Custom Essay Reviews
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Custom Essay Reviews" can be both challenging and
intriguing. The difficulty arises from the intricate nature of the topic, requiring a delicate balance
between objective analysis and subjective interpretation. The process involves delving into the
world of custom essay services, evaluating their merits, drawbacks, and the overall user
experience.
One of the challenges lies in the extensive research required to gather accurate and up-to-date
information on various custom essay providers. This involves navigating through a plethora of
online platforms, reading customer testimonials, and critically assessing the reliability of these
reviews. The abundance of subjective opinions and potentially biased perspectives adds another
layer of complexity to the task, demanding a discerning eye to separate genuine insights from
promotional content.
Moreover, constructing a coherent and well-structured essay involves synthesizing diverse
viewpoints and presenting a comprehensive overview of the custom essay landscape. The writer
must be adept at weaving together different threads of information, offering a nuanced analysis

insight can be a tightrope walk, as the essay needs to be informative while also engaging the
reader with a unique perspective.
In addition to the research and analytical aspects, the writing process itself requires a high level
of proficiency. Crafting sentences that are not only grammatically correct but also eloquent and
persuasive is crucial to convey the depth of understanding on the topic. This task demands a keen
awareness of the audience, as the essay should cater to both those familiar with custom essay
services and those approaching the subject for the first time.

Argumentative Essay On Coal
Coal, the rock that burns the ozone layer and keeps the lights on for millions of
Americans to see everyday. The bigger question at hand is will coal run out in the
near future, or will there be more to come? Coal has been used for over three
thousand years when first used by the Chinese, but if they have been using coalfor
over three thousand years, then why are we just now arguing over when the coal
will run out or not. This is because of two things, how long it takes coal to form and
what will we do if it runs out. Coal is a renewable energy source for many reasons,
it doesn t take as long to make coal as previously thought, coal is being formed right
now under us, and that there is still coal to be found. You might have been taught...

Sonar is very accurate in its readings for things to a certain distance underground,
but that doesn t mean that there isn t coal under that range. GPR, ground
penetrating radar, is used to detect things underground from high frequency waves
and can register up to a thousand meters at most, for air, but even if that was the
ground instead of air that it can detect that far down still doesn t mean that there
isn t coal under there because coal can even be found farther than that. The main
reason that there is more coal to still be found though is that the Earth is huge!
Everyone knows that, but that means that no one ever has been able to know
where everything is underground, so that means that there is still a ton of coal to
be found still yet uncovered or even known of. But all of coal underground is just
there and if no one knows of it, we can t get to it since we don t know where it is,
so coal will run dry and the only way for us to keep up with the demands is to have
this 36 week coal to form all the time, but it can only form under rare, special
conditions which makes the chance of it forming so it is non renewable. This is
entirely true, but where there is a demand, there is a supplier which means if all of
the known coal runs out, that people will try to find the rest of it while the rest
replenishes itself. Coal is a thing that drives the turbines to gives at least millions of
Americans jobs and electricity every single day, why would we hurt
Apple Search Warrant
Multi billion dollar companies, Apple and Google have brought the attention of
security on their devices, by upgrading them 10 fold, basically changing it out for a
military grade protection. Rendering it almost impossible for anyone even Apple
and Google themselves to break in, hack, or even crack the code of any of their
devices. Apple had stated, as the new operating system becomes widely deployed
over the next several weeks, the number of IPhones and IPads that Apple is
capable of breaking into for police will steadily dwindle to the point where only
devices several years old and incapable of running iOS 8 can be unlocked by Apple
(Timberg). When FBI Director James B. Comey got an ear full of this nonsense, he
struck back at the companys,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But now its making the use of a search warrant for devices, basically impossible,
sending police and FBI agents into a tail spin. The sole purpose of a warrant is to
gain access to a highly suspected criminals information without any need of the
persons permission. Warrants are not easy to come by either, it takes quite a while
to obtain one, you must first have tangible evidence that a person is committing a
crime, then you must present it to a judge and convince them to sign the warrant,
which inter makes it legal. The same process goes for a federal warrant. Apple
said. that it is making it impossible for the company to turn over data from most
iPhones or iPads to police even when they have a valid search warrant (Timberg).
So basicly hindering the law passed about 5 months ago in the Supreme Court. The
other question it raises is that, the 4th amendment clearly states, the right of the
people to be secure in their own persons, houses, papers, and effects, against
unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall
issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly
describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized , even with
probable cause , Apple still won t allow law enforcement to enter the phones, which
inter is going against the fourth amendment s
Analysis Of The Movie The Play Guy
The first shot in the sequence is when Guy has just finished a set against his
opposition and takes a sip of water. Guy looks up the official time. This scene has an
emphasis on time. Guy is concerned and held up by his tennis match, while Bruno
has to reach for the lighter in the grate. The two characters who seem to be very
methodical in their normal actions are now acting on instinct. The tennisannouncer
points out that this is a game that Guy has never played and is known for doing
slow play. The audience knows about how Bruno acts methodically by his calm
demeanor during the carnival murder scene and his nonchalant attitude when
dealing with Guy s acquaintances. This is a parallel between the two characters
that Hitchcock makes. Showing that just because Guy is a civilised man and
aspiring politician doesn t mean he isn t capable of murder just like Bruno. This
idea of Guy killing is plausible throughout the whole movie and adds to the suspense
of the film. The audience could want this from either morbid curiosity or maybe to
humanize Bruno more, honestly there are endless reasons. The tennis match itself,
is also a parallel between Guy and Bruno with sport being a big theme in their
relationship. Bruno makes a deal with Guy to exchange murder. This exchange when
offered kind of seems like a sort of sports proposition. With both of them gambling
their lives and the obvious idea of killing a human is ultimate game. They both go
back and forth in their interactions.
Hip Hop, A And Creative Aspect Of Music
Breaking through in the heart of the Bronx, Hip Hop was designed to empower and
teach the youth, while providing them an outlet for creative expression. Developed
on five essential pillars, all working towards: giving African Americans knowledge
that they didn t have access to, inspiring them to read and acquire true knowledge of
self, and to understand the role that self has in America in relation to the actual worth
of self. Since the inception of Hip Hop, the genre has evolved through the times while
transcending new depths aligned with its original pillars.
An innovator in a sense, DJ Kool Herc founded Hip Hop by the early 70 s. MC s,
DJ s, breakdancing, graffiti and music encompass the five pillars of Hip Hop.
Modern inversions interpret these pillars in many different ways. Prevalent
through all major cities, graffiti evolved to the murals on the side of buildings, and
the creative aspect of music videos. Artists have visions interpreted in the way they
decide to imagine their visuals. Breakdancing has become the advance dance crazes
that sweep the nations. People in Japan are hitting the Nae Nae because of Hip Hop
s mass globalization. MC s are the talk show host and commentators of award shows
and hosts of events and red carpet specials: media. Dispersion of Hip Hop through
channels that connect Blacks across different scopes happens through the media.
Modern day DJ s introduce the new music with sets that keep nightclubs jumping
from dawn to dusk. Displaying the

Pollution In Oceans
Right now there is way too much pollution in the oceans. Fish population is going
down, coral reefs are dying and the oceans are becoming unswimmable. Too much
trash is being dumped into the oceans. 8 million pounds of trash is dumped into the
ocean each year. Pollution in the oceans also affects the fishpopulation. Since the
1960 s the fish population has decreased by 75% because of pollution.Sea creatures
are mistaking the trash for food and eating plastic There are many sea creatures that
are endangered. Like blue whales, sea turtles, sea lions and many more. There are
also a number of coral reefs dying that our a big role in our ocenas. To save these

Simpson raises how the issue of trespass (4) is dealt with in relation to the resilience
indigenous animals of the echo horror film genre. Drawing off James Lovelocke s
(2007) comments on how earth is a dynamic living organism, as a self regulating
evolving system in which everything is interrelated (James Lovelock, 2007) (44).
Simpson s article denotes how the exploitations of echo horror has a lot to do with the
social issues (Simpson,2007, pp. 44).The way these animals are illustrated within the
genre drives viewers to acknowledge more culturally, plural forms of being such as
the effect of human environmental destruction (55) and what it means to the
indigenous occupants.Simpson matins theses clams throughout the article with
examples of Australian natural predators; such as Crocodiles, Snakes, and Dingo s.
Many Australian films convey its countries environment to be unpredictable and
somewhat hazardous, its occupants can be when disturbed, stressing the effect of
how dangerous they can be if one is unacquainted with the Australian environment
and the animal s capabilities (47). From this example, Simpson suggests that anxieties
that local humans may have been transcribed through animals (46) by a culture shift.

The Problem Of African Trypanosomiasis
African Trypanosomiasis is also known as sleeping sickness. It is important to
understand that African Trypanosomiasis is a vector borne parasitic disease with a
geographical distribution limited to the African continent where the disease is
predominant. The parasites concerned are protozoa belonging to the genus
Trypanosoma (WHO, 2008). The disease is transmitted by the bite of a tsetse fly,
which has acquired their infection from human beings or from animals harboring the
human pathogenic parasites (WHO, 2008).
Human African trypanosomiasis(HAT) occurs only in sub Saharan Africa in regions
where tsetse flies are localised, without tsetse flies, the disease cannot be transmitted.
For the disease to be transmitted it is necessary to have the presence of someone
infected or infected animals in the community and tsetse fly (WHO, 2008).
HAT is among the most serious Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD). If untreated it
is invariably fatal, with gambiensese form generally causing a chronic disease
leading to fatal squeal after some years(Checchi et al, 2008).
Over 60 million people are living in 250 locations are at risk of contracting the
disease, and under 10,000 new cases were reported in 2009. Occasionally, a pregnant
woman can pass the infection to her unborn baby. In theory, the infection can also be
transmitted by blood transfusion or sexual contact, but such cases have rarely been
documented (CDC, 2012).
The closely related African animal trypanosomiasis (AAT)
Characteristics Of Deep-Sea Creature Adaptions
Deep Sea Creature Adaptions Deep Sea creatures in the Bathypelagic Zone and lower
must adapt to survive. Adapting to this harsh environment didn t take only a few
years, this process has occured over millions of years and will continue to occur.
Some characteristics that the organisms adapted are things like: the ambush strategy,
extended spines, smaller sizes, deep sea giantism, bioluminescence, transparant skins,
large mouths, large teeth, large stomachs, large eyes, slow metabolic rates, lateral
lines, hermaphroditism, and chemosynthesis. Scientists are still searching in the deep
sea because for organisms still not discovered. All of these adaptions contribute to the
survival of deep sea creatures in the low pressure, temperature, and low food source
environment.
Bathypelagic Zone Adaptions 1,000 4,000 (3,000 13,000 ft) meters deep in the
ocean where there is a total abscence of sunlight. The large, dark ocean lessens the
chance of animals catching prey. This zone has the greatest temperature changes
compared to the other zones, it contains thermocline, which causes water
temperatures to change dramatically with depth. In this wide ocean, all organisms
do not have the energy to endlessly search for food, forcing many organisms to
adapt to a strategy called The Ambush Strategy , which is when they sit and wait
for prey to get closer and they attack them when the food when they re close
enough, they have also adapted to having a long dorsal spine that floats above its
head with a photophore which acts as a fishing pole to bait other animals. An
example of this sort of fish is called the Deep Sea Angler. Animals in this zone also
adapted to be smaller in size because they are entirely made of water with no air
space due to high pressures. If they had air space inside of them, the open space in
their body would crush them completely. The pressure of the Bathypelagic Zone is
800 times greater than the surfaces pressure. This is the cause of their less
developed internal organs, small eyes, thinner skin, smaller sizes compared the
animals in the Mesopelagic and Epipelagic Zone, which are located above the
Bathypelagic Zone. If humans were to go down to these depths we d be crushed, this
is caused by all
John Lewis Turning Points
The Turning Points of John Lewis Life In the book March: Book One and Two, the
main character John Lewis takes part in the civil rights movement in 1960 s.
While it s true that many events in his life did not increase his devotion to the civil
rights movement and religious beliefs, I believe that John Lewis s beliefs and
determination were reinforced by the turning points in his life. I believe the gift of
his bible helped him grow stronger in religion, which helped him bring a sense of
connection to the civil rights movement through Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. s
words. Through that he started going to nonviolent workshops where he learned
more about nonviolent protests, which started him on the road to joining the civil
rights movement. This eventually pushed him to join the freedom riders. While
growing up, John Lewis led a fairly simple life. He grew up on a chicken farm with
his mother, father, and his brothers and sisters. His first time really getting into
religion was when his Uncle gave him his first bible for Christmas when he was
four .His mother would read it aloud to him. He said, I ll never forget my mother
reading aloud to me the first words of that book, In the beginning, God created the
heaven and the earth, . (Lewis and Aydin 1:26). When he turned five years old and
learned how to read on his own, he began reading the bible all of the time. He
began to preach to his chickens every night, and even gave his chickens his own
version of a baptism. The more he did this, the more he realized that he wanted to
become a preacher when he became an adult. One morning in 1955 John Lewis was
listening to the radio when someone unfamiliar came on. He continued to listen to the
sermon, this unknown person was giving, feeling like it was directed towards him.
He had felt personally touched by that sermon, and caught the name for the preacher
at the very end. The radio announcer says, So thank you, and again, you just heard
Martin Luther King Jr. (Lewis and Aydin 1:55). After that, he began to take more
notice about the world around him. Blacks were not treated as equals in the south.
This started him on the path of wanting to do things about the civil rights movement.
John Lewis became
Role Of God In Iberian Conflict
God as an Observer to Iberian Conflict Throughout the accounts of war in Iberia,
both Christians and Muslims alike call upon God to grant them favor, strength, and
protection as they charge into battle. Where they differ on the subject is typically
ingrained in the belief that only one form of worship is correct for the monotheistic
deity, and in doing so use Gods invocation to justify the Christian and Muslim
invasions. However, God himself does not intervene with the conflicts, but rather
plays a role as an observer to the conflict whose name continues to be mentioned
despite his lack of contributions to said wars. In this paper I will argue that God is an
omnipotent observer to the Iberian conflicts between Christians and Muslims, in
which... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, during the Umayyad campaigns when territories were taken by the
Muslims it s described that Castles and fortresses quaked as though death had rushed
upon them, [...] / their hearts, publicly recognizing obedience, unanimously agreed to
join the Islamic community, which suggests that the military conquest was the
reason for the conversion, not God as the Muslims believed (The First Campaign
Undertaken by the Prince of the Faithful, 80 82). Because the denizens of the lands
converted, they were spared from further death and destruction, and so it begs the
question: if God was going to have them convert at the end of the battle, why would
he not have them convert before innocents were killed? Therefore, it seems that God
once again is merely observing the developments as the Umayyad Caliphate expands,
and he has no particular favor with Islam or Christianity because if he did he probably
would have shown a sign to either religion or saved them from death. In the same
way, El Cid justifies his conquests by declaring that I win battles as it pleases the
Creator, and both Moors and Christians fear me, which suggests that God favors no
side in the conflict as he allows El Cid to plunder the countryside of its wealth (Cid,
153). This also establishes that God observes El Cid s conquests and victories, does
nothing when his followers The Moors called on Muhammad
The European Convention On Human Rights
With a number of recent high profile court rulings and a major new Regulation in the
works, data privacy has become a cause cГ©lГЁbre within the European Union (EU).
The size and connectivity of the European market means that shifts in its regulatory
framework ripple with major consequences for global business. The EU s latest
attempts to legislate in this area are a consequence of shortcomings in the design and
implementation of the existing system of data collection, retention and safeguarding.
While the existing system was designed to protect the private sphere from state
intrusion, it ultimately created a system that punishes business.
Background
After World War Two, the protection of individual rights became a central pillar of the

Measures intended for the protection of privacy morphed into a lever against the
private sector in tax compliance and foreign investment.
Impact of Enforcement and Harmonization
The 1995 Directive gave the EU institutions considerable power over the Member
States. Every Member State was required to create a Data Protection Authority (DPA)
to monitor compliance with data protection legislation. The DPAs enjoy extended
access to a large part of business information, handle claims from customers or
agencies, and initiate legal action against non compliance.
While this may increase consumer feelings of security relative to businesses, it
comes at the cost of privacy relative to the government. Financial institutions face a
heavy set of regulations to fully comply with the Directive. International monetary
transfers from the EU are covered under the Directive in Article 25 since such
transfers concern EU citizens data. These transfers are specially scrutinized because
of privacy concerns in other countries. However, many Member States, worried
about the economic effects of creating obstacles for foreign companies, allow the
transfers to occur even when they suspect a violation. While some transfers require
only the consent of the individual whose data is being transferred, others must be part
of approved Standard Contractual Clauses or require
The Environment And Governance Of Modern Cities
The topic of ecological sustainability can be complex or simple, depending on the
many factors that take place. In living systems, being sustainable means to produce
more than to waste. By creating something sustainable, it assures that the resources
can be recycled and will be available for people in the future to meet their needs. In
terms of modern cities, the sustainabilitydepends on how much minerals and energy
we bring into the city(water, energy), and how we use them effectively for our
health and community, while keeping the available resources from depleting. Not
only that, the sustainability also depends on the cities form and infrastructure to
support an average citizen s daily needs. With the politics and governance of
modern cities, how viable are plans of creating a sustainable city now? Is it
possible? Many nations have already agreed that it is an important and influential
issue, with harsh consequences if not tackled. The situation of a city and its flaws
also depends on if the cities are in the third world, or in a rich nation. A sustainable
city needs to be environmentally worthy, have a suitable infrastructure for all and
should be well run. These characteristics can only be achieved by proper governance
and the collective effort of the citizens. The essay discusses the importance of
environmental sustainability and some of the widely known issues of urban and rural
sustainability around the globe and possible solutions and preventions.

Essay about Case Study
Jan and Ken Case Study

two ways that Ken could open this conversation more productively. For instance,
clearly expressing his emotions and using I language. Ken could have approached
Jen in a different, less confrontational tone. Perhaps if he had asked her do you have
a minute? Jan would have felt as though her time was valuable. The biggest issue
that Ken had is that he opened using you language. You language assigns blame and
seem judgmental. Rather than expressing his feelings clearly, Ken accused Jan
without giving her an opportunity to explain her side of the story. A better approach
would have been the use of I language, for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Clearly identifying their emotions and moving to look for a resolution to the
conflict. Using the voice response approach would address the issue directly. It does
not focus on anger and pointing fingers but rather looks to resolve the issue because
it gives each party the opportunity to express their viewpoint. This approach like the
loyalty response ensures the other person that you care about the relationship and are
seeking to preserve it. 4. Review the eight conflict management skills discussed in the
text. Identify three examples of these skills in the dialogue between Jan and Ken.
Finding three conflict management skills in this scenario was somewhat difficult
simply because their discussion was not successful. However, there were attempts to
use the check perception skills, relationship meaning and looking for points of
agreement. The conversation between Jan and Ken was clear they were speaking to
each other as friend and their messages were in tune to that perspective. Ken made
an attempt to check perception when he asked Jan, if she was trying to get payback
for his decision to inform her dad about her wanting to leave school. Checking
perceptions is important to try and grasp the other person s point of view. Also, Jan
made an attempt to find a point of agreement when she brought the

female rate in wok is 40 percent of the global. However, before changing, many
female s life was different. Male s rights and power oppressed female s. It is

The History of the iPhone
By selling 8.8 million handsets in the first quarter of 2010, the Apple iPhone has
become the most widely sold mobile phone in the US. Read on to peep into the
history of this fast selling device.
History and Development iPhone s history began when Steve Jobs instructed Apple
Inc s top engineers to investigate touch screens and create the iPhone. The
development of this device started nearly a decade before it came to the markets in
2007. In 1999, Apple acquired the rights to the domain name iphone.org. Several
years later the Apple chief announced that they were opting to invest in advanced
mobile handsets. Again in an interview in 2002, Steve Jobs mentioned that Apple

Criticism
The iPhone has been so well received device by the public because it provides
innovative and revolutionary technology. But this doesn t imply that it s immune to
criticism. It has been openly criticized by consumers and industry professionals for
its poor battery life. The JD Power and Associate consumer satisfaction survey gave
Apple a low grade on battery life. In response, Apple started replacing the
malfunctioning batteries for free. Most recently, consumers have been complaining
about the iPhone s antenna problem. The metal bands surrounding the iPhone 4 also
act as antennas for reception. When the user grips the phone towards the bottom, it
drops the signal. Steve Jobs has responded to this problem by offering free bumper
cases to iPhone 4 users.
Impact of the iPhone
The iPhone is the most innovative phone of all time. It s a trendsetter. Whenever a
new iPhone model hits the market, hundreds of buyers stand outside cellular stores
waiting for hours to get their hands on the device. It is a remarkable, all in one
technological device geared towards the general public and it is still hugely popular.

The Natural Disasters Of Hawaii Essay
Natural disasters in Hawaii When we ask people what they think about Hawaii,
they will probably say paradise, ocean, holiday and beach. However, the islands
are accessible to some kinds of natural disasters, such as earthquakes and volcanoes
that I learned in Geology class. No one will recognize that the Hawaii is the island
most likely to feel it. Volcanoes and earthquakes are natural hazards in Hawaii
especially earthquakes that have great destructive potential and its have destroyed
many other places in Hawaii and killed hundreds of people. There are many
differences between volcanoes and earthquakes. These two types of natural
disasters can compare or contrast to each other. They are different in three things:
the geology, the process, and the effect, but volcanoes and earthquakes are related
it. We need to predict and reduce the damage of the natural disaster in Hawaii, so we
have to know more details about. As humans being living on earth we all faced to a
natural disaster of some sort. Earth is compounded of huge blocks, or tectonic plates,
that constantly move and slide past one another. These plates enhance energy as they
move, known as boundaries, generating a fault plane. When plates slide away from
each other, the stress and heat from the earth s core can strength magma up through
the gaps. When plates bump, they can produce the strong impact that causes pieces of
the Earth s crust to crash inbound. The caved in crust becomes overheated and pushed

The Performance Of The Symphony
Barenboim s Beethoven s 9th was a BBC production of the Beethoven s last
symphony. The buildup to the final performance is great and this is partly explained
by the fact that Beethoven s 9th was different in that it contained song and chorus.
Daniel Barenboim will be conducting the West Eastern Divan Orchestraat the Royal
Albert Hall. The hall is beautifully decorated for the occasion. The main theme of the
symphonyrevolved around the human conditions and unity (Swafford, 2014).
I think the performance of the orchestra was above average. I enjoyed all aspect
from when the conductor was welcomed by members of the orchestra to when the
choir joined towards the grand finale. Both the orchestra and the audience played
their role exceptionally. I watched the orchestra play over and over trying to grasp
the meaning of every movement while enjoying the choral. By looking at the
members of the large orchestra I could tell they were eager to please. Also the fact
that they had rehearsed gave them confidence which was fully in display.
On the day of the rehearsals, I see people everywhere (on the orchestra and audience
setting) mingling with each other and the murmurs take over the hall. The orchestra
is about to begin rehearsing for what will be the last symphony. I notice that the
orchestra is composed of young and older people of different ethnicity. Even the

The Effects Of Media Violence On Violent Entertainment
Discussion
The attraction or appeal of violence in media entertainment is a topic that has
received consistent but quiet academic attention, while the effects of media violence
continues to draw primary focus from the public and scholars alike. This
discrepancy perhaps lays in the difficulty of the question or rather the reality of the
question; how can the same people who develop, and by and large, abide by
established moral and criminal codes condemning violence choose to engage in
violent films, television programs and video games and actually enjoy it? Several
theories have been posited; some with more merit than others, since non fictional and
fictional violence first hit the small (and big) screen.
Research has shown that personality is a significant contributing factor to the
enjoyment of violent entertainment. This is an important finding as it not only
distinguishes between those who enjoy violent entertainment and those who do not
but also draws attention to the different reasons why different people enjoy violent
entertainment. The identification of trait aggression and anti social tendencies as
predictors for enjoyment of violent entertainment is especially important. Given the
widely accepted positive correlation between exposure to violent entertainment and
aggressive or violent behaviour the current finding should encourage further research
into practical and clinical recommendations to mediate the attractiveness of media
violence to people already

Homeland Security And Homeland Defense
Introduction
Since the September 11, 2001 events, the United States of America gravitated
towards a more aggressive approach in its security. The result of the tragic events was
the establishment of homeland security. The White House, the federal government
and the Congress joined together to establish it. On September 20, 2001, President
George W. Bush issued an executive order 13228 to establish an Office of Homeland
Security within the White House and assigning the Governor of Pennsylvania, Tom
Ridge as its Director (Bullock, Haddow, Coppola, 2013, p. 4). Ever since, the
United States (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security diversified and evolved the
way it is today. The Homeland Defense was also integrated into Homeland Security
to protect the U.S. soil and its territories. However, what are Homeland Security and
Homeland Defense? This paper will address those question as well as covering their
missions/goals, tasks, duties, and responsibilities. In addition, a section of this paper
is the assessment of the critical infrastructure protection programs of the U.S. The
assessment will also include the overall capability of the nation s critical
infrastructure protection program to ensure the survivability of its critical
infrastructure.
Homeland Security There are numerous definitions of homeland security. The
definitions can create confusion on what homeland security really do. One definition
of homeland security that it is easy to understand is according
Multistep Synthesis Chemistry Experiment
Multistep Synthesis of Tetraphenylcyclopentadienone
In this laboratory experiment a synthesis was performed through several separate
steps. The purpose of the experiment was to synthesize tetraphenylcyclopentadienone
from benzaldehyde and to run reactions on carbonyl containing compounds. There
was a total of three steps that led up to the synthesis of the final product,
tetraphenylcyclopentadienone. The first step of the experiment was the condensation
of benzaldehyde to yield benzoin. Thiamine catalyst along with water and ethanol
were added to the benzaldehyde, then NaOH was added until the solution turned
yellow. After recrystallization, the product was benzoin. Step two was the oxidation
of benzoin to benzil. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The pipet was put into the top of the condenser and leaving no open spaces. The
vacuum served to get rid of the nitrogen oxide gases that were formed during the
oxidation reaction. The solution was heated for 30 minutes, beginning the time
when the first sign of nitrogen oxide fumes were observed. After the 30 minutes,
the solution was removed and cooled for a few minutes. The solution turned was a
brownish yellow color and all the crystal were dissolved, leaving a liquid. The
solution was then transferred, using a Pasteur pipet, to 3 mL of water in a beaker.
The reaction flask was rinsed to remove the remainder of the solution. The solution
was stirred with a glass rod until room temperature of the solution was achieved. A
yellow solid was to form, but instead the solution remained aqueous in the case of
the specific experiment explained here. With additional scraping of the solution
with a glass rod, no crystals formed at all. The next procedure, if the crystals had
formed was to crush the solid with the glass rod and filter the solid until the
crystals were dry. The mass would then be weighed and the crystals were to be
recrystallized with 95% ethanol. The crystals were to be cooled in ice water to get
full crystallization and then the crystals were to be filtered and air dried, then
weighed.

Fathers are the most important part of the family as they take care of the children
when they are growing up, and they work day and night to pay for their studies
and all of the other expenses. They remain the guardian of the children until their
deaths. They are also the most sincere persons to their children. They suffer all of
their life to ease the life of their children and save them from the hardships that they
experience in their life. Children feel safe in the presence of their father in their
childhood. Moreover, fathers also sacrifice the most important things in life for the
betterment of their children. These are all of the reasons that the most of the brands
are targeting the feelings of compassion and love of the fathers for their children
nowadays. Toyota has also linked the relationship between the father and the children
in a very touchy way that it left everyone speechless in the super bowl who witnessed
their advertisement. The product of the ad was the newly launched model of the

How to Motivate Fred Maiorino
Fred Maiorino had been a successful sales manager for Schering Plough
Corporation for thirty one years before Jim Reed was named general sales manager
over the South Jersey sales district that included Fred s sales territory. Afterwards,
Reed implemented several changes to try to boost sales including a new performance
appraisal system and a hands on coaching style to motivate his salesstaff. The
problem arose with Reed s inability to motivate Fred (Buller amp; Schuler, 2003).
In this case study, we will compare and contrast both the ineffectiveness of Jim Reed
s methods, as well as more favorable methods he could have used to influence a more
positive outcome.
The major issue is this case is Reed s inability to motivate Fred, ... Show more content

Most of the people with whom Fred worked in the medical community felt he was a
pleasure to work with and he always used to be ready to help doctors or nurses
regarding any problem related to any tablet. So that makes them feel comfortable to
work with him.
Deep Knowledge of the Subject: Fred often provided necessary drug samples and
information regarding side effects of those drugs based on his prior experience and
knowledge. And several times his knowledge helped them a lot. His doctors and
nurses were highly influenced by his knowledge.
So from the above discussion it can be concluded that overall Fred had the ability
to perform successfully as a sales representative because he had a good combination
of knowledge and skills. In fact, in early 1987 he was recognized as the top sales
representative in Schering Plough and received several performance awards and
rewards.
Efforts of an individual depend on the motivational level. Efforts are the result of
motivation. This motivation can be internal or external. Intensity, Direction and
Persistence are three key elements of motivation.
If we look from the starting point of Fred s career his overall efforts to perform his
job were good he was performing his duties very well. He always used to be top
ranked sales representative, because at that time he had a comfort level with his
boss and so he was highly motivated with his boss and work. He used to put his all

The exact age of the Earth has long been an argument between those who believe
that God created the Earth for humans during the Creation Week, which is known as

it was created 4.6 billion years ago out of nothing, which is known as the Naturalistic

Exploration Of Exploitation During The 1970 s Generation
Exploration of Exploitation During the 1970 s Generation
The 70 s decade represented a very experimental and uncertain time for the film
Industry. Due to financial instability, the Hollywood studio system had collapsed.
The invention of the television too had a disastrous effect on audiences attending
movie theaters as many people were inclined to stay at home because they had
children and did not want to pay for a movie and a baby sitter. Artistic freedom was
on the rise though due to a dramatic change in censorship regulation the
abandonment of the Production Code and the decreased clout of the Catholic Legion

Opera Buffa Satire
Opera, as with any theatrical production is often indicative of some societal norm
or expectation. However, Opera Buffa, as with any satire generally reaches into the
outcasts of society to find humor in the contrasts with the norms . Interestingly,
these comedic teachings often turn into the norms of tomorrow. These can go from
political beliefs, drugs, clothing, hairstyles, relationships, anything that is different
than expected. To help better explain this let us look at a modern example. I Love
Lucy is a television show that showed humor with a whacky wife expanding her
horizons as she wandered into a world mainly for men. It is true that women had
been given the right to vote decades before but is wasn t until the need for more
female worker during World War II that women began to find their way out of the
home. It was the exploring of these boundaries that made part of the comedy.
We also find these explorations in Le Nozze di Figaro, a comedy that visited that
day and reached for the next. It was written in a time when serfdom and the
aristocracy were becoming obsolete. In fact, shortly after the writing of the
production the Holy Roman Empire was no more. The age of revolution was
beginning as the United States found its way out of aristocracy. England and France

In fact, some people credit Le Nozze di Figaro for starting the Revolution. While I
do not believe that Le Nozze di Figaro started the Revolution of the time, I do
believe that Mozart emulated the world and society around him to write his Opera
Buffas, specifically Le Nozze di Figaro.
The play in which Mozart based his Opera on was called Le Marriage de Figaro
written in 1778 by Pierre Beaumarchais. The play was considered so racy and
against the politics of the times that it was banned from the Viennese stage by King
Louis XVI. Mozart evidently studies Paisiello s handling of the same personalities
and included deliberate references to it. (Sadie 2000,

AC.1

certain population groups. It is suggested people of a lower socio economic group
are more likely to experience chronic ill health and earlier death expectancy than
those who are more privileged. The causes of health inequalities have been

Secondly the figures contained in this report have been obtained and analysed from
the year 2009 to 2011. It has also been updated and revised several times including a
revision of life (healthy) expectancy in November 2013. Regular updating and
adjustments of data increases the accuracy and relevance of the outcomes,
furthermore findings gain more validity and recognition.
Another advantage of this report is its use of quantitative research. The selection of
charts, tables and graphs are highly creditable in terms of measuring validity and
reliability. It provides data with precise and non bias numerical findings.
Additionally this report has been published by Public Health England and is part of
the Government s department of health. It is a government obligation to provide
public access to this report and others completed by the public health department.
This wide accessibility suggests that the data obtained has been greatly measured to
support its claims.
On the other hand some disadvantages of reliability can be identified. The data
provided on the life expectancy and healthy life expectancy from birth presents
difficulties in the consistency and replication of the findings. The figures are an
estimated average of new born mortality rate (2010 12) and cannot provide exact
figures of expected life span. The reason for this is because health prevalence and
mortality rate between areas are changeable. In
Leadership Management At The Air Force
1.Air Force has and will continue to face a constrained fiscal environment. Despite
this ongoing challenge, the expectations placed on Air Force as an organisation will
not lessen. Accommodating increasing fiscal pressures involves significant change;
however, failure to adapt to this change will impede the ability of Air Force to deliver
capability. A crucial element in enabling Air Force to accomplish its mission without
compromising its people is that of its leaders and their ability to manage both the
uncertainty of change and the expectations of both their superiors and subordinates.
2.This essay will briefly discuss the leadership role of squadron leaders in today s Air
Force and the concepts of advising upwards and guiding downwards. Additionally,
this essay will consider the overarching issue of managing people through times of
change. In discussing these issues the role squadron leaders in the Air Force have in
there successful execution or implementation into the workplace will also be
examined. Consequently, this essay aims to demonstrate that the leadership of
management at this level is not only necessary for managing expectations of superiors
and subordinates in general, but that it becomes essential in times of change.
THE ROLE OF THE SQUADRON LEADER

Identity
No person puts themselves in the same category as others, each person has different
values and perceives themselves completely different than everyone else. An identity
is the set of characteristics and the state of being that defines a person and makes
them unique. No one decides for themselves what they value; from birth everyone
has choices made for them. Parents choose how they want to raise their children and
where; all of which are factors that decide who each personis and who they become.
The factors that cause for differences in individuals vary, each person is introduced to
distinctive experiences that are unique to that person and allow for that individualto

However these expectations differ for age groups, race, and social order; and
being a people eager to fit in and be accepted, everyone is coerced into following
the norms and expectations set for them. Andrew Sullivan in his article , I Used to
Be a Human Being discusses the loss of a true identity to the new expectations of a
developing generation. The people of each generation allow themselves to be
changed and formed into the ideals of their society. Andrew Sullivan talks about
how each person of this new generation is expected to interact with each other in a
fashion so far removed from the past that these new pressures are only relevant to
the youth of the society. Having been born twenty years earlier saved people from
the pressures put on these individuals, seeing as the pressures were created after
the identities of the people were created. The pressures for each generation are
different than the generation that came before them, and with the new pressures
and expectations come a new type of people, people who value different things and
act in different manners. As new groups of individuals arise the new expectations
expectations, for how each person should act, rise with them. These people will
then raise their children who will grow up alongside an entirely different set of
norms than their parents had, bringing again a new type of people into society. Anna
Garvey in her article, The Oregon Trail Generation: Life Before and After
Mainstream Tech supports this idea. Having been part of a generation in between
new and old values, she got to see first hand how new environments create different
pressures and therefore cause individuals to conform and let themselves be changed
by what these new expectations call for. As an environment changes, the way in
which individuals interact with each other changes as well. The environment that a

Everyman Is A Morality Play
Everyman is a morality play that was written in the late fifteenth century, by an
unknown author. It is unknown who originally wrote the play. It has been said that
maybe Monks and Priests of that time wrote these types of plays. Therefore, it is
believed that the play was probably written by multiple people. Morality plays were
written to show people how they should act in the eyes of Godand how the way they
live their lives will affect them after death. Everyman seeks to persuade the
audience that the only way to get into heaven when they pass, is to be a good
person and to do good deeds for others. The author of Everyman wants the audience
to understand that the way they live their lives is how they will be judged by death.

Everyman has a very clear moral message. People choosing goods over good deeds.
Foneska (2007) states that the character of Everyman is a universal representation of
the human race and is obsessed with his physical appearance and money. Everyman
is a sinner who has turned his back on God. (pg.1) Ryan (1995) says that Everyman
sets out to show that charity is the highest of all virtues, and that caring for the sick
and poor by the people who have riches was the ticket to salvation and eternal life
(1995). Everyman is obsessed with becoming richer and gaining more material
things. God has become fed up with mankind and decides to send Death to teach
them a lesson:
GOD:
I perceive, her in my majesty, How that all creatures be to me unkind, Living
without dread in worldly prosperity: Of ghostly sight the people be so blind,
Drowned in sin, they know me not for their God: In worldly riches is all their
mind, They fear not my righteousness, the sharp rod. My law that I showed, when I
for them died, They forget clean, and shedding of my blood red; I hanged between
two, it cannot be denied; To get them life I suffered to be dead; I healed their feet,
with thorns hurt was my head. I could do no more than I did, truly; And now I see
the people do clean forsake me: They use the seven deadly (lines 25 35)
God summons Death and tells him to prepare Everyman for his death.
DEATH:
Animals And Animal Nature
Let there be light, Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of
the heavens from the waters of the earth. Let the waters beneath the sky flow
together into one place, so dry ground may appear. Let the land sprout with
vegetation every sort of seed bearing plant, and trees that grow seed bearing fruit.
These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.
Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to
mark the seasons, days, and years. Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth.
Let the waters swarm with fish and other life. Let the skies be filled with birds of
every kind. Be fruitful and multiply. Let the fish fill the seas, and let the birds
multiply on the earth. Let the earth produce every sort of animal, each producing
offspring of the same kind livestock, small animals that scurry along the ground, and
wild animals. Let us make humanbeings in our image, to be like us. They will reign
over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the
earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground. Be fruitful and multiply.
Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all
the animals that scurry along the ground.
The amount of words in the previous paragraph were enough for our God to create the
world, we read it in a matter of minutes but, why on earth (or heaven) would it take
our God seven

The Israel And Palestine Conflict And The...
For thousands of years, Israel and Palestine have fought over the land. Many wars
have taken place and several peace treaties have failed. At the root of the Israeli
Palestinian rivalry is a debate over boundaries and territories. Israel should have
sheer control of this land because they arrived here first.
Israel should own the land, including Jerusalem, because they occupied the region
first. In the beginning, God chose Abraham to protect the Hebrew people.
Abraham made an agreement with God. This agreement was that God would
protect Abraham and his descents if they would obey God. This is called a
covenant. After being forced into slavery, the Hebrews fled Egypt between
thirteen hundred and twelve hundred B.C. and the Jews call this the Exodus. The
man who led them out of Egypt was Moses. When they came to Canaan, they
formed twelve different tribes. When the Romans conquered the land, Israel had
no homeland, even though Jews were granted to reside there. They were forced
from their homeland in two different dispersions. One happened in 70 A.D. and the
other in 135 A.D. They were forced out by Palestinians in 135 A.D. After being
forced out, the Jews spread out in different countries and this was known as the
Diaspora. However, there was always a Jewish presence in the land. During the late
19th century and early 20th century, a group of Jews returned to this region. This
region consists of Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip. These people were
Zionists, or people

Effective Communication Pamela Clark CJS 304 April 30, 2012 Dr. Stephen A.
Morreale Communication is a two way process that takes practice and time to be
fully effective and is very important in every aspect our personal and professional
lives. We communicate every day of our lives both verbally or nonverbally. The
process of verbal communication is the exchanging information by transmitting an
idea, send that idea, receive feedback, understand the idea and the feedback and
provide feedback to the person who sent the message. The main components of
communication are context, encoder, message, medium, decoder, and feedback. The
context could be social, chronological, cultural, or physical. The individual sending

Formal communication is the channel that usually follows the chain of command.
This chain is often ran by formal orders, detectives, and written memorandums. In the
police organization these forms provide a sense of order and security. Using
excessive or exclusive communications however have certain disadvantages. One
disadvantage in strict adherence to formal channels can be both time and personnel
consuming. Memorandums must be drafter carefully ad must go through the chain of
command for endorsements and then must be forwarded to the correct personnel
according to departmental policy. Another disadvantage of formal channels is what
effect this can have on free flow of information. Using formal channels will require a
written record and many people hesitate to put their thoughts in writing because they
are intimidated, afraid of losing their job, etc., which restricts the flow of information.
However, using formal communications makes it possible for the officers to receive
new directives and information concerning crimes rather quickly. Formal
communication is less confusing and establishes a paper trail for legal purposes, if
the need arrives (Wallace amp; Roberson, 2009). Informal channels are the unofficial
route of communication within an agency. Informal communication has also been
labeled as gossip and should not be taken seriously until verified. Using informal
channels when time is critical actually can save time. Instead of going through the
chain

  • 2. Argumentative Essay On Coal Coal, the rock that burns the ozone layer and keeps the lights on for millions of Americans to see everyday. The bigger question at hand is will coal run out in the near future, or will there be more to come? Coal has been used for over three thousand years when first used by the Chinese, but if they have been using coalfor over three thousand years, then why are we just now arguing over when the coal will run out or not. This is because of two things, how long it takes coal to form and what will we do if it runs out. Coal is a renewable energy source for many reasons, it doesn t take as long to make coal as previously thought, coal is being formed right now under us, and that there is still coal to be found. You might have been taught... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sonar is very accurate in its readings for things to a certain distance underground, but that doesn t mean that there isn t coal under that range. GPR, ground penetrating radar, is used to detect things underground from high frequency waves and can register up to a thousand meters at most, for air, but even if that was the ground instead of air that it can detect that far down still doesn t mean that there isn t coal under there because coal can even be found farther than that. The main reason that there is more coal to still be found though is that the Earth is huge! Everyone knows that, but that means that no one ever has been able to know where everything is underground, so that means that there is still a ton of coal to be found still yet uncovered or even known of. But all of coal underground is just there and if no one knows of it, we can t get to it since we don t know where it is, so coal will run dry and the only way for us to keep up with the demands is to have this 36 week coal to form all the time, but it can only form under rare, special conditions which makes the chance of it forming so it is non renewable. This is entirely true, but where there is a demand, there is a supplier which means if all of the known coal runs out, that people will try to find the rest of it while the rest replenishes itself. Coal is a thing that drives the turbines to gives at least millions of Americans jobs and electricity every single day, why would we hurt
  • 3. Apple Search Warrant Multi billion dollar companies, Apple and Google have brought the attention of security on their devices, by upgrading them 10 fold, basically changing it out for a military grade protection. Rendering it almost impossible for anyone even Apple and Google themselves to break in, hack, or even crack the code of any of their devices. Apple had stated, as the new operating system becomes widely deployed over the next several weeks, the number of IPhones and IPads that Apple is capable of breaking into for police will steadily dwindle to the point where only devices several years old and incapable of running iOS 8 can be unlocked by Apple (Timberg). When FBI Director James B. Comey got an ear full of this nonsense, he struck back at the companys,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But now its making the use of a search warrant for devices, basically impossible, sending police and FBI agents into a tail spin. The sole purpose of a warrant is to gain access to a highly suspected criminals information without any need of the persons permission. Warrants are not easy to come by either, it takes quite a while to obtain one, you must first have tangible evidence that a person is committing a crime, then you must present it to a judge and convince them to sign the warrant, which inter makes it legal. The same process goes for a federal warrant. Apple said. that it is making it impossible for the company to turn over data from most iPhones or iPads to police even when they have a valid search warrant (Timberg). So basicly hindering the law passed about 5 months ago in the Supreme Court. The other question it raises is that, the 4th amendment clearly states, the right of the people to be secure in their own persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized , even with probable cause , Apple still won t allow law enforcement to enter the phones, which inter is going against the fourth amendment s
  • 4. Analysis Of The Movie The Play Guy The first shot in the sequence is when Guy has just finished a set against his opposition and takes a sip of water. Guy looks up the official time. This scene has an emphasis on time. Guy is concerned and held up by his tennis match, while Bruno has to reach for the lighter in the grate. The two characters who seem to be very methodical in their normal actions are now acting on instinct. The tennisannouncer points out that this is a game that Guy has never played and is known for doing slow play. The audience knows about how Bruno acts methodically by his calm demeanor during the carnival murder scene and his nonchalant attitude when dealing with Guy s acquaintances. This is a parallel between the two characters that Hitchcock makes. Showing that just because Guy is a civilised man and aspiring politician doesn t mean he isn t capable of murder just like Bruno. This idea of Guy killing is plausible throughout the whole movie and adds to the suspense of the film. The audience could want this from either morbid curiosity or maybe to humanize Bruno more, honestly there are endless reasons. The tennis match itself, is also a parallel between Guy and Bruno with sport being a big theme in their relationship. Bruno makes a deal with Guy to exchange murder. This exchange when offered kind of seems like a sort of sports proposition. With both of them gambling their lives and the obvious idea of killing a human is ultimate game. They both go back and forth in their interactions.
  • 5. Hip Hop, A And Creative Aspect Of Music Breaking through in the heart of the Bronx, Hip Hop was designed to empower and teach the youth, while providing them an outlet for creative expression. Developed on five essential pillars, all working towards: giving African Americans knowledge that they didn t have access to, inspiring them to read and acquire true knowledge of self, and to understand the role that self has in America in relation to the actual worth of self. Since the inception of Hip Hop, the genre has evolved through the times while transcending new depths aligned with its original pillars. An innovator in a sense, DJ Kool Herc founded Hip Hop by the early 70 s. MC s, DJ s, breakdancing, graffiti and music encompass the five pillars of Hip Hop. Modern inversions interpret these pillars in many different ways. Prevalent through all major cities, graffiti evolved to the murals on the side of buildings, and the creative aspect of music videos. Artists have visions interpreted in the way they decide to imagine their visuals. Breakdancing has become the advance dance crazes that sweep the nations. People in Japan are hitting the Nae Nae because of Hip Hop s mass globalization. MC s are the talk show host and commentators of award shows and hosts of events and red carpet specials: media. Dispersion of Hip Hop through channels that connect Blacks across different scopes happens through the media. Modern day DJ s introduce the new music with sets that keep nightclubs jumping from dawn to dusk. Displaying the

Simpson raises how the issue of trespass (4) is dealt with in relation to the resilience indigenous animals of the echo horror film genre. Drawing off James Lovelocke s (2007) comments on how earth is a dynamic living organism, as a self regulating evolving system in which everything is interrelated (James Lovelock, 2007) (44). Simpson s article denotes how the exploitations of echo horror has a lot to do with the social issues (Simpson,2007, pp. 44).The way these animals are illustrated within the genre drives viewers to acknowledge more culturally, plural forms of being such as the effect of human environmental destruction (55) and what it means to the indigenous occupants.Simpson matins theses clams throughout the article with examples of Australian natural predators; such as Crocodiles, Snakes, and Dingo s. Many Australian films convey its countries environment to be unpredictable and somewhat hazardous, its occupants can be when disturbed, stressing the effect of how dangerous they can be if one is unacquainted with the Australian environment and the animal s capabilities (47). From this example, Simpson suggests that anxieties that local humans may have been transcribed through animals (46) by a culture shift. In turn supporting Woods (1986) claim that the true subject of the (echo)
  • 9. The Problem Of African Trypanosomiasis African Trypanosomiasis is also known as sleeping sickness. It is important to understand that African Trypanosomiasis is a vector borne parasitic disease with a geographical distribution limited to the African continent where the disease is predominant. The parasites concerned are protozoa belonging to the genus Trypanosoma (WHO, 2008). The disease is transmitted by the bite of a tsetse fly, which has acquired their infection from human beings or from animals harboring the human pathogenic parasites (WHO, 2008). Human African trypanosomiasis(HAT) occurs only in sub Saharan Africa in regions where tsetse flies are localised, without tsetse flies, the disease cannot be transmitted. For the disease to be transmitted it is necessary to have the presence of someone infected or infected animals in the community and tsetse fly (WHO, 2008). HAT is among the most serious Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD). If untreated it is invariably fatal, with gambiensese form generally causing a chronic disease leading to fatal squeal after some years(Checchi et al, 2008). Over 60 million people are living in 250 locations are at risk of contracting the disease, and under 10,000 new cases were reported in 2009. Occasionally, a pregnant woman can pass the infection to her unborn baby. In theory, the infection can also be transmitted by blood transfusion or sexual contact, but such cases have rarely been documented (CDC, 2012). The closely related African animal trypanosomiasis (AAT)
  • 10. Characteristics Of Deep-Sea Creature Adaptions Deep Sea Creature Adaptions Deep Sea creatures in the Bathypelagic Zone and lower must adapt to survive. Adapting to this harsh environment didn t take only a few years, this process has occured over millions of years and will continue to occur. Some characteristics that the organisms adapted are things like: the ambush strategy, extended spines, smaller sizes, deep sea giantism, bioluminescence, transparant skins, large mouths, large teeth, large stomachs, large eyes, slow metabolic rates, lateral lines, hermaphroditism, and chemosynthesis. Scientists are still searching in the deep sea because for organisms still not discovered. All of these adaptions contribute to the survival of deep sea creatures in the low pressure, temperature, and low food source environment. Bathypelagic Zone Adaptions 1,000 4,000 (3,000 13,000 ft) meters deep in the ocean where there is a total abscence of sunlight. The large, dark ocean lessens the chance of animals catching prey. This zone has the greatest temperature changes compared to the other zones, it contains thermocline, which causes water temperatures to change dramatically with depth. In this wide ocean, all organisms do not have the energy to endlessly search for food, forcing many organisms to adapt to a strategy called The Ambush Strategy , which is when they sit and wait for prey to get closer and they attack them when the food when they re close enough, they have also adapted to having a long dorsal spine that floats above its head with a photophore which acts as a fishing pole to bait other animals. An example of this sort of fish is called the Deep Sea Angler. Animals in this zone also adapted to be smaller in size because they are entirely made of water with no air space due to high pressures. If they had air space inside of them, the open space in their body would crush them completely. The pressure of the Bathypelagic Zone is 800 times greater than the surfaces pressure. This is the cause of their less developed internal organs, small eyes, thinner skin, smaller sizes compared the animals in the Mesopelagic and Epipelagic Zone, which are located above the Bathypelagic Zone. If humans were to go down to these depths we d be crushed, this is caused by all
  • 11. John Lewis Turning Points The Turning Points of John Lewis Life In the book March: Book One and Two, the main character John Lewis takes part in the civil rights movement in 1960 s. While it s true that many events in his life did not increase his devotion to the civil rights movement and religious beliefs, I believe that John Lewis s beliefs and determination were reinforced by the turning points in his life. I believe the gift of his bible helped him grow stronger in religion, which helped him bring a sense of connection to the civil rights movement through Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. s words. Through that he started going to nonviolent workshops where he learned more about nonviolent protests, which started him on the road to joining the civil rights movement. This eventually pushed him to join the freedom riders. While growing up, John Lewis led a fairly simple life. He grew up on a chicken farm with his mother, father, and his brothers and sisters. His first time really getting into religion was when his Uncle gave him his first bible for Christmas when he was four .His mother would read it aloud to him. He said, I ll never forget my mother reading aloud to me the first words of that book, In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, . (Lewis and Aydin 1:26). When he turned five years old and learned how to read on his own, he began reading the bible all of the time. He began to preach to his chickens every night, and even gave his chickens his own version of a baptism. The more he did this, the more he realized that he wanted to become a preacher when he became an adult. One morning in 1955 John Lewis was listening to the radio when someone unfamiliar came on. He continued to listen to the sermon, this unknown person was giving, feeling like it was directed towards him. He had felt personally touched by that sermon, and caught the name for the preacher at the very end. The radio announcer says, So thank you, and again, you just heard Martin Luther King Jr. (Lewis and Aydin 1:55). After that, he began to take more notice about the world around him. Blacks were not treated as equals in the south. This started him on the path of wanting to do things about the civil rights movement. John Lewis became
  • 12. Role Of God In Iberian Conflict God as an Observer to Iberian Conflict Throughout the accounts of war in Iberia, both Christians and Muslims alike call upon God to grant them favor, strength, and protection as they charge into battle. Where they differ on the subject is typically ingrained in the belief that only one form of worship is correct for the monotheistic deity, and in doing so use Gods invocation to justify the Christian and Muslim invasions. However, God himself does not intervene with the conflicts, but rather plays a role as an observer to the conflict whose name continues to be mentioned despite his lack of contributions to said wars. In this paper I will argue that God is an omnipotent observer to the Iberian conflicts between Christians and Muslims, in which... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, during the Umayyad campaigns when territories were taken by the Muslims it s described that Castles and fortresses quaked as though death had rushed upon them, [...] / their hearts, publicly recognizing obedience, unanimously agreed to join the Islamic community, which suggests that the military conquest was the reason for the conversion, not God as the Muslims believed (The First Campaign Undertaken by the Prince of the Faithful, 80 82). Because the denizens of the lands converted, they were spared from further death and destruction, and so it begs the question: if God was going to have them convert at the end of the battle, why would he not have them convert before innocents were killed? Therefore, it seems that God once again is merely observing the developments as the Umayyad Caliphate expands, and he has no particular favor with Islam or Christianity because if he did he probably would have shown a sign to either religion or saved them from death. In the same way, El Cid justifies his conquests by declaring that I win battles as it pleases the Creator, and both Moors and Christians fear me, which suggests that God favors no side in the conflict as he allows El Cid to plunder the countryside of its wealth (Cid, 153). This also establishes that God observes El Cid s conquests and victories, does nothing when his followers The Moors called on Muhammad
  • 13. The European Convention On Human Rights With a number of recent high profile court rulings and a major new Regulation in the works, data privacy has become a cause cГ©lГЁbre within the European Union (EU). The size and connectivity of the European market means that shifts in its regulatory framework ripple with major consequences for global business. The EU s latest attempts to legislate in this area are a consequence of shortcomings in the design and implementation of the existing system of data collection, retention and safeguarding. While the existing system was designed to protect the private sphere from state intrusion, it ultimately created a system that punishes business. Background After World War Two, the protection of individual rights became a central pillar of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Measures intended for the protection of privacy morphed into a lever against the private sector in tax compliance and foreign investment. Impact of Enforcement and Harmonization The 1995 Directive gave the EU institutions considerable power over the Member States. Every Member State was required to create a Data Protection Authority (DPA) to monitor compliance with data protection legislation. The DPAs enjoy extended access to a large part of business information, handle claims from customers or agencies, and initiate legal action against non compliance. While this may increase consumer feelings of security relative to businesses, it comes at the cost of privacy relative to the government. Financial institutions face a heavy set of regulations to fully comply with the Directive. International monetary transfers from the EU are covered under the Directive in Article 25 since such transfers concern EU citizens data. These transfers are specially scrutinized because of privacy concerns in other countries. However, many Member States, worried about the economic effects of creating obstacles for foreign companies, allow the transfers to occur even when they suspect a violation. While some transfers require only the consent of the individual whose data is being transferred, others must be part of approved Standard Contractual Clauses or require
  • 14. The Environment And Governance Of Modern Cities The topic of ecological sustainability can be complex or simple, depending on the many factors that take place. In living systems, being sustainable means to produce more than to waste. By creating something sustainable, it assures that the resources can be recycled and will be available for people in the future to meet their needs. In terms of modern cities, the sustainabilitydepends on how much minerals and energy we bring into the city(water, energy), and how we use them effectively for our health and community, while keeping the available resources from depleting. Not only that, the sustainability also depends on the cities form and infrastructure to support an average citizen s daily needs. With the politics and governance of modern cities, how viable are plans of creating a sustainable city now? Is it possible? Many nations have already agreed that it is an important and influential issue, with harsh consequences if not tackled. The situation of a city and its flaws also depends on if the cities are in the third world, or in a rich nation. A sustainable city needs to be environmentally worthy, have a suitable infrastructure for all and should be well run. These characteristics can only be achieved by proper governance and the collective effort of the citizens. The essay discusses the importance of environmental sustainability and some of the widely known issues of urban and rural sustainability around the globe and possible solutions and preventions. Using the chapters on language and emotions to help frame your answer, suggest two ways that Ken could open this conversation more productively. For instance, clearly expressing his emotions and using I language. Ken could have approached Jen in a different, less confrontational tone. Perhaps if he had asked her do you have a minute? Jan would have felt as though her time was valuable. The biggest issue that Ken had is that he opened using you language. You language assigns blame and seem judgmental. This approach like the loyalty response ensures the other person that you care about the relationship and are seeking to preserve it. 4. Review the eight conflict management skills discussed in the text. Identify three examples of these skills in the dialogue between Jan and Ken. Finding three conflict management skills in this scenario was somewhat difficult simply because their discussion was not successful. However, there were attempts to use the check perception skills, relationship meaning and looking for points of agreement. The conversation between Jan and Ken was clear they were speaking to each other as friend and their messages were in tune to that perspective. Ken made an attempt to check perception when he asked Jan, if she was trying to get payback for his decision to inform her dad about her wanting to leave school. Checking perceptions is important to try and grasp the other person s point of view. Also, Jan made an attempt to find a point of agreement when she brought the

The client was asked to describe her relationship she had with her grandfather and how his death impacted her. She noted that they had a great relationship, she stated that he was like a father figure to her. She reported that he taught her how men are supposed to treat women by a positive example for her. In response, Apple started replacing the malfunctioning batteries for free. Most recently, consumers have been complaining about the iPhone s antenna problem. However, the islands are accessible to some kinds of natural disasters, such as earthquakes and volcanoes that I learned in Geology class. No one will recognize that the Hawaii is the island most likely to feel it. Volcanoes and earthquakes are natural hazards in Hawaii especially earthquakes that have great destructive potential and its have destroyed many other places in Hawaii and killed hundreds of people. There are many differences between volcanoes and earthquakes. These two types of natural disasters can compare or contrast to each other. They are different in three things: the geology, the process, and the effect, but volcanoes and earthquakes are related it. We need to predict and reduce the damage of the natural disaster in Hawaii, so we have to know more details about. As humans being living on earth we all faced to a natural disaster of some sort. Earth is compounded of huge blocks, or tectonic plates, that constantly move and slide past one another. These plates enhance energy as they move, known as boundaries, generating a fault plane. When plates slide away from each other, the stress and heat from the earth s core can strength magma up through the gaps. When plates bump, they can produce the strong impact that causes pieces of the Earth s crust to crash inbound. The caved in crust becomes overheated and pushed higher

The buildup to the final performance is great and this is partly explained by the fact that Beethoven s 9th was different in that it contained song and chorus. Daniel Barenboim will be conducting the West Eastern Divan Orchestraat the Royal Albert Hall. The hall is beautifully decorated for the occasion. The main theme of the symphonyrevolved around the human conditions and unity (Swafford, 2014). I think the performance of the orchestra was above average. I enjoyed all aspect from when the conductor was welcomed by members of the orchestra to when the choir joined towards the grand finale. Both the orchestra and the audience played their role exceptionally. I watched the orchestra play over and over trying to grasp the meaning of every movement while enjoying the choral. By looking at the members of the large orchestra I could tell they were eager to please. Also the fact that they had rehearsed gave them confidence which was fully in display. On the day of the rehearsals, I see people everywhere (on the orchestra and audience setting) mingling with each other and the murmurs take over the hall. The orchestra is about to begin rehearsing for what will be the last symphony. I notice that the orchestra is composed of young and older people of different ethnicity. Even the audience display this diversity in terms of age, gender and ethnicity. This goes to show that orchestra is not

The Effects Of Media Violence On Violent Entertainment Discussion The attraction or appeal of violence in media entertainment is a topic that has received consistent but quiet academic attention, while the effects of media violence continues to draw primary focus from the public and scholars alike. This discrepancy perhaps lays in the difficulty of the question or rather the reality of the question; how can the same people who develop, and by and large, abide by established moral and criminal codes condemning violence choose to engage in violent films, television programs and video games and actually enjoy it? Several theories have been posited; some with more merit than others, since non fictional and fictional violence first hit the small (and big) screen. Research has shown that personality is a significant contributing factor to the enjoyment of violent entertainment. This is an important finding as it not only distinguishes between those who enjoy violent entertainment and those who do not but also draws attention to the different reasons why different people enjoy violent entertainment. The identification of trait aggression and anti social tendencies as predictors for enjoyment of violent entertainment is especially important. Given the widely accepted positive correlation between exposure to violent entertainment and aggressive or violent behaviour the current finding should encourage further research into practical and clinical recommendations to mediate the attractiveness of media violence to people already

No one decides for themselves what they value; from birth everyone has choices made for them. Parents choose how they want to raise their children and where; all of which are factors that decide who each personis and who they become. The factors that cause for differences in individuals vary, each person is introduced to distinctive experiences that are unique to that person and allow for that individualto develop into a unique identity. However these expectations differ for age groups, race, and social order; and being a people eager to fit in and be accepted, everyone is coerced into following the norms and expectations set for them. Andrew Sullivan in his article , I Used to Be a Human Being discusses the loss of a true identity to the new expectations of a developing generation. The people of each generation allow themselves to be changed and formed into the ideals of their society. Andrew Sullivan talks about how each person of this new generation is expected to interact with each other in a fashion so far removed from the past that these new pressures are only relevant to the youth of the society. Having been born twenty years earlier saved people from the pressures put on these individuals, seeing as the pressures were created after the identities of the people were created. The pressures for each generation are different than the generation that came before them, and with the new pressures and expectations come a new type of people, people who value different things and act in different manners. As new groups of individuals arise the new expectations expectations, for how each person should act, rise with them. These people will then raise their children who will grow up alongside an entirely different set of norms than their parents had, bringing again a new type of people into society. Anna Garvey in her article, The Oregon Trail Generation: Life Before and After Mainstream Tech supports this idea. Having been part of a generation in between new and old values, she got to see first hand how new environments create different pressures and therefore cause individuals to conform and let themselves be changed by what these new expectations call for. As an environment changes, the way in which individuals interact with each other changes as well. The environment that a person is in

Everyman has a very clear moral message. People choosing goods over good deeds. Foneska (2007) states that the character of Everyman is a universal representation of the human race and is obsessed with his physical appearance and money. Everyman is a sinner who has turned his back on God. (pg.1) Ryan (1995) says that Everyman sets out to show that charity is the highest of all virtues, and that caring for the sick and poor by the people who have riches was the ticket to salvation and eternal life (1995). Everyman is obsessed with becoming richer and gaining more material things. God has become fed up with mankind and decides to send Death to teach them a lesson: GOD: I perceive, her in my majesty, How that all creatures be to me unkind, Living without dread in worldly prosperity: Of ghostly sight the people be so blind, Drowned in sin, they know me not for their God: In worldly riches is all their mind, They fear not my righteousness, the sharp rod. My law that I showed, when I for them died, They forget clean, and shedding of my blood red; I hanged between two, it cannot be denied; To get them life I suffered to be dead; I healed their feet, with thorns hurt was my head. I could do no more than I did, truly; And now I see the people do clean forsake me: They use the seven deadly (lines 25 35) God summons Death and tells him to prepare Everyman for his death. DEATH:

  • 43. The Israel And Palestine Conflict And The... For thousands of years, Israel and Palestine have fought over the land. Many wars have taken place and several peace treaties have failed. At the root of the Israeli Palestinian rivalry is a debate over boundaries and territories. Israel should have sheer control of this land because they arrived here first. Israel should own the land, including Jerusalem, because they occupied the region first. In the beginning, God chose Abraham to protect the Hebrew people. Abraham made an agreement with God. This agreement was that God would protect Abraham and his descents if they would obey God. This is called a covenant. After being forced into slavery, the Hebrews fled Egypt between thirteen hundred and twelve hundred B.C. and the Jews call this the Exodus. The man who led them out of Egypt was Moses. When they came to Canaan, they formed twelve different tribes. When the Romans conquered the land, Israel had no homeland, even though Jews were granted to reside there. They were forced from their homeland in two different dispersions. One happened in 70 A.D. and the other in 135 A.D. They were forced out by Palestinians in 135 A.D. After being forced out, the Jews spread out in different countries and this was known as the Diaspora. However, there was always a Jewish presence in the land. During the late 19th century and early 20th century, a group of Jews returned to this region. This region consists of Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip. These people were Zionists, or people

This chain is often ran by formal orders, detectives, and written memorandums. In the police organization these forms provide a sense of order and security. Using excessive or exclusive communications however have certain disadvantages. One disadvantage in strict adherence to formal channels can be both time and personnel consuming. Memorandums must be drafter carefully ad must go through the chain of command for endorsements and then must be forwarded to the correct personnel according to departmental policy. Another disadvantage of formal channels is what effect this can have on free flow of information. Using formal channels will require a written record and many people hesitate to put their thoughts in writing because they are intimidated, afraid of losing their job, etc., which restricts the flow of information. However, using formal communications makes it possible for the officers to receive new directives and information concerning crimes rather quickly. Formal communication is less confusing and establishes a paper trail for legal purposes, if the need arrives (Wallace amp; Roberson, 2009). Informal channels are the unofficial route of communication within an agency. Informal communication has also been labeled as gossip and should not be taken seriously until verified. Using informal channels when time is critical actually can save time. Instead of going through the chain
