Andre Caplet was a man of many talents. He was a great French conductor, composer, pianist,
and editor for many musician s works including Claude Debussy. On his first attempt, in 1901,
Caplet won the Prix de Rome for his piece Myrrha. This prestigious competition enabled the
winner to stay in Rome for 3 5 years to study music; It often took many great composers several
years to obtain. Caplet mainly made his career as a conductor though. He brought a very precise
element to the French music scene that had not yet been explored. He was recruited in 1910 to
be the conductor for the Boston Opera Company after which only two years he was promoted to

We didn t have birthdays like you growing up. I was gripped from the beginning of this interview
to learn about the generational differences between me and my grandmother. Donna McGuire,
my grandmother, has led a very different life than mine own due to multiple generation gaps and

The most obvious example of this is Frankenstein s own character. He is seen to be very
arrogant, immature, obsessive and melodramatic, especially in the earlier chapters of the book,
an example of which is when he describes that he was left to struggle with a child s blindness

Project, and decide to read into it. As I am reading, with the light from my phone illuminating my
face, I find out that it s a nonprofit organization that pairs you with a person. It is meant to help
you deal with an eating disorder, self harm, suicidal thoughts, and mental illnesses. I am seeing all
of this information and I know I need to join the project. It was that one day in November that
changed my life forever.
I remember my heart racing when I was paired with my first buddy. I found out that her name
was Abby; she was dealing with an eating disorder and suspected she was depressed. We both
hadn t gotten help at this point, so it wasn t truly beneficial. Pain and darkness were consuming
our lives, but speaking up didn t seem like an option. The next year, 2014, I met two new people.
Their names were Danielle and Jay. Again, mutual effort was being made, but nobody got the help

A common excuse among men who abuse women is I had no control over myself. In Audrey
Mullender s book Rethinking Domestic Violence: The Social Work and Probation Response 1996,

The first and prominent realization I had was during the behavior change project. This
assignment allowed me to take a step back, and assess where I stand physically and mentally. I

periodically prior to this moment, but I knew that I was capable of accomplishing more and using

She put her personal life at risk and got a divorce, but on the other hand lighted the ways of
hopeless students who had no chance but to sink in the negative waves of racism and endless
fights. The movie Freedom Writers presents a sensitive case of students coming from low
socioeconomic status, and different backgrounds having to face being together in the same
classroom in a time where the Latinos hate the black and the black hates the white who hates
both the Latinos and the black and so on. In a time where everyone had to stand for their own , a
white teacher chose to be part of change, and to enhance her student s lives overcoming all racial
and identity problems, and the risk of getting shot every day. As a teacher, the mission wasn t as
smooth as it was supposed to be. If it weren t for her intelligence and patience, she couldn t have
done the work, and successfully reached her goal. In this world, where facing diverse learners
had become a normal thing, it is the school s role and the teacher s in specific to deal with
