wintwintkyaw.mm@gmail.com Abstract This paper refers to generation and transmission
planning for Yangon region with the consideration of load forecasting. The planning period is
considered as long term planning with the period of 10 years. Yangon is now rapid urbanization
according to its development plans of people s living standard, newly build townships and
industrial zones with about 7.3 million people. It is obvious that, the electricity demand is under
pressure to be sufficient energy for Yangon region. Therefore, consideration of power system
planning becomes urgent issue. Wien Automatic System Planning Package (WASP IV) is
employed for generation planning with the result of five new projects in Yangon. Moreover,
Newton Raphson based load flow calculation is applied for making decision of new lines in the
expansion of transmission planning. According to the transmission planning result, three lines are
needed to upgrade the existing lines and four new lines are recommended are added. Keywords

The Wife Of BathпїЅs Tale And Prologue And The Franklin s Tale
In The Wife of Bath s Tale and Prologue and The Franklin s Tale, the central theme is the
relationship between man and woman. There are different views of this relationship or marriage in
these two tales: either the woman has the power in the marriage granted from her husband, or the
husband and wife grant each other power in the marriageso neither dominates. The Wifeof Bath
begins her prologue by explaining that she considers herself an authority of marriage due to her
experience ; the Wife of Bath says, Experience, though no authority/Were in this world, would be
enough for me/To speak of woe that married life affords;/For since I was twelve years of age, my
lords,/Thanks be to God eternally alive,/Of husbands at the church door I ve had five (Lines 1 6).

However, the Wife of Bath says she has her own interpretation of the Holy Scripture and God s plan
for her. She then goes on to say that men can only guess what Jesus meant when He told the
Samaritan woman that her fifth husband was not her husband, and she asks exactly how many
husbands she could have in a lifetime (20 23). The Wife of Bath goes on to say that God gave
men and women instruments to use and the instruments are not just for urinating but for pleasure
and procreation (134). The Wife of Bath says, In wifehood I will use my instrument/As freely as
my Maker has it sent./If I hold back, God bring me misery!/My spouse shall have it day and

Communism And Communism Similarities
China and Russia are seen as two of the most powerful nations in the world. Their strong military,
economy, and large amount of land and population. These two nations have many similarities and
differences that effect their relationship and how other nations see them across the globe. One
major trait they have in common in their governments political view, communism. Communism
was seen as one of the biggest threats to the world once it swallowed Chinaand Russia. Communism
is a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual
ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state (definition.com).

The legislative branch and the judicial branches of government are both in control of who is
elected into office and how people vote. Today, communism is still with China and Russia.
However one little detail of power has changed when the USSR became Russia. China focuses on
the preservation of power in the hands of one party and on the other hand Russia is obsessed with
the preservation of power in the hands of one man (blogs.reuters.com). Both countries also had
conflicts with the United States about communism and their way of thinking about government.
They constantly criticize the rest of the worlds ways of government. China and Russia had many
similarities with communism and government, but they also had many differences that separated
their thinking and beliefs. One of the most major differences was how long the rule of communism
lasted in both of these countries. China s communism lasted but Soviet did not
(classroom.synonym.com). Over the decades political parties that want to change Russia have
started to emerge. This wide list consists of The Communism Party of the Russian Federation, The
Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, Rodina, and United Russia (indexmundi.com). Communism is
shown in some sort of way with each of these parties. On the other hand, in china there is only one
party that is allowed to run for office, and that party is the Chinese Communism Party. This party
runs over eight nominally independent small parties

PERSUASION, INDOCTRINATION, AND INOCULATION 2 There are many dangers that
plague us in today s society. One of the most pressing issues is that of driving under the influence of
alcohol. This is a problem for many reasons. Firstly, driving while intoxicated is illegal. It shows
the rising problem of substance abuse, and most importantly, driving drunk is deadly. According
to Drinkinganddriving.org (2008 2013), 900,000 are arrested each year for DUI/DWI and a full 1/3
of those are repeat offenders . None of us are perfect. We all do things every day that... Show more

If you are convicted of DUI, it may be on your criminal record for your entire life. Offenses also
go on your driving record, which potential employers and insurers can access, ( How Stuff Works
, 1998 2013). If you are driving under the influence of alcohol, the chances of you having a
substance abuse problem are very high. Substance abuse, simply put, is losing control of yourself
to a substance. If you do not have enough self control, or common sense, not to get into a vehicle
when you have any type of foreign substance in your body, then you have a serious problem. Sure,
you may not be waking up at eight in the morning and devouring a bottle of gin, but you are not
only putting yourself in danger, but also others. With the amount of people in the United states that
have problems with alcohol, and the amount of DUI s that are given, the correlation between the
numbers is not at all surprising.
Alcohol is the number one drug problem in America. There are more than 12 million alcoholics
in the U.S. Three fourths of all adults drink alcohol, and 6% of them are alcoholics. Americans
spend $197 million each day on alcohol. In the United States, a person is killed in an alcohol
related car accident every 30 minutes. A 2000 study found nearly 7 million persons age 12 to 20
were binge drinkers. Three fourths of all high school seniors report being drunk at least once.
Adolescents who begin drinking before the age of 15 are four

Reduce The Prison Population Essay
In the U.S, five percent of the population is behind bars (Collier). State spending on corrections is
estimated at $52 billion a year with most spent on prisons ( The Potential of Community
Corrections to Improve Safety and Reduce Incarceration ). The reason for the U.S. prison
population increase is because we are sending people to prisonfor more time and also because of
drugs and we have focused on drug dealing and drug possession (Neyfakh). The U.S. Justice
System imprisons a lot of people who could have been held accountable in the community like
people with addictions or mental illnesses that don t have access to treatment in their community (

Ten to twenty five percent of US prisoners suffer from serious mental illnesses such as affective
disorders of schizophrenia (Collier). About 74 percent of state prisoners and 76 percent of local
jail inmates who had mental health problems met criteria for substance dependence of abuse
(James, Glaze). We need to improve programs that reduce drug addiction, 16 percent of people in
state prison and 18 percent of people in federal prison have reported committing their crimes to
obtain money for drugs ( For Immediate Release: How to... ). People of color are more likely to
suffer imbalance in treatment or mental health (Collier). Educational and vocational programs have
not been used as much as they should to help them re enter the community (Collier). Most states
offer a form of work release or community corrections programs that allow people to serve their
time while still taking part in the community ( For Immediate Release: How to... ). States and
countries are moving to shift the burden from institutional to community corrections by sending a
number of offenders to supervision agencies ( The Potential of Community... pg. 2). Community
based corrections supervision is less expensive than sending everyone to prison/jail and would be a
good source of a positive change ( The Potential od Community... 4). Community corrections

Summary Of The Big Game
The Big Game Brr! It s freezing cold! I woke up, it was just about 6:20 when I woke up to my
alarm buzzing. I went straight to brush my teeth first after realizing I had showered the night
before. Afterwards I put on my pants and my school shirt I then scurried down stairs, and I ate the
usually Kellogg s Frosted Flakes. Oh know it was already 6:50, which meant one thing. I only
have 20 minutes to watch ESPN. I dashed to living room and tried to turn on the television, but I
couldn t find it. I searched frantically. Then it hit me I screamed, at the top of my lungs, Aima .
She screamed, what.

How much longer I thought it felt like forever before we finally pulled u p at Ohio Nets. Since
we had not had dinner we debated over whether we should get something from the concession
stand. After a couple minutes of bickering my family decided to get some hotdogs and chips. I
ate my dinner, I and walked over to talk to my other teammates. We talked about school and other
sports, but then finally started talking about the real topic which was the game. The team that we
would face would be very lanky and masculine. They were also athletic,as well as us. But the real
question would we be able to keep up with their pace and be able to defend their height.
As warm ups started I began to feel a weird feeling in my stomach. I had never been affected by
the people around but I guess now I was actually scared. After warm ups we huddled up we were
given a quick speech, and told us that we did not need to be as physically gifted as they were but
we needed to be able to have the heart to overcome the challenge. The game began we started of
in a hole. The team was winning 10 4. They were not better than us they just were getting in our
heads, and making us make the wrong decisions.I sighed in disbelief when a boy named Ethan on
my team accidently shot on the other team s basket. At halftime it was 23 14 with us losing. We
were all looking down in the dumps. Since everyone didn t look to happy I tried to cheer them
up,but that didn t work.

The Giver Dystopian
In our English class we read The Giver . Usually novels that are obligatory at school tend to be
boring or too technical, but honestly this novel was different. I loved it. From the first chapter I
wanted to continue till the end. I was mesmerized by the core topic and once we analyzed it, that s
when I decided I would choose this as my written task topic.
What is a utopia actually? A utopia by definition means a perfect world with no flaws where
everyone lives a perfect life. In the book The Giver people discuss whether it s a utopian setting or
a dystopian setting. A dystopiais the exact opposite of utopia. A world that is imperfect with flaws.
Basically, the world we live in. We live with war and pain and with a political system full of flaws.
Whereas a utopian world is an imaginary world, best described as paradise.
I chose to write my own utopia, a small short story ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Hellenistic Homemaker Essay
The Hellenistic Homemaker
In both Xenophon s Oeconomicus and Lysias defense of Euphiletus murder of Eratosthenes, insight
into the purpose and function of Athenian marriage may be gained by examination of the speeches
of two citizens about their wives and their homes. Through both texts, it becomes apparent that the
citizen s value of his wife is based upon his wife s ability as an oikonomikos or skilled household
manager (Strauss, 3). It is through filling this role as her husband s housekeeper that an Athenian
woman experienced a loss of personal freedom and found herself trapped within a marriage in
which she had little contact or much in common with her husband. A woman s role as oikonomikos

Rather, when I considered for myself, and your parents for you, whom we might take as the best
partner for the household and children, I chose you, and your parents, as it appears, from among
the possibilities chose me (Xenophon, VII.10 11). Indeed, the girl is looked upon as an employee
of the husband and the oikos. Euphiletus states how ...in the beginning she was the best of women.
She was a clever housewife, economical and exact in her management of everything (Freeman, 44).
For Euphiletus, his wife s worth was based totally on her managerial skills.
Through Euphiletus and Socrates, the five requirements of a good oikonomikos come to be
apparent. The first requirement is that a new wife be young, so that she might be taught by her
new husband the ways to suit himself and his oikos perfectly. Socrates muses, ...it seems to me
there are certain ages at which both horses and human beings are immediately useful as well as
susceptible to improvement (Xenophon, III.10). Next, the young wife must be uneducated so that
she might be trained in just the way the husband wishes, and he will not suffer because of any
incorrect training she may have acquired. Socrates is asked by Ischomachos How, Socrates, he
said, could she have known anything when I took her, since she came to me when she was not yet

John M Barry On Politics Analysis
John M. Barry examines the nuances of power in America by comparting and connecting and the
concepts behind politics, sports, and the media in Power Plays. As a means of maintaining the
audience s attention, Barry uses an informative narrative tone through different specific examples
along with anecdotal experiences to prevent the topic from becoming entirely conceptual. Barry, a
former college football coach, is able to draw parallels between sports and politics displaying how
powerful agendas affect lives. Barry focuses much on the devious tactics that are used to create or
destroy America s most powerful figures.
Barry represents sports as a metaphor for American politics by demonstrating how the powerful will

Jim Wright and Newt Gingrich were both House Speakers. Jim Wright was the Speaker beginning
in 1987, however he was forced to resign in 1989. Barry explores how Gingrich, who Barry
recalls was ruthless in the coldest way, exploited and manipulated the media to unfairly and
unjustly bring down Wright through a scandal. While it was Gingrich who orchestrated the
attacks on Wright, Barry focuses mainly on the media as being a player in the game. Gingrich
understood the influential power of the media. While most politicians dislike the media as most of
what is written exists as lies or exaggerations, powerful politicians are able to manipulate the
media to further their own needs. Inside the game, the politician with the better tactics, for example
the one who knows what to say, when to say it, and with what tone should it be said, will have a
more positive relationship with the media and a greater chance to abuse the influence the media
has. Outside the game, similarly to athletes, money has power and can be crucial in establishing
relationships. Therefore the man who has greater money has a greater potential to create positive
ties with the media. Again, while this book, due to the time period, relates this power of influence
struggle between Wright and Gingrich, a more up to date comparison would be between potential
Presidential Candidates Hillary Clinton, who owns the media through inside the game tactics and
Donald Trump, who holds influence outside the game by using his own non lobbyist

Women s Portrayal Of Women
It is strange how one director can convey two entirely different depictions of women. Due to the
time period in which Hitchcock filmed Vertigo and Psycho, women had limited capability in
regards to what they could do in a film. Women could not be action heroes; in fact they were
often depicted as damsels in distress. The easiest answer to this sort of prejudice is that it was a
reflection of the culture of the 50s and 60s. Although this is partially true, it does not excuse the
fact that male directors made misogynistic choices that could have been remedied without being
considered radical or societally unacceptable. The inconsistencies in Hitchcock s portrayal of
women reveals this much, as shown by a study in the narrative, mise en scД—ne, and
cinematography of Vertigo (1958) and Psycho (1960).
The main female character in Vertigo is two people, in a sense, but even this duplicity does not help
her gain control in the film s narrative. Judy Barton is the woman s real name, but she spends the
first half of the movie charading as Madeleine Elster. One of the first scenes in which we see
Madeleine is when John is stalking her at the request of Gavin Elster. The cinematography of this
sequence reveals a lot about their relationship and how John objectifies Madeleine and Judy.
As John follows her from the flower store to the graveyard to the museum, Madeleine is almost
always shown from afar, in long shots, and almost never takes up the whole frame. This is all

The Caste System And Hinduism
The caste system and Hinduism have been heavily intertwined since the beginning of Hinduism in
1500 BCE with the Vedic period (Molloy, 80). So much so, that even after hundreds of years the
very same structure persisted into the Upanishadic period of Hinduism. The system was based on
four castes (varna): The priest (brahmin), the warrior (kshatriya, rajanya), the merchant (vaishya),
and the peasant (shudra). The untouchables (dalits) were ostracized from the caste system, as they
are considered too impure to partake in the social hierarchy of the higher castes. Two prominent
figures tried to help the Dalits at different points in history: Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar.

Even further dividing the castes is the concept of varnasramadharma (Jones, 2329). With this
system, the four varnas have ashrama tied to them, specific duties to complete across the four
defined stages of life (Molloy, 89). This model was developed specifically looking at the ancient
ideal life of the highest social caste, the brahmin. This is a prime example of how structured
Hindu society is around the caste system, and how dependant they are on the ancient teachings
of the religion. The stages of life are linear, and begin at the age of 8 with the Student stage.
During this stage of life, the person focuses on building a spiritual basis for their life through
studying religious texts. At age 20 they enter the householder stage. They typically get married
through an arranged marriage from the parents, and fulfill their societal duty of having children.
Once their children have grown up and have kids of their own, the person may enter the retiree
stage. Here is where they return somewhat to the religious focus of their life much like when they
were in the student stage. Finally is the optional stage of renunciate. During this stage the person
becomes akin to a monk, they wear orange robes, participate once again in celibacy, and travel to
gain further spiritual insight to hasten their achievement of moksha (Molloy, 89 90 and Jones, 2329
2330). However, there is one group that is exempt from the ashrama and varna

Roman Roads Research Paper

cities to Rome. Over 50,000 miles were paved roads that allowed quicker and safer travel for the
Roman army, officials, messengers, and trading of goods. The road system was much like modern
day roads including mile markers, inns, restaurants, and protection. With a simple yet advanced
design, Roman roads paved the way for Roman conquest and a superior authority throughout the

Along the Roman roads were state operated lodgings and way stations. Stations were established
(stationes), some of them only to change horses (mutationes), others for overnight stops
(mansiones). Augustus was the one that ordered the entire road network inventory, charging M.
Agrippa with that responsibility (Zaharia, Aurel). Located every ten miles was horse changing
stations, where government travelers could exchange out their tired horse or donkey. These were
particularly important for tax collectors and message delivery, as they were required to travel great
distances at rapid speed. Stopping frequently at these changing stations could allow travelers to go
three times further than maintain the same horse. Positioned approximately every twenty miles
were hotels that offered all the necessities for an overnight stop.
Roman roads were also well protected and patrolled by smaller branches of the Roman army.
Most often the soldiers that were assigned to patrol the roads were lower ranking soldiers known
as stationarii. Stationarii soldiers were usually positioned at a post for an average term of two
years. Along with handling local protection and intervention these soldiers were required to
oversee the nearby roads. Watchtowers and post could be found in high traffic as well as isolated
areas to offer assistance to weak travelers, transmit messages, and look out for runaway

Summary Of The Hidden History Of The Olympic Games
Advancement of Political Agendas
The video on the Hidden History of the Olympic Games provides intriguing revelations that the
Olympic Games are driven by astonishing propaganda associated with international rivalry and
social struggles (Poulton, 2012). The video clarifies that Olympic Games have preserved the
colonial strategies and operations in most host nations and cities by the organizing bodies (Poulton,
2012). This has caused the production of unique ceremonies and symbolisms while supporting the
encroachment of thieving indigenous lands in host colonies. For instance, Germany used the event
to advocate the myth of Aryan racial dominance and physical prowess in the 1936 Berlin games.
The German artists emerged to idealize athletes through sculptures and significant forms with
muscle tones and physically fit features (Mason, 2012). The significance of the Munich massacre
is that retribution is harshly critical in political agendas. This caused a loss of potential athlete
skills where about 11 athletes were demised. A rivalry was triggered from the occasion even though

Summary Of The I Didn t A Christian Friend Essay
Sitting outside on the paint chipped, front porch in the middle of a sweltering night, listening to my
casually Christian friend, Cassie, tell a vaguely interesting story about her mother to another one of
my casually Christian friends, Shelby, was the first time I realized I wasn t a Christian.
And I don t really know if all this is true, she just rushed through the story over the phone a
minute ago, but my mom said that the stoplights had been out for a couple hours and when she
pulled up at the intersection and it was her turn to go, somebody cuts in front of her going the
other direction. She says it would ve been a huge accident, but the light flashed red for a second,
so she hit the brakes and missed the other car by a few feet, Cassie reported, wrapping up her story.
Wow, Shelby paused for a second. Just another one of Gods miracles, she sighed unequivocally
with an optimistic, spiritual air.
I didn t let the verbal vomit register in my brain by merely not sanctioning it to enter in the first
place. I never understood how someone can believe in miracles. How can one have so much
blind faith? This world is not full of miracles, this world is full of the same humdrum twists of
fate that occur to every one of us time and time again in our compendious lives. With the world
population over six billion, every single conceivable scenario has been combatted or accomplished

US Embassy To Jerusalem Research Paper
Why the United States Should Move its Israeli Embassy to Jerusalem In every country of the
world, the United States is required by law to have an embassy in the capital except for one
crucial area, the country of Israel. Since the nation s existence, Israel has had a noticeable drought
of embassies in its capital city of Jerusalem, including its strongest and most important ally in the
United States. This is because both the Israelis and Palestinians claim this land as their own, and
has led to conflict for decades. Countries choose not to put an embassy in Jerusalem because they
do not wish to take a side in the matter. While some may say that establishing its embassy to
Jerusalem would incite violence in the region, the United States should move forward with this
relocation in order to promote... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Perhaps the greatest reason for moving the embassy to Jerusalem is the fact that the United
States could actively oversee peace talks between the Israeli people and the Palestinians in an
area that both sides claim to own. This important benefit of the move is laid out by Robert
Stearns in his article, Moving the Embassy to Jerusalem shows that the U.S. is Committed to
Peace when he explains, It would signal that the U.S. is serious about ending this conflict, which
would be a benefit to Israelis and Palestinians, (Stearns 4). Being able to be a part of the talks to
resolve decades of tension and war is in a large sense, the biggest benefit of moving the embassy to
the capital city. The absence of an embassy in Jerusalem has gotten the peace talks nowhere, and
only a move of this magnitude could rejuvenate those

An Analysis Of Wind Of Misfortune, By Shakespearea
Analysis of the Story
Even though the story starts off on a very abrupt note, yet we see suspense and certain amount of
enigma in the story being built up. The story is brutally honest and staunchly realistic about the
severe conditions prevalent at that point of time. One of the questions that pops up in the mind of
the reader is Does Erendira manage to escape the shackles of her grandmother s atrocities and are
able to reunite with Ulises?
We see her journey through the helpless adolescent, engrossed in her daily chores, hopelessly
succumbing to the fallacies painted by her eccentrically cold blooded grandmother. She is pushed
into the flesh trade, mercilessly, because the house burnt down in an accident. We then see her

However, this too proved to be unsuccessful owing to the widespread rural violence, causing it be
overthrown in the year 1953. History bears testimony to the violent political conflict between the
civilians and the military despite a democratic government, highlighted by the conflict between the
Liberals and the Conservatives. Also the position of the Roman Catholic Church in the affairs of
the State has also been challenged on numerous accounts. The Conservatives drew their support
from large landowners and the Catholic Clergy. Whereas the Liberals drew strength from smaller
landowners, artisans and manufacturers supporting protectionism, merchants supporting free trade.
Following it were numerous governments formed by the respective polarized parties, thereby
increasing their animosity and claiming lives of the rural inhabitants. Coming to the 1940s, rural

The Role of Women in Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man...
James Joyce s A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man presents an account of the formative years
of aspiring author Stephen Dedalus. The very title of the novel suggests that Joyce s focus
throughout will be those aspects of the young man s life that are key to his artistic development
(Drew 276). Each event in Stephen s life from the opening story of the moocow to his
experiences with religion and the university contributes to his growth as an artist. Central to the
experiences of Stephen s life are, of course, the people with whom he interacts, and of primary
importance among these people are women, who, as his story progresses, prove to be a driving force
behind Stephen s art.
As A Portrait of the Artist progresses, the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This physical understanding of the exterior world may be the impetus for Stephen s subsequent
construction of a hierarchical list that defines his place within the universe.
Both Dante and Stephen s own mother associate themselves with punishment when they assert
that he will apologise or the eagles will come and pull out his eyes (Joyce 246). This incident
results in Stephen s composition of a poem based on apologise and eyes, one of his first artistic
endeavors. Dante and Mrs. Dedalus, having planted these words in Stephen s mind, are the first
females to inspire him to create.
Young Stephen s first romantic interest in the opposite sex comes in the form of his playmate,
Eileen, whom he plans to marry when they are older. This assertion, although childishly innocent, is
nonetheless the first suggestion that sexual and romantic relationships with women will be
important to Stephen as he matures. Indeed, the appearance of punishment, romance, and
inspiration at such an early point in the novel creates a sense of the interconnected effect they will
have on Stephen and his art. The association of women with each of these essential elements
establishes yet another link between them, and emphasizes the central role women will play in
Stephen s life.
Throughout his childhood, women continue to contribute to Stephen s development as an artist,
though he seems unaware

The Flappers In The 1920 s
The decade of the 20 in the United States was a time of great change after exit of the First World
War. When the war ended after a fight of 72 years, women had won the most precious right to vote.
The Flappers were young urban women, unmarried of middle class that had a job in the changing

The Sixties, Freedom, And The Cost Of Freedom
Cost of Freedom We believe that Black people will not be free until we are able to determine our

Analysis Of The Darkness By Lord Byron
The Darkness is a poem written by Lord Byron in 1816, around the Romantic period. Byron has
stated that the poem was inspired by the events of Mount Tambora, which was a volcano that
erupted in the Dutch East indies that caused surreal weather phenomenon s, such as inexplicable
darkness and cold temperatures in Geneva, where Byron was at the time, and eventually where he
wrote the poem. This event caused many authors to suspect that this eruption, and the following
weather events, was a sign that linked to the biblical apocalypse.
The poem begins with the narrator s describing the poem as a dream that was not at all a dream ,
which already causes doubt and tension within the reader. The narrator then goes on to talk about ...

animal food supply doesn t last long, and the men start turning on themselves. Humans were now
capable of cannibalism, as survival becomes the only consistent goal: men dies ... their bones were
tombless as their flesh . This is exaggerated even more as once faithful dogs have turned on their

Soon the world, except two men, is dead from the famine. The men are, in some way, enemies as
they still have the natural instinct of survival left in them. However, they pitifully approach the
embers of a nearly extinct fire for more light, where the fire blazes and they get a glimpse of their
starving features. Upon seeing each other s horrendous, deathly faces, they shriek d in
consternation, and died, thus ending the human race.
With mankind extinct, the earth becomes a lifeless lump of death . Seasons and wildlife, lakes and

Contraceptive Healthcare Coverage Analysis
Since the enactment of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), our health care system has undergone a
transformation to be inclusive of every American s health care needs. In particular, ACA has
dramatically increased contraceptive coverage for women. Under the ACA s contraceptive
coverage guarantee, also known as contraceptive coverage mandate, all private health plans in the
United States must cover at least one form of contraception in each of the of the 18 methods as

Democrats will support the additional coverage for men. The major health care industry players
such as insurers, employers, and conservative states, may push against strengthening the mandate
because of the extra cost they may incur as a side effect. On the other hand, progressive states,
physicians, hospitals, condom companies, and advocacy groups will likely advocate for the

A Study With Immense Determination And Motivation For...
I began this mini study with immense determination and motivation in hearing personal experiences
from female superintendents regarding the barriers and challenges they faced along their journeys.
Selfishly, I sought to better understand what I may face later down the road, as I personally aspire
to be a superintendentone day. Additionally, I have always had a strong interest in challenges that
marginalized groups often face. Therefore, it seemed like this topic would be natural fit. During my
very first interview, I was quite nervous. Although I had mulled over my questions repeatedly
and had practiced my questions with my husband, classmates, and in the mirror, I wanted to
sound like a competent researcher who was authentically invested in this process. I did not want
to misrepresent myself or the university. I giggled as I listened to the recording of the first
interview. I kept saying good! and okay... for a conversation filler, occasionally even when the
participant was still talking! During this interview, I quickly realized that my questions were out of
order. While I intended to open with easier, less personal questions, I found that stalled deep
conversations regarding gender barriers in the profession. Therefore, I abandoned my specific
conversation order with the two other participants and let the conversationflow more freely. I
believe I was stifling the responses and myself by being too rigid. While that rigidity potentially

If Disney Ran Your Hospital
Introduction
According to Fred Lee (2004) hospitals use clinical results and process improvement as a gauge
of quality as this data can be readily measured and objective. Conversely, patients judge the
quality of care by individual perception. Therein a gap of what the patient s perception of quality

Gap One will widen if healthcare organizations primarily focus on operational issues instead of
building relationships with consumers (O Connor, Trinh , Shewchuk, 2000). An example of
closing Gap One is seen in the airline industry. A study done by Gourdin and Kloppenborg (1991)
revealed that while the airline industry perceived that providing beverage service on short flights

consumers saw the hurried beverage service as an annoyance rather than a valued service.

found in Luke 9:23 when Jesus said Then he said to them al: Whoever wants to be my disciple

discipleship and completed His mission with disciples. Placing Jesusfirst is the starting focus of a

Jesus said that if you give up in this life material things and family for my sake you will receive a

to be a disciple is persecution. You contact states that you are a nonconformist to what the world

sanctified prior to discipleship, even as we cannot cross an ocean prior to getting into a boat. The
process of sanctification only begins in discipleship.
Win, Grow, and Send There are 3 major concepts regarding being a disciple and making disciples:
(1) Win, (2) Grow, and (3) Send. These are the most important stages of discipleship. The first one
is winning of souls into the body of Christ. Winning represents the fact that there is a loser Satan.
Being in unification with the Holy Spirit, the disciple wins souls by telling the good news through
evangelism. Prayer is the first step in effective evangelism to win the lost souls. John 17:20 says,
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word
(KJV). Through prayer we offer ourselves for the lost, just as the Bible stated in John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends (KJV). The next
stage is growing or developing disciple maker candidates. The disciple maker must build

Different Types Of Media That Can Be Used For Connect...
What are the different types of media that can be used to connect different computers together into a
computer network?
There are four basic types of connection media that are used for connecting separate computers
together on the same computer network. Both categories are copper cabling, fiber optic cabling,
wireless signal, and infrared signals. The first two types of connection media on our lives are
known as bounded network media because they both use wire of some sort in order to connect or
bound one computer to another on a network. Copper cables are the most commonly used of the
four types of network connection media. Copper cabling sends data in binary format from one
computer system on a network to another through the use of electrical signals. Fiber optic
cabling follows copper cabling when it comes to frequency of use. Fiber optic cable has a
completely different configuration for transferring binary data across the network from one
computer system to another computer system. Unlike copper cable fiber optic cable does not use
electrical signals when encoding binary data instead it transmits the data as pulses of light. Fiber
optic cables transmit the binary data as light pulses in a similar fashion to the way copper cables
use electrical pulses to transmit binary data. The next two types of connection media are known as
unbounded network media due to the fact that they do not use any type of physical wiring to
connect the different computer systems on a

in 1911 when amateur archaeologist, Henry Jones, was given permission to quickly excavate the
site. This came about after centuryold human remains were discovered during the construction of
the original school. From his excavations, Jones concluded that the remains of the three bodies
discovered were killed during the Boudiccan Rebellion in 60 61 CE. Due to the circumstances
under which Jones performed his excavations, he was not able to produce a stratigraphic section
of the site. Jones also failed to keep any written record of his excavations and the remaining
artifacts and remains have since been lost. With the expansion of the school in Colchester, it is my
job to perform a thorough excavationof the site before construction begins. Using the law of
superposition, with a start and end date of approximately 200 BCE 1 CE or 100 BCE В± 100,
stratum 800 is the oldest stratum represented. This date was formulated from the average of seven
radiocarbon samples. Due to the lack of cultural material present in the stratum, it can be surmised
that this stratum was uninhabited.
The next oldest stratum using the law of superposition, is stratum 700, dates to 200 BCE 1 CE to
43 CE. I

The Influence of Interest Groups on Public Policy
The Influence of Interest Groups Introduction An interest group is an association of individuals
or organizations who share ideas and/or attitudes and attempt to influence public policy without
trying to be elected. These groups may also be known as advocacy groups, pressure groups, or
lobbying groups. Berman and Murphy (2011) note that American democracy is influenced by a
number of well organized groups designed to persuade government policy toward a particular
outcome. Although many distrust these groups the reality is they are a link between the public
and policy makers. Interest groups are formed for a number of reasons. Economic interest groups
encompass organizations that speak for big business while trade associations may represent entire
industries. Public interest groups, government interest groups, religious interest groups, civil rights
interest groups, ideological interest groups, and single issue interest groups all try to sway their
influence over public policy. Many of these groups make their national headquarters in
Washington D.C. to be near legislators and policy makers (Burstein Linton, 2002). The number of
interest groups in the United States has grown quickly over the last half century. From 1959 to
2001 the Encyclopedia of Associations shows increase from about 6,000 to 22,000 reflecting a
growing diversity in interest groups. While trade groups once dominated the scene this is no longer
the case, very few occupations of industries do not have

In the business world companies are always trying to maximize their earning potential by
strategically investing in short term financing. In terms of finance short term may mean months or
even a couple of years. The type of finance method that is used is contingent on the specific
needs of the corporation. These methods include trade credit, bank credit, financing through
commercial paper, foreign borrowing, and the use of collateral, accounts receivable financing,
inventory financing and hedging to reduce borrowing risk. Trade credit is the practice of
purchasing goods now and paying for them later. Trade credit is widely used and is the least
expensive and most convenient form of short term financing (McHugh, McHugh Nickels, 1999, p.
573). When a company purchases goods on credit an invoice is received outlining the terms of
repayment. An invoice contains terms such as 2/10, net 30. The total bill is due in 30 days, but
the supplier has extended a discount if the amount is paid in full within 10 days. Finance managers
use the information on the invoice to perform an analysis to find out if the discount is worth paying
the invoice in advance or if there is opportunity for more earning potential if invested elsewhere.
Banks issue credits to organizations seeking funds for there ventures. The bank usually prefers a
self liquidating loan in which the use of funds will ensure a built in or automatic repayment scheme

Sociological Imagination And Social Identity
Presumptions, based on names, alter individuals social identities and can be explained through their
relations with the main branches of sociological imagination: biography and history. Through the
analysis of sociological imagination and its two primary components, the impact of influential
forces is distinguishable in the investigation of how and why individuals perceive one another
through the assumption of each other s names. Indeed, historical and social forces affect wavering
attitudes about gender and names. Due to those forces and societal expectations, names spur
assumptions about a stranger s social identity even before confrontation with that person. Through
inquiry of history and biography s significance on individuals, sociological... Show more content on

In furtherance, the sociology of gender analyzes how those forces manipulate the perception of the
differences between masculinity and femininity, whereas the sociology of names examines how
those same forces influence presumptions on people based on their appellations. Essentially,
cultural expectations are attached to which gender a person has. In its intertwined relationship with
names, gender explicates how culture presently links the suffixes a to be with female names and o
to be with male names. In regards to sociological imagination s concept of history, origins of names
may date back to previous generations, which permits present suppositions of race, ethics, and
beliefs. Concerning social forces and the concept of biography, both expectations based on gender
and assumptions based on names are shaped by social interactions with family members, friends,
and strangers. Ultimately, the historical force of cultural expectations and the social force of
presumptions account for the social identities of gender and names attributes that mold people s
perceptions of each other within their

Character Study Of Finding Dory
Just Keep Swimming:
Character Study of Finding Dory The story Finding Dory is about self determination. Dory,
besides her problem of short term memory, is serious to find her lost parents. No one can forget
Dory s motto of Just keep swimming when she was introduced in Finding Nemo, where she keeps
encouraging Marlin (Albert Brooks), Nemo s dad to keep going, no matter what the complications
are! Thus, Dory has been viewed as a strong character of self determination, who once makes up
her mind, tends to achieve her goal. Despite her short term memory loss, Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) is
determined to reunite with her family no matter what the obstacles in Finding Dory (2016).
Dory s personality is one of the most memorable characteristics of any Disney character which
will be remembered for years to come. Her attitude towards life shows that people should give
others time to express themselves and not judge immediately on the basis of their character and
appearance. Dory s friendly attitude is shown when she meets Hank (Ed O Neill) who is a color
changing octopus trying to flee from the Marine Life Institute which is located in Morro Bay,
California and wants to retire to an aquarium life in Cleveland, Ohio. Dory does not get scared
or judge Hank on basis of his looks, but instead greets him in a friendly manner and says Oh,
thank goodness. Hi, I m Dory. Another instance of Dory s friendly personality is when she
makes a deal with Hank that she will give him her identification tag if he takes her to the tank
where her parents are living. When Hank takes Dory to the Open Ocean exhibit, which is where
she remembers that she lived with her parents, he takes her to the top of the tank and the camera
zooms in on Dory exchanging the tag to Hank and tells him in heartfelt tone I think I m gonna
remember you. Her welcoming nature is one of her key attributes in the animated film and it
helps her, make her goal a reality. Her absent minded personality hurts her when she tries to
remember, where her parents would be. Her poor memory is shown when she tries to recall what
exhibit to go into and Hank believes that her forgetfulness is such a good and not bad thing when
he says, You re lucky. No memories. No

Bill Of Rights Created
Have you ever wondered what the bill of rights is or who created it? The bill of rights consists of
the 10 first amendments of the USA constitution, which was written by James Madison. It was
created by the Anti Federalist who didn t want the government to have too much power in their
hands. The reason why the bill of rights was created was because the Anti Federalist didn t want
the government to go over their rights. They responded that it was needed to have a bill Or list of
rights because it was needed to protect such basic liberties as freedom of speech and religion. The
reason why they wanted them to be written down on a legal document was because they knew that
the government would ignore or deny them. Many of the supporters of the

Volunteering Motivations And Their Well Being
An Integrative Research Paper On:
VOLUNTEERING MOTIVATIONS AND THEIR WELL BEING by Joseph A. Sagadraca
Summer 2015 Practicum at the American Red Cross
University of North Florida
Dr. Jody Nicholson
July 31, 2015
ABSTRACT
With considerable amounts of psychological research focused on volunteers, this paper will attempt
to indicate and reiterate the motivations of volunteers in non profit organizations through an
integrative style of thinking. A lot of research is based on the well being of a person in regards to
their motivation, so this research paper will target the potentially important aspects a volunteer
associates themselves with, with respect of their motivations and their well being. No real research
has been done, but through an internship at the American Red Cross, this will assist the integrative
style of writing to produce helpful information for volunteers and their motivations.
INTRODUCTION For many years, millions of people have engaged in some kind of volunteering
act that has contributed to a number of unimaginable hours of work. Of these people though, 49%
have represented the adult population with a quarter of them having devoted their time to 5 or
more hours per week for volunteering (the motivations to volunteer). These figures for volunteering
have been inspiring for psychologists to seek and understand the instrumental factors that lead
people to volunteer. Several arguments have been stirred throughout the years, but importantly,

How I Formed My Leadership Philosophy
Subj:PESONAL LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY
1.How I formed my leadership philosophy: throughout my career I have worked for many
different styles of leaders who all had a different style of leadership. They also had individual ways
to deliver their message; these leaders are what helped me create my personal leadership philosophy
and style.
2.Situational leadership, it s the term I use to describe the style of leadership I have developed
over my career. To me this means that each individual is motivated differently and each situation
may require a different approach to reach the required goal. My first Officer in Charge in the
Coast Guard was BMCS Downey, his leadership style was that of stern but fair, trust must be
earned, and if trust ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

not always like the outcome but it will be fair and we will do what we can within the regulations.
Don t lie to your shipmates, if you are honest with your shipmates they will stand with you in all

the truth then you will set a true course and will not have to defend yourself through ebbs and tides

Introduction And Background Of Mobile Money Essay
CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND TO THE STUDY
1.1 Background to the Problem
Mobile money is the money stored using the Subscriber Identity Module in a mobile phone as an
identifier as opposed to an account number in conventional banking. Notational equivalent is the
value issued by Money Network Operator and is kept in a value account on the SIM within the
mobile phone that is also used to transmit, transfer or payment instructions, while corresponding
cash value is safely in a bank. The balance on the value account can be accessed via the mobile
phone, which is also used to transmit instant transfer or payment instructions.
M Pesa is a mobile phone based money transfer, financing and microfinancing service, launched
in 2007 and 2008 by Vodafone for Safaricom and Vodacom, the largest mobile network operators in
Kenya and Tanzania respectively. M Pesa allows users to deposit, withdraw, transfer money and
pay for goods and services (Lipa na M Pesa) easily with a mobile device.
Mobile money services in Tanzania and Kenya emerged when there were no laws governing
National Payment Systems for mobile payments and there was no adequate regulation of mobile
payments.
Mobile phone companies in Tanzania are regulated by the Tanzania Communication Regulatory
Authority, which was established by the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority Act and
the Electronic Postal Communication( Licencing) Regulations. The main function of these two

Generation and Transmission Planning for Yangon Region with the Consideration of Contingency Condition Yamin Oo#1, WintWint Kyaw#2 #Department of Electrical Power Engineering, Yangon Technological University Yangon, Myanmar 1yaminoo25@gmail.com 2 wintwintkyaw.mm@gmail.com Abstract This paper refers to generation and transmission planning for Yangon region with the consideration of load forecasting. The planning period is considered as long term planning with the period of 10 years. Yangon is now rapid urbanization according to its development plans of people s living standard, newly build townships and industrial zones with about 7.3 million people. It is obvious that, the electricity demand is under pressure to be sufficient energy for Yangon region. Therefore, consideration of power system planning becomes urgent issue. Wien Automatic System Planning Package (WASP IV) is employed for generation planning with the result of five new projects in Yangon. Moreover, Newton Raphson based load flow calculation is applied for making decision of new lines in the expansion of transmission planning. According to the transmission planning result, three lines are needed to upgrade the existing lines and four new lines are recommended are added. Keywords Long term load forecasting, generation planning, transmission planning, WASP IV, Newton Raphson based load flow calculation I. • 3. The Wife Of BathпїЅs Tale And Prologue And The Franklin s Tale In The Wife of Bath s Tale and Prologue and The Franklin s Tale, the central theme is the relationship between man and woman. There are different views of this relationship or marriage in these two tales: either the woman has the power in the marriage granted from her husband, or the husband and wife grant each other power in the marriageso neither dominates. The Wifeof Bath begins her prologue by explaining that she considers herself an authority of marriage due to her experience ; the Wife of Bath says, Experience, though no authority/Were in this world, would be enough for me/To speak of woe that married life affords;/For since I was twelve years of age, my lords,/Thanks be to God eternally alive,/Of husbands at the church door I ve had five (Lines 1 6). She then goes on to say that men can only guess what Jesus meant when He told the Samaritan woman that her fifth husband was not her husband, and she asks exactly how many husbands she could have in a lifetime (20 23). The Wife of Bath goes on to say that God gave men and women instruments to use and the instruments are not just for urinating but for pleasure and procreation (134). The Wife of Bath says, In wifehood I will use my instrument/As freely as my Maker has it sent./If I hold back, God bring me misery!/My spouse shall have it day and night, when he/Desires he may come forth and pay his debt./I ll have a husband I m not quitting yet /And he will be my ... These two nations have many similarities and differences that effect their relationship and how other nations see them across the globe. One major trait they have in common in their governments political view, communism. Communism was seen as one of the biggest threats to the world once it swallowed Chinaand Russia. Communism is a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state (definition.com). The legislative branch and the judicial branches of government are both in control of who is elected into office and how people vote. Today, communism is still with China and Russia. However one little detail of power has changed when the USSR became Russia. China focuses on the preservation of power in the hands of one party and on the other hand Russia is obsessed with the preservation of power in the hands of one man (blogs.reuters.com). Both countries also had conflicts with the United States about communism and their way of thinking about government. They constantly criticize the rest of the worlds ways of government. China and Russia had many similarities with communism and government, but they also had many differences that separated their thinking and beliefs. One of the most major differences was how long the rule of communism lasted in both of these countries. China s communism lasted but Soviet did not (classroom.synonym.com). Over the decades political parties that want to change Russia have started to emerge. This wide list consists of The Communism Party of the Russian Federation, The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, Rodina, and United Russia (indexmundi.com). Communism is shown in some sort of way with each of these parties. On the other hand, in china there is only one party that is allowed to run for office, and that party is the Chinese Communism Party. Martinez PSY 285 Instructor: Chris Shreve PERSUASION, INDOCTRINATION, AND INOCULATION 2 There are many dangers that plague us in today s society. One of the most pressing issues is that of driving under the influence of alcohol. This is a problem for many reasons. Firstly, driving while intoxicated is illegal. It shows the rising problem of substance abuse, and most importantly, driving drunk is deadly. According to Drinkinganddriving.org (2008 2013), 900,000 are arrested each year for DUI/DWI and a full 1/3 of those are repeat offenders . None of us are perfect. We all do things every day that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If you are convicted of DUI, it may be on your criminal record for your entire life. Offenses also go on your driving record, which potential employers and insurers can access, ( How Stuff Works , 1998 2013). If you are driving under the influence of alcohol, the chances of you having a substance abuse problem are very high. Substance abuse, simply put, is losing control of yourself to a substance. If you do not have enough self control, or common sense, not to get into a vehicle when you have any type of foreign substance in your body, then you have a serious problem. Sure, you may not be waking up at eight in the morning and devouring a bottle of gin, but you are not only putting yourself in danger, but also others. With the amount of people in the United states that have problems with alcohol, and the amount of DUI s that are given, the correlation between the numbers is not at all surprising. Alcohol is the number one drug problem in America. There are more than 12 million alcoholics in the U.S. Three fourths of all adults drink alcohol, and 6% of them are alcoholics. Americans spend $197 million each day on alcohol. In the United States, a person is killed in an alcohol related car accident every 30 minutes. A 2000 study found nearly 7 million persons age 12 to 20 were binge drinkers. Three fourths of all high school seniors report being drunk at least once. State spending on corrections is estimated at $52 billion a year with most spent on prisons ( The Potential of Community Corrections to Improve Safety and Reduce Incarceration ). The reason for the U.S. prison population increase is because we are sending people to prisonfor more time and also because of drugs and we have focused on drug dealing and drug possession (Neyfakh). What is a utopia actually? A utopia by definition means a perfect world with no flaws where everyone lives a perfect life. In the book The Giver people discuss whether it s a utopian setting or a dystopian setting. A dystopiais the exact opposite of utopia. A world that is imperfect with flaws. The Hellenistic Homemaker Essay The Hellenistic Homemaker In both Xenophon s Oeconomicus and Lysias defense of Euphiletus murder of Eratosthenes, insight into the purpose and function of Athenian marriage may be gained by examination of the speeches of two citizens about their wives and their homes. Through both texts, it becomes apparent that the citizen s value of his wife is based upon his wife s ability as an oikonomikos or skilled household manager (Strauss, 3). It is through filling this role as her husband s housekeeper that an Athenian woman experienced a loss of personal freedom and found herself trapped within a marriage in which she had little contact or much in common with her husband. She was a clever housewife, economical and exact in her management of everything (Freeman, 44). For Euphiletus, his wife s worth was based totally on her managerial skills. Through Euphiletus and Socrates, the five requirements of a good oikonomikos come to be apparent. The first requirement is that a new wife be young, so that she might be taught by her new husband the ways to suit himself and his oikos perfectly. Socrates muses, ...it seems to me there are certain ages at which both horses and human beings are immediately useful as well as susceptible to improvement (Xenophon, III.10). As a means of maintaining the audience s attention, Barry uses an informative narrative tone through different specific examples along with anecdotal experiences to prevent the topic from becoming entirely conceptual. Barry, a former college football coach, is able to draw parallels between sports and politics displaying how powerful agendas affect lives. Jim Wright and Newt Gingrich were both House Speakers. Jim Wright was the Speaker beginning in 1987, however he was forced to resign in 1989. Barry explores how Gingrich, who Barry recalls was ruthless in the coldest way, exploited and manipulated the media to unfairly and unjustly bring down Wright through a scandal. While it was Gingrich who orchestrated the attacks on Wright, Barry focuses mainly on the media as being a player in the game. Gingrich understood the influential power of the media. While most politicians dislike the media as most of what is written exists as lies or exaggerations, powerful politicians are able to manipulate the media to further their own needs. Inside the game, the politician with the better tactics, for example the one who knows what to say, when to say it, and with what tone should it be said, will have a more positive relationship with the media and a greater chance to abuse the influence the media has. Outside the game, similarly to athletes, money has power and can be crucial in establishing relationships. Therefore the man who has greater money has a greater potential to create positive ties with the media. Again, while this book, due to the time period, relates this power of influence struggle between Wright and Gingrich, a more up to date comparison would be between potential Presidential Candidates Hillary Clinton, who owns the media through inside the game tactics and Donald Trump, who holds influence outside the game by using his own non lobbyist ... Due to the time period in which Hitchcock filmed Vertigo and Psycho, women had limited capability in regards to what they could do in a film. Women could not be action heroes; in fact they were often depicted as damsels in distress. The easiest answer to this sort of prejudice is that it was a reflection of the culture of the 50s and 60s. Although this is partially true, it does not excuse the fact that male directors made misogynistic choices that could have been remedied without being considered radical or societally unacceptable. The inconsistencies in Hitchcock s portrayal of women reveals this much, as shown by a study in the narrative, mise en scД—ne, and cinematography of Vertigo (1958) and Psycho (1960). The main female character in Vertigo is two people, in a sense, but even this duplicity does not help her gain control in the film s narrative. Judy Barton is the woman s real name, but she spends the first half of the movie charading as Madeleine Elster. One of the first scenes in which we see Madeleine is when John is stalking her at the request of Gavin Elster. The cinematography of this sequence reveals a lot about their relationship and how John objectifies Madeleine and Judy. As John follows her from the flower store to the graveyard to the museum, Madeleine is almost always shown from afar, in long shots, and almost never takes up the whole frame. This is all filmed from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. The Caste System And Hinduism The caste system and Hinduism have been heavily intertwined since the beginning of Hinduism in 1500 BCE with the Vedic period (Molloy, 80). So much so, that even after hundreds of years the very same structure persisted into the Upanishadic period of Hinduism. The system was based on four castes (varna): The priest (brahmin), the warrior (kshatriya, rajanya), the merchant (vaishya), and the peasant (shudra). The untouchables (dalits) were ostracized from the caste system, as they are considered too impure to partake in the social hierarchy of the higher castes. Two prominent figures tried to help the Dalits at different points in history: Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar. They both had different solutions to help the Dalits escape the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even further dividing the castes is the concept of varnasramadharma (Jones, 2329). With this system, the four varnas have ashrama tied to them, specific duties to complete across the four defined stages of life (Molloy, 89). This model was developed specifically looking at the ancient ideal life of the highest social caste, the brahmin. This is a prime example of how structured Hindu society is around the caste system, and how dependant they are on the ancient teachings of the religion. The stages of life are linear, and begin at the age of 8 with the Student stage. During this stage of life, the person focuses on building a spiritual basis for their life through studying religious texts. At age 20 they enter the householder stage. They typically get married through an arranged marriage from the parents, and fulfill their societal duty of having children. Once their children have grown up and have kids of their own, the person may enter the retiree stage. Here is where they return somewhat to the religious focus of their life much like when they were in the student stage. Finally is the optional stage of renunciate. During this stage the person becomes akin to a monk, they wear orange robes, participate once again in celibacy, and travel to gain further spiritual insight to hasten their achievement of moksha (Molloy, 89 90 and Jones, 2329 2330). Over 50,000 miles were paved roads that allowed quicker and safer travel for the Roman army, officials, messengers, and trading of goods. The road system was much like modern day roads including mile markers, inns, restaurants, and protection. With a simple yet advanced design, Roman roads paved the way for Roman conquest and a superior authority throughout the Roman Empire. Stopping frequently at these changing stations could allow travelers to go three times further than maintain the same horse. The video clarifies that Olympic Games have preserved the colonial strategies and operations in most host nations and cities by the organizing bodies (Poulton, 2012). This has caused the production of unique ceremonies and symbolisms while supporting the encroachment of thieving indigenous lands in host colonies. For instance, Germany used the event to advocate the myth of Aryan racial dominance and physical prowess in the 1936 Berlin games. The German artists emerged to idealize athletes through sculptures and significant forms with muscle tones and physically fit features (Mason, 2012). The significance of the Munich massacre is that retribution is harshly critical in political agendas. This caused a loss of potential athlete skills where about 11 athletes were demised. And I don t really know if all this is true, she just rushed through the story over the phone a minute ago, but my mom said that the stoplights had been out for a couple hours and when she pulled up at the intersection and it was her turn to go, somebody cuts in front of her going the other direction. James Joyce s A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man presents an account of the formative years of aspiring author Stephen Dedalus. The very title of the novel suggests that Joyce s focus throughout will be those aspects of the young man s life that are key to his artistic development (Drew 276). Each event in Stephen s life from the opening story of the moocow to his experiences with religion and the university contributes to his growth as an artist. Central to the experiences of Stephen s life are, of course, the people with whom he interacts, and of primary importance among these people are women, who, as his story progresses, prove to be a driving force behind Stephen s art. As A Portrait of the Artist progresses, the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This physical understanding of the exterior world may be the impetus for Stephen s subsequent construction of a hierarchical list that defines his place within the universe. Both Dante and Stephen s own mother associate themselves with punishment when they assert that he will apologise or the eagles will come and pull out his eyes (Joyce 246). This incident results in Stephen s composition of a poem based on apologise and eyes, one of his first artistic endeavors. Dante and Mrs. Dedalus, having planted these words in Stephen s mind, are the first females to inspire him to create. Young Stephen s first romantic interest in the opposite sex comes in the form of his playmate, Eileen, whom he plans to marry when they are older. This assertion, although childishly innocent, is nonetheless the first suggestion that sexual and romantic relationships with women will be important to Stephen as he matures. Indeed, the appearance of punishment, romance, and inspiration at such an early point in the novel creates a sense of the interconnected effect they will have on Stephen and his art. The association of women with each of these essential elements establishes yet another link between them, and emphasizes the central role women will play in Stephen s life. The chapter on workplace Typewatching, titled Typewatching From 9 to 5 , is the lengthiest chapter and the interest in workplace Typewatching no doubt influenced Kroeger and Thuesen to devote a second book, Type Talk at Work, solely to Typewatching s influence on workplace dynamics. The authors continue their discourse on Typewatching with a chapter titled Typewatching Everywhere . Here they briefly discuss Typewatching in educational environments as practiced by teachers and learners and move to Typewatching s applications in social settings, one s approach to personal finance, weight gain or loss, humor, sports, religion, and politics. In the off chance the reader had missed the authors message before this point, Typewatching abounds and one need not look very far to see it in use. The meaning of discipleship is found in Luke 9:23 when Jesus said Then he said to them al: Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily, and follow me (NIV). Jesus called men into discipleship and completed His mission with disciples. Placing Jesusfirst is the starting focus of a disciple, for if you do not place Jesus first, you cannot truly be a follower. The term means that one would put themselves and their needs to the side and attend to whatever needs the savior would ask of them, regardless of cost. Jesus said that if you give up in this life material things and family for my sake you will receive a hundred times as great or as much now and gaining eternal life. The consequences for signing up to be a disciple is persecution. You contact states that you are a nonconformist to what the world offers and you are on the way to sanctification. Reimar Schultze stated that We cannot become sanctified prior to discipleship, even as we cannot cross an ocean prior to getting into a boat. The process of sanctification only begins in discipleship. Win, Grow, and Send There are 3 major concepts regarding being a disciple and making disciples: (1) Win, (2) Grow, and (3) Send. These are the most important stages of discipleship. The first one is winning of souls into the body of Christ. Winning represents the fact that there is a loser Satan. Being in unification with the Holy Spirit, the disciple wins souls by telling the good news through evangelism. Prayer is the first step in effective evangelism to win the lost souls. John 17:20 says, Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word (KJV). Through prayer we offer ourselves for the lost, just as the Bible stated in John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends (KJV). • 39. Different Types Of Media That Can Be Used For Connect... What are the different types of media that can be used to connect different computers together into a computer network? There are four basic types of connection media that are used for connecting separate computers together on the same computer network. Both categories are copper cabling, fiber optic cabling, wireless signal, and infrared signals. The first two types of connection media on our lives are known as bounded network media because they both use wire of some sort in order to connect or bound one computer to another on a network. Copper cables are the most commonly used of the four types of network connection media. Copper cabling sends data in binary format from one computer system on a network to another through the use of electrical signals. Fiber optic cabling follows copper cabling when it comes to frequency of use. Fiber optic cable has a completely different configuration for transferring binary data across the network from one computer system to another computer system. Unlike copper cable fiber optic cable does not use electrical signals when encoding binary data instead it transmits the data as pulses of light. Fiber optic cables transmit the binary data as light pulses in a similar fashion to the way copper cables use electrical pulses to transmit binary data. The next two types of connection media are known as unbounded network media due to the fact that they do not use any type of physical wiring to connect the different computer systems on a ... The land on which the school is built holds an abundant amount of archaeological information relevant to the history of Colchester. This data was only briefly reached in 1911 when amateur archaeologist, Henry Jones, was given permission to quickly excavate the site. This came about after centuryold human remains were discovered during the construction of the original school. From his excavations, Jones concluded that the remains of the three bodies discovered were killed during the Boudiccan Rebellion in 60 61 CE. Due to the circumstances under which Jones performed his excavations, he was not able to produce a stratigraphic section of the site. Jones also failed to keep any written record of his excavations and the remaining artifacts and remains have since been lost. With the expansion of the school in Colchester, it is my job to perform a thorough excavationof the site before construction begins. • 41. The Influence of Interest Groups on Public Policy The Influence of Interest Groups Introduction An interest group is an association of individuals or organizations who share ideas and/or attitudes and attempt to influence public policy without trying to be elected. These groups may also be known as advocacy groups, pressure groups, or lobbying groups. Berman and Murphy (2011) note that American democracy is influenced by a number of well organized groups designed to persuade government policy toward a particular outcome. Although many distrust these groups the reality is they are a link between the public and policy makers. Interest groups are formed for a number of reasons. Economic interest groups encompass organizations that speak for big business while trade associations may represent entire industries. Public interest groups, government interest groups, religious interest groups, civil rights interest groups, ideological interest groups, and single issue interest groups all try to sway their influence over public policy. Many of these groups make their national headquarters in Washington D.C. to be near legislators and policy makers (Burstein Linton, 2002). The number of interest groups in the United States has grown quickly over the last half century. From 1959 to 2001 the Encyclopedia of Associations shows increase from about 6,000 to 22,000 reflecting a growing diversity in interest groups. In the business world companies are always trying to maximize their earning potential by strategically investing in short term financing. In terms of finance short term may mean months or even a couple of years. The type of finance method that is used is contingent on the specific needs of the corporation. These methods include trade credit, bank credit, financing through commercial paper, foreign borrowing, and the use of collateral, accounts receivable financing, inventory financing and hedging to reduce borrowing risk. Trade credit is the practice of purchasing goods now and paying for them later. Trade credit is widely used and is the least expensive and most convenient form of short term financing (McHugh, McHugh Nickels, 1999, p. 573). When a company purchases goods on credit an invoice is received outlining the terms of repayment. An invoice contains terms such as 2/10, net 30. The total bill is due in 30 days, but the supplier has extended a discount if the amount is paid in full within 10 days. Finance managers use the information on the invoice to perform an analysis to find out if the discount is worth paying the invoice in advance or if there is opportunity for more earning potential if invested elsewhere. • 45. Character Study Of Finding Dory Just Keep Swimming: Character Study of Finding Dory The story Finding Dory is about self determination. Dory, besides her problem of short term memory, is serious to find her lost parents. No one can forget Dory s motto of Just keep swimming when she was introduced in Finding Nemo, where she keeps encouraging Marlin (Albert Brooks), Nemo s dad to keep going, no matter what the complications are! Thus, Dory has been viewed as a strong character of self determination, who once makes up her mind, tends to achieve her goal. Despite her short term memory loss, Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) is determined to reunite with her family no matter what the obstacles in Finding Dory (2016). Dory s personality is one of the most memorable characteristics of any Disney character which will be remembered for years to come. Her attitude towards life shows that people should give others time to express themselves and not judge immediately on the basis of their character and appearance. Dory s friendly attitude is shown when she meets Hank (Ed O Neill) who is a color changing octopus trying to flee from the Marine Life Institute which is located in Morro Bay, California and wants to retire to an aquarium life in Cleveland, Ohio. Dory does not get scared or judge Hank on basis of his looks, but instead greets him in a friendly manner and says Oh, thank goodness. Hi, I m Dory. Another instance of Dory s friendly personality is when she makes a deal with Hank that she will give him her identification tag if he takes her to the tank where her parents are living. When Hank takes Dory to the Open Ocean exhibit, which is where she remembers that she lived with her parents, he takes her to the top of the tank and the camera zooms in on Dory exchanging the tag to Hank and tells him in heartfelt tone I think I m gonna remember you. Her welcoming nature is one of her key attributes in the animated film and it helps her, make her goal a reality. Her absent minded personality hurts her when she tries to remember, where her parents would be. Her poor memory is shown when she tries to recall what exhibit to go into and Hank believes that her forgetfulness is such a good and not bad thing when he says, You re lucky. No memories. No ... Sagadraca Summer 2015 Practicum at the American Red Cross University of North Florida Dr. Jody Nicholson July 31, 2015 ABSTRACT With considerable amounts of psychological research focused on volunteers, this paper will attempt to indicate and reiterate the motivations of volunteers in non profit organizations through an integrative style of thinking. A lot of research is based on the well being of a person in regards to their motivation, so this research paper will target the potentially important aspects a volunteer associates themselves with, with respect of their motivations and their well being. No real research has been done, but through an internship at the American Red Cross, this will assist the integrative style of writing to produce helpful information for volunteers and their motivations. Of these people though, 49% have represented the adult population with a quarter of them having devoted their time to 5 or more hours per week for volunteering (the motivations to volunteer).
