One potential solution is to change the current rules and regulations that the
Eldorado National Forest has set in regards to wood cutting. According to the
woodcutting guidelines for the Eldorado National Forest on the USDA website,
the current limit of wood cut per year is two cords that you may not sell, specific

The complex adaptive systems, according to Thomas Clancy (2008), registered nurse
and practitioner, are a combination of several systems or networks of people that can
learn and adapt over time that may change the structure of the system (p 249). These

Abstract Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) play main role in the design and
development of the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) who improves the road
safety and transportation productivity. VANETs include two communication types i.e.
Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle to Roadside (V2R) communications. One of
the most important challenges of this kind of network are the timely, safely and
reliable dissemination of messages between vehicular nodes which permits the
drivers to take appropriate decisions to improve the road safety. There are many
routing protocols for VANETs which can support the reliability and safety for
routing. These protocols undergo the several limitations including complexity, lack
of scalability, end to end delay, routing overheads, etc. To remove these limitations,
various bio inspired methodologies have been proposed for routing among vehicular
nodes in an optimized way. Here in this paper, various bio inspired routing algorithms
for the VANET are discussed.
1.INTRODUCTION
A Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANET) are considered as a specific type of Mobile
Ad hoc Network (MANET) which contains the of a set of mobile nodes (Vehicles)

analyze patterns of policerelated 911 calls before and after the Jude beating was
made public in the Milwaukee press. Controlling for several neighborhood
characteristics, along with fixed effects for neighborhoods and months, we find that
residents of Milwaukee s neighborhoods were far less likely to report a crimeafter
Jude s beating was broadcast. Over half of the total loss in 911 calls occurred in
black neighborhoods. Supplemental analyses show that other local and national
cases of police violence against unarmed black men also had an impact on crime

Personally, I really enjoyed Some Boys by Patty Blount. The reason I really
enjoyed reading this book was because it had a very affective theme and many
points of views were shown in the book, Grace s point of view on how she felt
about being sexually assaulted and Ian s point of view on how he struggled to
figure out whose side he was willing to take, Grace s or Zac s side. This is a very
powerful book that educated me on how disgustingly women are treated and the
labels thrown at them. I would recommend this book to other readers simply
because sexual assault could happen to anyone. This is a social issue a lot of people

The Research Process on a Project
The Research Process: The research process went well, I felt like it was easier than
most research projects. I found the project more preferable to a traditional research
paper. I feel like it is a better alternative because it gave us time to really research
and give good connections. I ended up learning more from the primary connections
because I put more into my research. I felt like the secondary connections was not as
informative because I was researching connections that someone else had already
made but with the primary I had more possibilities to really learn. I felt like there
were less restraints on what I could connect the author to. With this project I learned
that it is not a simple as just typing an author s name into a search bar, I found out
that you have to dig deeper than that. I started my research on Wikipedia and then I
would look at the sources Wiki used and get my research from there.
Procedure:
The procedure of the project went well. I liked working individually, that way I am
the only one to blame for my grade. With group assignments there is always the
chance of getting a not so helpful group or the lazy partner. This just leads to
frustration for the student that really worked for the grade. As a student I feel
cheated if a partner or group member gets a good grade without really putting the
effort into the project. If each student had more deadlines for the project they would
work harder on it and the research would be more thought

When you think of The Odyssey, do you think of our society today? From courage to
judgement, multiple messages are portrayed through Odysseus in Homer s epic, The
Odyssey. These themes not only illustrate prevalence in Odysseus s time, but they
show in our everyday lives.
One lesson exemplified by Odysseus and people in our world is that risk taking comes
with uncertainty, but the results may have positive effects. For example, when
Odysseus meets the Cyclops on the island, the Cyclops begins to threaten him and
his men s lives. This behavior forces Odysseus to take action. While risking waking
the Cyclops, Odysseus chooses to bore that great eye socket (906). At the same
time Odysseus exposes himself to such peril, the Cyclops goes blind. Odysseus
saves himself and his remaining men from being eaten by the Cyclops. Secondly,

My practical experience was done at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. I worked with
LTC Sheryl Bedno, who is the Chief of Preventive Medicine here at Ft. Bragg. My
role was as an observer on an ongoing study titled, Dietary Supplement use on Heat
Injuries among Military Personnel . The study was conducted by administering
surveys to soldiers that were being seen by medical staff at the Department of
Preventive Medicine.
The goals were to be able to understand what the possible effects of dietary
supplement use are on the body, especially during extreme heat, to find out why
soldiers decided on using supplements. To achieve these goals, I observed each
survey that was administered and took mental note of their responses (as I was
prohibited from writing in the participant s presence). I did additional research and a
literature review on methods of use, reasons for use, dangers of use and alternatives
to using. The intention of the study was to find a more effective way for physicians
to treat heat injuries.
The popular supplement ingredient, 1,3 dimethylamine (DMAA) was linked to
several fatalities and as a result was put on a medical hold in 2012 by the Food and
Drug Administration. The ingredient was later banned for use in any supplement. In
March of 2012, two Army soldiers died during a workout in which both had
reportedly taken supplements that had DMAA in it.1

told while growing up to a latino. Which I felt told more of how it is to be a latino
while growing up. Also I changed the title to be Tiempo instead of Time, which I

At every point in history there are individuals who disagree with the norms of his
or her society and who advocate for social and political change. These individuals
are referred to as agitators. While these agitators come from across different
historical time periods and locations some of them have quite a bit in common.
Even from as early as 399 BC to 2002, from as far as Athens, Greece to the United
States, there are agitators that had similar motivations and ways of achieving them.
An example would be the philosopher Socratesand the filmmaker Michael Moore.
Despite some small differences in approach, these two have many significant

The film of the Maltese Falcon and the novel of the Maltese Falcon share some
stark differences along with certain similarities that the film and novel hold. John
Huston who directed the film of the Maltese Falcon shows Sam Spade a little
differently as to how Dashiell Hammett portrays him. Both do share some
commonalities between them, yet we see a greater split from novel to film in the
final scene of the Maltese Falcon. The film portrays Spade as this stoic, cold
hearted detective. Yet, the novel displays Spade as a more dominate grabbing man
that needs answers now. The film differs from the novel as we see Spade portrayed
in the film as a cold and stoic character as we see him in the novel as a more
dominate and persistent character. As we progress through the final scene Sam Spade
briskly moves on to alert the authorities about having Cairo and Gutman on the
move. The novel shows Sam after putting the receiver down to appear nervous he
wet his lips and looked down at his hands. Their palms were wet. He filled his deep
chest with air. His eyes we glittering between straightened lids (p. 574). As to the
film when we see Spade hang up the phone he briskly approaches Brigid trying to
get as much information out of her as he can before the police arrive in the film at
1:28:52. As we see in the novel Hammett wanted to show Spade as being nervous
for what is about to happen and for how aggressive he will be in order to get all of
the information needed prior to the police arriving. Huston doesn t show any of
that, but goes straight into getting all of the information out of Brigid as soon as
possible. Leaving a major lack in character for the film Spade as compared to the
novel Spade. Next, we follow to see Spade grabs Brigid and says G d damn you,
talk! (p. 575) which shows Spade as a dominate and demanding individual. The
significance of him grabbing executes this notion of dominance and the meaning of
how important this is to Spade. In the film Spade at that moment wasn t as forceful to
get this information out of Brigid. Around 1:29:26 Spade was standing badgering
Brigid with question after question, in addition to asking rhetorical questions that

Without music, life would be a mistake. Music is a very important part of our live,
and those who make music are very special in this world. Music not being involved
in my life would result in harmonies and melodies leaving me totally empty. When I

Using an interrupted time series design, we analyze patterns of policerelated 911 calls before and after the Jude beating was made public in the Milwaukee press. Controlling for several neighborhood characteristics, along with fixed effects for neighborhoods and months, we find that residents of Milwaukee s neighborhoods were far less likely to report a crimeafter Jude s beating was broadcast. Over half of the total loss in 911 calls occurred in black neighborhoods. Supplemental analyses show that other local and national cases of police violence against unarmed black men also had an impact on crime reporting in Milwaukee. The study was conducted by administering surveys to soldiers that were being seen by medical staff at the Department of Preventive Medicine. The goals were to be able to understand what the possible effects of dietary supplement use are on the body, especially during extreme heat, to find out why soldiers decided on using supplements. To achieve these goals, I observed each survey that was administered and took mental note of their responses (as I was prohibited from writing in the participant s presence). The intention of the study was to find a more effective way for physicians to treat heat injuries. The novel shows Sam after putting the receiver down to appear nervous he wet his lips and looked down at his hands. Their palms were wet. He filled his deep chest with air. As to the film when we see Spade hang up the phone he briskly approaches Brigid trying to get as much information out of her as he can before the police arrive in the film at 1:28:52.
