Analysis Of The One Thousand And One Nights
The Power of Underestimation On my 7th birthday, my least favorite uncle gave me a book
titled Alibaba and the Forty Thieves. I was surprised because he is my least favorite uncle for a
reason, he doesn t just surprise you with a gift for no reason at all. Little did I know, he just
succeeded in getting me to do exactly what I said I wasn t going to do all summer long, READ
ANYTHING! He knows how much I love the Arabian night s stories and he used this knowledge
to get me to change my initial decision of not reading any book during the summer. So failure to
recognize the strength in others makes us blind to our own weaknesses. In the One Thousand and
One Nightstext, some of its characters experience changes due to the fact that they failed to
recognize the strength and abilities or capabilities of other opposing characters. In the frame tale,
The Story of King Shahrayar and Shahrazad, his Vizier s Daughter, King Shahrayar s
misconception of women made him fall prey to Shahrazad s con. While Shahrayar was gone
hunting, his brother, Shahzaman witnessed his wife and concubines cheating on him with black
slaves dressed as women. Shahzaman told Shahrayar about the affairs, after much cohesion, and
even helped him to catch them in the act. This made Shahrayar very angry which made him come
to the decision to kill his wife, concubines, and the slaves that they were having such illicit affairs
with. The fact that King Shahrayar was so powerful and supposed to have better

Theme Of Music In Fantasia 3
Program music is music that is intended to evoke images or convey the impression of events.
From the music, a story was developed to be in Fantasia 3. The characters in the story are
hundreds of trolls along with one tiny fox. It is set in a deep dark, enchanted forest during night
time. The key is Bв™minor which the minor soundcreates a scary and dark mood. This key had
been associated with words such as obscure and gloomy and has also been associated with the
image or mood of night time.. Right as the song starts it begins forte. This grabs the audience s
attention straight away and scares the audience just like the trolls do to the fox. The dynamic
portrays the dominant, scary nature of the trolls right from the first beat. This is also is goes hand
in hand with the timbre. The song begins with a large group of strings and woodwind instruments
playing, depicting all of the trees. They used lower sounding instruments, such as the bassoon and
clarinet, to create a dark and scary sound. This allows for a fuller sound further allowing them to
create scary, gloomy and intimidating atmosphere. The tempo is andante, an easy walkingpace,
which is fairly slow. However, having this tempo allows the portrayal of the trees to be large,
heavy and slow moving. The melody itself has many rests in between the melody patterns. This
helps depict the trolls being so stiff as they change from tree to troll, suggesting that they have been
a tree for too long. This is also supported by the

Social Psychology
Introduction Social orientation is the recognition of human psychology and behavior. The emphasis
on human thought, emotion, and behavior was to represent the thought, emotion, and behavior of
members of a social group. Thomas Hobbes declared that the social groups are nothing more than a
collection of individuals and that of social thought, emotion, and behavior, governed by the pursuit
of pleasure and avoidance of pain (Greenwood, 2009). Cognitive psychologyrepresents the
distinction amongst the human mind and a computer that suggest that humans have the ability to
process information from around the world just as computer. Cognitive psychologyis not old but the

Hall s studies of child development of children, adolescents, and of old age designed a roadway
for some of the famous psychologist to study their own children for research purposes. Jean Piaget
(1896 1980) conducted a research study of his own children to the stages of cognitive development.
The research that Piaget conducted indicated that the children were an organism that has the
tendency to grasps to certain environments. He also suggested that children tend to go through the
same stages of development and there seem to be no individual differences. The stages that Piaget
used to conduct his research were the sensorimotor stage (0 2), the pre operational stage (2 7), the
concrete operational stage (7 11), and the formal operational stage (11 15). In the sensorimotor stage
(0 2), the child is entirely egocentric; everything is a reflection of them. The children cannot
determine the difference amongst themselves and the environment. At this stage the children have
no recollection of the past and the future; each may focus on what is going on at that moment in
time. The children may rely on the senses of sight, touch, and hearing. Cognitive psychologists
believe that babies may rely on determinist behaviors, such as sucking, crawling, and watching
(Greenwood, 2009). In this study the children are unaware that objects do not cease to exist when it

Footloose Analysis
I saw Footloose, directed by John Wilson and written by Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, on
Thursday in the Highlander Theatre at UCM. The story is about a high school boy who moves to
a small town with his Mom after her divorce. He is an outsider, and is surprised to find that it is
against the law to dance. Then, he decides to take a stand and fight the law so that everyone in the
town has the right to express themselves through dance. John opened the show with his director s
note, and gave a spiel about what he believed the audience should take away from the show. His
goal was for us to make a connection with how the youth and the adults found a way to work
through their problems by talking it out. I believe this is an extraordinary message in today s
society as technology is embraced by the youth and shunned by the older generations. However, I
believe that other parts of the show, such as the relationship between the reverendand his wife, had
a much larger impact than the message that he had hoped to send. There were many parts of the
acting that I believe if worked on would have given the show substantially more impact. Granted, it
is incredibly difficult to portray a character, and a scene, in such a way that the audience loses
themselves in the story and is able to empathize with what the characters are feeling. However, the
two major scenes that were meant to drive in the message that John hoped to send were simply
underwhelming. The first scene that didn t hit

Analysis Of Gun With Occasional Music
He s a make addict, arrogant, and isn t going to stop unless he gets what he wants.
A private investigator in a futuristic world where animals can talk, and babies are robots. In Gun,
with Occasional Music by Jonathan Lethem, Conrad Metcalf, an ill mannered private investigator,
attempts to reveal the truth in the murder an old client. It may be a lot to take in, but by the end
of this review, you ll see how unorthodox but strangely fascinating this book really is. In my point
of view, this hard boiled novel is a stereotypical agent gone rogue type of circumstance, I also
believe it contains mostly analogies. And finally, the fist fights, karma points, and various drugs
make the book even more interesting. Despite the fact he is the main character, Metcalf sure has
something about him that rubs people the wrong way. Due to the fact he s going against the
system more often than not, he gets caught in a scuffle between other inquisitors that work at his
office. That s because of Orton Angwine, the number one suspect in the Maynard Stanhunt
murder. Orton hires Metcalf to do some digging and prove he s innocent. At first he wasn t
interested, but once he finds out there s a lot behind the story than he thought, he persists.
Because of his forbidden involvement, Metcalf gets in a variety of fights. And after each punch
in the gut, he keeps on his journey to expose the truth. If this book were a movie, I could imagine
a smoky bar. A man sitting in the corner, with a cigar, fedora and a trench coat, or even a jazz
band playing in the background. This book can definitely give you that kind of vibe. And you
might even get lost in that type of setting. If you read this book and find it interesting, it ll be
really difficult to put it down. Even when Conrad Metcalf starts to open up about his feelings,
especially about Delia. Delia Limetree. She is only referenced once in the whole book, but she
definitely strung up a few questions for me. Delia Limetree is a girl who Metcalf dated, or
married, who left him. He explains they had an operation done that swapped their nerve endings,
as well as genitalia. That part didn t make sense at first, then it dawned on me that it was just one
big analogy. Someday I was going

Alfred Adler s Birth Order Theory
For the final presentation for this course, I have decided to discuss Alfred Adler s birth order
theory. I essentially decided to choose this topic because I found it extremely intriguing on how
someone s birth order could have a profounding effect on their personality. Also I was able to
relate to this topic on a personal level compared to some of the other theories. Meaning, when
learning and talking about birth order, as the first born in my family I was able to compare a lot
of my traits to the ones described. It was interesting to see a psychologist create an actual theory
trying to explain this idea. Which lead me to discuss in my presentation, how Adler developed this
particular theory, its contributions to describing personality, and recent research advances. First, I
will give a little biography of Adler and explain ow he got into the psychologyfield. Along with his
reasons on focusing on family constellation, and he came to developing this distinct theory. As
well as describing what birth order theory which points out the order of which children are born
into the family. It mentions how each child possess certain personality traits simply on the order
in which someone is born. Second, I will also discuss how this concept continues to have an
influence in popular psychology. I will also be mention why this theory is considered to be
conversional to some psychologist, and how it affects the research. Lastly, I will be talking about
how birth order has impacted the

Western View Of Human Nature
This week we have learned about four different views of human nature. The two views that I found
most interesting were the the traditional western view and the Darwinian challenge to the
traditional western view. In the Darwinian challenge, Charles Darwin argued that humans
developed from nonhuman animals. The strengths of Darwin s arguments are that he used fossils
to support his claims. The fossils are real evidence that everyone can look at and examine and they
do show how humans have developed over the years. The weaknesses of his arguments are that he
undermined the idea that living things and their parts are designed for a purpose. The next
argument I found interesting was the the traditional western view. In this view Plato argues that

The Legacy of JP Morgan Essay example
In 1871, the banking house of Drexel, Morgan Co. was established by John Pierpont Morgan.
Twenty four years later it was renamed J.P. Morgan Co., which it was to remain until the firm s
purchase by Chase Manhattan in 2000. (Hughes 23) At this point, Chase Manhattan was the largest
banking company in the United States. This was a far cry from the 1980 s when Morgan boasted
the largest market capitalization of any American bankand was more expensive to buy than Citicorp.
(Hughes 11) While J.P. Morgan could not imagine the path banking would take in the U.S. with his
passing in 1913; his banking house would have a strong hold on American banking for much of the
20th century. The introduction of bank holding companies and certain laws... Show more content on

Thus, from an early age, Pierpont s life was scripted for a promising future in banking and
business. Although Pierpont did follow the path laid before him, this was not the case for the
majority of those born into the same circumstances. Pierpont s generation of wealthy heirs often
chose the easy life by simply living off the amassed fortunes of earlier generations. Others, such as
the robber barons, accumulated wealth not through inheritance, but by working from the bottom to
the top during the Gilded Age (Strouse, 129). Two men fitting a category of rags to riches, and of
whom were also connected to Pierpont through business, were Andrew Carnegie and Thomas Alva
Edison.
In 1869, Junius Morgan became acquainted with Carnegie under the construction and financing
of a steel railroad bridge across the Mississippi River. The bridge finally opened in 1874 as the
St. Louis Bridge, but due to an ongoing mild depression in the economy, sparse rail traffic used
the continental highway. The Morgan s did not waiver in their support for Carnegie, but instead
financed future bridges and rail systems as well. With a solid business relationship in tact, Pierpont
and Carnegie collaborated again in 1901 to form the world s largest corporation, U.S. Steel
(Chambers, 44). Originally called the Carnegie Company, Pierpont

Literary Analysis Of Saki s The Interlopers
Saki, in The Interlopers, says that our animalistic human nature traps us in blindness, but when
we re raised in a kind civilization, we choose to use friendship as a freedom from our inner
violence. Humans as a whole, have an animalistic nature to them. Saki starts the story with one of
the main character going on a hunt. Saki states, [A] man stood one winter night watching and
listening, as though he waited for some beast of the woods to come within the range of his
vision, and, later, of his rifle (Saki 6). Ulrich is stalking the woods for as Saki stated beast of the
woods but rather he patrolled the dark forest in quest of a humanenemy. Saki goes on talking about
the feud that started with their grandfathers over a land... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In other words, Saki says that we, as humans, have an animalistic nature. This animalistic nature
traps us in blindness. Saki has a theme of blood throughout the story. Saki states, [A] s boys they
had thirsted for one another s blood, (7). The dictionary has a word for this definition bloodlust.
As stated before, this is slightly ironic, being that the bloodlust was in boys; boys who are
supposed to be innocent and honorable. He continues with, Georg, who was nearly blinded with
the blood which trickled across his eyes (8). According to the Merriam Webster dictionary,
bloodlust is the desire to kill or maim others ; In order to kill things, you need to see them. Saki
goes on to stating, No, I can scarcely see anything; there is so much blood caked round my eyes,
said Georg, and in any case I don t drink wine with an enemy (9). This blindness is caused by the
bloodlust between the two souls, or in other words, they are being blinded by their animalistic
nature. Georg s animalistic human nature has blinded him in hatred, which has caused him to not
be able to see the similarities between him and Ulrich. This blindness leaves when we re raised in
a kind civilization. Saki starts the story with the two souls coming face to face with each other,
which is what they ve been wanting for a long time. Saki states, The two enemies stood

Atreus And Justice
The laws of the Erinyes states that the nature of blood crimes mandates that blood must be paid
with blood shed. This philosophy is known in Biblical times as an Eye for an eye, a tooth for a
tooth. With this type of justice, the lines of right and wrong are blurred. Individuals taking
justice into their own hands constitutes for a never ending cycle of violence, driven by betrayal
and vengeance. The story of the house of Atreus is about finding civil order and justice. The
trilogy takes you from blood justice of Furies Law to Apollonian concept of justice, also known
as Athenian justice. Basically, the concept of out with the old in with the new . The story leads
to the tell of new deities and higher methodology of civil justice. Is the ancient way of vengeful
justice still sufficient or, in order for growth, is civilization better off with a judicial form of
justice? The story also brings to light the relationship of family. Which is stronger and more
essential in ancient society; the bond of mother and child? Father and Son? Or the bonds of
kinship? Ultimately the antiquated law of land must be replaced in order for society to evolve to a
higher level of liberty and justice for the greater good.
The vengeance era of justice followed the beliefs in ancient Gods support and ideas. Therefore,
Clytaemestra seeking revenge for her daughter being sacrificed, was justified because husband and
wife are not blood related. According to the gods a person is ... Show more content on

Secondhand Smoking Research Paper
There is an irrefutable correlation between the increasing effects of secondhand smoke on the health
and well being of human beings that are constantly in the vicinity of smokers. Evidently,
secondhand smoking has undeniably become problematic for a plethora of intense, health altering
reasons that include but are not limited to diseases and early death that are caused to nonsmokers
by secondhand exposure from the burning of tobacco. Even the smallest, briefest amount of
secondhand exposure causes immediate health implications. Laws that prohibit smokingin public
places have been proven to directly improve the health of people in those areas. Secondhand
smoking causes an increased risk for heart disease, stroke, SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome),
asthma, and lung cancer. Annually, over 45,000 nonsmokers die from implications brought about
by secondhand smoking. 34,000 of these deaths are deaths from heart disease, 8,000 from stroke,
and 7,300 from lung cancer. People of lower socioeconomic status are much more likely to smoke

Falling Is A Crucial Issue Among The Hospitals Essay
Falling is a crucial issue among the hospitals. Even the hospitals make all the efforts to prevent
falls, falls still occur frequently and some repeatedly. According to Currie (2008), approximately
700000 to 1000000 individuals fall in the United States hospitals each year. A fall in a health care
organization is considered a never event by Medicare and Medicaid services(CMS) (Cox et al.,
2015). As the result, health care facilities are not reimbursed for hospitalized falls which increase
the economic burden of hospitals.
Background of study
Falls can be categorized into unanticipated physiologic, anticipated physiologic, accidental or
intentional (as cited in Cox et al., 2015). Furthermore, the causes of inpatient falls include patients
intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors as well as organizational or workforce factors (Cox et al., 2015).
The methods of fall prevention are tailored to patients unique intrinsic or extrinsic risks;
however, fall prevention tactics are not created for an individual, they are used in various
patient populations (Cox et al., 2015). Moreover, the scale from the fall risk assessment tools, for
example: Morse Falls Risk Assessment Scale and the Hendrich I Falls Risk Assessment Scale, do
not specify the type of fall for individual, making it hard to design or direct fall prevention
approaches by individual s physiological or environmental risks (Cox et al., 2015). According to
Cox et al. (2015), there is a clear need to gain a broader

Human Rights In Canada
Human rights are the rights one has simply by virtue of being human. They are the highest moral
rights, they regulate the fundamental structures and practices of political life, and in ordinary
circumstances they take priority over other moral, legal, and political claims (Universal Human
Rights in Theory Practice, 2003). A right must be recognized by other people to exist, and must be
secured through human action. It is an entitlement premised on a widely held set of beliefs about
the nature of the entitlement; even if it is not recognized in law, a right emerges from a moral or
ideological belief (Berger, 1981). One of the most sophisticated human rightslegal law in the world
has been established by Canadians. Canadians largely defined rights as civil liberties during the
1940s and 1950s, which meant fundamental freedoms such as speech, association, assembly,
religion, press, due process and voting were recognized. Rhetoric surrounding discrimination was
largely confined to racial, religious and ethnic discrimination at this time. Today however, the
language of rights has now been broadened and appropriated to include an extraordinary range of
issues. Discrimination is now banned in Canadian human rights law on the basis of race, religion,
color, creed, sex (sexual harassment, pregnancy), age, place of origin, nationality, physical and
mental disability, marital status, pardoned conviction, sexual orientation, family status and others.

Critical Analysis Of I Am Trying To Break Your Heart
Kevin Young s I am Trying to Break Your Heart examines the dark and chaotic nature of trying to
heal from emotional damage. Addressing a lover, the speaker uses twisted and macabre diction to
describe the dark feelings that brew within him. These sinister desires to harm the lover shine
through in the terse language and erratic structure, as well as. The 2008 poem alludes to a Wilco
song of the same name, wherein the speaker describes his heartache after leaving his lover and
facing regret concerning the situation. This is alluded to in stanzas 12 and 13 when Young writes
... I assassin / down the avenue, (22 23) the second line of the song. Without taking note of this
allusion, the poem would seem as if Young is portraying himself as a manipulator seeking to gain
power over his lover. But through referencing the 2002 song I am Trying to Break Your Heart by
Jeff Tweedy, Young clarifies his intent. The poem is meant to illustrate the chaotic and destructive
nature of healing from emotional damage, showing how a love lost can leave an individual

The Construction Of Red Black Trees
1 Introduction
In recent years, much research has been devoted to the construction of red black trees; nevertheless,
few have refined the confusing unification of Internet QoS and active networks [3,13,23,18,8]. The
impact on random robotics of this has been adamantly opposed. An essential problem in hardware
and architecture is the synthesis of checksums. To what extent can hash tables be developed to
address this question?
Statisticians never enable the Turing machine in the place of robots. Such a hypothesis is mostly a
confirmed aim but fell in line with our expectations. Indeed, Web services [22] and public private
key pairs have a long history of interacting in this manner. Indeed, operating systems [30] and RAID
have a long history of interacting in this manner [35,22,19,33]. The basic tenet of this method is the
visualization of hierarchical databases.
Another essential riddle in this area is the emulation of cache coherence. It should be noted that
LactylMuset locates local area networks. However, large scale configurations might not be the
panacea that systems engineers expected. Even though similar approaches improve the memory
bus, we achieve this goal without harnessing the compelling unification of operating systems and
context free grammar.
LactylMuset, our new heuristic for perfect archetypes, is the solution to all of these grand
challenges. The disadvantage of this type of method, however, is that the foremost large scale

How To Change The Dress Code
If my school were to change the dress code, there are multiple things I would change. I would
like for them to change the rule about leggings. Not everyone has the same body type, boys need
to learn to control themselves, and students have to buy more clothes to wear that fit the dress
code. Some people can get away with wearing leggings which are usually people with a non
curvy body. Some people can t help if they are curvy. Leggings are very comfortable, so if
someone with that body type wanted to wear them, they can t because it s noticeable so they
would get in trouble right away. Also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with leggings. So if they
re going to have the rule they should make sure they enforce it equally or not have it all.

A Personal Perspective
The Importance of Education, A Personal Perspective
It has been twenty three years since the English professor knocked on my door to personally
invite me back to class. I was attending a small college, where students and staff were friendly,
supportive, and willing to help. I had always done well academically, but things had changed and
now I was a 19 year old single mother struggling to attend my classes. Perplexed by my numerous
absences, the professor had come over to encourage me and to convey that she thought I had
tremendous potential. I closed the door after our brief conversation and allowed disappointment to
sink in. I wanted to go to school, but the logistical challenges of being a single mother with an
infant child, no car, and minimal access to childcare made the task insurmountable. As a child, I
had always dreamed of studying medicine and now I questioned how I had arrived at this point.
After the encounter with the professor, I felt disappointed with myself for giving up so easily,...

Please imagine the following scenario: someone is starving, and as they become increasingly
hungry and perhaps even ravenous, they begin to envision food and conceptualize the feeling
satisfaction. The hunger they experience creates focus as they begin planning what they will to
eat and what it will taste like. The imagery only intensifies hunger at first, but once food is
available, the meal tastes magical and is deeply appreciated! This is a close description of what
my hiatus from school has done for me. Instead of making me feel like a miserable failure, it has
made me hungrier than ever. I take the time to imagine what my path will look like, and in
anticipation, which roads I will take to achieve my goals. When I finish, I will value it so much

Flawed Economic System
How is it possible for people to be able to hit the lotto for millions and yet there is people starving
in their homes ? How can there be so much misery in midst of such abundance ? Inequality is the
source of enormous frustration among groups who no longer believe that they can achieve a
reasonable facsmile of consumption as those of the upper classes. The social problems that result
from such feelings represent some of the most fundamental contradictions that persist under
advanced capitalism. That is why it should be of no surprise, then, that understanding the principle
cause of these issues is an important topic for discussion. Today, government programs come and

Peet says Mechanization raises the surplus exploitable by the owners of the means of production
by increasing the productivity of labor, and thus increases the capital available for reinvestment
in more machinery, facilities, and raw materials (566). This means that as economic
development takes place, the relative demand for labor falls because mechanization provides
and faster and more efficient means of production. Production costs become more and more the
costs of depreciating machinery and less and less the costs of hiring labor as machines are
increasingly used to increase capital. As mechanization proceeds, unemployment increases and a
labor reserve army is created. Under capitalism, economic development does not proceed
smoothly. There are sudden bursts of expansion and even old declining industries bloom during
economic booms. Peet says In such a situation the economy needs a quick transfusion of labor; a
labor reserve is necessary, to be pulled into the labor force when needed, and discharged just as
rapidly when demand slackens or mechanization proceeds (567). In other words, the labor reserve
prevents surplus value from being diverted from capital accumulation to labor; thus, serving its role
under capitalism. The Marxist argument, therefore, is that inequality is not a temporary aberation
nor poverty a surprising paradox in advanced capitalist societies: instead inequality and poverty are
vital to the normal operation of

How Did Jane Addams Respond To The Prevalence Of...
At the turn of the 20th century, increasing vigilance of women led to the focus of placing
responsibility on both men and women for the corruption of sex workers. Both genders had a
responsibility for the prevalence of prostitution as well as to finding a solution to a prevalent
problem in metropolitan areas such as Chicago. However, rather than providing financial or social
resources to help victims of prostitutionform relationships and earn a respectable place in society,
many progressive and feminists reformers as part of the Feminist Movement argued for the creation
of vice commissions in order to gather evidence and research on the connections between
prostitution and structured crime. This led to the persecution of prostitutes and the long term
establishment of the criminal industry due to the infrastructure and legal foundations for the
processing and cracking down on the Social Evil . However, there were individuals such as Jane
Addamswho worked tirelessly to improve the conditions of sex workers and those who recently
left the profession, but she knew that there was a great divide between the public and the women
who had been abused and used for one of the worst sins society has prevalent within it. She
accepted the task and took it in strides for she knew that it would take empathetic cooperation on
the sides of those in political/legal positions in collaboration with citizens and those attempting to
better their lives as well as the city of Chicago. She did

Evaluate The Closet Analysis
Evacuate the Closet Our lives are a kaleidoscope of vivid memories and experiences. There are
good memories we relive over and over in our heads; there are brutal ones we wish we could
forget. Over time, these experiences become a part of who we are, whether we like it or not.
Therein lies a forked road. Do we make the most of the situation and move on, or do we dwell on
the past and choose a path of embitterment? For all my life, I have considered myself as a sort of
oddity. I didn t speak English for most of primary school. My customs were different from my
American classmates. Being different became the norm for me; I wasn t really bothered by it. I
learned to overcome all the little sarcastic comments made by the other children in school. For the
most part, everything was okay. Everything was okay until I started my junior year of high school.

Through rational appeals and product performance benefits, we will show that Nike isn t just
about physical attributes, but also satisfies customer s needs and wants. Nike s unique value
proposition has always been the innovative design, durability, and quality of their products. For
example, a rational appeal in an advertisement can focus on Nike s comfort and durability, which
fulfills safety needs (Percy, 2008). We can also note that Nike satisfies esteem needs by being
extremely dependable in quality, use, and that they offer a large selection of products. Equally as
important are the emotional appeals that Nike uses to convey their message. Emotional approaches,
such as appeals to esteem, self actualization, and social approval, are the underlying factors that
influence purchasing decisions. Gaining ambition, social achievement, and pride in one s personal
appearance, are emotional benefits that will differentiate the Nike brand from the competition
(Percey, 2008). Nike s slogan, Just Do It, reinforces these emotional appeals. Since the slogan is
subjective to the consumer, they have the power to associate their own emotions and interpretations

The carbon dioxide is lost to the environment and what is left is a wine like drink with fairly low
alcohol content, between 6 20%. The strength of the mash is determined by the yeast used and
the sugar content (higher sugar higher alcohol content). From there the shiners (makers of
moonshine) will use a process of distillation to separate the alcohol from the mash to make the
product more potent. In distillation the fermented mash is heated to evaporated the Ethyl
alcohol which evaporats at 173 degrees farenheight. The vapor is then in a cold tube and comes
out more potent. The reason it becomes more potent is because the alcohol that is produced in
the mash is being condensed into a smaller size with the same amount of alcohol. The stuff that
comes out can be anywhere from 50 99% depending on how well it is made. Distilation may be
the only way to produce a strong finished product there are serious dangers that the process brings.
First, there is a dangerous chemical in the mash that is produced, and boils at a lower temperature
than ethyl alcohol, methanol. Although methanol is an alcohol, it is not the good kind and is the
reason people would go blind from drinking it. Methanol boils at 143 degrees farenheight and is
usually the first to start flowing, so the first few gallons are discarded. Another important danger is
because during distillation there is an open flame and

reality of passive and active bureaucratic representation that benefits citizens of similar
demographic origins (Meier 1993b). Generally, the authors contend, actions of citizens and
bureaucrats both in pressures rendered and in the resulting actions that ensue, are largely influenced
by geographic region, yet very little focus has been placed on this relationship. They go on to focus

How Did Ashoka Spread
As a leader of his people, Ashoka used the teachings of the Buddha to create a basis of social

The Benefits Of Technology In The Work Environment
Technology is a tremendous benefit nowadays within the work environment. Each technological
advancement has been created in order to facilitate the work environment and has led us to become
more efficient with the things we do. Because of it, the office environment is no longer the same
as yesterday; it has made the general convenience of our personal lives more accessible in the sense
that we no longer have to invest so much time in the work that we do. Time management and
investment has been optimized, therefore, the efforts put into every day tasks have been reduced.
For example, within the design studio, technological tools such as a smart board improves the way
people meet and share ideas. Essentially, this tool allows users to save and print notes, collaborate
documents, share information and runs video conferencing across distances. Rather than having to
print an important design for a presentation, students and faculty can visually obtain the attention of
any audiences and simply e mail notes to participants and share the work digitally. Some of the
ways in which technologyhas modified and improved the modern workplace are in an increase in
productivity, communication, and cost efficiency. First and foremost, technology allows us to be
more efficient in the things we do and reduce the amount of labor and time we invest to do
something. Take for example, a car or any type of vehicle. These modes of transportation are now

  • 4. Theme Of Music In Fantasia 3 Program music is music that is intended to evoke images or convey the impression of events. From the music, a story was developed to be in Fantasia 3. The characters in the story are hundreds of trolls along with one tiny fox. It is set in a deep dark, enchanted forest during night time. The key is Bв™minor which the minor soundcreates a scary and dark mood. This key had been associated with words such as obscure and gloomy and has also been associated with the image or mood of night time.. Right as the song starts it begins forte. This grabs the audience s attention straight away and scares the audience just like the trolls do to the fox. The dynamic portrays the dominant, scary nature of the trolls right from the first beat. This is also is goes hand in hand with the timbre. The song begins with a large group of strings and woodwind instruments playing, depicting all of the trees. They used lower sounding instruments, such as the bassoon and clarinet, to create a dark and scary sound. This allows for a fuller sound further allowing them to create scary, gloomy and intimidating atmosphere. The tempo is andante, an easy walkingpace, which is fairly slow. However, having this tempo allows the portrayal of the trees to be large, heavy and slow moving. The melody itself has many rests in between the melody patterns. This helps depict the trolls being so stiff as they change from tree to troll, suggesting that they have been a tree for too long. This is also supported by the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The emphasis on human thought, emotion, and behavior was to represent the thought, emotion, and behavior of members of a social group. Jean Piaget (1896 1980) conducted a research study of his own children to the stages of cognitive development. The research that Piaget conducted indicated that the children were an organism that has the tendency to grasps to certain environments. He also suggested that children tend to go through the same stages of development and there seem to be no individual differences. The stages that Piaget used to conduct his research were the sensorimotor stage (0 2), the pre operational stage (2 7), the concrete operational stage (7 11), and the formal operational stage (11 15). In the sensorimotor stage (0 2), the child is entirely egocentric; everything is a reflection of them. The children cannot determine the difference amongst themselves and the environment. At this stage the children have no recollection of the past and the future; each may focus on what is going on at that moment in time. The children may rely on the senses of sight, touch, and hearing. Cognitive psychologists believe that babies may rely on determinist behaviors, such as sucking, crawling, and watching (Greenwood, 2009). • 7. Footloose Analysis I saw Footloose, directed by John Wilson and written by Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, on Thursday in the Highlander Theatre at UCM. The story is about a high school boy who moves to a small town with his Mom after her divorce. He is an outsider, and is surprised to find that it is against the law to dance. Then, he decides to take a stand and fight the law so that everyone in the town has the right to express themselves through dance. John opened the show with his director s note, and gave a spiel about what he believed the audience should take away from the show. His goal was for us to make a connection with how the youth and the adults found a way to work through their problems by talking it out. I believe this is an extraordinary message in today s society as technology is embraced by the youth and shunned by the older generations. However, I believe that other parts of the show, such as the relationship between the reverendand his wife, had a much larger impact than the message that he had hoped to send. There were many parts of the acting that I believe if worked on would have given the show substantially more impact. Granted, it is incredibly difficult to portray a character, and a scene, in such a way that the audience loses themselves in the story and is able to empathize with what the characters are feeling. However, the two major scenes that were meant to drive in the message that John hoped to send were simply underwhelming. The first scene that didn t hit ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Analysis Of Gun With Occasional Music He s a make addict, arrogant, and isn t going to stop unless he gets what he wants. A private investigator in a futuristic world where animals can talk, and babies are robots. In Gun, with Occasional Music by Jonathan Lethem, Conrad Metcalf, an ill mannered private investigator, attempts to reveal the truth in the murder an old client. It may be a lot to take in, but by the end of this review, you ll see how unorthodox but strangely fascinating this book really is. In my point of view, this hard boiled novel is a stereotypical agent gone rogue type of circumstance, I also believe it contains mostly analogies. And finally, the fist fights, karma points, and various drugs make the book even more interesting. Despite the fact he is the main character, Metcalf sure has something about him that rubs people the wrong way. Due to the fact he s going against the system more often than not, he gets caught in a scuffle between other inquisitors that work at his office. That s because of Orton Angwine, the number one suspect in the Maynard Stanhunt murder. Orton hires Metcalf to do some digging and prove he s innocent. At first he wasn t interested, but once he finds out there s a lot behind the story than he thought, he persists. Because of his forbidden involvement, Metcalf gets in a variety of fights. And after each punch in the gut, he keeps on his journey to expose the truth. If this book were a movie, I could imagine a smoky bar. A man sitting in the corner, with a cigar, fedora and a trench coat, or even a jazz band playing in the background. This book can definitely give you that kind of vibe. And you might even get lost in that type of setting. If you read this book and find it interesting, it ll be really difficult to put it down. Even when Conrad Metcalf starts to open up about his feelings, especially about Delia. Delia Limetree. She is only referenced once in the whole book, but she definitely strung up a few questions for me. Delia Limetree is a girl who Metcalf dated, or married, who left him. He explains they had an operation done that swapped their nerve endings, as well as genitalia. That part didn t make sense at first, then it dawned on me that it was just one big analogy. I essentially decided to choose this topic because I found it extremely intriguing on how someone s birth order could have a profounding effect on their personality. Also I was able to relate to this topic on a personal level compared to some of the other theories. Meaning, when learning and talking about birth order, as the first born in my family I was able to compare a lot of my traits to the ones described. It was interesting to see a psychologist create an actual theory trying to explain this idea. Which lead me to discuss in my presentation, how Adler developed this particular theory, its contributions to describing personality, and recent research advances. First, I will give a little biography of Adler and explain ow he got into the psychologyfield. The two views that I found most interesting were the the traditional western view and the Darwinian challenge to the traditional western view. In the Darwinian challenge, Charles Darwin argued that humans developed from nonhuman animals. The strengths of Darwin s arguments are that he used fossils to support his claims. The fossils are real evidence that everyone can look at and examine and they do show how humans have developed over the years. The weaknesses of his arguments are that he undermined the idea that living things and their parts are designed for a purpose. The next argument I found interesting was the the traditional western view. In this view Plato argues that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although Pierpont did follow the path laid before him, this was not the case for the majority of those born into the same circumstances. Pierpont s generation of wealthy heirs often chose the easy life by simply living off the amassed fortunes of earlier generations. Others, such as the robber barons, accumulated wealth not through inheritance, but by working from the bottom to the top during the Gilded Age (Strouse, 129). Two men fitting a category of rags to riches, and of whom were also connected to Pierpont through business, were Andrew Carnegie and Thomas Alva Edison. In 1869, Junius Morgan became acquainted with Carnegie under the construction and financing of a steel railroad bridge across the Mississippi River. The bridge finally opened in 1874 as the St. Louis Bridge, but due to an ongoing mild depression in the economy, sparse rail traffic used the continental highway. The Morgan s did not waiver in their support for Carnegie, but instead financed future bridges and rail systems as well. Individuals taking justice into their own hands constitutes for a never ending cycle of violence, driven by betrayal and vengeance. Even the hospitals make all the efforts to prevent falls, falls still occur frequently and some repeatedly. According to Currie (2008), approximately 700000 to 1000000 individuals fall in the United States hospitals each year. A fall in a health care organization is considered a never event by Medicare and Medicaid services(CMS) (Cox et al., 2015). As the result, health care facilities are not reimbursed for hospitalized falls which increase the economic burden of hospitals. Background of study Falls can be categorized into unanticipated physiologic, anticipated physiologic, accidental or intentional (as cited in Cox et al., 2015). Furthermore, the causes of inpatient falls include patients intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors as well as organizational or workforce factors (Cox et al., 2015). The methods of fall prevention are tailored to patients unique intrinsic or extrinsic risks; however, fall prevention tactics are not created for an individual, they are used in various patient populations (Cox et al., 2015). Moreover, the scale from the fall risk assessment tools, for example: Morse Falls Risk Assessment Scale and the Hendrich I Falls Risk Assessment Scale, do not specify the type of fall for individual, making it hard to design or direct fall prevention approaches by individual s physiological or environmental risks (Cox et al., 2015). They are the highest moral rights, they regulate the fundamental structures and practices of political life, and in ordinary circumstances they take priority over other moral, legal, and political claims (Universal Human Rights in Theory Practice, 2003). A right must be recognized by other people to exist, and must be secured through human action. It is an entitlement premised on a widely held set of beliefs about the nature of the entitlement; even if it is not recognized in law, a right emerges from a moral or ideological belief (Berger, 1981). One of the most sophisticated human rightslegal law in the world has been established by Canadians. Canadians largely defined rights as civil liberties during the 1940s and 1950s, which meant fundamental freedoms such as speech, association, assembly, religion, press, due process and voting were recognized. Rhetoric surrounding discrimination was largely confined to racial, religious and ethnic discrimination at this time. Today however, the language of rights has now been broadened and appropriated to include an extraordinary range of issues. Addressing a lover, the speaker uses twisted and macabre diction to describe the dark feelings that brew within him. These sinister desires to harm the lover shine through in the terse language and erratic structure, as well as. The 2008 poem alludes to a Wilco song of the same name, wherein the speaker describes his heartache after leaving his lover and facing regret concerning the situation. This is alluded to in stanzas 12 and 13 when Young writes ... I assassin / down the avenue, (22 23) the second line of the song. Without taking note of this allusion, the poem would seem as if Young is portraying himself as a manipulator seeking to gain power over his lover. But through referencing the 2002 song I am Trying to Break Your Heart by Jeff Tweedy, Young clarifies his intent. The poem is meant to illustrate the chaotic and destructive nature of healing from emotional damage, showing how a love lost can leave an individual scarred and vengeful. Young begins the poem by indirectly addressing his lover, saying I am hoping / to hang your head. This creates a dark tone from the offset, implying that the speaker wants to harm the intended recipient of the poem. He then goes on in the second stanzato say he would hang the lover s head on his wall in shame. This evokes an image of taxidermy, which is meant to objectify and dehumanize the ... The Construction Of Red Black Trees 1 Introduction In recent years, much research has been devoted to the construction of red black trees; nevertheless, few have refined the confusing unification of Internet QoS and active networks [3,13,23,18,8]. The impact on random robotics of this has been adamantly opposed. An essential problem in hardware and architecture is the synthesis of checksums. To what extent can hash tables be developed to address this question? Statisticians never enable the Turing machine in the place of robots. Such a hypothesis is mostly a confirmed aim but fell in line with our expectations. Indeed, Web services [22] and public private key pairs have a long history of interacting in this manner. Indeed, operating systems [30] and RAID have a long history of interacting in this manner [35,22,19,33]. The basic tenet of this method is the visualization of hierarchical databases. Another essential riddle in this area is the emulation of cache coherence. It should be noted that LactylMuset locates local area networks. However, large scale configurations might not be the panacea that systems engineers expected. Even though similar approaches improve the memory bus, we achieve this goal without harnessing the compelling unification of operating systems and context free grammar. Peet says Mechanization raises the surplus exploitable by the owners of the means of production by increasing the productivity of labor, and thus increases the capital available for reinvestment in more machinery, facilities, and raw materials (566). This means that as economic development takes place, the relative demand for labor falls because mechanization provides and faster and more efficient means of production. Production costs become more and more the costs of depreciating machinery and less and less the costs of hiring labor as machines are increasingly used to increase capital. As mechanization proceeds, unemployment increases and a labor reserve army is created. Under capitalism, economic development does not proceed smoothly. There are sudden bursts of expansion and even old declining industries bloom during economic booms. Peet says In such a situation the economy needs a quick transfusion of labor; a labor reserve is necessary, to be pulled into the labor force when needed, and discharged just as rapidly when demand slackens or mechanization proceeds (567). In other words, the labor reserve prevents surplus value from being diverted from capital accumulation to labor; thus, serving its role under capitalism. • 28. How Did Jane Addams Respond To The Prevalence Of... At the turn of the 20th century, increasing vigilance of women led to the focus of placing responsibility on both men and women for the corruption of sex workers. Both genders had a responsibility for the prevalence of prostitution as well as to finding a solution to a prevalent problem in metropolitan areas such as Chicago. However, rather than providing financial or social resources to help victims of prostitutionform relationships and earn a respectable place in society, many progressive and feminists reformers as part of the Feminist Movement argued for the creation of vice commissions in order to gather evidence and research on the connections between prostitution and structured crime. This led to the persecution of prostitutes and the long term establishment of the criminal industry due to the infrastructure and legal foundations for the processing and cracking down on the Social Evil . However, there were individuals such as Jane Addamswho worked tirelessly to improve the conditions of sex workers and those who recently left the profession, but she knew that there was a great divide between the public and the women who had been abused and used for one of the worst sins society has prevalent within it. She accepted the task and took it in strides for she knew that it would take empathetic cooperation on the sides of those in political/legal positions in collaboration with citizens and those attempting to better their lives as well as the city of Chicago. There are good memories we relive over and over in our heads; there are brutal ones we wish we could forget. Over time, these experiences become a part of who we are, whether we like it or not. Therein lies a forked road. Do we make the most of the situation and move on, or do we dwell on the past and choose a path of embitterment? For all my life, I have considered myself as a sort of oddity. I didn t speak English for most of primary school. My customs were different from my American classmates. Being different became the norm for me; I wasn t really bothered by it. I learned to overcome all the little sarcastic comments made by the other children in school. Through rational appeals and product performance benefits, we will show that Nike isn t just about physical attributes, but also satisfies customer s needs and wants. Nike s unique value proposition has always been the innovative design, durability, and quality of their products. For example, a rational appeal in an advertisement can focus on Nike s comfort and durability, which fulfills safety needs (Percy, 2008). We can also note that Nike satisfies esteem needs by being extremely dependable in quality, use, and that they offer a large selection of products. Equally as important are the emotional appeals that Nike uses to convey their message. Emotional approaches, such as appeals to esteem, self actualization, and social approval, are the underlying factors that influence purchasing decisions. Gaining ambition, social achievement, and pride in one s personal appearance, are emotional benefits that will differentiate the Nike brand from the competition (Percey, 2008). The strength of the mash is determined by the yeast used and the sugar content (higher sugar higher alcohol content). The article Race, Religion, and Representative Bureaucracy (Grissom, Nicholson Crotty, Nicholson Crotty, 2009) explores the relationship between the minority administrator and the perception and reality of passive and active bureaucratic representation that benefits citizens of similar demographic origins (Meier 1993b). Generally, the authors contend, actions of citizens and bureaucrats both in pressures rendered and in the resulting actions that ensue, are largely influenced by geographic region, yet very little focus has been placed on this relationship.
