College Descriptive Essay
1. My Graduation Essay
Stepping upon a simple stage was the best thing I could have ever done. Overseeing the multitude
that was there to witness my every word, every tremble, every emotion, and every heart beat, was
then that I realized that the sentiment was real. It was essentially the end of time and I could not
bear to hold back what I no intentions of doing. Cry. Tears of joy darted down my face as I
walked across the stage and received my ultimate gift. With fancy inscription, my gift was entitled
"Class of 2009". I had just graduated. "Ok seniors, everyone settle down and take your seat with
your name on it". The principle conducted everyone as we prepared to get ready for our practice
graduation walk. Amusement and volume suffocated the gym as...show more content...
I could sense the stares glaring upon me as I switched positions every second in my chair. Two
hours wasted out of my life before the orator called my name. With a shamble walk, insensible
arms, and a tilted head I deliberated myself across the front of the gym and out the door. One of
my classmates ran out the door and past me with glee assuring me that she would see me on
Monday, the day of our graduation. Saturday and Sunday went by fast. Vowing that God had cut
off at least twelve hours off my weekend, Monday morning arrived. I had to be at the coliseum at
nine a.m. I woke up at eight thirty on the dot. With no essential worries and not a care in the
world what I looked like, I merely jumped out of bed and put my graduation dress, cap, and gown
on. In six minutes flat I was ready to go. I made it out my room and past the mirror wall right
before I was about to leave. Looking at myself I knew I looked unacceptable, but my mind could
not lead me to care. Right before I could make it out the door my mom vented her words of
refutation. "Where do you think you are going? You did not bother to brush your hair, wash your
face nor take a shower." Thinking quickly, I managed to use time as my excuse and scampered out
the door to avoid any more questions. When I arrived at the coliseum, I was quite confused
considering I did not listening to anything the principal had stated at practice graduation

2. College Tour Experience Essay
COLLEGE TOUR EXPERIENCE One of my main goals in life is to be successful. Becoming
successful is a lot of hard work. There are a total of twelve grades needed to be completed in this
lifetime, just to be able to gain acknowledgement and education of what will occur in life. Well I've
made it to my junior year in high school and it's been a rough road but I'm still pushing through. One
of my major goals is to make it to college to start my career and have a successful future.
The current high school that I'm attending is teachers preparatory. The deans, Ms. Wilson, Mr. Otto
and Mr.Gansrow allowed me to participate in this year college tour. Our bus trip to the first college
is Binghamton University. All I can think about is this can...show more content...
Another college that seems to provide that attention is Oneonta.
We arrived at Oneonta College and the first thing I see is SNOW!!! This tells me that the
temperature up here is cooler then the temperature in Brooklyn. The appearance of the school
seemed pretty quiet and small, which is an advantage towards Binghamton. When we entered a
young man who has graduated from Oneonta and now works there explained to us about
admissions, programs, and life on and around Oneonta College. Our tour guidance at Oneonta was a
junior name Alexis who majored in education and biology so far in the school. The first area she
showed us was the diner area which was smaller than the lunch space in Binghamton but it was
cozy and comfortable. Next were the classrooms which some can fit up to 300 students and some
were made for smaller classes such as 17 students to 1 instructor. Classroom setups are similar to
Binghamton but seeming that Binghamton has more space the classroom sizes may decrease.
Oneonta's majors are also similar to Binghamton, but this college seems to put more effort into
education majors which is another advantage. Lastly, Alexis showed us the dorm rooms which were
very short in height but made up in length and width. The rooms were smaller and less spacious as
the ones in Binghamton, but they were cozy and comfortable enough to live in. The classes seemed
to be decent

3. My College Journey
During my twelve years of school, I have grown accustomed to knowing the people and
businesses in my city, and they knew me. I didn't realize it, but the comfortable environment of
knowing my neighbors was limiting my emotional and social maturity. I did not have a reason to
"step outside the box," because I was in a place of comfort. As I embark on to this new college
journey, I will face many challenges that will offer a fresh start, on beginning a new chapter of my
life. There will be stumbling blocks towards transitioning to college life. These blocks involve
meeting new people, being self–sufficient, and adapting to my new environment. Although these
challenges are difficult, I know there will be many lessons learned. These lessons will only build
me as an individual mentally and socially. What I have learned during brief time at Xavier is that
I am now willing to allow myself to fly in the winds of life. I say that because, all successful
people have had to overcome their uncertainties. For instance, according to the article "10 Celebs
Who Faced Their Fears" on HuffPost, actress Sofia Vergara had to overcome her anxiety of Hispanic
viewers forming a new perception of her in order to fully play her role as Gloria on the show
"Modern Family"(Kuster) Another celebrity who had to defeat their fear is Bob Newhart (Kuster). To
become the successful comedian that he is, Newhart had to vanquish his stage fright(Kuster). Like
these successful individuals, I have some
