela as President. South Africa now sees itself as a multi racial democracy. Into the future While the ANC (African National Congress) grassroots hold Mbeki in far less affection than the beloved Madiba (Mandela), he has proven himself a shrewd politician, maintaining his political pre eminence by isolating or co opting opposition parties. In the early days of his presidency, Mbeki s effective denial of the HIV crisis invited global criticism, and his conspicuous failure to condemn the forced reclamation of white owned farms in neighbouring Zimbabwe unnerved both South African landowners and foreign investors. Non political crime has increased dramatically since the end of apartheid. According to a report by Sibusiso Masuku, in the seven years between 1994 and 2001, violent crime increased by 33% .[1] The Economist reports the killing of approximately ...
