How Did Jewish People Use Military Resistance To The...
The fight for Jewish honor The Jewish population of Europe was about 9.5 million in 1933. In 1950,
after the Holocaust the Jewish population of Europe was about 3.5 million.
The Holocaust, was a genocide during World War II in which Adolf Hitler s Nazi Germany,
systematically murdered some six million European Jews, between 1941 and 1945.
At the time of the Holocaust, Jews used armed and unarmed forms of resistance in order to retain their
humanity.Armed resistance was when the Jewish people fought physically to avenge the slaughter of
so many of their people. One example of this type of resistance was the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. In
April May 1943, Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto rose in armed revolt after rumors that the Germans would
deport the remaining ghetto inhabitants to the Treblinka killing center. (Jewish resisitance article) This
quote shows the acts of resistance at this time were violent. Armed resistance showed how passionate
and strong the Jewish people could be. Another non violent way Jews resisted was through unarmed

ghettos (Spiritual resistance) That quote shows all the different things the Jews did to keep them going
without a bother to others. These efforts served to reaffirm a Jewish sense of community, history, and
civilization in the face of both physical and spiritual annihilation. Jews resisted in more ways through
unarmed resistance than armed resistance, spiritual resistance was another form of nonviolent

Tale Of Genji Critical Lens
I think that one of the main points for the first source, The Tale Of Genji, is that Japanese literature
can be just as important and masterful as European/Western and that The Tale of Genji shows that by
being amazingly written. I see that in this quote: If nothing else, the publication of this new translation
informs (or reminds) readers that there is a Japanese novel out there as complex and masterful as any
published in the West. That it was written 1,000 years ago in the Far East, and by a woman, makes us
question our long standing ideas about the roots of the modern novel . This quote shows that because
It says that we might need to question our ideas about the roots of the novel. That is important to the
theme because it s saying that

Persuasive Essay On Restorative Justice
Many schools implement the concept of restorative justice, in particular; Good Shepherd Catholic
College Mount Isa. The college implements restorative justice in their disciplinary system, they ve
created a new process in dealing with misbehavior through the Responsible Thinking Process (RTP).
This process allows the the students to identify what s wrong in their behavior and gives them a
chance to reflect upon this. The student is first warned when they misbehave then the teacher proceeds
to give them a second chance to correct said behavior after a warning. If the student continues to
misbehave, the teacher will go through the responsible thinking process in which they ask What are
you doing? What should you be doing? Where will you go if this continues to happens again? This
allows the students to take responsibility for their actions and think about their wrongdoings which
allows them to correct themselves. This is more effective than sending a student away and punishing
them, because without verbally addressing the issue, they don t understand the repercussions of their
actions and will often re offend. If the student then chooses to misbehave again they will be sent to
The Responsible Thinking Classroom (RTC), in which they will have to further reflect on their
actions. Once this process has occurred, they then have to negotiate with their teachers about returning
to the class and what they have to do, in order to be allowed in. (Good Shepherd Catholic College,
2017)

Questions On Divorce Mediation Process
In this response, I will overview divorce mediation, sessions, agreements, issues, plans, budgeting,
child support, spousal support, and some financial issues all in one paragraph. The article itself discuss
more in depth than I would go over. I would like to briefly discuss the importance that stood out to me
in these following topics listed above. However, all of these topics are very important but however, I
can t possible explain in depth all topics. In these next few paragraphs, I will provide a brief summary
of the article s contents, information from the chapters in the class text that s pertinent to the article s
nature and a closing paragraph.

the separating couple address the parenting issues and custody, the different distributions of assets,
liabilities, child/spousal support, insurance, income tax, and other decisions that will help restructure
the family into two units. It s typically for both of the spouses to meet three to six sessions of 90
minutes with their mediator for nine weeks. The mediator plays a big role in helping the couple

Suppose you had an accident the left you with constant pain. What would you do? How would you

In the year of 1932, Frida added a new technique to her painting. Frida added realistic and surrealistic
elements in her style. In that year she painted Henry Ford Hospital, this painting was to show her want

Twelve Angry Men Plot Essay
Plot: Twelve Angry Men is an interesting and exciting jury room confrontation in which an quot;open
and shut case quot; becomes strenuous as twelve strangers scuffle for answers. The trial involves a
nineteen year old boy, who is suspect of killing his father in a late night altercation with an
extraordinary knife. His fate now lies in the hands of 12 jurors, each with his own determination to
solve the case and reveal the truth. As the session takes its course, evidence becomes scrutinised,
tempers rise, and the jury room erupts in a shouting brawl because one such juror finds reasonable

Methods of Persuasion: The methods of persuasion used in the jury session consisted of Davis s

real fight to the end, because Davis could have easily given up. He begins by saying that he quot;only

woman who claimed to have seen the boy. Davis asserts that she could not have seen him at all

soon found out that there was not enough time to do so. A neighbor also claimed to have been under

Metamorphosis By Franz Kafka Literary Analysis
In literature, the concepts of alienation and separation are employed to depict the necessity of personal
interaction and social mingling for all humans. In his Metamorphosis, Franz Kafka attempts to unearth
the plausible dangers of social rejection via Gregor s metamorphosis into a monstrous vermin, which
in turn eventually leads to his alienation from not only his family, but also his past life. Furthermore,
to depict the notion of alienation to his audience Kafka utilizes his vivid development of Gregor s
workaholic attitude, Gregor s transformation in to a massive bug, and the primary emotion of guilt,
which Gregor inadvertently faces due to his belief of sacrificing his life for the betterment of his
family. Therefore, Kafka exploits Gregor s alienation to depict his underlying theme of the novel
humans heavy dependence on society not only leads to the loss of their individuality, but also leads to
the loss of their humanity. Prior to Gregor s transformation, he seemed quite unhappy, concerning his
life, as he was alienated by the expectations that were weighed down on him by the society
particularly his family. Consequently, in order to fulfill his duty he alienates himself from his family
by spending a significant amount of time travelling, and this is evident when ... Show more content on

For Dr. John Gottmann his successful research and discoveries began 35 years ago with the help of his
friend Robert Levenson. They began the research by building a laboratory where couples would attend
and speak with each other after a long workday deprived from each other. While the couples spoke
their heart rate, their blood velocity, the amount of sweat produced on the palm of their hands, and
even the movement they produced while being seated were being measured. The conversations the
couples had consisted of a subject that caused unceasing conflict between them and then a positive
subject, after their conversations their videotapes would be shown to the couple and were asked about

For example, the recipients of repair are those who intend to repair or resolve the issue. The repair can
only work between the couple depending on the amount of intimacy and friendship that already exists
in the relationship. These two factors are then be used to build the first stage of what they call a love
map. One of the fundamental characteristics of the friendship between two individuals is the intimate
open ended questions asked by this person and the memorization of the answers. Another
characteristic witnessed in the laboratory was the attention given to the partner speaking, for example
results showed that those partners who paid more attention to their partner while he was trying to
communicate or make a joke were those who continued to be married for a longer period of time.
Overall it can all be summarized in seven steps that will allow a relationship to flourish, and those are:
enhance your love map, nurture fondness and admiration, this means that it is imperative to be able to
remind yourself about the worthiness your partner possesses. The third step is turning toward each
other, by giving your partner the attention they crave you are acknowledging their presence and
making them feel how important they are to you. The fourth step is to let your partner influence you,

When Germany realised the first world war a situation destined for failure, an Armistice was signed.
The Armistice, signed by Germany, France and Germany on November 1918, was an agreement to
end the war as a prelude to the Treaty of Versailles. The Weimar Republic signed this peace treaty
imposed by the allies in 1919. The treaty states that Germany had to accept full responsibility for the
war, dismantle their army, take assigned liability for reparations in addition to losing with over a tenth
of their territory. This was perceived as a humiliation by the public and to Hitler. His bigotry and
irrational beliefs led him to suspect that Jews were the ones accountable for the loss and preventing
the progression of Germany. His manipulative rhetoric and nationalistic fervour found resonance in an
anti Semitic society. Hitler s great success with them brought him into leadership in a small nationalist
political party. The Nazi Party was later banned posterior to the abortive attempt in subverting the

December 15, 2016 in Massachusetts, individuals above the age of twenty one will now be able to
legally purchase, possess, cultivate, and use marijuana, with limitations on quantity, for recreational
and medicinal use under the statutes of the state laws. While the prohibition of marijuana in

Apology, By Plato s Apology
I know, I do not know, are the words that constitute Socrates philosophy that The only true wisdom is
in knowing you know nothing. In Apology, written by Plato, this ethical belief makes a bold
appearance demonstrating that true ignorance only revolves around those who think that they know
everything. In Apology, Socrates learns that the wisest men are those who do not think of themselves
of wise, and rather make an approach of going beyond an authentic method of inquiry and helping
others seek their personal philosophies which may result in conflict. In Plato s Apology, Socrates
demonstrates that introspection is the key to living life with purpose. Socrates knowing himself, held
in certain that he had no wisdom small or great (Plato, trans. 1871). Upon hearing the prophecy about
him from the Oracle of Delphi asserting that there was no man wiser than him in all of Athens, he
became puzzled (Plato, trans. 1871). In response to the message about him from the Oracle of Delphi,
Socrates felt obliged to disprove this statement by seeking a wiser man, and once found he would
refute the prophecy by affirming to God Here is a man who is wiser than I am; but you said that I was
the wisest (Plato, trans. 1871). Socrates embarked on a search for men with the reputation of wisdom.
First, he interrogated a politician, then the poets, and then artisans. While questioning the politician,

Deviance Has Changed Over Time Essay
This essay will consider whether or not the ideas of deviance have changed over time and if deviance
has changed over time whether it is reflected in the law, a common mistake made by a lot of people is
that all deviant acts are criminal this is not the case. All criminal acts are deviant but not all deviant
acts are criminal. Deviance is a behaviour of a person that differs from the social normality of society
(TheFreeDictionary.com, 2003 2015) this can be as simple as antisocial behaviour such as smoking, or
it can be a criminal act such as arson. There are two parts of deviance first there is Primary deviance
which includes a variety of social groups it doesn t have many consequences concerning social roles.
Then there is secondary deviance which is deviant behaviour based upon primary deviant, this
becomes peoples mean of protection or attack against society. (Newburn, 2013 2nd ed) ... Show more

LLUSM Personal Statement
I discovered Loma Linda University School of Medicine through a friend who urged me to apply
knowing how much of a devout Christian I am. I am aware that LLUSM educates its students in the
teachings of Christ, and teaches them to heal patients and make man whole as Christ did. This in itself
requires an understanding of Christianity and its application to medicine as a career. As a future
medical student, I recognize that I will be required to act according to these Christian ideals, a
privilege that I look forward to. I admire LLUSM due to its ability to spread love to its patients and
inform them of Christ s ministry. I wholeheartedly agree with the philosophy; healing a patient is
much more than treating the symptoms.
I was immediately attracted to LLUSM upon discovering it was a Christian oriented medical school. I

perfect opportunity. As a young child, I was raised to serve others through Christ. I believe LLUSM

Although the worlds of Buenos Aires and La Plata are conveyed throughout The Fish Child, there are

The Themes Of Love, And Narcissus
Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own. Robert A.
Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land. Love is not a singular adventure, it is a dangerous, perilous, and

teamwork and trust. Ancient Civilizations understood this concept. They wrote many legends and
myths about love. From the tale of Narcissus and Echo to the poem from Ovid s Metamorphoses

can be found, love cannot work if there is not a team. Both Narcissus and Orpheus show the underside

The Odor Threshold Of Smell
This topic is important because it shows how people are able to recognize a certain smell much sooner
than other. This experiment will show how one scent might have a higher odor threshold than another
scent. The question that is being answered is how does the human nose recognize a specific smell and
why people smell so many different scents. From this topic one can learn which scents have a higher
or lower odor threshold and knowing which scents of smell the human nose recognizes much easier
than others. This paper will include information on how your nose functions and why the nose is able
to recognize different smells in the air.
The purpose of this experiment was to discover when people start to smell a certain scent. The
question that is being investigated is how does the human nose recognize a specific smell and why
people smell so many different scents. This question is important because it is a way to figure out the
different odor thresholds. Odor threshold is the minimum amount of the scent needed in order for
someone to recognize the smell in the room.
It is important, that this question is answered because it s a way to find out why it is that people
recognize one scent much quicker that another scent. The answer to this question will explain why it is
that a little concentration of banana is way easier to smell than a little concentration of cinnamon. The
audience for this paper is anyone interested on when it is the human nose starts

The Role Of Yu s Myth In Ancient Chinese Culture
Besides the monarchy politics revealed by the story of Yu, the myth also shows what marriages are
like in the early ancient Chinese society. After Yu had toiled for thirty years he had reached the age
when, according to Confucian tradition, it was proper to take a wife. (p88 Christie, Anthony) Yu met
his wife by following a prophecy that lead to sovereignty. Yu s wife Nu chiao turned into a stone when
she is pregnant. After nine months of transformation a boy Chhi was born. Unlike Chinese feudal
tradition after Qin dynasty, a man as great as Yu only has one wife and one child. It shows that
monogamy is the dominant culture during Yu s time. When Yu was looking for a wife, he approached
the village of Thu Shan and saw a white fox with nine tails appear. This symbolized that to marry the
girl of Thu Shan means to obtain a flourishing lineage. He walked into the village and found a girl
whose name is Nu chiao waiting for him. They were married and ... Show more content on

And this move by Yu constitutes the beginning of Chinese geography. Cartography first appeared in
two chapters of Kuan Tzu in 7th century BCE. (p152 Birrel, Anne, Chinese mythology) In The Classic

such as Yangtze, Huai Han, and Yellow rivers. Chapters 61 and 96 of Pan Ku s History of Han (first

the identification of mythological place names appeared in pseudo geographical accounts of Yu

value, their texts and the accounts of Yu controls the flood helped Chinese people to divide the
provinces and name places. They are also major references in Chinese development of the science of

The Civil War And The Emancipation Proclamation Essay
Life for was harsh and arduous following up towards gaining freedom and after becoming a liberated
for many African Americans during the 19th century. But soon after the political, social, and economic
effects of slaves getting their freedoms back many bills or propositions were made to oppose the
reform movement. The context of the time period was pre civil war and during the early 19th century
where many large movements in religion, economy and social class were taking place and coming to
fruition. It also took place afterwards of the civil wars and the emancipation proclamation. This was
also the time period where many people in began to view slavery as an inhumane practice, a good
chunk of the people who opposed slavery were usually in the northern part of the united states and
were civil rights activists. The Fugitive Slave Acts were a pair of federal laws that allowed for the
capture and return of runaway slaves within the territory of the United States. Enacted by Congress in
1793, the first Fugitive Slave Act authorized local governments to seize and return escaped slaves to
their owners and imposed penalties on anyone who aided in their flight. Widespread resistance to the
1793 law later led to the passage of the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, which added further provisions
regarding runaways and levied even harsher punishments for interfering in their capture. The Fugitive
Slave Acts were among the most controversial laws of the early 19th century, and many Northern

The Best Practices Of Determining A Budget
Every company relies on accurate budget estimates in order to provide the correct amount of allocated
dollars in a budget plan that the company develops. Most companies develop budgets that look at least
two years into the future. Each company is different, however typically most expect their projected
budgets to be within 10% less or 25% more of the projected budget (Schwalbe 281). In order to do
this, managers must allocate project costs to individual work items over the lifetime of the project.
Project managers will create a cost baseline (time phased budget) in order to measure and monitor the
performance of their projects over the projects duration. Any changes or updates that are needed
should be changed and reflected in a newly updated budget. Real time budget updates are vital in
order to avoid financial problems. Ultimately, budgeting provides a prediction of the projects funding
requirements. This article will go into detail about the best practices of determining a budget, and how
they can be innovated for a better approach in the future.
In his book, Tactical Issues Best Practice Solutions in Budgeting, Stephan Hunt discusses five focus
areas that make up the best practice of determining a budget. These areas include: rolling forecasts,
increased participation of operational owners, link detail to accountability, end user analysis, and
driver based forecasting and budgeting (Hunt 3).

Language And Speech Processing Throughout Modern Humans Essay
The ability of speech and language processing has always been a defining factor in what makes
humans unique, especially from their closest living relative primates. This paper will analyze the
differences in modern human brain structure and the common chimpanzee brain structure (pan
troglodytes) in regards to the language and speech function. Language and speech processing in
modern humans will focus on two parts of the cerebral cortex: Broca s area and Wernicke s area,
which is responsible for generating speech and language and receiving speech and language
respectively. Broca s area will be analyzed by the two parts it is made up of: Brodmann area 44,
associated mainly with phonological tasks and Brodmann area 45, associated mainly with semantic
processing. Wernicke s area receives and interprets speech and language and is shown to be connected
to Broca s area by a neuronal tract known as the arcuate fasciculus. The structure of the common
chimpanzee brain is shown to have homologous structures to Broca s and Wernicke s area in modern
humans, but is significantly smaller, and is unable to perform the same developed functions as modern
humans in regards to language and speech, but is much more limited and simplified. Speech and
language are key components that distinguish modern humans from their close relatives primates. In
the modern human brain, located on the frontal lobe, is the motor cortex or strip that regulates the

seek to support in selfdirected learning based on constructivist, connectivist, and constructionist [7]
learning theories. These communication mechanisms are empowering and engaging to learners, and
contribute to the ongoing evolution of human society. It is important to acknowledge that credibility
and expertise in social networking comes from the extent of involvement in the network, including the
amount of participation, frequency, and the usefulness of the information provided. Teachers and
students in virtual worlds must gain benefits [8] through ongoing participation in networks to develop

Within the American Dream and throughout the novel, there is the aura of selfishness and fakeness.
The time after the war was a time of opportunity to further oneself and forget others feelings in times
of sorrow. For example, not one person came to Gatsby s funeral: The minister glanced several times
at his watch, so I took him aside and asked him to wait for half an hour. But it wasn t any use. Nobody
came (170). Even though the masses always came to his parties, people valued themselves over others
who provided so much for them and they never cared for Gatsby. Lastly, when Nick meets Tom again,
he fully understands how the people in his life, although striving for happiness, could not care if others
fail to be happy: They were careless people, Tom and Daisy they smashed up things and creatures and

BROILER PRODUCTION
THE PRODUCT
Nigeria s poultry production is expanding but is not keeping pace with rapidly increasing domestic
consumption requirements. The domestic supply shortfall is estimated at 25,000 MT per annum.
Despite the supply shortfall, the Government of Nigeria (GON) imposed a ban on legal frozen poultry
imports in July 2002 to support local production. Prior to the new ban, apparently virtually all poultry
meat imports entered the country unrecorded. Nigerian poultry producers are unlikely able to compete

Moreover, previous study demonstrated that the effect of thymol, a natural monoterpene phenol
primarily found in mandarin peel, on anti inflammation not only comes from the expression of
inflammatory cytokines but also from the iNOS and COX 2 pathway. The promising anti
inflammatory effect of thymol may involve in the inhibition of NF κB and MAPK signaling pathways
(26). TNF α being a key inflammatory mediator triggers an increase in synovial proliferation and also
production of other secondary mediators. TNF α also induces osteoclast differentiation.
Overproduction of TNF α in affected joint causes a cascade of secondary mediators involved in the
recruitment of inflammatory cells which leads to joint destruction (27). The actions of IL 1β include
induction of knee joint inflammation, cartilage damage and bone resorption (28). Cyclooxygenase
(COX) is strongly induced by IL 1β and plays an important role in the pathophysiology of rheumatoid
arthritis. Therefore, down regulation of pro inflammatory cytokines and NF κB may be an appropriate
therapeutic strategy for rheumatoid arthritis (29). The current study revealed increased serum levels of
both IL 1β and TNF α in the RA control groups. These results run parallel to several reports showed
that progression of RA is accelerated by pro inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. TNF α and IL

The Extent Of Personal Responsibility
The Extent of Personal Responsibility Taking place in two hemispheres from one another, the plot to
Khaled Hosseini s Kite Runner and Phillip Roth s Nemesis have few common elements to observe if
one were to look strictly at the plot. However, looking deeper reveals that both novels have startlingly
similar elements and themes; ranging from fear, to a rejection of god. The most significant theme in
both of these novels is the concept of personal responsibility a concept that defines Amir and Bucky
and drives the way they act, in addition to influencing the plot of each novel. Starting with protagonist
Amir in Kite Runner, the pivotal point of responsibility is first introduced when Hassan is raped by
Assef following the conclusion of the kite runner tournament that Amir won. This moment is the
single most significant moment in the entire novel: I stopped watching, turned away from the alley
(67). This quote establishes the theme of personal responsibility, and this very event would go on to
define Amir throughout the entirety of the novel, as Amir would go on to decades later to state: We
had both betrayed the people who would have given their lives for us (197). Another point is
established with this, that being the question of how far claiming responsibility go before being
considered unreasonable? Looking at this particular scene, one has to wonder, what could have Amir
have been able to do in this situation? While fleeing the scene is debated as a lack of

My laughter is empty and hollow
My feelings are wrecked within and often, feigned
Wounded by sheer agony not so shallow
So much so that my breathing is strained
T was a tale of two carefree and mirthful souls
Walking on a bed of roses in delight
Before they knew it, it evolved into strolls
Nearing a dismal end nowhere in sight
Tearing in painful joy and deep despair
Those bittersweet memories reach a dead end
A relationship I cannot repair
And this dreadful kiss of death, was once a friend
The haunting past I can never mend

Once A Friend
This poem is about losing a friend. Without her friend, the speaker is deprived of happiness. Even
when the speaker laughs or smiles, it is faked. The speaker was affected so much that breathing
became a burden. Initially, they were elated but soon, it turned into a path with a bitter end. Kiss of
death is a phrase, which refers to something that causes failure. The turn at the ending couplet shows
the speaker s reflection that there is no point in feeling nostalgic, as she cannot change the past.
I Can See You From Up Here
This poem is about a dead person requesting for her loved one not to cry by claiming that she is not
dead. The speaker is trying to assure her loved one that she is always watching her from above. The
speaker objectifies herself as the clouds, birds, sun and stars as they are high in the sky, where Heaven
is thought to be. In the 5th stanza, the speaker states, suffered but in delight , as she suffered but since
she does not want her loved one to cry, she tells that she is delighted. The speaker also advises her

Political Parties And Democratic Parties
The political party is an organization of people who share similar ideas about the way the country
should be governed. Political parties perform important tasks in government. In fact, political parties
select candidates and check the other party. Political parties also inform the public. Most importantly,
they organize the government (Political Parties, n.d.). The history of U.S political parties begins with
the Federalists and their opponents the Anti Federalists who became the Democratic Republicans. Two
major political parties in the United States today, however, are Democrats and Republicans. The U.S is
one of the very few countries with only two dominant parties and there is so much attention focused
on only two parties in the United State. Why Only Two Parties (n.d) explained that the two party
system in the U.S is largely due to what is called plurality voting in single member districts, also
means, winner takes all voting system. In addition, the two parties, Democrats and Republicans, have
essentially crowded out the other minor parties. It makes extremely difficult for someone from one of
those parties to become elected (Ch. 7). These two parties, the Democrats and Republicans, survived
through the decades and they have contrasting beliefs that distinguish them from one another.

Causes Of The Great Depression
The Great Depression was an economic decline that occurred in North America, Europe, and other
manufacturing countries of the world. It began in 1929 and lasted until about 1939. It is known as the
longest and most severe depression in the Western World. It is said that the Great Depression began
with a tragic collapse of stock market prices on the New York Stock Exchange in October of 1929.
Over the next three years, stock prices continued to fall, and in 1932, they had dropped to only about
20 percent of their value they had in 1929. This decline strained banks and many other financial
organizations, especially those who had stocks. By 1933, almost 11,000 of the 25,000 banks had
failed. During the Great Depression, shantytowns appeared as unemployed people were removed from
their homes. As the Depression got worse, and when the government failed to provide support,

through a fantasy setting is much more appealing and fascinating to me. One prominent example is the
children s fantasy book The Amber Spyglass, the third and final book in the His Dark Materials series
written by Philip Pullman. This book analyzes in depth issues such as moral ambiguity, the pitfalls of
power, and loyalty, all while simultaneously representing a coming of age novel where two children
may be the necessary turning point in a huge war with heaven, as they are bombarded with others
striving to gain their loyalty and the resulting power. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
People generally seek comfort in cults when that comfort cannot be found elsewhere within their
family, friends or community thus those who join tend to be vulnerable, seeking a place where they
feel safe and secure. But as they become more involved, cults often force people to cut ties with their
outside life to force full reliance, giving more and more time and money, thus increasing the cult s
power (Zimbardo). These actions are often present in church like organizations as well, begging the
question of determining the difference between a church and cult. Both can provide comfort and
security to a person who feels vulnerable, with the possibility of becoming overly extremist, leading to
religious fanaticism utter devotion and strict adherence to a religion with little to no regard for
anything outside beliefs set around that religion and its subsequent ruling laws. Religious fanaticism is
widely regarded as dangerous become of its extreme nature, often leading to lack of free will. At that
point, a religion would likely be classified as a cult. Devotion to the cult or religion results in a person
taking on characteristics of the organization, like their moral sense, which is often not in alignment

Couples In China
As a worldwide community, is it not our duty to ensure that every human is entitled to the basic
human right of life?
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, envisaged and signed by 193 countries, accepts that
every citizen in every country is entitled to every human right in the declaration. It is a matter of
principle that such rights should be enforced with all the power invested in the government and in the
justice system. We all deserve equal rights; yet in many countries, they are often flouted.
On the 10th December 1948, following the Second World War, the Universal Declaration was
implemented to ensure that such a horrendous conflict would never occur again. This was embraced
by the International Community and it was determined that every individual should have equal rights.
Human rights are pivotal for justice. It is unfathomable, incomprehensible and unjustifiable for
anything to take precedence over human rights!

Couples in China are deprived of Article 16 of the Human Rights which states that everyone has the
right to marriage and to found a family . This degradation of people is only a precursor to a horrific
culture of infanticide and abortion. Additionally, China s defiance of these rights has created
generational and gender inequality. The percentage of mature citizens outweighs the percentile of
young adults below the age of 39. This has had and continues to have an extremely detrimental effect
on China s economy due to the fact that the country lacks experienced individuals of a working age.
Despite China s population growth, the solution to their social and economic problem should not come
at the expense of the population s basic human rights. The gender inequality has precipitated an
unbalanced ratio: 121 boys for every 100 girls! Consequently, women are being kidnapped and forced

The Distinction Of Soul And Body In Socrates s Phaedo
In Phaedo, Socrates uses the soul and body to express the distinction between the forms and
appearances. Socrates describes the soul as divine, deathless, intelligible, uniform, indissoluble,
always the same as itself, whereas the body is most like that which is human, mortal, multiform,
unintelligible, soluble, and never consistently the same (Phaedo 80b). Furthermore, Socrates believes
there is a future awaits men after death (Phaedo 63c) because it might be a relocating for the soul from
here to another place (Apology 40d). Socrates believes the one aim of those who practice philosophy
in the proper manner is to practice for dying and death (Phaedo 64a) because philosophers are stuck in
a kind of prison (Phaedo 62b) struggling to acquire knowledge. ... Show more content on

Hence, Socrates concludes the living come from the dead in this way no less than the dead from the
living, and, if that is so, it seems to be a sufficient proof that the souls of the dead must be somewhere
whence they can come back again (Phaedo 72a) and as a result, if anyone recollects anything, he must
have known it before (Phaedo 73c). Socrates uses the example of Equal to demonstrate that we knew
the essence of Equal before birth. Knowing the essence allows people to [realize] that all these objects
strive to be like the Equal but are deficient in this (Phaedo 75a). Recollection in life can be
extrapolated that humans lose a

The college implements restorative justice in their disciplinary system, they ve created a new process in dealing with misbehavior through the Responsible Thinking Process (RTP). This process allows the the students to identify what s wrong in their behavior and gives them a chance to reflect upon this. The student is first warned when they misbehave then the teacher proceeds to give them a second chance to correct said behavior after a warning. If the student continues to misbehave, the teacher will go through the responsible thinking process in which they ask What are you doing? What should you be doing? Where will you go if this continues to happens again? This allows the students to take responsibility for their actions and think about their wrongdoings which allows them to correct themselves. This is more effective than sending a student away and punishing them, because without verbally addressing the issue, they don t understand the repercussions of their actions and will often re offend. If the student then chooses to misbehave again they will be sent to The Responsible Thinking Classroom (RTC), in which they will have to further reflect on their actions. Once this process has occurred, they then have to negotiate with their teachers about returning to the class and what they have to do, in order to be allowed in. • 25. The Best Practices Of Determining A Budget Every company relies on accurate budget estimates in order to provide the correct amount of allocated dollars in a budget plan that the company develops. Most companies develop budgets that look at least two years into the future. Each company is different, however typically most expect their projected budgets to be within 10% less or 25% more of the projected budget (Schwalbe 281). In order to do this, managers must allocate project costs to individual work items over the lifetime of the project. Project managers will create a cost baseline (time phased budget) in order to measure and monitor the performance of their projects over the projects duration. Any changes or updates that are needed should be changed and reflected in a newly updated budget. Real time budget updates are vital in order to avoid financial problems. Ultimately, budgeting provides a prediction of the projects funding requirements. This article will go into detail about the best practices of determining a budget, and how they can be innovated for a better approach in the future. In his book, Tactical Issues Best Practice Solutions in Budgeting, Stephan Hunt discusses five focus areas that make up the best practice of determining a budget. Language And Speech Processing Throughout Modern Humans Essay The ability of speech and language processing has always been a defining factor in what makes humans unique, especially from their closest living relative primates. This paper will analyze the differences in modern human brain structure and the common chimpanzee brain structure (pan troglodytes) in regards to the language and speech function. Language and speech processing in modern humans will focus on two parts of the cerebral cortex: Broca s area and Wernicke s area, which is responsible for generating speech and language and receiving speech and language respectively. Broca s area will be analyzed by the two parts it is made up of: Brodmann area 44, associated mainly with phonological tasks and Brodmann area 45, associated mainly with semantic processing. Wernicke s area receives and interprets speech and language and is shown to be connected to Broca s area by a neuronal tract known as the arcuate fasciculus. The structure of the common chimpanzee brain is shown to have homologous structures to Broca s and Wernicke s area in modern humans, but is significantly smaller, and is unable to perform the same developed functions as modern humans in regards to language and speech, but is much more limited and simplified. Speech and language are key components that distinguish modern humans from their close relatives primates. TNF α being a key inflammatory mediator triggers an increase in synovial proliferation and also production of other secondary mediators. TNF α also induces osteoclast differentiation. Overproduction of TNF α in affected joint causes a cascade of secondary mediators involved in the recruitment of inflammatory cells which leads to joint destruction (27). • 34. The Extent Of Personal Responsibility The Extent of Personal Responsibility Taking place in two hemispheres from one another, the plot to Khaled Hosseini s Kite Runner and Phillip Roth s Nemesis have few common elements to observe if one were to look strictly at the plot. However, looking deeper reveals that both novels have startlingly similar elements and themes; ranging from fear, to a rejection of god. The most significant theme in both of these novels is the concept of personal responsibility a concept that defines Amir and Bucky and drives the way they act, in addition to influencing the plot of each novel. Starting with protagonist Amir in Kite Runner, the pivotal point of responsibility is first introduced when Hassan is raped by Assef following the conclusion of the kite runner tournament that Amir won. This moment is the single most significant moment in the entire novel: I stopped watching, turned away from the alley (67). This quote establishes the theme of personal responsibility, and this very event would go on to define Amir throughout the entirety of the novel, as Amir would go on to decades later to state: We had both betrayed the people who would have given their lives for us (197). Another point is established with this, that being the question of how far claiming responsibility go before being considered unreasonable? Looking at this particular scene, one has to wonder, what could have Amir have been able to do in this situation? While fleeing the scene is debated as a lack of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
