Conflict resolution can be defined as the informal or formal process that two
or more parties use to find a peaceful solution. It encompasses a range of
skills and strategies aimed at resolving differences, managing emotions,
and fostering positive relationships. It involves identifying the root cause of
the conflict, openly communicating needs and perspectives, and working
collaboratively to find a compromise or win-win situation. By effectively
resolving conflict, we can maintain positive relationships, build trust and
prevent future disagreements form escalating. Ultimately conflict resolution
is not about being right or wrong, but about finding a path forward those
benefits everyone involved.

Recommendations
• Leaders must be visible role models for constructive conflict resolution and demonstrate
a commitment to creating a fair and respectful work environment.
• Encourage open communication and active listening among employees. Provide
opportunities for employees to voice their concerns and feel heard.
• Invest in training employees in various conflict resolution skills, such as assertive
communication, active listening and problem-solving.
