These kids are indeed the protagonists of the storyline. They are extremely relatable
characters in both their fears and tribulations. In the beginning of the film, Georgie is

I think my biggest shift in understanding education and the school system is just

The development of the Bixi system started with a decision made by the Montreal
city council to provide the city with a bike sharing system. The decision was part of
Reinvent Montreal : an ambitious program that aimed to significantly reduce
automobile dependence by 2020. Initial funding was provided for the project, with
the expectation of the system to become self sufficient within a year of its launch.
Contrary to other cities that outsourced their systems to outside operators, Montreal
was to run the system itself. A system run and operated by the city could provide
greater coordination with the bus and subway system, which was perceived as an
important advantage. The program was also to be funded through membership fees:
opportunities for advertisement revenues (which are typically used to cover the
operating expenses of bike sharing systems) were estimated to be too limited in

Art Analysis Of Thomas P. Anshutz s A Rose
The image I chose for this paper is titled A Rose. The image is a painting painted in
oil on a canvas and was painted by Thomas P. Anshutz. The painting was produced
in Pennsylvania during 1907. I researched this image on ARTstor by using the term
realism and then I narrowed down my search by selecting a filter to return paintings
as well as setting the geography filter to North America. The painting belongs to The
Metropolitan Museum of Art s collection and is on display in the American Wing in
the gallery of Images of Womanfrom 1880 to 1910.
I selected this painting because the colour contrast of the pink dress against the dark
background caught my eye. I also found the expression of the young woman to be
interesting.
The painting depicts a young woman in a pink dress sitting down. The background
is very dark but three things can be made out by the viewer. Starting with the
ground plane of the painting, an orange carpet can be seen covering the entire
floor. It is patterned and contains yellows, greens and blues. The cool toned colours
are darker in hue than the warm toned. Secondly, there appears to be a cabinet or a
desk lining the wall behind her. The wood of the cabinetry is carved with detailed
designs and is made of a dark stained wood. Despite the dark background a single red
rose can be seen on top of the cabinetry. The rose looks freshly picked and shows no
signs of withering in its petals. It is painted in a muted red colour that allows it to
