climbing giving San Diego the dubious distinction of being the most overcrowded system in the
country. To determine more effective ways of handling the increasing number of inmates, the county
commissioned two external feasibility studies (1985 and 1989), as well as an internal study. With
respect to food service, the findings of all the studies supported the creation of a centralized cook/chill
system for the county s facilities. There are two basic methods of cook/chill: cryo vat (tumble ... Show

Role Of Justice And The State Of The Athenian Statesman Essay
Although Solon is recognized as an eminent figure in developing the early stages of Athenian
democracy, writings and other accounts of the life and beliefs of the Athenian statesman and writer are
relatively sparse. As a poet, Solon merged political theory with forceful expression to craft poems
centered on the role of justice and the state. Of the scarce secondary descriptions of Solon, Herodotus
s account in The Histories ranks most significant, in which Solon emerges as a sagely but transient
advisor to the myopic monarch Croesus. While Solon s appearance is short lived, the pith of his words
echoes throughout the parable of not only Croesus, but The Histories as a whole. In juxtaposing these
connected works, a clearer image of Solon comes into focus. He is a man obsessively concerned with
complex, interrelated social paradigms authority, happiness, and prosperity, particularly as their
manifestation in society conflicts with his own understanding of justice and morality. Solon s
diagnosis of Athenian society paints a bleak picture of a society founded upon . The citizens are
witless , bent on ruining their great city , while the rulers are unjust in mind , arrogant, greedy, and
unconcerned with the greater good (Solon Fr 4.5 7). Parallel to Athens and its woes is Sardis. Sardis is
a warlike city ruled by Croesus, a zealous and power thirsty monarch willing to attack neighboring
cities under pretexts substantive or trivial , (Herodotus 1.26) in doing so

Research Paper On Eysenck
Hans J. Eysenck On March 4, 1916, Hans J. Eysenck was born in Berlin, Germany. At first, an
ignorant to the world of psychology, Eysenck, encouraged by friends and family embarked on the
journey and received his Ph.D. in 1940 at the age of 24. Thereafter, Eysenck invested his time in
researching the genetic influences on psychology through which the five primary factors of
characteristics emerge.
In order to understand personality, Eysenck studied all forces of biology, historical typologies,
learning theory and factor analysis. Since Eysenck believed that genetics is the source of personalities,
he defined personality as a more or less stable and enduring organization of a person s character,
temperament, intellect and physique which determines his unique adjustment to the environment.
Although he was a behaviorist, who believed that one can only study a response, he did believe that
internal sources trigger the responses. Famously, he searched to identify the genetic ... Show more

The five, commonly referred by the acronym OCEAN, categorize traits to determine where one falls
on the factors of openness, conscientious, extroversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Original
descriptions of these factors stem from the terms used to describe them; whereas, the sophisticated
methods use the factor analysis to cluster traits and form the factor. Additionally, questionnaires and
ratings, such as the NEO PI R test, further assist in deciphering the Big Five. Last, much evidence
proves that inheritance of traits strongly impacts the Big Five theory. This is very visible on tests
conducted on identical twins whose traits are similar due to shared genes. Of course, environmental

Sinusitis Care Plan Essays
This therapeutic care plan will utilized the I can treat and prescribe framework to ensure that
appropriate patient treatments are selected using a step by step approach, including assessment
integration, drug and/or disease related problems, therapeutic goals, therapeutic alternatives and
indications, plan of care and evaluation (OPHCNPP, 2012). By going through each step of this
framework, and including or excluding treatment options based on individual patient factors and
strong clinical evidence, this clinician will arrive at the most suitable treatment plan for the patient.

For H.K, the oral route of medication administration was most appropriate, the least invasive and the

pharmacokinetics of other drugs (Rx Files, 2012, Epocrates, 2013). The patient was not taking
borrowed prescriptions, using drugs from previous occurrences of the condition, or experiencing any
adverse drug events/reactions to Advil cold and sinus. Also, he was not being double dosed or

of differentiating bacterial sinusitis from a viral respiratory tract infection (Desrosiers et al., 2011).
Initiation of treatment should take place 7 to 10 days after persistent symptoms or when signs
compatible with acute sinusitis occur (Desrosiers et al., 2011). Since H.K s

Art And Its Impact On Society
Art plays a very important role in our society, it is an opportunity to express what we feel, what we
think, what we hope, what we love or hate, what we want to change, how we visualize the future, and
what motivate us. As humans we have the natural necessity to express and show those feelings. Art
has existed throughout the years and across the world in some form or another. It is a part of our daily
lives and has huge meaning to all the different cultures across the world. Creativity is essential to
create art and most people enjoy it in some form, whether it is music, paintings, dance, statues or
buildings. Art can also be found in other fields as engineering, physics and mathematics. The arts,
both visual and performing, are part of our humanity and provide us a variety of ways to express
ourselves. Art appreciation may vary from person to person. Viewers will judge art based on their own
definition of beauty. However, it is important to not just look at the piece of art but take a deeper
observation and interpret the meaning behind it. What a piece of art means can often times be more
important than how it looks. Instead of simply judging whether a piece of art is visually pleasing or
not, the observer should react to the message that the author is sending through his creation. When
reacting to the meaning of a piece of art, the basic values, beliefs, and ideology that the viewers
possess affect how they see and what they see on the

Comparison And Contrast In Research Paper
Comparison and contrast is when you compare two alternatives in order to decide which one is better
by finding the differences or similarities between them. In comparison you will find the differences
between two or more things, and in contrast you will find the similarities.
Depending on what type of paper you are writing, many times the subject will be chosen for you.
However, in other situations you have to choose your own; when choosing the subjects keep in mind
that they need to have obvious differences or similarities.
A comparison and contrast essay can be structured in three ways: subject by subject, that is good for
short essays; separating the subjects in different paragraphs, for example: write the subject A in one or
two paragraphs and subject B in the next paragraphs. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Subject A point 2, subject B, point 2 and so on. This type is good for long essays and also make it
easier for the reader to follow.
And the third way is the mixed sequence that includes both ways, subject by subject and point by
point, is good for a diversity on your paper.
When writing a comparison you will be constructing an analogy, which means using an unusual
subject related to something more usual to better help the reader understand the subject. There is two
common forms in analogy: metaphor, which is a figure of speech where one thing is compared to an
object or action but no literally, is just a way so the reader can better comprehend, and simile that
differs from metaphor because of the use of the words like or as when comparing, for example: my
internet today is slow like a snail.

The Stranger
After only a few days of trial, the jury in The Stranger declares that the main character, Meursault, is
to be executed by guillotine in the town square. The trial and its verdict are one of the important parts
of the novel, as Albert Camus uses them as a metaphor to summarize the two main tenets of
absurdism. Camus uses the trial and persecution of Meursault to express his belief that the justice
system is flawed because of his absurdist ideals that truth does not exist, and human life is precious. In
order to reform the justice system, Albert Camus believes that capital punishment needs to be
abolished.
The trial portrays the absurdist ideal that absolute truth does not exist. This ideal destroys the very
purpose of the trial, which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All the facts the prosecutor presents are valid and true, though unrelated to his case. From the
prosecutor s point of view, Meursault is a monster, a man without morals (96). Even Meursault agrees
that what he was saying was plausible (99). The reader, who knows all of Meursault s thoughts, knows
how absurd the prosecution s accusations are. Throughout the trial, Camus explains that perception
means everything, and there is no absolute truth.
The conviction of Meursault represents another main point of absurdism, that life is precious. It only
takes forty five minutes for an entire jury to unanimously decide to send Meursault to the guillotine,
which is unreasonable. Camus is trying to point this out as one of society s wrongdoings. The
prosecutor s argument had appealed to the jury s emotions and society s standards rather than reason.
If the jury had not felt the emotions that were supposed to influence their decision, the prosecutor s
argument would have seemed completely irrational. In a rational world, Meursault s emotions
regarding his mother or her funeral would not have influenced his verdict. Meursault commits a crime
against an Arab, while Raymond, who had also done so earlier in the book, did not get into any
trouble. He would still be found guilty, but only for the crime he committed. This would have
definitely lightened his sentence; however, Meursault is sentenced to death. Camus proves the court s
hypocrisy and shows how human

The Ethics Of The Encyclopedia Of Philosophy
The methodology I find myself basing most of my decisions off of is aretology, also referred to as
virtue ethics. Aretology is defined by Lovin as a system of thinking about ethics that centers on
virtues. Unlike deontology and teleology, which only focus on either rules or goals, aretology
combines both rules and goals making it a good basis for ethical decisions.
The Stanford of Encyclopedia of Philosophy defines virtue ethics as an ethical approach that
emphasizes the virtues, or moral character, in contrast to the approach which emphasizes duties or
rules (deontology) or that which emphasizes the consequences of actions (consequentialism).
Additionally, The Stanford of Encyclopedia of Philosophy gives an example of a virtue ethicist by
saying that a virtuous person will help someone in need because it is charitable and contributes to the
good of society.
The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy gives a very similar definition that says that areteology is a
broad term for theories that emphasize the role of character and virtue in moral philosophy rather than
either doing one s duty or acting in order to bring about good consequences. The Internet
Encyclopedia of Philosophy also says that aretology was inspired by Aristotle, who said that a
virtuous person would have ideal character traits, which begin as instincts and are then established
after gaining personal experience. Lovin goes on to give Aristotle s definition of a virtue, which is a
pattern of behavior

Death and Time in Slaughterhouse-Five
Death and Time in Slaughterhouse Five
We all wish we could travel through time, going back to correct our stupid mistakes or zooming ahead
to see the future. In Kurt Vonnegut s novel Slaughterhouse Five, however, time travel does not seem
so helpful. Billy Pilgrim, Vonnegut s main character, has come unstuck in time. He bounces back and
forth between his past, present, and future lives in a roller coaster time trip that proves both senseless
and numbing. Examining Billy s time traveling, his life on Tralfamadore, and the novel s
schizophrenic structure shows that time travel is actually a metaphor for our human tendency to avoid
facing the unpleasant reality of death.
Because he cannot control time ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are plenty of other moments of time, they reason, when that person is alive. Therefore, death
can be overlooked as a chronological inconvenience.
This philosophy of life and death they instill in Billy himself, speaking to him in a disembodied voice
which floats down into the zoo cage which serves as his home:
We spend eternity looking at pleasant moments like today at the zoo. Isn t this a nice moment? Yes.
[Billy answered] That s the one thing Earthlings might learn to do, if they tried hard enough: Ignore
the awful times, and concentrate on the good ones. (117)
But ignoring death and its suffering is exactly what Billy should not be doing, Vonnegut suggests. To
do so makes him, like the Tralfamadorians, alien and inhuman. He has no sense of his own mortality,
an awareness he needs in order to understand that, as Stephen Marten has observed, life is valuable not
because it is infinite but because it is so scarce (11).
Curiously, Vonnegut uses the Tralfamadorian idea that books, like life, should have no beginning, no
middle, no end, no suspense, no moral, no causes, no effects (88). As he states on the title page of , his
novel is written somewhat in the telegraphic, schizophrenic manner of the tales of the planet
Tralfamadore (i). True to his promise, the book has no orderly plot but

Life Depicted In Thornton Wilder s Our Town
People live in perpetual motion their whole life. Our Town, by Thornton Wilder portrays characters
who live the same lives as their parents. They do not think of adapting their own lives to make them
happier and better suited for themselves instead of their parents. He points to characters doing the
same as others that are usually described by others as special. Their mundane lives show that Wilder
believes that lives are monotonous and that they need to be improved upon. By repeatedly showing
similarities in the characters lives, Wilder conveys the message that humans live the same lives as

Cross-Cultural Communication Vs American Culture

This paper is about comparing and contrasting the American style of communication and that of
Bahrain. Different countries have their own interpretation for every single issue based on their culture

individualism, equality, competition, freedom and privacy, action orientation, directness, particularity,

Americans obey rules most of the time, but they see rules as someone else s idea of how they should

appropriate for their situation now. Therefore they break it and do what they think is a better idea.
Though Americans say, Rules are made to be broken, but they never say, Laws are made to be broken.
Laws are official legal and they proudly claim that in America, No one is above the law . (Nussbaum,

Overview Of The Socio-Cultural Cognitive Theory Of Lev...
The socio cultural cognitive theory of Lev Vygotsky emphasizes children s cognitive development
cannot be understood apart from cultural settings, and social interactions and activities shape their
ways to construct knowledge (Jahoda, Dagnan, Stenfert Kroese, Pert, Trower, 2009; Santrock,
Mackenzie Rivers, Pangman, 2017; Woolfolk, Winne, Perry, 2016). The notion of the zone of
proximal development (ZPD) is a well known concept of his theoretical framework (Santrock,
Mackenzie Rivers, Pangman, 2017; Woolfolk, Winne, Perry, 2016; Ylvisaker Feeney, 2009). In the
follow paragraphs, I will brief explain this concept, clarify how it closely relates to individual daily
life, and discuss the limit of this notion with reflect on my personal experience.
Vygotsky s concept of ZPD refers to the range of difficulties which children are unable to master
alone, but they could solve independently if adults or more mature peers provide the appropriate
support (Jahoda, Dagnan, Stenfert Kroese, Pert, Trower, 2009; Santrock, Mackenzie Rivers, Pangman,
2017; Woolfolk, Winne, Perry, 2016). In teaching, the ZPD typifies the theoretical space between what
students already knew and what students are not ready to learn (Santrock, Mackenzie Rivers,
Pangman, 2017; Woolfolk, Winne, Perry, 2016). Two borders of this space are represented as the
lower limit of ZPD (e.g. the difficulties which children are able to master alone, what students already
knew), and the upper limit of

Death of a Salesman as a Modern Tragedy
Death of a Salesman as a modern tragedy
Death of a Salesman as a modern tragedy
Death of a Salesman is typically classified as a modern tragedy. This implies that it follows the
example of the classic Greek tragedies, Roman tragedies and Shakespearian and Jacobean tragedy.
There are, however, subtle but vital differences between these forms. Aristotle s classic view of
tragedy saw the form as one which only properly deals with the fate of gods, kings and heroes. In the
twentieth century, such a restricted definition would consign tragedy to the waste bin of literary
history. Consequently, in Death of a Salesman, Miller challenges this view and presents us with an
entirely new one.

Miller s narrative form
The fact that the story is told through both present events and Willy s versions of the past means that it
is entirely self contained. All the essential details of his childhood, his life away from Linda and his
sons and the mainsprings of his character are revealed so gradually that they are easily absorbed and
understood. We are left in no doubt as to what is fact and what is fantasy in the frequent re enactments.
The audience sees Willy s own accounts being neatly balanced by those of other characters.
Miller s almost kaleidoscopic approach allows us to believe in, and be engaged by, the tragedy that
unfolds in a way that would be difficult in a more traditional dramatic presentation. A
straightforwardly chronological account would be both less interesting and less revealing than the
juxtaposition of scenes Miller gives us. It is often the sidelights thrown on events by seeing them re
enacted and hearing Willy draw conclusions from them that enables us to gain a clear picture of what
happens. In this way, we are able to appreciate the scale of Willy s decline and his own part in it.
Unlike the kings and heroes of classical tragedies, Willy is so fully fleshed, so human, that it is
difficult not be fooled into believing he is a real person and not simply a character in a play.

The United States Legislative Branch Of Government
The United States legislative branch of government is best described as bicameral meaning of two
houses where two governing bodies separately but functionally unitedly oversee the law making duties
of the country. The two houses of the legislative branch are the Senate and the House of
Representatives which both have distinct but crucial duties regarding key decisions affecting
anywhere from individual districts to the United States as a collective entity. Members of the House of
Representatives and the Senate (altogether called Congress ) belong to one of the two main American
political parties; republicans or democrats. While a third party does exist they are substantially
irrelevant in the current governing system. The third, independent, party does not achieve the
popularity to be a representative heuristic of the people of America. By nature a democracy should
reflect upon the needs and wants of the citizens of that democracy therefore bureaucrats in the House
of Representatives and the Senate are appointed their seats in congress through direct election. The
House of Representatives serves as a representation of the population of a single district; a district
being an area of a state divided evenly among other districts in the state based on population results
from the U.S. Census. Districts can be reapportioned every ten years depending on the current
population in a certain geographical area in a state. In a simplified form, larger states are given more

My Reflection Of My Writing As A Portfolio

enjoyed this class a lot because I was able to learn a lot about myself as a learner and was able to work

which at first wasn t easy because I wasn t really good at that. These past ten weeks, say that I m still

The Milton Friedman Rule
OTHER SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENT OR CONTRIBUTION IN ECONOMICS FIELD
Other significant contribution or achievement of Milton Friedman in economy field is in economics
scholarly. He had introduced a few of rule, function and hypothesis such as Friedman Rule, Friedman
s K percent Rule, saving utility function and permanent income hypothesis.
Friedman Rule
Friedman Rule was proposed by Milton Friedman in 1969. This rule is about monetary policy. Money
is anything that generally accepted as payment for goods and service, but it is costless to provide. So,
money is valuable for consumers and businesses (Rognlie,2011).
Friedman rule suggests setting the nominal interest rate at zero. This is due to the logic of opportunity
cost of holding money by private sector which is nominal interest rate should equal to the social
marginal cost which is creating additional fiat of money. This means marginal cost of producing
additional fiat of money is zero. Thus, nominal interest rate practically is zero.
Well, the real interest rate always is positive and this means we have a long term deflation. This also
implies that central bank should make the rate of deflation same to rate of real interest. As the rate of
deflation equal to the real rate of interest, people who hold the money would not loss in value of
money when inflation happened.
Friedman s K percent Rule
Friedman s k percent rule is proposed by Milton Friedman after Friedman s rule. This rule is the way

China Yuan Becoming Reserve Currency
Market Liberalization... with Chinese Characteristics:
Can the Chinese Yuan become a Global Reserve Currency?

Dr. Dosse Toulaboe
Abstract
China s economy is growing ever larger, but is that enough to get the Chinese Renminbi (more
commonly known as Yuan) to be accepted as a global market currency? This paper will look into the
liberalization, but with Chinese characteristics, of five determining factors in becoming a country
whose currency is a global reserve currency. These factors are as follows: economic size,
macroeconomic policies, flexible exchange rates, financial market development, and finally having ...

dollar. In 2005, China announced the move stating it was a move towards allowing the Yuan to
eventually float freely. However, China still maintained intense government control by abandoning its
peg to the U.S. dollar and simply moving it to link with a handful of other world currencies (Schuman,
2012).
So while this step may have paved the way towards a floating currency, it was s step taken that also
kept in place a way for tight government control and regulation. Then, in 2008 to help curb the effects
of the global financial crisis, China s economy once again pegged it s currency to the U.S. dollar.
Since, China has removed that peg and in 2010 again announced to the world that is was committed to
resuming reforms of the Yuan exchange rate and increasing currency flexibility (China Daily, 2010).
It seems that with flexible exchange rates in China, it feels like two steps forward, one step
backwards. While they are indeed moving toward a floating exchange rate, it is a slow going process
filled with exhaustive government control and regulation.
Financial Market Development
Having a relatively liquid market is important for financial market development in order to attract
foreign investors. To broaden the influence and liquidity of the Yuan, China has signed several (while
limited) currency and central bank liquidity swap deals with multiple countries including Argentina,

to go into business on her own. Yoga was more of a part time job for her as her children were very
young, but after her Dad s passing in 2011, she took a short break from working to refocus on her
family. During that break she began debating going out on her own, opening her own yoga studio,
instead of returning to work for someone else. Deb was really close to her dad and took his
suggestions to heart. Her dad had a saying he always followed in his life, take risks in life, live
without regret, go all in . Deb decided that was exactly what she was going to do and Essence Yoga
opened its doors in February of 2012. Four years later, Deb now has seven employees working for her.

Persepolis Gender Analysis
In American Born Chinese and in Persepolis, both protagonists hate their nationality and wish they
were normal. Being a minority can be difficult at times. Sometimes, minorities are looked down upon
and just wish that they could be normal like the rest of the people they are surrounded by. In
Persepolis, Satrapi was asked what race she was and lied in response to gain others respect and to be
seen as an equal. In the graphic novel, the panel used at this time shows tense emotions by the action
lines seen and the facial expressions. When she lies, the entire background is black and she looks sad.
Satrapi does not maintain eye contact when she lied because she was embarrassed and knew she made
a mistake. With the gutters between the scenes, we can assume how she is feeling after lying.
Occasionally, ignorant people will assume that you are just like your race. In Satrapi s case, people
would see her as a terrorist. Satrapi lied so that the boy she liked would view her as a normal person,
not just some terrorist. In American Born Chinese, Jin Wang also denied his nationality to be seen as
normal by society. When Wang was introduced to class, a boy made a joke saying, Don t you people
eat dogs? . Racism due to being a minority can affect how much one wants to express their culture. If
people are intolerant of others, they have a tendency to hide their culture. Wang was also classmates
with a another Asian girl, which he never talked to because his classmates would make racist jokes
about arranged marriages. When another Asian boy was introduced to the class, Wang wanted to hit
him because he fit the stereotypes of the Asian culture. He was depicted wearing glasses, dressing in
horrendous clothing, having an accent, and having squinty eyes. Wang did not want to associate with
the new kid. When the new kid spoke the Chinese language, Wang was mad. His eyebrows were
squinted and he told him You re in America. Speak English. In general, both the protagonist from the
stories hid their nationalism so that they would not be picked on. They both need to accept their
nationalism in order to mature. In both graphic novels, both protagonists, Wang and Satrapi, want to
fit in with white America. Satrapi spends a good

also a Trademark Law Treaty (TLT) that has been adopted in Geneva on October 27, 1994, that was
meant to advice contracting States not to burden the trade mark applicants or proprietors with
requirements over and above those laid down in the Treaty. The requirements can be in the form of
administrative requirements of the national offices of contracting parties by establishing standards for

Unfortunately, there are huge disparities of the national laws on trade marks of the Member States
which resulted in an adverse impact on the internal market. Therefore, the creation on a unitary trade
mark system in the Community was a logical development in the creation of a Common Market . One
of the earliest legislative in EU is The First Council Directive 89/104/EEC (hereinafter Harmonisation
Directive). The main objective if this legislation was to minimise the differences between the national
trade mark systems. These differences present barriers to trade and affect free movement of goods and
services, thereby hindering the development of a single market. The Harmonisation Directive does not
disturb the policies on procedure and is restricted to guidelines on substance. Even though the
Harmonisation Directive which covers a wide range of issues and is hailed by the harmonization
enthusiasts, the part such as the national trade mark office s ex officio managing of grounds for refusal
are still absent and not settled by the Directive. Therefore, in terms of single market requirements, the
directive s target of harmonization could still not be described as being totally in conformity with the
single market

Factors Helping Children Learn Their Native Tongue Essay
Factors Helping Children Learn Their Native Tongue There are many factors as to how a child may be
able to learn their native tongue at a very young age. Each of these factors has advantages and
disadvantages in a child s learning to speak their native tongue and some are more effective than
others. This essay will discuss each of these factors and how important they are. Some of the factors
that will be included in this essay are the children imitating their parents, being taught by their parents,
interaction with adults and the child s ability to work out the rules of grammar. It has been said that in
their development of language, children begin to make sounds or say words by imitating what ... Show

Although it is argued that a child is not exposed to enough language to merely imitate. Also it is
evident that children tend to over extend words and call more than one object the name of another
object, or over generalize words for example adding ed onto the end of words such as falled . It has
also been suggested that by careful teaching from the parent can be crucial within a child s
development. For example repetition from the parent towards the child, such as saying Daddy can
make a child s understanding of language develop quicker. But also this can by changing the language
that they use when around the child. This sort of babyish talk is often called caretaker speech or
parentese , but this use of babyish language would make it harder for the child to create sentences. The
subjects and topics should be of which the child can understand, but if spoken in an adult manner the
child would be able to make connections on how sentences are put together. Although it has been said
that there is always a gap between understanding and meaning, where the child may imitate what they
hear but not actually understand what they are saying. Also the rules of grammar have been shown to
be too complex for a child learning to speak, as they would not have yet

Firstly, they do have some things in common. To get the obvious one out of the way, they were both
volcanoes. Although, they are not just volcanos, but they are active stratovolcanoes. The
stratovolcanoes are the dangerous kind of volcano that explodes. The days that precede the eruption
contained tremors. During there eruptions, they both spewed ash and pumice into the air. There smoke

Las Vegas Strip Clubs Research Paper
Legendary Las Vegas strip clubs have cemented themselves as one of the most storied institutions in
this city of debauchery and merriment. A city does not deserve a reputation as being America s Adult
Playground without offering a side of eye candy to male visitors. If you are a Sin City newbie, you
might be wondering what the difference between strippers and escorts is. Visitors in Las Vegas call
girls who provide private stripper services *escorts*, and these ladies come to one s accommodations
to perform a private show. These performances differ, in that they can be personalized to a guy s
tastes. Additionally, reputable escort services provide entertainer bios, so the ideal companion can be
selected from a gallery of bombshells with impressive striptease skills. While you will find eye
catching ladies dancing at night inside Vegas strip clubs, you could possibly be disappointed during
daytime hours when clubs are less patronized. Fewer women are on hand, and the ladies working
during the day are not the club s most lauded entertainers. It is worth noting that the hottest dancers

For starters, they are expensive, and probably more so than in other regions you have visited. Some
Vegas strip club deals include happy hours or no cover charges during the day, but remember, that is
when the least popular dancers work. So the ladies on hand may not be any more impressive than what
you are accustomed to at clubs where you live. Also, the dynamic is different. In smaller, less touristy
cities, dancers strive to establish regulars who come to see them frequently. Vegas strippers are less
motivated to hope for a customer s return because that happening is so infrequent. Therefore, they
work toward garnering a man s attention for as long as he will have them dance for him in the club, on

Technology In Hockey Research Paper
Technology of Hockey Equipment People have been playing various types of hockey with sticks and
rocks on frozen ponds for ages, but the first organized game was in Montreal, Canada on March 3,
1875. Since that time to now, the evolution of the technology has increased, from the equipment to
rink itself the changes have been made for the safety and lives of players. In the beginning players
didn t even wear helmets. Protective helmets weren t worn until a game against Boston and Toronto
around 1933. It was said that when a Boston player checked a Toronto player, causing a career ending
injury, Players suddenly started wearing helmets made of leather and rubber. (1) Since then, they have
been trying to make the helmets safer for the players. It is known that Helmets today feature the same
general construction, with a hard outer shell made from plastic and other composite materials encasing
a series of foam padding designed to cushion the head. Hockey helmets also feature vents for cooling
and adjustable chin straps for a precise fit. (2) Today the helmets have visors over the eyes to ... Show

The boots were made of leather and the blades were of metal. They would have to buy new skates
every time the blades got damaged. It was only in the 1970 s that they developed a skate that let you

them to protect the blade until someone got nicked in the leg by the blade of a skate. The skates today
are made with a memory foam that conforms to your foot over time, resulting in the perfect fit. This
foam reforms into the shape of your foot when it has become heated and soft for a customized fit.
Similar to breaking in a baseball glove, the baking process makes the skate pliable to give players a
more comfortable fit quicker and without the discomfort of blisters and pressure points.

  • 2. Food Service Cook/Chill Centralized Food Service in Corrections By Louise E. Mathews, Chief of Food Services, San Diego County, California, Sheriffs Department capacity of 2,345. In 1989, these facilities were holding up to 4,500 inmates and the numbers were climbing giving San Diego the dubious distinction of being the most overcrowded system in the country. To determine more effective ways of handling the increasing number of inmates, the county commissioned two external feasibility studies (1985 and 1989), as well as an internal study. With respect to food service, the findings of all the studies supported the creation of a centralized cook/chill system for the county s facilities. There are two basic methods of cook/chill: cryo vat (tumble ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The 38,000 square foot center will encompass the latest developments in cook/chill technology, as well as a state of the art bakery and a specially designed computer system. production center will initially serve 2,000 staff and inmates; however, it is designed to eventually produce 29,000 meals per day to accommodate 7,000 inmates and staff in the proposed honor camps and jails on the Otay Mesa site. San Diego is one of the first correctional agencies to use cook/chill processing, and will be the first to adopt a system of pre packing entrees. As a recent feasibility study has shown, with some additions and modifications the food production center would San Diego County. The technique has enabled some private industries to reduce labor costs by 40 percent. • 3. Role Of Justice And The State Of The Athenian Statesman Essay Although Solon is recognized as an eminent figure in developing the early stages of Athenian democracy, writings and other accounts of the life and beliefs of the Athenian statesman and writer are relatively sparse. As a poet, Solon merged political theory with forceful expression to craft poems centered on the role of justice and the state. Of the scarce secondary descriptions of Solon, Herodotus s account in The Histories ranks most significant, in which Solon emerges as a sagely but transient advisor to the myopic monarch Croesus. While Solon s appearance is short lived, the pith of his words echoes throughout the parable of not only Croesus, but The Histories as a whole. In juxtaposing these connected works, a clearer image of Solon comes into focus. He is a man obsessively concerned with complex, interrelated social paradigms authority, happiness, and prosperity, particularly as their manifestation in society conflicts with his own understanding of justice and morality. Solon s diagnosis of Athenian society paints a bleak picture of a society founded upon . The citizens are witless , bent on ruining their great city , while the rulers are unjust in mind , arrogant, greedy, and unconcerned with the greater good (Solon Fr 4.5 7). Parallel to Athens and its woes is Sardis. Sardis is a warlike city ruled by Croesus, a zealous and power thirsty monarch willing to attack neighboring cities under pretexts substantive or trivial , (Herodotus 1.26) in doing so ... • 4. Research Paper On Eysenck Hans J. Eysenck On March 4, 1916, Hans J. Eysenck was born in Berlin, Germany. At first, an ignorant to the world of psychology, Eysenck, encouraged by friends and family embarked on the journey and received his Ph.D. in 1940 at the age of 24. Thereafter, Eysenck invested his time in researching the genetic influences on psychology through which the five primary factors of characteristics emerge. In order to understand personality, Eysenck studied all forces of biology, historical typologies, learning theory and factor analysis. Since Eysenck believed that genetics is the source of personalities, he defined personality as a more or less stable and enduring organization of a person s character, temperament, intellect and physique which determines his unique adjustment to the environment. Although he was a behaviorist, who believed that one can only study a response, he did believe that internal sources trigger the responses. Famously, he searched to identify the genetic ... The five, commonly referred by the acronym OCEAN, categorize traits to determine where one falls on the factors of openness, conscientious, extroversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Additionally, questionnaires and ratings, such as the NEO PI R test, further assist in deciphering the Big Five. Last, much evidence proves that inheritance of traits strongly impacts the Big Five theory. This is very visible on tests conducted on identical twins whose traits are similar due to shared genes. Sinusitis Care Plan Essays This therapeutic care plan will utilized the I can treat and prescribe framework to ensure that appropriate patient treatments are selected using a step by step approach, including assessment integration, drug and/or disease related problems, therapeutic goals, therapeutic alternatives and indications, plan of care and evaluation (OPHCNPP, 2012). By going through each step of this framework, and including or excluding treatment options based on individual patient factors and strong clinical evidence, this clinician will arrive at the most suitable treatment plan for the patient. For H.K, the oral route of medication administration was most appropriate, the least invasive and the easiest way for an adult to take drugs (Brophy et al, 2011). Advil cold and sinus is not a cytochrome P450 system inhibitor, which is the main (or partial) cause for large differences in the pharmacokinetics of other drugs (Rx Files, 2012, Epocrates, 2013). The patient was not taking borrowed prescriptions, using drugs from previous occurrences of the condition, or experiencing any adverse drug events/reactions to Advil cold and sinus. Also, he was not being double dosed or experiencing therapeutic duplication of drugs belonging to the same pharmaceutical class. H.K had no untreated medical conditions (other than his new acute sinusitis), was not taking drugs prescribed by other clinicians and there were no other factors (communication errors, non adherence, financial restrictions) influencing his ability to receive medication. Antibiotic therapy should be reserved for patients with acute bacterial sinusitis as defined by a complete history and physical examination (AMA, 2008). A wait and see approach has been suggested in recent Canadian guidelines as a means of differentiating bacterial sinusitis from a viral respiratory tract infection (Desrosiers et al., 2011). Initiation of treatment should take place 7 to 10 days after persistent symptoms or when signs compatible with acute sinusitis occur (Desrosiers et al., 2011). Since H.K s ... • 6. Art And Its Impact On Society Art plays a very important role in our society, it is an opportunity to express what we feel, what we think, what we hope, what we love or hate, what we want to change, how we visualize the future, and what motivate us. As humans we have the natural necessity to express and show those feelings. Art has existed throughout the years and across the world in some form or another. It is a part of our daily lives and has huge meaning to all the different cultures across the world. Creativity is essential to create art and most people enjoy it in some form, whether it is music, paintings, dance, statues or buildings. Art can also be found in other fields as engineering, physics and mathematics. The arts, both visual and performing, are part of our humanity and provide us a variety of ways to express ourselves. Art appreciation may vary from person to person. Viewers will judge art based on their own definition of beauty. However, it is important to not just look at the piece of art but take a deeper observation and interpret the meaning behind it. What a piece of art means can often times be more important than how it looks. Instead of simply judging whether a piece of art is visually pleasing or not, the observer should react to the message that the author is sending through his creation. When reacting to the meaning of a piece of art, the basic values, beliefs, and ideology that the viewers possess affect how they see and what they see on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Comparison And Contrast In Research Paper Comparison and contrast is when you compare two alternatives in order to decide which one is better by finding the differences or similarities between them. In comparison you will find the differences between two or more things, and in contrast you will find the similarities. Depending on what type of paper you are writing, many times the subject will be chosen for you. However, in other situations you have to choose your own; when choosing the subjects keep in mind that they need to have obvious differences or similarities. A comparison and contrast essay can be structured in three ways: subject by subject, that is good for short essays; separating the subjects in different paragraphs, for example: write the subject A in one or two paragraphs and subject B in the next paragraphs. ... When writing a comparison you will be constructing an analogy, which means using an unusual subject related to something more usual to better help the reader understand the subject. There is two common forms in analogy: metaphor, which is a figure of speech where one thing is compared to an object or action but no literally, is just a way so the reader can better comprehend, and simile that differs from metaphor because of the use of the words like or as when comparing, for example: my internet today is slow like a snail. • 8. The Stranger After only a few days of trial, the jury in The Stranger declares that the main character, Meursault, is to be executed by guillotine in the town square. The trial and its verdict are one of the important parts of the novel, as Albert Camus uses them as a metaphor to summarize the two main tenets of absurdism. Camus uses the trial and persecution of Meursault to express his belief that the justice system is flawed because of his absurdist ideals that truth does not exist, and human life is precious. In order to reform the justice system, Albert Camus believes that capital punishment needs to be abolished. The trial portrays the absurdist ideal that absolute truth does not exist. This ideal destroys the very purpose of the trial, which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All the facts the prosecutor presents are valid and true, though unrelated to his case. From the prosecutor s point of view, Meursault is a monster, a man without morals (96). Even Meursault agrees that what he was saying was plausible (99). The reader, who knows all of Meursault s thoughts, knows how absurd the prosecution s accusations are. Throughout the trial, Camus explains that perception means everything, and there is no absolute truth. The conviction of Meursault represents another main point of absurdism, that life is precious. It only takes forty five minutes for an entire jury to unanimously decide to send Meursault to the guillotine, which is unreasonable. Camus is trying to point this out as one of society s wrongdoings. The prosecutor s argument had appealed to the jury s emotions and society s standards rather than reason. If the jury had not felt the emotions that were supposed to influence their decision, the prosecutor s argument would have seemed completely irrational. In a rational world, Meursault s emotions regarding his mother or her funeral would not have influenced his verdict. Meursault commits a crime against an Arab, while Raymond, who had also done so earlier in the book, did not get into any trouble. He would still be found guilty, but only for the crime he committed. This would have definitely lightened his sentence; however, Meursault is sentenced to death. Camus proves the court s hypocrisy and shows how human ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. The Ethics Of The Encyclopedia Of Philosophy The methodology I find myself basing most of my decisions off of is aretology, also referred to as virtue ethics. Aretology is defined by Lovin as a system of thinking about ethics that centers on virtues. Unlike deontology and teleology, which only focus on either rules or goals, aretology combines both rules and goals making it a good basis for ethical decisions. The Stanford of Encyclopedia of Philosophy defines virtue ethics as an ethical approach that emphasizes the virtues, or moral character, in contrast to the approach which emphasizes duties or rules (deontology) or that which emphasizes the consequences of actions (consequentialism). Additionally, The Stanford of Encyclopedia of Philosophy gives an example of a virtue ethicist by saying that a virtuous person will help someone in need because it is charitable and contributes to the good of society. The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy gives a very similar definition that says that areteology is a broad term for theories that emphasize the role of character and virtue in moral philosophy rather than either doing one s duty or acting in order to bring about good consequences. The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy also says that aretology was inspired by Aristotle, who said that a virtuous person would have ideal character traits, which begin as instincts and are then established after gaining personal experience. Lovin goes on to give Aristotle s definition of a virtue, which is a pattern of behavior ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Death and Time in Slaughterhouse-Five Death and Time in Slaughterhouse Five We all wish we could travel through time, going back to correct our stupid mistakes or zooming ahead to see the future. In Kurt Vonnegut s novel Slaughterhouse Five, however, time travel does not seem so helpful. Billy Pilgrim, Vonnegut s main character, has come unstuck in time. He bounces back and forth between his past, present, and future lives in a roller coaster time trip that proves both senseless and numbing. Isn t this a nice moment? Yes. [Billy answered] That s the one thing Earthlings might learn to do, if they tried hard enough: Ignore the awful times, and concentrate on the good ones. (117) But ignoring death and its suffering is exactly what Billy should not be doing, Vonnegut suggests. To do so makes him, like the Tralfamadorians, alien and inhuman. He has no sense of his own mortality, an awareness he needs in order to understand that, as Stephen Marten has observed, life is valuable not because it is infinite but because it is so scarce (11). Curiously, Vonnegut uses the Tralfamadorian idea that books, like life, should have no beginning, no middle, no end, no suspense, no moral, no causes, no effects (88). As he states on the title page of , his novel is written somewhat in the telegraphic, schizophrenic manner of the tales of the planet Tralfamadore (i). He points to characters doing the same as others that are usually described by others as special. Their mundane lives show that Wilder believes that lives are monotonous and that they need to be improved upon. By repeatedly showing similarities in the characters lives, Wilder conveys the message that humans live the same lives as each other because they are scared of change. The socio cultural cognitive theory of Lev Vygotsky emphasizes children s cognitive development cannot be understood apart from cultural settings, and social interactions and activities shape their ways to construct knowledge (Jahoda, Dagnan, Stenfert Kroese, Pert, Trower, 2009; Santrock, Mackenzie Rivers, Pangman, 2017; Woolfolk, Winne, Perry, 2016). The notion of the zone of proximal development (ZPD) is a well known concept of his theoretical framework (Santrock, Mackenzie Rivers, Pangman, 2017; Woolfolk, Winne, Perry, 2016; Ylvisaker Feeney, 2009). In the follow paragraphs, I will brief explain this concept, clarify how it closely relates to individual daily life, and discuss the limit of this notion with reflect on my personal experience. Vygotsky s concept of ZPD refers to the range of difficulties which children are unable to master alone, but they could solve independently if adults or more mature peers provide the appropriate support (Jahoda, Dagnan, Stenfert Kroese, Pert, Trower, 2009; Santrock, Mackenzie Rivers, Pangman, 2017; Woolfolk, Winne, Perry, 2016). In teaching, the ZPD typifies the theoretical space between what students already knew and what students are not ready to learn (Santrock, Mackenzie Rivers, Pangman, 2017; Woolfolk, Winne, Perry, 2016). Two borders of this space are represented as the lower limit of ZPD (e.g. the difficulties which children are able to master alone, what students already knew), and the upper limit of ... • 17. Death of a Salesman as a Modern Tragedy Death of a Salesman as a modern tragedy Death of a Salesman as a modern tragedy Death of a Salesman is typically classified as a modern tragedy. This implies that it follows the example of the classic Greek tragedies, Roman tragedies and Shakespearian and Jacobean tragedy. There are, however, subtle but vital differences between these forms. Aristotle s classic view of tragedy saw the form as one which only properly deals with the fate of gods, kings and heroes. In the twentieth century, such a restricted definition would consign tragedy to the waste bin of literary history. Consequently, in Death of a Salesman, Miller challenges this view and presents us with an entirely new one. Our increasingly secular world no longer believes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Miller s narrative form The fact that the story is told through both present events and Willy s versions of the past means that it is entirely self contained. All the essential details of his childhood, his life away from Linda and his sons and the mainsprings of his character are revealed so gradually that they are easily absorbed and understood. We are left in no doubt as to what is fact and what is fantasy in the frequent re enactments. The audience sees Willy s own accounts being neatly balanced by those of other characters. Miller s almost kaleidoscopic approach allows us to believe in, and be engaged by, the tragedy that unfolds in a way that would be difficult in a more traditional dramatic presentation. A straightforwardly chronological account would be both less interesting and less revealing than the juxtaposition of scenes Miller gives us. It is often the sidelights thrown on events by seeing them re enacted and hearing Willy draw conclusions from them that enables us to gain a clear picture of what happens. In this way, we are able to appreciate the scale of Willy s decline and his own part in it. Unlike the kings and heroes of classical tragedies, Willy is so fully fleshed, so human, that it is difficult not be fooled into believing he is a real person and not simply a character in a play. • 18. The United States Legislative Branch Of Government The United States legislative branch of government is best described as bicameral meaning of two houses where two governing bodies separately but functionally unitedly oversee the law making duties of the country. The two houses of the legislative branch are the Senate and the House of Representatives which both have distinct but crucial duties regarding key decisions affecting anywhere from individual districts to the United States as a collective entity. Members of the House of Representatives and the Senate (altogether called Congress ) belong to one of the two main American political parties; republicans or democrats. While a third party does exist they are substantially irrelevant in the current governing system. The third, independent, party does not achieve the popularity to be a representative heuristic of the people of America. By nature a democracy should reflect upon the needs and wants of the citizens of that democracy therefore bureaucrats in the House of Representatives and the Senate are appointed their seats in congress through direct election. The House of Representatives serves as a representation of the population of a single district; a district being an area of a state divided evenly among other districts in the state based on population results from the U.S. Census. The Milton Friedman Rule OTHER SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENT OR CONTRIBUTION IN ECONOMICS FIELD Other significant contribution or achievement of Milton Friedman in economy field is in economics scholarly. He had introduced a few of rule, function and hypothesis such as Friedman Rule, Friedman s K percent Rule, saving utility function and permanent income hypothesis. Friedman Rule Friedman Rule was proposed by Milton Friedman in 1969. This rule is about monetary policy. Money is anything that generally accepted as payment for goods and service, but it is costless to provide. So, money is valuable for consumers and businesses (Rognlie,2011). Friedman rule suggests setting the nominal interest rate at zero. This is due to the logic of opportunity cost of holding money by private sector which is nominal interest rate should equal to the social marginal cost which is creating additional fiat of money. This means marginal cost of producing additional fiat of money is zero. Thus, nominal interest rate practically is zero. Well, the real interest rate always is positive and this means we have a long term deflation. This also implies that central bank should make the rate of deflation same to rate of real interest. As the rate of deflation equal to the real rate of interest, people who hold the money would not loss in value of money when inflation happened. So while this step may have paved the way towards a floating currency, it was s step taken that also kept in place a way for tight government control and regulation. Then, in 2008 to help curb the effects of the global financial crisis, China s economy once again pegged it s currency to the U.S. dollar. Sometimes, minorities are looked down upon and just wish that they could be normal like the rest of the people they are surrounded by. In Persepolis, Satrapi was asked what race she was and lied in response to gain others respect and to be seen as an equal. In the graphic novel, the panel used at this time shows tense emotions by the action lines seen and the facial expressions. When she lies, the entire background is black and she looks sad. Satrapi does not maintain eye contact when she lied because she was embarrassed and knew she made a mistake. With the gutters between the scenes, we can assume how she is feeling after lying.
