The Crucible Fire Analysis
The first section is seen through Benjamin s eyes takes place on April 7, 1928, Saturday before
Easter Sunday. It was Benjy s thirty third birthday. However, Benjy has mental ill; he has the mind
of a child and does not understand the connection of things around him. He remembers nothing
except the pastwith his sister, Caddy. Throughout Benjamin section, fire is mentioned more than
forty times. Benjy is fascinated by the fire: What is fire to Benjy? It is something he can see as
more immediate and concrete than anything with perhaps the exception of Caddy (Martin 2).
Benjamin seems to live mostly in the past before Caddy moved out of the house. Sometimes, Benjy
gets upset and panic while living in the memory or when Luster, who is watching him, teases him....

I hushed (Willams 56). Fire reminds Benjy of his sister Caddy; it is can calm him down just like
Caddy. Caddy clearly loves Benjy and treats him with great kindness; in return, he idolizes and
adores Caddy. Since his own mother is constantly sick and frequently neglects her children,
Caddy is a mother to Benjamin; she knows exactly how to relax and calm Benjy while their
mother would rather just let Benjy cry. Caddy also takes responsibility for Benjy with their father:
Are you going to take good care of Maury. Yes. Caddy said (66). Because Caddy is considerable the
only one in the family cares about Benjy, he becomes too attached to Caddy. He does not want
Caddy to ever leave him. After Caddy gets married and moves away from home, he keeps waiting

Criminal Justice Harlan
Within Justice J. Harlan s dissenting argument in Katz v. United States (1967), Justice Harlan re
identifies the main principles of the two fold requirement known as, the reasonable expectation of
privacy test (R.E.P.). According to Justice Harlan, the first fold, of this two part fold requirement,
must illustrate a person [...] [exhibiting] an actual (subjective) expectation of privacy and, second,
that the expectation be one that society is prepared to recognize as reasonable . Thus, we are able to
utilize Justice Harlan s dissenting argument of the two fold requirement the R.E.P. test in regards to

The United States Fiscal Year 2016 Is From October 1, 2015,
The United States fiscal year 2016 is from October 1, 2015, to September 30, 2016. The requested
budget was submitted to the 114th Congress. Congress creates a new budget for the United States
every year. This process is also called the appropriation process. These bills specify how much
money will go to the different government agencies and government programs. Congress will then
have to pass legislation that will provide the federal government the authority to spend the money
giving to them.
There are five key steps in the budgeting process
1.The President will submit a budget request to Congress. This is just a proposal.
2.The House and Senate pass budget resolutions They must vote on their own budget resolutions.
3.House and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The money for the budget comes from income taxes, payroll taxes, and corporate income. These
are the three main sources of the budget s revenue. Income taxes are that the government collects
from the American people. Income taxes make up the federal government s largest revenue
source. Payroll taxes are designated as trust funds. As trust funds, the money collect can only be
used for a very specific purpose such as Social Security. Corporate taxes are paid by companies,
though a marginal tax rate anywhere from fifteen percent to thirdly five percent depending on how
much profit the corporation made. There are also a couple of other types of taxes that add to the
revenue such as excise taxes and miscellaneous taxes. In 2016, individual income tax made up forty
nine percent, which is up five percent from 2015. Payroll taxes made up thirty three percent,
which was also up five percent from the following year. This was due to the growth in people
wages and salaries. Corporate taxes made up nine percent, which fell thirteen percent from the
following year. Excise taxes made up three percent and miscellaneous taxes rounded the budget at
seven percent. The total revenues for the government in 2016 were $2.99 trillion dollars.
So, where does the money go? Below I will just highlight some of the bigger areas of where the
money goes.
Healthcare accounts for more than $1.1 trillion of the federal budget. This is caused by programs

Communicable disease outbreak of the Measles
Communicable disease outbreak occurs when there is a larger then expected incidence of a
disease. It can affect a small group or thousands of people in a region. In some instances even just
two independent cases can lead to an outbreak, eventually leading to an epidemic, or pandemic
which refers to a global outbreak. Measles is a communicable disease that is highly contagious
according to the World Health Organization (WHO). The good news is that it is a preventable
disease, because there is a vaccine that is available to prevent people from contracting it. One
complication that arises is when some people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This disease can lead to severe pneumonia, diarrhea, encephalitis and in a worst case scenario could
even cause death.
Facts and figures available to study the epidemiological data for the outbreak of measles include
gathering suspected and confirmed cases of this disease from the World Health Organization.
This is done by gathering serum samples from all suspected cases to determine if a measles
specific immunoglobulin antibody is detected. This particular disease lives in the nose and throat
of the infected individual and is considered contagious for a period of four days before the rash
appears and for a further four days after the sighting of the rash.
The route of transmission of the disease is via infected droplets that spray into the air when
people cough, sneeze or talk. These droplets can then be inhaled by other people who are in
close proximity to the person who is infected. Unfortunately, these droplets can remain active and
contagious for several hours on a surface, such that when you touch it with your fingers and then
touch your nose or mouth you can become infected. While most cases are easily diagnosed by
simply looking at the patient, in the majority of cases it is preferable to have blood tests to
confirm 100%. Typically the patient will have a rash that looks like small, bright Koplik s spots on
the inside

Oxford University, England in 1976 ( Sir Timothy Berners Lee. ). A common title that Tim could
be referred to as is a computer scientist or inventor. The following will discuss some of his
creations, accomplishments, current career positions and awards.
Tim Berners Lee s biggest accomplishment was creating the web. In 1989 he created the World
Wide Webat the European Particle Physics Laboratory. It started as a distributed collaborative
hyper media information system. Tim designed it as a protocol for linking a multiplicity of

For a short look at his list, he has received awards such as; the Finland Millennium Prize in 2004,
the UK s Order of Merit in 2007 which is a personal gift of the monarch limited to just 24 living
recipients, and he was elected as a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in
2009. He was the first to receive the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering in 2013 and was
knighted by H.M. Queen Elizabeth in 2004. Tim has received over 10 honorary doctorates, and is
a member of the Internet Hall of Fame (Clarke, Paul). Even with keeping the list short it is still
safe to say that Tim Berners Lee is very accomplished.
After seeing all of Tim Berners Lee s accomplishments and awards it is easy to see that he is a
very important figure in todays society. Without his inventions and accomplishments society
would not be as advanced in the multimedia and web area. Creating shortcuts, links and
organizing pages continuously makes using the web simple and easy. Being given awards for all

History Of Vietnam War Drafting
A little over fifty eight thousand Americans died in the Vietnam war. This number could have
been decreased by a lot if only the United states were intelligent about the situation. War drafting
was always argued back in the day and unfortunately the US did not take this away until the end of
the war. The Vietnam war lasted roughly 20 years from 1955 to 1975. We did not put an end to
drafting until 1973. The United Statesdrafted mainly poor class people and rarely the upper class
were involved. The war drafting was not the only problem going on at the time. President Richard
Nixon did not want
Lochard 1 to be the first president to lose a war. The men kept on being drafted to be sent over and
this is how most of them died. John says, Each

The Importance of Discipline
The Importance of Discipline
By: Alexis Wagner
June 14, 2013
The dictionary definition for discipline is a branch of learning, training that develops self control.
Discipline to me is a form of work that takes time; but, in the end works for your good. A person
can be someone disciplined or taught a new way of doing something they can t or don t want to do,
or be self disciplined, already possessing an inner strength of mind and determination to do these
things own their own. (Control is a key factor in self discipline.) Mastering the ability to make
yourself do something over and over again until you get it right is self discipline. Without discipline
no one would push themselves or be pushed by others into achieving things ... Show more content

Obedience is being willing to do a command , being able to follow instructions, being able to do
things as they were told (meaning correctly), and being able to do this when they were told.
Obedience shows a common feature that we see with discipline.
If you can sing very well but your singing coach wants you to sing it an octave higher, that is an
example of where discipline is needed. You needto first accept the fact that the coach is trying to
help you and improve your singing abilities. You have to get out of your comfort zone and work
towards hitting that note and achieving that goal. Instead of you looking at the task as a form of
punishment, you should look at it as reaching a higher ground, or going to the next level in your
singing career. All of these things you must do to accomplish that one task, and not only will it
require dedication, it will require discipline, not only for others but for you.
Discipline in schools may reduce the violence and vandalism and help students to focus better on
their studies and future careers. Discipline is important in the households most of all. Parents must
raise their children in a pleasant and disciplined atmosphere. They should teach them the right
values. They should themselves lead an orderly life so that their children can learn from their
examples. Talking less in class, raising your hand, asking questions, talking softer, and speaking up
are all things people

Reservation Blues Summary
In the story of reservation blues by sherman alexie the opening chapter starts off with the literary
device of foreshadowing. In the one hundred and eleven years since the creation of the spokane
indian reservation in 1881, not one person, indian or otherwise, had arrived there by accident.
Wellpinit, the only town the reservation, did not exist on most maps, so the black stranger
surprised the whole tribe when he appeared with nothing more than the suit he wore and guitar
slung over his back. (pg.1 Alexie, S. (2014). Reservation blues. Grove Press) The opening scene
in this chapter gave me the feel of an mystical spooky setting. This lead me to believe that this
character Robert Johnson would have a big part in this story. Robert johnson is an... Show more

The biggest impact throughout this whole story to me was the guitar. The guitar took a huge
toll on its owners life. It led the owner into temptations of fame and the sacrifices that must be
made to retrieve it. The guitar being an instrument also acts like its own person. It gives off a
grand amount of negative energy. I feel as if sherman alexie used his text to put across a point of
how people cherish fame and fortune too much. His story put off that cheaters never win feel.
The overall theme i recieved from this book is the power of music.he connects it through all
characters in the book. i would say that because of How he used his characters Robert and Victor
they both wanted to be the best blues players in the world they seeked it so much that they were
willing to give up their souls for it. Not knowing the mistake they ve made is where the cheaters

Morgan and Tyler
The evolutionistic theory refers to the biological concept of progress and development. The theory
states that organisms were meant to increase in complexity, and later on included cultural and
social evolution by comparing primitive tribal groups to modern society, and studying how certain
aspects in the tribal groups were repeated all over the continent. Edward B. Tylor and Lewis H.
Morgan brought the term evolution to anthropology, which makes them crucial to the growth and
improvement of anthropology.
Morgan focused on building upon his theory of social evolution in which he made links between
social and technological progress. He studied and emphasized the kinship relationships across

Edward Burnett Tylor was an Englishman who focused mainly on the development of religion but
also studied human cultural development and Montesquieu s three stages of savagery, barbarism
and civilization. He also looked at moral qualities by focusing and comparing primitive people to
civilization.
Even though Tylor did not do any ethnographical field work or trust information from colonies or
missionaries, he went on holidays to warm climates due to his sickness, where he then learnt and
participated in different cultures and societies. He believed that people should appreciate new
places and the view of different cultures.
Tylor expanded on Montesquieu s ideas and said the savagery time was the time when there was
no technology or in other words, technology was considered as rocks or stone tools, and then he
referred to barbarism as the time of agriculture and food production and finally, civilization which
to him meant the invention of writing. Taylor also believed that civilization was a time of
happiness and where moral qualities were built.
Even though Tylor focused on aspects Morgan didn t in Montesquieu s theory, he was mostly
interested by religion and the evolution of it. He studied the origin of the religion and thought the
belief in spirits and god had to be a universal response to universal experiences such as death,
dreams and reflected images and said these concepts would form a duality

The Impact Of Marketing On Online Marketing Essay
SMEs (Small and medium enterprises) come under various categories such as F B or Fashion or
lifestyle or IT or electronics or pharma or events or ecommerce brands and so on. The need for a
six figure marketing budget to make social work is a misconception.
In fact, small businesses are more likely to succeed with this kind of marketing as they get to
interact with a niche audience and social metrics can be used to understand their reach. This is
much better than paying heed to such misconceptions and including them in their marketing
strategy or business modules.
This media plays an important role in online marketing and is an ideal medium through which an
SME can acquire, nurture and increase leads. It also allows you to engage with your customer base,
while expanding it through referrals and recommendations.
But if it s so powerful, where are the measuring factors? It differs from enterprise to enterprise or
business to business. Some SMEs measure success using this marketing in terms of likes, reached
users, engaged users, sales and so on. Some of the known tools used to measure social reach are
simplymeasured.com, konnectsocial.com, tweetstats.com, and hashtracking.com.
There were the times when brands and SMEs used to believe that social media is a non
dependent medium. But now it is an important aspect of marketing tactics for ROI. The belief
that it is a fad is long gone. In fact, it is a powerful branding tool and has become an essential part
of any brand s

Comparing Macbeth And Mean Girls
The play Macbeth is a story in which many different themes are represented. A man named
Macbeth becomes king of Scotland by murdering the former king, which leads to further violence,
deceit, and corruption. It s a story with different characters who personify power, deception,
manipulation, and loyalty. Although it is certainly a very unique story, it also shares some
similarities with the movie Mean Girls. Despite the different time periods, the plot and characters in
Mean Girls truly reflect that of Macbeth. Between these two stories, there are several themes
including deception, appearance vs. reality, and manipulation.

Temperament As An Explanation Of Adolescent Risk
1.Temperament Temperament is defined as a characteristic mode of behaviour or reaction of a
person or an animal (Coleman 2009). Temperament effects many aspects of life and is a broad
concept that cannot be directly measured, so many researchers have attempted to measure
indirectly e.g. in gambling behaviour (Caspi 2001). Although considered innate, it has been
shown that it can change to some degree (Moffet et. al 2011). An important aspect of
temperament in relation to risk taking behaviour is that of self control. Temperament as an
explanation of adolescent risk taking has some evidence to support it. To look at risk taking
behaviours, Caspi (2011) studied the temperament s effect on gambling. They observed a
sample of three year olds to classify them into five temperament categories. They later conducted
face to face interviews with the same group at 21 and 32 years old. They found that children
who were classified as under controlled at age 3 were two times more likely to display
disorganised gambling behaviour compared to the well adjusted group. These findings were
independent of intelligence and socio economic status. Moffet et al. (2011) did a longitudinal
observational study on children from birth until 32 years old, looking at self control . This was to
assess whether children s self control levels predicted health issues, wealth outcomes, and criminal
convictions. They found that the differences in level of self control did predict these outcomes, and

Accountability for health care is collectively maintained by the state and the twenty regions across
the country according to the Italian Constitution (Donatini, 2013). The central government duties
include setting the fundamental principles and goals of the health system while also defining the

The National Response Framework (NRF)
Introduction Disasters are incidents that most hope to avoid but in reality they happen often.
Preparation for these events is necessary if the damage and loss of life is to be mitigated. Several
events have occurred in the last decade that has increased awareness of the necessity of emergency
management. Events such Hurricane Katrinaand the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Both of these events had
massive death tolls and millions of dollars worth of property damage. They both resulted in a public

This means that a certain response is not required like a plan would necessitate. The size of the
disaster would dictate the size of the response. Not all disaster incidents require a federal or even
state response. The framework allows for part to be requested as needed. The local government
can request the help of the state and then the state can request the help of the federal government.
Though for some agencies to be involved on a local level the state or full federal invention is not
required. This way only the minimum level of assistance and resources necessitated are dispatched.
This also permits that resources and personnel are not wasted on one disaster that could be used
elsewhere. The scalability of response is key in creating efficiency and effectiveness within
emergency management. The final strength of the NRF is that is expressly informs state and local
governments of the available resources for receiving federal assistance. The emergency support

organization handles certain issues that may arise within a disaster incident. The chart also goes

This song started as a bluesy guitar riff with a few lines of lyrics, and evolved into one of the

to add a dirtier, less refined sound, but his vision for the song always involved horns that to fill
the space on the final track. However Oldham, the producer of The Rolling Stones, liked the
distorted guitar effect and convinced the band to forget about the horns and make it rock and
roll. This ended up being great advice, because when they released it as a single it quickly shot
to the top of the charts, even with some censorship by radio stations. Some radio stations refused
to air the song because they felt the lyrics were too sexually suggestive, or didn t approve of the
anti consumerism message it conveyed. Regardless, it was number one on the charts within a

Biblical Worldview Model
A Biblical world worldview is how a Bible believing Christian ought to see the world. The basic
components that make up a biblical world view are well to start the Bible is God breathed and
therefore has ultimate authority and is fully true. The Bible gives believers some clear cut
commands that should be used in developing ones worldview. But the Biblealso gives believers to
form many of their own opinions that they can make using their personal worldview with the Bible
engrained in it. For example, the Bible clearly states that Jesuslived a sinless life. Therefore, he is
the standard that Christians should strive to imitate (with a lot of Gods grace). The Bible also clearly

The Pros and Cons of Illegal Immigration into the United...
The Pros and Cons of Illegal Immigration into the United States
Illegal immigration has been an important and serious issue for decades; which affects everyone,
both Americans and immigrants themselves. Illegal Immigration has three main purposes: first to
find a better life in the ?promise land?, second: free healthcare, and third: for criminal activity. Most
illegal immigrants come to America with the best intentions for themselves and/or their families,
but many others have alternative motives. The thing that must be remembered is that illegal
immigration is illegal. It?s all in the name.
?Over 6 million illegal immigrants live in the US some estimate even more.? (Illegal Immigration)
This is astonishing. Six ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
More appalling is the fact that 60 percent of the 18the Street gang?s membership consists of illegal
aliens. The gang?s crimes range from armed robbery to arson to murder.? (Izumi, Lance T.) Other
immigrants who come to America illegally get here, and then go to hospitals with no insurance, or
may apply for welfare such as unemployment or food assistance. Since welfare comes from taxes
paid by citizens of the United States, this practice is highly looked down upon, even despised.
Although some illegal immigrants pay taxes through false social security numbers, it doesn?t come
close to adding up to the amount spent on healthcare for the population living in the U.S.
Illegal immigration is not always looked down upon, as some say they help our economy, while
others say hurt the economy. ?Many business owners, on the other hand, are strongly pro
immigration. President Bill Clinton and others who supported the passage of the North American
Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) believed that the free flow of people over national borders, like
that of goods and capital, could only lead to prosperity.? (Bender, 19) Illegal aliens or immigrants
can become legal and become worry free citizens of the U.S., by taking the right steps. Although the
United States is almost completely against the importation of illegal immigrants to do work in the
states, it did happen at one time. ?During WWII and until the 1960?s, the

The Passionate Shepherd
Marlowe s The Passionate Shepherd to His Love, and Raleigh s The Nymph s Reply to the
Shepherd, are both amazing poems that we can t help but want to compare and contrast. The sassy
Nymph who turns away the Shepherd s declare of love. The Shepherd, who offers material objects
to show his love, and the Nymph, the fair maiden who denies his feelings; the tales of unrequited
love. The Passionate Shepherd to His Loveportrays a world of love and feelings. The Shepherd
offers wondrous gifts to his love in hopes that he will capture her heart. Marlowe used soft imagery,
making the poem feel lovely and sweet. The Shepherd is seen as a man with a good heart and
appears to have good intentions. The Shepherd offers a bed of roses, and a gown of the finest wool.
And we will sit upon the rocks, seeing the shepherds feed their flocks, by shallow rivers to whose
falls melodious birds sing madrigals. In this quote, he offers her a lovely day of peace and love....

networks have been the pulse of human society, traffic on these social networking sites currently
rival that of the traditional Web. The digital human activity on social networking sites has generated
a tremendous amount of data and due to the availability of affordable and portable digital devices,
the social interactions or activities on these networking sites can be measured and stored in digital
formats. These data contain a lot of important information and had been used in testing numerous
sociological hypothesis and also modeling systems that depend on human activities and research in
this area is actively ongoing in the research community. The social interaction as the result of the

Summary OfShopping By Joyce Oates And Fish Cheeks
Lessons Learned: Mothers as Teachers in two Short Fiction Works. In the short stories Shopping
by Joyce Oates and Fish Cheeks by Amy Tan, I discovered a connection in both stories about
mothers love. Both show a gratitude of reasons on how and why mothers love is present. Both
stories have a completely different morals but both come together into one meaning; mothers love.
In the short story Shopping by Joyce Oates, we experience the mother, Mrs. Dietrich, doing multiple
things for her daughter, Nola, such as buying her expensive clothing. The author agrees when she
writes, ...though the sweater by Sergio Valente, even drastically reduced, is certainly not cheap.

simply walk away; that has happened before and if it happens today she doesn t know what she
will do. Mothers work hard, physically and mentally.
With working hard, comes compassion and lessons learned. In both stories, we see a big similarity
tough love and lessons learned. In Fish Cheeks by Amy tan we see this in a silent lesson. As they
invite the ministers family over for Christmas Eve dinner, the mother has a treat for them. They
are a chinese family and they don t celebrate it with the old fashioned turkey and mashed potatoes,
which the daughter, Amy, is nervous about for she has a major crush on the minister s son. She
becomes embarrassed about her heritage and says, I wanted to disappear (Tan). Towards the end of
the story, when the minister s family leaves, the mother pulls Amy aside and states, You want to be
the same as American girls on the outside.. But inside you must always be Chinese. You must be
proud you are different. Your only shame is to have shame. and response to her mother, Amy agrees

For some reason, Becquerel decided to develop his photographic plates anyway. To his surprise, the
images were strong and clear, proving that the uranium emitted radiation without an external source
of energy such as the sun. Becquerel had discovered radioactivity.
Becquerel used an apparatus similar to that displayed below to show that the radiation he
discovered could not be x rays. X rays are neutral and cannot be bent in a magnetic field. The new
radiation was bent by the magnetic field so that the radiation must be charged and different than x
rays. When different radioactive substances were put in the magnetic field, they deflected in
different directions or not at all, showing that there were three classes of radioactivity: negative,
positive, and electrically neutral.
The term radioactivity was actually named by Marie Curie, who together with her husband Pierre,
began investigating the phenomenon recently discovered by Becquerel. The Curies extracted
uranium from ore and to their surprise, found that the leftover ore showed more activity than the
pure uranium. They concluded that the ore contained other radioactive elements. This led to the
discoveries of the elements polonium and radium. It took four more years of processing tons of ore
to isolate enough of each element to determine their chemical properties.
Ernest Rutherford, who did many experiments studying the properties of radioactive decay, named

##riesel s Speech In The Perils Of Indifference By Eliie...
American Jewish author and Holocaust survivor, Elie Wiesel in his critical speech, The Perils of
Indifference, suggests his message about the inhumanity of indifference and how the importance of
resistance is still relevant today. He develops his message by emphasizing how indifference is not
only dangerous, but is the most evil characteristic of our society today. For example, Wiesel states
in paragraph 13, Indifference, then, is not only a sin, it is a punishment. These truthful words assist
in understanding the author s emphasis on indifference and its danger in our world; to add on,
Wiesel also uses rhetorical questions throughout the text to highlight powerful and important users
of indifference during the time period which he lived in. A questionfrom the speech in paragraph 20
is, Why the indifference, on the highest level, to the suffering of the victims? This line in the text
exemplifies his belief that indifference is humannature if we do not rid ourselves of it. In brief, the
author explains how indifference is tempting in society because of the degree of effort one puts
into being indifferent, which is little to none. Wiesel s purpose is to inform the readers why
indifference is inhumane and to create awareness of indifference in order to persuade those readers
not to be indifferent to others. He establishes both serious and thankful tones for readers by using
stylistic and/or rhetorical device such as repetition and imagery in order to develop his

Billy Sunday Essay
Billy Sunday
For almost a quarter century Billy Sunday was a household name in the United States. Between
1902 when he first made the pages of the New York Times and 1935 when the paper covered his
death and memorial service in detail, people who knew anything about current events had heard of
the former major league baseball player who was preaching sin and salvation to large crowds all
over America. Not everyone who knew of the famous evangelist liked him. Plenty of outspoken
critics spoke of his flashy style and criticized his conservative doctrines. But he had hundreds of
thousands, perhaps millions, of loyal defenders, and they were just as loud in their praise as the
critics were in their criticism. Whether ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He also studied Scripture and became unusually generous toward the needy.
Furthermore, Sunday was constrained by an obsession to tell others how he had finally found
inner peace and a more purposeful life. At first through lectures and then in sermons, he related
how Jesus Christ gave him a new life of meaning, peace, and hope. This same gospel, he said,
would similarly transform others. The evidence is overwhelmingly that it did.
If Billy Sunday was sincere devoted, and motivated, he was also a product of his times and an
example of the culture and morals of middle America. On the other hand, Sunday took many
stands against popular beliefs, and he persuaded multitudes to join him in a war against many of
the modernistic ideas of the time that he saw as evil. As he once summarized his opinion so well,
What this world needs is a tidal wave of reform (Sunday Satan 24).
It is true that Sunday was a showman who craved an audience and loved applause. But he also
touched the lives of countless men and women of all social classes, helping them escape various
forms of personal bondage and find freedom in the gospel. And if he did not convert all of urban
America to his brand of Christianity, he at least played a major role in helping to keep
conservative biblical Christianity alive in this century (Dorsett 3). To understand fully why he
thought, lived, preached, and teached the way he did, we should look at his

(Webster Online Dictionary) Cuba is rich and full of cultural backgrounds that influence its

heavily influence today s society.
Political Influence President Raul Castro of Cuba met with President Obama of the United States at

President Obama made it clear that the embargo for trade is going to change to a hassle free trade

the first time in more than half a century. In July, Cuban officials inaugurated their embassy in
Washington. (Halimah Abdullah, 2015) Political influences as such are more than enough to
change cultural aspects for brother/sister allies. President Castro has made much of his term serving
for the greater good of the Cuban population. He met with President Nieto of Mexico to address

Abstract: As humans advanced in technology, manmade and natural disasters are increasing
exponentially. One of the most dangerous is the forest fire. Forest fire destroys trees which give
us oxygen and it is very difficult to stop a forest fire spreading if it is not detected early. Our
method is to detect the forest fire as early as possible and also predict the forest fire in advance
so that prompt action can be taken before the fire destroys and spreads over a large area. We also
find the rate of spread of fire in all direction so that necessary action can be initiated. The other
problems are deforestation where humans cut the trees from restricted areas and so the wild
animals from the forest enter the human habitation and cause problems. In this paper we discuss
the solutions to overcome these problems.

Repetition in David Lves Plays Words, Words, Words and...
David Ives really experiments with repetition throughout all of his plays. Two examples of these
plays would be Words, Words, Words and Sure Thing Form his collection of plays called All in the
Timing. There are many different examples of repetition in each play. Ives repeats one certain thing
and makes this repetition mean many different things. In Sure Thingthere is the repetition of the bell
, which represent how we tend to make snap judgments on people, and how we all strive for
perfection. He also uses the repetition of the words sure thing to represent how nothing in life can
really be considered a sure thing. In contrast in Words, Words, Words Ives uses the repetition of the
Monkeys typing to represent how sometimes luck gets us to where we need to be. Ives also uses
the repetition of Milton exhibiting typical Monkey behavior to show how we can repetition as a

The bell rings twenty eight times in Sure Thing. Every time Bill says something that Betty does
not find desirable the bell will ring and Bill gets another chance to woo her. Ives uses the
repetition of the bell ringing to show how we as humans make snap judgments on people. As
soon as we learn one fact about a person we base everything they say on that one fact and that it
is very hard to come back from a bad first impression. Bill s ability to gage Betty s reaction allows
him to manipulate her to make himself seem more desirable. This results in him succeeding and

The Role of Men in D.H. Lawrence s Virgin and the Gypsy...
The Role of Men in D.H. Lawrence s Virgin and the Gypsy
The role of the male characters in The Virgin and the Gypsy by D.H. Lawrence can best be
summed up by Yvette s reaction to her sister s philosophy of marriage:
I m not sure one shouldn t have one s fling till one is twenty six , and then give in and marry!
This was Lucille s philosophy, learned from older women. Yvette was twenty one. It meant she had
five years to have this precious fling. And the fling meant, at the moment, the gypsy. The marriage,
at the age of twenty six, meant Leo or Gerry.
So, a woman could eat her cake and have her bread and butter (Lawrence, 99).
All of the male characters fall into one of three categories: bread and butter, cake or ... Show more

It is interesting that these are the only glimpses of the world through male eyes that we are
allowed in this book. It is also interesting that all three of these glimpses into the male mind are
related in terms of animals.
Bob expresses the feeling of being a stuffed duck while visiting with Mater. Leo expresses a dog
like interest in Yvette: Catty little bitch! he said to himself. But he was of the mastiff type, he
rather liked the kitten to fly in his face (Lawrence 64). Her father would never dare to face the fat
worm of disbelief, that stirred in his heart (Lawrence 38).
These animal metaphors keep men and women separate, almost in the same way that class keeps
Yvette separate from the servants. As long as she is a virgin, with her power being her vulnerability,
she is unable to quite see men as human. That s not unusual, though, since they seem to have
trouble identifying themselves as human.
The relationship of Yvette s grandmother, the Mater, and the Rector, her son, give Yvette a model
for feminine power. It is a negative power, a power through vulnerability. And through the weakness
of the unfresh, stagnant men she had bred, she kept her power (Lawrence 7).
Mater, through age, has transformed herself back into a virgin. She wields power in the family
through her very vulnerability. Mater s

their day by making healthy choices about their daily living. Having morning classes, gives the
students an opportunity to be molded into much successful person in the future. When graduation
hits student hard and it is time for grown up job, they will likely need to be at work first thing in
the morning. If you have not woken up before noon for the last four years, that transition is going
to be rough. Lakshmin (2015) Related to this, later class times only predicted somewhat lower
grade point average. Night classes were correlated with more drinking, which impacts academic

Mercury Contamination In Costa Rica
Literature Review The Background of Mercury Initially, my research was primarily focused on the
issue of heavy metal pollution and its integral parts, before delving into finding the problems it
causes further down the line. Audrey Haynes dissertation, Mercury Contamination in Costa Rica
(2012), was the most prominent reliable source of data that I discovered, having been written by a
university student, who had travelled to Costa Rica herself to collect data which had then been peer
reviewed before publishing. Not only this, but she also worked alongside other academics and
scientists currently studying the problem to further increase the validity of the research, therefore
making the dissertation a balanced and informative source.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Many of my sources including Methyl Mercury The Danger from the Sea (Protect the sharks,
2012) offer data and detailed explanations as to why it is so toxic to us as humans and the extreme
problems it can cause to the human body. As mammals, we cannot manage mercury levels in our
system because it is not naturally occurring in our environment, meaning we have not adapted to
cope with is causing us to suffer various negative side effects when ingesting mercury. Methyl
mercury is 1000 times more toxic than organic mercury (Protect the sharks, 2012) which is an
alarming statistic considering the fact human tissue assimilates almost 100% of methyl mercury.
According to Dr. Jane Hightower, although there is no safe level of chronic mercury exposure, for
reasons currently thought to be related to genetics, some people have higher tolerances to methyl
mercury than others. This means reactions to the substance can vary in severity on wide scale. The
Effect of Fish Consumption on Blood Mercury Levels of Pregnant Women (Euy Hyuk Kim et al,
2006) explains that once the methyl mercury is ingested, usually through the consumption of fish,
initial signs of the poisoning include numbness of the hands and feet, general weakness of the
muscles, loss of peripheral vision and damage to hearing and speech. However within the course of
only a few weeks the effects of the poisoning can dramatically worsen to anything between the
development of type 2 diabetes, infertility (especially in men), immune dysfunction, an increase in
coronary heart disease and heart attacks or strokes, mutations leading to cancer, dysphagia, visual
impairments, insanity (hence the term mad as a hatter) and neuropsychiatric damage being the
worst. The neurological problems tend to originally show themselves in the form of ataxia earlier

Persuasive Essay On The Driving Age
Do you really wanna be locked up at your house until you re 18 just because you can t drive yet.
The driving age should not be raised it should stay at 16, teens that are sixteen years old should
be able to start driving. The first time behind the wheel, with no parents, just you and the car. Of
course, kids will have to be more careful, and more responsible while driving. The reasons why I
say that the driving age shouldn t change is because kids in high school are in sports or in after
school activities and parents may not be able to pick or drop them off, they can help their parents
with errands, and lastly, kids are working at that age.
Teens in high school are in sports or in after school activities. Having the kids to wait for the
parents to come and pick them up to go drop them off may be a pain cause the kids will be late
to practice. In our school, there are many after school activities such as tutoring, sports, clubs
and other events. If students were unable to drive, then most of the after school activities would
be unsuccessful. This student is talking about how being late to an activity or a sport will affect
you from playing or even joining a club. This really affects the students because they have after
school activities, work, games, meetings, and on top of that they get hours and hours of
homework. When being late to a game, or even work you re pretty much going to have to spend
extra time for being late or maybe not even showing up cause your parents didn t pick you up on
time. They can help their parents with errands.
Teens being able to help their parents with errands would be a lot more helpful. When parents
are not able to pick up someone or go get something from the store their kids could do that for
them. With their driving license students can at least run their small errands like paying a visit to
the library for research or going to the store to get something, even the small thing has a big
influence on us. Even the kids could go and do errands that they need to do, having them drive
would be so much better. Don t want constantly use their parents as a taxi While the kids having to
go somewhere they will be asking their parents to take them somewhere every

The Formations of Torandoes Essay
Tornadoes Nebraskans are no strangers to tornadoes. They are a part of the spring and summer
living in the Central Plains. We all know the damage tornadoes can create either first hand, as some
can remember being around for the 1980 tornadoes that ripped through Grand Island, or know
someone who has experienced a tornadofirst hand. Even though I have been living in Nebraska
my entire life I still do not understand exactly how a tornado forms or what ingredients are
needed in order to make a tornado form. In this paper that is exactly what we will look at, how a
tornado is formed. We will look at the conditions needed for tornado formation, how tornadoes are
formed out of supercells, and finally what spotters look for when chasing... Show more content on

The most violent tornados form from supercell storms. Not all tornadoes form from a supercell
storm, but this will be the focus of the paper because these are usually the tornadoes that do the
most damage and stick around the longest (About Tornadoes). Figure 1. Anatomy of a supercell
thunderstorm from Wicker, Crystal. Weather Wiz Kids Weather Information for Kids. Weather Wiz
Kids Weather Information for Kids. Crystal Wicker, n.d. Web. 09 Feb. 2014.
A supercell thunderstorm consists primarily of a single rotating updraft. Its organized internal
structure allows the storm to maintain itself for several hours (Ahrens). Figure 1 above illustrates
what the inside of a supercell thunderstorm would look like and shows the tornado produced from
this storm. As figure 1 illustrates, the counterclockwise rotating air labeled the mesocyclone is the
warm, humid air coming into the cumulonimbus cloud. The heavy rain chilled air from the
mesocyclone then descends as a strong downdraft called the forward flank downdraft. Vertical wind
shear is also an important part of the how a tornado forms. The vertical wind shear causes the air
near the surface to rotate about a horizontal axis. If the strong updraft of a developing thunderstorm
should tilt the rotating tube upward and draw into the storm, the tilted rotating tube then becomes a
rotating air column inside the storm (Ahrens). The updraft, the counterclockwise swirling
precipitation, and

The Internet Is An Commodity For College Students
The internet is an commodity for college students, a useful source of information for many, though
few people who use the internet know that google, bing, etc. only search a minor sliver of the
internet for information. The rest of the internet that most people do not know about is referred to
as the deep web, This Time article elaborates: Technically the Deep Web refers to the collection
of all the websites and databases that search engines like Google don t or can t index, which in
terms of the sheer volume of information is many times larger than the Web as we know it.
(Grossman, Lev, et al. The Deep Web. Time 182.20 (2013): 26.) Most search engines can only see
what is referred to as the Surface webas is explained on OEDb.com s... Show more content on

The benefits of remaining anonymous online are evident if you are any sort of a hacker or if you
are interested in any illegal activities. The deep web can only be accessed with a certain browser, in
the article Inside The Dark Web Max Eddy describes this browser and how it works: Most people
take the Internet at face value, but what most of us interact with is really just a slice of the
information available called the Surface Web. To get to the Dark Web we have to go deeper,
away from the world of standard Web addresses and onto the anonymity network called Tor.
When you click on a link in Google, you re connected with the target information fairly directly.
Someone accessing the same site while connected through Tor would have their request bounced
randomly through volunteer computers called nodes before exiting Tor and arriving at the site,
making their online movements much harder to track. (Eddy, Max) If your computer is ever
being hacked or monitored while on the Tor browser you can use the get a new identity function
and your windows will be closed and the computer s IP address will be scrambled through different
nodes, at the same time shaking any hackers and a new window will be opened. Anonymity is
necessary for many reasons online but especially for certain hacktivist groups. There are vigilante
activist groups that hack certain targets whether it be the government or other companies usually to
expose corruption

Hemangioma Research Paper
PAS 661 Pediatrics EBM Assignment Elizabeth Arnold 6/29/15 Clinical Question: Does topical
timolol have the same efficacy in treatment of superficial infantile hemangiomas compared to
oral propranolol? Introduction: Infantile hemangioma (IH), a benign vascular tumor, is the most
common tumor of infancy, with an incidence of 5% 10% at the end of the first year (1). Most
lesions are not visible at birth but appear in the first four to six weeks of life. Hemangiomas are
characterized by a growth phase which continues for the first year followed by a involution phase
lasting from one to nine years (1). Risk factors for development of hemangiomas are being female,
Caucasian, low birth weight, and those of multiple gestations (1). The cause... Show more content

One of them being that it was a randomized controlled trial which increases its internal and
external validity. One of the main limitations of the study was the heterogeneous patient
population and small numbers. The dramatic response of IH s to propranolol is encouraging and
suggests early treatment could result in decreased scarring and disfigurement. Propranolol
hydrochloride administered orally reduced the volume, color, and elevation of focal and
segmental IH in infants younger than 6 months up to 5 years of age. LOE II: Evidence obtained
from at least one well designed Randomized Controlled Trial (4). The main strength in the study
completed by Chakkittakandiyil et al. was that it demonstrated further clinical evidence of the
safety and efficacy of topical timolol maleate. The study had several limitations. The procedures
for digital photography were not uniformly standardized and the investigators were not blinded to
duration of treatment. Topical timolol was shown to be an effective treatment for superficial IH
with decreased risk of adverse events compared to oral beta blockers. LOE IV: Evidence from well
designed case control and cohort studies

Scarecrow Themes
I have spotted multiple themes though out this novel but, the main two themes I was were Good
vs. Evil and Being Self Sufficient. The main characters the tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, and the
Cowardly Loin were heavily insecure about themselves. The scarecrow didn t t think he was smart
enough so he traveled with them to get a brain. The lion didn t think he was brave enough so he
traveled with them to get some courage. Though out the novelwe see that the scarecrow is the
smartest out of the group and that the lion risked he own life many times to save his friends. This
novel relates to modern day because most teenagers are known to struggle with insecurity issues in
high school. Some students think they aren t smart enough while others just

However, Benjy has mental ill; he has the mind of a child and does not understand the connection of things around him. He remembers nothing except the pastwith his sister, Caddy. Throughout Benjamin section, fire is mentioned more than forty times. Benjy is fascinated by the fire: What is fire to Benjy? It is something he can see as more immediate and concrete than anything with perhaps the exception of Caddy (Martin 2). Benjamin seems to live mostly in the past before Caddy moved out of the house. Caddy also takes responsibility for Benjy with their father: Are you going to take good care of Maury. Yes. Caddy said (66). The requested budget was submitted to the 114th Congress. Congress creates a new budget for the United States every year. This process is also called the appropriation process. These bills specify how much money will go to the different government agencies and government programs. Congress will then have to pass legislation that will provide the federal government the authority to spend the money giving to them. Income taxes are that the government collects from the American people. Income taxes make up the federal government s largest revenue source. Payroll taxes are designated as trust funds. As trust funds, the money collect can only be used for a very specific purpose such as Social Security. Corporate taxes are paid by companies, though a marginal tax rate anywhere from fifteen percent to thirdly five percent depending on how much profit the corporation made. In some instances even just two independent cases can lead to an outbreak, eventually leading to an epidemic, or pandemic which refers to a global outbreak. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This disease can lead to severe pneumonia, diarrhea, encephalitis and in a worst case scenario could even cause death. Facts and figures available to study the epidemiological data for the outbreak of measles include gathering suspected and confirmed cases of this disease from the World Health Organization. This is done by gathering serum samples from all suspected cases to determine if a measles specific immunoglobulin antibody is detected. This particular disease lives in the nose and throat of the infected individual and is considered contagious for a period of four days before the rash appears and for a further four days after the sighting of the rash. The route of transmission of the disease is via infected droplets that spray into the air when people cough, sneeze or talk. These droplets can then be inhaled by other people who are in close proximity to the person who is infected. Unfortunately, these droplets can remain active and contagious for several hours on a surface, such that when you touch it with your fingers and then touch your nose or mouth you can become infected. While most cases are easily diagnosed by simply looking at the patient, in the majority of cases it is preferable to have blood tests to confirm 100%. Typically the patient will have a rash that looks like small, bright Koplik s spots on the inside ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. The Importance of Discipline The Importance of Discipline By: Alexis Wagner June 14, 2013 The dictionary definition for discipline is a branch of learning, training that develops self control. Discipline to me is a form of work that takes time; but, in the end works for your good. A person can be someone disciplined or taught a new way of doing something they can t or don t want to do, or be self disciplined, already possessing an inner strength of mind and determination to do these things own their own. (Control is a key factor in self discipline.) Mastering the ability to make yourself do something over and over again until you get it right is self discipline. Obedience is being willing to do a command , being able to follow instructions, being able to do things as they were told (meaning correctly), and being able to do this when they were told. Obedience shows a common feature that we see with discipline. If you can sing very well but your singing coach wants you to sing it an octave higher, that is an example of where discipline is needed. You needto first accept the fact that the coach is trying to help you and improve your singing abilities. You have to get out of your comfort zone and work towards hitting that note and achieving that goal. Instead of you looking at the task as a form of punishment, you should look at it as reaching a higher ground, or going to the next level in your singing career. All of these things you must do to accomplish that one task, and not only will it require dedication, it will require discipline, not only for others but for you. Discipline in schools may reduce the violence and vandalism and help students to focus better on their studies and future careers. Discipline is important in the households most of all. Parents must raise their children in a pleasant and disciplined atmosphere. They should teach them the right values. They should themselves lead an orderly life so that their children can learn from their examples. The Impact Of Marketing On Online Marketing Essay SMEs (Small and medium enterprises) come under various categories such as F B or Fashion or lifestyle or IT or electronics or pharma or events or ecommerce brands and so on. The need for a six figure marketing budget to make social work is a misconception. In fact, small businesses are more likely to succeed with this kind of marketing as they get to interact with a niche audience and social metrics can be used to understand their reach. This is much better than paying heed to such misconceptions and including them in their marketing strategy or business modules. This media plays an important role in online marketing and is an ideal medium through which an SME can acquire, nurture and increase leads. • 16. Temperament As An Explanation Of Adolescent Risk 1.Temperament Temperament is defined as a characteristic mode of behaviour or reaction of a person or an animal (Coleman 2009). Temperament effects many aspects of life and is a broad concept that cannot be directly measured, so many researchers have attempted to measure indirectly e.g. in gambling behaviour (Caspi 2001). Although considered innate, it has been shown that it can change to some degree (Moffet et. al 2011). An important aspect of temperament in relation to risk taking behaviour is that of self control. Temperament as an explanation of adolescent risk taking has some evidence to support it. To look at risk taking behaviours, Caspi (2011) studied the temperament s effect on gambling. They observed a sample of three year olds to classify them into five temperament categories. They later conducted face to face interviews with the same group at 21 and 32 years old. They found that children who were classified as under controlled at age 3 were two times more likely to display disorganised gambling behaviour compared to the well adjusted group. These findings were independent of intelligence and socio economic status. Moffet et al. (2011) did a longitudinal observational study on children from birth until 32 years old, looking at self control . This was to assess whether children s self control levels predicted health issues, wealth outcomes, and criminal convictions. They found that the differences in level of self control did predict these outcomes, and that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Preparation for these events is necessary if the damage and loss of life is to be mitigated. Several events have occurred in the last decade that has increased awareness of the necessity of emergency management. Events such Hurricane Katrinaand the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Both of these events had massive death tolls and millions of dollars worth of property damage. They both resulted in a public outcry for more effective intervention and assistance with disasterincidents. The National Response Framework (NRF) was created after both of these events and in response to criticism of the prior National Response Plan. The change of title from National... Not all disaster incidents require a federal or even state response. The framework allows for part to be requested as needed. The local government can request the help of the state and then the state can request the help of the federal government. Though for some agencies to be involved on a local level the state or full federal invention is not required. This way only the minimum level of assistance and resources necessitated are dispatched. This also permits that resources and personnel are not wasted on one disaster that could be used elsewhere. The scalability of response is key in creating efficiency and effectiveness within emergency management. The final strength of the NRF is that is expressly informs state and local governments of the available resources for receiving federal assistance. The emergency support functions (ESF) chart shows the state and local governments exactly which bureaucratic organization handles certain issues that may arise within a disaster incident. Richards used a Gibson fuzz box to add a dirtier, less refined sound, but his vision for the song always involved horns that to fill the space on the final track. However Oldham, the producer of The Rolling Stones, liked the distorted guitar effect and convinced the band to forget about the horns and make it rock and roll. This ended up being great advice, because when they released it as a single it quickly shot to the top of the charts, even with some censorship by radio stations. Some radio stations refused to air the song because they felt the lyrics were too sexually suggestive, or didn t approve of the anti consumerism message it conveyed. Regardless, it was number one on the charts within a month of it s release, and held that top spot for nearly a month after that. This song became so popular due to it s new and interesting sound. The strong guitar hook paired with Jagger s unmistakable singing left listeners wanting more. In 2004, Rolling Stone awarded it the title of the second greatest song of all time. The new radiation was bent by the magnetic field so that the radiation must be charged and different than x rays. When different radioactive substances were put in the magnetic field, they deflected in different directions or not at all, showing that there were three classes of radioactivity: negative, positive, and electrically neutral. The term radioactivity was actually named by Marie Curie, who together with her husband Pierre, began investigating the phenomenon recently discovered by Becquerel. The Curies extracted uranium from ore and to their surprise, found that the leftover ore showed more activity than the pure uranium. They concluded that the ore contained other radioactive elements. American Jewish author and Holocaust survivor, Elie Wiesel in his critical speech, The Perils of Indifference, suggests his message about the inhumanity of indifference and how the importance of resistance is still relevant today. He develops his message by emphasizing how indifference is not only dangerous, but is the most evil characteristic of our society today. For example, Wiesel states in paragraph 13, Indifference, then, is not only a sin, it is a punishment. These truthful words assist in understanding the author s emphasis on indifference and its danger in our world; to add on, Wiesel also uses rhetorical questions throughout the text to highlight powerful and important users of indifference during the time period which he lived in. A questionfrom the speech in paragraph 20 is, Why the indifference, on the highest level, to the suffering of the victims? This line in the text exemplifies his belief that indifference is humannature if we do not rid ourselves of it. In brief, the author explains how indifference is tempting in society because of the degree of effort one puts into being indifferent, which is little to none. At first through lectures and then in sermons, he related how Jesus Christ gave him a new life of meaning, peace, and hope. This same gospel, he said, would similarly transform others. The evidence is overwhelmingly that it did. If Billy Sunday was sincere devoted, and motivated, he was also a product of his times and an example of the culture and morals of middle America. One of the most dangerous is the forest fire. Forest fire destroys trees which give us oxygen and it is very difficult to stop a forest fire spreading if it is not detected early. Our method is to detect the forest fire as early as possible and also predict the forest fire in advance so that prompt action can be taken before the fire destroys and spreads over a large area. We also find the rate of spread of fire in all direction so that necessary action can be initiated. The other problems are deforestation where humans cut the trees from restricted areas and so the wild animals from the forest enter the human habitation and cause problems. It is also interesting that all three of these glimpses into the male mind are related in terms of animals. Bob expresses the feeling of being a stuffed duck while visiting with Mater. Leo expresses a dog like interest in Yvette: Catty little bitch! he said to himself. But he was of the mastiff type, he rather liked the kitten to fly in his face (Lawrence 64). Her father would never dare to face the fat worm of disbelief, that stirred in his heart (Lawrence 38). These animal metaphors keep men and women separate, almost in the same way that class keeps Yvette separate from the servants. As long as she is a virgin, with her power being her vulnerability, she is unable to quite see men as human. That s not unusual, though, since they seem to have trouble identifying themselves as human. The relationship of Yvette s grandmother, the Mater, and the Rector, her son, give Yvette a model for feminine power. It is a negative power, a power through vulnerability. And through the weakness of the unfresh, stagnant men she had bred, she kept her power (Lawrence 7). Mater, through age, has transformed herself back into a virgin. She wields power in the family through her very vulnerability. Mater s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 41. Disadvantages And Differences Of The Midsummer Night Vs.... Learning, of all entities in the human history, is the backbone and cradle of all headway and furtherance. As it happens, it is the aspect of life that steers one s barely controllable passion of what you like doing or what others have done notably in the past. Learning is so crucial and extraordinary that we couldn t have sent the first man to the moon, or neither can Shakespeare put Macbeth or Midsummer Night s Dream down in a very unprecedented writing. That is all because of substantial and extensive fondness for learning. Learning, on the other page of the book, varies and deviates depending on the individual involved in this. • 42. Mercury Contamination In Costa Rica Literature Review The Background of Mercury Initially, my research was primarily focused on the issue of heavy metal pollution and its integral parts, before delving into finding the problems it causes further down the line. Audrey Haynes dissertation, Mercury Contamination in Costa Rica (2012), was the most prominent reliable source of data that I discovered, having been written by a university student, who had travelled to Costa Rica herself to collect data which had then been peer reviewed before publishing. Not only this, but she also worked alongside other academics and scientists currently studying the problem to further increase the validity of the research, therefore making the dissertation a balanced and informative source.... Many of my sources including Methyl Mercury The Danger from the Sea (Protect the sharks, 2012) offer data and detailed explanations as to why it is so toxic to us as humans and the extreme problems it can cause to the human body. As mammals, we cannot manage mercury levels in our system because it is not naturally occurring in our environment, meaning we have not adapted to cope with is causing us to suffer various negative side effects when ingesting mercury. Methyl mercury is 1000 times more toxic than organic mercury (Protect the sharks, 2012) which is an alarming statistic considering the fact human tissue assimilates almost 100% of methyl mercury. According to Dr. Jane Hightower, although there is no safe level of chronic mercury exposure, for reasons currently thought to be related to genetics, some people have higher tolerances to methyl mercury than others. This means reactions to the substance can vary in severity on wide scale. The Effect of Fish Consumption on Blood Mercury Levels of Pregnant Women (Euy Hyuk Kim et al, 2006) explains that once the methyl mercury is ingested, usually through the consumption of fish, initial signs of the poisoning include numbness of the hands and feet, general weakness of the muscles, loss of peripheral vision and damage to hearing and speech. However within the course of only a few weeks the effects of the poisoning can dramatically worsen to anything between the development of type 2 diabetes, infertility (especially in men), immune dysfunction, an increase in coronary heart disease and heart attacks or strokes, mutations leading to cancer, dysphagia, visual impairments, insanity (hence the term mad as a hatter) and neuropsychiatric damage being the worst. • 43. Persuasive Essay On The Driving Age Do you really wanna be locked up at your house until you re 18 just because you can t drive yet. The driving age should not be raised it should stay at 16, teens that are sixteen years old should be able to start driving. The first time behind the wheel, with no parents, just you and the car. Of course, kids will have to be more careful, and more responsible while driving. The reasons why I say that the driving age shouldn t change is because kids in high school are in sports or in after school activities and parents may not be able to pick or drop them off, they can help their parents with errands, and lastly, kids are working at that age. Teens in high school are in sports or in after school activities. Having the kids to wait for the parents to come and pick them up to go drop them off may be a pain cause the kids will be late to practice. In our school, there are many after school activities such as tutoring, sports, clubs and other events. If students were unable to drive, then most of the after school activities would be unsuccessful. This student is talking about how being late to an activity or a sport will affect you from playing or even joining a club. This really affects the students because they have after school activities, work, games, meetings, and on top of that they get hours and hours of homework. When being late to a game, or even work you re pretty much going to have to spend extra time for being late or maybe not even showing up cause your parents didn t pick you up on time. They can help their parents with errands. Teens being able to help their parents with errands would be a lot more helpful. When parents are not able to pick up someone or go get something from the store their kids could do that for them. With their driving license students can at least run their small errands like paying a visit to the library for research or going to the store to get something, even the small thing has a big influence on us. Even the kids could go and do errands that they need to do, having them drive would be so much better. Don t want constantly use their parents as a taxi While the kids having to go somewhere they will be asking their parents to take them somewhere every ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We all know the damage tornadoes can create either first hand, as some can remember being around for the 1980 tornadoes that ripped through Grand Island, or know someone who has experienced a tornadofirst hand. Even though I have been living in Nebraska my entire life I still do not understand exactly how a tornado forms or what ingredients are needed in order to make a tornado form. Figure 1. Anatomy of a supercell thunderstorm from Wicker, Crystal. Weather Wiz Kids Weather Information for Kids. Weather Wiz Kids Weather Information for Kids. Crystal Wicker, n.d. Web. 09 Feb. 2014. A supercell thunderstorm consists primarily of a single rotating updraft. Its organized internal structure allows the storm to maintain itself for several hours (Ahrens). Figure 1 above illustrates what the inside of a supercell thunderstorm would look like and shows the tornado produced from this storm. As figure 1 illustrates, the counterclockwise rotating air labeled the mesocyclone is the warm, humid air coming into the cumulonimbus cloud. The heavy rain chilled air from the mesocyclone then descends as a strong downdraft called the forward flank downdraft. Vertical wind shear is also an important part of the how a tornado forms. The vertical wind shear causes the air near the surface to rotate about a horizontal axis. If the strong updraft of a developing thunderstorm should tilt the rotating tube upward and draw into the storm, the tilted rotating tube then becomes a rotating air column inside the storm (Ahrens). The updraft, the counterclockwise swirling precipitation, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To get to the Dark Web we have to go deeper, away from the world of standard Web addresses and onto the anonymity network called Tor. When you click on a link in Google, you re connected with the target information fairly directly. Someone accessing the same site while connected through Tor would have their request bounced randomly through volunteer computers called nodes before exiting Tor and arriving at the site, making their online movements much harder to track. Hemangioma Research Paper PAS 661 Pediatrics EBM Assignment Elizabeth Arnold 6/29/15 Clinical Question: Does topical timolol have the same efficacy in treatment of superficial infantile hemangiomas compared to oral propranolol? Introduction: Infantile hemangioma (IH), a benign vascular tumor, is the most common tumor of infancy, with an incidence of 5% 10% at the end of the first year (1). Most lesions are not visible at birth but appear in the first four to six weeks of life. One of the main limitations of the study was the heterogeneous patient population and small numbers. The dramatic response of IH s to propranolol is encouraging and suggests early treatment could result in decreased scarring and disfigurement. Propranolol hydrochloride administered orally reduced the volume, color, and elevation of focal and segmental IH in infants younger than 6 months up to 5 years of age. LOE II: Evidence obtained from at least one well designed Randomized Controlled Trial (4). The main strength in the study completed by Chakkittakandiyil et al. was that it demonstrated further clinical evidence of the safety and efficacy of topical timolol maleate. The study had several limitations. The procedures for digital photography were not uniformly standardized and the investigators were not blinded to duration of treatment.
