Crafting an essay on the subject of "Custom Essays For Sale" presents a unique set of
challenges. Initially, one must navigate the delicate balance between promoting the idea of
custom essays as a legitimate service while addressing the ethical concerns surrounding academic
integrity. This requires a nuanced approach, as the writer needs to explore the reasons behind the
demand for such services without implicitly endorsing academic dishonesty.
Furthermore, delving into the intricacies of the custom essay industry requires meticulous
research. It involves understanding the various platforms that offer essays for sale, exploring the
motivations of both buyers and sellers, and critically examining the ethical implications involved.
This research demands time and effort to ensure a well-informed and balanced perspective is
presented in the essay.
Another challenge lies in constructing a coherent argument that addresses the potential
consequences of relying on custom essays. The essay should not only highlight the risks of
academic misconduct but also delve into the impact on a student's learning and personal growth.
Balancing the exploration of these consequences with an objective analysis of the industry's
existence requires careful consideration and thoughtful articulation.
Moreover, the essay should be cognizant of the diverse opinions on this topic. It should
acknowledge the varying perspectives on the necessity, legality, and morality of custom essays,

complexity, as the writer must navigate through conflicting viewpoints and present a well-
reasoned stance.

I stared down at my hands, trying to control the shaking. My breathing came out
slowly, if it came out at all. I felt like bursting into tears. I stared at the boards in
front of me. My head was spinning, and my mind was racing. I couldn t believe I had
missed that break.
I had practiced this break time and time again. It was my best break of all. Normally,
my foot went through the board like a hot knife through butter. I could break double
boards with that sidekick and not blink an eye or break a sweat. But now now that
everything was on the line, my foot jammed the board long before it should have

I stared at the board in disbelief. I knew the crowd was staring at me exactly the

clouded head, I silently took my seat at the back of the room with all of the other
candidates. I felt soft pats on the back and heard whispers in my ear: It ll be okay,
honey. You ll get it next time.
All that I could manage in response was a quick glance, a forced half smile, or a
simple nod. I knew that I couldn t speak. If I opened my mouth, all that would

Images Of The Virgin Mary Nursing Christ
1. What was the original function and significance of images of the Virgin Mary
nursing Christ (called Virgo Lactans, or Madonna del Latte)?
Images of the Virgin Mary nursing Christ were originally intended not as
pornography, but as visuals that depicted the nourishment of a child. The social
setting of when these images emerge helps explain why these images of exposed
breasts were perceived as tolerable. During the mid fourteenth century Europe
experienced a severe food crisis. With the fertilities rates increasing and the food
supply of the previous century depleting Europe was left to face severe famine. With
this in mind one can understand why the popularity of the image of the nursing
Virgin Mary grew at this time. The nursing Virgin Mary depicted an image of
nutrition and stability that appealed to the people living through this unpredictable
time (Miles 29). Aside from being an appealing concept to the people who were
facing wide instability it also provided the church a way to drive a message. The
church utilized this image as a way to promote breastfeeding among mothers. The
fourteenth century Tuscan child care manuals discussed in Mile s text explained the
need for this breastfeeding propaganda. The manuals were designed to warn mothers
of the dangers of feeding their children milk from animals, and of wet nurses. Popular
preachers even took it upon themselves to push the message of breastfeeding in their
sermons. Bernardino of Siena urged maternal suckling in his

This is important because it gives them price differentiation. Dollar General and
Family Dollar prices vary according to the product. Similarly, Wal Mart conveniently
operates with low prices to cater its demographic, but it cannot operate in as many
locations. . If a firm has lower costs than its rivals, other things being equal, it will
outperform them (Satterwhite, 2006).
Logically, Dollar Tree business model enriches the customer experience. Its stores are
strategically located near low income neighborhood and are conveniently open to
cater its customers. Competitors such as Dollar General and Family Dollar have
similar stores, but they do not have price differentiation and market power.
Nonetheless, Dollar Tree acknowledges its market power; its competitors, Wal Mart,
Dollar General, and Family Dollar have an uphill battle to reach Dollar Tree business
model. Moreover, Dollar Tree product differentiationgives them an additional
leverage over their competitors. As mention earlier, Dollar Tree sells its entire
product for $1 or less. They accomplish this by purchasing a variety of products
from private vendors at wholesale prices. In contrast, its competitors purchase brand

Are you a literary festival virgin? Are you clueless about what to wear and expect?
Have no fear, I am here to help. I too was a lit fest virgin until recently when I
unexpectedly embarked upon something that has made me look at literature
differently.
I m a student at Newman University in Birmingham and honestly, when I heard the
words literary festival my heart sank to somewhere not appropriate to mention (it
begins with b and ends in um ). I panicked before the events, on my first event, I
didn t know what to wear. Did I go classy and middle class or put on my best Miss

my jacket was screwed up in my bag and my hair was mostly in my mouth. So
instead I just went with big fluffy comfort clothes and my paper and pen. Turns out,
that you can wear what you like. So that is exactly what I did for the rest of my time.

automatically thinks of the cardigan brigade , middle class men and women fawning

In the movie, there are signs saying either no prawns or no humans and the humans
show a major sign of xenophobia towards the prawns. In this day in age we see a lot
of hatred towards foreigners, in particular, terrorists. In the beginning of the movie
you see Blomkamp interviewing the humans about the prawns. They show a great
level of hatred and disgust for the prawns intruding on their town. In the real world,
we see this same form of hatred or disgust from certain people about the immigrants
and refugees intruding on and taking over many American s jobs. Blomkamp wants
to push the issue that there is great hatred throughout the world today. The main
reason he produced the film in Johannesburg was because there were high tensions
between native south Africans and Zimbabwean refugees. He wanted to try to make
the town he grew up in great again. Blomkamp wanted to open people s eyes with the
use of science fiction to show that in some ways we treat other humans like the
humans treated the prawns.

The Influence of Locke and Hobbes on Government
Thomas Hobbes and John Locke have authored two works that have had a significant
impact on political philosophy. In the Leviathan by Hobbes and Two Treatises of
Government by Locke, the primary focus was to analyze human nature to determine
the most suitable type of government for humankind. They will have confounding
results. Hobbes concluded that an unlimited sovereign is the only option, and would
offer the most for the people, while for Locke such an idea was without merit. He
believed that the government should be limited, ruling under the law, with divided
powers, and with continued support from its citizens. With this paper I will argue that
Locke had a more realistic approach to identifying the human characteristics that...

This absolute Sovereign will gain power when the citizens have given up the entirety
of their rights to this new authority and agreeing to a covenant. This is considered a
rational action, and is the only option for the body of people to smoothly come
together. When that happens, an organized society forms, in which the consequences
of not adhering to the rules and regulations of the covenant will be so severe, that no
one would attempt to violate this contract and disobey the Sovereign. That can
happen since first, the Sovereign has deadly force and is permitted to use it whenever
he or she likes, and, second, the citizens have parted away with all their rights, and
cannot protect themselves from this Sovereign. That fact creates a fearful, and
therefore, obedient society. This limitless Sovereign is justified, based on information
from the Leviathan. As we can infer from Hobbes views on human nature, people will
always act selfishly and in an evil manner to obtain the things that they want. As a
result, for people to contract into a peaceful society that will have what they want and
need readily available, they must be bound by force. If this distrustful group of people
had an inclination that the governing authority was weak, they would overturn it,
fatefully returning them to the state of nature. Additionally, this absolute monarchy is
considered warranted, according to
Summary Of All Summer In A Day
All Summer In A Day by Ray Bradbury is a short story about a girl named Margot
and her experiences on the planet Venus. Margot moved to Venus from Earth when
she was 4 years old, old enough to remember the sun. On Venus, the sun only comes
out every 7 years for a couple hours, other than this, it s always raining. The other
children on this planetbullied Margot, they were mean to her because she could
remember the sun, and they didn t. One lesson the story suggests is that when you
don t think about your actions, it can lead to regret and guilt.
Throughout the story, the children were jealous of Margot and bullied her. Bradbury
says, They surged about her, caught her up and bore her, protesting, and then
pleading, and then crying, back into a tunnel, a room, a closet, where they slammed
and locked the door. They stood looking at the door and saw it tremble from her
beating and throwing herself against it. They heard her muffled cries. Then, smiling,
they turned and went out and back down the tunnel, just as the teacher arrived. This
paragraph illustrates how mean the children were to Margot and how they acted so
quickly without really thinking about what they were doing. When the children did
this they acted out of jealousy and hurt Margot, without even knowing it. This is a
reason why you should always think before you say or do something; sometimes we
can get wrapped up in our own jealousy and hurt someone.
After the the children hurt Margot they felt terrible and guilty. In the story it states
They stood as if someone had driven them like so many stakes, into the floor. They
looked at each other and then looked away...They could not meet each other s
glances. Their faces were solemn and pale. These couple short sentences tell us how
the children looked after they remembered Margot, by knowing this, we know how
they felt. Before, all of the children teamed up and shoved her in a closet, then the
sun came out and they had a great time playing outside together. After 2 hours the sun
was gone again and the children finally remember about Margot, when this happened
each of them felt tremendously guilty. This a a reason why you should always be
kind to others, because no matter what you will hurt them and

Greek Vs. Greek Art
Ancient Greek stands in an important position in the art history. Classical and
Hellenistic period are the most impressive periods of Greece. There are many
values of Greek s culture become the fundamental principle of today s civilization
especially for the weatern society. Greeks created the concept of democracy and
make a huge contributions in the fields of science, literature and art. Moreover, the
Greeks also imagined their gods into humans and their humans into gods. The
Greek ideal is to become a perfect individual and the representation of attractive
human beings. It became the focus of the artists in Greek. Greek ideal is one of
the most important cultures of Greece and it has a great influence of Greek
religion, philosophy and society. The art work of Archaic, Classical and
Hellenistic Period have proved that Greek has achieved their lofty goals in many
aspects of their civilization. According to the Idealism in Greek Art written by

the highest standards of brilliance. They are very enthusiasm to be perfect and they
expressed the perfection of human being into three aspects which are the body, mind
and spirit. The ancients Greeks went to the gym
A Rose For Emily Old South Analysis
In William Faulkner s A Rose for Emily, the author exemplifies the Old South in the
character of Emily Grierson. He uses decay to show how the South deteriorated
after the Civil War. Emily represents the refusal of the Old South to let go of the
time honored traditions and adapt to the changing culture. Even when Emily
desperately makes an attempt to move forward, the other devout traditionalists hold
her back. In A Rose for Emily, Faulkner weaves decay through the story to show the
eroding of Ms. Emily and the traditions of the Old South. Ms. Emily lives in a house
that had once been white, decorated with cupolas and spires and scrolled balconies,
on a street that at one time had been the select street of the town. The house that at
one time displayed the splendor of Southern style sits in isolation, intentionally cut off
from the outside world, and therefore now suffering without its support. Emily
secedes from the New Southern society, and locks herself in, with Tobe the servant

NARRATIVE CHRISTOLOGY IN LUKE 17:11 19
In Luke 17, Jesus is somewhere along his journey to Jerusalem when he encounters
ten lepers in need of healing. As is expected, he heals them and sends them away.
However, the story takes a sudden shift toward the unexpected. One man returns. The
man s identity is even more unexpected. Luke halts the story to inform readers that he
is a Samaritan, a foreign breed. The Samaritan falls at the feet of Jesus, worshiping
God, and his faith saves him.
On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. And
as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance and lifted
up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. When he saw them he
said to them, Go and show yourselves to the priests. And as they went they were
cleansed. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising
God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus feet, giving him thanks. Now
he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered, Were not ten cleansed? Where are the
nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?
And he said to him, Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well (Luke
17:11 19 ESV). It is clear that this pericope contains much more than a simple
miracle story or lesson in gratitude. It gives rise to questions about Jesus s location,
salvation, and identity. This narrative proves to be the
Hamlet s Descent Back Into Madness In Hamlet
William Shakespeare s Hamlet is a complex text that details the failing mental status
of a young prince. Hamlet s antic disposition is all part of a diluted plot to exact
revenge of Claudius and shifts in severity based on the characters Hamlet is
surrounded by. The clinical definition of insanity explains that the person suffering
cannot distinguish between fantasy and reality. Given the fact Hamletmanipulated his
illness he cannot be ruled insane as he was mentally aware of his reality and used his
insanityto get ahead. Therefore Hamlet was not insane but instead faking his illness to
warp others views of himself.

Forty thousand brothers Could not with all their quantity of love Make up my

that we were mad (V. i. 270 272). Hamlet s descent back into madness was done in
order to ensure his revenge plot be carried out. However, he does not remain mad
the rest of the final act when Hamlet states, Hamlet: Give me your pardon, sir. I have
done you wrong; But pardon t, as you are a gentleman, he is signifying the end of his
feigned madness and looking to start anew (V.ii.3863 3864). Hamlet s growth
throughout the play is overlooked as in the beginning of the play he was a broken
prince on the edge of a cliff but as the play progresses he gains the confidence and
is able to face others without the guise of madness but instead as himself. However,
Hamlet s confidence is short lived as he dies along with most of the main characters
via poison.
Hamlet was a tragedy that highlighted the trials and tribulations of nobility and the
treachery of power. The play showcased an unstable Prince seeking revenge using
his insanity as a weapon. Hamlet was never actually mad but instead acting, using
his insanity in his favor and manipulating everybody he came across. Hamlet was a
chess player but instead of moving game pieces he moved people into the correct

Plea Bargaining Pros And Cons
What is Plea Bargaining? Plea Bargaining is the pre trial arrangement, which happens
in a criminal methodology. Amid this system, the respondent and has his lawyer sits
on one side, and the prosecutor is on the other. The litigant either consents to argue
blameworthy or no challenge to a wrongdoing. Another component for plea
bargaining would likewise be because the respondent uncovers data, for example, area
of stolen merchandise, names of others taking part in the wrongdoing or affirmation
of different crimes, for example, a series of robberies. Consequently, a decrease in
charges, or rejection of a few charges, this must be endorsed by the judge, before

Still sometimes, prosecutors might be persuaded that they have the correct
respondent and a totally precise charge with respect to what crime(s) he or she
carried out, but secure a conviction might be flawed. This obviously is valuable for
the two sides to mastermind a determination of the issue without either side taking the
risk that the body of evidence may conflict with them if it somehow managed to go to
trial.
It was likewise demonstrated in 1998, which 92 percent of the cases exhibited were
returned by Manhattan terrific juries. Measurement appears to help pundits claims
that the fantastic jury is minimal more than an elastic stamp...The lion s share of
postulations cases are settled through request assertions; less than 10 percent really
get to trial, and of those, the Manhattan District Attorney s Office guarantees a
conviction rate of 75 to 80 percent (Berger 31).
In spite of the fact that request bartering might be valuable, there are a few people
that may feel that there are issues related with it. Steven Silberblatt states, to be
deliberate inside the significance of the Fifth Amendment an announcement by a
criminal respondent must be a result of through and through freedom, unrestricted by

Literary Devices In The Swimmer

Literary Analysis of The Swimmer
In the short story, The Swimmer, John Cheever uses precise literary devices to
emphasize the true meaning behind what the average reader might first gather.
Throughout this short story, Neddy s journey is recorded through what he does and
how the time changes. His actions of jumping from pool to pool show Neddy s
incapabilities of growing up and the falsehood that he lives in. John Cheever wants
the readers to understand that Neddy s life is only a downfall as the years go by,
and that his outlook on life doesn t change until he realizes all his actions have left
him alone. To set the tone of the story, the author uses metaphors of different objects
to show Neddy s changes in life, change of diction to set a tone from excellence to
weakness, and Neddy s life paralleled through the imagery described in this short
story. Cheever uses metaphors throughout The Swimmer to cleverly explain to the
audience without actually saying how Neddy s life really turned out. The most
profound metaphor throughout this short story is the swimming pool. The pools that
Neddy swims through represent the periods of time that occurred in his life and how

Barbie and cultural aspects: Diffusion and failure
Originating from the concept that different ethnic groups can have their very own
stereotyped ideals of beauty, in a strategy of expanding the global reach of Barbie line
to different cultures, Mattel came up with multi cultural Barbie, i.e. Barbie with
different backgrounds, for instance: the coloured Barbie was warmly greeted in
African, American, Hispanic, and Indian cultures. However, there was
controversy over approaches of Mattel in other markets, of which cultures
traditional Barbie dolls were not compatible with. Drawbacks were clearly seen in
Mattel s business in several overseas markets, to name but a few, ban on Barbie in
Malaysia due to its lack of Asian appearance; Barbie confistication in Iran because
of its non Islamic features (Ferrell 2007, 484), which go against their religion in
terms of women s image; Barbie rejection in China, a
Oscar Zeta Acosta, A Strong And Honorable Man Essay
His appearance combined with the time and place he lived in made many things in
his life difficult to accomplish but it also made him, Oscar Zeta Acosta, a strong
and honorable man. Starting with the fact that there was a lot of racism, drugs and
violence going on while he was growing up. Violence especially was a big issue. In
those days, firearmswere owned by anyone who either had the money or knew a way
to get it and most of the times they fell into the wrong hands.
Q: Hello Mr. Acosta, How are you doing this fine sunny day?
Acosta: Hi, I m actually doing good, aside from the unsupportable pain my goddamn
ulcers cause me. I swear there are times in which I can t stand the fucking pain.
Q: I m sorry to hear that Mr. Acosta, but moving on to other matters, as you can
probably see, there are many issues concerning many aspects of the economy and
politics but for now, I would like to focus on firearms and the many problems it s
causing not just here in California but in the United States as a whole. And so I
would like to ask you for your sincere and honest opinion on the matter.
Acosta: Yes, unfortunately there are still many issues happening at this very moment
and one of them is in fact the possession and usage of firearms and of course I will
answer and give you my honest opinion regarding this topic.
Q: Well first I would like to inform you, if you haven t heard so already, about the
massive school shooting that there has been in various schools ranging from

Gender, Gender And Gender Equality
This essay will look at Gender discrimination in an Australian prospective with
some overseas perspectives overlapping this essay will look at gender deference s
in pay in Australia and discuss the ideas and arguments surrounding gender
equality in the work place. Gender equity in work place is still a heavily
understudied in Australia and as is more or less worldwide. In Australia a country
of so called equality which is still, even in the 21st century is an ambiguous and
questionable ideal as seen by the lack of changes since implementation to close the
gap. Moves towards equality have been great back in the 70s though after there has
been little change and a gap averaging up to 25% from then and now, which is a
cause for concern.
The workforce before 1970 has had a gap of pay between the genders that is that of a
significant amount. It was until the early 1970s the gender pay gap in Australia was
wide, and was kept that way by institutionalized gender wage discrimination , as
claimed by Paul Miller (1994, p.371). That was until the equal pay decisions for
women in 1969, 1972 and 1974 put an end to the discrimination and closed the gap
significantly (e.g., Gregory and Duncan, 1981; Borland, 1999), but of course the
gap remained. At the end of the 1990s it was looked at again from 1980s and 1990s
it was found that the pay gap ranged from about 8 percent to 25 percent (Borland,
1999, p. 267).
Borland in their studies observed that discrimination in general in an

will cause frivolous lawsuits in an already overly litigious society. 33 The impact
from this cost can harm landlords bottom line affecting their chances from receiving
loans from banks and access to credit. 34
There are possibilities for a frivolous lawsuit, but the severity of the housing crisis
trumps frivolous lawsuits that are unlikely to make it to trial. The proponents of the
frivolous lawsuit argument are similar to the voting ID argument. It is unfounded
that voting ID fraud is rampant, however, the chances of this happening is less than
1%. 32 One percent is a nominal figure that does not raise a situation to code red and
allows for the disenfranchisement of whole sections of voters. Similarly, the
possibility of a nominal number of frivolous lawsuits brought by indigent litigants
should not disenfranchise the right to representation in housing court. Most
importantly, there safeguards and screening put in place to reduce the chances of
frivolous lawsuits. For example, attorneys must listen and evaluate a case using their
legal knowledge to determine if a case is meritless or not. In addition, the court and
the judge must examine the case and can make a determination if the case is
meritless or not. Moreover, landlords bring eviction cases, not tenants.35 Therefore,

How Texting Has Brought Upon The Modern English
Language
David Crystal s news article, 2b or Not 2b , address issues in direct contradiction to
John Humphrys article I h8t txt msgs: How texting is wrecking our language , which
sought to bring to focus the havoc that texting has brought upon the modern English
language. Pointing out that, while texting has been a change largely impactful on the
English language it poses no threat and should not be considered as such. Using
examples throughout history to prove that abbreviations in wordand language is
something that has been used for centuries. Furthermore, Crystal explains that such

Although there is much criticism directed towards millennials and younger
generations when it comes to texting, Crystals makes it clear that text like
abbreviations have been used in English for centuries. Acronyms such as LOL,
LOML, BRB (laugh out loud, love of my life, be right back) can be dated back to
1618 at the introduction of the term IOU in place of I owe you . The history of
abbreviations can be dated back to Anglo Saxon tribes. Humphrys argument poses
that texting poses a threat to literacy in our society, Crystal refutes this by giving
examples of how word alterations and abbreviations similar to that of texting have
been used for centuries by those with an adequate understanding of language for
sake of brevity and creativity. In addition, Eric Partridge published a Dictionary of
Abbreviations in 1942. Containing many text like examples, such as agn again ,
mth mouth , and gd good . Symbols and number in writing have been used for a
long while as well. There are called rebuses and they have been used since the
middle centuries to create puzzles, surnames, or conventional representation. Not
only is the use of these abbreviations that we see in texting something as old as the
English language itself, the criticism associated with is is also something that is as
equally ancient. Crystal (2008) explains:
English has had abbreviated words ever since it began to be written down. Words

My Ferrari Essay
It was half past seven in the morning and I had a busy day ahead of me. I got into my
Ferrari 360 spyder; put my bag on the passenger seat.
I started the engine, put it into gear and made my way to the airport, with the roaring
sound of the Ferrari behind me.
I had to go pretty fast because I had to be at the airport before my flight left. As I
approached the entrance to the airport, I made my way to the runway.
There was a barrier across it so that it would be blocked of for other customers. He

Examples Of Manipulation In The Crucible
Let either of you breathe a word, or the edge of a word, about the other things, and
I will come to you in the black of some terrible night and I will bring a pointy
reckoning that will shudder you. Abigail Williams has said this quote during Act I
of The Crucible to the other girls caught dancing in the woods. Abigail is a
seventeen year old who has taken charge of the Salem Witch Trials. Abigail and I
portray common traits such as manipulating others, self centered personalities, and
leading many girls. The first trait that Abigail and I associate with is manipulating
others. During The Crucible Abigail manipulates the girls caught dancing in the
woods and the people of Salem. While she bullied the girls into not telling the truth,
Abby also kept the people of Salem invested in the idea of witchcraft in the town.
Although no one has died by my form of manipulation, Abigail and I share this trait.
My parents sometimes fall into my manipulating ways and my latest action has dealt
with crying in order to get concert tickets. Another time I can be seen manipulating
others is when I ask my friends for gum or food. Normally I will bring up a time
when I gave them something, even... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Crucible shows Abigail being self centered by killing many people only to
save herself and running away with all of her uncle s money. While I have not
been as self centered as Abby, I may be found to act in a selfish way. Considering I
am an only child, I only think about how I feel in some cases like making plans
with friends and doing what I want to do. Although my parents never fail to put a
stop to my bad behavior, I sometimes find the habit as a part of my traits. This trait
also kicks in for me when I make my own plans without taking my parents into
consideration. Since I do not have my license yet it becomes a problem when they
have to put their night on hold to drive me

My Sister s Keeper by Jodi Picoult explores the medical, legal, ethical and moral

The author presents many ethical dilemmas when a couple chooses to genetically

However I feel that Brian and Sara forgot to focus on what could be better for Anna
when the time came for her to live her own life. At first Anna was experiencing
psychological altruism which sometimes motivated her to put Kate s interests
ahead of her own. As Anna grew older she realized that the donations were at her
own expense and she wanted to be free. Everyone, including children has the right
to act in one s own best interest. Therefore if Anna felt that she was not living to
her best ability because of her connection with Kate then this egoism should be
respected. This contrasts her mother, Sara s psychological egoism, because she
was acting in her own interests to save Kate. In this case, what Sara finds
acceptable for Anna is negligent against Anna s autonomy. The character of Sara
is most adamant that it is in Anna s best interests to act as a donor for Kate.
However I do not think she meant for Anna to be at the mercy of her sister. I think
she was only intent on doing what had to be done to keep her family intact by
preserving the life of Kate. Sara believes that the social, emotional and
psychological best interests of a person depend upon the happiness in the family in
which they grow up in. This gives the idea that Anna s best interests and welfare are
closely tied to those of her family, who
Aztec Environment Changes
Throughout history people have changed their environment to meet their needs
these changes have had both positive and negative effects on people, societies, and
regions. These change to the environment are needed first for the aztecs because the
aztec built their capital in a middle of a lake then they had to expand but they could
not feed all the people so when they built chinampas it help the aztec give more food
to their people. That did not feed all their people so The Aztecs also implemented

farming. In the valleys irrigation farming was used. Dams diverted water from
natural springs to the fields. This allowed for harvests on a regular basis. the ancient
Christian Kingship
The king must be able to take charge of the appointed persons while also working
to limit the wickedness of the people subject to him (Aquinas 115). He must also
protect his people. A kingship, more specifically a Christian kingship, is able to
meet the temporal and spiritual needs of the people. This provides for a healthier,
longer lasting, and better liked government. Christian kings are able to move beyond
ensuring that their people have the basic necessities needed to live. They also have a
greater incentive to ensure the happiness of those they rule over because their
personal reward of happiness, which is given my God, is directly affected by the
people s satisfaction. This reality keeps the king somewhat reliant on the people which

This allowed for the better understanding of individuals in society, to a certain
extent. The Church also was able to take up the role of checking the state to ensure
that it was not allowed to too harsh or aggressive to the people.
Christianity was able to reconnect the bonds of sincerity and justice which had
been broken as people distanced themselves from the Church and the mindset that
the Church was able to instill in its believers (Bede 32). When service to God was
voluntary, the beliefs were more effective in altering how a person chose to act and
understand the world because the individual desired this way of life and also did not
resist those in charge.
The way that Christian kings were portrayed shows that this compassion that
followed being part of or appreciating the Church caused rulers to be less feared and
more respected due to their altered ways of ruling. The cohesive nature of the Church
and state working in unison caused people to live better lives under the crown and
while living amongst each other due to this new understanding or exposure to

Military Leadership
Within the U.S. military, leadership is generally considered something of a given. It
is a fundamental ingredient of warfare, without which the outcome of a combat
operation cannot be assured. The leader is the brain, the motive power of command,
upon whom subordinates rely for guidance and wisdom, and depend upon for good
judgment. The leader must be determined, unflappable and charismatic; confident in
delegation of authority; able to combine the various strands of command into a
common thread; seasoned, intelligent, and thoughtful.
When judging the qualities of leadership, there is a tendency to think of the gifted, or
natural leader, involving some expectation that leadership is an inherent personality

Army Staff College, and the Naval War College. Historical examples of military
success and failure featured prominently in their curricula, on the assumption that
trial‐and‐error under combat conditions was a poor method of inculcating
leadership skills. Lessons learned in the classroom were then effected in map and
field exercises. The expectation was, and still is, that non‐combat training would
provide a fund of practical knowledge upon which a commander could use as a point
of departure under battlefield conditions.
For the educational reformers, emulation was key, although they admitted that
talent was also valuable. Raw talent, however, was no substitute for its disciplined
application. Considering the growing complexity and lethality of war, education
was regarded as the surest means of directing talent toward the desired end. Yet the
question of native ability remained; could those without it become effective
leaders? A problem reformers grappled with was the difference between leadership
and command; they are not the same thing, for not all commanders are good
leaders, and not all leaders are good commanders. During the Civil War, Gen.
George McClellan, for example, was a truly inspirational leader who won the total
devotion of his troops, yet consistently failed to achieve decisive victory in battle.
Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, on the other hand, was an excellent commander, to whom few

the show will ultimately end. Another assumption that I find myself making is that
most female animecharacters are portrayed in a sexual manner. It is a rare sight in
modern anime to find an anime without an overly explicit female character. In

The Importance Of Bringing Little House To Television
Little House on the Prairie is one of the most beloved television series of all time
and is based on the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder which were
published between 1932 and 1943. In an interesting note, Wilder originally set out
to write an autobiography aimed at an adult audience but couldn t find a publisher,
so she ended up using the material from her autobiography to write the Little House
books. Bringing Little House to Television Walt Disney expressed interest in
bringing the Little House books to television as far back as the 1950s, but his
production people convinced him that the books were too complicated to be made
into a television series. In the early 1970s, Ed Friendly became interested in bringing

but they already had The Waltons and didn t want another rural show. Friendly
then contacted Michael Landon and asked him if he would direct the pilot movie
should any network end up expressing interest. Landon had starred in Bonanza
until it was cancelled in 1972. He was under contract to do another series for NBC,
but didn t like any of the ideas they had come up with. He read the pilot script, had
his children read the books and then told Friendly he would like to direct and play
the father, Charles Ingalls. Friendly agreed and said NBC probably wouldn t have
been interested without Landon s involvement. Karen Grassle, Melissa Gilbert,
and Melissa Sue Anderson were cast as Caroline, Laura, and Mary Ingalls, while
Carrie Ingalls was played by twins, Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush. Last but not least,

Theodor Herzl
Initially, Zionism was the major cause of the formation of the State of Israel. It was
established by Theodor Herzl in 1897 and later led by Chaim Weizmann. Mr. Herzl
was an assimilated Jewish lawyer from Vienna that fully understood the Jews. He
quoted once, Zionism demands for a publicly recognized and legally secured
homeland in Palestine for the Jews. This platform is unchangeable . The quote
means that Zionism was established to request and achieve a homeland for the Jews
in Palestine and that no one can stop this from happening. Basically, this proves that
Mr. Herzl was a very supportive man towards the Jews and He understood what they
needed. In 1894, Mr. Herzl was sent to France to investigate on the life imprisonment

Media And The Reporting Of Hurricane Katrina
Media and the reporting of Hurricane Katrina For this discussion we were asked to
answer a question in regards to Hurricane Katrina. The question that we were to
answer was: After reading the article, what were our thoughts and opinions about the
article?
Thoughts and opinions about the article
The article is exactly what this learner expected, especially after living through
Hurricane Andrew that hit Miami, Fla years ago. So, when this learner reads the
article it was exactly what she expected from the media after such a major disaster
like hurricane Katrina.
When there s a disaster like this, the media expect a lot of looting, lack of response
to the disaster, victims in need of rescue, and even death. But if the media does not
believe it is sensational enough, they will create or as this learner likes to call it lie
about the facts to gain the attention they need to create ratings for their news stations
no matter what, because good news does not catch the viewers attention nor does it
help their ratings, but bad news is a attention getter, and will help raise their ratings,
and maybe even put them in line for The Alfred I. duPont Columbia University
Awards for reporters. The other things that they did not see too much of was the
lawlessness or looting, so they exaggerated the severity.
This learner wonders why they thought there would be a massive amount of looting.
There area was flooded, even if they found anything where would they take it? They

My Favorite Career
Hello my name is Haiden and today i will be telling you about my favorite career.
My favorite career is the auto mechanic. The auto mechanic works on cars correct .
Well to me i love cars. Cars are just awesome machines. Cars can get us from point
A to point B. Unless you break down. That s where i come in. If you break down or
get stuck i can come and help you get out of that pickle. Shure auto mechanics do
more than just fix cars we also modify cars for example. From what i just told you
is sounds pretty fun but there are also the times where all you get to do for a day is
sit in a workshop and just inspect cars, But when you get someone who hates doing it
themselves the you can have some fun installing parts and other stuff like a turbo or
two. That is why i like the mechanic career. What would i be doing in this career
you might ask well like i said in the last paragraph. If you break down or get stuck i
can come and help you get out of that pickle. Shure auto mechanics do more than
just fix cars we also modify cars for example. From what i just told you is sounds
pretty fun but there are also the times where all you get to do for a day is sit in a
workshop and just inspect cars, But when you get someone who hates doing it
themselves the you can have some fun installing parts and other stuff like a turbo or
two. That is what we do in the mechanic bizz. The education needed for this career

Romantic Illusions Of War By Paul Baumer
Even though War is necessary for imperialism to develop and capitalism to
flourish, Paul and his friends voluntarily joined the army only after hearing the
grandstanding patriotic words of their older generation. Not realizing the truth
would cost entire generations of men across nations their lives. Paul Baumer
shares terrifying experiences of himself and fellow soldiers, as they awaken from
the deceptive tales of glory and honor as told by Prof. Kantorek, who ended up
drafted. They enlisted on the ideals of nationalism and patriotism when the truth of
war is an endless supply of physical and mental exhaustion. It is less than glorious
or honorable, to live in the trenches with corpse rats , lice, and dead carcasses as
expressed by the characters. The novel an antiwar statement explores the romantic
illusions of war through brotherly bonds of young nieve men; by forgoing any
instilled nationalistic pride while engaging in a journey of enlightenment via the
terror A romantic notion is how communities see the sacrifices of soldiers, but in
reality, these boys lose a piece of their identity each time one of them dies. Painted
as courageous heroes who become loyal to the cause and protective of its necessity
perish without a second thought to the powers that be. The novel shows a lack of
honor in this war, hidden and unrelatable to its participants until it is too late. Hence,
the romanticised idealism over the truths of combat as told by Prof. Kantorek, fade as

Candle Color Lab
Does the color of a candle affect how quickly it burns?
I always look for candles to burn at dinner parties or to give a soft light into a room,
I always felt that my white candles burned much quicker than those that are colored.
I believe that the lighter color candles will burn quicker than the darker colored
candles. During this experiment I plan to compare the difference in candles and the
length of which they burn based on the color of the candle. Does the color of the
candle make it burn at a different rate? To conduct this experiment I picked five
different colored candles that were all the same brand, type, and length. (White,
yellow, red, maroon, and a forest green) I set a timer for one hour and thirty minutes.
With the help of friends,

Begin of 1975 Khmer Rouge (pol pot) got the chance to control the whole nation and started to evacuate all the rich and educated residents from the capital city (Phnom Penh) to live in every far villages from the city. • 5. Images Of The Virgin Mary Nursing Christ 1. What was the original function and significance of images of the Virgin Mary nursing Christ (called Virgo Lactans, or Madonna del Latte)? Images of the Virgin Mary nursing Christ were originally intended not as pornography, but as visuals that depicted the nourishment of a child. The social setting of when these images emerge helps explain why these images of exposed breasts were perceived as tolerable. During the mid fourteenth century Europe experienced a severe food crisis. With the fertilities rates increasing and the food supply of the previous century depleting Europe was left to face severe famine. With this in mind one can understand why the popularity of the image of the nursing Virgin Mary grew at this time. The nursing Virgin Mary depicted an image of nutrition and stability that appealed to the people living through this unpredictable time (Miles 29). Aside from being an appealing concept to the people who were facing wide instability it also provided the church a way to drive a message. The church utilized this image as a way to promote breastfeeding among mothers. The fourteenth century Tuscan child care manuals discussed in Mile s text explained the need for this breastfeeding propaganda. The manuals were designed to warn mothers of the dangers of feeding their children milk from animals, and of wet nurses. Popular preachers even took it upon themselves to push the message of breastfeeding in their sermons. Bernardino of Siena urged maternal suckling in his

  • 10. The Influence of Locke and Hobbes on Government Thomas Hobbes and John Locke have authored two works that have had a significant impact on political philosophy. In the Leviathan by Hobbes and Two Treatises of Government by Locke, the primary focus was to analyze human nature to determine the most suitable type of government for humankind. They will have confounding results. Hobbes concluded that an unlimited sovereign is the only option, and would offer the most for the people, while for Locke such an idea was without merit. He believed that the government should be limited, ruling under the law, with divided powers, and with continued support from its citizens. This absolute Sovereign will gain power when the citizens have given up the entirety of their rights to this new authority and agreeing to a covenant. This is considered a rational action, and is the only option for the body of people to smoothly come together. When that happens, an organized society forms, in which the consequences of not adhering to the rules and regulations of the covenant will be so severe, that no one would attempt to violate this contract and disobey the Sovereign. That can happen since first, the Sovereign has deadly force and is permitted to use it whenever he or she likes, and, second, the citizens have parted away with all their rights, and cannot protect themselves from this Sovereign. That fact creates a fearful, and therefore, obedient society. This limitless Sovereign is justified, based on information from the Leviathan. As we can infer from Hobbes views on human nature, people will always act selfishly and in an evil manner to obtain the things that they want. As a result, for people to contract into a peaceful society that will have what they want and need readily available, they must be bound by force. If this distrustful group of people had an inclination that the governing authority was weak, they would overturn it, fatefully returning them to the state of nature. Additionally, this absolute monarchy is considered warranted, according to
  • 11. Summary Of All Summer In A Day All Summer In A Day by Ray Bradbury is a short story about a girl named Margot and her experiences on the planet Venus. Margot moved to Venus from Earth when she was 4 years old, old enough to remember the sun. On Venus, the sun only comes out every 7 years for a couple hours, other than this, it s always raining. The other children on this planetbullied Margot, they were mean to her because she could remember the sun, and they didn t. One lesson the story suggests is that when you don t think about your actions, it can lead to regret and guilt. Throughout the story, the children were jealous of Margot and bullied her. Bradbury says, They surged about her, caught her up and bore her, protesting, and then pleading, and then crying, back into a tunnel, a room, a closet, where they slammed and locked the door. They stood looking at the door and saw it tremble from her beating and throwing herself against it. They heard her muffled cries. Then, smiling, they turned and went out and back down the tunnel, just as the teacher arrived. This paragraph illustrates how mean the children were to Margot and how they acted so quickly without really thinking about what they were doing. When the children did this they acted out of jealousy and hurt Margot, without even knowing it. This is a reason why you should always think before you say or do something; sometimes we can get wrapped up in our own jealousy and hurt someone. After the the children hurt Margot they felt terrible and guilty. In the story it states They stood as if someone had driven them like so many stakes, into the floor. They looked at each other and then looked away...They could not meet each other s glances. Their faces were solemn and pale. These couple short sentences tell us how the children looked after they remembered Margot, by knowing this, we know how they felt. Before, all of the children teamed up and shoved her in a closet, then the sun came out and they had a great time playing outside together. After 2 hours the sun was gone again and the children finally remember about Margot, when this happened each of them felt tremendously guilty. This a a reason why you should always be kind to others, because no matter what you will hurt them and

As is expected, he heals them and sends them away. However, the story takes a sudden shift toward the unexpected. One man returns. The man s identity is even more unexpected. Luke halts the story to inform readers that he is a Samaritan, a foreign breed. The Samaritan falls at the feet of Jesus, worshiping God, and his faith saves him. On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance and lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. When he saw them he said to them, Go and show yourselves to the priests. And as they went they were cleansed. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered, Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner? And he said to him, Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well (Luke 17:11 19 ESV). It is clear that this pericope contains much more than a simple miracle story or lesson in gratitude. It gives rise to questions about Jesus s location, salvation, and identity. This narrative proves to be the

Gender, Gender And Gender Equality This essay will look at Gender discrimination in an Australian prospective with some overseas perspectives overlapping this essay will look at gender deference s in pay in Australia and discuss the ideas and arguments surrounding gender equality in the work place. Gender equity in work place is still a heavily understudied in Australia and as is more or less worldwide. In Australia a country of so called equality which is still, even in the 21st century is an ambiguous and questionable ideal as seen by the lack of changes since implementation to close the gap. Moves towards equality have been great back in the 70s though after there has been little change and a gap averaging up to 25% from then and now, which is a cause for concern. The workforce before 1970 has had a gap of pay between the genders that is that of a significant amount. It was until the early 1970s the gender pay gap in Australia was wide, and was kept that way by institutionalized gender wage discrimination , as claimed by Paul Miller (1994, p.371). That was until the equal pay decisions for women in 1969, 1972 and 1974 put an end to the discrimination and closed the gap significantly (e.g., Gregory and Duncan, 1981; Borland, 1999), but of course the gap remained. At the end of the 1990s it was looked at again from 1980s and 1990s it was found that the pay gap ranged from about 8 percent to 25 percent (Borland, 1999, p. 267). The proponents of the frivolous lawsuit argument are similar to the voting ID argument. It is unfounded that voting ID fraud is rampant, however, the chances of this happening is less than 1%. 32 One percent is a nominal figure that does not raise a situation to code red and allows for the disenfranchisement of whole sections of voters. Similarly, the possibility of a nominal number of frivolous lawsuits brought by indigent litigants should not disenfranchise the right to representation in housing court. Most importantly, there safeguards and screening put in place to reduce the chances of frivolous lawsuits. For example, attorneys must listen and evaluate a case using their legal knowledge to determine if a case is meritless or not. In addition, the court and the judge must examine the case and can make a determination if the case is meritless or not. Moreover, landlords bring eviction cases, not tenants.35 Therefore, indigent litigants cannot increase

The history of abbreviations can be dated back to Anglo Saxon tribes. Humphrys argument poses that texting poses a threat to literacy in our society, Crystal refutes this by giving examples of how word alterations and abbreviations similar to that of texting have been used for centuries by those with an adequate understanding of language for sake of brevity and creativity. In addition, Eric Partridge published a Dictionary of Abbreviations in 1942. Containing many text like examples, such as agn again , mth mouth , and gd good . Abigail and I portray common traits such as manipulating others, self centered personalities, and leading many girls. The first trait that Abigail and I associate with is manipulating others. During The Crucible Abigail manipulates the girls caught dancing in the woods and the people of Salem. While she bullied the girls into not telling the truth, Abby also kept the people of Salem invested in the idea of witchcraft in the town. At first Anna was experiencing psychological altruism which sometimes motivated her to put Kate s interests ahead of her own. As Anna grew older she realized that the donations were at her own expense and she wanted to be free. Everyone, including children has the right to act in one s own best interest. Therefore if Anna felt that she was not living to her best ability because of her connection with Kate then this egoism should be respected. This contrasts her mother, Sara s psychological egoism, because she was acting in her own interests to save Kate. In this case, what Sara finds acceptable for Anna is negligent against Anna s autonomy. The character of Sara is most adamant that it is in Anna s best interests to act as a donor for Kate. However I do not think she meant for Anna to be at the mercy of her sister. I think she was only intent on doing what had to be done to keep her family intact by preserving the life of Kate. Sara believes that the social, emotional and psychological best interests of a person depend upon the happiness in the family in which they grow up in. This gives the idea that Anna s best interests and welfare are closely tied to those of her family, who

The leader must be determined, unflappable and charismatic; confident in delegation of authority; able to combine the various strands of command into a common thread; seasoned, intelligent, and thoughtful. The expectation was, and still is, that non‐combat training would provide a fund of practical knowledge upon which a commander could use as a point of departure under battlefield conditions. For the educational reformers, emulation was key, although they admitted that talent was also valuable. Raw talent, however, was no substitute for its disciplined application. Considering the growing complexity and lethality of war, education was regarded as the surest means of directing talent toward the desired end. Yet the question of native ability remained; could those without it become effective leaders? A problem reformers grappled with was the difference between leadership and command; they are not the same thing, for not all commanders are good leaders, and not all leaders are good commanders.
