This Work Displays Efficient Planning Of Work Tasks, Which
This work displays efficient planning of work tasks, which is further categorized to facilitate
observation of project progress. Levels, sublevels, milestones, and critical events are accentuated to
guide completion of the project. The work breakdown layout and Gantt Chart respectively emphasize
specific works for the project as well as tasks to be completed in an opportune structure for successful
execution and continuation of the project. Project tasks and project personnel. According to
Zaccagnini and White (2014), a project is defined as a sequence of tasks with a beginning and an end
that is bounded by time and resources and that produces a unique product or service. A work
breakdown structure represents the hierarchical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The project will utilize a Zero Based Budgeting method in efforts to control cost. This approach
recalculates all labor power and costs, and then decisions such as whether to continue the function and
at what levels is made (Roussel, 2013). In view of the fact there is no budget to compare from the
previous year, the budget will start at zero and be based on activities (e.g., salary).
Budget content and justification. Each task will be persistently assessed for its necessity to discourage
superfluous spending. Hourly costs due to development time and other resources may vary, in which
case costs will be adapted accordingly as the project implementation process continues. The project s
preliminary budget is projected to be $14,176.
Direct costs. Due to existing resources such as an electronic medical health record (EMR) and
appropriate staff (e.g. information technology (IT)), the majority of the direct costs for implementation
of an intrathecal pain therapy program will be attributable to salaries. Approximate salaries were
quantified by a national salary online search tool (Salary.com, 2016). The staff education time on
behalf of the project managers is recognized and postulated to be approximately hours 40 hours.
Indirect costs. Indirect costs include items which are shared by many different entities in the
institution, such as, business space, Internet access, and IT

Comparing The Haunted House In The Fall Of The House Of...
A haunted house, or a house in which all is not as it seems, is a common trope of Gothic literature.
This is due to the familiar nature of the home being distorted into something wholly uncanny. In The
Fall of the House of Usher the past sin of the Usher family results in the ultimate demise of, not only
the house, but also the Usher bloodline. The house in Poe s tale is in a state of severe decay. This is
similar to the residents of the house who are suffering from a hereditary illness that is inflicted upon
the Usher family. Similarly, in The House of The Seven Gables, a once magnificent house has become
a ruin of its former self due to a curse that affects the lives of the Pyncheon family. The family are also
cursed with poor fortune ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When first built the house is described as great house (p. 8), its whole visible exterior was ornamented
with quaint figures, conceived in the grotesqueness of a Gothic fancy. (p. 8) Here the house is grand
and corresponds with the public image of Colonel Pyncheon and the Pyncheon name. However, when
describing the current state of the house, the narrator notes that there was a carpet on the floor,
originally or rich texture, but so worn and faded in these latter years that its once brilliant figure had
quite vanished into one indistinguishable hue. (p. 19) The description of the house again corresponds
with the state of the Pyncheon family at the time a majority of the novel is set. They are low on
fortune and have decreased in social status. Like the house, the family have become indistinguishable
from their former glory. Colonel Pyncheon originally claimed the land that had once belonged to
Maule in order to increase his social status and power within the Puritan community. Land ownership
is a very prominent part of America s identity. A theory that was widely believed by American
colonialist was Manifest Destiny. This is the belief that it is the God given right of colonialist to
expand across America (Pratt, 1927). Gilman notes that throughout the whole history of civilization
land has been seen as primarily a source of power. (1984) Pyncheon already has a sizable plot of land
in the community bust still strives to absorber Maule s land. When first built, The House of the Seven
Gables symbolised the prestige of the Pyncheon name. However, that name no longer holds the same
meaning as it did in Colonel Pyncheon s time. Blotting writes that with another steeple edifice the
isolated house or mansion there is a similar conjunction of family line, social status and physical
property. Conjuring ideas of home and prison, protection and

Resistance Of The Patriarchal Norms Of Pakistan
Resistance to uprooting the patriarchal norms in Pakistan, especially in rural areas, is another cause of
the lack of education, especially for girls. You can see this resistance in the attacks on teachers and the
high rates of illiteracy, especially among women and girls. Balochistan is one of these places where
education can be scarce and the dangers are high. There have also been attacks on teachers, such as
one in October, when four female teachers in Quetta had acid thrown at them as they left school
(Girls). Risks like this push teachers away from schools, offering less opportunity to the girls who
might have attended, if they had the chance. Luckily, some girls been lucky enough to be invested in,
and they are the reason we are questioning these cultural norms in the first place. Malala Yousafzi is a
perfect example of what happens when someone has the bravery to stand up against an oppressive
system. Malala was the victim of the Taliban, being shot in the head for speaking out for her right to
an education as a girl, something the Taliban strongly opposed (Lewis 3). Malala had used a
pseudonym with the British Broadcasting Company to write about her conditions, and when her real
name was eventually revealed, the Taliban had their eyes on her (Lewis 5). Interestingly, Malala s
shooting created a spark in the opposite direction the Taliban intended. Killing, or attempted killing,
by the Taliban is meant to be a warning. But Malala s situation rustled people in a

Felony Voir Dire Case
Felony Voir Dire
Johnson and Haney describe a study related to the voir dire process.
The sixth amendment to the U.S constitution guarantees a defendant in a criminal prosecution the
right to a speedy, public, and impartial trial by jury. Once it has determined that the trail will be by
jury, the next step in the criminal proceeding is the selection of the jurors. During this process possible
jurors receive a summons in the mall ordering them to appear in court at a specified time and date the
people who are summoned comprise the venire (the prospective jurors for cases). Voir dire Latin term
meaning to speak the truth, this is an examination conducted by the courts or by the attorneys of a
potential juror or witness to determine if they would be proficient or qualified for services. Jurors
questionnaires reveals information disqualifying them from jury service is only the first step in the
jury selection process. Typical questions relate to whether prospective jurors know the defendant, the
attorneys, or any of the witnesses, whether they have read or heard about the case in the media, and
whether they have racial, nationality, or gender biases. Effective voir dire is getting the prospective
jurors to tell the court or attorneys what they need to know.
During the voir dire process, the way jurors are removed is part logic and part legal strategy. The
judge determines that a potential juror is not likely to be fair to both sides in the case, than the juror

Argumentative Essay On Designer Babies
Imagine a world where having a baby was like looking through a menu at some fancy restaurant.
Imagine being able to choose how a baby will look and act. As mind boggling as it sounds, scientists
and researchers came across an unbelievable discovery: it is possible to design and edit a baby
however a person may like. Hanson asserts that personality, gender, appearance, intelligence, hair
color, and height can be changed using technology that was originally used for animals (Hanson).
These babies are called designer babies. Phillip Ball, a science writer, claims that it is possible to
change the genetic makeup of an unborn baby using bio technology. However, these changes can have
more negative effects than positive. Although most countries have not legislated the use of genetic
modification, studies have been done on human embryos in China (Ball).
According to The Ethics of Designer Babies article, a process called in vito fertilization must be done
before any genetic changes can be made. In this process, the mother s mature eggs are retrieved from
the ovaries and taken to a lab to be combined with sperm outside of the body. They are fertilized in a
petri dish. This is the reason why they are sometimes referred to as test tube babies. After fertilization,
the embryo is sent back into the mother s uterus and a third parent comes into play. The third parent,
or the donor, has his or her mitochondrial DNA inserted into the embryo, a process known as
cytoplasmic transfer.

Carbon Emissions And Its Effects On The Environment
Greenhouse gasses (GHGs) pose a serious threat to the environment through acting as a catalyst for
substantial climate change. Carbon Dioxide (CO2), a specific greenhouse gas, is the one that is the
most prominent in our atmosphere; this being the case it is also causing the most damage. Carbon
dioxide is emitted primarily through the burning of fossil fuels, such as oil and coal. These fossil fuels
are burned in power plants and create large amounts of emissions that are not ideal for the
environment. When faced with a problem similar to this one, it is only rational to think that a
particular solution should be implemented. In this case, the solution is a carbon tax . These carbon
taxes would be directed towards the sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Recently, British Columbia,
Canada enacted a carbon tax, it has some strengths and weaknesses, the due has an effect on the
economy, it also needs to be at a certain rate, it has been successful and unsuccessful, the tax is also
has aspects of being revenue neutral and revenue recycling. A carbon tax as an idea for the reduction
of hurtful greenhouse gasses is a brilliant one. Taxes like this provide a disincentive for certain
behaviors, so what better way to reduce pollution? There are other policies out there, for example cap
and trade programs and command and control regulations, but these are not as strong for reducing
greenhouse gas emission. According to David Brodwin, a writer for U.S. New, a carbon tax would be

What is Wrong with Out Penal System
The Author Jack Kerouac said, In seeking to severely penalize criminals society by putting the
criminals away behind safe walls actually provide them with the means of greater strength for future
atrocities glorious and otherwise. In the position that prison reform is not justified and shouldn t be
ruled in favor of, that I feel compelled to negate today s resolution. Resolved: Prison reform is not
justified. For clarification of today s round, I offer the following counter definitions. To begin with,
the word prison reform is defined as the attempt to improve conditions inside prisons, aiming at a
more effective penal system. In addition to that, the term not justified is defined as something that is
not shown to be right or reasonable. The highest value within today s round is efficiency and it is
defined as performing or functioning in the best possible way with the least waste of time and effort.
Efficiency is most important in today s round because it shows how prisons are functioning in the way
that they are supposed to, and they are providing the prisoners will all of their necessities such as
education as well as food. The best criterion for evaluating this resolution is effectiveness and it is
defined as successful in producing a desired or intended result. It best achieves my value of efficiency
because it clearly shows how useful it is and how it gets the job done respectively.
In negating the resolution, I offer the following contentions beginning with

Sports Production Classification
Every live sports production has its ups and downs. The Carson Newman versus Brevard men s
basketball first half was no exception to this. There were five categories that the production of the
broadcast was broken down into; camera angles, camera work, switching, shot selection, and replay.
All of these categories play specific roles into making sure a broadcast goes on successfully. Only
three categories are discussed, as switching and shot selection both fall under the director and there
were no replays used within the first half of this particular production.
The first category that one should look at while critiquing the live sports production is the camera
angles or camera setup. By looking at the camera setup, one is able to better understand ... Show more

Overall the shot selection was well done by keeping the wide angle shot the primary camera so that
the audience could see the flow and rhythm of the game. The use of the hero camera was used
effectively throughout the production of the first half. The hero camera was used most effectively
during player fouls and after shots were made, so that the audience had an idea of who made the
basket or the foul. The hero camera was also used particularly well right before the under twelve
media timeout, in getting a close up shot of the player that committed the foul. The baseline camera
selection really stood out the most during the break away dunks and the inbounds plays on the
baseline. One shot that stood out was the opening lineups were the director switched from the wide
shot to the hero shot, so that the audience could visually tell who the starters were for each team.
There was a very well done transitional switch from the director at the 17:50 mark, the Brevard player
grabs the rebound and goes coast to coast with the basketball. The director did a great job with
choosing the student section baseline camera and then switching back to the primary camera to finish
off the play. Another great use of switching came during the under sixteen timeout, the director made
sure to transition from shot to shot, in order for the audience to get the full grasp of what was going on
within the building. Another great shot came from the 14:25 mark in the game when the audience gets
the close up of the official handing the ball to the player for an inbounds play on the far side of the
court. There were some instances throughout the production that were sub par or did not transition as
well. The opening tip was a great example as the director starts out with the wide shot, then goes to a
back court shot, then back to the wide shot, then to the baseline shot. This was

Poverty In John Steinbeck s As American As Apple Pie
Poverty has now become As American As Apple Pie , a situation we choose to ignore, and along with
it the millions of families who suffer from it. Many have this tendency to believe that they are safe
from falling into poverty; unaware of the multiple situations that can cause one to fall into poverty. It
makes one wonder what s keeping them from tipping over, eventually leading to the question, what
makes poverty so common, and why is it still around?
Following the recession and lost of millions of manufacturing jobs, many American families fell
within the poverty line. As Rank describes in his article many turned to the safety net known as
government aid during such times. Such assistance was to provide families in need with money and
services needed to survive needed to survive before they could get back on their feet. Downside was,
these programs only helped these families ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The welfare program for instance is a perfect example. Welfare was a government program which
provided support for those unable to support themselves. However, as explained and examined by
Blank the program was deeply flawed and not very useful. Blank made it clear that single household
families specifically those led by single mothers, are the ones in dire need of welfare yet more than
69% of them remain unaided and out of work. Known as disadvantaged mothers these women who
meet all these requirements for the program, no longer qualify. Reasons behind it include their
inability to find a job within sixty months, while attending all required welfare programs and caring
for their children. It s very difficult for these women to find a job and keeping one was even greater
challenge. Finding childcare was very difficult, along with having to take days off in case the child
gets sick; both of which result in missing days of work, which can lead to one losing their job. Having
to constantly care for young children, and the home, while working as a single mother is not

A Report On The Japanese Automotive Industry
Introduction
The Japanese automotive industry is one of the largest and most prominent industries in the world.
Japan has consistently been one of the top three countries with most cars manufactured since the
1960s, surpassing Germany. The automotive industry in Japan rapidly increased from the 1970s to the
1990s and in the 1980s and 1990s, overtook the U.S. as the production leader with up to 13 million
cars per year manufactured. After massive ramp up by China in the 2000s and fluctuating U.S. output.
Japanese investments helped expand the auto industry in numerous countries throughout the last few
decades. It is home to some of the world s largest automotive companies such as Toyota, Honda,
Nissan, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Mazda, and Subaru (Reporter), but for the purpose of this report my
focus will be on only two of these extremely successful innovators of the automotive industry, namely
Honda and Nissan.
Background
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers of automobiles and motorcycles in the
world. The company also provides financial services, power products, and other products and services.
It primarily operates in North America, Asia, and Europe. Honda is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan and
employed 190,338 people as of March 31, 2013 (Honda²).

Decision Making Step
Decision Making Steps There are six steps typically associated with effective decision processes.
These six steps in the Managerial Decision Making Process are recognition of Decision Requirement,
Diagnosis and Analysis of Causes, Development of Alternatives, Selection of Desired Alternative,
Implementation of Chosen Alternative and Evaluation and Feedback.(Daft 1995) First steps in the
decision making steps are recognition of decision requirement. The ability to recognize what is known
is usually very important in the decision making steps. Therefore, during making decision managers

(5) redesign the work area to make it more pleasant, and (6) dismiss or retrain those supervisors who
are disliked by employees. Therefore, decision alternatives can be thought of as the tools for reducing
the difference between the organization s current and desired performance. In the steps 4 , once the
alternative have beeen developed, one must be selected. This might seem to be an obvious step after
all, this is because managers have already determined what their best alternative is. However, this best
alternative will be based on the amount of information available to the managers and by their
imperfect judgement. In addition, the manager s goal is to make the choice with the least amount of
risk and uncertainty. Because some risk is inherent for most non programmed decisions, managers try
to gauge prospects for success. Under conditions of uncertainly, they may have to relt on their intution
and experience to estimate whether a given course of action is likely to succeed. (Daft 1995) For
example, let us assume our problem is the low performance of sales department. We might believe that
performance of sales would be most conveniently increased if we dismissed the department
supervisor. But our investigation discovers that the supervisors is extremely important for

Abstract This is a new optimization algorithm which mimic the behavior of mosquito to find a hole in
mosquito net, if any. Both the flying and sliding motion of the mosquito have been modelled and
incorporated in the algorithm. The algorithm was tested for global minima on different type of
benchmark functions of various dimension and modality. Namely Gramacy Lee, Ackley, Rastrigin,
Rosenbrock, Griewank and Schwefel functions of one, two, five, ten and thirty dimensions. The
experiment was done with thirty different seeds generated randomly for each function and dimension.
The algorithm was found to be efficient, convergent and accurate.
Keywords Evolutionary algorithm, MFO, PSO, GA, ACO, Benchmark optimization function
I: Introduction
Optimization can be defined as the search for the best possible solution(s) to a given problem. For this,
there are a number of optimization techniques both conventional and new meta heuristics. The
conventional methods are gradient based which are although quite faster in convergence, but are not
applicable for discontinuous, non differentiable and complex multimodal functions. These techniques
have limitations to find the global optima and have general tendency to stuck at local optima as they
start with a single point. Hence there are exhaustive search methods to tackle

Donald James Woods is one of the main characters in the movie. Woods is white and therefore he has
a lot of advantages in the society, which he as first doesn t see anything wrong with. He doesn t see
apartheid as the worst and doesn t really think that much about it. He is editor in chief on a white
newspaper and print what the government want printed.
Woods is 41 years old when we get introduced to him. He is married, has five children, lives in a big
house with swimming pool and drives a Mercedes. Woods and his family have a black housekeeper,
which is really normal in South Africa. Woods has a very white liberal attitude about the South Africa

picture of how the blacks are oppressed which is against the laws because the press isn t free. When
Biko dies in the prison in his fight for better rights the government cover the real reason for his death
with a story about Biko hunger stroked. Woods decides therefore to run the real story in his newspaper
and end up getting banded by the government. He decides to escape out of South Africa to England
where he wants to publish a book, which is the real story about Steve Biko. Steve Biko is the flat
character in the movie. He has his whole life lived under oppression and apartheid laws. He fight for
better rights for the black people and wants an ending on the laws. When Biko becomes friends with
Woods he convinces him that the laws should end and the blacks should stop living under oppression.
When Woods starts to print Bikos words it starts to make a difference in South Africa. When the
police catch Biko he ends up dying in the prison because of his meanings about apartheid.
Woods is therefore the story s round charter because he changes from having a white liberal approach
to fight for better rights for the black people and Biko is the story s flat charter because he has the

The Financial Performance And Condition Of The Porsche Se...
When we think about Porches, we think about beautiful, high performance, sports cars. Porches
started in a small workshop in Gmund, Austria, where the first sports car was released in June of 1948.
Since then Porsche has grown into a thriving company that is associated with the beautiful sports cars
they produce. Porsche SE Group is an automobile manufacturing company that produces vehicles
under the Porsche brand and also produces a variety of brands that fall under the Volkswagen umbrella
of the company. Porsche s has grown into one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world.
Throughout this paper, we will assess the financial performance and condition of the Porsche SE
Group, as well as, providing an analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
(SWOT) in relation to this company. In addition, company decisions will be analyzed for quality.
Also, a few recommendations for improving the company will be provided. Porsche was founded in
1930 by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche as an automotive design and engineering company (Funding Universe,
ND.). He had a reputation to be one for designing innovative cars and even attacked the attention of
Aldof Hitler. There was soon a collaboration between Porsche and Hitler, which resulted in the 1939
production of the Type 60 KdF Wagen (Price, 2006, p58). The car designed by Porsche was known as

Truman s Mom Research Paper
It is, and always has been a parent s job to raise their child; to bring them up into the world as best
they can to become functioning members of society. Truman s mom, like my mom showed him the
way the world worked. Unlike my mom, Truman s lied to him throughout the process which gave him
a twisted idea of what the real world is.
When looking at the way Truman s mom impacted him throughout his life, most would see it as
negative. She fundamentally lied to him his entire life in order to cover up the truth. Our parents are
the main people in our lives who both introduce us to the world, and help us to understand how things
work in it. My mom has significantly shaped the way I view the world because from the beginning she
has tried to steer me right by telling me what she believes to be the truths of the world. We all trust our
parents to tell us what is right in the world. When Christof is explaining why Truman has never

Comparing Scarface 1932 And Scarface 1983
Remakes of films are a common occurrence. Sometimes remakes are incredible and introduce a
generation to great films of the past, however, sometimes they aim too high and miss the mark
completely. Scarface 1932 and Scarface 1983 is a great example of the latter. Scarface 1932 was the
first of its kind in many respects while Scarface 1983 fell short. While at the core of both of these
films they are the same, there are a few small plot discrepancies, but the message of the rise and fall of
a man is identical. Visually these films are nothing alike. Beyond the obvious use of color in the 1983
film, the lighting, spacing, and camera work are all different. Scarface 1932 was revolutionary in its
use of low key lighting while Scarface 1983 followed typical lighting conventions. The use of
symbolism in Scarface 1932 was an added layer of complexity to the film that Scarface 1983 did not
have. One thing both films did face quite extensively was censorship. Each film had to be heavily
altered in some way in order for the public to view them. While neither film was truly in the
production code era each film felt the effects regardless. On its own Scarface 1983 is not a bad film,
but when compared to Scarface 1932 it pales in comparison. When one looks into why remakes occur
so frequently, the answer that is found is nostalgia. Gangster films stem from nostalgia much like
westerns do however in both examples neither one is at all an accurate depiction of the time period.

Shooting An Elephant
The short story Shooting an Elephant by George Orwell is about Orwell s experience with peer
pressure as a sub divisional police officer in Moulmein, Lower Burma. This experience occurred
during the 1930s when the Burmese had a very strong anti European feeling because they did not want
people who are not natives controlling their own country`s domestic and international affairs. It
commenced when the sub inspector at a police station asked him to control an elephant who wrecked
the bazaar, livestock, a house and ate fruit in the city. Its mahout, the only person who can control it
when it was in that state, was a twelve hours` journey away from the elephant because he went in the

Most of the differences deal with the traits and situations the protagonists faced. One difference
between the peer pressure each of the main characters faced was that Esperanza faced peer pressure
dealing with beauty and sexuality. Another difference between the peer pressure is that Orwell`s
experience involves a death of a creature while Esperanza`s experiences do not mention death
anywhere. The final difference is that in Shooting an Elephant, there was a greater possibility for
Orwell to go to trial but Esperanza can`t since she doesn t know who raped her.
First of all, Esperanza`s experiences dealt with her beauty, physical traits, and sexuality. She wanted to
be cute, have large hips and have a relationship with a boy. Esperanza was also raped and tricking into
kissing and eventually changed her views on boys and men. However, George Orwell`s experiences
dealt with defending himself and the natives. It also dealt with colonialism and imperialism. In

Similarities Between 70 And 70
The 70 s v. 2017 Life in the 70 s was very different than it is today. When you compare the 1970s to
2017 you can see the huge differences, and maybe some similarities. A lot has changed since the 70 s,
including the style, lifestyle, pop culture, and more. Since the 70 s a lot has changed, we have changed
in some ways and are similar in more ways than one. Here are the differences and similarities between
the 70 s and today, 2017. In the 70 s the first president of the decade was Richard Nixon, he was the
37th president and was in office 1969 1974. Eventually Gerald Ford held office after Nixon resigned
to avoid the eventual outcome of Watergate, which would have led to impeachment. Jimmy Carter
then served as president in years 1977 1981, with Walter Mondale as vice president. Today in 2017 we
have Donald Trump and Mike Pence, and people are begging for Trump to be impeached, similar to
Nixon. Though people do see impeachment in Trump s future, but some do not. Another difference
since the 70 s is the inflation of the dollar. A dollar in 1970 is worth $6.30 today, which is a 530.0%
increase. A dollar in 1979 is worth $3.37, which is a 237% increase. When comparing the 70 s to
today it is always best to compare the cost of living. In 1970 minimum wage was $1.60, today in New
Mexico minimum wage is now $9.25. A year of tuition at a public college was about $1,200 in the 70
s, according to the college board, the average student payed about $9,650 for tuition. In January of

Summary Of A Bitter Prize By Gershom Gorenberg
Life or Land? A Critical Review of Gershom Gorenberg s A Bitter Prize: Israel and the Occupied
Territories. All throughout the 20th century Israel and its neighboring countries were left in shambles
after devastating wars. Gershom Gorenberg s A Bitter Prize: Israel and the Occupied Territories goes
over the Six Day War that happened in Israel in 1967 and its aftermath. Gershom Gorenberg is an
Israeli citizen and when he learned about the war he decided to write about the importance of it and
everything that happened for the next 10 years after from 1967 1977. Its intended for anyone that
understands Israel s culture and anything about the Israeli settlements. The thesis Gorenberg decided
on was What was the effect and outcome of the israeli wars on surrounding countries, areas, and
civilians? Overall it was a decent book. I suggest being familiar with Israel s major land areas and
settlements before reading as some of the language and names of the areas are hard to connect too. ...

The Arabians and the Jews have not been in good terms leading up to this war. A combined forced of
Egypt, Jordan and Syria invaded Palestine taking over the Arabs and some of the jewish towns. The
aftermath of this war was Arabians lost their land and no state was created for them, while the Jewish
state gained about 60% more land that previously belonged to the Arabians. As many as 750,000
Palestine Arabs had fled from their villages and cities in the new Jewish state or have been expelled by
Jewish forces, becoming refugees. (Gershom 11) This war was the start up war that lead to the Six

Snow Leopards The world is full of many diverse animals. They all have many unique attributes.
Some are carnivores. Others are herbivores. Many are indigenous to certain biomes. Some are thriving
in population, while others are on the brink of extinction. All animals have their specialties in
surviving. One such unique animal is the snow leopard. The snow leopard is fighting for its existence
against many obstacles. The snow leopard has many adaptations to its biome. This animal is very
unique and scarce. The snow leopard is indigenous to the mountains of Central Asia. Their habitat is
in total two million kilometers. The habitat crosses twelve different countries. These countries include
China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, India, Bhutan, Mongolia, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan,
Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan. This mountain range is called the Himalayas. Snow leopards are located
between three thousand and five thousand four hundred meters above sea level, except in Russia and
mongolia where they are found at one thousand meters. The climate at this elevation is typically dry
and cold. Because of this, only small shrubs and grasses can grow on the steep slopes of the mountain.
This terrain is prefered for the snow leopards. The cliffs, ravines, and rocky outcrops provide great
cover and clear views to aid in hunting. Each snow leopard lives within a defined home range. In this

Debbie Purdy s Legal Case Study
Debbie Purdy s legal case illustrated a prime example of concerns over good quality of death. She
suffered from Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic disease that degenerates the body over time and attacks the
nervous central system. During her illness she launched a legal battle to clarify the law on assisted
suicide and in 2009 finally won a ruling allowing her husband to support her in ending her life, should
living become unbearable (BBC, 2014). Debbie argued that her personal experience with the reality of
the disease reinforced (her) conviction that we need to change the law and allow assisted dying when
life is unbearable (Purdy, 2015).
The idea of quality of death highlights a societal dilemma over what is more important, the total

The European Convention on Human Rights protects the value of life and upholding individual s right
to life. However, this core value creates difficulties for the right of self determination, this is because
the right to life constricts a person s right to make autonomous decisions about his/her life (Tiensuu,
2015, p251). Which results in a paradox for the rights based argument the convention is primarily
based on. The idea behind having a right is that one can waive this right, if one wished. Therefore,
with assisted dying one is making a request to waive his/hers right to life, and this should be respected
(Singer, 1993, p195). A democratic government, as discussed in Chapter One, should protect all
liberties; this includes the liberty to make decisions about the end of your life. Until 1961, committing
suicide in England and Wales was considered a criminal act. The decriminalisation of suicide is used
by supporters of euthanasia as a tool to highlight the inconsistencies and discriminatory nature of the
legal system. If an individual is unable to take his own life, due to an illness or disability, and is
assisted this constitutes as a criminal

The Age Of Europe During The Medieval Era
Between the years 500 A.D. and 1400 A.D., a time referred to as the Middle Ages occurred in Europe.
This era began as the Roman Empire collapsed, following the disorder that occurred because of the
destruction of the Romans. During this dark time, there was much disorder. Eventually, this time
period led to the rise of feudalism, the immense power of the Roman Catholic Church, and many
advancements in architecture, literacy, and art. The variety of events that occurred in this period
allowed historians to label it as many things. Four of these labels are the Age of Faith, the Dark Ages,
the Age of Feudalism, and the Golden Age of Europe . During the Medieval Era, people of Europe
were in disarray and disunity, and they trusted every word the church spoke; therefore, the two best
labels for this era are the Dark Ages and the Age of Faith. The Medieval Era came to be labeled as the
Dark Ages for multiple reasons. When the Western Roman Empire collapsed, many barbaric
civilizations found that it was the right time to invade and gain some land in Europe, a land filled with
anarchy and disunity at the time. These barbarians were one of the great causes for the Middle Ages to
be labeled as dark, for they were the ones to cause violence, which then led to more events that put the
Middle Ages into this category. Frantz Funck Brentano further explains, The barbarians have broken
through the ramparts... There is no longer any trade, only unceasing terror... Society has no

Modern Social Media And All Forms Of Print Alike
Modern social media and all forms of print alike have become overrun with advertisements. These ads
become distractions to the readers and take their mind away from the sole purpose of the articles.
More specifically, this advertisement featured in Men s Health magazine from March of 2015, shows a
full back cover dedicated to LA Muscle. This company sells a large merchandise line of dietary
supplements and workout enhancing products appealing to males ages 16 40. Starring in this ad is
their Gold LA Whey Protein. Their ads have been known to catch readers off guard and steal their
attention from the actual magazine. With the sophisticated text, colors, and images, this ad hits Men s
Health readers with intimidation, current trends, and image coaxing them into purchasing their over
priced, no guarantee product. First off, LA Muscle immediately grabs the readers attention by
rhetorically asking, Protein is protein, right? WRONG. This statement is meant to make readers
question whether or not the protein they currently use compares to the one that is being marketed to
them. The word WRONG is boldly printed, to intimidate readers and make them second guess
themselves for thinking all protein is the same. The strong emphasis on this word quickly grabs the
readers attention. Even those readers who have done their research about their supplements may be
swayed into thinking that their opinion on the most beneficial protein could not be correct. This tactic

How Does Shakespeare Use Racial Prejudice In Othello
More than Jealousy and Love: Othello
While reading any literary work, there are lots of conceptions that you have to consider, even if the
genre of it is romantic or comedy, it might have all kinds of hidden things. You have to have an open
mind to see all that. Reading can be an opening for the mind to see how people used to live and how
they are living now. Othello one of the most interesting plays that talk about very important issues,
like love of course, racial prejudice, and being an outsider.

Introduction:
The Wittig reaction, named after Georg Wittig, produces an alkene from an aldehyde or ketone
reacting with a phosphonium ylide (a Wittig reagent). The Wittig reaction is typically stereoselective,
which makes the Wittig reagents more difficult to work with but use of the Wittig with different allyl
substituents prove to make the Wittig more versatile which can lead to the synthesis of a wide range of
alkenes, styrenes, stilbenes, and 1,3 dienes which can then be used to synthesize more complex
bioactive compounds such as leukotrienes which are used to treat asthma1. The Wittig reaction is also
favored over other reagents because it can be used under

There was a low yield for the product, as much of the reactant remained in the analysis sample,

The Restorative Term For Ringworm
Ringworm is an issue that could transpire at any age and time. It makes the influenced zone look

Backpressure Based Adaptive Routing and Scheduling In...
Under high traffic conditions, this works very well, and backpressure is able to fully utilize the
available network resources in a highly dynamic fashion. Under low traffic conditions, however,
because many other nodes may also have a small or 0 queue size, there is inefficiency in terms of an
increase in delay, as packets may loop or take a long time to make their way to the destination. This is
particularly of concern in intermittent encounter based mobile networks which are already delay
limited due to the sparse and highly dynamic network connectivity. Such networks have proposed the
use of redundant transmissions to improve delay, which do not work well when the traffic load is high.
Routing protocol, such as Spray and Wait, that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The additional transmissions incurred by BWAR due to the duplicates utilize available slots which
would otherwise go idle, in order to reduce the delay. Particularly for networks that are not energy
limited, this offers a more efficient way to utilize the available bandwidth during low load conditions.
In order to minimize the storage resource utilization of duplicate packets, ideally, these duplicate
packets should be removed from the network whenever a copy is delivered to the destination. Since
this may be difficult to implement (except in some kinds of networks with a separate control plane),
we also propose and evaluate a practical timeout mechanism for automatic duplicate removal. Under
high load conditions, because queues are rarely empty, duplicates are rarely created, and BWAR
effectively reverts to traditional backpressure and inherits its throughput optimality property. By
design, BWAR is highly robust and distributed and does not require prior knowledge of locations,
mobility patterns, and load conditions.
The duplicate queues are maintained and utilized as follows:
Original packets when transmitted are removed from the main queue; however, if the queue size is
lower than a certain threshold qth, then the transmitted packet is duplicated and kept in the duplicate
buffer associated with its destination if it is not full (otherwise no duplicate is created).
Duplicate packets are not removed from the duplicate buffer when transmitted. They

Hemp Oil Essay
What has the DEA said about CBD oil?
The cannabis plant contains over 85 cannabinoids, with tertahydro cannibinol (THC), the principal

around the Central Nervous System (CNS), immune system and the brain. The systems plays an
important role of regulating the body s homeostasis or state of balance by impacting functionalities

Levels, sublevels, milestones, and critical events are accentuated to guide completion of the project. The work breakdown layout and Gantt Chart respectively emphasize specific works for the project as well as tasks to be completed in an opportune structure for successful execution and continuation of the project. Project tasks and project personnel. • 3. Comparing The Haunted House In The Fall Of The House Of... A haunted house, or a house in which all is not as it seems, is a common trope of Gothic literature. This is due to the familiar nature of the home being distorted into something wholly uncanny. In The Fall of the House of Usher the past sin of the Usher family results in the ultimate demise of, not only the house, but also the Usher bloodline. The house in Poe s tale is in a state of severe decay. This is similar to the residents of the house who are suffering from a hereditary illness that is inflicted upon the Usher family. Similarly, in The House of The Seven Gables, a once magnificent house has become a ruin of its former self due to a curse that affects the lives of the Pyncheon family. The family are also cursed with poor fortune ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When first built the house is described as great house (p. 8), its whole visible exterior was ornamented with quaint figures, conceived in the grotesqueness of a Gothic fancy. (p. 8) Here the house is grand and corresponds with the public image of Colonel Pyncheon and the Pyncheon name. However, when describing the current state of the house, the narrator notes that there was a carpet on the floor, originally or rich texture, but so worn and faded in these latter years that its once brilliant figure had quite vanished into one indistinguishable hue. (p. 19) The description of the house again corresponds with the state of the Pyncheon family at the time a majority of the novel is set. They are low on fortune and have decreased in social status. Like the house, the family have become indistinguishable from their former glory. Colonel Pyncheon originally claimed the land that had once belonged to Maule in order to increase his social status and power within the Puritan community. Land ownership is a very prominent part of America s identity. A theory that was widely believed by American colonialist was Manifest Destiny. This is the belief that it is the God given right of colonialist to expand across America (Pratt, 1927). Gilman notes that throughout the whole history of civilization land has been seen as primarily a source of power. (1984) Pyncheon already has a sizable plot of land in the community bust still strives to absorber Maule s land. When first built, The House of the Seven Gables symbolised the prestige of the Pyncheon name. However, that name no longer holds the same meaning as it did in Colonel Pyncheon s time. Blotting writes that with another steeple edifice the isolated house or mansion there is a similar conjunction of family line, social status and physical property. • 4. Resistance Of The Patriarchal Norms Of Pakistan Resistance to uprooting the patriarchal norms in Pakistan, especially in rural areas, is another cause of the lack of education, especially for girls. You can see this resistance in the attacks on teachers and the high rates of illiteracy, especially among women and girls. Balochistan is one of these places where education can be scarce and the dangers are high. There have also been attacks on teachers, such as one in October, when four female teachers in Quetta had acid thrown at them as they left school (Girls). Risks like this push teachers away from schools, offering less opportunity to the girls who might have attended, if they had the chance. Luckily, some girls been lucky enough to be invested in, and they are the reason we are questioning these cultural norms in the first place. Malala Yousafzi is a perfect example of what happens when someone has the bravery to stand up against an oppressive system. Malala was the victim of the Taliban, being shot in the head for speaking out for her right to an education as a girl, something the Taliban strongly opposed (Lewis 3). Malala had used a pseudonym with the British Broadcasting Company to write about her conditions, and when her real name was eventually revealed, the Taliban had their eyes on her (Lewis 5). Interestingly, Malala s shooting created a spark in the opposite direction the Taliban intended. Killing, or attempted killing, by the Taliban is meant to be a warning. But Malala s situation rustled people in a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Felony Voir Dire Case Felony Voir Dire Johnson and Haney describe a study related to the voir dire process. The sixth amendment to the U.S constitution guarantees a defendant in a criminal prosecution the right to a speedy, public, and impartial trial by jury. Once it has determined that the trail will be by jury, the next step in the criminal proceeding is the selection of the jurors. During this process possible jurors receive a summons in the mall ordering them to appear in court at a specified time and date the people who are summoned comprise the venire (the prospective jurors for cases). Voir dire Latin term meaning to speak the truth, this is an examination conducted by the courts or by the attorneys of a potential juror or witness to determine if they would be proficient or qualified for services. Jurors questionnaires reveals information disqualifying them from jury service is only the first step in the jury selection process. Typical questions relate to whether prospective jurors know the defendant, the attorneys, or any of the witnesses, whether they have read or heard about the case in the media, and whether they have racial, nationality, or gender biases. Effective voir dire is getting the prospective jurors to tell the court or attorneys what they need to know. During the voir dire process, the way jurors are removed is part logic and part legal strategy. The judge determines that a potential juror is not likely to be fair to both sides in the case, than the juror will be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Argumentative Essay On Designer Babies Imagine a world where having a baby was like looking through a menu at some fancy restaurant. Imagine being able to choose how a baby will look and act. As mind boggling as it sounds, scientists and researchers came across an unbelievable discovery: it is possible to design and edit a baby however a person may like. Hanson asserts that personality, gender, appearance, intelligence, hair color, and height can be changed using technology that was originally used for animals (Hanson). These babies are called designer babies. Phillip Ball, a science writer, claims that it is possible to change the genetic makeup of an unborn baby using bio technology. However, these changes can have more negative effects than positive. Although most countries have not legislated the use of genetic modification, studies have been done on human embryos in China (Ball). According to The Ethics of Designer Babies article, a process called in vito fertilization must be done before any genetic changes can be made. In this process, the mother s mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and taken to a lab to be combined with sperm outside of the body. They are fertilized in a petri dish. This is the reason why they are sometimes referred to as test tube babies. After fertilization, the embryo is sent back into the mother s uterus and a third parent comes into play. The third parent, or the donor, has his or her mitochondrial DNA inserted into the embryo, a process known as cytoplasmic transfer. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Carbon Emissions And Its Effects On The Environment Greenhouse gasses (GHGs) pose a serious threat to the environment through acting as a catalyst for substantial climate change. Carbon Dioxide (CO2), a specific greenhouse gas, is the one that is the most prominent in our atmosphere; this being the case it is also causing the most damage. Carbon dioxide is emitted primarily through the burning of fossil fuels, such as oil and coal. These fossil fuels are burned in power plants and create large amounts of emissions that are not ideal for the environment. When faced with a problem similar to this one, it is only rational to think that a particular solution should be implemented. In this case, the solution is a carbon tax . These carbon taxes would be directed towards the sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Recently, British Columbia, Canada enacted a carbon tax, it has some strengths and weaknesses, the due has an effect on the economy, it also needs to be at a certain rate, it has been successful and unsuccessful, the tax is also has aspects of being revenue neutral and revenue recycling. A carbon tax as an idea for the reduction of hurtful greenhouse gasses is a brilliant one. Taxes like this provide a disincentive for certain behaviors, so what better way to reduce pollution? There are other policies out there, for example cap and trade programs and command and control regulations, but these are not as strong for reducing greenhouse gas emission. According to David Brodwin, a writer for U.S. New, a carbon tax would be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

What is Wrong with Out Penal System The Author Jack Kerouac said, In seeking to severely penalize criminals society by putting the criminals away behind safe walls actually provide them with the means of greater strength for future atrocities glorious and otherwise. In the position that prison reform is not justified and shouldn t be ruled in favor of, that I feel compelled to negate today s resolution. Resolved: Prison reform is not justified. For clarification of today s round, I offer the following counter definitions. To begin with, the word prison reform is defined as the attempt to improve conditions inside prisons, aiming at a more effective penal system. In addition to that, the term not justified is defined as something that is not shown to be right or reasonable. The highest value within today s round is efficiency and it is defined as performing or functioning in the best possible way with the least waste of time and effort. Efficiency is most important in today s round because it shows how prisons are functioning in the way that they are supposed to, and they are providing the prisoners will all of their necessities such as education as well as food. The best criterion for evaluating this resolution is effectiveness and it is defined as successful in producing a desired or intended result. It best achieves my value of efficiency because it clearly shows how useful it is and how it gets the job done respectively. In negating the resolution, I offer the following contentions beginning with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Sports Production Classification Every live sports production has its ups and downs. The Carson Newman versus Brevard men s basketball first half was no exception to this. There were five categories that the production of the broadcast was broken down into; camera angles, camera work, switching, shot selection, and replay. All of these categories play specific roles into making sure a broadcast goes on successfully. Only three categories are discussed, as switching and shot selection both fall under the director and there were no replays used within the first half of this particular production. The first category that one should look at while critiquing the live sports production is the camera angles or camera setup. By looking at the camera setup, one is able to better understand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Overall the shot selection was well done by keeping the wide angle shot the primary camera so that the audience could see the flow and rhythm of the game. The use of the hero camera was used effectively throughout the production of the first half. The hero camera was used most effectively during player fouls and after shots were made, so that the audience had an idea of who made the basket or the foul. The hero camera was also used particularly well right before the under twelve media timeout, in getting a close up shot of the player that committed the foul. The baseline camera selection really stood out the most during the break away dunks and the inbounds plays on the baseline. One shot that stood out was the opening lineups were the director switched from the wide shot to the hero shot, so that the audience could visually tell who the starters were for each team. There was a very well done transitional switch from the director at the 17:50 mark, the Brevard player grabs the rebound and goes coast to coast with the basketball. The director did a great job with choosing the student section baseline camera and then switching back to the primary camera to finish off the play. Another great use of switching came during the under sixteen timeout, the director made sure to transition from shot to shot, in order for the audience to get the full grasp of what was going on within the building. Another great shot came from the 14:25 mark in the game when the audience gets the close up of the official handing the ball to the player for an inbounds play on the far side of the court. There were some instances throughout the production that were sub par or did not transition as well. The opening tip was a great example as the director starts out with the wide shot, then goes to a back court shot, then back to the wide shot, then to the baseline shot. This was ... Poverty In John Steinbeck s As American As Apple Pie Poverty has now become As American As Apple Pie , a situation we choose to ignore, and along with it the millions of families who suffer from it. Many have this tendency to believe that they are safe from falling into poverty; unaware of the multiple situations that can cause one to fall into poverty. It makes one wonder what s keeping them from tipping over, eventually leading to the question, what makes poverty so common, and why is it still around? Following the recession and lost of millions of manufacturing jobs, many American families fell within the poverty line. As Rank describes in his article many turned to the safety net known as government aid during such times. Such assistance was to provide families in need with money and services needed to survive needed to survive before they could get back on their feet. Known as disadvantaged mothers these women who meet all these requirements for the program, no longer qualify. Reasons behind it include their inability to find a job within sixty months, while attending all required welfare programs and caring for their children. It s very difficult for these women to find a job and keeping one was even greater challenge. Alauddin, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of Petroleum Studies, AMU, Aligarh, India Abstract This is a new optimization algorithm which mimic the behavior of mosquito to find a hole in mosquito net, if any. Both the flying and sliding motion of the mosquito have been modelled and incorporated in the algorithm. The algorithm was tested for global minima on different type of benchmark functions of various dimension and modality. Namely Gramacy Lee, Ackley, Rastrigin, Rosenbrock, Griewank and Schwefel functions of one, two, five, ten and thirty dimensions. The experiment was done with thirty different seeds generated randomly for each function and dimension. The algorithm was found to be efficient, convergent and accurate. Keywords Evolutionary algorithm, MFO, PSO, GA, ACO, Benchmark optimization function I: Introduction Optimization can be defined as the search for the best possible solution(s) to a given problem. For this, there are a number of optimization techniques both conventional and new meta heuristics. The conventional methods are gradient based which are although quite faster in convergence, but are not applicable for discontinuous, non differentiable and complex multimodal functions. These techniques have limitations to find the global optima and have general tendency to stuck at local optima as they start with a single point. Hence there are exhaustive search methods to tackle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. Comparing Scarface 1932 And Scarface 1983 Remakes of films are a common occurrence. Sometimes remakes are incredible and introduce a generation to great films of the past, however, sometimes they aim too high and miss the mark completely. Scarface 1932 and Scarface 1983 is a great example of the latter. Scarface 1932 was the first of its kind in many respects while Scarface 1983 fell short. While at the core of both of these films they are the same, there are a few small plot discrepancies, but the message of the rise and fall of a man is identical. Visually these films are nothing alike. Beyond the obvious use of color in the 1983 film, the lighting, spacing, and camera work are all different. Scarface 1932 was revolutionary in its use of low key lighting while Scarface 1983 followed typical lighting conventions. The use of symbolism in Scarface 1932 was an added layer of complexity to the film that Scarface 1983 did not have. One thing both films did face quite extensively was censorship. Each film had to be heavily altered in some way in order for the public to view them. While neither film was truly in the production code era each film felt the effects regardless. On its own Scarface 1983 is not a bad film, but when compared to Scarface 1932 it pales in comparison. When one looks into why remakes occur so frequently, the answer that is found is nostalgia. Gangster films stem from nostalgia much like westerns do however in both examples neither one is at all an accurate depiction of the time period. Many ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Since the 70 s a lot has changed, we have changed in some ways and are similar in more ways than one. Here are the differences and similarities between the 70 s and today, 2017. In the 70 s the first president of the decade was Richard Nixon, he was the 37th president and was in office 1969 1974. Eventually Gerald Ford held office after Nixon resigned to avoid the eventual outcome of Watergate, which would have led to impeachment. Jimmy Carter then served as president in years 1977 1981, with Walter Mondale as vice president. Today in 2017 we have Donald Trump and Mike Pence, and people are begging for Trump to be impeached, similar to Nixon. Though people do see impeachment in Trump s future, but some do not. Another difference since the 70 s is the inflation of the dollar. A dollar in 1970 is worth $6.30 today, which is a 530.0% increase. A dollar in 1979 is worth $3.37, which is a 237% increase. When comparing the 70 s to today it is always best to compare the cost of living. In 1970 minimum wage was $1.60, today in New Mexico minimum wage is now $9.25. However, this core value creates difficulties for the right of self determination, this is because the right to life constricts a person s right to make autonomous decisions about his/her life (Tiensuu, 2015, p251). Which results in a paradox for the rights based argument the convention is primarily based on. The idea behind having a right is that one can waive this right, if one wished. Eventually, this time period led to the rise of feudalism, the immense power of the Roman Catholic Church, and many advancements in architecture, literacy, and art. The variety of events that occurred in this period allowed historians to label it as many things. Four of these labels are the Age of Faith, the Dark Ages, the Age of Feudalism, and the Golden Age of Europe . During the Medieval Era, people of Europe were in disarray and disunity, and they trusted every word the church spoke; therefore, the two best labels for this era are the Dark Ages and the Age of Faith. The Medieval Era came to be labeled as the Dark Ages for multiple reasons. When the Western Roman Empire collapsed, many barbaric civilizations found that it was the right time to invade and gain some land in Europe, a land filled with anarchy and disunity at the time. In this experiment, the trans isomer was expected to be the major product not only because trans alkenes are more stable but also because the phenyl substituents for the phosphoylide were anion stabilizing. This stabilization for the anion gives the antioxaphosphetane intermediate, which then produces the trans alkene. There was a low yield for the product, as much of the reactant remained in the analysis sample, despite what seemed to be a decent yield by mass. This could be because of poor mixing after the reaction was heated since much of the reactant had solidified. Another source of error could be in separating products since the fractions from column ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 32. Backpressure Based Adaptive Routing and Scheduling In... Under high traffic conditions, this works very well, and backpressure is able to fully utilize the available network resources in a highly dynamic fashion. Under low traffic conditions, however, because many other nodes may also have a small or 0 queue size, there is inefficiency in terms of an increase in delay, as packets may loop or take a long time to make their way to the destination. This is particularly of concern in intermittent encounter based mobile networks which are already delay limited due to the sparse and highly dynamic network connectivity. Such networks have proposed the use of redundant transmissions to improve delay, which do not work well when the traffic load is high. Routing protocol, such as Spray and Wait, that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The additional transmissions incurred by BWAR due to the duplicates utilize available slots which would otherwise go idle, in order to reduce the delay. Particularly for networks that are not energy limited, this offers a more efficient way to utilize the available bandwidth during low load conditions. In order to minimize the storage resource utilization of duplicate packets, ideally, these duplicate packets should be removed from the network whenever a copy is delivered to the destination. Since this may be difficult to implement (except in some kinds of networks with a separate control plane), we also propose and evaluate a practical timeout mechanism for automatic duplicate removal. Under high load conditions, because queues are rarely empty, duplicates are rarely created, and BWAR effectively reverts to traditional backpressure and inherits its throughput optimality property. By design, BWAR is highly robust and distributed and does not require prior knowledge of locations, mobility patterns, and load conditions. The duplicate queues are maintained and utilized as follows: Original packets when transmitted are removed from the main queue; however, if the queue size is lower than a certain threshold qth, then the transmitted packet is duplicated and kept in the duplicate buffer associated with its destination if it is not full (otherwise no duplicate is created). Duplicate packets are not removed from the duplicate buffer when transmitted. They ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I sat there for a few more seconds recovering from my shock, but then that shock turned to white hot anger. I could not believe that Frank would do such a thing! Then, as I began to wonder about why he had done it, the first flak burst hit near my plane. It terrified me to no end, and at that moment, I almost gave up and accepted my fate. I then remembered my other friends and paratroopers. I had to win this for them, for Tom, and for all of the other lives that were already lost in the assault. I turned my plane around and began the maneuvers that I had been taught to evade flak fire. Somehow, the flak kept finding me. One of my engines was hit directly, and I realized that I would have to jump. Terror gripped me as I desperately looked for the emergency parachute. I then realized that an earlier burst must have destroyed it. My eyes then fell on Tom s torn parachute. By now, the plane had begun a shallow dive which I had no control over, and I did not have much time. I jumped out of the cockpit and ran to the parachute.
