Comparison Essay Outline
Writing a comparison essay outline can be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty lies in
the need to thoroughly understand the subjects being compared, identify meaningful points of
comparison, and organize thoughts in a coherent structure. Crafting an effective outline requires
careful consideration of the similarities and differences between the subjects, ensuring a
balanced and insightful analysis.
One challenge is the depth of research needed to gather relevant information on both topics. This
involves scouring various sources, extracting pertinent details, and discerning the most critical
aspects for comparison. Additionally, maintaining a neutral tone while expressing insights is
crucial to ensure objectivity in the analysis.
Structuring the essay outline is another hurdle. Striking a balance between highlighting
similarities and differences, while maintaining a logical flow, demands careful planning. The
outline should guide the reader seamlessly through the comparison, allowing them to grasp the
connections and distinctions effortlessly.
Furthermore, choosing the right criteria for comparison requires thoughtful consideration. The
selection of criteria shapes the entire essay and influences the depth of the analysis. Balancing
the specificity of details with broader perspectives is crucial for a well-rounded comparison.
In conclusion, crafting a comparison essay outline is a task that demands a combination of
research skills, analytical thinking, and effective organization. It requires the writer to delve deep
into the subjects, extract relevant information, and present a structured analysis that offers
valuable insights to the reader.

Vacation Persuasive Speech
Most people have that one vacation with no happy memories. Remember the
summer trip in 2008? The one where all you did was complain? That s the one.
Money spent on these trips doesn t care how often you were bored, making it seem
as though it was wasted. But if every picture from the trip brings a smile to your
face, then the larger cost isn t as bad. It isn t as difficult with older people to
organize a vacation, because if they are together, similar activities often are enjoyed.
The challenge comes when kids, mainly younger ones, are in tow. Adults planning
vacations should consider what they are looking for, whether it is fun and adventure
or calm and relaxed. But how do you know what s appropriate for you, since every
family is different?
For starters, the more hyper the kids, the more exciting the vacation. Hiking,
whitewater rafting, and national park sight seeing all keep the adventure going. The
natural wonders of Yellowstone, the Badlands, and Mount Rainer, to name a few, fill
the western United States, and are beyond magical. Geysers spraying sixty feet into
the air never fail to impress anyone, and the countless rock formations bring questions
about the sanity of the Earth. When looking for activities on a fast paced trip,
mountains are the place to go. Fun all year round, they offer hiking and rafting during
the warmer seasons, and breathtaking skiing and other snow activities when the
weather gets cold. Camelback Mountain in Pennsylvania has
Moral Development In Michael Stewart s Novel Bye-Bye
Birdie
In Michael Stewart s novel Bye Bye Birdie, children and their attitudes play a
significant role from disobedience and protective parents, to teenage love and
jealousy. Some parents in the little town of Sweet Apple, Ohio attributed children s
attitudes to Elvis stereotyped Conrad Birdie; however, others believed it was their
age. Psychologist, Lawrence Kohlberg, described many moral stages each and
every person goes through during his or her life. Two kids I know illustrate
Kohlberg s stages of Moral Development very well. Karim is an eight year old boy
whom I taught swim lessons to and is currently in the preconventional stage. Sam is
my 12 year old brother and living in the conventional stage of Kohlberg s Moral
Stages. Probably one... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

A Narrative Of Me And You Written By Niccolo Ammaniti
s...
A narrative bears many similarities to a snowflake. All snowflakes are composed of
exactly the same material, but when scrutinized, no two are the same. The same can
be said about two narratives which may contain the same story but the meaning can
change when recounted by different narrators. The difference in narratives can be
observed in the novel and film adaptation of Me and You written by NiccolГІ
Ammaniti s and directed by Bernardo Bertolucci. All stories contain a mixture of
constituent and supplementary events. The overall constituent events that must be
present in Me and You are that Lorenzomust first lie about leaving for a week long ski
trip, then he must hide in a cellar, after which Olivia rest with her brother until the
week ends. Both Ammaniti and Bertolucci insert supplementary events that although
do not move the story forward or directly affect the constituent events, add meaning to
their perspective of the story. The supplementary event which Ammaniti attaches to
his narrativeoccurs when he writes the scene about Lorenzo and his mother were
stuck in a traffic jam on the Corso Vittorio. On the other hand, Bertolucci incorporates
the scene where Oliva invites a friend to the cellar to further strengthen his vision for
his narrative. Meanwhile Ammaniti crafts his narrative to present the reader with Italy
s imperfections and perfections, Bertolucci limits the audience s knowledge of the
Italy outside of Lorenzo s bunker to bring us to a closer meaning of
Benefits Of Peer Mentoring
Juvenile mentoring programs have shown to be extremely successful for both mentor
and mentee. Mentoring programs builds connections and within those connections
there is guidance, support, and knowledge being shared on both ends. Mentoring at
risk youth is essentially to improve academic achievement, improve interpersonal
skills and for personal development. Choosing between cross age mentoring and peer
mentoring has to be intentional and should be based off of what the youth needs.
Peer mentoring is defined as: two youths of different ages that reflects a greater
degree of hierarchical power imbalance than is typical of a friendship and in which
the goal is for the older youth to promote one or more aspects of the younger youth s
development (The Handbook of Youth Mentoringby David Dubois). Because of the
small age difference, mentees feel comfortable and compelled to share any thoughts,
ideas, and ask more questions. Being close in age allows the mentor to be able to
understand and relate to what their mentee is expressing. From this, the mentor can
present solutions or advice.
Cross age mentoring is essentially adult to youth mentoring. A lot of the at risk
youth do not have solid adult figures in their lives; having an older mentor can fill
this void. Cross age tutoring is argued to be more effective than other techniques
because adults are seen as role models since they have more life experience.
Mentoring has emerged as a promising approach for enriching
To Kill A Mockingbird And The Movie Of To Kill A
Mockingbird
Introduction To start off I have to say that I am so impressed by this movie. Most
good books are followed by an alright movie even these days with modern filming
technology. But this was an awesome movie and book. I am obviously not the only
one who thinks so because this movie received the Academy Award for Best Actor
, The Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, and the Golden Globe for the
Best Film Promoting International Understanding. Summary: Atticus Finch is a
lawyer in the racially discriminating town of Maycomb, Alabama. Atticus, along
with his children, Scout and Jem, experience a few life changing events when he
fights to defend a black man who is said to be guilty of doing the unspeakable. As
the truth starts to unravel in the court case, Mayella s father, Bob Ewell is filled
with rage. This leads him to do the unthinkable, resulting in yet another unexpected
turn of events for Scout and Jem. Positives: I really appreciate the fact that the
movie is so closely accurate to the book, because most of the time, producers don t
bother too much about following the same storyline as the book while making the
movie. Although some people may not like the fact that the movie is in black and
white, I feel like it adds to the whole effect of a quiet, sleepy town in Alabama. I
also loved the sound effects and music used in the movie because they always play it
just at the right moments. For example, if it s starting to get dark and scary, there

Pulp Fiction American Nihilism
Emrose Bhalesha
Critical Summary Paper: Pulp Fiction
Mark Conrad examines the movie, Pulp fiction written and directed by Quentin
Tarantino by looking at the metaphysical quirks lurking within the film through the
use of character transformation and comedic dialogue. Conrad argues that this
film s intention is to describe the loss of value and meaning in people s lives,
specifically American nihilism. He introduces the article by explaining nihilism to
the reader and then explains the term in a biblical sense, he claims that once the
...moral code is lost and not replaced, we are faced with the abyss of nihilism:
darkness closes in on us, and nothing is of any real value any more; there is no real
meaning in our lives. (Conrad). He describes ... Show more content on

He shows examples of comedic dialogue in scenes from Pulp fiction throughout his
article, furthermore he claims that much of the humor is dependent upon uncannily
intelligent dialogue under strange circumstances (Geddes). Geddes explains that the
tone of the movie has no moral to it and that the movie depends on its effects the
violence and threat of violence, the articulateness of its underworld characters, and its
structure (Geddes). The narrator argues that even thought ...this is a thoughtful well
made film , it ...has no moral aspect to it, furthermore Geddes claims that this film is
effective in entertaining an audience through the use of comedic dialogue and the
abundant amount of daytime violence
Habits Of Low Self Esteem
People demonstrates different habits based on their self esteem. You can predict an
individual s self esteem type by the habits he or she exhibits. Numerous factors
affect our self esteem positively or negatively. Some of the habits we have go a long
way in determining how we value ourselves.
There are numerous factors that cause low self esteem, these include look or weight,
mental challenges, peer group/pressure, bullying etc. Anyone exposed to any of
these factors is prone to have low self esteem. For instance, constant bullying in
schools could make a child develop low self esteem at a tender age. The child will
see him as not strong enough or too lousy to stand up for himself. Therefore,
bullying should be discouraged in schools. Most kids who suffer from bullies end up
most of the time with low self esteem.
One of such kid was the great actor; Jackie Chan. Jackie was bullied severely as a
child because he was too scared to fight for himself. He was an easy target in his
school; other children pick on him easily. Low self esteem can keep you at bay and
relegate you to irrelevance. Jackie eventually escaped it when he prevented a new
kid from being bullied.
A person with low self esteem will exhibit the following habits:
They Exhibit Perfectionism: People with low self esteem are known to be chronic
perfectionists. They are always looking for a way to achieve perfect results.
Importantly, you know that it is not easy to achieve 100% result. However, when the

Manufacturing Of Wooden Shoes And Aprons
Manufacturing Dutch wooden shoes and aprons
Stacie Hart
Trine University
Introduction
Mass manufacturing entails the production of products in large quantities and it s the
advantages that come with such kind of production that makes it attractive to many
manufacturing companies (Libralato et al., 2012). One of the advantages of mass
production is that all equipment, material and labor required are located under the
same roof. Mass manufacturing is profound in various industries including the
automobile industry, textile industry, and telecommunication industry among others
(Qiao et al., 2006).
This essay will delve on mass manufacturing of Dutch wooden shoes and aprons
including presentation of budget estimates where applicable. An in depth analysis
was conducted on existing literature on the same in order to understand the traditional
process of manufacturing these products followed by an analysis of some recent
literature explaining the modernized process of manufacturing these products. In
addition to that, the review of these literatures helped in understanding how the use of
these products has evolved over the years.
1st division: Wooden shoe manufacturing
The wooden Dutch clogs were water proof, which made them very useful while
working in marshy fields. Besides being used in fields while working, some of the
wooden shoes were made to look colorful so that they could be used to attend
occasions and even go to church. With industrialization, however,
Advantages Of Viral Marketing
INTRODUCTION
Technology and information have growing rapidly in recent decades led to the
increasing number of new media that support the means to communicate. It is
considered as a new era of communication and information. The massive scale of
development gradually continued to be used by many parties, especially in the
process of dissemination of information via internet. Everyone use the internet to
distribute information and news to other people. The phenomenon of Internet usage
is evidenced by the increasing number of internet users in the world, especially in
developing countries. Based on data obtained from the International

Then, according to Dahan (2012) quoted by Snyder (2004), viral marketing is a type
of word of mouth marketing technique used on the internet . Viral marketing can
encourage customers to communicate with each other in order to offer product or
brand under consideration. Viral marketing concept, which was first used by Steve
Jurvetson and Tim Draper, is defined as a word of mouth marketing technique used
in relation to a brand, product or service similar to the spread of viruses on social
networks on electronic media (Comet, 2006; Dahan, 2012; cited in Akyol, 2013). In
conclusion, viral marketing can be defined as a word of mouth marketing technique
that use internet as a social networks media to spread information related to our
products or brands.
Viral marketing is different with other marketing strategies. The difference is that it
has an authentic content that provokes individuals. Individuals share this creative
content due to its authenticity on electronic social networks and thus, this content
reaches millions of people by being communicated from one individual to another
on social networks (Wilson, 2005; cited in Dahan, 2012). This content, which
spreads like a virus very fast from one individual to another, increases awareness
even if it does not affect the sales of the related brand, product or service instantly

Heaven is Common to Most Religions Essay example
While religion can be a vague topic where many things seem unconnected between
two or more faiths, heaven is a common aspect of most popular religions, such as the
various denominations of Christianity, Islam, Judiasm, and Buddhism. All of these
religions have a place, be it physical or another dimension beyond our
comprehension, where people s souls reside after death. The Christian view of heaven
is one many are familiar with, even if they are not necessarily a practicing Christian,
as it is the one most commonly depicted in the media. The baptist denomination
believes that heaven is a real, physical place that souls ascend to after death. The
only requirement for getting into heaven is to accepted Jesus as lord and savior, and...

Most believe either in a heaven like the Christian one, usually said to exist on
another plane, or that the souls wait until the coming of the messiah, after which
they may go to heaven. Entrance to heaven is obtained after death if the person was
righteous in life. Hell is not as clear cut as heaven, as some Orthodox Jews believe
that a wicked person s soul is tormented by demons of their own creation, often
temporarily unlike Christianity, or that their soul may be destroyed at death and
cease to exist. If an Orthodox Jew believes in heaven, they often believe it as a
more spiritual heaven with no solid apperances, or they believe that a person
would look in heaven as they did on Earth. Most Jews that believe in heaven
believe that they can enjoy worldly pleasures as they did on Earth. Moderate
Muslims believe in heaven as a place to go after death for those who do more good
deeds than bad. They believe it is a real place that allows them to experience any
and all worldly pleasures as they wish, as they reside in large, comfortable
mansions with an abundance of delicious food. They also believe in a hell, where
they would be punished physically and spiritually for the bad deeds that they had
committed in life, and there are many different levels of hell corresponding to the
severity of the sins the dead had committed. Fundamentalist Muslims have some
major similarities, but also some very large differences. Both types of Muslims
The Aeronautical Telecommunication Network ( Atn )
2.3 AERONAUTICAL TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK (ATN) :
2.3.1 Introduction
In the early 1980s, the international civil aviation community started to express
concern about the limitations on existing facilities and procedures, and their inability
to cope with increasing air traffic in the future years. Consequently Special
Committee on FANS was established to study, identify and assess new concepts and
technology in the field of air navigation, including satellite technology, and also to
make recommendations thereon for the development of air navigation for
international civil aviation over a period of 25 years. A major result was the global
Communications, Navigation and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM)
concept which identified the use of data communications and of satellite based
systems as being the two major areas of improvement to the then existing systems.
The CNS/ATM concept was further developed and redefined, after which the
Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (ATN) became an integral part of CNS
/ATM systems. The ATN comprises application entities and communication services
which allow ground, air ground and avionics data subnetworks to interoperate. This is
done by adopting common interface services and protocols based on International
Standards. The ATN has been designed to provide data communication services to
Air Traffic Service (ATS) provider organizations and Aircraft Operating agencies for
the following types of communication traffic:

History And Development Of Modern Operative Obstetrics
Essay
Chapter 2 2.1 History of caesarean section and development of modern operative
obstetrics The first modern caesarean section was performed by German
gynaecologist Ferdinand Adolf Kehrer in 1881.(1) Probably the very first
documented evidence of caesarean birth is a legal text dating to theera of
Hammurabi (1795 1750 BC), describing the birth of a male child pulled out of the
womb of a deceased woman (7). The name sectio caesarea was first used by the
French obstetrician Guillimeau in 1598. At that time, the operation was used to
deliver live babies from dead mothers (4). There are three different explanations
about the origin of the name of the operation. 1)In 715 BC, the King of Rome,
Numa Pompilius, codified the Roman laws. According to the law, it was
forbidden to bury a dead pregnant woman before the fetus was excised. If the child
was alive, it was called a caeson . This law, Lex Caesaris or Lex Caesarea, is
assumed to be the origin for the name of the procedure cesarean section (4, 7, 9).
2)It has also been stated, that Julius Caesar has been delivered by this method, and
gave the name for the operation. This is considered unlikely, because his mother is
known to have been alive during Julius Caesars adulthood. During his reign about
100 BC no woman is known to have survived the operation. 3)A third explanation is
that the name is simply derived from the Latin verb caedare, to cut. The word
section is also derived from the latin verb secare, to cut (4).
Don Juan The Trickster Of Seville
Don Juan, the Trickster of Seville, his name says it all. Don Juan is a charming,
seductive, ladies man who thrives off of seducing women and will do anything
and everything to do so. His love for romance and women and his lack of moral
obligations make him a guy that parents warn their daughters about. Don Juan is
the ultimate bad boy when it comes to love and getting what he wants. Not only is
he a womanizer, but a true representation of the wages of sin. Don Juan lives his
life as if he is untouchable and true definition of a risk taker when it comes to sin.

unrighteous path of life for us to see. In the very beginning of the play we learn Don

and mislead us to sin. Again, we see the dark to describe Don Juan s sinful heart

and my greatest pleasure is to trick women, leaving them dishonored (II, 269). Don
Juan truly has no remorse, shame, empathy, or conscience for his wicked ways
and will do anything even to his own friend for his sexual desires. If he wants
something, he will make sure that he gets what he wants by using whatever means
he needs to. He doesn t think about how his actions make you feel, or others loss
and we see that here with Marquis. All Don Juan thinks are achieving his own needs

Marquis who he plays one of his most scandalous tricks

Most evictions requires a notice demanding that the tenant does something or refrains
from doing something or in the alternative vacate the house. The most common cause
of eviction is failure to pay rent. This kind of eviction requires a three day notice to
pay the rent or vacate. The tenant can pay the rent before the lapse of the three
days to avoid eviction. The tenant must have defaulted payment in order to serve
the notice. The tenant can also be evicted for failure to comply or a violation of the
tenant agreement. The notice period of this type of eviction is three days and the
tenant must comply with the relevant section of the tenant agreement. The tenant
can also be evicted for waste nuisance or illegal activity. The three day notice for
this type of eviction requires the tenant to have caused substantial destruction of
the house, involved in illegal activities or an arrest on the property. This notice
does not give the tenant the option to comply but requires the tenant to vacate
before the end of the notice period. There is also the 30 day notice for the
termination of tenancy agreement. In this case, Larry does not have grounds to
evict Roger. The damage on drywall and the electric socket are not substantial to
issue a notice for waste. However, Larry can ask Roger to make repairs. At the end
of the lease period, the tenant is expected to return the house to the lands lord in the
state it was in before the
The Problem Of Youth Culture
Inhalants have been a problem in youth culture longer than one might expect in the
United States. In the 1950 s it began to be discovered that kids were experiencing
effects of getting high by sniffing glue. Inhalants are very dangerous due to the fact
they are a stealth drug. That is, they are mostly substances that were never intended
for human consumption. Moreover, the users can obtain a fast high at home by
telling their parents they are going to study; while disappearing into their room to
huff an inhalant. Inhalants are difficult to regulate considering they do have practical
uses for particular purposes. Thus, most of the products used to obtain a high are not
prohibited from sale in the economic market. Inhalants are becoming... Show more

The Issues Of Technology And Technology
Introduction
Within this essay the issues to be discussed are problems about technology.
Information technology is very important in today s world and is used daily by
many people all across the continents. Information technology has its pros and cons
like other technology does, but one of the major problems are security and privacy.
The main issue of this topic would be cyber threats to computer networks. Examples
are threats involving denial of service attacks, malicious software, sniffers and more.
About Technology

This can be done by relating a healthy diet to activities which the child enjoys and
recognizes. If a child asks why they should eat broccoli, one can answer by
explaining that eating broccoli gives you more energy to run and jump. Because
playing is an activity which children tend to enjoy, they will then relate the healthy
food choice of broccoli with pleasure. At all times a child must be supported in
developing and understanding of the importance of physical activity and making
healthy choices in relation to food (EYFS (2007) in Macleod Brudenell, 2008, p70)
What also should to be considered by a practitioner are the different physical needs
of each child. When proposing a balanced diet, allergies, religions, or different diet
choices should be taken into account. Eczema is an example of a condition which
can be triggered by dietary choices. This condition can have an effect on a child s
physical well being and therefore food products which promote eczema will have to
be identified and supplemented for in a child prone to eczema outbreaks. If a child s
eczema is triggered by dairy products, one can consider using alternatives which will
also provide nutrition s to the child. This is just a simple example, but it is clear that
there are many alternative food products which can be used to promote good health in
children. The practitioner must understand and know their

The Impact Of Collectivization
Collectivization was one of Stalin s policies in addressing the emerging decline in
food production in the Soviet Union. He wanted to get rid of NEP which Lenin
started, he felt that it was not communism and was not fast enough. Therefore, he
introduced collectivization which started in 1928 and ended in 1940. It started
during the first five year plan and was part of it. Collectivization was Stalin s
answer to the grain procurement crisis of 1927 28. Grain was procured by force in
an attempt to socialize land, to ensure that it was no longer owned by individual
peasants. There were 3 types of collective farm. Firstly, The Toz, which was peasant
owned land but shared machinery and cooperating harvesting. Secondly, The Sovkhoz

Millions lived in primitive housing conditions while working on the vast projects in
the interior of Russia and the workers endured simultaneous pay cuts and
production speed ups in order to finance Stalin s ambitious projects without foreign
investments. Workers were ruthlessly disciplined: absenteeism was treated harshly
unless a doctor s certificate was produced; doctors who gave certificates too easily
faced prosecution themselves. Lastly, there was a severe shortage of consumer
goods due to concentration on heavy industries. These shortages led to high prices,
resulting in a 50% drop in actual value of the workers salaries as they could only buy
less with the same amount of
Tupac Attachment Theory
For this assignment I have chosen to write about Tupac Shakur. Tupac was a
rapper who was born in the ghetto of East Harlem, New York to a mother who was
part of the Black Panthers group. As a child he attended many Black Panther
meetings and was heavily influenced by what the leaders had to say. Tupac didn t
know his father and was raised by a man who was on the America s most wanted
list. After Tupac moved to Oakland, California, he hit a breakthrough with his music
and finally had a voice that would be heard. Tupac genuinely cared about others. He
was constantly standing up for what he believed in. Tupac was a huge advocate for
equality and had mentioned in many interviews that there was something off with the
world when it comes to treating... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to the American Psychoanalytic Association transference is a concept
that refers to our natural tendency to respond to certain situations in unique,
predetermined ways predetermined by much earlier, formative experiences usually
within the context of the primary attachment relationship (2018). I think that
because he grew up with parents who fought hard for equality among the black
community, Tupac carried through with it in his adult life. If it weren t for his
mother and stepfather teaching him that he should be proud to be black because it
is what makes him who he is, then he probably wouldn t have grown up to fight so
hard for equality among everyone. I also think that growing up in the ghetto and
knowing first hand what it was like to struggle made him into the man he was. He
took his own personal experiences and used it to relate to his audience and discuss
how to keep pushing through because it will get better. His relationship with his
mother strongly influenced his personality and views as an adult. If it weren t for his
mother taking care of him on her own because her husband was constantly on the run,
I think that Tupac would have fallen into the trend of degrading women in his

Running head: GOLEMAN S SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE BOOK REVIEW
Dan Goleman s Social Intelligence Book Review
Summary of Key Points
Unveiling a New Science Goleman contends that the most fundamental revelation of
this new discipline is that people are wired to connect. Neuroscience has discovered
that our brain s very design makes it sociable, unavoidably drawn into a neurological
connection whenever we interact with another person. This two way connection
allows us to affect everyone we interact with both physically and mentally. The new
science of social intelligence should be thought of in terms of being intelligent not
just about our personal and professional relationships, but also in them. Goleman
explains that this involves ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It includes first, primal empathy, or feeling with others and sensing nonverbal signals.
Second, attunement, or when you listen to others with full attention. Third, empathic
accuracy, or when you have an understanding of another person s thoughts, feelings,
and intentions. Fourth, social cognition or knowing how the social world works.
Social facility suggests that simply sensing how another person feels, or knowing
what they think or intend, does not guarantee fruitful interactions. Social facility
builds on social awareness to allow smooth, effective interactions. The scope of social
facility includes first, synchrony or interacting smoothly at the nonverbal level.
Second, self presentation or presenting ourselves effectively. Third, influence or
shaping the outcome of social interactions. Fourth, is a concern or caring about others
needs and acting accordingly.
Recognizing the Human Being To explain this point, Goleman asks the reader to
imagine a doctor, a successful heart surgeon, who is emotionally distant from his
patients. Not only is he lacking in compassion, but is also quite dismissive, even
disdainful of them and their feelings. Goleman tells the story of a surgeon who had
just operated on a patient who had jumped out of a fifth floor window in a suicide

General Electric Leadership Essay
ASSIGNMENT ON LEADERSHIP
Lecturer: Dr. Brian O Reilly
Title: Compare and Contrast Two Leaders
Executive Summary
This paper would take leadership into account by comparing and contrasting two
well known leaders in General Electric (GE). The paper first introduces two leaders
with some brief biographies, characteristics and their contribution to the GE. It then
looks at who would be the more effective leader by providing with some aspects of
leadership. It then comes up with some skills these people employed in their
leadership to help GE growth rapidly during 1990s till now. The next part will put a
conclusion and some recommendations about leadership for potential leaders in the
future.

Welch was a very good hunter for opportunities and also a good manager of risks
and threats while Immelt improved what Welch had. As a successful story in
business management, application of Six Sigma program in GE was spread over
the world as one of the most valuable lessons among businesses in the world relating
to quality control. (see Appendix B, Story 1)
Above all, Welch was a ruthless taskmaster at GE. Immelt works with long term
perspective rather with a short term one. Immelt proved that he is a very effective
leader by helping GE overcome the hardship in 2001 when terrorist attacks on
September 11 were a harbinger of bad times to come for GE. (see Appendix B, Story

It s really difficult to say this leader is better than another one. To compare and
contrast them, in the range of this paper, in terms of leadership, we would just use
leadership styles, traits of emotional intelligence that helped them become top leaders
in the world.
2.1. Leadership styles
In the reign of Jack Welch during his 20 year at GE, a new leadership style was
introduced and spread companywide. Welch developed a ranking system that put
employees in one of the three categories. The top 20 percent were stars , the middle
70 percent were the crucial majority and the bottom 10 percent were weeded out.
Through his policy of differentiation, Welch was able to separate those who

In A Pair of Silk Stockings by Kate Chopin, the protagonist, Mrs. Sommers, finds
herself in a dilemma when she is given the responsibility of fifteen dollars and
loses her responsibility as a mother as she spends the the money on herself which
showcases the need for self reliance. Being her own antagonist, Mrs. Sommers is
torn between the two roles she has in her life, being her own person and being a
mother. In the beginning of the story we see Mrs. Sommers as a responsible mother
that puts the needs of her children before herself that she forgets to eat lunch.
Between getting the children fed and the place righted, and preparing herself for the
shopping bout, she had actually forgotten to eat any luncheon at all! (pg.31) Mrs.

What Is Joint Ventures
What is a Joint Venture?
Joint ventures can take on many looks, but the basic gist is that two or more
companies come together to pool their talents, resources and customer lists for the
benefit of all. The joint venture allows you to share advertising dollars for a more
effective campaign and gives you the opportunity to ride the coattails of a bigger,
more established company in order to boost your reputation and build your customer
base.
Most joint ventures take place between related companies that share a similar target
market, but do not compete directly in the goods and services they offer.

Popular Science Argument Structures
Argument structures have three different categories, appeals, focuses, and framings,
each one to shape the material that is being presented. Appeals are as they sound in
order to gravitate someone, to give it some flare in order to become desirable in the
aspect of being read. In a research article this can be demonstrated in the form of
writing about the newness of things such as the new findings, the new discovery, new
research, new testing, anything that can be new and be shown off is inserted. On
the other side of the spectrum a popular science article will want to share what is
able to be sold or what is worth reading, just a gossip magazine is picked up more
than a cooking magazine, it is all about knowing your audience and how to engage
them.

The purpose of this study was to observe whether or not tripartite motif 5О±
(TRIM5О±) proteins in Old World monkeys (OWM) can reduce replication done by
herpes simplex virus (HSV) in human HeLa cells. The premise for this
experimentation was that TRIM5О± proteins from OWMs was known to block
replication of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and other retroviruses. HSV is a
human nuclear DNA virus that can replicate in many different species of animal as
well as in many different types of cells. It can gain access to different types of cells
due to its 12 envelope surface glycoproteins and uses the heparan moiety of the

Data: The first experiment that was performed was to study the reduction of
replication in rhesuss macaque cells verses reduction of replication human HeLa
cells. In this experiment, the two cells types were infected with HSV 1 and HSV 2
and in both results from both virus strains, the rhesus monkey showed higher
reduction rates than in the human HeLa cells. Viral yield was measured using a
plaque assay on Vero cells. Rhesus macaque cells were chosen in this study
because the TRIM5О± protein of the rhesus macaque because it has the highest
rate of viral inhibition. To further prove that TRIM5О± was responsible for
restricting HSV replication, TRIM5О± expressing HeLa (H R) cells were used to
observe whether or not there was a reduction in replication and compared it to
control HeLa (H L) cells. It was found that low MOIs resulted in successful
TRIM5О± restriction of replication, but higher MOIs resulted in similar results in
H R and H L cells. The viral yield was measured on Vero cells. This is an interesting
result because both the H R cells and H L cells could not reduce replication of the
virus with a high MOI. This might have to due with the amount of TRIM5О± in the
H R cells and the virus can easily overwhelm at a certain threshold. The researchers
also decided to test TRIM5О± from different types of OWMs including the African
green monkey, rhesus monkey, and squirrel

Nowadays, China has become the second largest economy in the world. The GDP
(gross domestic product) of china was growing at 9.7% per year in average since
1978, which the year of Chinese open door politic founded. China also has become
the biggest producer and consumer in many key agricultural and industrial markets

The Gini coefficients of rural populations increased about 75% and the urban
increased about 113% in these 30 years. Moreover, the aggregate Gini coefficient for
China reached 0.4 by 2000, which imply the serious income inequality of China in
general.
At the same time, the class formation is also getting serious from these 30 years.
The income ratios of top 10% urban households was 3 times to the bottom 10% in
1985, but it s turn to about 9 in 2007, which showed in figure 5.

Although the income inequality is very serious in china, some economists based on
Kuznets s Inverted U Curve Hypothesis , still argue that is good for Chinese
economy. The income inequality is the reasonable products of industrialization. They
believe that China is in the initial stage of industrialization, so the income inequality
is positive to Chinese economy like proving cheap labour force. However, they
ignored many serious damage of income inequality to Chinese society and future
economic growth.
The damage of income inequality
The rising urban rural income inequality made a deeper and deeper gap between
urban areas and rural areas. In China, with the rapid development of urban
Capitalism And Urbanization In America
Urbanization already took hold on the east coast and slowly transitioned to the west
coast. Capitalism and industrialization found a new home with the mass immigration
waves.
Manufacturing and mass production of clothing led to the popularization of these
jeans. The
influence of clothes often plays a central role in the manifestation and preservation of
social
standards. An emerging consumer culture emerged from the mines and from the need
for
clothes that would sustain extreme elements and long laborious work schedules.
Identity
becomes an important issue with the advent of mass consumption. Consumption in
many ways
changed social norms during this time. Elements like dynamics of personal identity
and mass
consumption reveal how cultural values are in constant cycles of being made and
remade through
every day transactions.
Mass manufacturing of textiles and clothing arguably directly or indirectly affected
the
economic growth of California and even the west coast. Additionally, mining booms

Essay on How to Stop Candida Yeast Infections
Alcohol is prepared through fermentation process using yeasts, and can yeild candida
infections and allergies as an outcome. Therefore, intake of wines, beers and ciders
can be the primary reason of candida infection and should be the number one thing to
quit, which could be quite challenging for majority who suffer from yeastinfections. I
have mentioned this in other parts of this book as well. Patients with candida have to

alcohol till the problem is totally cured. Patients immunity system degrades due to the
propagation of the yeast in the body.

Problems of yeast infections in children
When the yeast syndrome is not correctly and timely detected in candida infected
kid by a medical practitioner (who does not comprehend or well informed about
candida), he/she may misinterpret the case as the kid patient is over active and
has low level of learning capacity. A well known pediatric, Dr.William Crook, the
author of The Yeast Syndrome observed that his young patients recovered notably
as soon as their overgrown yeast is treated and they resume back to a healthy and
playful life. It is a sorry state of affairs that most of the child specialist doctors do
not have enough knowledge and expertise to diagnose child intestinal dybiosis to
treat the illness properly, as Dr.Crook did.
Candida affected children suffer from numerous allergic disorders that may have
impact on many other areas as well.

Although it is a book about Billy s memories of the war, Kurt Vonnegut uses the
existence of the Tralfamadorians, a species of aliens who watch over the earth, to
represent Billy s inability to understand a world engulfed in war. The book as a

The book as a whole can be viewed as Kurt Vonnegut s personal experiences with war.
Similarly, Billy Pilgrim survives a plane crash, just as Kurt Vonnegut had done. The
Tralfamadorians teach Billy their knowledge of time and free will. They say that
everything that has happened and will happen is uncontrollable. This leads Billy
to believe that no matter what he could have done in the past, there is no way he
could have avoided his experiences in war. Because of this, Billy does not try to
prevent his son from fighting in the Vietnam war, even though he knows the
horrors of war. There also are parallels between the Tralfamadorians and the
Germans. Both the Germans and the Tralfamadorians lock Billy up and explain to
him that he has no free will nor control over his life. When Billy asks why the
Tralfamadorians chose to take him, they just respond that there is no why. On

A fundamental advantage of ECS adjustment for effective dynamic thermal storage
is that it is relatively easy to implement. Conventional air conditioning and
thermostats are designed to perform in slow control loops, on time scales of
minutes. ECS adjustment can use time scale separation and stay away from this
effective dc loop action. In this sense, an ac feed forward signal is injected into a
drive to adjust power flow on fast time scales, while avoiding interference on slow
time scales. The average performance of the ECS system remains intact, and the fast
adjustment is transparent to users. Fig. 2 displays this implementation control.

A few recent papers [53] [56] have demonstrated a virtual synchronous machine
(VSM) concept, particularly for microgrid applications and usually for distributed
generators utilizing the same ac dc ac conversion stages. The same concept
applied on flywheel based energy storage is discussed in [57]. Given the
similarities existed in the MEA power grid and motor controlled thermal storage, it
is deemed feasible to implement the VSM concept in this research. A high level
description is shown in Fig. 3. For a synchronous machine in the rotating reference
frame, the d q voltage and current relationship is shown in (1a b), where vg is the
grid voltage, R is the stator resistance, M is the magnetizing, and Ld = Lq = L is
assumed. On the other hand, the active front end (i.e., the hex bridge converter
connected to the gird) follows (2a b) in d q reference frame at П‰c rotating speed,
where Rg and Lg are grid tied resistance and inductance, and vc is the output
voltage at the converter controlled by modulation index from the dc voltage bus [].
The analogy between (1a b) and (2a b) is straightforward. By equating the first three
terms and varying the modulation indices, md and mq, the active front end mimics
the VSM proposed in [ZhongQC]. The purpose of the ac motor tied inverter (i.e., the
left hex bridge converter in Fig. 3) is to main a constant 270 V dc bus by adjusting
the motor speed and torque using conventional vector controls. Given the limited
Misconceptions About Sharks

machines, they re aggressive towards humans; they re unimportant to the ocean s
ecosystem. I highly disagree with these notions. In fact, I believe sharks are one of
the greatest animals on the planet. Despite the stigma surrounding sharksand their

Experts say sharks rarely ever attack humans unprovoked. Most shark attacks are
caused by mistaken identity, meaning they mistook you for a seal or a turtle, a
shark s prey (see below). Sharks also investigate things by bumping it with their
snout, or by putting it in their mouth. This is what causes hit and runs the shark
takes a bite and disappears. This is because the shark realized you weren t prey, or
that you even tasted good. Shark attacks are also uncommonly fatal. According to
statistics, only about 7% of shark attacks end in death. The three species of shark that
are the most common perpetrators behind shark attacks are: the bull shark, tiger
shark and great white, in that order. This isn t to say that those particular species are
more aggressive or dangerous than other species. Unlike, say, lemon sharks, bulls,
tigers and great whites are more likely to encounter a human. Statistics show that
beaches with more visitors each year have more shark attacks. For example, Florida
sees around 90 million tourists each year, whereas North Carolina only gets about 50
million. Guess which state has more shark attacks? The more people in the water, the
higher the chance of a shark attack

Shoshones Indian Tribe
What are Shoshones ? Shoshones are an Indian tribe people might also refer to them
as the snake nation. This tribe usually stays in both east and west of the Rocky
Mountains. Shoshones are very diverse, some Shoshones live west of the Rockies in
roofless grass huts. In order for them not to starve, they would hunt fish, birds, and
rabbits. Other Shoshones also lived in east and north, these Shoshones lived in tepees
and they hunted buffalo.
These buffalo hunters are known as the lemhi Shoshones. Lemhi Shoshones lived on
the plains what is now Montana. They had brave men members, they grew poor and
hungry over time. This is because of their enemies, which drove the rich buffalo plains
into the mountains. In order for them not to die of starvation

In both offices, the network closets were small and we could not install the
equipment correctly. The Picture 4 shows the network closet of Valencia, the
switch doesn t fit into the closet and the router could not be installed inside it. We
had the same problems in Caracas. [pic] [pic] To finish the network set up Pat
Aquila installed the Access Point. We connected it to port 23 in both switches and
made the wireless network available. We made a small site survey and found a
good place to install the AP, and as a result we got a good signal in all
environments. Picture 5 shows the Access Point of Valencia, which is located on
the second floor, immediately above the stairs. [pic] 5. PRINTERS: In both offices,
each computer has a local printer device connected and these are shared with other
machines on the network. All the printers are old and the models are outdated.
Printer issues are resolved by a local outsourced company. The offices
Obstetric Ultrasound Research Paper
When someone hears the word ultrasound the first thing that one thinks of is
probably a baby. People think of the black and white little image that shows the

done depends on the positioning of the fetus or what the sonographer thinks is best

Health And Wealth, Poverty, And The Way We Organize
Out...
1)According to Article 15, Health and Wealth, poor people tend to have shorter lives
and more health problems. What are some of the reasons that this is the case? What
can be done about the situation?
Article 15, Health and Wealth, states that some of the factors which led to poor
health are inequality, poverty, and the way we organize out health care system.
Even though all these factors are involved but the main reason leads to poverty.
Poverty seems to be the key reason because everything costs so much. Most of the
Americans are not paid enough to meet their personal need and barely have
enough money to make their ends meet. The struggle of trying to be on the
economic level hurts their health because people tend to take a lot of stress.
Poverty has a lot of dangers like consumption of too much alcohol, tobacco, illegal
drugs and fast foods. This sort of lifestyle can have a great impact on health causing
some dangerous diseases. Some of the other leading diseases that can be found in the
poor are cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and untreated medical conditions, because
they cannot afford the health care systems. Even the middle class society worries
about medical emergencies or trips to the doctor s office because they are not sure,
what might be covered in their insurance.
2)Please summarize the ways in which our mainstream media make the issue of
economic class invisible, as discussed in Article 45, Media Magic: Making Class
Invisible.

One challenge is the depth of research needed to gather relevant information on both topics. • 2. Vacation Persuasive Speech Most people have that one vacation with no happy memories. Remember the summer trip in 2008? The one where all you did was complain? That s the one. Money spent on these trips doesn t care how often you were bored, making it seem as though it was wasted. But if every picture from the trip brings a smile to your face, then the larger cost isn t as bad. It isn t as difficult with older people to organize a vacation, because if they are together, similar activities often are enjoyed. The challenge comes when kids, mainly younger ones, are in tow. Adults planning vacations should consider what they are looking for, whether it is fun and adventure or calm and relaxed. But how do you know what s appropriate for you, since every family is different? For starters, the more hyper the kids, the more exciting the vacation. Hiking, whitewater rafting, and national park sight seeing all keep the adventure going. The natural wonders of Yellowstone, the Badlands, and Mount Rainer, to name a few, fill the western United States, and are beyond magical. Geysers spraying sixty feet into the air never fail to impress anyone, and the countless rock formations bring questions about the sanity of the Earth. When looking for activities on a fast paced trip, mountains are the place to go. Fun all year round, they offer hiking and rafting during the warmer seasons, and breathtaking skiing and other snow activities when the weather gets cold. Camelback Mountain in Pennsylvania has

All snowflakes are composed of exactly the same material, but when scrutinized, no two are the same. The same can be said about two narratives which may contain the same story but the meaning can change when recounted by different narrators. The difference in narratives can be observed in the novel and film adaptation of Me and You written by NiccolГІ Ammaniti s and directed by Bernardo Bertolucci. All stories contain a mixture of constituent and supplementary events. The overall constituent events that must be present in Me and You are that Lorenzomust first lie about leaving for a week long ski trip, then he must hide in a cellar, after which Olivia rest with her brother until the week ends. Both Ammaniti and Bertolucci insert supplementary events that although do not move the story forward or directly affect the constituent events, add meaning to their perspective of the story. The supplementary event which Ammaniti attaches to his narrativeoccurs when he writes the scene about Lorenzo and his mother were stuck in a traffic jam on the Corso Vittorio. On the other hand, Bertolucci incorporates the scene where Oliva invites a friend to the cellar to further strengthen his vision for his narrative. Meanwhile Ammaniti crafts his narrative to present the reader with Italy s imperfections and perfections, Bertolucci limits the audience s knowledge of the Italy outside of Lorenzo s bunker to bring us to a closer meaning of
  • 5. Benefits Of Peer Mentoring Juvenile mentoring programs have shown to be extremely successful for both mentor and mentee. Mentoring programs builds connections and within those connections there is guidance, support, and knowledge being shared on both ends. Mentoring at risk youth is essentially to improve academic achievement, improve interpersonal skills and for personal development. Choosing between cross age mentoring and peer mentoring has to be intentional and should be based off of what the youth needs. Peer mentoring is defined as: two youths of different ages that reflects a greater degree of hierarchical power imbalance than is typical of a friendship and in which the goal is for the older youth to promote one or more aspects of the younger youth s development (The Handbook of Youth Mentoringby David Dubois). Because of the small age difference, mentees feel comfortable and compelled to share any thoughts, ideas, and ask more questions. Being close in age allows the mentor to be able to understand and relate to what their mentee is expressing. From this, the mentor can present solutions or advice. Cross age mentoring is essentially adult to youth mentoring. A lot of the at risk youth do not have solid adult figures in their lives; having an older mentor can fill this void. Cross age tutoring is argued to be more effective than other techniques because adults are seen as role models since they have more life experience. Mentoring has emerged as a promising approach for enriching
  • 6. To Kill A Mockingbird And The Movie Of To Kill A Mockingbird Introduction To start off I have to say that I am so impressed by this movie. Most good books are followed by an alright movie even these days with modern filming technology. But this was an awesome movie and book. I am obviously not the only one who thinks so because this movie received the Academy Award for Best Actor , The Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, and the Golden Globe for the Best Film Promoting International Understanding. Summary: Atticus Finch is a lawyer in the racially discriminating town of Maycomb, Alabama. Atticus, along with his children, Scout and Jem, experience a few life changing events when he fights to defend a black man who is said to be guilty of doing the unspeakable. As the truth starts to unravel in the court case, Mayella s father, Bob Ewell is filled with rage. This leads him to do the unthinkable, resulting in yet another unexpected turn of events for Scout and Jem. Positives: I really appreciate the fact that the movie is so closely accurate to the book, because most of the time, producers don t bother too much about following the same storyline as the book while making the movie. Although some people may not like the fact that the movie is in black and white, I feel like it adds to the whole effect of a quiet, sleepy town in Alabama. I also loved the sound effects and music used in the movie because they always play it just at the right moments. For example, if it s starting to get dark and scary, there will be

The Christian view of heaven is one many are familiar with, even if they are not necessarily a practicing Christian, as it is the one most commonly depicted in the media. Most believe either in a heaven like the Christian one, usually said to exist on another plane, or that the souls wait until the coming of the messiah, after which they may go to heaven. Entrance to heaven is obtained after death if the person was righteous in life. Hell is not as clear cut as heaven, as some Orthodox Jews believe that a wicked person s soul is tormented by demons of their own creation, often temporarily unlike Christianity, or that their soul may be destroyed at death and cease to exist. If an Orthodox Jew believes in heaven, they often believe it as a more spiritual heaven with no solid apperances, or they believe that a person would look in heaven as they did on Earth. Most Jews that believe in heaven believe that they can enjoy worldly pleasures as they did on Earth. Moderate Muslims believe in heaven as a place to go after death for those who do more good deeds than bad. They believe it is a real place that allows them to experience any and all worldly pleasures as they wish, as they reside in large, comfortable mansions with an abundance of delicious food. They also believe in a hell, where they would be punished physically and spiritually for the bad deeds that they had committed in life, and there are many different levels of hell corresponding to the severity of the sins the dead had committed. Fundamentalist Muslims have some major similarities, but also some very large differences. Both types of Muslims

The Aeronautical Telecommunication Network ( Atn ) 2.3 AERONAUTICAL TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK (ATN) : 2.3.1 Introduction In the early 1980s, the international civil aviation community started to express concern about the limitations on existing facilities and procedures, and their inability to cope with increasing air traffic in the future years. Consequently Special Committee on FANS was established to study, identify and assess new concepts and technology in the field of air navigation, including satellite technology, and also to make recommendations thereon for the development of air navigation for international civil aviation over a period of 25 years. A major result was the global Communications, Navigation and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) concept which identified the use of data communications and of satellite based systems as being the two major areas of improvement to the then existing systems. The CNS/ATM concept was further developed and redefined, after which the Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (ATN) became an integral part of CNS /ATM systems. The ATN comprises application entities and communication services which allow ground, air ground and avionics data subnetworks to interoperate. This is done by adopting common interface services and protocols based on International Standards. The ATN has been designed to provide data communication services to Air Traffic Service (ATS) provider organizations and Aircraft Operating agencies for the following types of communication traffic: 1. • 14. History And Development Of Modern Operative Obstetrics Essay Chapter 2 2.1 History of caesarean section and development of modern operative obstetrics The first modern caesarean section was performed by German gynaecologist Ferdinand Adolf Kehrer in 1881.(1) Probably the very first documented evidence of caesarean birth is a legal text dating to theera of Hammurabi (1795 1750 BC), describing the birth of a male child pulled out of the womb of a deceased woman (7). The name sectio caesarea was first used by the French obstetrician Guillimeau in 1598. At that time, the operation was used to deliver live babies from dead mothers (4). There are three different explanations about the origin of the name of the operation. 1)In 715 BC, the King of Rome, Numa Pompilius, codified the Roman laws. According to the law, it was forbidden to bury a dead pregnant woman before the fetus was excised. If the child was alive, it was called a caeson . This law, Lex Caesaris or Lex Caesarea, is assumed to be the origin for the name of the procedure cesarean section (4, 7, 9). 2)It has also been stated, that Julius Caesar has been delivered by this method, and gave the name for the operation. This is considered unlikely, because his mother is known to have been alive during Julius Caesars adulthood. During his reign about 100 BC no woman is known to have survived the operation. 3)A third explanation is that the name is simply derived from the Latin verb caedare, to cut. The word section is also derived from the latin verb secare, to cut (4).

At all times a child must be supported in developing and understanding of the importance of physical activity and making healthy choices in relation to food (EYFS (2007) in Macleod Brudenell, 2008, p70) What also should to be considered by a practitioner are the different physical needs of each child. (see Appendix B, Story 1) Above all, Welch was a ruthless taskmaster at GE. Immelt works with long term perspective rather with a short term one. Immelt proved that he is a very effective leader by helping GE overcome the hardship in 2001 when terrorist attacks on September 11 were a harbinger of bad times to come for GE. (see Appendix B, Story 2) It s really difficult to say this leader is better than another one. To compare and contrast them, in the range of this paper, in terms of leadership, we would just use leadership styles, traits of emotional intelligence that helped them become top leaders in the world. 2.1. Welch developed a ranking system that put employees in one of the three categories. The top 20 percent were stars , the middle 70 percent were the crucial majority and the bottom 10 percent were weeded out. Through his policy of differentiation, Welch was able to separate those who

The premise for this experimentation was that TRIM5О± proteins from OWMs was known to block replication of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and other retroviruses. HSV is a human nuclear DNA virus that can replicate in many different species of animal as well as in many different types of cells. In this experiment, the two cells types were infected with HSV 1 and HSV 2 and in both results from both virus strains, the rhesus monkey showed higher reduction rates than in the human HeLa cells. Viral yield was measured using a plaque assay on Vero cells. Rhesus macaque cells were chosen in this study because the TRIM5О± protein of the rhesus macaque because it has the highest rate of viral inhibition. To further prove that TRIM5О± was responsible for restricting HSV replication, TRIM5О± expressing HeLa (H R) cells were used to observe whether or not there was a reduction in replication and compared it to control HeLa (H L) cells. It was found that low MOIs resulted in successful TRIM5О± restriction of replication, but higher MOIs resulted in similar results in H R and H L cells. The viral yield was measured on Vero cells. This is an interesting result because both the H R cells and H L cells could not reduce replication of the virus with a high MOI. This might have to due with the amount of TRIM5О± in the H R cells and the virus can easily overwhelm at a certain threshold. The researchers also decided to test TRIM5О± from different types of OWMs including the African green monkey, rhesus monkey, and squirrel

Capitalism and industrialization found a new home with the mass immigration waves. Manufacturing and mass production of clothing led to the popularization of these jeans. The influence of clothes often plays a central role in the manifestation and preservation of social standards. An emerging consumer culture emerged from the mines and from the need for clothes that would sustain extreme elements and long laborious work schedules. Identity becomes an important issue with the advent of mass consumption. Consumption in many ways changed social norms during this time. Elements like dynamics of personal identity and mass consumption reveal how cultural values are in constant cycles of being made and remade through every day transactions. Mass manufacturing of textiles and clothing arguably directly or indirectly affected the economic growth of California and even the west coast. Additionally, mining booms in the west demonstrated the growing co dependency of economies across the globe. Social and Economic growth of the gold rush affected the United States. Additionally, while social upheaval reshaped the population of the eastern U.S., the Pacific coast, instantaneously grew from an outpost to an economic region rivaling affluence of the eastern establishment.

In this sense, an ac feed forward signal is injected into a drive to adjust power flow on fast time scales, while avoiding interference on slow time scales. The average performance of the ECS system remains intact, and the fast adjustment is transparent to users. Fig. 2 displays this implementation control. A few recent papers [53] [56] have demonstrated a virtual synchronous machine (VSM) concept, particularly for microgrid applications and usually for distributed generators utilizing the same ac dc ac conversion stages. The same concept applied on flywheel based energy storage is discussed in [57]. Given the similarities existed in the MEA power grid and motor controlled thermal storage, it is deemed feasible to implement the VSM concept in this research. A high level description is shown in Fig. 3. For a synchronous machine in the rotating reference frame, the d q voltage and current relationship is shown in (1a b), where vg is the grid voltage, R is the stator resistance, M is the magnetizing, and Ld = Lq = L is assumed. On the other hand, the active front end (i.e., the hex bridge converter connected to the gird) follows (2a b) in d q reference frame at П‰c rotating speed, where Rg and Lg are grid tied resistance and inductance, and vc is the output voltage at the converter controlled by modulation index from the dc voltage bus []. The analogy between (1a b) and (2a b) is straightforward. By equating the first three terms and varying the modulation indices, md and mq, the active front end mimics the VSM proposed in [ZhongQC].
