Discursive Essay On Abortion
Writing a discursive essay on the topic of abortion can be a challenging task, given the
sensitivity and complexity surrounding the subject. The controversy and deeply rooted opinions
on both sides make it difficult to navigate and present a balanced perspective. Crafting an essay
that addresses the ethical, moral, legal, and medical aspects while remaining impartial requires a
thorough understanding of the subject matter.
One of the challenges lies in conducting extensive research to gather relevant and up-to-date
information. Abortion involves multifaceted issues, ranging from women's reproductive rights to
societal values, religious beliefs, and scientific considerations. Staying informed about various
viewpoints is essential for constructing a well-rounded argument.
Expressing empathy and respect for diverse opinions is crucial when dealing with such a
polarizing topic. Striking a balance between advocating for one's position and acknowledging
opposing views without dismissing them outright is a delicate task. Finding common ground or
identifying areas of compromise can contribute to a more nuanced and compelling essay.
The emotional nature of the abortion debate adds another layer of difficulty. Writers must
navigate the potential for strong emotional reactions from readers while maintaining a composed
and rational tone. Avoiding inflammatory language and presenting facts objectively is essential to
foster a constructive dialogue.
Furthermore, constructing a clear and logical essay structure is vital to effectively communicate
the key points. Ensuring a smooth flow of ideas and transitions between paragraphs is necessary
for the reader to follow the argument coherently.
In conclusion, writing a discursive essay on abortion demands a high level of research,
sensitivity, and rhetorical skill. It requires addressing the multifaceted aspects of the topic,
acknowledging diverse perspectives, and maintaining a respectful and empathetic tone. Despite
the challenges, tackling such complex subjects encourages critical thinking and fosters a deeper
understanding of the issues at hand.

Compare And Contrast Medusa s Head And The Clash Of
Titans...
Medusa s Head and the Clash of Titans are short mythical stories that portray the
ancient legend of Perseus heroic journey. Both versions contain ancient gods,
goddesses, demigods, complicated trials, and terrifying monsters/creatures that are
encountered along Perseus s quest. There are many similarities between the book
version to that of the movie version. However, the director makes many plot changes
in the movie to balance out the sequence of events and vary the emotional and
physical activities throughout Perseuss story.
One of the major differences the director makes in the movie (dramatically
differentiates it from the book) is the reason why Perseus goes on a mission. In the
book, King Polydectes sets up a plan to get rid of Perseus by daring him a difficult
task, to kill Medusa and bring back her head. Perseus is challenged to a tough
venture and proves his braveness by taking on the bet. By killing the beast, Perseus
provides a gesture of gratitude towards Polydectes because he has nothing else offer
him since he is a servant. However, in the movie, Perseus must battle both Medusa
and the Kraken in order to save Princess Andromeda and prevent her from being
sacrificed. The director made this a great change in the movie because it portrays
Perseus as a better classical, archetypal hero. Not only does it enhance Perseus s
heroic qualities, but it also demonstrates his maturity and humility, he is one of a
kind. In the Clash of Clans, Perseus realizes he must
Factors That Make The Crude Oil Prices Essay
Introduction Currently the global crude oil price was upside down, the factor that
make the fall price have been be to cases to the world. Which is it is always
become the global problem. The paper is organized as follows. The second one
explain about the organization and the war, how can they change the price when
no one cannot know the price will up or not. The third one presents how the
condition of the crude oil make the price change, like the supply demand of the oil.
The fourth section discuss the external and internal that make the price change,
like the goverment policies and the tax or the producer. The fifth one will

Biofuels As A Fuel Source
Biofuels as a Fuel Source: Paper 3 In a time of energy crisis and a subsequent
search for a renewable replacement for crude oil, biofuels have arisen as a source of
hope. Currently, the largest source of biofuels in the United States is corn based
ethanol. The large scale of corn ethanol production and the potential promise of
finding a domestic, reliable source of energy, requires the fuel s viability as a
replacement for crude oil to be evaluated. However, there is debate surrounding corn
based ethanol s environmental, economic, and social impacts. The scientists and
governments who support the development of biofuels claim that it will not only
provide a new and sustainable source of energy but also that it will reduce greenhouse
gas emissions and is therefore better for the environment. However, although corn
based ethanol continues to harbor support from the United States government,
environmentalists argue that ethanol is not substantially better for the environment,
especially when the effects of its production are taken into account. Also, while some
larger farms profit from ethanol production, it places economic stress upon smaller
farms and the agricultural industry and leads to higher food prices that are a great
detriment to those living at the level of subsistence. Therefore, in order to produce
energy efficient, environmentally friendly fuel, the United States must work towards
developing cellulosic biofuels and those produced by microbes as they have
Portrayal Of Women In Hamlet
Women are truly the backbones of society. They continue to bloom and flourish,
helping to further grow and expand communities and the world, but are often cast
to the shadows because of stereotypes placed on them dating from centuries ago. It
is no secret that Shakespearean plays set basis for these stereotypes, but because of
the world views on women s rights in Shakespeare s time, his female characters
were allowed to break free from the confines of society. In Shakespeare s most
famous play, Hamlet, the two leading ladies, Ophelia and Gertrude, break free from
the standard by showcasing various acts of defiance, choosing their own paths and
_______________________________. Shakespearean plays often portray women as
fragile, negligible and untrustworthy people. Because of the dynamics of Hamlet, the
women in the play closely fit the accepted stereotype but, prove to be the strongest
characters written in this tragic tragedy by defying the restrictions placed upon them.
Although it may not be clear to the naked eye, the women in Hamlet display certain
acts of disobedience through small deeds. Ophelia, Hamlet s love interest in the
play, showcases her lack of obedience and wit through two separate scenes. She first
portrays these rebellious characteristics when she first tells her father of the
relationship she has with Hamlet. Many people would argue that this does not show
any of Ophelia s stray from the norm and some may argue that this scene would more
portray a father
Interview Questions On Counseling And Counseling
I was able to interview four people about their perceptions and beliefs about
counseling. I noted differences and similarities among their responses which bring
about a clearer perspective on the reality of counseling as a profession. The family
and friends I choose to interview about their perspective on counselingincluded my
mom Cathy, my brother Ben and my friend Mackenzie. I interviewed a counselor
named Chris who is a youth leader at my church. Chris works at Penn State Hershey
Medical Center Psychiatry Unit with adults doing individual, couple and family
counseling. The responses given through these interviews allowed for a broader and
clearer view of the perception and reality of counseling. The first question posed to
the interviewees was what happens in a typical counseling session. My mom, Cathy
stated she thoughtthe counselor asks questions to the client and listens. She went on
to explain the counselor is trying to get to the root of the problem. The process of
counseling is done through the lens of empathy according to Cathy. Mackenzie states
the counseling begins by the counselor asking the new client questions about him or
herself. The counselor is trying to figure out what brought the client into counseling
and discuss what goals can be achieved. Ben thought counseling session starts with
the client telling the counselor how they are feeling. The counselor is able to move
the client past the surface and move to the issues that lie beneath the surface

Similarities Between Han China And Imperial Rome
In 600 BCE 600 CE, the early domestication of animals, war, patriarchy, and
privately owned property were all contributing factors to the establishment and
growth of slavery in civilizations. Imperial Rome and and Han China were socially
similar in that they both had inequalities amongst the different classes. In contrast,
slavery in Imperial Rome was the basis for society, while in Han Chinaslavery was
neither widespread nor was it a major source of labor.
Imperial Rome and Han China were socially similar because vast social
inequalities led to rebellion. In 73 BCE Rome, a revolt for freedom broke out
among gladiators that was named for its leader, Spartacus. Slaves in Rome also used
weapons of the weak, which included theft, poor work
Cameroon Between Cameroon And South Africa Essay
Abstract
Most countries in the world today have become developed and while Cameroon
and many underdeveloped countries have remained poor, but could become
develop because Development economic and Solow`s growth theory have proven
that all countries can become develop. Developed countries were also poor some
years ago but have become developed over time. The wide gap between developed
and underdeveloped countries shows that, underdeveloped countries are not
making enough efforts to become develop. Therefore, this paper seeks to analyze
the reasons why Cameroon has remained underdeveloped. An analysis on how
other countries have become developed proves that Cameroon can also become
developed so possible solutions on how it can be become developed is examined.
To examine if Cameroon could also become developed, a brief analysis is done on
how other countries have become developed, and a comparison is done between
Cameroon and South Africa. The results shows that, Cameroon can become develop
if the adopt development economics theories properly. These theories show how
underdeveloped countries can become developed with time. Cameroon can become
developed if they adopt these development economic theories properly.
Keywords: underdevelopment, development, poverty, growth
Solow`s model of economic growth explains that, countries have been able to grow
mainly due to capital accumulation, technological changes, increased saving ratio,
maintenance of good banking and loan
How Globalization Affects My Country
I will graduate this spring, after three years at Union College, and I am looking
forward to extending and developing my academic interests in international
economics, which is the area of specialty I have concentrated on, in my coursework
and research during my undergraduate study. With the experience of growing up in
China, I want to explore more about how globalization affects my country. I am
currently working on my economicssenior thesis using a macroeconometric model
of the Chinese economy to examine how increasing consumption, as a ratio of
GDP (C/Y), increases China s real GDP in a series of short run steps spread over a
number of years. In particular, I am interested in extending my senior thesis to
investigate the possibility of duplicating China s rapid economic growth in other
developing countries, especially in East Asian. My interest in International
Economics, led me to apply to the Seward Fellows program an honors program at
Union College and as part of that program I designed an independent theme minor
to analyze China s trade. Since I applied to graduate one year early when I was a
sophomore, I chose to compress my two term Seward project in six weeks in the
summer of second year. My Seward project was to investigate the behaviors of the
yuan USD exchange rate in the past ten years. After evaluating the growth rate of
the ratio of China s foreign reserves over imports from 2005 to 2014, I noticed that
the year of 2009 was a turning point; before
The Importance of Harry Hoveden in Making History Essay
The Importance of Harry Hoveden in Making History
In making history, Brian Friel uses Hugh O Neill to define the characters in the play,
and the way in which his actions affect them gives the audience some characteristics
to decide on the personality of particular characters.
Harry Hoveden is obviously an important character in the play because he plays a
major part in the play, and appears in most of the major scenes. It is also clear that
he is important to O Neill because he is often the one person he turns to in times of
crisis.
Harry is presented as a very loyal and sober character by, he serves to balance out
some of the other characters almost like a buffer. His calm nature in times of distress
or excitement ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This calming and soothing effect also reflects on the audience because if he was not
included, the play would be a lot more negative and the audience would be more
likely to feel insecure about the flow of the play. His character contrasts so much
with most of the other characters that it adds diversity to making history. It makes
some scenes more interesting because of the presence of this calm and obviously
intelligent character and his political soundness can mock characters like O Donnell.
When compared to characters like O Donnell
Harry is a very likeable character and appears as someone to be trusted and relied
upon.
Brian Friel also uses him and his overwhelming loyalty towards O Neill to show a
weakness in O Neill s character. O Neill uses Harry to portray certain characters via
contrast and particularly O Neill by the way he treats Harry. It often appears that
O Neill takes Harry for granted showing another side to his character that can be
thought of as weakness. Also the fact that whenever O Neill puts Harry down he
regrets it almost immediately shows that O Neill is insecure and sometimes does
not think before he speaks, so Brian Friel uses Harry to show a very important side
to O Neill that could have affected his judgment during the wars he fought and led.
Harry is also an expositional character, and Brian uses him to expose

15 Layer Lasagnes At The Spaghetti Warehouse
The Spaghetti Warehouse, an italian restaurant in downtown Toledo, is most well
known for their sourdough bread, rich garlic butter and nostalgic decor. Olive
Garden, another italian eatery, is known for their endless soup, salad, and delectable
breadsticks. However, these two diners have more in common than simply italian
cuisine. The two places almost have identical menus and prices. So, how does one
decide which place to have a bite to eat? Although reading reviews of the two on
Eat.com is simple, one must take into account the following criteria to truly make the
right decision.
First, the guest must consider the diversity of the menu. Although the two diners have
quite similar menus, Olive Garden offers many more seafood and gluten free ... Show

There s a fine line between an obnoxious, superfluous server, and a thoughtful,
attentive one. Furthermore, a dining experience shouldn t be impersonal or terribly
intimate. The Spaghetti Warehouse offers a haimish environment that is good for
large parties and small dinners out. The unique restaurant features a train car
running through the middle of the dining room where guests can eat their food.
The Spaghetti Warehouse also features two unique party rooms upstairs, and an
entire downstairs area fit for parties and live music. The eatery is equipped with the
latest technology but uses it wisely and in good taste. Olive Garden s environment
is family friendly, however, the visit can easily become boring and impersonal.
When the guest is seated at their table, they are given the option to use a small
computer sitting on their table. This small computer enables the guest to order all of
their food without even making contact with the server. This misuse of technology
can easily make the dining experience flop, and quickly puts Olive Garden in second
place for good, humble
Symbolism Of The Birthday Party
The Birthday Party hat is a symbol known to many. It represents what is most
likely the most celebrated event in all of mankind, the Birthday. The Birthday
Party hat is the perfect symbol for the Birthday Party, not only because it is what
comes to mind when a Birthday is thought of, but because it is also filled with with
colors that might remind you of your birthday party experiences. The mascot is
supposed to represent the birthdays of the voters, because the birthday party cares
about you, and wants to make America a better place for everyone. Opponents
might think that the party mascot represents the birthday party as well. Because
there s not much debate on what a birthday party hat means. It s the universal sign
of a birthday, along with cake and presents, although presets could also represent
Christmas. Opponents could also say the hat represents the birthday wish that
someday, someone from this party will become president, although they most
likely will not believe in birthday wishes, therefore insulting the Birthday Party in a
very underhanded way. They might also say that the birthday party mascot means
nothing at all, that it s just a stupid symbol for a stupid party. Education is a
important thing in the lives of all children, so that they may grow up to lead good
jobs, and make enough money to support themselves and their family. This is why
Education is so important to Birthday Parties, this is why we believe that all
children should have well funded schools to be educated in, so that students will be
able to do things in school that rewire a higher budget, like have computers for
every student, or expanding or renovating old school grounds. Since education is so
important to the lives of children, our party believes that the government should not
change the laws around mandatory school attendance. This is because education is
very important to children; But if children are not getting educated because they
didn t have to go to school because it they didn t want to, then how will they fair
later in life? Where people are only really willing to hire people with High School
education levels, but since these children did not get the education that was provided,
then they might have to get jobs
Crime Affects Crime
My research question is How does committing crimes affect a person s physical health
and do different crimes affect physical health more or less? It is important to the
criminal justice system to determine how much crime actually affects the health of an
offender. Assuming that committing crimes causes stress to the individual, stress can
show negative side effects on the human body that can be physical or mental. By
identifying any health problems created by committing crimes, one could potentially
deter potential criminals. In the criminal justicesystem in the United States, there
currently is not much deterrence for criminals in regards to punishment. There is the
potential to use the risk of them affecting their health as a deterrent. It is also
important to look at how different crimes affect the physical health of an offender.
For instance, a small crimesuch as shoplifting may not cause as much stress as
robbery. Looking into the potential for higher stress levels in certain crimes could
lead to offenders avoiding those crimes. If criminals stop committing the higher stress
crimes, it can help law enforcement and citizens focus on stopping the lesser crimes.
Although I could not find an article or experiment related to crime causing stress, I
found the opposite. Strain theory attempts to explain that stress causes crime. Agnew
s general strain theory is considered to be one of the most accurate theories in
explaining crime. He argued that the stresses from the
The Cask Of Amontillado Verbal Irony Essay
Poe also craftily includes verbal irony in his writings to enhance and amplify the
style of suspense and overall, apprehension. An exquisite paragon of this stylistic
technique is Poe s short story, The Cask of Amontillado. In said story, the main
character, known as Montresor, cleverly plots to murder his egregious foe, Fortunato,
by entrapping and then, abandoning him in Montresor s catacomb underneath his
home. To avert any witnesses, Montresor tricks his stewards into vacating his
palazzo: there were no attendants at home; they had absconded to make merry in
honour of [a festival]. I had told them, that I should not return until morning and had
given them explicit orders not to stir from the house. These orders were sufficient, I
well knew, to insure their immediate disappearance, one and all, as soon as my back
was turned, (24).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yet, in this scenario, the opposite is demonstrated; Montresor, the master of the
home, had delivered an order, which he had expected and wished that his servants
would disregard. Whereas in most cases, masters would fire disobedient servants,
Montresor had instead exploited the servants lack of loyalty to assure their desertion
when he planned to murder Fortunato. Besides the touch of humor this verbal irony
invents, it also adds mysteriousness to the story, allowing the readers themselves to
experience fear, angst, and anxiety at the thought of how cunningly composed and
devised Montresor s heinous plans are. Thus, the style of the story becomes
suspenseful and

History Hernan Cortez arrived in Veracruz in April of 1519 with the goal of
finding New Spain. When Cortez found the Aztecs, his goal switched to defeating
the Aztec Nation and stealing all of their gold. Moctezuma II believed that Cortez
and his men were the light skinned messengers of one of their gods. Moctezuma
was captured and eventually died as a hostage while his empire tried to overtake the
Spanish. (interKnowledge Corp., 2015) Cortez and his men got away. Four more
months of war were still to come before the Aztec capital, TenochtitlГЎn, fell to the
conquistadors. The Aztecs had no gold, but what they did have was corn and beans.
The Spanish took all of the food and enslaved most of the native people. Cortez and
his men burned all of the religious temples of the Aztec and forcibly converted them
to Christianity. The way that they converted them to Christianity was through
Catholic Priests learning the local language and converting the locals, and then
teaching them Spanish. At almost the same time the Spanish were able to wipe out
the Aztec religion and their language. (Schmal, 2015) Many of the native population

Example Of Formative Assessment
INTRODUCTION
This assignment is about assessments and important of assessments. Assessment is
important component for students progress. Without assessment students as well as
teachers will not know what they have done in the process of teaching and learning.
Without assessments students will not know how much they know and where they
are. Without assessments teachers will not know how much they have to help their
students to improve their knowledge and skills. So it is important to know about
assessments. So, in this assignment it is clearly brief about the major two types of
assessment that we are using here in Maldives. That is Formative assessment and
summative assessment.
In this assignment there are two parts. In first part I have written literature review on
assessment and its importance and also definition, purpose, examples and advantage
and disadvantages ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Students will improve their learning, as well as teachers will improve their teaching
through formative assessment. Because it is happening while students learning.
Teachers can identify students problem in formative assessment and that problem can
diagnose students and have adjustment in the lessons and instructions given.
пЃ¶SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Summative assessments are used to measure what students have learnt at the end of a
unit, to promote students, to ensure they have met required standards on the way to
earning certification for school completion or to enter certain occupations, or as a
method for selecting students for entry into further education (CERI, n.d). In other
words, summative assessment is assessment of learning.
In Summative assessment point or grade will be given at the end semester to assess
what have been learned throughout the semester. Grades and marks are the result of
summative assessment. Students will not get chance

Symptoms And Treatment Of Morgellons Syndrome Essay
Morgellons Syndrome, as identified by the Centres for Disease Control and
Prevention, is an unexplained constellation of symptoms . Symptoms include non
healing skin lesions, emergence of fibres and solid material from the skin and
disturbing sensations on the skin, including the feeling of being bitten, pricked by
pins and a stinging sensation. These symptoms are chronic. (Pearson, Selby, Katz,
Cantrell, Braden, Parise, Paddock, Lewin Smith, Kalasinsky, Goldstein,
Hightower, Papier, Lewis, Motipara, Eberhard, 2012. p.1 2.). However, despite
sufferers of Morgellons Syndrome reporting these phenomena, the condition is not
currently recognised by medical science and is believed to be delusional
parasitosis, a condition where patients falsely believe their body is infested with
bugs (Koblenzer, 2006. p. 920). Morgellons sufferers who use the online forum
www.mdjunction.com don t believe this diagnosis is justified and regularly
express stress and isolation due to the medical community s lack of belief in their
suffering. Some sufferers turn to this forum to ask for help, some offer
explanations and hope to newcomers and others come to vent their emotional
frustration for not being believed their disease is real both by doctors and by those
closest to them. Anyone can join the forum and access is free. It is also a safe space
for sufferers to let off steam and the overwhelming amount of comments I read in
response to blog posts were supportive. One of the most salient

question of power in the telling of a narrative, in which the point of view is the

Counter narrative identifies as a positional category, in which material is reread in a

To say that African descended populations and cultures have been erased is not an
unreasonable statement because the moment Africans were enslaved and taken from
their home country they were taught a false history, in which their past was not
filled with kingship but with destitution. For example, in Marcus D. Jones excerpt
Africa in Mexico, Jones states, Moreover, like the people of Coyolillo, the majority
of the inhabitants of the coastal communities south of the City of Veracruz have
even forgotten or perhaps were never taught the country s colonial past, when
enslaved Africans were brought directly from Africa to Mexico (Jones). Thus, many
Mexican people don t realize that they are in fact from African decent. If the people
of Mexico were taught of their past it would answer various question regarding the
ancestors of not only Spanish, Asian, and Indigenous but also African. Ultimately,
under colonial rule, Mexican society was divided into a system of social classes
where groups they were told particular aspects of their history; unfortunately, they

Like The Sun And A Visit To Grandmother
People often say they want the truth in the answers of questions they have about
themselves. However, that is not always the best thing to do. Sekhar in Like the Sun
and Charles in A Visit to Grandmother found this out when the truth was brought to
the surface. Once a year, Sekhar experiments with the truthfor an entire day; he says
that he will tellthe truth no matter the cost. In a similar way, Charles believes a liehis
entire life, and is unable to believe the truth when he discovers it. The authors R.K.
Narayan and William Melvin Kelley show in their stories that the truth can hurt by
using characterization, inference, and foreshadowing. In both Like the Sun and A

Sekhar s experiment of telling the truth keeps him honest 100% for one day out of
the year. With the use of foreshadowing, the audience can tell that Sekhar s report
about the headmaster s music is not going to be fun to hear when he says Can t I
give it tomorrow, sir? (Narayan 193). Demanding the answer immediately, the
headmaster receives a brutally honest report on how the quality of his music is not
as superior as he thought it was. Comparably, foreshadowing tells us how Charles
has something against his mother. When Charles bends to kiss his mother as they
walk in the house, Chig, his son, says that ... something new and almost ugly had
come into his eyes: fear, uncertainty, sadness, and perhaps even hatred. (Kelley
243). Foreshadowing helps lead the readers to believe that Charles left home years
ago because of something that his mother did when he was a child. His mother is
taken aback when she hears why he left; Charles learned to live with the lie that his
mother did not love him while he was growing up, or anytime thereafter. With the use
of foreshadowing, the readers can predict that the truth will be hard to take for both

Why Is Medea Filicide
Argumentative Essay Rough Draft Filicide is the deliberate act in which a parent
kills his or her own children. In Euripides Medea, Medea commits filicide along with
murder of a princess. Medea was married to a man named Jason who divorced her
and married the princess, Glauce. Medea was so upset by this that she killed his new
wife and her and Jasons children. When Medeas quest for revenge leads her to
slaughter innocent beings, and some call her justified, but there are many reasons
why this is not the case. Those who believe Medea was just in her murders agree
that Medea was betrayed by Jason in his breaking of marriage oaths, and in order
to bring justice, feels the need to bring suffering to him. Kim Zarins refers to
Medea as ВЁa victim of Jason s false loveВЁ (Zarins 2) Medea loved him so
passionately and then hated him so much that she was unaware of except her desire
for vengeance. David Allsop said,ВЁ Medea s love of Jason stems from an oath

Dictionary.com defines justice as ВЁthe administering of deserved punishment or
rewardВЁ (Justice). As Princess Glauce her children did nothing to deserve their
murders, Medea is clearly unjust in this act. But in order to hurt Jason as much as
possible, which, in her opinion, is only fair, Medea takes away what was most
important to him: his children and his new wife, a potential child bearer. David
Sacks says, ВЁThe primary purpose of marriage in ancient Greece was to produce
childrenВЁ (1). Jason said, ВЁI wanted... to be the father of royal children bound by
blood to our two children: a thing which would have brought welfareВЁ (Euripides

Beatitude Essay
I chose the beatitude, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied . I chose this beatitude due to the fact I believe that it is
extremely important. Surprisingly, I realized that it is important as a result of
numerous people in our society aren t fighting for what is right. For example, the
lgbtq community. The lgbtq community is not being supported by plentiful people.
I believe this is wrong due to the fact everyone should be treated equally and fairly.
Not many people are stepping up and doing what is right. I imagine that if everyone
did what was right, everyone would benefit. Furthermore, everyone would benefit as

The scales show that they re should be some sort of balance that respects both sides
and treats them as equals. I chose to put a chalice and bread into my poster on behalf
of it represents the satisfaction that comes from the relationship with God. I realize
this was important to put into my poster since the beatitude, I chose, describes people
s need for God and the knowledge that they can only live satisfying lives if they are
in union with God. The bread and chalice are just a microscopic portion of the
satisfaction that you will grab from being in union with God. People need God to
guide them into true happiness and satisfaction. God shows us that true happiness
does not come from taking the easy road. God shows us real happiness comes from
meeting challenges and overcoming them. The beatitudes direct us along paths where
we would not usually find happiness. The heart represents the reason of the
beatitude. The compassion and love you earn from helping others. This is another
reason why I chose this beatitude honestly, you understand people and their strengths
and weaknesses. I chose to put hands shaking as a sign of respect. To be equal you
must treat others as equals as you would want to be treated. For example the saying

The Mystery Of Mystery By Agatha Christie
INTRODUCTION And Then There Were None, written by Agatha Christie in
1939, remains one of the best mystery novels ever created to this day. During her
time, mystery was an established genre for novels. Famous mystery writers like
Edgar Allan Poe and Arthur Conan Doyle developed the mystery genre by
following the rules when writing their stories. In a typical mystery novel, the story
would be told by a detective. The story would then go on as the detective tries to
solve the case. More clues would be found and it would get clearer as the story gets
further. At the end, we would know who the culprit was and every mysterious
event that took place in the story would be explained. These novels give the
readers a chance to solve the case. Despite the mystery genre having some certain
rules by it, Christie broke some of these rules when writing some of her books. I
want to investigate specifically the ways in which Christie wrote this book
differently and to explore how and why she broke the rules of the detective genre.
Christie developed And Then There Were None without having a detective solving
the case. In the end, the law never has the chance to get their hands on the murderer.
The way Christie constructs the plot also makes it impossible for the readers to
guess who the murderer was, especially from ten characters that have each of their
own motives to kill the other nine. Although rules were broken, And Then There
Were None became one of the most critically acclaimed

London was placed on the shortlist for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics host city

So therefore where the media exposes the benefits of hosting the games such as

The sporting legacy of the 2012 Olympics was always at the forefront of government
attention. The bid for the games featured the slogan Inspire a Generation with the
reason behind the slogan being to trigger involvement of young people in sports and
taking up new activities (Magnay 2012). There are two programmes introduced to
encourage community sports; Places People Play and a Join in program.
Places People Play is a joint partnership initiative between Sport England and the
British Olympic Association with the aim of making the benefits of London 2012
visible in cities, towns and villages across the country (SportEngland.org 2012). The
goals involve the protection and improvement of hundreds of playing fields across the
country, modernising and extending club facilities and Sports Makers training,
providing free business skills, training and support to those doing the day to day
running of community sports (Sports England 2012).
The Similarities Between Sierra Leone And Mendes Culture
Sierra Leone is an African country where historically, multiple cultures have
survived. Since the feudal and monarchal systems arrived in the region dating back
to the 15th century, the Temne and Mendes cultures flourished (Coleman, 2014). The
Mendes culture was entangled with many beliefs and discoveries. The culture was
complex and known for medicines, ancestral worship, a belief in God, masked spirit
manifestations and secret societies (Coleman, 2014). The Temne culture is known for
the agriculture of rice and a system of laws (Coleman, 2014). In the 1787, the British
established itself in West Africa. Sierra Leone was able to endure the British influence
better than its region counterparts, because from 1825 to 1896 adopted the Temne
political system with the purpose of indirect rule (Coleman, 2014). In 1961, Sierra

The Event as Theater
The Laramie Project is, in fact, a theater according to our formal class definition.
The play was in fact scripted, not made up on the spot. I witnessed the play live
because there was an exchange between the actors and the audience. Also, the
actors impersonated characters or people from Laramie and the Laramie Project.
An example of impersonation in The Laramie Project would be Doc O Connor,
who was the limo driver who drive Matt to gay bars. Doc introduced who he was to
the audience and shared the first interaction between Matt and him, describing his
small stature and first impression. The audience was fully aware who each person
was during the play. In addition, theatre is an art form. The play is also work
because it already has a determined outcome. All in all, The Laramie Project requires
performance which is executed because the actors performing take on the activity of

Data Security Cloud Computing Using Rsa Algorithm
Data Security in Cloud Computing using RSA Algorithm Abstract: In cloud
computing, data security is the major issue. Security in single cloud is less popular
than in multicloud due to its ability to reduce security risks. In this paper, we
describe a new architecture for security of data storage in multicloud. We use two
mechanisms data encryption and file splitting. When user upload a file ,it is
encrypted using AES encryption algorithm. Then that encrypted file is divided into
equal parts according to the number of clouds and stored into multicloud. This
proposed system enhances the data security in multicloud. Introduction: Cloud
computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on demand network access
to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage,
applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal
management effort or service provider interaction.[1] Cloud Computing appears as a
computational paradigm as well as a distribution architecture and its main objective is
to provide secure, quick, convenient data storage and net computing service, with all
computing resources visualized as services and delivered over the Internet [2,3]. The
cloud enhances collaboration, agility, scalability, availability, ability to adapt to
fluctuations according to demand, accelerate development work, and provides
potential for cost reduction through optimized and efficient computing [4].As the data

need a governing body. In the case of a company, this is its board of directors.
Corporate entities governed by a board of directors face the central challenge of
the agency issue. Whenever a principal has to rely on agents to handle his or her
business, governance issues arise. (Tricker 2012) Presently, corporate governance
is an evolving concept as such there is no fixed definition. However, corporate
governance has been defined as, the system by which companies are directed and
controlled. (The Report of the Cadbury Committee on The Financial Aspects of
Corporate Governance: The Code of Best Practice 1993) Recent high profile
corporate failures, scandals and, in some cases, executive corruption, have focused
international regulatory and public attention on the need for having appropriate
corporate governance standards and practices. (Leblanc 2005) As such, much
emphasis is being placed on board evaluation. The principles based model of
corporate governance is applied in Commonwealth countries. Under this model
companies are required to report that they have followed the governance principles
laid down in the codes or to explain why they have not. (Tricker 2012) Guyana being
a Commonwealth country is subject to this self regulatory framework of corporate
governance. This paper used the

Christian funeral services serve the same purpose: to pray for the soul of the
deceased, as well as to offer comfort and support to the bereaved.
The typical Christian funeral includes:
An opening statement lead by the priest or minister. Depending on the religion it may
be either a prayer, a statement that shows support to the bereaved, or a combination of
both.
Prayers and hymns are read and sung throughout the funeral. Guests are often
encouraged to read or sing along at appropriate times.
Scripture readings are a common part of most services. Similar to prayer and hymns,

Zoological Park or more commonly called zoo is what you call a place wherein
animals are held captive and are on display for people to observe. Zoos are also
called as menageries in some places. Menageries are exhibits of animals, especially
wild animals, in enclosures. During the ancient times, explorers, aristocrats and
noblemen showcase their power, wealth and expeditions through menageries.
Explorers bring back unfamiliar species of animals from their expedition. Ancient
petroglyphs show evidences that zooowners hired care takers for the animals in

Denotatively, A Tumor Suppressor Gene
Denotatively, a tumor suppressor gene is, a gene whose partial or complete
inactivation, occurring in either the germ line or the genome of a somatic cell,
leads to an increased likelihood of cancer development. Somatic cells, or cells of
the body, are produced by cell division, making identical copies of the cells as they
divide. To reproduce, a parent cell must execute an orderly sequence of reactions,
through which it duplicates its contents and divides in two. This critical process of
duplication and division, known as the cell cycle, is complex and carefully
controlled3. Defects in any of the proteins involved can be devastating to the cell....

Under normal conditions, cells balance division and apoptosis, and these processes
are accomplished and preserved by several biochemical checkpoints during the cell
cycle2. When these checkpoints are affected, uncontrolled cellular proliferation and
cancer can result. Two general classes of cancer genes are oncogenes and tumor
suppressor genes. Oncogenes facilitate tumor formation by directly accelerating cell
division, whereas tumor suppressor genes, when affected, allow uncontrolled growth
that was normally suppressed2. Tumor suppressor gene loss usually affects a cell s
phenotype when both copies of the gene are lost, so null alleles can be present in a
heterozygous state in cells without affecting cell and tissue phenotype. The loss of
these genes can occur through genetic mutation or the epigenetic silencing of genes

The Impact of Women Redefining Sexual Identity in Middle Adulthood
It is becoming an increasing phenomenon that women are coming out as lesbians in
their middle adulthood. While defining one s sexual identity is often a confusing
time for youth it becomes that much more difficult for women as they get older. As
women age they are more likely to get married, have children, begin careers, and
settle into a lifestyle that is dictated to them by patriarchal rules.
The further they become saturated with the male dominated life, the harder it is for
women to become open to their own identity formation and needs. It is instilled in

Because the coming out process is often a lengthy process, the identity formation stage
is prolonged from adolescence and young adulthood. Sexual identity occurs through
dynamics of social interaction and can change at any stage of the life cycle. Since
most social interaction occurs following a male to female model, engaging in a
p. 3 first sexual experience or even recognizing an interest in the opposite sex may
take a number of years (Richardson amp; Hurt 1981 as cited in Rust, p. 50). This
is in fact true, if you think about it. Little girls are bought dolls and tea sets and
easy bake ovens so that they can imitate their mothers behavior. Little girls learn to
cook and clean and are told early on that one day they will marry a handsome man
and have lots of babies. We are taught gender specific roles from the day we are born.
Women don t usually have same sex experiences until they are twenty three or
twenty four and women are pushed to marry by the time they are twenty or twenty
one. If a woman marries at that age it decreases the chance of completion of
identifying sexually as a lesbian (Swan, 1997).

Containerisation
What is containerization and how did the innovative use of containers transform the
distribution of goods? Containerisation is a method of distributing merchandise in a
unitised form suitable for transportation by rail, road, air, canal and sea. (Branch,
1996, p.194). The simple principle of the container has undoubtedly made the global
economy grow, and brought the world closer together through ease of transportation
(Wetherly Otter, 2008, p.86 7). To be able to use one single sized unit for the
transportation of goods was the ultimate solution to transporting cargo, which was
becoming larger part of global trade, and helped put shipping into the modern age. In
1956, Malcolm McLean used an innovative idea to transport 58 trailer... Show more

This reduces the need for warehouse space, decreases the risk of obsolescence and
improves stock control (Hann, 2010). Faster transportation has transformed the
distribution of goods in allowing a greater selection of cargo to travel further than
it was previously capable of. So what about the costs? The container made shipping
cheap (Levinson, 2006, p.10). Just after McLean s idea, it was thought that the
costs of shipping were 11 percent of the value of United States exports, and could
be as high as twenty five percent. By contrast, shipping costs in comparison to
product price have fallen sharply. (Asteris, 2009). It is not just the use of containers
and ships that is responsible for the transportation costs, the larger normal routes, the
increasing competition between the major container ship operators, such as Maesrk
and Evergreen, the investment in modernising crane handling equipment and the
logistics, have all had an impact. Before containerisation, businesses thought of
distribution as a series of processes, ships, trucks and trains. Somebody had to
move every box and pallet, and could easily consume half the cost of shipping.
Levinson (2006) described this as breaking bulk . With goods waiting in warehouses
ready to be moved onto the next stage, transferring and delays made shipments slow
and the delivery times erratic. The introduction of containers meant that for the first
time, cargo could be locked away when in storage. Whiskey was

Hillbilly Research Paper
Music is an expressive language of culture which tells a story, reveal ideas, offers
various opinions and share emotions of life s experiences. Music is a unique
identity of a particular culture. Different cultures have different ranges of music.
Music creates and shapes culture and it is true for vice versa. There is a circular
relationship. In the South, it is treated as a heritage and has a great history of
evolving on a large platform. Musicties generations together. Hillbilly music and
Bluesmusic were the lifelines of people in the South. This music reflects the
American Culture of patriotism and era of World War II. There is a great story
related to hillbilly music s history, image and popularity.
Back in the 20th century, hillbilly music had a great link to history, its image that
how it was seen by different people and eventually the evolvement. During the 1920s
through World War II, hillbilly music showed its first appearance. The name Hillbilly
was selected doubtfully. Both a fabrication of music industry producers and
promoters and an outgrowth of a tradition of farcical performances by folk musicians,

Hillbilly music is an American popular music that was commercially broadcast and
recorded between 1922 and 1942 and that eventually evolved into modern country
music and the regional genres of western swing, honky tonk, and bluegrass ( Huber
19). Southern textile workers played a significant role in the evolution of this genre
of America s popular music. Examining the vital role of Piedmont textile workers in
the creation of hillbilly music offers new understanding of this music. Writers have
long portrayed hillbilly musicians as tradition bound rural southerners who came of
age in the country side and mountain hollows, often isolated from or less influenced
by the main currents of modern urban life and mass culture. People were so use to
this music that they remembered this music by

It is not our goal to trade members neither with other churches nor to increase our
membership by reaching disgruntled members of other churches. Our vision is to
reach young people who may not have a church background, teach and train them,
equip them, and qualify them to go out and win souls. We believe that by doing this,
we will build a strong army who can take our community, state, and the world for
Christ. We want to reach young people ages 10 18 in our community. According to
Warren, If you want to build a healthy, strong, and growing church you must spend
time laying a solid foundation.
Values
Our values are Righteous living, as exemplified by a lifestyle congruent with biblical
and moral guidelines, spiritual enrichment, as exemplified through our School of
Ministry, fortifying the family, as exemplified by marriage, single, and youth
ministries, economic support, as exemplified by our contributions through tithe,
offerings, and time, and alliance of believers, as exemplified through prayer, worship,
and servitude.
Within these values, there is the element of youth ministries. Several key verses are
the basis of this plan. Ecclesiastes 12:1 says that children that are
Diagnostic Personal Statement
My ambition is to follow a course which combines my two favorite subjects
Biology and Physics. I have always been attracted to the medical field because it
combines human compassion with knowledge and technology. I am interested in
sonography because it allows me to have a direct involvement with patients and it is
an ever evolving field that promises to continue to grow and expand. This allows me
to achieve my career goal in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
Throughout my life, I have been a keen researcher. My passion in speaking began
at high school, where I took part in many inter state debate competitions. I was
introduced to the field of diagnostic, as coming from the hypertensive history
family, I always try to get some knowledge out of the reports and images; which
sparked my interest in echocardiography. The idea of diagnostic imaging is amazing
because it gives a physician a different perspective on the human body. I am
fascinated by the technologies used to produce these images, but I must integrate my
broad clinical knowledge to transform images into a diagnose. ... Show more content

Becoming a phlebotomist after completing my high school was the first step I took to
jump in the healthcare field. Although, I practiced phlebotomy for a very short period
of time as I moved to the United States with my family after two months of
completion of my phlebotomy certification. During my work experience as a
Phlebotomist, I learned how to communicate with patients showing them empathy
and generosity. During this time, I felt I improved my team working and
communication skills. Furthermore, I grew in confidence and self belief as I found
that I had good positive communication skills that helped patients in drawing out

The Awakening In The Victorian Era
Kate Chopin was a writer from 1890 up to the time of her death in 1904. She
became a writer after he husband s death in 1882. She wrote The Awakening in the
Victorian Era, in 1898. During the Victorian Era time period there were a lot of
social and culture issues happening along with historical issues. Social and cultural
issues which included gender issues and class issues. Historical events such as
wars and other authors also could have influenced Kate Chopin s writing. In the
Victorian time period there was not only Kate Chopin s The Awakening being
published, there were also historical events such as Wars. During that time there
was the Spanish American War that could influenced her writing. The Spanish
American war started when Spain sunk Battleship Maine off the coast of Cuba
(Spanish American War). It was also the fight for independence in Spain. There
was also the Philippine American war happening as well. The Philippine American
War was after the Spanish American. In the Philippine American War about
200,000 civilians died from disease or violence (Welch Jr). The wars could have
influenced her writing because since her book was about her wanting personal
freedom in her marriage so she could of wrote the book out of envy. She could have
been envious of the women that their husbands were off fighting in the war and that
they had personal freedom she did not. She also wrote about scandalous acts. During
the Victorian time period some social issues were going on
Cobalt Calorimetry Lab Report
When this experiment is finished, we will have found the concentration of the cobalt
(II) nitrate solution. Using a variety of mathematical equations and making many
calculations, we will precisely plot the cobalt concentrations on multiple graphs with
a calorimetry device. We will utilize Beer s law and a calorimetry device to measure
the molarity/concentrationof the cobalt (II) solution using light. The primary use of
this calorimetry device is to find transmittance (T) and absorption (A), which
according to Beers law, is directly connected to molarity.
The concentration of the unknown solution of Co(NO3)2 can be found with the
equation of a graphed best fit line that should represent A = ebc. We will use exact
and accurate measurements ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To do so, we used the cuvette 0, also known as the blank, and the cuvette 5, the pure
substance. We calibrated our spectrophotometer by setting the О» (wavelength) to
383 nm and then placing the blank in. Afterwards, we set the transmittance to 100%.
Then, we removed the blank cuvette and placed the cuvette 5 in. After recording the
%T and absorbance, we repeated the process but with a different wavelength. We
repeated with wavelengths ranging from 383 to 700, recording the %T and
absorbance each time.
Subsequently, we used .737 nm, the wavelength with the greatest absorbance, and
recalibrated the spectrophotometer at the analytical wavelength. Then, we measured
the transmittance and disposed of cuvette 5. We prepared four other diluted
solutions of Co(NO3)2 and H2O, measuring the volume of each in Ml. We
recorded the mL of Co(NO3)2 and the mL of H2O, calculating a molarity of the
dilute that we also recorded. Finally, we used Beer s Law to find the concentration of
an unknown solution involving Co(NO3)2 from %T and

Crafting an essay that addresses the ethical, moral, legal, and medical aspects while remaining impartial requires a thorough understanding of the subject matter. One of the challenges lies in conducting extensive research to gather relevant and up-to-date information. Abortion involves multifaceted issues, ranging from women's reproductive rights to societal values, religious beliefs, and scientific considerations. Staying informed about various viewpoints is essential for constructing a well-rounded argument. Expressing empathy and respect for diverse opinions is crucial when dealing with such a polarizing topic. Striking a balance between advocating for one's position and acknowledging opposing views without dismissing them outright is a delicate task. Finding common ground or identifying areas of compromise can contribute to a more nuanced and compelling essay. The emotional nature of the abortion debate adds another layer of difficulty. • 2. Compare And Contrast Medusa s Head And The Clash Of Titans... Medusa s Head and the Clash of Titans are short mythical stories that portray the ancient legend of Perseus heroic journey. Both versions contain ancient gods, goddesses, demigods, complicated trials, and terrifying monsters/creatures that are encountered along Perseus s quest. There are many similarities between the book version to that of the movie version. However, the director makes many plot changes in the movie to balance out the sequence of events and vary the emotional and physical activities throughout Perseuss story. One of the major differences the director makes in the movie (dramatically differentiates it from the book) is the reason why Perseus goes on a mission. In the book, King Polydectes sets up a plan to get rid of Perseus by daring him a difficult task, to kill Medusa and bring back her head. Perseus is challenged to a tough venture and proves his braveness by taking on the bet. By killing the beast, Perseus provides a gesture of gratitude towards Polydectes because he has nothing else offer him since he is a servant. However, in the movie, Perseus must battle both Medusa and the Kraken in order to save Princess Andromeda and prevent her from being sacrificed. The director made this a great change in the movie because it portrays Perseus as a better classical, archetypal hero. Not only does it enhance Perseus s heroic qualities, but it also demonstrates his maturity and humility, he is one of a kind. In the Clash of Clans, Perseus realizes he must

  • 4. Biofuels As A Fuel Source Biofuels as a Fuel Source: Paper 3 In a time of energy crisis and a subsequent search for a renewable replacement for crude oil, biofuels have arisen as a source of hope. Currently, the largest source of biofuels in the United States is corn based ethanol. The large scale of corn ethanol production and the potential promise of finding a domestic, reliable source of energy, requires the fuel s viability as a replacement for crude oil to be evaluated. However, there is debate surrounding corn based ethanol s environmental, economic, and social impacts. The scientists and governments who support the development of biofuels claim that it will not only provide a new and sustainable source of energy but also that it will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and is therefore better for the environment. However, although corn based ethanol continues to harbor support from the United States government, environmentalists argue that ethanol is not substantially better for the environment, especially when the effects of its production are taken into account. Also, while some larger farms profit from ethanol production, it places economic stress upon smaller farms and the agricultural industry and leads to higher food prices that are a great detriment to those living at the level of subsistence. Therefore, in order to produce energy efficient, environmentally friendly fuel, the United States must work towards developing cellulosic biofuels and those produced by microbes as they have
  • 5. Portrayal Of Women In Hamlet Women are truly the backbones of society. They continue to bloom and flourish, helping to further grow and expand communities and the world, but are often cast to the shadows because of stereotypes placed on them dating from centuries ago. It is no secret that Shakespearean plays set basis for these stereotypes, but because of the world views on women s rights in Shakespeare s time, his female characters were allowed to break free from the confines of society. In Shakespeare s most famous play, Hamlet, the two leading ladies, Ophelia and Gertrude, break free from the standard by showcasing various acts of defiance, choosing their own paths and _______________________________. Shakespearean plays often portray women as fragile, negligible and untrustworthy people. Because of the dynamics of Hamlet, the women in the play closely fit the accepted stereotype but, prove to be the strongest characters written in this tragic tragedy by defying the restrictions placed upon them. Although it may not be clear to the naked eye, the women in Hamlet display certain acts of disobedience through small deeds. Ophelia, Hamlet s love interest in the play, showcases her lack of obedience and wit through two separate scenes. She first portrays these rebellious characteristics when she first tells her father of the relationship she has with Hamlet. Many people would argue that this does not show any of Ophelia s stray from the norm and some may argue that this scene would more portray a father
  • 6. Interview Questions On Counseling And Counseling I was able to interview four people about their perceptions and beliefs about counseling. I noted differences and similarities among their responses which bring about a clearer perspective on the reality of counseling as a profession. The family and friends I choose to interview about their perspective on counselingincluded my mom Cathy, my brother Ben and my friend Mackenzie. I interviewed a counselor named Chris who is a youth leader at my church. Chris works at Penn State Hershey Medical Center Psychiatry Unit with adults doing individual, couple and family counseling. The responses given through these interviews allowed for a broader and clearer view of the perception and reality of counseling. The first question posed to the interviewees was what happens in a typical counseling session. My mom, Cathy stated she thoughtthe counselor asks questions to the client and listens. She went on to explain the counselor is trying to get to the root of the problem. The process of counseling is done through the lens of empathy according to Cathy. Mackenzie states the counseling begins by the counselor asking the new client questions about him or herself. The counselor is trying to figure out what brought the client into counseling and discuss what goals can be achieved. Ben thought counseling session starts with the client telling the counselor how they are feeling. The counselor is able to move the client past the surface and move to the issues that lie beneath the surface

  • 10. How Globalization Affects My Country I will graduate this spring, after three years at Union College, and I am looking forward to extending and developing my academic interests in international economics, which is the area of specialty I have concentrated on, in my coursework and research during my undergraduate study. With the experience of growing up in China, I want to explore more about how globalization affects my country. I am currently working on my economicssenior thesis using a macroeconometric model of the Chinese economy to examine how increasing consumption, as a ratio of GDP (C/Y), increases China s real GDP in a series of short run steps spread over a number of years. In particular, I am interested in extending my senior thesis to investigate the possibility of duplicating China s rapid economic growth in other developing countries, especially in East Asian. My interest in International Economics, led me to apply to the Seward Fellows program an honors program at Union College and as part of that program I designed an independent theme minor to analyze China s trade. Since I applied to graduate one year early when I was a sophomore, I chose to compress my two term Seward project in six weeks in the summer of second year. My Seward project was to investigate the behaviors of the yuan USD exchange rate in the past ten years. After evaluating the growth rate of the ratio of China s foreign reserves over imports from 2005 to 2014, I noticed that the year of 2009 was a turning point; before
  • 11. The Importance of Harry Hoveden in Making History Essay The Importance of Harry Hoveden in Making History In making history, Brian Friel uses Hugh O Neill to define the characters in the play, and the way in which his actions affect them gives the audience some characteristics to decide on the personality of particular characters. Harry Hoveden is obviously an important character in the play because he plays a major part in the play, and appears in most of the major scenes. It is also clear that he is important to O Neill because he is often the one person he turns to in times of crisis. Harry is presented as a very loyal and sober character by, he serves to balance out some of the other characters almost like a buffer. His calm nature in times of distress or excitement ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This calming and soothing effect also reflects on the audience because if he was not included, the play would be a lot more negative and the audience would be more likely to feel insecure about the flow of the play. His character contrasts so much with most of the other characters that it adds diversity to making history. It makes some scenes more interesting because of the presence of this calm and obviously intelligent character and his political soundness can mock characters like O Donnell. When compared to characters like O Donnell Harry is a very likeable character and appears as someone to be trusted and relied upon. Brian Friel also uses him and his overwhelming loyalty towards O Neill to show a weakness in O Neill s character. O Neill uses Harry to portray certain characters via contrast and particularly O Neill by the way he treats Harry. It often appears that O Neill takes Harry for granted showing another side to his character that can be thought of as weakness. Also the fact that whenever O Neill puts Harry down he regrets it almost immediately shows that O Neill is insecure and sometimes does not think before he speaks, so Brian Friel uses Harry to show a very important side to O Neill that could have affected his judgment during the wars he fought and led. Harry is also an expositional character, and Brian uses him to expose different
  • 12. 15 Layer Lasagnes At The Spaghetti Warehouse The Spaghetti Warehouse, an italian restaurant in downtown Toledo, is most well known for their sourdough bread, rich garlic butter and nostalgic decor. Olive Garden, another italian eatery, is known for their endless soup, salad, and delectable breadsticks. However, these two diners have more in common than simply italian cuisine. The two places almost have identical menus and prices. So, how does one decide which place to have a bite to eat? Although reading reviews of the two on Eat.com is simple, one must take into account the following criteria to truly make the right decision. First, the guest must consider the diversity of the menu. Although the two diners have quite similar menus, Olive Garden offers many more seafood and gluten free ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There s a fine line between an obnoxious, superfluous server, and a thoughtful, attentive one. Furthermore, a dining experience shouldn t be impersonal or terribly intimate. The Spaghetti Warehouse offers a haimish environment that is good for large parties and small dinners out. The unique restaurant features a train car running through the middle of the dining room where guests can eat their food. The Spaghetti Warehouse also features two unique party rooms upstairs, and an entire downstairs area fit for parties and live music. The eatery is equipped with the latest technology but uses it wisely and in good taste. Olive Garden s environment is family friendly, however, the visit can easily become boring and impersonal. When the guest is seated at their table, they are given the option to use a small computer sitting on their table. This small computer enables the guest to order all of their food without even making contact with the server. This misuse of technology can easily make the dining experience flop, and quickly puts Olive Garden in second place for good, humble
  • 13. Symbolism Of The Birthday Party The Birthday Party hat is a symbol known to many. It represents what is most likely the most celebrated event in all of mankind, the Birthday. The Birthday Party hat is the perfect symbol for the Birthday Party, not only because it is what comes to mind when a Birthday is thought of, but because it is also filled with with colors that might remind you of your birthday party experiences. The mascot is supposed to represent the birthdays of the voters, because the birthday party cares about you, and wants to make America a better place for everyone. Opponents might think that the party mascot represents the birthday party as well. Because there s not much debate on what a birthday party hat means. It s the universal sign of a birthday, along with cake and presents, although presets could also represent Christmas. Opponents could also say the hat represents the birthday wish that someday, someone from this party will become president, although they most likely will not believe in birthday wishes, therefore insulting the Birthday Party in a very underhanded way. They might also say that the birthday party mascot means nothing at all, that it s just a stupid symbol for a stupid party. Education is a important thing in the lives of all children, so that they may grow up to lead good jobs, and make enough money to support themselves and their family. This is why Education is so important to Birthday Parties, this is why we believe that all children should have well funded schools to be educated in, so that students will be able to do things in school that rewire a higher budget, like have computers for every student, or expanding or renovating old school grounds. Since education is so important to the lives of children, our party believes that the government should not change the laws around mandatory school attendance. This is because education is very important to children; But if children are not getting educated because they didn t have to go to school because it they didn t want to, then how will they fair later in life? Where people are only really willing to hire people with High School education levels, but since these children did not get the education that was provided, then they might have to get jobs
  • 14. Crime Affects Crime My research question is How does committing crimes affect a person s physical health and do different crimes affect physical health more or less? It is important to the criminal justice system to determine how much crime actually affects the health of an offender. Assuming that committing crimes causes stress to the individual, stress can show negative side effects on the human body that can be physical or mental. By identifying any health problems created by committing crimes, one could potentially deter potential criminals. In the criminal justicesystem in the United States, there currently is not much deterrence for criminals in regards to punishment. There is the potential to use the risk of them affecting their health as a deterrent. It is also important to look at how different crimes affect the physical health of an offender. For instance, a small crimesuch as shoplifting may not cause as much stress as robbery. Looking into the potential for higher stress levels in certain crimes could lead to offenders avoiding those crimes. If criminals stop committing the higher stress crimes, it can help law enforcement and citizens focus on stopping the lesser crimes. Although I could not find an article or experiment related to crime causing stress, I found the opposite. Strain theory attempts to explain that stress causes crime. Agnew s general strain theory is considered to be one of the most accurate theories in explaining crime. He argued that the stresses from the
  • 15. The Cask Of Amontillado Verbal Irony Essay Poe also craftily includes verbal irony in his writings to enhance and amplify the style of suspense and overall, apprehension. An exquisite paragon of this stylistic technique is Poe s short story, The Cask of Amontillado. In said story, the main character, known as Montresor, cleverly plots to murder his egregious foe, Fortunato, by entrapping and then, abandoning him in Montresor s catacomb underneath his home. To avert any witnesses, Montresor tricks his stewards into vacating his palazzo: there were no attendants at home; they had absconded to make merry in honour of [a festival]. I had told them, that I should not return until morning and had given them explicit orders not to stir from the house. These orders were sufficient, I well knew, to insure their immediate disappearance, one and all, as soon as my back was turned, (24).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Yet, in this scenario, the opposite is demonstrated; Montresor, the master of the home, had delivered an order, which he had expected and wished that his servants would disregard. Whereas in most cases, masters would fire disobedient servants, Montresor had instead exploited the servants lack of loyalty to assure their desertion when he planned to murder Fortunato. Besides the touch of humor this verbal irony invents, it also adds mysteriousness to the story, allowing the readers themselves to experience fear, angst, and anxiety at the thought of how cunningly composed and devised Montresor s heinous plans are. Thus, the style of the story becomes suspenseful and
  • 16. Spanish Influence Over Mexico Spanish Influence over Mexico Jillian Mudd Patrick O Neill Emily Brant History Hernan Cortez arrived in Veracruz in April of 1519 with the goal of finding New Spain. When Cortez found the Aztecs, his goal switched to defeating the Aztec Nation and stealing all of their gold. Moctezuma II believed that Cortez and his men were the light skinned messengers of one of their gods. Moctezuma was captured and eventually died as a hostage while his empire tried to overtake the Spanish. (interKnowledge Corp., 2015) Cortez and his men got away. Four more months of war were still to come before the Aztec capital, TenochtitlГЎn, fell to the conquistadors. The Aztecs had no gold, but what they did have was corn and beans. The Spanish took all of the food and enslaved most of the native people. Cortez and his men burned all of the religious temples of the Aztec and forcibly converted them to Christianity. The way that they converted them to Christianity was through Catholic Priests learning the local language and converting the locals, and then teaching them Spanish. At almost the same time the Spanish were able to wipe out the Aztec religion and their language. (Schmal, 2015) Many of the native population of Mexico who were now slaves had passed away from fighting or from the diseases like smallpox that were brought over from Spain. While the amount of natives dwindled, the Spanish population grew. (Mexperience Ltd., 2015) Since many of the Spanish that came over

  • 19. Symptoms And Treatment Of Morgellons Syndrome Essay Morgellons Syndrome, as identified by the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, is an unexplained constellation of symptoms . Symptoms include non healing skin lesions, emergence of fibres and solid material from the skin and disturbing sensations on the skin, including the feeling of being bitten, pricked by pins and a stinging sensation. These symptoms are chronic. (Pearson, Selby, Katz, Cantrell, Braden, Parise, Paddock, Lewin Smith, Kalasinsky, Goldstein, Hightower, Papier, Lewis, Motipara, Eberhard, 2012. p.1 2.). However, despite sufferers of Morgellons Syndrome reporting these phenomena, the condition is not currently recognised by medical science and is believed to be delusional parasitosis, a condition where patients falsely believe their body is infested with bugs (Koblenzer, 2006. p. 920). Morgellons sufferers who use the online forum www.mdjunction.com don t believe this diagnosis is justified and regularly express stress and isolation due to the medical community s lack of belief in their suffering. Some sufferers turn to this forum to ask for help, some offer explanations and hope to newcomers and others come to vent their emotional frustration for not being believed their disease is real both by doctors and by those closest to them. Anyone can join the forum and access is free. It is also a safe space for sufferers to let off steam and the overwhelming amount of comments I read in response to blog posts were supportive. Sekhar in Like the Sun and Charles in A Visit to Grandmother found this out when the truth was brought to the surface. Once a year, Sekhar experiments with the truthfor an entire day; he says that he will tellthe truth no matter the cost. In a similar way, Charles believes a liehis entire life, and is unable to believe the truth when he discovers it. The authors R.K. Sekhar s experiment of telling the truth keeps him honest 100% for one day out of the year. With the use of foreshadowing, the audience can tell that Sekhar s report about the headmaster s music is not going to be fun to hear when he says Can t I give it tomorrow, sir? (Narayan 193). Demanding the answer immediately, the headmaster receives a brutally honest report on how the quality of his music is not as superior as he thought it was. Comparably, foreshadowing tells us how Charles has something against his mother. When Charles bends to kiss his mother as they walk in the house, Chig, his son, says that ... something new and almost ugly had come into his eyes: fear, uncertainty, sadness, and perhaps even hatred. His mother is taken aback when she hears why he left; Charles learned to live with the lie that his mother did not love him while he was growing up, or anytime thereafter. With the use of foreshadowing, the readers can predict that the truth will be hard to take for both the headmaster in Like the Sun and Charles in A Visit to

In Euripides Medea, Medea commits filicide along with murder of a princess. Medea was married to a man named Jason who divorced her and married the princess, Glauce. Medea was so upset by this that she killed his new wife and her and Jasons children. When Medeas quest for revenge leads her to slaughter innocent beings, and some call her justified, but there are many reasons why this is not the case. Those who believe Medea was just in her murders agree that Medea was betrayed by Jason in his breaking of marriage oaths, and in order to bring justice, feels the need to bring suffering to him. Kim Zarins refers to Medea as ВЁa victim of Jason s false loveВЁ (Zarins 2) Medea loved him so passionately and then hated him so much that she was unaware of except her desire for vengeance. • 24. The Mystery Of Mystery By Agatha Christie INTRODUCTION And Then There Were None, written by Agatha Christie in 1939, remains one of the best mystery novels ever created to this day. During her time, mystery was an established genre for novels. Famous mystery writers like Edgar Allan Poe and Arthur Conan Doyle developed the mystery genre by following the rules when writing their stories. In a typical mystery novel, the story would be told by a detective. The story would then go on as the detective tries to solve the case. More clues would be found and it would get clearer as the story gets further. At the end, we would know who the culprit was and every mysterious event that took place in the story would be explained. These novels give the readers a chance to solve the case. Despite the mystery genre having some certain rules by it, Christie broke some of these rules when writing some of her books. I want to investigate specifically the ways in which Christie wrote this book differently and to explore how and why she broke the rules of the detective genre. Christie developed And Then There Were None without having a detective solving the case. In the end, the law never has the chance to get their hands on the murderer. The way Christie constructs the plot also makes it impossible for the readers to guess who the murderer was, especially from ten characters that have each of their own motives to kill the other nine. Although rules were broken, And Then There Were None became one of the most critically acclaimed

Security in single cloud is less popular than in multicloud due to its ability to reduce security risks. In this paper, we describe a new architecture for security of data storage in multicloud. We use two mechanisms data encryption and file splitting. When user upload a file ,it is encrypted using AES encryption algorithm. Then that encrypted file is divided into equal parts according to the number of clouds and stored into multicloud. This proposed system enhances the data security in multicloud. Introduction: Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction.[1] Cloud Computing appears as a computational paradigm as well as a distribution architecture and its main objective is to provide secure, quick, convenient data storage and net computing service, with all computing resources visualized as services and delivered over the Internet [2,3]. The cloud enhances collaboration, agility, scalability, availability, ability to adapt to fluctuations according to demand, accelerate development work, and provides potential for cost reduction through optimized and efficient computing [4].As the data

In the case of a company, this is its board of directors. Corporate entities governed by a board of directors face the central challenge of the agency issue. Whenever a principal has to rely on agents to handle his or her business, governance issues arise. However, corporate governance has been defined as, the system by which companies are directed and controlled. (The Report of the Cadbury Committee on The Financial Aspects of Corporate Governance: The Code of Best Practice 1993) Recent high profile corporate failures, scandals and, in some cases, executive corruption, have focused international regulatory and public attention on the need for having appropriate corporate governance standards and practices. (Leblanc 2005) As such, much emphasis is being placed on board evaluation. The principles based model of corporate governance is applied in Commonwealth countries. Under this model companies are required to report that they have followed the governance principles laid down in the codes or to explain why they have not. Denotatively, A Tumor Suppressor Gene Denotatively, a tumor suppressor gene is, a gene whose partial or complete inactivation, occurring in either the germ line or the genome of a somatic cell, leads to an increased likelihood of cancer development. Somatic cells, or cells of the body, are produced by cell division, making identical copies of the cells as they divide. To reproduce, a parent cell must execute an orderly sequence of reactions, through which it duplicates its contents and divides in two. This critical process of duplication and division, known as the cell cycle, is complex and carefully controlled3. Defects in any of the proteins involved can be devastating to the cell.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Under normal conditions, cells balance division and apoptosis, and these processes are accomplished and preserved by several biochemical checkpoints during the cell cycle2. When these checkpoints are affected, uncontrolled cellular proliferation and cancer can result. Two general classes of cancer genes are oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. Oncogenes facilitate tumor formation by directly accelerating cell division, whereas tumor suppressor genes, when affected, allow uncontrolled growth that was normally suppressed2. Tumor suppressor gene loss usually affects a cell s phenotype when both copies of the gene are lost, so null alleles can be present in a heterozygous state in cells without affecting cell and tissue phenotype. The loss of these genes can occur through genetic mutation or the epigenetic silencing of genes via promoter

Containerisation is a method of distributing merchandise in a unitised form suitable for transportation by rail, road, air, canal and sea. (Branch, 1996, p.194). The simple principle of the container has undoubtedly made the global economy grow, and brought the world closer together through ease of transportation (Wetherly Otter, 2008, p.86 7). This reduces the need for warehouse space, decreases the risk of obsolescence and improves stock control (Hann, 2010). Faster transportation has transformed the distribution of goods in allowing a greater selection of cargo to travel further than it was previously capable of. So what about the costs? The container made shipping cheap (Levinson, 2006, p.10). Just after McLean s idea, it was thought that the costs of shipping were 11 percent of the value of United States exports, and could be as high as twenty five percent. By contrast, shipping costs in comparison to product price have fallen sharply. (Asteris, 2009). It is not just the use of containers and ships that is responsible for the transportation costs, the larger normal routes, the increasing competition between the major container ship operators, such as Maesrk and Evergreen, the investment in modernising crane handling equipment and the logistics, have all had an impact. Before containerisation, businesses thought of distribution as a series of processes, ships, trucks and trains. Somebody had to move every box and pallet, and could easily consume half the cost of shipping. Levinson (2006) described this as breaking bulk . With goods waiting in warehouses ready to be moved onto the next stage, transferring and delays made shipments slow and the delivery times erratic. The introduction of containers meant that for the first time, cargo could be locked away when in storage. Whiskey was

Our vision is to reach young people who may not have a church background, teach and train them, equip them, and qualify them to go out and win souls. We believe that by doing this, we will build a strong army who can take our community, state, and the world for Christ. We want to reach young people ages 10 18 in our community. According to Warren, If you want to build a healthy, strong, and growing church you must spend time laying a solid foundation. Using a variety of mathematical equations and making many calculations, we will precisely plot the cobalt concentrations on multiple graphs with a calorimetry device. We will utilize Beer s law and a calorimetry device to measure the molarity/concentrationof the cobalt (II) solution using light. The primary use of this calorimetry device is to find transmittance (T) and absorption (A), which according to Beers law, is directly connected to molarity. The concentration of the unknown solution of Co(NO3)2 can be found with the equation of a graphed best fit line that should represent A = ebc. We will use exact and accurate measurements ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To do so, we used the cuvette 0, also known as the blank, and the cuvette 5, the pure substance. We calibrated our spectrophotometer by setting the О» (wavelength) to 383 nm and then placing the blank in. Afterwards, we set the transmittance to 100%. Then, we removed the blank cuvette and placed the cuvette 5 in. After recording the %T and absorbance, we repeated the process but with a different wavelength. We repeated with wavelengths ranging from 383 to 700, recording the %T and absorbance each time. Subsequently, we used .737 nm, the wavelength with the greatest absorbance, and recalibrated the spectrophotometer at the analytical wavelength. Then, we measured the transmittance and disposed of cuvette 5. We prepared four other diluted solutions of Co(NO3)2 and H2O, measuring the volume of each in Ml. We recorded the mL of Co(NO3)2 and the mL of H2O, calculating a molarity of the dilute that we also recorded. Finally, we used Beer s Law to find the concentration of an unknown solution involving Co(NO3)2 from %T and
