My Experience Abroad
What was the best part of your experience abroad?
I don t have enough positive words to describe my experience abroad. Being forced to adapt to a
different academic style made me grow as a student, and being exposed to different cultures has
opened me up to a world I never could have imagined. I was fortunate enough to travel to many
different European countries during my time abroad, and each one was more incredible than the
last. I think the best part of my experience abroad was living in London. I absolutely loved city
life. The tube has to be one of the world s greatest inventions, and it s incredible how small and
homey such a big place can feel when everything is easily connected.
What did you dislike about it?
Overall, my experience abroad was amazing. If I had to pick something to complain about, it would
likely be the third party program that I was a part of. Many students, along with myself, experienced
communication issues with the program provider, and the company didn t often accept
responsibility for the mistakes that they made throughout my time abroad. That being said, these
incidents didn t affect my experience enough that I regret choosing their program. I think in the
future, I would just advise other students to ask more questions and get everything in writing to

waste treatment. The adsorption data were well fitted by Freundlich isotherm model. Kinetic data

In the decades after City of Joy was published, the world s focus on climate change and
sustainable living increased greatly. People started to look to the future and realize the actual
costs of a rapidly changing world. The World Bank report called, Turn Down the Heat reports on
new research related to climate change and alayses the impacts and risk to developing countries.
Lapierre s novel certainly does not tackle an issue like climate change explicitly, but he does
show nature to have a large effect on people s lives, and several natural disasters in the City of
Joy have only increased in frequency since the book was written. Most importantly, City of Joy
displays the impacts and risks section of the World Bank report, as the effects of climate cut
deep to exacerbate many of the development problems in Anand Nagar. Hasari Pal is forced out
of farming due to the unmanageable climate. When the monsoon arrives, The sky is rendering
the earth fruitful. This is rebirth, the triumph of the elements (CoJ, 14). However, for Hasari Pal
and his village, the downpours never arrived. Lapierre details the quick destruction of lifestyle
