This was a very long stretch of beach near the Cherbourg peninsula, bordered by Utah Beach and
Gold Beach. The 1st and 29th American infantry divisions landed here on June 6, 1944 at

What am I doing? For my proposal I have chosen my focus to be based around mindfulness
strategies and how they can assist in emotional development at a primary school age. In society
we are seeing more and more children suffering from mental illness such as anxiety and
depression. I believe that by introducing and practicing mindfulness strategies in the classroom
environment, students will be able to stabilise and control their emotions which will in turn lead
to a sense of ownership for their actions of their body, speech and mind. This will allow students
to have a more positive outlook over their education because they will be more focused and
settled in the classroom. Why have I chosen this? I decided to cover this topic because it is a
personal topic that I am very interested in. Over the last few years I have personally taken up
mindfulness strategies such as meditation, to help alleviate stress and have more stability and
control over my emotions. Through gaining awareness of these strategies I have also been able
to learn about myself on a deeper level. I have built my own identity and gained confidence in

to hunt on as well as grow their crops for life sustainment. Along eastern North America, the Indians
thrived on corn, beans and squash along with hunting and fishing. The Mound Builders of the
Mississippi Valley, built structures constructed in a semicircular fashion overlooking the

castle, she was a cruel, vicious person. Lady purple was a vampire and Angela Carter described
her as, white as chalk because it was covered with the skin of supplest white leather which also
clothes her torso, jointed limbs and complication of extremities. Her beautiful hands seemed
more like weapons because her nails were so long, five inches of pointed tin enameled scarlet,
and she wore a wig of black hair arranged in a chignon more heavily elaborate than any human
neck could have endured. This monumental chevelure was stuck through with many brilliant pins
tipped with pieces of broken mirror so that, every time she moved, she cast a multitude of
scintillating reflections which danced about the theatre like mice of light. Her clothes were all of

particularly in the early stages of life, can have a significant impact on the persons ability to cope
and result in unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as sexual addictions. Sexual Abuse When sexual
abuse occurs (particularly for men, during their developing years), they can come to associate sex
with their self worth. The abuse can be so damaging, the person can begin to identify themselves
with that abuse and the gratification it gave the abuser. A damaging perception is then created that
they need to continue to gratify others in order to feel fulfilled.

Winston Smith 1984
1984 analysis The book Nineteen eighty four by George Orwell is a dystopian fiction novel is
based thirty years in the future. Where The main character Winston Smith lives in a totalitarian
government that took over the United Kingdom but is now called Oceania. This scary novel shows
what it would be like living in such a governmentwhere the rich are the leaders and then the rest are
in the working class and they get oppressed, watched and treated very poorly.
Nineteen eighty four is based on a totalitarian Government that watches everything you do. This
government is controlled by the leader, which never actually appears but is a big influence. He
shows up on all the telescreens and billboards all across the city. Big Brother is watching ... Show
The main character being Winston Smith and then you have Julia. Winston is a Thin middled
aged man who works at the Ministry of truth where he works to alter the history and input what
the party thinks would work more in favor for the Party. He doesn t live too far from where he
works which is a good thing because he has ulcers on his ankles which makes it hard for him to
walk and go up stairs which he has to do every day because the elevator where he lives is
unreliable and breaks down all the time. Winston meets Julia at his work. Julia is also against
the Party and thinks is wrong, but she is different in the way she rebels the Party. Julia displays
her rebellion in more of a sexual way and small little crimes. Julia soon becomes Winston s lover
as he finds a way to bring down the Party and get into contact with the Brotherhood. She is also an
optimist that claims to have multiple affairs with Party members Have you done this before? , Of
course. Hundreds of times well scores of times anyway. , With Party members? , Yes, always with
Party members. (2.2.48 51, Winston and Julia)and she rebels for her own personal pleasure.
Another important character would be Mr. Charrington. He helped Winston and Julia the whole
book, but then reveals his true character when he turns them in. Mr. Charrington owns a second
hand store in the Prole district and seems to encourage Winston s relationship

My s House And I Saw A Ghost
When I was nine years old I was at my Amma s house and I saw a ghost. I was mortified and
confused during the situation, and the morning after I quickly told my family who was scared and
just in shocked . It all happened on Christmas night. On Christmas Eve, my mom, sister, and I
drove down to my Amma s house in Illinois. My sister and I spent ChristmasEve going to mass and
baking Christmas cookies with Amma. That night we laid cookies and milk out for Santa and
went to bed. Soon it was Christmas morning. Isabelle and I ran down the long staircase and into
the living room excited to see under the large tree was an abundant amount of gifts for everyone.
Isabelle and I opened all our presents and got ready for the rest of the familyto come over to
exchange more gifts and have a Christmas Feast. Christmas music played around and the smell of
gingerbread and wine filled the house. The house was filled with poinsettias and sparkly
decorations. The sound of laughing and the ripping of wrapping paper was about. After we all
exchanged gifts with the rest of the family, we ate dinner in the grand dining room and retold old
Christmas memories. The night couldn t get any better than this. After dinner us grandkids helped
clean up and played with all our new toys. Soon my aunt and uncle and my two young cousins left
along with my grandpa, family friends, and my other aunt, uncle and cousin. My two cousins
