Wisdom Of Humility In Antigone
Humility is the antibiotic to almost every disease, yet throughout this semester I have witnessed
many literary characters fall before they are cured. In East Coker, T.S. Eliot wrote, The only
wisdom we hope to acquire/Is the wisdom of humility, humility is endless. I believe that many
characters realized the benefits of humility, but some were in too deep to take advantage. Creon,
Victor and Ivan come from different time periods, different languages, even different worlds but
they all learned the powerful lesson of humility through their suffering and pain. Creon, the
antagonist of Sophocles s play Antigoneis a great example of a man who learns humility after
causing mass destruction all around him. In the play, Creon is the King of Thebes and he is solely
interested in political and social order. The previous King and Creon s brother, Oedipusdied and his
sons Eteocles and Polynices were suppose to rotate the throne. However, the brothers ended up
killing each other in a duel which led to Creo taking power. Creon angered his niece Antigone
when he allowed her brother Eteocles to be given proper funeral honors, but not her brother
Polynices. To make things more complicated, Haemon, Creon s son is in love and intends on
marrying Antigone. Going against Creon s law, Antigone gives her brother Polyneices a proper
burial and is caught. Creon condemns her to death despite the outcries of the chorus and his son.
He begins to have remorse and says that she may be freed, but

Dissociative Identity Disorder and Communication Essay
In this critical reflection paper, I will aim to discuss ways in which those diagnosed with
Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) attempt to communicate with their co personalities, also how
those with DID sort through the multi personality layers within themselves to aim for a sense of
normality, calmness and co existence.
Communication is an important part of those diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorders. DID
can commonly be described as a severe condition in which two or more distinct identities, or
personality states, are present in and alternately take control of an individual, John Wiley (2012).
The process involved in breaking down the layers of personality begins with looking at the Russian
Matouschka dolls analogy, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This system can clearly be encompassed in the system doll Kaye (2013, pp.86). Kaye clearly
outlines the system of a Dissociative Identity Disorder by saying that, people can influence the way
these systems or organisations will develop or deteriorate .
Assagioli (1984), developed the theoretical base of psychosynthesis to assist those with DID to
break down the barriers of dissociative symptoms. Psychosynthesis is described as being closely
related to Existential therapy a kind of psychotherapy that emphasizes the development of a sense
of self direction through choice, awareness, and acceptance of individual responsibility, Schneider.
K Rollo. M, (2012).
Assagioli (1984), explains that Psychosynthesis aims to promote growth and to integrate this
personality, to coordinate various personality aspects, to resolve inner conflicts and create a sense
of harmony . In a sense, Assagioli utilises inter personal

Essay on Juice Guys Case Study Analysis
Juice Guysв„ў In the summer of 1998, Nantucket Nectar created a subsidiary of their brand called
Juice Guys. This new product was comprised of fresh juice and fruit smoothie drinks that were
taking over the West Coast. Within three and a half months, Juice Guys had sold a total of 175,000
items ranging from smoothies, yogurts, sorbets, Nantucket Nectar drinks and fresh squeezed juices.
JuiceGuys revenue went up to 91% and they made a profit of $227,000 in sales. Noticing the
tremendous success within the industry in such a short time, Nantucket Nectar and Juice Guys
decided to expand this new juice retail concept into the East Coast. Their primary focus within the
East Coast was expansion into the Boston market. Although this... Show more content on

The article stated that, many East Coast baby boomers were wondering, what s a smoothie? (Fox
Rushmore, 1999, p. 4). This statement not only indicated that people in the East Coast were not
aware of this new juice trend, it also stated that consumers demands and tastes can greatly change
from one demographic to another (Fox Rushmore, 1999, p. 4); whereas allowing Juice Guys the
opportunity to sell more than just juice and also resulting in Juice Guys indentifying between the
ages of 18 35 to be their leading influential target market.
With having only one of The Four Ps, (the place), Juice Guys had to come up with a marketing plan
to develop the other three Ps; which were of product, promotion and price. Juice Guys knew they
wanted to sell fresh juices and fruit smoothies; however, they needed to know if the consumers
wanted more than just those products. Also, they needed to find a way to promote their new
products and make their prices economically feasible for the consumers in this new place; which
was Boston. In order to accomplish this, they needed consumers to let them know what they
thought was the ultimate juice shop.
Marketing research defined is the systematic design, collection, analysis, and reporting of data and
findings relevant to a specific marketing situation facing the company (Kotler Keller, 2009, p. G6).

Informative Essay On Albinism
How many of you know someone with albinism? Can you visualize that person? Or what do you
think an albino looks like? What stereotype comes to mind? I m sure many of you may think that
albinos have the red or pink eyes with white skin and hair, but most of you probably don t know
that is not always true.
For those of you who don t know, I have a type of albinism that will be discussing today along with
what albinism, who gets it, the different types, the symptoms, and if there is a treatment or not.
Most of you may ask, What is albinism and who gets it? Albinism is a rare genetic disorder that
causes the skin, hair, and eyes to have little to no color. About 1 in 18,000 to 20,000 people in the
United States have a form of albinism, stated by Rose Kivi, author of the article Albinism Health
line published on November 23, 2015.
Albinism is caused by a mutation in one of several genes. It also has a defect in one of several
genes that produce or distribute melanin. Melanin is the pigment responsible for the color of the
skin, hair and eyes. People who have albinism are more susceptible to developing skin cancer
because there is a lack of melanin produced in the body. Melanin also plays a huge role in the
eyes, so the lack of pigment causes them to be extremely sensitive to light, according to the article
Albinism last updated on May 24, 2016.
The people who are at risk for albinism are people who inherit a gene from one or both of their
parents if they have the gene

Theories Of Motivation And Motivation
2.2Motivation
Kressler (2003, 1 2) defines motivation as a rationale behind human behavior; anyone who has
motives is motivated and has reasons and causes for their actions and inaction. Rationale to work is
generally a combination of necessity to work, to satisfy individual needs and to avoid frustration.
However motivation is highly personal and people react differently to motivational factors.
Armstrong (2006, 317) continues that motivation has three dimension; direction that tells what
person is trying to do, effort which explains how hard persons is trying and persistence that
clarifies how long person keeps on trying. Motivation shortly is a goal directed behavior where
actions lead to a valued reward and as Pinder (2008, 11) defines: Work motivation is a set of
energetic forces that originate both within as well as beyond individual s being to initiate work

However not in all organizations employees are responsible of their career development and it
might need managerial presence in order to be achieved. For that rewards like incentives,
promotions, praises and appraisals are created. It is how ever argued whether rewards affect to
work motivation or just the quality of working life since it is commonly agreed that monetary
rewards like bonuses or incentives have only short time effect on human behavior and motivation
is a long run matter. Cam eron Pierce (2002, 11) even claimed that money or other high rewards
can be harmful or lead to negative motivation if they are frequently used since employees might
get used to it and when monetary rewards are being discontinued it can make them do less and
more importantly enjoy less of their doing since there is no reward

Why Did The Ussr Lose Ww2 Essay
What if the USSR pulled out of World War II as they had in WWI? If the USSR had pulled out
of the war, Germany would have had a greater fighting chance to win WWI since they would only
have to focus on a one front war. Also since Germany had become much stronger during WWII
than during WWI, they would have had a better chance of winning the war because of their
advanced technology that they had brought out during WWII. Focusing on the topic of Germany
only having to fight on the western front would have been a huge advantage to Germany because
on the Eastern Front the USSR was causing three quarters of Germany s military casualties and was
keeping Germany from being able to launch massive attacks on the Western Front. Another

Therefore, with the USSR out of the picture during WWII, Germany and Japan would be the top
military powers and would control most of the war until the end. As specified before, if the
USSR had left the war, Germany s army would recover from the eastern front losses and would
launch all out attacks on the western front being able to push back the Allies, because at the
time the United State s Army was not as impressive as at the end of the war when it surpassed
Germany s military power, but if the USSR had pulled out early on, the United State s Army
would not have been able to defend against Germany because of their lack of military power and
their lack of air force. On the other hand, if the USSR would have pulled out late in the war, the
Allies would have still won because the US had built a strong and powerful navy surpassing the
navies of Britain and Japan, and also surpassing the military power of Germany. Britain s navy
and air force also remained strong at the end of the war leading to a possible victory alongside the

Central Dewitt Football Program Analysis
The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of
knowledge, but rather a lack of will, and a lack to change Vince Lombardi. Central Dewitt s
football program usually has a tradition of great success and excellent morals. Unfortunately, in the
2014 and 2015 footballseason they have a combined record of 5 13, which does not live up to the
standards of the DeWitt community. There are many problems circulating the football program,
but most involve the lack of experience in coaching. Central Dewitt s losing football record for the
past two seasons can be solved by coaches properly developing their athletes, incorporating new
offensive and defensive strategies, and increasing player participation.... Show more content on

Including, beating their arch rivals the Maquoketa Cardinal 47 of the 83 times playing them
(CDSfootball). The Sabers currently run an offense called the triple option. In this more
dynamic and elaborate offense, they leave opponents unblocked making them choose to tackle
the quarterback or the fullback. If they tackle the fullback, the quarterback then has the option to
keep it himself or pitch it to the running back thus giving us the triple option. Head coach Mike
Miller brought the offense to Central Dewitt in 2012 during his debut season. The sabers saw
great success in Miller s first season going 8 4, winning the district six title and rushing for 3,644
yards (CDSfootball). It did not take long for opposing coaches to find ways to counter this run
dominant offense. In coach Millers previous two seasons the sabers have only run for a
combined total 3,700 yards (CDSfootball). This is not the only problem that lies within Central
Sabers schemes. The Sabers run a base 4 3 defense, which means there are 4 down lineman and 3
linebackers. Although this is a popular defense, in modern football you need to run multiple
defenses to throw off opposing offenses. The sabers do not run multiple defenses, and this allows
offenses to get in a rhythm, and as a result the sabers allowed an average of 36 points a game in
2015 (quicksstats). The need for change is evident in the Central Sabers program. The real question
is how to change the schemes, so the Sabers can get back on their winning

The Threat Of The Terrorist Threat Essay
The terrorist threat is one threat that can not be taken likely and requires effort from all homeland
security stakeholders to prevent the consequence of such a threat. This threat can come in so many
different fashions that it requires a collaborative effort to prevent its effects. If a terrorist has access
to an item that can cause harm then it can be added to the vast list of threats. There have been
terrorist attacks that have occurred utilizing explosives, chemical weapons, small arms attacks,
toxic industrial chemical and if other threats are available then these threats would be used to cause
mass causalities. The terrorist threat may have a strong hold in certain parts of the Middle East but
the threat has traveled globally. Through the use of the internet, the terrorist organizations are able
to expand their propaganda and therefore spread their influence globally. The internet has caused a
change in the nature of the terrorist threat by not just associated this threat as foreign but one that
can inspire homegrown terrorism. In this paper, it will discuss how terrorists are able to spread
their influence globally and inspire followers to become homegrown terrorists. This paper will also
discuss how the internet is utilized as a means to get information to home grown terrorists that can
be used in a terrorist attack. Lastly, the paper will discuss how homeland security professionals can

Essay On Good Vs Evil Archetypes
Most stories, movies, and myths have the simple archetype of Good vs. Evil. This particular
archetype can often be confusing, because in stories the reader is often lead to believe that
something or someone represents good or evil, but it does not. More often than not the evil
character is either crazy or was raised wrongly. Evil characters in Good vs. Evil stories are often not
truly evil but either mental unstable or not taught right from wrong.
The entirety of the Inheritance series is based on two archetypes, Good vs. Evil and Man vs. Man.
These two archetypes are the underlying archetypes. Each book also has its own archetypes that
overlays the first two mentioned. One of the overlying archetypes, Crime pursued by Vengeance, is
only overlying throughout the first three books of the series, Eragon, Eldest, and the 1st quarter of

Man, Woman vs. The Supernatural, and Woman vs. Self. The story also has the overlying
archetypes of Revenge, Temptation, The Quest, Love, Maturation, and Transformation. In The
Young Elites the main character is fighting a kingdom, herself, and other supernatural people. The
main character also helps her lover take revenge upon his family, the royal family. Up until he
dies, she is on a quest to exact that revenge. Along the way her ability to create illusions, along
with the frequency with which she uses it, begins to degrade her mind she begins to hallucinate and
become mentally unhinged. This is where the reader comes into contact with the Madness
archetype. She goes through a period of maturation and transformation to become a powerful force,
which overthrows the kingdom which fits in the Ascension archetype. The Good vs. Evil archetype
is visible here in the main character vs. Her hallucinations which often coerce her into killing
innocents. It is confusing because the evil force seems like the royal family, but it is not

Skin Microbial Exposure
4 3. Environmental factors
Significant variations in the prevalence between world regions suggest that environmental factors,
such as climate, diet, obesity, smoking rates, and microbial exposure could influence the
development of AD.
4 3 1. Microbial exposure
Recent studies highlighted the impact of skin microbiota on AD because microbiota has been
revealed to be involved both in the homeostasis and pathogenic conditions of the skin (Naik et al.,
2012). In AD patients, temporal dybiosis dominated by Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) during
disease flares was reported (Kong et al., 2012; LEYDEN, MARPLES, KLIGMAN, 1974). The skin

pH are soap and other detergents. Washing the skin with a soap causes elevation of skin pH,

The Theme Of Homo Eroticism Within The Play As You Like It...
Within this analysis, I will inquire into the theme of homo eroticism within the play As You Like
It and how it differs from various other plays written by Shakespeare and elaborate on how ground
breaking this play was during the time it was written and when it was performed, the differences in
social constructs between then and now the differing views of society in the time it was written and
the present day.
As You Like Its first performance was in London in 1740, a time when popular literature associated
homoeroticism with revulsion, violent [for] the loathsome and evil thing an to the Elizabethans
homoeroticism was abhorred, polluted and unclean... and all that is beastly and obscene .
(Sokolovic Cizmek, 2003, P)
As odd as it may sound, one may believe from that, that Elizabethan society wouldn t tolerate
anything slightly resembling homoeroticism, yet homoerotic practice was widespread in the early
modern period among both sexes (Bray, 1993).
An exerpt from Klarisa Sokolovic Cizmek s journal article
Before exploring homoeroticism, it is important to determine an understanding of what the term
is. As defined by Oxford English Dictionary, Homoeroticism is; pertaining to or characterized by
a tendency for erotic emotions to be centred on a person of the same sex; of or pertaining to a
homo erotic person . It is crucial to not mistake homo eroticism as merely a synonym of
homosexuality, because it is an entirely different concept. Homo eroticism refers to the

actually the most violent on the Earth. For example, of these powerful and destructive storms was
Hurricane Matthew. Hurricane Matthew occurred from September 28th through October 9th, 2016,

they are, can cause lots of destruction to cities, states, and/or countries. To begin with, there are
many causes of hurricanes. Hurricanes are created by thunderstorms gathering together in a

The Federal Reserve Bank assessed potential being used at factories, mines and utilities in the U.S.

percent (Chandra, Apr. 20, 2014). According to an article in Reuters, this is the highest capacity
utilization since June 2008. (Nawaguna, Apr. 16, 2014) Incidentally, as resources are used more
efficiently, manufacturing output will increase. Higher labor costs and allocation of factory space
are excellent indications that manufacturing output has indeed gone up within the United States.
However, I would not consider it a revolution by any means because most of the data suggests this
is only a gradual upward trend and hasn t changed any aspects of business. Although, if this
upward trend continues, we can expect more job openings, greater use of factory space, and more
made in the US products floating up around the markets of the world. Luckily, accountants aren t
paid to forecast so my essay ends here.

The Reluctant Fundamentalist Essay
Fundamentalism is a strict adherence to a set of ideas or beliefs that are conservative in nature. It is
a pejorative term usually associated with religious fanaticism. Usually, this is what comes to mind
when there is mention of a fundamentalist. However, in Mohsin Hamid s The Reluctant

Hamid, through his choice of names, brilliantly doubles his characters as motifs. All the significant
characters have a symbolic identity and thus, he is simultaneously telling two stories, but not in the
traditional sense expected of a frame story, for this is not a story within a story, but rather, a story
behind a story. The frame takes Changez back to the past, but when he finishes retelling the past,
the frame is no more and the reader is back in the present. Therefore, when the past is put in
conjunction with the happenings in the cafe, only one story is being told. The second story is
conveyed through the interaction of the motifs and requires a little intuition (not that much) on
the reader s part to decipher its meaning. In using the motifs to convey a variety of messages, the
relationship between Changez and Erica is especially saturated with clues of their secret
identities. Erica had only one previous lover, Chris, her childhood sweetheart who died of
cancer in late adolescence and whom she is never able to let go. Initially, she was severely
depressed but eventually recovered from the ordeal. However, as Erica s intimacy with Changez

In order for a software system to be considered ERP, it must provide a company with
functionality for more than one system. Small types of ERP systems, like QuickBooks, cover
only two functions of an organization (usually HR and Accounting). The main reason why I start
my paper by introducing ERP is because SAP is the largest ERP software in the market, so I will
be using this word frequently throughout the paper. If we don t know what an ERP is then it will
be hard to understand SAP software. What is SAP ERP software?
The abbreviation SAP stands for Systems Applications and Products for data processing.
The SAP software is the fourth largest company in the business market.
SAP system is a software package designed to combine all areas of a big company.
It provides solutions for financials, human resource, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and

African American Oppression Between 1865 And 1905
Oppression is a common theme in history. Whether it is based on race or gender the oppressed are
inevitably strengthened by the oppression through commitment and perseverance. African
Americans were one of the most significant examples of oppression in American history. The
emancipation of slavery in 1865 signified the slow fight for freedom and equality for African
Americans. Between 1865 and 1905 they suffered extreme oppression, but remained united in their
fight to gain independence.
In 1865 all slaves were emancipated which declared them free, but racism was far from over. In the
South, freed African Americans continued to be killed as an act of racial violence. Between the
period of 1865 1905 African Americans fought to defeat their oppression. By the year 1905,
freedmen were still fighting for the same rights they were fighting for in 1865. African Americans
were oppressed in many regards, a great example of this is the black codes. These codes were
written into Louisiana law which prohibited blacks from passing within the limits of said parish
without a special permit, renting or buying a house within said parish, working without a white
person supervising them, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Life Of Saint Paul s Name After The Conversion Of...
Saint Paul s name before his conversion to Christianity was Saul, an individual who devoted his
life to the persecution of Christians and early disciples in Jerusalem. He was a Hebrew from the
tribe of Benjamin, a Pharisee, and someone who is very literate in Judaism faith as well. He was
born into a devout Jewish family in Tarsus of Cilicia, hence known as Saul of Tarsus, one of the
major trade centers on the Mediterranean Coast in present day Turkey. During his early life, he
was sent to Jerusalem to receive his education in classical literature, philosophy, law, and ethics
under Rabbi Gamaliel. Saul s early profession was tent making, which eventually became the initial
connection with Priscilla and Aquila whom he partnered with and became vital mates as
missionaries . Furthermore, he took an active part in the martyrdom of Saint Stephen, first martyr
and deacon, by giving his approval and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him .
Following his approval of the mob s murderous actions, Saul ravaged the church, entering the homes
of believers, committing them to prison, and even locking up female believers.
On his way to Damascus from Jerusalem to further his persecution against Christians, Jesus
appeared to him in a great light, he fell on the ground, and heard a powerful voice that said unto
him, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me ? Thus, according to the accounts in the book of Acts,
Saint Paul s conversion took place on the road to Damascus, where he

Realistic Vs Romantic Love In A Midsummer Night’S Dream.
Realistic vs Romantic Love in A Midsummer Night s Dream William Shakespeare s writing has
stayed very applicable through the years. It was applicable to the times when he wrote his works
and is applicable today in similar and different ways. A key theme throughout Shakespeare s work is
love, one of the most fundamental human experiences and emotions. Throughout A Midsummer
Night s Dream, the theme of loveis built up and dissected. The characters are passionate about love
from the beginning. The main conflict originates from love itself. Shakespeare builds up the idea
of love and then begins to challenge our interpretation of love. He focuses on juxtaposing the
romantic idea of love with the more realist nature of love. This comparison of... Show more content

However, when thinking about the period that the play was written and even more where it was
set love seems to fade into actuality of the situation. Fathers could determine who their daughters
ended up with. The fact that a couple would run away to an area that laws did not apply in just
to get married was just something that people would have thought about not actually done. The
fact that Shakespeare would even put it on written page and have it performed shows that he at
least thought that love is at least a partially romantic ideal. It is later in the play that he begins to
question that with how the characters end up that eventually creates his full interpretation of
love as an ideal. Throughout the play Shakespeare makes cynical comments about love and the
feeling that people express towards one another. This is also meant to contrast with the romantic
view of love. Lord, what fools these mortals be! (3.2.115) Robin explains as he questions the
actions of the esteemed and troubled couples. In the play this is the point where Oberon is using
the love potion to get certain couples to fall in love with one another. This act impedes the
natural progression of love. This intervention is used by Shakespeare to focus on the infallibility
and cynicism of love. Oberon is not using this potion for love s sake. It is for his own personal
agenda and amusement. Being able to alter and fiddle with love in this matter reveals the cynicism

Savagery In Life Of Pi
In the last section of Yann Martell s, Life of Pi, there are many interesting literary device aspects
shown throughout the story, mostly revolving around imagery, symbolism, and allegory. After
observing Pi suffer greatly from deterioration, lack of sustenance, and loss of faith, hope finally
resurrects itself! Pi s life boat comes upon an island made of pure vegetation. Everything is
paradise to Pi, however, as the days pass, Pi starts to notice some peculiar events going on. One
day, as Pi climbs a tree on the island, he discovers a human set of teeth wrapped in leaves. At first

Martell made the book very interesting to read by incorporating so much adventure in Pi s huge
survival journey. When reading throughout the entire book, I was always haunted with the
question if Pi will survive, and how he will do it, especially with the Bengal tiger in his life boat.
The relationship built between Richard Park and Pi was fascinating to me, and the way the
theme of savagery was addressed throughout the novel, sparked many thoughts in my mind about
the comparison of us, humans, to animals. By reading this novel, I was equipped with a better
knowledge and understanding of in what circumstances humans develop animalistic qualities,
and how those animalistic qualities are always in us, but covered in a thick layer of the impact
society and civilization has made upon us. I loved how in the end it was revealed that there are
two stories, rather than one. I enjoyed how the one Pi told the readers was the one that was
optimistic, unbelievable, but extremely interesting! Wheras the other story, was a very realistic
one, however, it was filled with melancholy, and was very concise, possibly causing a loss of
faith for Pi, and for the readers! However, Martell did not tell the readers which story was the
correct one because instead, the readers were given an opportunity to chose the story that they
enjoyed best, and the one they believed in. Some people are more optimistic than others who like
to believe only in the reality, science, and what has already been proven. I do not regret choosing to

Saint Augustine s Life Of Augustine
Saint Augustine
The Life of Augustine
Augustine was born in North Africa in AD 354 in the city of Thagaste. His father, Patricius, was
a pagan and his mother, Monica, a devoted Catholic who relentlessly prayed for her son s
salvation. Saint Augustine of Hippo wrote Confessions between AD 397 and AD 398. He is
regarded as a great theologian, philosopher, and one of most prolific Latin author s of many
works. Augustine was schooled at Tagaste and Madaura and later at Carthage where he became
interested in Latin literature and became a teacher of literature and public speaking. Later in Milan
he converted to Catholicism and was baptized, ordained, and eventually became the Bishop of
Hippo. He is still considered an influential, but very controversial bishop of the Catholic Church
(Smither, 2009).
Confessions of Saint Augustine
Augustine wrote Confessions while he was a bishop at Hippo. The book was written using a
peculiar and very original style. It is a type of conversation from Augustine directed towards God.
The book is a form of autobiography, written in thirteen books that are bound together by the
theme of God s grace and redemption. His own life is testimony to this as God s love is seen in
each stage he went through along his journey back to the truth (Pusey, 2014).
Throughout the entire book Augustine uses philosophical and theological reasoning; he also
includes an exegesis of biblical scripture. In the first nine books are written as an autobiography

Persuasive Essay About Volunteering
I want you to think about this for a second, has anyone ever stopped to help you when you were
in need? Now, this may be someone who is related to you, someone who is not, or maybe you ve
never really needed help from anyone. Regardless of who came to mind, anyone, including you, is
capable of volunteering and givingback to the community. Volunteeringin your community is
notably beneficial to everyone. If you enjoy making people smile and improving your own
health conditions, volunteering is right down your alley. I have been volunteering off and on at
Providence Assisted Living in New Albany for just over a year now, and I never regret spending
my day there. Volunteering is beneficial because it allows you to learn new skills, meet new
people, and improve your school and/or job application, and that s only a few reasons.
To start us off, volunteering is needed at many places all over the state, country, and even the
world. Whether you want to groom dogs, feed the homeless, spend time with elders, or throw a
party for children, volunteering is not limited to one task. In fact, you expose yourself to new tasks
and skills that you can continue to improve on. You typically work in an unfamiliar area that will
allow you to improve your respect, speaking, patience, and giving. Volunteering has many
unexpected benefits as well. Did you know you can gain confidence by volunteering?

One application of the iodine number is the determination of the amount of unsaturation contained
in fatty acids. This unsaturation is in the form of double bonds which react with iodine compounds.
The higher the iodine number, the more unsaturated fatty acid bonds are present in a fat. In a
typical procedure the acid is treated with an excess of Wij s iodine solution which a solution of
iodine monochloride (ICl) in glacial acetic acid. The iodine concentration is then determined by
titration with sodium thiosulfate. Iodine value is the average unsaturation measurement in fat
sample. Although iodine value is expressed as the weight of iodine added to 100 g of sample, the
analytical procedure used to determine the iodine normally use iodine monochloride in acetic acid
solution (Wijs reagent) as halogenations agent.
Objective
1) To determine the free fatty acid found in oil.
2) To differentiate between the free fatty acid formed during the hydrolysis process and oxidation
process.
3) To understand the relationship between acid value and free fatty acid
4) To determine the iodine value (IV) in oil

Orlando s Theory Of The Deliberative Nursing Process
Critique Analysis This section presents an analysis of Orlando s theory. The central thesis of
the Theory of the Deliberative Nursing Process is finding out and meeting the patient s
immediate need for help. The concepts and propositions of the theory are written at a concrete
level of discussion (Fawcett, Desanto Madeya, 2013). The theory is classified as a middle range
predicative theory. The theory identifies the effects of a specific interpersonal nursing process on
identification of the patient s immediate need for help. origins. Ida Jean Orlando was born in
1929. She obtained her diploma in nursing from New York Medical College, her Bachelor of
Science in public health nursing from St. John s University and Masters in mental health nursing
at Columbia University (Current Nursing, 2013). She was an Associate Professor at Yale School
of Nursing and Director of the Graduate Program in Mental Health Psychiatric Nursing (Current
Nursing, 2013). Orlando published her book The Dynamic Nurse Patient Relationship in 1961.
Orlando does not credit any theoretical sources in the development of her theory (Necor, 2014, p.
5). She formulated the deliberative nursing process from the considerable amount of data she
recorded on nurse patient observations. She evaluated facts from those observations to develop her
theory. Orlando proclaimed that her theory is valid and applied it in her work with patients and
nurses and the teaching of students (Necor, 2014, p. 5). unique focus.

The Preface By William Lloyd Garrison
The preface by William Lloyd Garrison describes the encounter between Frederick Douglass and
Garrison, at an anti slavery convention. It tells about how this encounter led to a long partnership
between the two as well as Douglass involvement in the Anti Slavery Society. At the convention
the people noticed his appearance as well as his intellectual side. The crowd seemed to respond
well to the idea of protecting Douglass against his owners. In the convent Garrison says Douglass
testimony made the audience question their ideas about black being inferior. Garrison then goes
on to talk about how any inferior ideas about a race are the cause of slavery. He describes the events
where a shipwrecked whites where held as slaves by blacks in Africa because they were seen as
inferior. He then goes on to point of that many slaves have endured a much harsher life then
Douglass, and he points out how murder of slaves was not being investigated. In the preface
there was a letter to Douglass from a Wendell Phillips, addressing Douglass as a friend. He says
that he is happy the writing of former slaves is now being published and able to be but into

The Shikoku Henro is a Buddhist Pilgrimage visiting eighty eight Buddhist Temples in Shikoku to

through its intensive process. Nevertheless, due to the consequences of rapid modernization in

concentration of Japanese people on fulfilling material life rather than enriching spiritual

INTRODUCTION
Insurance is a form of risk management in which the insured transfers the cost of potential loss to
another entity in exchange for monetary compensation known as the premium.
Insurance allows individuals, businesses and other entities to protect themselves against
significant potential losses and financial hardship at a reasonably affordable rate. We say
significant because if the potential loss is small, then it doesn t make sense to pay a premium to
protect against the loss. After all, you would not pay a monthly premium to protect against a Rs.
1000 loss because this would not be considered a financial hardship for most.

emotions to those who are victims, and of course to prevent any mistreatment before it occurs.
Another problem that contributes to maltreatment in long term care facilities are mental and
physical abuse, malnutrition, and neglect. These effects may include bone fractures, bed sores,
dehydration, and in some severe cases, death. In a 1998 Time Magazine article titled Shining a
Light on Abuse , written by Mark Thompson, he highlights a statement written by Leslie Olivia to
the Senate Special Committee on Aging. In Olivia s statement her mother,

Mccloskey Cosmological Argument
To say that something is a proof one must understand that this something must have been tested
and with sufficient evidence, in order to produce a belief in its truth. An argument on the other
hand is not so. An argument can be a discussion involving differing points of view. Moreover,
mainly an argument is a person s attempt to persuade or present evidence from their point of view.
Nevertheless, McCloskey makes claims from arguments as though they are proofs. He then gives
reasons as to why these arguments are not adequate enough to be presented as proofs. But
McCloskey has somehow in his mind attempted to present arguments as proofs in order to validate
his personal argument and push his claims as opposition to the Cosmological and Teleological
arguments. But these arguments were not meant to be used as proofs of Gods existencebut to
merely shed insight and to persuade or something one may consider as a basis for their belief.
McCloskey does not allow himself to be persuaded because he is considering these arguments as
proofs which... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First and foremost, the cosmological argument does not necessarily make an argument for God s
existence. This particular argument leads us to a first cause. It is simply saying that everything
that exists needs a cause. According to Manis and Evans, God is not a contingent being. Atheists
argue that everything has a cause or an origin but if God had an Origin then he wouldn t be God.
The cosmological argument is not an end all prove all to the existence of God it is merely an
argument that pushes us to go deeper and to study God and the origin of the universe more
intensively. McCloskey attempts to dismiss this argument altogether but for the previous reasons
mentioned he is misguided when he states that the cosmological argument does not entitle us to
postulate and all powerful, all perfect, uncaused

Current Controversy On Child Discipline
Child Discipline: training to act in accordance with rules; drills. there are two ways of discipline ,
corporal punishment which uses force as a way of discipline and positive discipline which includes
positive reinforcement, taking away privileges, rewarding, and timeouts. A current controversy on
child discipline was seen in 2014 with Adrian Peterson when his son was found with bruises and
injuries. Adrian patterson said that his discipline was positive parenting. When this case was
brought to court the question of rather parents should be allowed to use force when discipline their
child or not. Along with his parenting, discipline varies throughout different cultures. In China the
superior member of the family has the right of obedience,

Internal External Factors of Management
Internal External Factors Internal and external factors have a large impact on the four functions of
management within an organization. What these factors are and the kind of impact they have
depends on the business and its particular goals. McDonald s goal is reflected in its mission
statement which is to be our customers favorite place and way to eat (McDonalds, 2009). In order
to achieve this goal, McDonald s executives and managers must follow the four functions of
managementwhich are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling (Bateman and Snell, 2009).
They must also understand how internal and external factors impact these functions. Internal
factors that McDonald s managers need to consider include the amount of food to... Show more

Innovation can also make a company more profitable and competitive within the marketplace. In
order for an organization to encourage innovation from within they need to clearly delegate the
vision and drive to all management and employees. Diversity and ethics are what create values
within an organization and make it more appealing to not only consumers but employees.
Without diversity and ethics organizations would not have values to focus on. By delegating the
values down through the management team to employees is important for any organization.
Diversity is also important within an organization because diversity is more than just race it is
race, age, and gender. If McDonald s hired only within a certain age group and did not hire a
variety of age ranges then they might find themselves at one point with people in retirement age.
This would create a problem because when they needed to hire younger employees to replace the
older employees as they retired they might not have enough knowledge. Diversity is good within
any organization because it allows for a mixture of knowledge and can benefit the organization
because younger employees that are willing to bring new ideas to an

How to Plan a Family Vacation Essays
How to Plan a Family Vacation
A penny saved is a penny earned. A job worth doing is worth doing right. We apply both of these
sayings to the working world all of the time. Why not apply them to our vacationing world as
well? Like most people, I look forward to a vacation, but planning it can become overwhelming
if you re not prepared. Planning a vacation should be fun and exciting. Vacationing is not always
a priority to many families due to economic distress, but as little as a few hundred dollars you
can plan a weekend getaway that s inexpensive but a lot of fun! The best vacation my family ever
took was one that we didn t stress on planning. My husband and I kept it simple. We packed our
bags early and hid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Consider your finances and what you re willing to spend. After deciding on what weekend you ll
be leaving, finding a place to stay is the next thing to plan. Most places fill up early. Make hotel, car
and other reservations as soon as you can. Quality and prices vary with each hotel. Some rates
are as low as $30 a night, while some rates are as high as $200 a night or more. Picking a room
that s not in a scenic area or without a view is usually cheaper. Each hotel offers different rates and
quality. More expensive places offer kitchenettes, suites, fireplaces, heated pools, and more. Search
online for coupon codes, AAA, AARP, Military or Government discounts. For the least expensive
trip, you could plan a camping trip in a state park, but for some that would mean a larger expense
of purchasing tents, sleeping bags and camping gear. Unless you re prepared for a camping trip,
plan to stay in a hotel or cabin.
Have a checklist prepared when packing for your trip. Know what the climate will be during the
times that you re there. Know what days or nights you ll need formal clothing, casual clothing, or
swimwear. Make sure that you pack so you re not buying needed things that you may already have
at home. Consider the amount of luggage you re taking in case you ll be flying. Pack things such
as moist towlettes, money, passports, medicine and sunglasses. Consider small children when
traveling as they become bored and wear out easily. Pack plenty

Athletes Heart Rate Lab Report
Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to determine whether athletes or non athletes will
recover faster in a span of 10 minutes from an increased heart rate after running one lap around the
track.
Extra Research: To determine what a subject s heart rate should be after exercising, the target heart
rate zone was discovered through research. The target heart rate zone can be determined by
calculating 50% 85% of the subject s maximum heart rate, which is their age subtracted from 220
BPM.
Hypothesis: If five athletes and five non athletes run one lap around the high school track, the heart
rate of the athletes will recover faster because their heart rate will resemble their resting heart rate
more after 10 minutes, in comparison to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The majority of the experiment was testing the numerical value of heart rate, so there was very little
qualitative results. However, as each participant was running they each experienced being flushed
and elevated breathing which are qualitative results.
Quantitative:
In total the average heart rate percentage change was 16.94% for athletes and 11.72% for non
athletes. They all ran the same amount, one lap around the school s track.
Analysis, Discussion, and Conclusion: The purpose of this experiment was to determine whether
athletes or non athletes would experience a high percent change in heart rate after having
experienced a raised heart rate, caused by running one lap around the high school track. The agreed
upon hypothesis was that the five subjects in the athletes category would recover faster, in
comparison to the non athlete category, due to the fact that the athletes hearts are more frequently
exposed to elevated heart rates. After examining the collected data, it was determined that the
hypothesis was refuted, given that the average percent change of the athletes was +16.94%, which
is 5.22% greater than the average percent change of non athletes, as shown in CHART #3

Essay on The Importance of Following Orders
The importance of following orders in a time of war. 1. Team member2. Discipline 3. Causalities
Conclusion: Following Orders in the Armed Services in a Time of War By: Pv2 Beasley
Imagine being in an authoritative position in a war. Sounds cool right? Now imagine if your
subordinates didn t follow the orders you put out to them. You just imagined chaos right? In my
opinion there is no limit to the chaos that could happen if just one soldier didn t follow the orders
given to him/her. It doesn t matter what the rank of the soldier is. Following orders in the armed...

The team I m referring to is simply a cooperative unit. Being a part of a team entitles you to be
responsible for your actions, follow the orders of your subordinates, and perform them with
honor integrity and selfless service. How can following orders in a time of war affect your team
members? Imagine if you are on deployment to Iraq and you or a fellow soldier were told by
your supervisor to fill up the gas cans and bring them down to the motor pool once they were
filled and fill the vehicles up. What if you or the soldier decided to perform the order in your
own time and you/ they forget. Now imagine your team is given an order to move out due to
hostile parties moving in. Your team goes to the vehicles start them up and realize they are all
low on gas. I hope that expresses the importance of following orders while being a part of the
armed services in a time of war. The members of the armed forces are well know, and well
respected for their discipline. Part of that discipline comes from the ability to follow the orders
of your subordinates, even if they don t feel like it or don t agree with them. How disciplined
can a soldier be if they don t follow orders. The soldier in question can t be very disciplined if
they fail to follow instructions right? It goes against everything a soldier stands for. This makes
them a danger to their team members, especially in a time of war. I do not think

Sodium Benzoate Experiment
The experiment was conducted to test the taste and perception of males and females. It was
predicted that if you are a male then you will test lower on the bitter scale. It was also predicted
that if you taste the Sodium Benzoate as bitter then you will rate things higher on the bitter scale. A
group of six formed and recorded their perception of different test strips and substances. A bitter
sweet scale was used to test how the participants judged their tasteperception. The scale was as
follows 10 being extremely bitter and 1 being extremely sweet. A Hot Cold scale was also used.
The scale was as follows 10 being extremely hot and 1 being extremely cold. The results were as
follows, the females and male tested around the same on the bittersweet scale. There also wasn t
much of a difference between the average hot cold perception. The hypotheses were not supported.
Introduction/Background ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The participant s results did not vary much. Although there were a few instances when someone
recorded a significantly higher or lower result, the results showed that everyone s taste perception
wasn t far from each other. Since everyone s data were similar then the hypothesis if you taste the
Sodium Benzoate as bitter then you will rate things higher on the bitter scale is not supported. If it
was supported, then those that put Sodium Benzoate as bitter would ve rated things higher on the
scale. The hypothesis that if you are a male then you will test lower on the bitter scale was also
not supported. If it was supported, then the females wouldn t test lower than the males. A major
flaw in this experiment is having only one male versus six females. To get more accurate results the
amount of each gender should be even. Another flaw of this experiment can also be not rinsing your
mouth out enough to get rid of the taste from previous

The Social Cognitive Theory Of Moral Disengagement
In 1986, Albert Bandura explored the concept of moral disengagement and its involvement in
individuals accepting and encouraging the act of violence and other immoral activities while
justifying their behavior. Moral disengagement, a term from social psychology, is the notion that
focuses on the process in which an individual convince themselves that their morals or ethical
standards do not apply to a certain situation. When this occurs, the individual has disabled the
mechanism of self condemnation and is separating themselves from their morals and acting in
inhumane ways. Many people disengage themselves from their morals in certain situations because
they feel their actions are justified, or they defuse the responsibility to others and believe that
someone else will take charge. The purpose of this paper is to explore the social cognitive theory
of moral disengagement and how well it does at explaining why humans detach themselves from
their moralityand justify their misconduct, contrary to the rationalist, psychological and socio
structural theories. Based on the book Everybody Does It by Thomas Gabor (1994), the
universality of moral disengagement is seen in all kinds of people from all kinds of statuses and
ways of life. Many psychological theories regarding morality have concentrated on the formal
character of moral reasoning to the neglect of moral conduct. In the social cognitive theory of
moral self, reasoning based on morals is linked to moral actions via

Analyzing Akira Kurosawa s The Blizzard
Yume Dreams Akira Kurosawa Japan 1990 115 minutes Kurosawa first gives the viewer a true
sense of the plot in his third vignette titled The Blizzard. Here the viewer(s) see the man along
with others struggling against the bitter cold storm. At the peak of the storm the men seemingly
give up entirely. The main character shows his strength by defeating ultimately his own
paranormal figure. This allows the man to not only help himself, but the other men along with
him as well. His choice ultimately saved them all. This idea of choice is shown in the following
vignette as well The Tunnel. Here a dog appears to warn the man to stay out of or to stay away
from the tunnel. The man walks through the tunnel slowly and cautiously. He gives the illusion that
he is looking at something he remembers or his past per se. Reaching the end of the tunnel he is
faced with men of his past. He then tells the men about his failed choice to put them into action. His
determination to send the men back to where they are from, matches the mountain climbers will to
resist sleep. This appears again within the vignette The Village of the Watermills. Kurosawa shows
choices through the people of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Compare The Passionate Shepherd To His Love
Renaissance poet Marlowe, within The Passionate Shepherd to his Love, and the Restoration poet
Marvell, within To His Coy Mistress, present love as a necessity. Despite the differing contexts,
with their incompatible ethical and moral attitudes, they still concern themselves with the same
fundamental idea that men will assert their patriarchal dominance onto women in order to have sex.
By focussing on the tone of the two poems one can draw similarities within how the male
imperative and female reluctance mirrors the social context of time and religious morality.
Marlowe evokes this message through the utilisation of the hyperbolic use of the possessive
pronoun my in accordance with imperatives; Come live with me and be my love, / And we will all
the pleasures prove . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike Shakespeare, who wrote romance, Marlowe is attempting to create passion and the half
rhyme depicts this passion. At times, the person will not understand the desire and it will just
simply be there and come to fruition through chance. The line further allows for this female
subservience to the man with the possessive pronoun my depicting that she is the man s property
and the lack of identity to the woman throughout the poem reiterates this point of view that the
male has to assert his dominance through the manifestation of every materialistic aspect of life. The
utilisation of my love is paradoxical to the nature of

The Most Brutal Dictators Of Jeff Stalin
I agree with this quote the most even though it was said by one of the most brutal dictators in the
world, Josef Stalin. Education is an extremely powerful object that you need to use carefully. In
other words supply the student with the correct and fact based answer rather than an answer that
you think is correct.
In America a good education is the difference between working at Walmart, and being a computer
programer at Google. A good education is one that has these qualities, it is enticing to the student, it
prepares the student for the world to come, and provides the student with facts that they can make
their own opinions on. Enticing is key to keep the student focus on school rather than other things.

Yes the accident was fatal, but that s where the word accident comes in. Now I am not very sure
what all the chitter chatter about some invisible wall is, but they are full of it! I now have this

  • 2. Wisdom Of Humility In Antigone Humility is the antibiotic to almost every disease, yet throughout this semester I have witnessed many literary characters fall before they are cured. In East Coker, T.S. Eliot wrote, The only wisdom we hope to acquire/Is the wisdom of humility, humility is endless. I believe that many characters realized the benefits of humility, but some were in too deep to take advantage. Creon, Victor and Ivan come from different time periods, different languages, even different worlds but they all learned the powerful lesson of humility through their suffering and pain. Creon, the antagonist of Sophocles s play Antigoneis a great example of a man who learns humility after causing mass destruction all around him. In the play, Creon is the King of Thebes and he is solely interested in political and social order. The previous King and Creon s brother, Oedipusdied and his sons Eteocles and Polynices were suppose to rotate the throne. However, the brothers ended up killing each other in a duel which led to Creo taking power. Creon angered his niece Antigone when he allowed her brother Eteocles to be given proper funeral honors, but not her brother Polynices. To make things more complicated, Haemon, Creon s son is in love and intends on marrying Antigone. Going against Creon s law, Antigone gives her brother Polyneices a proper burial and is caught. Creon condemns her to death despite the outcries of the chorus and his son. He begins to have remorse and says that she may be freed, but ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Dissociative Identity Disorder and Communication Essay In this critical reflection paper, I will aim to discuss ways in which those diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) attempt to communicate with their co personalities, also how those with DID sort through the multi personality layers within themselves to aim for a sense of normality, calmness and co existence. Communication is an important part of those diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorders. DID can commonly be described as a severe condition in which two or more distinct identities, or personality states, are present in and alternately take control of an individual, John Wiley (2012). The process involved in breaking down the layers of personality begins with looking at the Russian Matouschka dolls analogy, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Assagioli (1984), developed the theoretical base of psychosynthesis to assist those with DID to break down the barriers of dissociative symptoms. Psychosynthesis is described as being closely related to Existential therapy a kind of psychotherapy that emphasizes the development of a sense of self direction through choice, awareness, and acceptance of individual responsibility, Schneider. K Rollo. M, (2012). • 4. Essay on Juice Guys Case Study Analysis Juice Guysв„ў In the summer of 1998, Nantucket Nectar created a subsidiary of their brand called Juice Guys. This new product was comprised of fresh juice and fruit smoothie drinks that were taking over the West Coast. Within three and a half months, Juice Guys had sold a total of 175,000 items ranging from smoothies, yogurts, sorbets, Nantucket Nectar drinks and fresh squeezed juices. JuiceGuys revenue went up to 91% and they made a profit of $227,000 in sales. Noticing the tremendous success within the industry in such a short time, Nantucket Nectar and Juice Guys decided to expand this new juice retail concept into the East Coast. Their primary focus within the East Coast was expansion into the Boston market. Although this... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The article stated that, many East Coast baby boomers were wondering, what s a smoothie? (Fox Rushmore, 1999, p. 4). This statement not only indicated that people in the East Coast were not aware of this new juice trend, it also stated that consumers demands and tastes can greatly change from one demographic to another (Fox Rushmore, 1999, p. 4); whereas allowing Juice Guys the opportunity to sell more than just juice and also resulting in Juice Guys indentifying between the ages of 18 35 to be their leading influential target market. With having only one of The Four Ps, (the place), Juice Guys had to come up with a marketing plan to develop the other three Ps; which were of product, promotion and price. Juice Guys knew they wanted to sell fresh juices and fruit smoothies; however, they needed to know if the consumers wanted more than just those products. Also, they needed to find a way to promote their new products and make their prices economically feasible for the consumers in this new place; which was Boston. In order to accomplish this, they needed consumers to let them know what they thought was the ultimate juice shop. Marketing research defined is the systematic design, collection, analysis, and reporting of data and findings relevant to a specific marketing situation facing the company (Kotler Keller, 2009, p. • 5. Informative Essay On Albinism How many of you know someone with albinism? Can you visualize that person? Or what do you think an albino looks like? What stereotype comes to mind? I m sure many of you may think that albinos have the red or pink eyes with white skin and hair, but most of you probably don t know that is not always true. For those of you who don t know, I have a type of albinism that will be discussing today along with what albinism, who gets it, the different types, the symptoms, and if there is a treatment or not. Most of you may ask, What is albinism and who gets it? Albinism is a rare genetic disorder that causes the skin, hair, and eyes to have little to no color. About 1 in 18,000 to 20,000 people in the United States have a form of albinism, stated by Rose Kivi, author of the article Albinism Health line published on November 23, 2015. Albinism is caused by a mutation in one of several genes. It also has a defect in one of several genes that produce or distribute melanin. Melanin is the pigment responsible for the color of the skin, hair and eyes. People who have albinism are more susceptible to developing skin cancer because there is a lack of melanin produced in the body. Melanin also plays a huge role in the eyes, so the lack of pigment causes them to be extremely sensitive to light, according to the article Albinism last updated on May 24, 2016. The people who are at risk for albinism are people who inherit a gene from one or both of their parents if they have the gene ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Theories Of Motivation And Motivation 2.2Motivation Kressler (2003, 1 2) defines motivation as a rationale behind human behavior; anyone who has motives is motivated and has reasons and causes for their actions and inaction. Rationale to work is generally a combination of necessity to work, to satisfy individual needs and to avoid frustration. However motivation is highly personal and people react differently to motivational factors. Armstrong (2006, 317) continues that motivation has three dimension; direction that tells what person is trying to do, effort which explains how hard persons is trying and persistence that clarifies how long person keeps on trying. Cam eron Pierce (2002, 11) even claimed that money or other high rewards can be harmful or lead to negative motivation if they are frequently used since employees might get used to it and when monetary rewards are being discontinued it can make them do less and more importantly enjoy less of their doing since there is no reward ... • 7. Why Did The Ussr Lose Ww2 Essay What if the USSR pulled out of World War II as they had in WWI? If the USSR had pulled out of the war, Germany would have had a greater fighting chance to win WWI since they would only have to focus on a one front war. Also since Germany had become much stronger during WWII than during WWI, they would have had a better chance of winning the war because of their advanced technology that they had brought out during WWII. Focusing on the topic of Germany only having to fight on the western front would have been a huge advantage to Germany because on the Eastern Front the USSR was causing three quarters of Germany s military casualties and was keeping Germany from being able to launch massive attacks on the Western Front. On the other hand, if the USSR would have pulled out late in the war, the Allies would have still won because the US had built a strong and powerful navy surpassing the navies of Britain and Japan, and also surpassing the military power of Germany. • 8. Central Dewitt Football Program Analysis The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will, and a lack to change Vince Lombardi. Central Dewitt s football program usually has a tradition of great success and excellent morals. Unfortunately, in the 2014 and 2015 footballseason they have a combined record of 5 13, which does not live up to the standards of the DeWitt community. There are many problems circulating the football program, but most involve the lack of experience in coaching. Central Dewitt s losing football record for the past two seasons can be solved by coaches properly developing their athletes, incorporating new offensive and defensive strategies, and increasing player participation.... The Sabers currently run an offense called the triple option. In this more dynamic and elaborate offense, they leave opponents unblocked making them choose to tackle the quarterback or the fullback. If they tackle the fullback, the quarterback then has the option to keep it himself or pitch it to the running back thus giving us the triple option. Head coach Mike Miller brought the offense to Central Dewitt in 2012 during his debut season. The sabers saw great success in Miller s first season going 8 4, winning the district six title and rushing for 3,644 yards (CDSfootball). It did not take long for opposing coaches to find ways to counter this run dominant offense. In coach Millers previous two seasons the sabers have only run for a combined total 3,700 yards (CDSfootball). This is not the only problem that lies within Central Sabers schemes. The Sabers run a base 4 3 defense, which means there are 4 down lineman and 3 linebackers. Although this is a popular defense, in modern football you need to run multiple defenses to throw off opposing offenses. The sabers do not run multiple defenses, and this allows offenses to get in a rhythm, and as a result the sabers allowed an average of 36 points a game in 2015 (quicksstats). The need for change is evident in the Central Sabers program. The real question is how to change the schemes, so the Sabers can get back on their winning ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This threat can come in so many different fashions that it requires a collaborative effort to prevent its effects. If a terrorist has access to an item that can cause harm then it can be added to the vast list of threats. There have been terrorist attacks that have occurred utilizing explosives, chemical weapons, small arms attacks, toxic industrial chemical and if other threats are available then these threats would be used to cause mass causalities. The terrorist threat may have a strong hold in certain parts of the Middle East but the threat has traveled globally. This particular archetype can often be confusing, because in stories the reader is often lead to believe that something or someone represents good or evil, but it does not. More often than not the evil character is either crazy or was raised wrongly. Evil characters in Good vs. Evil stories are often not truly evil but either mental unstable or not taught right from wrong. The entirety of the Inheritance series is based on two archetypes, Good vs. Evil and Man vs. Man. These two archetypes are the underlying archetypes. Each book also has its own archetypes that overlays the first two mentioned. • 12. The Theme Of Homo Eroticism Within The Play As You Like It... Within this analysis, I will inquire into the theme of homo eroticism within the play As You Like It and how it differs from various other plays written by Shakespeare and elaborate on how ground breaking this play was during the time it was written and when it was performed, the differences in social constructs between then and now the differing views of society in the time it was written and the present day. As You Like Its first performance was in London in 1740, a time when popular literature associated homoeroticism with revulsion, violent [for] the loathsome and evil thing an to the Elizabethans homoeroticism was abhorred, polluted and unclean... and all that is beastly and obscene . (Sokolovic Cizmek, 2003, P) As odd as it may sound, one may believe from that, that Elizabethan society wouldn t tolerate anything slightly resembling homoeroticism, yet homoerotic practice was widespread in the early modern period among both sexes (Bray, 1993). An exerpt from Klarisa Sokolovic Cizmek s journal article Before exploring homoeroticism, it is important to determine an understanding of what the term is. As defined by Oxford English Dictionary, Homoeroticism is; pertaining to or characterized by a tendency for erotic emotions to be centred on a person of the same sex; of or pertaining to a homo erotic person . It is crucial to not mistake homo eroticism as merely a synonym of homosexuality, because it is an entirely different concept. Homo eroticism refers to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 15. The Reluctant Fundamentalist Essay Fundamentalism is a strict adherence to a set of ideas or beliefs that are conservative in nature. It is a pejorative term usually associated with religious fanaticism. Usually, this is what comes to mind when there is mention of a fundamentalist. However, in Mohsin Hamid s The Reluctant Fundamentalist starring the protagonist Changez, a Pakistani Princetonian who is a top ranked employee at a prestigious New York valuation firm, turns out not to be an Islamic fundamentalist, but a reluctant fundamentalist of US Capitalism. Hamid challenges readers to reevaluate their preconceived notions and prejudices of people different from themselves in post 9/11 America by employing the use of motifs, aphorism, and suspense, to create a conflation... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hamid, through his choice of names, brilliantly doubles his characters as motifs. All the significant characters have a symbolic identity and thus, he is simultaneously telling two stories, but not in the traditional sense expected of a frame story, for this is not a story within a story, but rather, a story behind a story. The frame takes Changez back to the past, but when he finishes retelling the past, the frame is no more and the reader is back in the present. Therefore, when the past is put in conjunction with the happenings in the cafe, only one story is being told. The second story is conveyed through the interaction of the motifs and requires a little intuition (not that much) on the reader s part to decipher its meaning. In using the motifs to convey a variety of messages, the relationship between Changez and Erica is especially saturated with clues of their secret identities. The fact that Shakespeare would even put it on written page and have it performed shows that he at least thought that love is at least a partially romantic ideal. It is later in the play that he begins to question that with how the characters end up that eventually creates his full interpretation of love as an ideal. It has been proven that if you work a full time minimum wage job you will still live well below the poverty level. Illegal immigrants often have more than one job to make up for this deficit, while still paying taxes on those earned wages. President Trump said in his campaign about illegal immigrants from Mexico that They re bringing drugs. They re bringing crime. They re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people. In fact, this is so far removed from the truth. Many illegal immigrants are looking for better living conditions and to simply to work for a living, most are good people . Trump seems to think that a wall can stop the flow of drugs and guns across the border. Marine Insurance INTRODUCTION Insurance is a form of risk management in which the insured transfers the cost of potential loss to another entity in exchange for monetary compensation known as the premium. Insurance allows individuals, businesses and other entities to protect themselves against significant potential losses and financial hardship at a reasonably affordable rate. We say significant because if the potential loss is small, then it doesn t make sense to pay a premium to protect against the loss. After all, you would not pay a monthly premium to protect against a Rs. 1000 loss because this would not be considered a financial hardship for most. In one form or another, we all own insurance. Many of these problems towards elders are preventable, but some nurse aids fail to do their jobs. The best solution for elderly abuse is prevention. Preventing abuse is one way to educate future residents and victims of elder abuse about how to deal with this situation. There are many prevention programs across the nation, but one in particular is known as The National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (NCPEA). This association was established in the year 1988 to serve as information and materials on abuse and neglect for older persons in long term care facilities. This committee s purpose is to educate the public about neglect and abuse towards elders, to respond to the needs of victims, to support and inform the rights of an individual, to strengthen emotions to those who are victims, and of course to prevent any mistreatment before it occurs. Another problem that contributes to maltreatment in long term care facilities are mental and physical abuse, malnutrition, and neglect. Mccloskey Cosmological Argument To say that something is a proof one must understand that this something must have been tested and with sufficient evidence, in order to produce a belief in its truth. An argument on the other hand is not so. An argument can be a discussion involving differing points of view. Moreover, mainly an argument is a person s attempt to persuade or present evidence from their point of view. Nevertheless, McCloskey makes claims from arguments as though they are proofs. He then gives reasons as to why these arguments are not adequate enough to be presented as proofs. But McCloskey has somehow in his mind attempted to present arguments as proofs in order to validate his personal argument and push his claims as opposition to the Cosmological and Teleological arguments. But these arguments were not meant to be used as proofs of Gods existencebut to merely shed insight and to persuade or something one may consider as a basis for their belief. It is simply saying that everything that exists needs a cause. According to Manis and Evans, God is not a contingent being. Atheists argue that everything has a cause or an origin but if God had an Origin then he wouldn t be God. The cosmological argument is not an end all prove all to the existence of God it is merely an argument that pushes us to go deeper and to study God and the origin of the universe more intensively. Imagine if you are on deployment to Iraq and you or a fellow soldier were told by your supervisor to fill up the gas cans and bring them down to the motor pool once they were filled and fill the vehicles up. What if you or the soldier decided to perform the order in your own time and you/ they forget. Now imagine your team is given an order to move out due to hostile parties moving in. • 47. The Social Cognitive Theory Of Moral Disengagement In 1986, Albert Bandura explored the concept of moral disengagement and its involvement in individuals accepting and encouraging the act of violence and other immoral activities while justifying their behavior. Moral disengagement, a term from social psychology, is the notion that focuses on the process in which an individual convince themselves that their morals or ethical standards do not apply to a certain situation. When this occurs, the individual has disabled the mechanism of self condemnation and is separating themselves from their morals and acting in inhumane ways. Many people disengage themselves from their morals in certain situations because they feel their actions are justified, or they defuse the responsibility to others and believe that someone else will take charge. The purpose of this paper is to explore the social cognitive theory of moral disengagement and how well it does at explaining why humans detach themselves from their moralityand justify their misconduct, contrary to the rationalist, psychological and socio structural theories. Based on the book Everybody Does It by Thomas Gabor (1994), the universality of moral disengagement is seen in all kinds of people from all kinds of statuses and ways of life. Many psychological theories regarding morality have concentrated on the formal character of moral reasoning to the neglect of moral conduct. The main character shows his strength by defeating ultimately his own paranormal figure. This allows the man to not only help himself, but the other men along with him as well. The man walks through the tunnel slowly and cautiously. He gives the illusion that he is looking at something he remembers or his past per se. Reaching the end of the tunnel he is faced with men of his past. He then tells the men about his failed choice to put them into action. Despite the differing contexts, with their incompatible ethical and moral attitudes, they still concern themselves with the same fundamental idea that men will assert their patriarchal dominance onto women in order to have sex. By focussing on the tone of the two poems one can draw similarities within how the male imperative and female reluctance mirrors the social context of time and religious morality.
