blackness and violence fluctuates between a mode of aggression and a tool of survival. Both
films consistently attempt to represent violence by blacks as a symptom of white dominance
and brutality. In Sweet Sweetback black violence is perceived by the dominant white
institutions (i.e. the police and the officers) as an act of intentional aggression. White perception
deems that blacks will be violent both physically and sexually because they are naturally violent.
It is the responsibility of the whites to protect society from the hypersexual, hyper violent black
male (Class Discussions, 2014). Such is the case when police officers storm the hotel room in
search of Sweetback only to find a black male naked with a white woman in the bed, presumably
after having sex. The officers were quick to physically attack both individuals, though the black
man received a longer and harsher punishment. Their response highlights the taboo nature of
black and white relations in Sweetback as well as the dominant fear of black males as sexual
aggressors who take advantage of white women whenever possible (Class Discussions, 2014).

Information On My Future Career
Recently, I have been using CFNC.org to gather more information on my future career.
CFNC.org has provided me with more knowledge about my future than I could have gotten
using Google. One goal of mine while writing this paper is to show how interested I am about
my future. Another goal I do have is to teach the reader more information about a specific career
path. Every individual has their own career plan, and possibly could be interested in the same
career as me. In the CFNC.org website, there are multiple surveys you can take to get a better feel
for what type of career you might like. During the Career Cluster Survey I honestly had a few
difficult decisions. There are tons of questions so you know your results should be accurate. At the
end of your survey you will be shown a poll with your results. Out of my results, my top three were
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, Information Technology, and Business
Management and Administration. The career I probably should not go for would consist of
Transportation, Distribution and Logistics. With my results I plan to be a ComputerProgrammer.
CFNC.org also has another survey I took, the Basic Skills Survey. This survey allows for you to
find your best life skills. In all the surveys are questions that will better help you understand
yourself. After you take this survey you will be provided another poll with your results. I have

Jealousy, By William Shakespeare
One of the most powerful and prominent themes that is explored in all three of my chosen texts
is jealousy, It is presented in many different ways ranging from sexual and romantic jealousy to
professional jealousy of someone of a higher rank or social standing. In every example jealousy is
portrayed as being the main cause of self destruction of the characters it afflicts. Othellois driven to
madness by his jealousyand this culminates in the murder of his wife, Ferdinand loses his sanity
and murders his sister because of his intense jealousy over her lover and his desire to possess her
body. Finally, hopeless stalker Jed Parry turns suicidal when his desires and lovetoward Joe are not
reciprocated and he becomes increasingly jealous of Joe s girlfriend Clarissa. All three writers
explore the effects of jealousy and its potentially fatal consequences which I destroy the characters
afflicted by this emotion. Webster, Shakespeare and McEwan suggests that jealousy always leads
to self destruction and I will be analysing the causes of jealousy as well as the adverse effects it
has on the characters experiencing it.
Throughout my chosen texts, there are many different causes of jealousy which affect characters in
different ways. Sexual jealousy is the most prevalent type as it affects numerous characters across
the texts. The way in which it is presented is by the gradual progression with the breakdown of the

Despite the fact that you re not conscious when asleep, your brain is active during that time. Your
brain goes through four cycles of sleep which occurs for approximately 90 minutes each. The
first three stages of sleep are call Non Rapid Eye Movement (N1, N2, and N3). The first stage of
sleep is call N1. N1 is the stage between sleep and wakefulness. In this cycle, your brain produces
Theta waves. Hypnogogic Hallucinations are also present during this phase. Hypnogogic
Hallucinations are strange sensations that occur when you hear or see something that is not there.
For example, if you watched the movie Frankenstein before you fall asleep, you might see the
monster Frankenstein when falling asleep. N2 is the second stage of sleep. During
